Danger (M)
Pairing: Hoseok (Wonho) x reader
Word Count: 4k
Warnings: There aren’t any, at least not in this chapter.
Genre: A bit of Smuts | bits of angst | Fluff
requests - open
“Sometimes you can’t explain what you see in a person. It’s just the way take you to a place where no one else can.”
It’s crazy how much one person can affect you. The moment he moved next door, you always had a feeling that he was going to impact you in ways you wouldn’t seem to understand. He was new to the neighborhood and the only thing you seem to know is only his name... You might not know a single thing about the boy... But that’s what pulls you closer to the boy...
Part of his mystery is how he is calm in the storm and anxious in the quiet.
Part 1~
Masterlist
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Come on, I swear you’re always finding any excuse you can just to stay indoors. I mean don’t you think it’s time to come out of your little shell and live a little?” Your best friend Mi Sun continued saying as she grabbed a hold of your hand trying to pull you off the front step of your house and you sighed.
“It’s not that I don’t want to go out... It’s just...” At this point, you were out of excuses. You were pretty sure you used every excuse there is in the damn book.
“Nope, see you can’t say anything now.” Just as Mi Sun grabbed a hold of your hand and tried to pull you up, you two suddenly stopped when you suddenly noticed a moving truck approaching the two of you... For a second you thought it was about to park right in front of your house but it parked right next door.
“I didn’t know you were getting new neighbors,” Mi Sun says, staring at the trunk right next door and you looked at her and shrugged.
“I had no idea either...” You have been living in your neighborhood for who knows how long, however, you never seemed to ever properly meet your neighbors or ever properly introduce yourself. That kind of thing only happens in movies.
“Anyways! Please just for today? I swear it will be fun... I wouldn’t invite you if I was going to make you suffer.” She had a point but you weren’t convinced. You just stared at your best friend.
She managed to make you stand up. You began to follow behind her but suddenly you changed your mind again.
“Look, no matter how many times you tell me to go out... I just won’t ever be convinced.” You said patting your best friend on the shoulder and she sighed.
You tried to walk off until you noticed your best friend picking up the newspaper that was left in front of your house and she tried to throw it at you however it went past you instead and hit a stranger.
“MI SUN!” You shouted and the stranger immediately turned over after the newspaper hit the back of his head and looked in your direction.
SHIT! What just happened? What did you miss? You quickly ducked as if you were able to hide from the stranger your best friend just hit, however, there wasn’t a bush, not even a fence covering you.
“What the hell do we do now?” You asked your best friend and she awkwardly laughed.
“We could apologize... or we can... RUN!” She shouts and runs off. At that point, you were left abandoned and alone. Is this girl serious? She was the one who threw the newspaper in the first place!
You looked over at your door and you were planning to hide in there however it was far too late for that...
“I’m assuming this is yours,” you lifted your head, and at that moment when you made eye contact with the stranger, you quickly lifted yourself off the ground and awkwardly looked at the stranger.
“Uh... Yeah... About that...” How the hell were you the one apologizing for something you didn’t even do in the first place? What is this?
“That newspaper wasn’t for you... It was actually for me... I know that sounds crazy but my best friend was here and she meant to throw it at me but you were in the way and..” At that moment you realized you were blabbing on and on while doing this... You basically told the cute stranger he was in the way... SMOOTH.
“NO! not that you were in the way! I meant to say you were standing in the wrong place at the wrong time,” you said trying to clear the air and although you felt like you fucked up at the very moment, the stranger just simply smiles.
“Well, now as your neighbor I should be more cautious with where I stand,” you left such a great impression on a neighbor who was just moving next door.
“I’m sorry,” you blurted out and he smiled. He was about to say something until...
“Hyung!” He turned his head and then back at you.
“Until next time,” he says looking at you, and walks off. Wait, that was it? Were you not going to learn his name or something? Are you supposed to call him neighbor this whole time?
You turned right around and looked right at your house and walked as fast as you could as you looked down. That’s right you were doing the walk of shame... Your best friend was going to pay for this.
~
Why was he suddenly moving into your neighborhood? Did he not like where he was living or was he possibly running away from something? You quickly shook your head and snapped out of your thoughts.
After that mini incident that happened in the morning, for some strange reason you were suddenly curious to know what his name is. You didn’t understand why... It’s not like you were going to see him again but still...
You snapped out of your thoughts until you suddenly felt your phone vibrating right next to you. You got hold of your phone and noticed your best friend was calling you.
What does she possibly want? You picked up your phone and brought your phone to your ear. You didn’t even want to talk to her, especially after today’s incident. However, you were still going to pick up the call just because she has dealt with you for a long time.
“What?” You answered the call and you could hear her sigh from the other side of the phone.
“I'M SORRY!” She better be sorry... She made you embarrass yourself to your soon-to-be neighbor... And not only is he your neighbor but did you mention that part that he was CUTE... Ugh, must the universe be against you?
“You know because of you, I had to apologize for something I didn’t even do.” You began to complain especially because you don’t say sorry for just anyone but you knew your best friend wasn’t surprised. She should have seen this coming from the beginning.
“Again I’m sorry... What can I do to make this up?” Well, you couldn’t make her apologize however you were sure to come up with something eventually for her to do.
“I don’t know, but for now... Are you trying to possibly get me bubble tea?” You asked your best friend who currently worked at a bubble tea shop and you could hear her giggle.
“You got it,” after that being said the both of you exchanged byes and you were now laying in bed bored out of your mind.
You got up from the bed trying your hardest not to take a mini nap and walked over to your window. By the time you arrived at the window, you noticed that the new neighbor you happened to meet, not by choice, was still removing things off of his truck.
