#Woods Blue Goddess Water Lily
Insider’s Tips on How to Care for Woods Blue Goddess Water Lily
Nymphaea, commonly known as the Woods Blue Goddess Water Lily, is a captivating aquatic plant that enhances the elegance and beauty of every pond or water garden. However, this aqueous gem requires a distinctive care routine to grow well and look attractive.
Hence, listed below are five useful tips to help you maintain your Woods Blue Goddess Water Lily in good condition:
Choose the Right Location:
It is important for growers to carefully evaluate and choose a convenient location for the flourishing development and growth of your Woods Blue Goddess Water Lilly. Make sure to place it where it can be exposed to sunlight for at least six to eight hours daily.  Even though these lilies can thrive in partially shady conditions, they bloom best in full sunlight. Moreover, confirm that the depth of your pond water is suitable for growing aquatic plants, especially lilies.
Remember, Woods Blue Goddess Water Lilies usually prefer a water depth that ranges from twelve to thirty-six inches.
Fertile Soil: As any other water lily would need, the Woods Blue Goddess thrives best in fertile soil. When planting or repotting, use heavy clay loam or aquatic planting medium designed specifically for water lilies. Never use ordinary garden soil as it may be too compacted and devoid of adequate nutrients necessary for growth. Apply aquatic water lily fertilizer tablet to your lilies throughout the growing seas to promote healthy growth and abundant blooming.
Master Pruning Techniques: You must prune regularly to keep your Woods Blue Goddess Water Lily healthy and looking beautiful. Whenever you spot any unhealthy yellowish or rotting leaves, pull them off immediately because they are likely to draw nutrients from the plant and thus foster algae development in your pond. Trim back spent flowers so that they produce more blooms throughout the season. Make clean cuts with scissors or shears without leaving jagged edges when pruning.
Control Algae Growth: Algae can easily overrun a pond, competing for sunlight and nutrients with water lilies. Keep your ponds clean by adding diverse plants, including submerged oxygenators and floaters like water lettuce and hyacinth. By shading the water’s surface, these plants can greatly reduce the amount of sunlight reaching them directly, reducing the growing conditions for algae. Furthermore, consider employing biological or natural algaecides that do not harm aquatic vegetation like your water lily but can control algae blooms.
Winter Care: Chilly winter weather can hinder the growth of your Woods Blue Goddess Water Lily by denying them enough moisture and sunlight. In regions where ponds freeze over, submerge your water lilies in deeper water that does not freeze solid. If you have a pond that does not ice up completely, you can leave it there but might have to prune dead leaves and remove any organic materials from its surface to avoid rotting. Use a pond de-icer to keep a small area of open water on the surface of your pond so that oxygen can reach inside and harmful gases do not accumulate.
Final Thoughts:
In summary, the five tips in the article guide our readers on taking care of Woods Blue Goddess Water Lily to make your aquatic garden thrive well in the growing season. Growers can witness beautiful blooms and lush foliage yearly through proper placement, the right soil nutrients, occasional trimming, algae control, and cold-season housing.

However, more research revealed another explanation. In the 1760s, Captain Jonathan Carver visited the Naudowessie (Dakota) and other Native American tribes and wrote that the name Worm Moon refers to a different sort of “worm”—beetle larvae—which begin to emerge from the thawing bark of trees and other winter hideouts at this time.
March’s full Moon often plays a role in religion, specifically in Christianity, this Moon is known as the Lenten Moon if it is the last full Moon of the winter season (i.e., if it occurs before the spring equinox) or as the Paschal Full Moon if it is the first full Moon of spring (i.e., if it occurs after the spring equinox).

This holiday marks the Spring Equinox, which happens before March 19-22. It is the second of three spring celebrations (the midpoint between Imbolc and Beltane)  during which light & darkness are again in balance, with light on the rise. It is a time of new beginnings & of life emerging further from the grips of winter.
There is much debate regarding the origins of Ostara due to the lack of primary sources about this sabbat. One theory is the name of Ostara came from the Anglo-Saxon goddess Eostre. Another theory is that Eostre is more of a localized goddess in Kent County, England. Despite the questions of her origins, Eostre is associated with modern-day Pagan traditions of Ostara.
There is no evidence that the ancient Greeks or Romans celebrated Ostara, although they did celebrate their own spring festivals, such as the Roman festival of Floralia & the Greek festival of Anthesteria. It was a time to honor the returning sun, fertility & rebirth.
Related festivals:
• Nowruz- March 19th
Nowruz marks the first day of spring & renewal of nature. It is celebrated on the day of the astronomical vernal equinox. It is also celebrated as the beginning of the new year by people all around the world for over 3,000 years in the Balkans, the Black Sea Basin, the Caucasus, Central Asia, the Middle East & other regions.
It promotes values of peace & solidarity between generations & within families as well as reconciliation & neighbourliness. Nowruz plays a significant role in strengthening the ties among peoples based on mutual respect & the ideals of peace and good neighbourliness.
Traditional customs of Nowruz include fire & water, ritual dances, gift exchanges, reciting poetry, symbolic objects & more; these customs differ between the diverse peoples & countries that celebrate the festival.
• Holi- March 25th
Holi is a popular & significant Hindu festival celebrated as the The festival of colors, Love &Spring. It commemorates eternal and divine love of the deities Radha & Krishna. Additionally, the day signifies the triumph of good over evil, as it celebratess the victory of Vishnu as Narasimha over Hiranyakashipu. Holi originated & is predominantly celebrated in the Indian subcontinent, but has also spread to other regions of Asia & parts of the Western world through the Indian diaspora.
Holi also celebrates the arrival of Spring in India, the end of winter & the blossoming of love. It is also an invocation for a good spring harvest season. It lasts for a night & a day, starting on the evening of the Purnima (full moon day) falling on the Hindu calendar month of Phalguna, which falls around the middle of March in the Gregorian calendar.
• Easter- March 31st
also called Pascha or Resurrection Sunday is a Christian festival & cultural holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day of his burial following his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary c. 30 AD. It is the culmination of the Passion of Jesus Christ, preceded by Lent (or Great Lent), a 40-day period of fasting, prayer, & penance.
Easter traditions vary across the Christian world & include sunrise services or late-night vigils, exclamations & exchanges of Paschal greetings, flowering the cross & the decoration and the communal breaking of Easter eggs (a symbol of the empty tomb) among many others. The Easter lily is a symbol of the resurrection in Western Christianity traditionally decorates the chancel area of churches on this day & for the rest of Eastertide. Additional customs that have become associated with Easter & are observed by both Christians & some non-Christians include Easter parades, communal dancing, the Easter Bunny & egg hunting.
Other Celebrations:
• Festival of Luna- March 31st
Is a feast day honoring the Goddess Luna who is seen as the divine embodiment of the Moon.
The Temple of Luna was a temple on the Aventine Hill in Rome, dedicated to Luna, the moon goddess. Its dedication was celebrated on March 31st, thus the celebration.
According to Tacitus, it was built by king Servius Tullius. However, the first confirmed reference to a temple to Luna dates to 182 BC & refers to one of its doors being knocked off its posts by a miraculous blast of air & shot into the back of the Temple of Ceres. That account probably places the temple at the north end of the hill, just above porta Trigemina. The temple was struck by lightning around the time of the death of Cinna, as was the temple of Ceres. After the destruction of Corinth, Lucius Mummius Achaicus dedicated some of his spoils from the city to this temple. It was destroyed in the Great Fire of Rome in 64 AD & not rebuilt.

