Do you thinks there's any Na'vi that are adapted to live in deep waters?

I hope there are! Personally, I would hope they look like ocean bottom dwellers:

Not wanting to make it creepy, but I personally like creepy! Give me deep sea Na'vi with milky eyes and skin that doesn't look appealing in natural light, but when it's pitch black...

Their true beauty shines ❤️

And they ride deep sea creatures that look scary like this:

And probably eat creatures that look like this:

The possibilities are endless. These Na'vi might not have any hair at all, or look like mermaids. Something between this:

I would like something that, yet again, makes me appreciate wildlife and the natural beauty of our world and the world of Pandora. BUT I would also like to be creeped out. Come on, Jim, give me the spooky side of Pandora!

So while rewatching Avatar: The Last Airbender recently, I noticed a trend

A number of spirits we see have an animal form, specifically animals we recognize as "normal" for us. For example:

- Wan Shi Tong is an owl and his knowledge seekers are foxes

- Tui and La are koi fish

- Hei Bai is a panda

-The guardian of the mother of faces is a wolf (The Search)

Heck there's even the talking Baboon spirit and the monkey missing its face that we see in the Spirit World at the end of Season 1.

Basically every time we've seen a "normal" animal, they've been a spirit.

My point? I argue that Bosco is a spirit bear that's chilling and living the good life in the mortal world just because he can.

Netflix, I don’t know how to tell you this but a woman doesn’t have to be self taught to be a strong female character. It’s ok to let her know her limitation and ask for help. It’s ok to let her get angry, it’s ok to let her be jealous, it’s ok to let your female character have flaws and WORK on them. Your female character doesn’t have to become a master on her own to be memorable, it just makes her accomplishment feel unearned.

Please just note that I’m talking about cartoons that started between 2010 and 2019 (and preferably ended before 2020, that's less mandatory but I want to prioritize cartoons that did all or at least the majority of their run during the New Tens), there’s a reason why ‘Kipo and the Age of the Wonderbeasts’ or ‘The Owl House’ are not on the list.

thinking about what zuko means to azula and weeping. he's a traitor but he's your brother. he held you when you were born. he's banished for being too weak to hurt your father and you learn to hate his goodness. he is somewhere in the world carrying your eyes. he misses your absent mother more than he loves you but that is the price you pay for being the one who stayed. he never grants you this same kindness. you are faster and deadlier and better but it doesn't change the fact that your brave big brother used to tell you stories of dragons every time it stormed because you were so afraid of the thunder. he is the only one who understands what it means to bear the brunt of your bloody inheritance. he crumbled under the weight of it, but you stayed. you always stay. he is half of you. you hate being betrayed.

you don't love him. he's your big brother. who could you possibly love more?

I've been making an avatar OC and she's a zoologist and I've come up with some things for Ikran that probably don't hold up well in canon

But I like to think about the biology of the world, I'm in a bio class. Do you think the herbivores have multi compartment stomachs? Do Ikran have gizzards? How do Pal'i get enough nutrients from nectar?

YES I LOVE THESE QUESTIONS:

Herbivores = multiple stomachs: They would almost have to, right? With the amount of vegetation they eat, they would need multiple stomachs to break down and digest everything properly (a design flaw on our part if you ask me. How come I can't have four stomachs?)

Ikran gizzard: Highly possible! If they do, it's obviously the Pandoran equivalent compared to what's known on Earth, but ikran are flight creatures that are also derived from the tsurak, an aquatic animal, and since we know that all birds and some aquatic animals on Earth have gizzards, it would make sense to me.

If you haven't already, I highly recommend purchasing Avatar-lore sourcebooks, especially if you're interested in Pandoran biology for you OC! I own both Visual Dictionaries (1 and 2) and James Cameron's Avatar: An Activist Survival Guide, which are both helpful tools in answering questions such as whether or not the pa'li gets enough nutrients from nectar!

In both books, they state that pa'li do not solely eat the sap from the direhorse pitcher plant. The sap is just their favorite food and are known to also eat tree bark, shrubs, and the insects that get stuck in said sap.

Another cool fun fact about pa'li from the source material:

"Xenobiologists believe that the touch of these antennae [between pa'li] is for pleasure and affection, and also a means of transferring information about food sources and potential dangers."

I always see the "sunshine" character reduced to someone who is simply happy and bubbly all the time and I was thinking about how I wanted a sunshine character who is sunshine but because they choose to be - because they wake up every day and choose kindness