You could be a kind neighbor and go ask if he possibly needs some help but to be honest you weren’t that kind of person to just walk up to strangers... Second of all, who even does that... You weren’t in some movie where you suddenly become nice to a stranger. Plus your mother always told you not to talk to strangers. And last but not least, although he didn’t show that he didn’t like you... He probably hates your gut just because he thinks you threw something at his damn head...
Just from the thought of what happened earlier you couldn’t help but shake your head and feel embarrassed for something you didn’t do...
You were so lost in your thoughts, you didn’t even notice that you were so caught up with staring at your new neighbor until you have no idea how but something made you snap back into reality.
You shook your head and as you continued to stare out the window you noticed the guy... The new neighbor was staring right at you. Shit.
Your eyes widened and since you were in the middle of panicking without thinking twice you grabbed a hold of the currents and closed them right in front of you and you quickly backed away from the window and walked over to your bed.
One job... You had one job but you completely ruined that...
He now probably thinks you have this crush on him or maybe worse... He must think that you’re like a low-key stalker... Whatever the case is... He probably looked at you weirdly and that was because of everything that happened today...
He probably thinks he lives next to a complete freak but can you blame the guy?
~
After low-key having a meltdown from embarrassing yourself so damn much in front of a cute neighbor of yours yesterday, you tried to move past that and decided to escape your cocoon for the day and go out.
The moment you stepped out of your house, you would be lying if you were to say you were trying your hardest to stay calm and hope that you didn’t happen to bump into your new neighbor.
You already embarrassed yourself yesterday and today is a whole new day.
As you began to walk everything was fine till suddenly you heard laughing coming from the right. You didn’t want to look just because of the fear you had it was the neighbor.
So instead of looking in that direction, you opened up your purse and tried to look for your pair of headphones. At last, when you got a hold of them, you quickly plugged them into your phone and made sure you had them on. You didn’t feel like talking to just anyone.
Although you thought you could get away with it, you suddenly feel eyes glued to you. You glanced over to your left and could feel not only the cute neighbor's eyes glued to you but someone who appeared to be his friend.
You looked straight ahead and tried your hardest to remain calm and make it out there alive but that all seemed to change when you suddenly see a person running right in front of you.
There you instantly froze and just as you were expecting to see someone familiar however you saw a new face that was unfamiliar to you. You had no idea why this stranger was right there in front of you, however you slowly removed one headphone and continued to look at the stranger a bit confused.
The stranger smiled and you didn’t react, you continued to stand there.
“Hey sorry,” you had no idea why he was even apologizing until you took a look at his hands and there you see a ball in his hand. So he probably grabbed the ball that was probably going to hit you. Duh, now this makes complete sense why a stranger would suddenly appear right in front of you.
“Um... It’s okay, I should have been more careful if anything,” you said trying not to make the stranger feel less bad about themselves.
“No no... My friend over there just sucks at throwing,” he says pointing at your neighbor as he stares at the two of you talking.
“Right...” That was all you managed to say and you didn’t know if now was the time you were about to awkwardly walk away but that stopped when suddenly the stranger continued to stand in front of you sparking a conversation.
“My name is Kihyun, and your name?” He asks as he stretches out his hand leaning in for a handshake.
“Uh, Y/N,” you said slowly getting a hold of his hand and at that moment the both of you made physical contact and shook hands.
You continued to look at Kihyun and he looked like he wanted to tell you something however it wasn’t long until his name got called.
“Kihyun!” Your neighbor calls out and he looks over at him and then back at you.
“Ah, guess that’s my cue... But I hope to see you around,” he says smiling brightly and he ran off.
What does he mean to see you again? He doesn’t know a thing about you but your name... But okay. At that point, you put both headphones back into your ears and you were off to your walk.
~
Hoseok’s Point of View
I have no idea what Kihyun's intentions were the moment I noticed he was talking to my neighbor but I knew I had to put a stop somehow. Every time Kihyun and I go out, I’m pretty sure I catch him flirting with different girls all the time.
“Really? Must you interrupt my moment like that?” Kihyun starts saying complaining to me but all I could do was roll my eyes.
“I move to the neighborhood and you’re already trying to make a move? I swear I can’t invite you anywhere,” I said shaking my head as I walked off but Hoseok, of course, followed behind me.
“She was pretty cute,” ah, of course, he would say that.
“You say that about every girl you see,” the both of us walked into my living room and instead of sitting on couches, we sat on the ground.
Can you tell I haven’t made myself at home yet? I was supposed to buy furniture around the house today but a change of plans.
“What lovely home you have here,” Kihyun says sitting right next to me on the ground and I shot him a glare.
“Shush, I know right now it feels empty but when I fix it up... It will look better just give me some time,” I said to Kihyun and he just shrugs and pulls out his phone.
“Anyways, what were you talking to my neighbor about?” I couldn’t help but ask Kihyun even though I already know his intentions were anywhere close to being good.
“Oh, you mean Y/N? Nothing really, you interrupted me before I had the chance to even make my move,” he says glaring at me and I looked at him.
Now that I think about it... Kihyun got to know her name before I did, isn’t that a bit sad? Who am I kidding? Of course, it’s sad.
Hm Y/N?
“Hoseok, are you listening?” I looked over at him and smiled.
“Um... No?” Kihyun shook his head in disappointment but decided to repeat himself anyways.
“Are you planning to invite her to your party?” Kihyun asks and I just shot him a glare.
The last time I had a conversation with her was when she hit me on the back of the head but we didn’t say much, honestly, I didn’t even get to know her name... She doesn’t even know my name...
“How am I supposed to invite the girl when we only spoke once?” I asked Kihyun confused but he shook his head and sighed.
“I swear I need to help you learn how to properly approach girls,” I was going to say something, however, I knew no matter how many times I tell him that I don’t need to follow his tips I can talk to any girl he was still going to lecture me.