Artemis and the Naids
Summary: Young Artemis brings her brother Apollo to the lake of the naiads
————————
"I've found it again!" Artemis cried out joyfully, breathing deep the crisp pine scented air. The secluded lake was a treasured discovery she had stumbled upon moons ago while tracking a stag through the woods. Gliding silently into the still waters, Artemis relished the cool caress of the lake as it enveloped her bare skin. Rays of sunlight dazzled on the surface like liquid diamonds. Below, she could see schools of minnows darting through swaying green fronds.
With a powerful kick, Artemis propelled herself deeper, her long auburn hair billowing behind her like seaweed. The muffled quiet of the underwater world embraced her, bubbles trailing from her lips towards the shimmering surface above. Artemis felt truly at home here, as though she were a naiad herself rather than a goddess.
As she surfaced, melodic laughter rang out, echoing across the tranquil lake. Artemis smiled as two naiads emerged from the shadows of the towering pines, their lithe forms glinting emerald in the dappled sunlight.
"Lady Artemis, you've returned!" one cried merrily, her dark hair slick and glistening.
"We hoped you'd find your way back to our waters," the other added, pools of crystal blue eyes radiating warmth.
Artemis paddled towards them, drops of water clinging to her supple skin like morning dew.
"I could never stay away for long, dear friends," she replied, embracing them fondly. Though she was a goddess and they but spirits, a deep kinship flowed between them here. This was Artemis' sanctuary from the mantle of godhood.
The naiads giggled, flashing glimpses of pointed teeth.
"Come, let's swim!" they exclaimed, pulling Artemis by the hands. The trio spent blissful hours frolicking, spinning weightless pirouettes beneath the glassy surface then rocketing skyward to arc and plunge back in with joyful abandon. Laughter echoed across the secluded lake as they inventing diving tricks, each trying to outdo the others.
Only when dusky hues seeped across the darkening sky did Artemis reluctantly pull herself onto the mossy bank. The naiads surfaced nearby, moonlight dancing in their eyes.
"Farewell for now, dear friends," Artemis sighed regretfully.
"Come back soon!" their melodic voices called as she slipped reluctantly into the shadows of the woods.
It wasn't long before Artemis returned, her step quickening eagerly as she caught the scent of water lilies on the breeze. This time, she brought her twin brother Apollo in tow. Though they were both Olympians, Apollo usually preferred the golden halls of Mount Olympus to Artemis' woodland haunts. But she hoped he would appreciate the beauty of her secret lake.
"Are we almost there?" Apollo asked, stumbling over twisted roots as he tried to match his sister's graceful pace.
"Just through the trees ahead," Artemis replied with a reassuring smile. She took her brother's hand, guiding him into the sheltered clearing. Apollo's eyes widened, reflecting the dazzling azure pool nestled amongst the encircling pines.
"It's beautiful here," he breathed, taking in the idyllic sight. Dusk bathed the lake in a violet hue, stars beginning to blink into existence in the darkening sky overhead. The minty scent of water lilies perfumed the air.
"Watch this!" Artemis laughed, sprinting towards the lake before launching into a graceful swan dive. Apollo chuckled as she emerged, rivulets streaming down her pale shoulders.
"Come in, the water's sublime!" she called. Apollo grinned and readily joined her. The naiads emerged from the shadows, regarding Apollo curiously, their smiles more restrained than when Artemis had come alone. She was sister to them, at home here beneath the rippling surface, while Apollo's glowing radiance marked him as an outsider.
Oblivious, Artemis swam below, demonstrating how she could catch fish with her bare hands. But Apollo was captivated by the naiads, paddling closer with a charming smile.
"What are your names, fair naiads?" he asked. They shied from his gaze, submerging until only their eyes shone above the water. Apollo was undeterred, making his way to the mossy bank where one had left a flower crown.
"A gift for you lovely ladies," he proclaimed with a flirtatious grin, placing the crown atop his golden curls. The naiads giggled, some of their apprehension fading. With coaxing from Apollo, they began playing a game, tossing a jewel-bright pebble back and forth, trying to catch each other off guard.
Artemis noticed their laughter and rolled her eyes in amusement. Her brother never could resist an audience. But his antics were harmless enough. As dusk deepened into night, Artemis lay back floating, staring up at the emerging stars as the naiads' melodic voices and Apollo's bright laughter rang out across the still water. A contented smile crossed her face. She had shared something special of hers today, and her brother had delighted in it. For now, all was right in their world.

