The MG XXXG-01SR2 Gundam Sandrock Custom. This is a bootleg kit made by Super Nova, that runs for about $50 (USD). First comment is similar to the one I made about the Super Nova Nataku, this is not a kit for beginners. I have over 11 years of modeling experience and this kit, while fun to build and own, was frustrating in the amount of extra work it required on every part at every step.

The basic Super Nova internal frame is based on the MG frame used for the Gundam Wing Ver. Kai kits the Bandai made. The external frame is pretty close to the MG Sandrock. The big difference comes in that there have been some extensions made to the internal frame to make the kit taller and have slightly different proportions from the Bandai kits. I actually like this look as it makes the suit look more streamlined.

There is also a massive increase in panel lines on the kit as well as a new gimmick on the backpack. You get everything the basic MG Sandrock came with plus more and almost all of the extras have been stylized to fit the Super Nova design.

As for the extra work that needs to be done on the kit; EVERY peg into a hole connection, EVERY moving joint, and EVERY notch into slot connection needs to be sanded or filed down a little so that the connections fit. The holes are either too small or the pegs are too thick. If you do not do this, getting parts to fit correctly without gaps is difficult if not impossible. I would say that you should not even test fit a part first as sometimes getting the parts back apart to work on them is nearly impossible to do. Other issues of not doing that extra work is that there will be many spots where you get plastic stress marks. The stress marks are common around joints that have rotation, so areas like the neck, knees, elbows, and where the heat shotels are mounted at.

Besides all of the assembly issues the kit rather good once built. The only issues I have with the built kit are the hip joints and joints at the upper arm. Those tend to come out/apart a lot when posing. The fixed pose hands are really good and the weapons are super slick. I really like the extended design of the gun.