“Whatever,”
From that point on I rose from the floor and thought maybe I should drag Kihyun along with me to go look for furniture for this house... It feels practically empty.
“Let’s go,” instead of Kihyun asking me questions he got up from the floor and followed behind me.
~
Your Point of View
This has never happened before... How on earth did you end up socializing with your neighbor... All the neighbors you have had in the past didn’t know who you were. Also, you never knew a single thing about them besides the fact that they live right next to you. No matter how many chances you or your neighbors had to “introduce each other” it just never happened and you were okay with that...
But now that you have this new neighbor it seems like you were going to see him around a lot more than you intend to and you already embarrassed yourself from the start because of your best friend.
“Lord please help me make it alive,” you spoke to yourself as you walked into a coffee shop.
You were hoping after today that you wouldn’t see your neighbor as often as you did yesterday and today.
Hmm now that you think about it, maybe the only reason you kept seeing him was that he’s just adjusting himself to your neighborhood, however, you were sure that after earlier you probably weren’t going to see him at all...
After that being said you felt relieved.
You smiled as you walked over to the register and looked up at the menu, now what shall you get for today?
~
Hoseok’s Point of View
All I wanted to do was drag Kihyun with me to go buy furniture, however instead he decided to drag me to go buy him some coffee. I always tend to wonder how on earth we even became friends... I shrugged and looked at Kihyun.
“I still don’t understand how thinking of furniture made you want coffee?” I asked looking over at Kihyun and he shrugged.
“Maybe the walk from your house to here made me thirsty,” he says trying to make me feel better, however, all I did was roll my eyes and open the door to the coffee shop.
“Do you want something?” Kihyun asks, looking right at the menu and I look at him. Wow, he was actually willing to buy me something? I should take advantage now before it’s too late.
“Yes, actually I wouldn’t mind an Americano,” Kihyun looked at me and smiled.
“Nothing? Okay, you got it,” wow did he completely ignore what I just said?
I shrugged and as I began to look around the coffee shop I looked to my right and right then and there I saw a familiar face sitting on a table on her own staring out at the window.
Right there I see my neighbor...
I have no idea if I’m going crazy and I’m imagining that she is sitting right there or she is actually in the shop... I looked away and tried to avoid making eye contact however that didn’t last long when Kihyun suddenly noticed her presence and decided to call her out her name.
“Y/N!” Oh, this boy... I don’t understand why he’s like this.
She didn’t bother looking. Is she ignoring him? Because if she is... Smart girl.
“Y/N,” Kihyun called out again and I continued to stare at her as she looked out the window. I mean if I were the girl I would probably ignore him too, but as I continued to look in her direction I noticed that she had headphones on. Ah...
I glanced over at Kihyun and noticed him suddenly giving up trying to capture her attention and walked over to the register to order our drinks.
To be honest, I’m a little surprised to see Kihyun act so calmly about all of this, however, I would rather not question him.
~
Your Point of View
You had no idea what you were supposed to do on your day off. You don’t socialize with others and you rather stay indoors and watch movies than go out and party.
As you enjoyed drinking your ice coffee you pulled out your phone and had no texts or calls. Hmm well seems like your plans involved blankets, food, and time to be with yourself. The moment you put your phone down, you looked up and jumped as you saw an unexpected figure standing there.
You slowly removed your headphones and stared at the same guy you bumped into earlier... Kihyun.
“Wow, I never expected it to take this long to get your attention,” Kihyun says, grabbing a chair right in front of you and sitting down and you just stare at him.
Wait, did you tell him to sit? Wait, does he think you guys are friends? You were beyond confused however you have no idea what to say or what to do.
“Um... Sorry I was kind of listening to music,” you said, lifting your earbuds.
Kihyun grabbed a hold of your headphone that you removed and placed it in his ear.
“What are you listening to?”
Before you could say anything you stopped when another figure approached the table. You looked over and saw your neighbor... The one you don’t happen to know what his damn name is...
“Oh no,” you thought you said in your head, however you said it a bit louder than you expected. Kihyun and the guy looked right at you.
“You see what you’ve done Hoseok,” Kihyun blurts out and at last you finally figured out the name of your damn neighbor, however, the moment you did you realized you just opened your mouth and now he probably assumes you hate him which that wasn’t the case.
“What did I do?” Hoseok asks, staring directly at you confused yet offended at the way you reacted when you saw him and you shook your head.
“Oh uh...” You had no idea what to say so the only thing you did was stall right in front of his face.
“Hoseok, she doesn’t like you,” Kihyun says, not making the conversation any better and your eyes widen.
“W-what I didn’t say that,” you quickly corrected him and Kihyun just smiled.
“What did I do?” Hoseok asks, ignoring the fact that you just said you did not say you didn’t like him...
You didn’t know anything about Hoseok so you couldn’t say that you hated the boy, however, you didn’t understand him and you thought he hated you just because he probably thinks you tried to hit him on purpose however you didn’t have a reason to even hit the guy.
“What?” You blurted out and Kihyun laughed.
To be honest, you had no idea where this conversation was even going, however, you didn’t care, right now all you wanted to do was get up and exit yourself from the scene.
“Mind if we join you,” Kihyun asks even though he was already sitting right in front of you. However, instead of answering, you got up from your seat and grabbed a hold of your drink.
“Actually I um... I should probably get going, I promised my best friend that I was going to meet her up,” that was a complete lie however you were going to do anything you could to leave the scene.
“Do you have friends?” Hoseok suddenly blurts out and questions you out of the blue and it wasn’t long until you looked over at him and felt offended.
You understand why he suddenly decided it was best if he made a comment, however you weren’t trying to be rude to him if Kihyun was sabotaging the situation... You were planning to say something to Hoseok but you realized there was no point.