am i beautiful? - hacta x charon
trigger warning for torture, emotional manipulation, blood, and experimentation!
Disclaimer: I do not condone any of this behavior and if Charon was real, I would despise her with my whole soul
summary: charon comes across an innocent little woman in the forest. she's beautiful, she's lonely, and she's prime material to become her own. dr. mpofu is fascinated by her. to make sure she is not betrayed again, she would resort to extreme measures that will irreparably harm the object of her adoration.
-~-
a meteor landed on the lands of south aurum.
from inside the crater, lays... someone. their skin is shimmering lavender, with the texture of the moon's craters. they appear to be.. a human, with no identifiable sex.
their eyes are everseeing.
-
it's another boring reconnaissance mission. the only reason she's here is to find something.
now if only something interesting happened...
"madam mpofu-"
"it's doctor for you. what do you want?", charon glared at the soldier who had just breathlessly returned.
"i'm sorry! umm.. i found..", she points at a clearing in the forest.
-
it's a beautiful dark blue-haired woman (seemingly one, based on her anatomy) with purple skin. she's wearing nothing, which is quite curious. the victim of a trafficking ring? escaped from a home? a lost child raised in the woods? charon is fascinated.
her gaze lands on the vines creeping on the woman's back. she's even more amazed at how these vines dig into her skin. her skin is strange and wonderful. her eyes are the galaxy reflected in them. she's almost godlike.
"so? what is your name?", charon kneeled to her eye level.
"..i am hacta, i am an informant, i am a Library member.", the woman gets up, and yet charon remains on the ground.
"oh, so the Library has finally responded to my call for an assistant. very well, come along."
"dr. mpofu! but.. but the..", the soldier looked around. they were still standing in a crater, after all.
"ugh, just get someone else to deal with it. i have more important matters to handle."
"yes, ma- doctor!"
-
hacta's not used to this new sensation. she's been injected with some strange fluid that feels so warm. it's burning her skin and her eyes are watering. a stinging sensation on her right arm.
"don't worry, my dear marionette.", charon smiled.
a strange term to refer to me. i am not the puppet you people wish to defeat, hacta thought.
"you're beautiful, you know?", her hands softly caress hacta's face.
"yes, doctor.", hacta nods. something's wrong with this woman. she's unsafe, predatory. even by the glint in her eyes, she can tell how snake-like she is.
suddenly, the flowers growing on hacta are plucked, and a wave of pain emerges. blood spills out from where the flowers were, and charon gasps.
"oh, that won't do. i'll grab the bandages as well as my healing serum- well, its prototype, anyway. stay alive, beautiful goddess."
stay alive.. a foolish command. humans can't control when they die. hacta stayed quiet. she wasn't given the order to scream in pain, but it was unbearable, seeing the lilies be plucked from her skin. they had been an important part of her for too long.

Adventure of a Lifetime (Skyward Sword story)
Summary: Being a Hero is difficult and filled with trials. However, it isn’t all bad, and while on his quest, Link takes a moment to appreciate everything around him.
Link looked around Faron Woods in wonder. He’d never seen so much water in his life, and he’d definitely never seen it so deep before. Every time he thought he’d grasped just how much Faron had flooded the region he’d squint through the clear water’s surface and find that he was higher off the ground than he would be while standing on top of the goddess statue in Skyloft.
Taking a deep breath, he looked down at the magical score Faron had given him. It looked like he had seventeen clusters of notes, which meant seventeen groups of tadtones. A small, irritated part of him grumbled how Faron still demanded he prove himself when he’d clearly done so earlier. An anxious, doubting part of him said it was probably for the best considering how he’d already messed up several times in his journey. He shook his head. It was time to get moving; there was no point in lingering on any of the voices swirling in his head.
Stuffing the musical score into his pouch, Link took a deep inhale and jumped off the Great Tree. The cool water immediately invigorated him, and as the world around him took on a crystal blue hue, he immediately caught sight of a couple light blue fish whose scaly, shimmering tails were erect like little flags on poles, mimicking eighth notes on a musical score. Link saw his eyes widen and his heart rate spiked. Ah, those were tadtones!
Swimming towards the tadtones, he saw aquatic creatures of all sort shimmying around the flooded woods. Bright, colorful scales reflected sunlight as it danced in excitable patterns through the water, casting rainbows on tree bark and rock. Tall grass and bushes that had previously served as obstacles now waved cheerfully in their weightless bliss. The tadtones Link had honed in on were swimming in circles, dodging lazily in and out of the grass.
Link felt the water dragon’s scale glow as he shot ahead in a spin, and the tadtones in question got sucked into the little vortex he’d created. The instant they touched him, they gave a happy little hum and disappeared in a blaze of blue light, which leapt into his pouch to no doubt occupy the score he was carrying.
Link nearly lost his breath in wonder at all of it. This… this was fun!
His chest burned a little as his breath started to give out, and he quickly made his way to the surface. When he popped out, he heard an excited yell nearby, and twisted to see Jelyff swimming over.
“Hero! There you are!” The leader of the Parella said as she easily reached him. “I wanted to tell you I saw a tadtone off to the north under some lily pads! I don’t know how you’ll be able to reach it, but it’s trapped, so at least it can’t get away from you!”
Link nodded with a smile in thanks before glancing around. Based on the amount of light piercing through the cloud barrier, the sun was high in the sky, but it was most decidedly morning, so he had plenty of daylight to figure this out. He wished the sun was visible down here so he could figure out his directions easily, but his map would suffice. As he got his bearings he felt the water gently play with him, sloshing him left and right and giving his tired joints some rest. He giggled as Jelyff swam away, creating a little current that pushed him and spun him in a circle.
Once he was oriented, Link took another breath and dove under the surface. With the scale gifted from the goddesses he could swim much faster underwater than above, so it was more efficient this way. Not to mention he could see everything around him! He’d never seen the water so alive. Parella twirled in delight at the sudden increase in their territory, singing and chasing each other. The sound was high pitched, like Kukiel’s ecstatic squeals when she ran through Skyloft or Crimson’s excited cries when they’d dive to pick up some speed. Smaller fish darted to and fro, one bumping into Link’s cheek and planting a sloppy, slimy kiss as it assumed he was edible, almost making him giggle and lose his breath entirely.
He couldn’t wait to tell Zelda about all of this.
