What is the best investing advice you have received?

Sharing about investing advice that I have received in my 30 years+ experience is channeling through decades of knowledge across various stages.

Nonetheless, here are two of the best pieces of investment advice I have received and look back at through the years:

Never sell your equity cheap-

One should never sell equity at a shoddier rate. We should continue investing and buy shares at a reduced price.

Make them work for equity-

Entrepreneurs investing in their own companies must bring in the expertise they need by paying equity instead of salaries. It aids to build together while saving funds initially. Some other pivotal advice that will benefit with investment decisions include:

Every investing advice is quantifiable. It is non-negotiable.

The most beneficial advice is what comes off from a Dumb man learning to speak. So, value it.

Stay Invested. Timing the market is like wanting to stay constipated!

Procrastination is last nights' word for todays' investing.

But there is one piece of advice that can dramatically change how you look at investing- The way to get started on investing is to stop talking.

Space Orcs FTW

Okay so I’m used to reading about us human-space-orcs being super hardasses and almost impossible to kill, even fighting with severe injuries if our will is strong enough, like missing limbs and stab wounds and toxins...

So shoot them in the head if you want to make sure they are dead, yeah?

It’s the central nervous system, it’s what keeps our body going and under control, it’s US!

But there are multiple cases of humans living without parts of their brain. You can be missing one half of your brain and if it was taken out when you were young the other half will just take over. (Okay, so some difficulties might arise, but nothing too severe.) In the case of Phineas Gage a metal rod through his head changed his personality and started a discussion about what makes us who we are and a revolutionary change of how we think about human brains.

And what if we hyper-intelligent space orcs could alter how much brain damage our soldier can take before there is no coming back for them?

WARNING: Gore, Horror, it got kinda out of hand what the ****

So just imagine: A battlefield, littered in bodies of different sizes and shapes. The last human falls. The Xanaran troops are almost decimated. They crawl through the carnage, gathering their wounded and dead. The battle was vicious, the humans beasts on two legs that just would not go down. You take their legs, they come after you with just their arms pulling them forwards, lying in hiding until they get a clear shot. You take their arms, they kick grenades at you in a suicidal act of agression. You take both, they can still suddenly roll in your way to trip you and snap at you with their teeth like savage animals. They were born fighters, not made to bow down or give up. Genetically engineered killing machines, bred like livestock and carefully chosen, altered on a molecular level to be the perfect fighter in battle. Their pack-bonds to their comrades only made them stronger, berserker that take all deaths on their side as a personal offense. 

The war may not be over, but they had won this battle, and won this base. Soon the medics and support troops would arrive to secure their victory.

X’Arra carrierd another of xyr comrades bodies to the death pile. Xe felt sad for their deaths, but still victorious, elated, reliefed xe wasn’t one of them. The human troop had been surprisingly small, far less than Xanara had expected to protect this base. They must not have expected the attack.

Time went by, but no shuttle arrived. X’Arra spared a glance at the red sky, trying to spot a ship coming to their aid. Surely, surely, they would be visible any time now.

There! Something, at the edge of the atmosphere, a glint, a light, a... a ship, burning bright red, not flying, falling, tumbling through the air, completely out of control like X’Arra’s horror. Another followed, and another. For a moment X’Arra wondered if this was what the ‘meteor showers’ on the humans’ death world looked like.

A guttural sound came from behind xem.

No... The humans were DEAD, they WON!

Xe turned around. There it was, the beast. The human was swaying on his feet, breathing heavily. It looked grotesque with it’s broken arm and disformed head. The wound was bleeding slowly, trickling the strange red fluid down it’s shaved scalp. In it’s unmangled hand it held a long piece of metal that must have been part of some structure before the fight broke out.

X’Arra chittered nervously. Surely it couldn’t still fight in this state?

Behind it xe could see more humans staggering to their feet. Moaning, growling, retching bodies that should have been dead. Were they really impossible to kill?!

The human lunged at xem screaming, wild eyed. In xyrs horryfied stupor xe was brought down easily. The metal smashed through xyrs exoskeleton. While X’Arra stared up into the manic face above xem, listening to the screeches of xyrs fellow soldiers, xe saw the explosion of the mothership lighting up the uncloaked enemy fleet that darkened the sky and realised...

...they never stood a chance.

Xanara got called Xan a lot growing up, but most people she knows now call her Tabris.

Joan got called Joaney Baloney when she was little, and it stuck until she joined the army. Now she is liable to cold clock anyone who calls her that, or even thinks about it. Most people call her Commander, or Shepard.

Edith Susanna Walcott is called Edith Susanna. Or Sue, but only if you know her well. She runs a shop, so she's just 'miss' to most people.

Norrona Lavellan is Inquisitor of Herald to most people, but typically prefers at least one of her names to be used. Nicknames include Rona, Ronie, Miss/Lady Lavellen (she laughs at that one).

Few people know Abraham Hawke's first name. Those who do may call him Abe, but not in mixed company. Same with his Twin Sister Of AU, Abigail. She's Abi, the very few.