You turned around and walked off. Whatever... Hoseok can have the last word for now...
~
Hoseok’s Point of View
I have no idea why Y/N would possibly hate me. I mean I just moved right next door and this girl already hates my guts... She first throws something in my direction and now she’s here trying to avoid me...
“Hoseok what did you do to the poor girl?” Kihyun asks, looking over at me and all I do is roll my eyes.
“Oh shush, I didn’t do anything....” Kihyun just rolled his eyes and began to walk off not believing a word I was telling him.
I have no idea what was happening but I mean although the girl probably hates me... For some reason it kind of made me want to be around her a bit more... Maybe just maybe I can show her I’m not going to be a bad neighbor...
But I have no idea how anything is going to turn out.
Who knows...
Stuck {Monsta X Oneshot}
Wonho must make an important decision for his happiness.
~ This is a completed one shot of Monsta X's very own, Shin Hoseok. It's really long so apologies for that, I just didn't feel 1k words could Express the story.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/bb49ffe5674bf912885a0a646a415869/5284643c972f294b-0b/s540x810/742d90d32b9e9f2b8b28929e638e7f018b1d0f7f.jpg)
Wonho looked upon the mirror as he was getting dressed. Another night of rendezvous with Kerienne would prove to be a mistake, sooner or later. They were friends with benefits, only to pass time with each other. Nothing more, nothing less. Kerienne was the fire to his ice. They argued more than anything, but the passion they had for each other was undeniable.
She stood about 5'5, and liked to wear her hair differently. She almost forgot what her original hair color was. One month it would be as green as money, others it could be as pink as a cherry blossom. It differed, like her personality. Sarcasm ran through her veins as much as anyone else. She had a hard time keeping things as a filter.
Wonho liked all those things about her. He didn't like the jealousy though, since they were not official or exclusive. Over the years, she expressed the desire to want something more. That made him pull further and further away. He wasn't ready for that kind of commitment just yet, and to be frankly, he didn't know if he saw her in that light. She was a great friend though, and got along well with all of his friends. That was a plus. All in all, they were charming together, but he was blind and reluctant for anything other than friends.
His phone buzzed to the daily reminder of her. He had a date later and wanted to avoid getting caught up with her. If Keri found out, it would cause a bigger war than anyone could ever imagine. He really did enjoy spending time with her, but that was all. Wonho figured he needed a change for once. Plus, this other girl was highly formidable. She was sought after by many guys, but still wanted to go out with Wonho. This fed into his ego a bit, but in a good way.
Jooheon spoke with Kerienne daily as well. They were friends, and he secretly wanted her and Wonho to come to grips with their feelings. He felt it would be beneficial to the both of them.
"You going out with Kerienne tonight?"
"No Jooheon, Ha-Eun. She finally agreed to, after weeks of talking to her." Wonho reached into the fridge leaving Jooheon with a look of confusion. "Please don't tell Keri. She'll blow this out of proportion. I'm thinking about ending things with her."
This news was going to tear Kerienne up. Wonho was her best guy friend, aside from Jooheon, and she had deep feelings for him. If he completely ended things with her, it would crush her soul. Jooheon played every scenario as he sat back into the couch. This was something he didn't want any part of. Mentally, he was preparing to be damage control.
Wonho left for Ha-Eun's house, avoiding all of Kerienne's calls. He didn't want to mess up his chance with the other. Wonho had plans to take Ha-Eun to dinner first, then to the club to go dancing.
"Hey, are you ready to go?" He handed her flowers as they walked to his car.
Tonight would go perfectly. Nothing was going to ruin it. At dinner, they talked of many things. Their likes, dreams, ambitions, all and everything to break the ice. She seemed like a great person and he was ecstatic to be on a date with her. Anytime she spoke, he got tunnel-vision. She was all he focused on. Ha-Eun felt special. She knew of Kerienne and wanted her out of his life, before she would agree to be his solely. Kerienne was a threat. Even if they were just friends, she didn't feel comfortable with him being so friendly to someone he sleeps with.
They arrived at the dance club after sometime, and made their way inside. Wonho wasn't aware of Kerienne's cousin being a bartender, or the fact that Kerienne was there for a friend's birthday. The entire reasoning for her to call him and message him. She wanted to extend the offer of him being there as well. Somehow, he completely missed seeing her. She, on the other hand, noticed him instantly.
Kerienne felt horrible all of a sudden. That was the reason he avoided her all day. It hurt her to see him with someone else. She tried one last time to see if he would answer his phone. Pulling the phone up to her ear, she saw him send her straight to voicemail. Her feelings were hurt. She wouldn't show that, but they were. Deciding to approach him, she walked towards the half-wall they were sitting by. It concealed her presence. She was about to speak up, when Ha-Eun mentioned her name.
"Wonho, you know I like you and I hope you like me, but I have an issue that needs to be handled before I agree to see you."
"Sure, what is it?"
"I don't feel comfortable with you hanging out with Kerienne. I know about you two, and just feel it would be in our best interest if you no longer spoke to her."
Kerienne pulled her hand to her heart. Surely he wouldn't agree to this atrocity.
"You know there's nothing there. We are just friends. She is my bestfriend."
"But I want to be your girlfriend. I simply cannot agree to be with you, if you don't promise to not speak to her ever again. I don't need anything harming our reputation as a couple."
He sat back a moment trying to weigh the options. If he agreed to this, Kerienne would become a void in his life. She would probably stop coming around Jooheon as well. If he didn't agree to it, then Ha-Eun wouldn't be his girlfriend. He wanted to impress her, so he was leaning towards her stipulation.
"I guess I can do that."