Of course, not all of the water creatures were friendly. There were some bloated fish (what was it that Fi had called them? Froaks?) that had caused him trouble in the past when they’d invaded Faron’s region. A simple spin would take care of them, however, so long as he stayed away for the inevitable explosion (he’d learned after the first time, inhaling half a lung’s worth of water and being knocked into a wall was not fun).
Weren’t there others that were bad too? Link swore he remembered one more…
The Parellas below squeaked and swam away in a hurry. Link watched other fish flee the area as well. Senses alert, he looked around wildly but he didn’t see anything in sight.
And then he turned around and saw a large fish with an enormous head charging right for him.
Crap, crap, move move move move MOVE—
Feeling his lungs freeze, Link used the scale to spin out of the way as the orange fish tore through the water he’d just occupied. Its glowing scales shifted to dark blue, allowing it to blend into the water a little bit, but its large size made it obvious.
Okay, so he had forgotten the other fish. He’d have to ask Fi to remind him of their names. He loved learning about all the different species down here, even if it was overwhelming at times.
More importantly, though, he needed to remember how to get rid of them.
Well, the only way he could defend himself underwater was a spin attack. He swam above the creature and aimed for its head, and they both grunted at the impact. Link felt a little dizzy all of a sudden, missing being able to use his sword, but he saw the fish flip over, belly exposed.
Ah, now he remembered. Spinning again, he watched the defeated creature float into the depths before he resumed his original path.
He was starting to run out of air again. Looking upward, he smiled in delight as he spun, leaping out of the water and feeling his stomach hover in midair as the arc of his leap let him pause, like when he would fly with Crimson and be at the crescendo of a loop. The sunlight allowed through the cloud barrier kissed his skin, warming him briefly, and he laughed as gravity pushed him back into the depths.
It didn’t take too long to reach the lily pad in question. A tiny yellow tadtone hovered around the spiky stalk of the pad, looking timid and lost. Link felt a little bad for the poor creature; maybe it had accidentally poked itself on one of the thorns and was too scared to move. Either way, he’d handled these lily pads in the ancient cistern, so he’d be able to rescue the little creature.
Surfacing, he found a cliff he could scale. His movements felt impossibly sluggish and heavy as he walked, having grown accustomed to the water, and despite the morning sunlight, the breeze made him shiver. A bokoblin stood at the top of the cliff, and he dispatched it easily.
Looking down, Link sized up the location of the lily pad and the best place to jump, and then he ran and leapt with careless abandon, smile reaching his eyes as the wind rushed by his ears. This wasn’t the same as sky diving, but with as much time as he had to spend on the Surface he loved every moment he could just throw himself into the air.
The lily pad collapsed quickly under his feet and he held his breath as the entire plant flipped over in one swift motion. The little yellow tadtone didn’t have time to rush away as it tapped Link and vanished into his pouch with a little hum and a flash of light.
 Two down, fifteen to go.
Surveying the area, Link saw Parellas and other critters swimming around and exploring their surroundings, but none held the notable tails. He suddenly realized how small those fish were and how big of an area he had to cover.
As he considered it, the Master Sword chimed, garnering his attention.
Curious, Link breached the surface. “Fi?”
His sword hummed, and a magical otherworldly tune echoed around him as Fi appeared before him.
“Master, I want to inform you that I have been able to calibrate for the tadtones. You can now dowse to seek their location.”
Link’s face immediately brightened. This would make things much easier! “Thanks, Fi!”
Tipping her head in acknowledgement, the sword spirit lingered a second longer, making Link almost wonder if she had more to say, when she turned back into the ball of light that allowed her to return to her resting place.
Smiling and renewed with determination, Link drew the blade and allowed Fi to direct him as he swept over the area. He couldn’t dowse for too long while he tried to stay afloat as it was tiring, but it at least set him on the right path.
As Link set out, Parellas swam in circles around him, singing, “Tadtones! Tadtones!”
Looking around, he didn’t see any nearby, but he realized they were just too exuberant to contain themselves. He smiled and nodded at them and got momentarily distracted, chasing the Parellas as they danced in the water, and the currents they created let him dance as well without any effort.
When he resumed his search, the latest tadtones, a set of eight turquoise scaly creatures, were in single file trying to escape in a flurry of wiggles. A quick spin allowed him to catch seven, but his lungs were straining at this point and he started to head for the surface when he saw the turquoise lights escape his pouch and slip back into line with the leader. He supposed that meant he had to catch them all at once. Irritated, he headed for them again, his vision blurring slightly, when the Master Sword chimed, and he relented, swimming to the surface.
It wasn’t until he took his first gasp of air that he realized how out of breath he’d been. It took a few seconds for him to finally call to Fi, who quickly materialized in front of him.
“Master,” she said pointedly. “You were quickly running out of oxygen. I wanted to remind you that the tadtones only have a specific area in which they are confined, and with dowsing you will be able to locate them.”
You almost drowned. Take it easy. We have time.
Link rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. “Right. Thanks, Fi.”
Sufficiently schooled, the Skyloftian let himself rest on the water’s surface for a moment. Kikwis bounced from lily pad to lily pad, some with frantic chirps, while others were surveying the water. A fish Link didn’t recognize breached the surface with a jump that echoed the one Link had done earlier, and he suddenly wanted to spring into the air again.
Laughing, Link held his breath and dove. Fi was right. He could take his time. It would be okay to relax today. Besides, he had so much to see! The Surface offered so many wonders, and it was nice when he had the opportunity to enjoy them.
Overwhelming gratitude washed over him, and Link paused in the midst of his hunt to sit on one of the few perches of land available, his feet swishing in the water. He wiped the water and tears off his face and looked up at the sky.
Thank you, Link prayed. Thank you, Din, for such beautiful natural architecture, for the mountains and seas. Thank you, Farore, for the life within it, for all the creatures and plants and beauty. Thank you, Nayru, for the harmony of all the life here. Thank you for the gifts you all gave me to help me endure this journey.
Thank you, Hylia, for the gift of being here, of witnessing this, of being able to help.
 Thank you.
Taking a shuddering breath, Link closed his eyes and bowed his head. He gave himself a moment to bask in the world around him, to bask in his heart and mind and the whirlwind of the two clashing, sights and sounds connecting to feelings and sensations.
And then he opened his eyes, drawing out the Master Sword, and smiled.
Time to get back to work.

“Enjoying the view, beautiful?” X Damiano
Dream View
Y/n looked out the balcony and took in her surroundings. Right in front of their house was a long alley leading to a meadow, hidden deep in the woods. There were trees, plants and flowers everywhere and y/n thought she could never be more in love with a place.
What made it truly special is that it was hers. Hers and Damiano’s.
Their relationship had been long and rocky. To say the least.
With Damiano being an international rockstar and Y/n an achieved medic, work and stress brought them apart more often than they would have liked.
Oh how many nights could y/n think of in which she would cry herself to sleep, praying she hadn’t lost Damiano forever.
All her prayers must have been answered, because just today they had moved into their new house.
It was a large villa in the countryside. They both loved every single thing about it, especially the privacy and intimacy it offered them.
One month ago, when they had come to visit the house for the first time, both of them pointed out how large it was. Because of that single thought on their head, they brushed past it.
Once they went upstairs, the agent mentioned that there were plenty rooms for more than two people, a soft smile on his face. Damiano immediately dragged Y/n to a spare room and hugged her from behind, resting his hands on her stomach.
“Love, I think I want to spend the rest of our lives here.”
They were both grinning like love-struck teenagers when they exited the room, exploring the house once more, with a new-found interest.
The way y/n was currently prompted against the fence made it easy for Damiano to embrace her just as he did one month ago.
“Enjoying the view, beautiful?”
She hummed, her eyes lighting up at his presence.
“What are you thinking about?” He whispered in her ear, leaving countless kisses on her neck.
“You..” she purred, pleased at the contact. Damiano chuckled a little and turned her around, pushing her against the fence.
“Aren’t you always.” He said smiling, brushing a few strands of hair from her face.
“Im bored.” Y/n sighed, looking around the balcony.
A devilish grin appeared on Damiano’s face as he led her back inside.
“You know what we haven’t done yet?”
Y/n raised a quizzical eyebrow and hummed.
“Ikea. Furniture. Chaos. Let’s go babe!” He turned around, still holding her hand so she would follow him, a hand raised in the air as he gestured widely.
“Oh gods have mercy.” Y/n giggled, before she grabbed her purse and a water bottle.
***
“FOR FUCK’S SAKE Damiano! WE are NOT getting a NEON PINK glow in the dark couch!” She exaggerated each of her words, making sure all of them reached her incredibly stubborn boyfriend.
“Fuck yeah we are.” He said calmly, checking the price tag.
“I swear to fucking god, WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WITH IT?”
“FUCK ON IT!” He screamed out so loudly, the whole store heard.
Y/n closed her eyes tightly and pursed her lips, hoping the ground would open and swallow her whole.
“Please tell me I had a hallucination and you did not scream that out.” She whispered, embarrassment creeping up her cheeks.
“You told me that honesty is key. Are you saying you were wrong?” He asked loud enough for the people around to hear, a shit-eating grin on his face.
“No fucking kisses for you, motherfucker.” She deadpanned, while brushing past a pouty, devastated, mess of a man.
***
“Y/n look!” He whispered excitedly in her ear, pointing to the baby section.
“I can see that, darling.” She answered softly, already grinning like a fool.
They made their way towards a small cradle, which was decorated with white stars and dark blue sheets.
“This one is so beautiful.” Damiano breathed out, brushing a finger along the wooden structure.
“It actually is!” Y/n responded, surprises at the creative decorations.
“Until now I think I’ve only seen clouds and princesses or bows. But not galaxies.” He commented, his gaze now fixated on the lamp above.
“So were you serious about wanting a baby?” Y/n asked reluctantly, afraid to hear his response.
“Are you kidding me? Did we really buy a fucking mansion for two people and two cats?” He faked an emotionless expression, but Y/n could tell he was amused.
“Okay, okay, I just wanted to make sure.” She blushed at the whole conversation and continued to look at the furniture.
“What would you want to call the baby?” He peeped in, magically appearing next to her.
Y/n hummed and thought of an answer, before speaking again.
“Well, If it’s a girl, I really like Calliope, we could call her Alia, and if it’s a boy, I’m kinda obsessed with Sebastian or Matteo.”
“Ew.”
Y/n frowned, confused, and turned to him.
“What?”
He scoffed and rolled his eyes. “I have two names being repeated in my music and you don’t even bring them up. Rude.”
Y/n snorted and gave him a quick kiss.
“Oh, you baby. Of course I like Marlena and Coraline but I don’t want our child to be named after someone who keeps leaving or someone who always cries and has anxiety.” She joked, earning a dazzling laugh from Damiano.
“Fair enough. I really did like Alia though!” He commented, picking up a pair of baby shoes.
“Y/N!!!” He exclaimed, holding the little shoes in his large hands, while jumping up and down.
“THESE BARELY FIT ON MY FINGERS!!” His eyes were full of adoration and longing as he looked at them, a million possibilities speeding around through his mind.
“Can you imagine? Having a little munchkin who looks just like us and is this small?” Y/n giggled, holding one of the shoes delicately.
“Honey I think we should have children with separate people.”
Y/n was shocked at his words and pulled away instantly, insulted at his words as regret flashed over his face.
“WHAT?!” She all but screamed, already feeing a dreadful sensation in her stomach.
“Chill. I meant that we are both so hot out future child will probably anger Venus herself with their looks.” He replied wide eyed, mimicking his version of a goddess.
Y/n bursted out laughing as Damiano joined her, the couple becoming the centre of attention once more.
“We should really be more quiet.” Y/n whispered through giggles, as she pulled Damiano behind a wall.
He nodded and kissed her gently, before pulling away and continuing to look at clothing.
The couple spent hours at the shop, proud with their purchases, and returned home on the dark streets.
They were both seated on a swinging chair, y/n in Damiano’s lap, overlooking the woods.
“We’re gonna make great parents some day.” Damiano whispered, breaking the silence, as his hand wandered over her stomach.
Y/n had never felt happier, her heart filled with love and certainty, as she nodded and nuzzled further into Damiano.
Author’s note: I have baby fever part two (?) or maybe three. Anyway. I think it’s cute👏🥺😩