Kerienne lost all ambition to talk to him. She left the wall not wanting to hear another word. She made a beline towards the bar as she sat down. He saw her as disposable. Wonho threw her away so quickly. Her cousin noticed everything as he had a drink waiting on her.
"You don't need that creep, and you're prettier than she is."
At this moment in time, he should've just stabbed her in the heart. That was the closest representation of how she felt. If Wonho wanted to stop all contact with her, she would leave quietly. If he didn't want to fight for them, she wasn't going to fight with him.
"That's not the point. He just easily threw me away like I'm a piece of trash. He didn't even hesitate."
She threw back her drink as she decided to go to his dorm to retrieve anything of hers, that he kept. She lost the desire to drink. Her mood was killed. When Jooheon answered the door, his eyes widened. Wonho wasn't there, and he didn't want Jooheon to disclose where he was.
"I'm here for my things, I'll make it quick to prevent any more awkward situations."
She pushed passed Jooheon, as the other's were curious on what made her so upset. She did look like she had been crying and quite literally, lost her best friend. Jooheon knew; it was because of Wonho.
"Heony, I probably will never be back here or around Wonho again. I love you and you're the only other person I got outside my family and few friends. Are you going to throw me away as well? I need to know."
"What are you talking about Ker, did Wonho say something to you." Jooheon and Shownu stood at Wonho's door watching her collect everything of hers.
"He didn't know I was at the club with my friend for her birthday. I had been calling all day to see if he wanted to join. He was with Ha-Eun. He didn't see me at all. She told him that in order for him to date her, he had to throw me away. Lose all and any contact with me, to preserve their precious relationship. She is intimidated that I know him so well. He agreed, so I guess I'm more disposable than I thought."
She laid everything of Wonho's on his bed, in a hope chest. The same one he gave her when they were a little younger. She didn't want any part of memories, that could make her think of him. The two guys felt bad being there. This was unlike Wonho to agree to such absurdity. She grabbed the last of her things as she started walking out. The quicker she left, the sooner she could move on. Obviously she wasn't important. Not even as a friend. She had been there many years for Wonho before he even became an idol. Either way, she was done. She'd still love to be around Jooheon, but not Wonho.
Kerienne never looked back after she left. She had to take a walk to clear her mind. The owner of a local shop allowed her to go up on the roof of his place, to use as a secret hideout. Not even Wonho knew about it. She even asked for him not to tell Wonho she was there. That is, if he had the decency to look for her. Aside from the hurt, she watched and noticed the stars were out. Many of them shined up in the sky.
Her phone began buzzing with texts and calls from Wonho. She put her phone down as she wiped the trailing tears away.
"I'm sorry Wonie. If you want me to disappear, then that's what I'm going to do. Just so you can be happy with who you want to love."
The owner brought up a bowl of soup and hot tea. She hadn't been to the roof in a while so he could tell she was weighing something heavily in her heart.
"What happened kiddo to remove the sparkle from your eye?"
"Have you ever loved someone and watched them succeed, only being happy for them with all your soul? Then one day someone, who would try and change them, pops up and wants you to silently disappear from his life. As if you never existed."
"Wonho I take it? Is he dating anyone?"
"Just started tonight. She wanted him to lose all contact with me. He said yes. Which at first I was really hurt. Felt betrayed even. But she makes him happy so I have no right to fight that. I have no right to stand in his way of love or happiness."
"How do you know that? It could be just infatuation. We both know Wonho won't put up with someone trying to control his life, or even change him. Atleast not for too long."
"I saw the way he looked at her, I've never gotten that from him. Ever. So I went and gathered all of my things at his dorm. I didn't want to deal with him or her."
"I think this will all come out in the wash in the end. Just keep your head up. And don't lose your appetite over this. He's going to come around. Give it time."
The owner left her on the roof as he needed to clean up. Keri laid back trying to find comfort in her heart. She never thought this day would come. Sure they fought sometimes, but they couldn't stay mad at each other for too long. They never accomplished that. What she and he both didn't realize, was that it was love they had for one another. It wasn't seen from each other, but everyone around saw it loud and clear. They both pushed each other to be better and offered nothing but pure support. If they did have any differences, they worked through them. Her flaws and ticks were annoying sometimes, but he never once made her feel bad about them. He accepted her for who she was. And likewise. Wonho got on her nerves a lot, but she never tried to change him. Not like Ha-Eun was attempting to do.
She figured she would stay there most of the night to avoid anything from happening. Looking down at her phone, she pulled up her Aunt's number. She hesitated on pressing call, but she remembered what Wonho agreed too. There was no reason for her to stay in the city. Especially not now.
"Aunt, is it okay with you if I come home and help you out? It'll be just for a few months. I'm not feeling like being here anymore."
"Keri. You don't normally make impulsive decisions, what is wrong?"
"I just don't want to be here anymore."
Her aunt agreed to start having everything waiting on her. Her aunt was the only person she ever trusted with her heart. She loved her more than life itself. It was going to feel good to go home and be with her. She'd be able to heal from this quicker helping her aunt at her store.
Keri collected the things and brought them down to the store. She was going home to pack. Once she left, she didn't know if she would ever be back. She would never forget the hospitality of the shop owner. In her suitcases she packed about a month's worth of clothes. If she hurried and left, her trail couldn't be followed.
She ordered a taxi to take her a few town's over. It cost her a great deal, but she didn't mind as long as she left the big city. Jooheon had already began texting her trying to find out information. She wasn't sure if it was for him or Wonho, but she wasn't going to tell him at the moment. It was too fresh. She also felt a sense of cowardice by leaving, but if that was what he wanted, then she was going to quietly slip away.
Her aunt stayed awake to greet her. At least she felt wanted around her. It wasn't going to be a constant battle in her mind.