Tokoyami x reader- Big city, small pond
Fluff + Nature took back the earth AU combined with fantasy AU
You didn't take a breath before sinking back down from the side of the moss overrun pavement into the flooded road, deepened after many years of abrasion and sinkholes popping open intermittently. Deep enough for anything to swim in at least, though clementine traffic cone's still floated and drain covers for manholes had rusted and chipped away at the side. Litter still filled the bottom of the sinkhole but had all seemed to collect in the deep abysses. Metal benches were still bolted to the floor but had new river weeds and algae wrapped around each section of the skeleton but it was a wonderful place for anything to sit.
Your gills split open on your neck and you walked the depths of the "river" the reflection of miraculously working street signs for takeaways that greedy humans reopened over and over no matter how many times mother nature reclaimed the earth. Your finger's brushed the scales of an orange carp darting past you and you kicked your leg's out, turning them to an iridescent (f/c) fishtail, ending and transforming to human at the hips, your skirt clung to the tail under the water and your flowy t-shirt billowed out when you moved sharply, turning a corner or halting quickly to watch something.
Your tail kicked up rocks and dust which swirled in the water and settled at the bottom again as sediment. You scoffed at a human dropping a paper wrapper into the water that turned too much and landed on the floor, a few balls of red and white paper landing on your arm then tumbling off.
You popped your head up feeling a lily pad drooping down over your hair and covering your right eye. "Hey!" you shouted but the human was on his knees looking into the water in annoyance "Excuse me! I don't appreciate your wrapper dissolving in my river!" you shouted and he lifted his head, ruby eyes fluttered to you pulling the lily pad off your head, flopping it back onto the water where it drifted further away.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to drop it, I was trying to find it now" he sighed in annoyance at the knowledge it was gone. He sat cross legged at the side and tilted his head looking at you. "Mermaid?" it was definitely supposed to be a question but it sounded more like a surprise than curiosity. You rolled your eyes and repeated his word in a mocking tone "oh mermaid? No. I'm not a mermaid, I'm a nymph obviously. How would you like it if i just assumed you were a crow!" you crossed your arms, your tail fins swishing back and forth impatiently. "I suppose I'd be most irritated" he scratched the back of his neck and hung his head.
You sighed swimming closer to the edge and rested your forearms on the kerb next to him. "It's whatever. Not like you city folk would know a difference anyway. Mother nature did all she could to reclaim the earth as hers and you still poison us with your plastic and oil and deforestation" you listed the minimum amount of things humans had done yet it was still enough for him to feel a guilty punch to the gut. "I'm sorry for what my species did to the earth" he spoke on behalf of a race that didn't care. The human race. But it was nice to hear an apology for once instead of someone claiming it wasn't their fault.
"My name is tokoyami fumikage" he held out his hand and you took it, the web's between your fingers stretching out slightly and you analyse him curiously "(y/n) macdonald." he nodded and smiled at you politely "You have a very nice tail" he said unsure how to continue your conversation, it wasn't like he could just ask you to get up and join him for a dinner and get to know you, though honestly he wasn't sure how nymphs worked, for all he know maybe you could? "Thank you. It's my favourite colour!" you grinned swishing it behind you and hopping on the edge on the path with all your strength.
You kicked your tail out and they transformed into legs dipping into the water and creating ripples around your calves and he stared amazed at your split appendages, skirt still hugging your thighs nicely and your t-shirt stuck to you like a puppy with abandonment issues.
"The difference by the way. This is the difference between mermaids and nymphs. Mermaids are usually really rude too" you explained, picking a string of riverweed from your leg and flinging it into the water to drift along the shore or sink to the bottom. He hummed in response since he couldn't agree or disagree, for now he would stay a neutral party unwilling to get on your bad side again. "I see. How did you end up here anyway aren't nymphs supposed to be out in like... rivers and lakes?" he queried and you sighed looking at the murky water sadly, missing the feel of your own river. "Uh, when mother nature decided to shift stuff around and the big tsunami flood thingy came it flooded my river and we all ended up somewhere different. Maybe it was on purpose but I ended up here" you swung your legs in the water tapping the stone ground with your fingers.
You missed the smell of earth surrounding your crystalline lake running off into smaller streams and your favourite river for finding pebbles in. you missed the fluffy flax seed that stuck to you when you were drying off in the long grass by the bank and that floated on top of the water for fish to pop up and suction down into their stomach. You missed your friends mostly, almost sisterly bonds between all of you now severed and spread across all of japan.
"I miss home really. For all I know my friends could be home waiting for me" you exhaled deeply and tokoyami sadly glanced at you wondering how far your legs could take you. "What if I helped you get home?" he asked and you jumped excitedly. "You would really help me! Don't you have school or friends or anything? Are you sure you can help?!" you blabbered for a minute or so about how inconvenient it would be and how you didn't know how far you would have to go until he stopped you. "My school is on break right now so I have about 2 months off before I need to go back. Most of my friends are going to look for a cause of the reclamation too since half our school is unusable since it started so I have no qualms helping you"
You jumped up and down giddy and dove back in the water splashing him with water that rolled off his feathers, soaking the choker on his neck and you apologised. "I'm just so excited to go home! Thank you so much!"
And so began your long journey to your home. You passed hundreds of abandoned buildings crumbling to nothing with vines twisted up the sides and supersized branches through the shattered windows, ivy had crawled up the walls of every structure you passed and you talked aimlessly along the way. "So mother nature is-" "a goddess inside the earth" tokoyami nodded at your explanation and looked around in understanding. One of her creations had destroyed the other, the necessary one, and she was proving that humans were expendable. "I'd be pissed too if my home was being filled with gross plastic." you giggled and smiled thankful that someone finally took you as sane, you were tired of truth seekers who didn't like the truth they gave them. They had too much blame on them so they went to find something else.
A month flew by quickly, you spent as much time swimming along streams that you could but of course not every path was filled with water, so it was a long journey for someone who wasn't used to walking barefoot on the actual ground for huge periods of time.
"What are your friends like?" Tokoyami asked, pushing a bish out the way for you to crouch through and you hummed, "caring. They care about a lot of things like climate change, obviously, but also silly stuff like um the best wood to carve you and your significant other's name in, or which leaves are the shiniest at golden hour. We have to make up fun little games or we'd just get bored" you smiled and he chuckled. They sounded similar to you, pointing out tiny details on your quest like spiderwebs covered in dew hidden in the grass, or perfectly round stone's that were shiny in the sun, it made sense you wanted to get back to them so badly.
The trees opened up to an empty circle of grass and a circle not much smaller of water, flowing over the sides of the bowl into the grass and streams wound along into their own segments of the forest. "Home... i'm home! I'm home i'm home i'm home!" you cried jumping up and down and sprinting into the gorgeous blue water and immediately your legs changed to your (f/c) tail, glowing in the sun as you floated on your back and soaked up the water. "Come in come in!!" you shouted while waving at tokoyami.
You had taken rest stops at old hotels and decrepit houses to check for water and of course food and sleep but there was enough civilization along the way to keep you going. But tokoyami hadn't had a bath, a real bath, one he didn't have to fill with a showerhead, in a month and god he wanted to relax desperately.
He peeled off his sticky t-shirt and hung it over a tree branch dipping into the water and relaxing immediately. "This is surprisingly warm" he muttered watching you splash around joyfully and sunk under the water. It was so clean he could keep his eyes open and watch you dip in and out of the water bouncing like a dolphin.
You swam over to him and he sat back up shaking the water out of his feathers and you smiled hugging him tightly "thank you for taking me here. I wish I could help you get back home but I don't think i'd make it back here myself. You sighed and he shook his head. "It's okay, I have other ways of getting home. I don't have to leave right now. I'll stay for another fortnight but then I probably have to go" he looked at his phone glad he had data and could contact hawks at the click of a button.
In 14 days that went by like rapids over rocks tokoyami had to say goodbye and hawks picked him up from your spot on the way back from a mission. 2 of your friends had also found their way home so you weren't lonely and tokoyami had promised to visit. "Okay and be safe home okay! I hope I see you soon!" you shouted as hawks lifted him into the air and he nodded in a silent agreement and waved.
"See you soon (y/n)!" he shouted back and you jumped in a wave as they disappeared into the bright blue sky reflected in your lake.
"Sooo..." one of your sisters sidled up next to you and you blushed "don't even! I know what you're going to say" you shoved her away and she laughed at you teasintly.
"Soo..." hawks started and tokoyami rolled his eye's "no hawks"

A Childe X Lumine Fanfiction

----
During moments of utter silence, Childe recalls that which Lumine once told him about a book she had read from a far away land.
"It is of utmost importance that those who seek to fight monsters must not become one in the process."
He likes to think that perhaps, by mentioning it, she had once hoped that he would be reminded of his main aspiration—to conquer the world that is, and not to simply bathe in the blood of his enemies.
It has its merits, he admits—for he finds himself fighting alongside her during the turning point of the war, the darkness in him dampened by the white light she emits—cleansing the corruption that has resided in him for the longest time.
This too though, reminds him of another of her words.
"The deep dark abyss—stare for too long and it would stare back to those who dare."
It is true, for he knows that ever since he dropped down that hole in the world, he emerged as a monster that is only tamed by bloodshed.
And from the moment he knew Lumine, perhaps by her as well.
He has always carried a portion of that so-called abyss, feeling its vines wrapping inside his very being. He is a monster, that much is true, but tamed as one can be, he became a tool under her commands.
He does not care, for it is times with her when the whispers of the dark become muted—turned into nothing but echoes of the past.
"Childe? Breakfast?"
The man spies her slender form by the doorframe of his bedroom, sees her domestically ushering his sleepy person into the kitchen and he feels as though he had achieved that which he desires, with her by his side.
To conquer the world.
They did. They won. And it was all that he could ask for.
Celestia is no more. The abyss is no more. It is just him, Lumine and the rest of the world.
He smiles as he sits down at the table, reaching for her hand as she places the bowl of steaming Calla Lily Seafood Soup before him.
"Oh, my favorite. What's the occasion, girlie?"
"Mhm, nothing in particular. Just wanted to cook something special for you." she smiles back and he thinks he saw the glimmer of stars beyond her eyes.
Or perhaps it was nothing but an illusion, masking the deeper end of the void he is familiar with—if such end even existed.
Childe shakes his head for he believes that that is not the case. Lumine is here with him. And the abyss is no more. It is no more.
And if the calling of that dark bud inside him grows too strong anyhow, he knows she is here to defeat it for him.
For she is also perhaps a monster in her own rights.

--☆☆☆--

The bags under his eyes, and the haunted looks in his face tell everyone that he is far from recovered but everytime someone comes to ask him how he is faring, he will do nothing but face them with a smile before answering.
"I'm very much fine! Lumine takes good care of me."
If there were curious glances sent his way, he does not care. They must be seething inside—jealous that it was him who conquered her heart by the end of it all.
The savior and the reformed harbinger.
What a perfect love story—great as a tale to pass down from generations to generations. He sighs at the thought.
"Childe, pardon my query but I must ask—how have you truly been?"
He already lost count of how many times the same question had been asked of him.
He stops walking—to face the former Geo Archon a few steps behind.
"I do not understand why everyone keeps on asking the same question. I already told you i'm fine, didn't I?"
Oh how he hates it when they ask—as if they were doubting his princess' ability to care for him, for it was her who has been on his bed, in his kitchen, in his very house ever since the world achieved true peace.
They do not understand just how capable Lumine is.
And they will never know, if he has anything to say.
"Though we are but friends, I must express my deep concern. The dips on your cheeks beg to differ from that which you uttered."
The blue in his eyes shift into something malicious, to that belonging to the beast he keeps inside.
"With all due respect, Mr. Zhongli. I do not appreciate the implications of what you just said. You asked and I answered." He pauses.
The abyss is no more for Lumine is with him.
"I shall be going now. My wife is waiting for me at home."
As he walks away, he ignores the burning gaze on his back. It's fine. That former god does not matter.
What matters is him and Lumine while the rest of the world could go crash and burn, he thinks.

--☆☆☆--

"Tough day at work?"
Childe sidles up to her side, wrapping an arm around the apron-covered waist of his beloved. He kisses her temple with reverence—for it is what she deserves.
"Not really. It was just Mr. Zhongli. And others. Being annoyingly repetitive as always." He grumbles, tucking her head under his chin.
The small hand resting atop his chest tightens against his clothes.
"Do they... not approve of me?" She asks almost inaudibly.
He was quick to deny the preposterous thought.
"Don't listen to them. They do not matter, girlie."
Childe feels her shift and he looks down at her.
Golden pools decorated by the glittering of stars—of tears, he realizes, meet his abyssal depths.
"Are you... are you going to leave me?"
He brushes the hair out of her forehead and tucks the strays behind her ears before promptly brushing away the tears that cascaded from her eyes.
"Never. You are mine, Lumine. As much as I am yours."
Even the sweetest wine cannot compare to the smile that adorns her face after his declaration. She buries her head on his chest once more, arms crossing behind him, bestowing him with nothing else but warmth.
Childe thinks for a second, that this moment is perhaps the best there is in the world. And he knows he is ruined for anything else.
It is impossible to feel anything akin to this feeling and he strongly believes that the desire to even experience it from others aside his princess does not exist anymore.

--☆☆☆--

The sound of deliberate knocking at the door rouses the harbinger from his sleep. Childe growls in annoyance at whoever is behind that piece of wood as he untangles his limbs from the goddess laying beside him.
He kisses the top of her head before deciding to rise and check who their visitor is.
He stills when the one in front of his humble abode makes himself known.
Zhongli, of course.
"Mr. Zhongli, why the early visit?"
The man only hums before crossing his arms, pinning him with a serious gaze.
"May I come in, Childe?"
"Ah, of course."
He lets him in and ushers the former archon to the couch. Upon sitting, the latter immediately scans his surroundings with vague concern in his eyes.
"I must say, your house is surprisingly empty and devoid of life, Childe."
"What do you mean? I think it's pretty homey. Lumine designed it by herself when she first got here."
A frown makes its way to the other man's lips.
"Childe, can we talk?"
He stiffens, tone changing into a defensive one.
"We are talking, are we not?" He spats.
"Why don't you ask Lumine to come down here with us?"
He summons one of his water blades.
"Why exactly are you here, Zhongli?"
"Call Lumine, Childe."
In a flash, the water blade comes in contact with the polearm that materialized in front of the visitor.
"Why. Are. You. Here?" He asks, hostile in every way as he accents each word with a swing of his blade—all thankfully parried.
"I need you to understand, Childe." Zhongli calls forth a jade shield that rattled even the sturdy walls of the other man's home.
A water spear slams against the shield.
"That Lumine..."
Yet another side step, perfectly timed to avoid the beast cloaked in water suddenly crackling with electricity.
"Stop it!" It yells.
But Zhongli is not known for being gentle. The wrath of the rock and the harsh truth—both must be laid out for him to save the monster disguised as a man.
"Is no longer with us."
A beat passes.
"She's gone, Childe. And you must accept that fact."
"No!"
And like that, the man surges forward with the fury enough to fuel wars.
The walls crumble and the terrified shrieks of townsfolk in the immediate vicinity sound off but Childe could no longer care.
Him and Lumine. The rest of the world does not matter.
His mind goes blank with nothing but white hot anger, and he brandishes his weapon with renewed vigor.
"Take it back." He quietly demands, voice distorted.
Instead of complying, multiple stone steles rise up from the pavement, obscuring the two men from prying eyes.
"Everyone grieves for her departure, I assure you. We are hurt as much as you are." A water blade makes contact with the archon's cheek and he winces as response, "but she chose to sacrifice herself for this world's peace and she will not be happy if she sees you rotting away to your demise, Childe."
"You—you don't know anything! Do not lie! Lumine..." A crack in his composition and Zhongli is quick to take advantage of it.
All at once, like a puppet with strings cut off, Childe falls forward when Zhongli's polearm strikes down his chest. The accumulated hunger and fatigue from weeks of barely holding on to her memory suddenly come crashing down upon his person.
Empty plates and sweet nothings.
Cold bed and pristine kitchen.
Unused scarf with the color of the skies and the clouds—like the view he's witnessing right now.
Stare into the abyss, and it stares back at you—its remnants staying within, slowly consuming that which it latches on to.
The abyss is no more—or so he believes.
"Lumine... she promised me." he whispers into the wind.
The rustling of cloth distracts him from his thoughts.
"Do not lean too close to that edge, Childe. I beg you, not as your friend, but as Lumine's—please, do stay with us."
Before his eyes closed, he heard the call from the deep dark abyss of the waters.
The sea is calm. And he couldn't care less about the rest of the world.
Him and Lumine, he thinks. Him and Lumine.