"I called your cousin. He told me what happened. Take how ever long you need, but don't let this destroy you."
"I'm a coward aren't I? For running away."
"Everyone runs at some point. It all just determines on when our minds say it's time to stop running and face them. You two have been friends longer than I could remember. I honestly don't think he'll be so apt to throw that away. Just give it time baby. He'll come around."
"I'm not trying to run, and I don't think I am running. I just know that if I stay there, that bit-girl will make his life hell for even breathing around me."
"Then we cut a bitch," she held up a knife trying to make Keri laugh.
Keri did just what was wanted. It was good to smile even after the night she had.
Wonho raced everywhere he could think about, that Keri would go. After she left the dorm, he missed her by a few minutes. He had a terrible date, and told Ha-Eun he couldn't do that to Keri. That she had been there before the fame. Before anyone knew who he was. Keri left before he had given Ha-Eun a final answer. He wasn't willing to throw Keri away. That was when he realized he loved her. He rushed to the dorm to change and talk to Keri, tell her that he wouldn't be able to live a day without her in his life annoying him.
When he got to the dorm though, he saw everything he gave her on his bed. She even returned the hope chest he bought her when he made his first album sells. It was a token of appreciation for her always being by his side. Why did she return everything to him, was a question he wanted to know.
"She was upset and hurt," Jooheon and Shownu met Wonho in his room, "she overheard you telling Ha-Eun you would promise to never speak with Keri again. That you would throw her away like a piece of trash."
"As Ha-Eun kept talking, my mind took over and clouded everything she said. I can't just throw Keri away. She has been there for me, as my ride or die, since before the beginning. She was the only one. I told Ha-Eun I wasn't going to jeopardize anything with Keri. If that meant she wouldn't date me, then I didn't care."
Wonho got more upset as the conversation went on. It seemed as if Keri only caught part of the conversation. She blew it out of proportion. This time, she didn't know. It was an honest mistake.
"Where did she go?" He walked out into the living area trying to call Keri, and sending her messages trying to repair what was now broken.
"We can all go look for her."
Each minute that passed was another minute gone for hope to find Keri. They all knew if Wonho lost Keri forever, it would slowly overcome him. This couldn't happen. They jumped in their car as they went to every place she could hide out. Wonho saw the shop owner as they came to a screeching halt.
"Please, where is Keri? She misunderstood everything."
The shop owner froze. He didn't know what to do. Keri asked him to not tell Wonho of anything. But on the other hand, Wonho wanted to be with her.
"She was up here earlier. I heard her on the phone with someone, but I don't know who. I promised her not to tell you, but I can sense you're not here to hurt her anymore than she is."
"What is that crazy idiot doing. Does she not know that if you eavesdrop, to listen to the whole damn conversation?"
The shop owner broke out in a laugh. Keri drove Wonho nuts. They reminded him of when he was younger with his love. The only difference was he let her slip away. He didn't want to see that for Wonho as well.
"Check her family. That would be my guess. You will have to think like her. Put yourself in her shoes. You'll find the answer then."
Although the shop owner helped a lot, Wonho still felt lost. There could be many places she went to. The first place was her apartment. He had a spare key, for emergencies. He felt this was an extreme emergency if any. The three guys tried to find clues or any hidden messages. He saw her address book. It was a custom address book with her favorite photographs of them on front. She ordered it like that. He took the book in his hands as he just stared down at it. Hopefully, he could find her before it was too late.
Keri laid down on the couch as she grabbed her comforter. Her aunt went to bed, since they had a busy day at her store. It was almost morning, but a few hours of sleep would suffice. Good thing the store had managers to open, buying time for them to rest.
When Kerienne awoke, she smelled breakfast. Her aunt was a busy body, since the death of her uncle. She always found things to do to keep her mind together. Grabbing her phone, Keri unlocked it. Wonho still tried to message her. This was going to be hard. She cared for his happiness though.
They went down to the store as Kerienne admired all her aunt did with it.
"Ker, just stay with me. We'll get work done together."
Keri walked to the counter as she grabbed an apron. She introduced herself to the other employees as they stood around. None of them seemed friendly or remotely happy she was there. It didn't matter though, she didn't care to meet new people.
After the boys got rest, they were on the search for Keri. Wonho had a sleepless night, if this was any indication on how this would be without her in his life, he'd rather not live it. They all got dressed as they rushed out the door. Time was of the essence. Wonho went through every name in the book. One name he overlooked, and a clue he missed was right in front of him. Her aunt. They took pictures out at her house. It didn't dawn on him.
Wonho met up with her cousin looking for answers.
"I know you probably know about what happened, but please listen to me. I have to find Keri."
"So you can just throw her away? She is gone to save face. Keri puts everyone's needs infront of her own."
"I'm not throwing her away! I threw Ha-Eun away. I love Keri. Last night, finding out she left without a trace, was the worst night of my life. I don't want to lose her permanently. I know you love her and just trying to protect her, but I'm not going to stop looking for her. She has to know how I feel. She left without hearing the complete conversation. Without hearing my explanation."
Her cousin stood there. He was almost ready to kick Wonho out, but he felt the sincerity in his voice. It was right, he knew exactly where she was. Getting him to tell though was going to be a little tricky. He looked past him to the friends. They even looked concerned.
"How do I know it isn't a trick to cause more stress for Keri? She is all my mom and I have left. I'd rather die than to see her hurt. If I tell you where she is and you even think to destroy her, I will ruin you."
If this was any other circumstance, Wonho would be offended. Her cousin was doing what Wonho should have done in the beginning; protect Keri with his life.
"I wouldn't be here if I didn't love her."
"Why did you say those things?"
Again. The conversation with Ha-Eun came up.
"I will not lie, I agreed to it at first. I'm in the wrong there. As the conversation went on, Keri stayed on my mind. I weighed everything thoroughly after. I told Ha-Eun that Keri was the person who had been there forever. I just couldn't throw her away. I ended it with Ha-Eun."
"She left in a hurry. I don't know if I like you. But I will tell you."
Wonho felt a great sense of relief. For once, someone was offering the greatest hope he could have.
Keri shadowed her aunt as they began making orders. It came naturally to her. She remembered her first job here. It was an exciting opportunity and she excelled in everything. A song came from the dining hall. She got confused. It was different from what her aunt played in the restaurant.
"Really fate? Is this how you keep him in my mind."
She blew off the intro of the song as she plated the dishes, fighting back the tears. It was too much so she was going to change the song, after she delivered the food. Walking into the dining room, she didn't notice who was sitting at the bar. Keri was in deep thought she went back to the kitchen. Normally, radio stations played a full song, but this one skipped to Wonho's verse. She was done.
Briskly walking out of the kitchen, "Can you please turn that-"
Wonho was standing in front of her singing. She dropped her towel as she looked as if she had seen a ghost. He never broke his gaze with her. She dropped her head as she tried to turn around before she embarrassed herself from crying.
"Please Keri, I'm sorry. You walked away before you heard me telling Ha-Eun I can't throw you away. Just like in my song, I can't live a day without you. You've always been there for me. Pushing me. Supporting me. You never gave up on me. You were my person from the get-go. I'm so sorry I have been blind. I'm so sorry I never thought about your feelings. Please, don't leave."
She stayed in place. All she ever wanted was to be recognized by him. Her love to be recognized and observed. He was the one she loved and cared for. It killed her that he was with Ha-Eun that night instead of her.
"I'm," she turned around wiping the smudged makeup from her eyes, "I'm jealous. And anal. I won't be taken for granted ever again. I still have a mind to mess Ha-Eun up with my bare hands, but I'll refrain; for now."
Wonho quickly approached her as he grabbed her face, placing his lips on hers. He felt whole again. His heart was at ease more today than it ever had been. Everyone in the restaurant broke out in cheers for the new happy couple.
"Let's go home, please."
Keri looked towards her aunt, who nodded. This was the way it was supposed to be. She wanted Keri happy.
"Go, come back to visit though; the both of you."
Wonho grabbed her hand as they left. They finally stuck together.
Sike Pt. 2
Whilst all the crazy scenarios formed inside of her mind, Hel was quick to growl at the over confident male who looked down onto her. A smirk crossed his handsome face as she stared at him, concentrating.
"I know that I look good, but you don't have to stare like this." He spat and cocked his head to the side as he eyed the goofy girl from head to toe.
"I am rather hoping your head would explode, here and now.. Like in those movies." The younger woman argued and grinned at Hoseok's flustered but irritated visage.
The man clenched his jaw at her rude and cruel demeanour, but soon a fragile and soft arm locked into his, pulling him closer.
"Ignore her, she's always been like this. Manners aren't well known to her. Don't forget, she's still a foreigner. Who knows what they teach them there.." She snapped, her sweet voice sounding dirty and cheap to both Hel and Mokyo.
"Min-Soo, class worst student. Pretty but no brain. You've even been dumb when we used to be friends.." Hel exclaimed as she turned and saw Mokyo prepare a new cup for her, a smile tugged at her cold expression.
"I wonder how Hel could be friends with such a cheap and stupid woman.." Mokyo suddenly rasped, low voice and growl within the pitch of his gut.
Mokyo ,who was older by 3 years than Hel, hated women like Min-Soo, he really did. Those who'd always expect the ones around them to run after them, and be treated like the Queen herself.
Before any of the others could react to his small gesture of disgust, his voice arose once again, clearing his throat. "The bill has to be paid. And then leave.." Mokyo stated whilst Hoseok stared in disbelief, but still paid the bill for his date and himself.
"Get going." The older male exclaimed as he took the money, his long and bony fingers wrapping around the papers, putting it in place. Eyes grazing the couple as they left, his mimick pulled into a disgusted grimace.
"Forget them."
"I will."
Slowly, Mokyo moved to the counter again, his own whiskey ready, her capuccino done.
Since the coffee shop was already almost empty, Mokyo decided to take a break to join his beloved best friend.
His movements were quick, he sat onto one of the brown sofas, crossing his legs.
"Sit."
She did.
"Are you okay, baby?"
"No..I've already...I am having them again..Myoko.. I am back in the game.."
"You're writing again?? That's good. You will get rid of those thoughts."
"I guess so.", one sip.
"It will, baby. Don't worry..I'll help you with it."
"Thank you." Last sip.
The time passed as the two talked, it was like a bliss to both.
Time was never worth it for the two.
It seemed like a century, but they never cared, never paid attention.
Talks until midnight, cuddles at ones home.
"Oh god..It is late again." Hel laughed as she raised, helping him to stand up as her bestie raised himself with a sigh.
"Let's go to my place. Stay there. Okay?"
A nod. One smile, and then they left.
Mokyo had a better car than her, it was always a relief to sit back inside of his car, the smell of leather surging through her senses, nostrils widening, breathing in the smell of eau de colonge, a cold, smoky scent which Hel appreciated pretty much.
Settling in, Mokyo starts the engine of his black car, going off.
Minutes after they arrived at the cozy place, both laughing and growling at each other for being so silly.
One arm around her shoulder, the other on her cheek.
Both falling into each other's arms whilst giggling, becoming drunk as they shared a bottle.
There while...
For once Hoseok decided not take home his date, but instead do some researches on the girl he met.
So many names given to the rowdy but never said why. Some were explained, others stayed as a mystery.