Understanding The Basics Of Fertilization To Grow Woods Blue Goddess Water Lily
People with green thumbs or having little experience in gardening prefer water lilies because of their beautiful colors and gorgeous looks. Most people know water lily because of its attractiveness, but it also has some benefits. Water lilies are beneficial for the pond in which it grows. Its leaves with extended stems can keep the water’s surface area cool in summer by covering it. Moreover, the coverage also saves the pond-dwelling fish from getting preyed upon by the birds that eat fish.
Water lilies are hardy, but they will not grow by themselves. You need to appropriately provide it with food during its growth phase. Read this article to learn the basic points of fertilizing flora like a woods blue goddess water lily.
Which fertilizers should you use?
An important part of learning how to plant a water lily is to give it proper care and help it grow. In the market, you will mainly find two types of fertilizers available – either in tablet form or in a time-released granular form. It is crucial to learn or know exactly how to fertilize a woods blue goddess water lily (or other lilies) – as putting them in direct contact with the roots can burn it and kill the plant.
Some information about the proper use of fertilizers in learning how to plant a water lily is given below:
·The main aim of fertilizing water lilies is to encourage root growth all through the plant pocket or the pot. If you use the fertilizers in tablet form, push them away from the lilies’ roots and against the pots’ sides. At the pot’s or plant pocket’s bottom, only granular fertilizer is used to optimize dispersion. It would be best to use fertilizers directed at aquatic plants. You should follow the instructions on the packet label to achieve the needed results.
·Mixing time-released granular fertilizer will work best when you mix it into the plant pocket bottom or the soil while planting. It will be difficult and messy if you attempt it at other times.
If you face any issue while planting a woods blue goddess water lily or others, the experts at the SAIWC will help you with suggestions and materials.
Selecting the systems and application
Any plant will need nutrients to live and bloom beautifully – and like others of its species, a woods blue goddess water lily needs frequent nutrition in extensive amounts. People caring for these plants must know their fertilization patterns and methods as a part of learning how to plant a water lily. These plants need timely fertilization cycles when grown in small spaces or when their roots have bonded with the soil. It causes recurrent blooming, strong leaf growth, and large-sized flowers.
Signing off
Many people need an explanation about how to fertilize a woods blue goddess water lily. Professionals endorse using blends of the two for the best results. However, asking an expert from SAIWC for an accurate idea would be best.

Magickal Correspondences: November
Tumblr media
Word Origin: the term “November” is derived from the Latin word “novem”, meaning “nine”. Like in the case of October, November was the ninth month in the old Roman calendar instituted by Romulus. This was considered to be the first month of the new year in the Celtic tradition. Historical names for November include the Anglo-Saxon name “Blotmonath” (“the month of sacrifice”), the Frankish name “Herbistmanoth” (“harvest month”), the Asatru name “Fogmoon”, and the Irish name “Samhain” or “t-Samhainn” (“summer’s end”). Mythology: Hathor is an Egyptian Goddess corresponded with the month of November. Hathor was the name of the third month of the Ancient Egyptian Coptic Calendar, and occurred from November 10th to December 9th of the Gregorian Calendar. Festivals in Hathor’s honor were thought to have taken place throughout the month. The name of this month comes from the Egyptian Goddess Hathor, one of the most important Egyptian Goddesses. Hathor was a Goddess who played a variety of roles in Ancient Egyptian Mythology. She was a sky deity and he mother of Horus and the consort of the Sun God Ra. Both Horus and Ra are connected to royalty, so Hathor was associated with the Pharaohs. She was also one of the Goddesses that acted as the Eye of Ra. In this role, she protected Ra from his enemies in a vengeful manner. Her other side was associated with music, dance, love, sexuality, joy, and maternal care. She was also the consort of many male deities and mothered their sons. Both of these aspects of Hathor portrayed the Egyptian ideas about femininity. Hathor was also known to cross the between worlds, helping dead souls find their way and help them transition into the afterlife. Traditions and Folklore: November doesn’t have a pagan Sabbat associated with it, but there are quite a few other holiday traditions that occur during the month of November. November first is the Christian tradition’s All Saints’ Day. This is a day to celebrate the Saints who don’t have a special day in their honor. This day was originally created in an effort to get rid of the pagan holiday Samhain, and replace it with a Christian holiday. This failed when pagans continued to practice during Samhain, one of their most holy days. All Saint’s Day was then moved to November first. November 6th is the American’s Election Day, which is very influential in the lives of everyone who lives here. November 11th is the American Veterans Day, and Thanksgiving is on the last Thursday of November. Folklore sayings for November include “If there’s ice in November that will bear a duck, There’ll be nothing after but sludge and muck”, “November take flail; let ships no more sail”, “If trees show buds in November, the winter will last until May”, “There is no better month in the year to cut wood than November”, “Ice in November brings mud in December”, and “A heavy November snow will last until April”.