And suddenly, he collapsed onto a site,
www.Hellstas.com, there was a user, she seemed to be the admin, the highest member, User: HellGirl,
what she wrote was way too much, how descriptive she was, her texts were obviously well written, words flew out of her as if it was her nature.
"Sick.."
He thought..But he couldn't even stop, the fascination of darkness had taken over, remembering his own darker past.
Where he used to beat up others, steal, do drugs and what not.
But the things she wrote, it was worse.
"Does she really..?.."
Is beauty a blessing or a curse? All of her life, princess YN was told that her beauty was the greatest gift her late mother ever gave her. But when her looks attract a man cruel and bloodthirsty, YN begins to think that her greatest asset is the beginning of her demise.
“Checkmate.”
YN cannot help the grin that spreads across her face as she utters the word, watching as her older brother groans with disdain.
“You always win!” he complains, acting very much like a child.
“That’s because you always get too caught up in the current move, dear brother. The future decisions are the most important ones.”
YN’s older brother, first in line to the throne of their small country Ameris, huffs and crosses his arms over his chest.
“Chess is like war. You get too focused on winning battles that cause you to lose the war. I certainly hope that won’t be the case for our kingdom . . .”
YN is only jesting. Her elder brother is an excellent leader and will make a wonderful king. He’s just really impatient with games.
“I’m sure I can beat you next round!” her brother says playfully.
They both know it’s unlikely, but YN clears the board and begins to set up another game. As she’s placing the last pawn, a knock comes at the door. One of her handmaidens opens it, revealing one of their father’s special guards.
YN’s breath catches ever so slightly before she schools her expression back into one of unbothered royalty. It’s always so hard to ignore her secret lover when other people are around, but she knows she must. A relationship between her and her father’s most trusted guard would cause a scandal that would undoubtedly get Wonho’s position revoked. He’s worked his entire life to get good enough for a spot on the King’s royal guard and there’s no way YN would do anything to sabotage that.
“His majesty has requested your presence,” Wonho says, not even looking YN in the eyes.
He’s much better at keeping his emotions in check.
YN’s brother stands, tapping his finger on the chessboard.
“Lucky thing I’m being summoned, or else I would have absolutely destroyed you in this game.”
YN laughs, maybe a little more politely than she would if Wonho wasn’t standing at the door.
“I’m sure of it,” she says, “Feel free to come back anytime to play again.”
YN’s brother nods and leaves her quarters, following after Wonho. Being the heir to the throne means that YN rarely gets to see her brother. He’ll be gone for weeks, sometimes months at a time as he tours the neighboring countries to learn everything he possibly can, as well as maintain a positive relationship with their allies. Ameris may be a small country, but it is located in the perfect spot for transcontinental trade and filled to the brim with valuable resources. One could dig in a mine for just a few moments and emerge with a diamond the size of a robin’s egg.
Thankfully, Ameris has not had any problems with its neighboring countries in hundreds of years. The last war was ended by YN’s great great great grandfather and peace has blanketed the region since then.
Well, for the most part. In the last several years, the Eastern kingdom of Moonbyss has been steadily expanding and taking over small, unclaimed villages. They have not breached any borders or broken any treaties, however, so there is no cause to worry quite yet.
YN sighs as her thoughts shift back to Wonho. Their secret love affair has been going on since they were teenagers. At first, Wonho was just an attractive boy who was willing to indulge her wanton fantasies, but soon enough an affection bloomed between them. It’s so hard to pretend not to be in love with him, especially when he grows more handsome by the day.
“Thinking about him, my lady?” YN’s lady in waiting, Irene, asks her.
Irene is YN’s closest confidant and friend. She knows almost everything about the princess. Ever since she arrived in the castle from abroad two years ago, they have been inseparable.
“Of course,” YN says, standing and walking over to the window that overlooks her private gardens.
She opens the glass door and steps outside, her skin warmed by the sunshine. It’s an absolutely beautiful day, cloudless and blue. Birds chirp sweetly and the scent of flowers wafts on the breeze. The princess stops at the fountain in the middle of the garden, sitting on the bench and looking into the bubbling water. YN often made wishes in this fountain when she was younger, tossing in coins that reflected the sunlight back at her. More recently, though, she’s only wished for one thing - to be with Wonho. Her father, although he loves her, would never allow a union between them. Her older brother, however, has promised to allow YN to marry whoever she desires once he takes the throne on his thirtieth birthday.
He does not know that someone already has her affections, but no matter. YN is not worried about being married off. While her brother is the only prince in the kingdom, the king was blessed with twelve daughters and YN is the youngest. Every available man of power in the kingdom and the surrounding countries have already been wedded.
YN has Irene bring her a book to read and she settles in, getting comfortable in her garden. The hours pass by quickly as she is sucked into the tale, but soon enough a shadow blocks her reading light.
The princess looks up and is shocked to see Wonho standing in front of her. Alarm flares up inside of her. The two of them have agreed to never be seen together in daylight.
“Won-”
“Your Majesty,” Wonho says stiffly, “The King requests an audience. I have been asked to escort you to the throne room.”
YN hesitates a moment. She can tell that something is wrong by the strain in his voice. Something must really be bothering him for the guard to allow it to leak into his words. She wants to ask him what’s wrong, but she never knows who is watching so she simply stands, handing her book off to Irene who stands beside her.
“Very well,” YN says, trailing after him and back into the castle.
He walks three paces in front of her, leaving her to stare at his back. So much about him has changed in the last few years. He’s gained an immense amount of muscle, something that YN has really grown to appreciate during their midnight endeavors. It’s a shame that everything is covered up by his uniform, but she must admit he looks dashing in it.
As they walk, YN notices that Wonho isn’t the only one acting strangely. The various maids and butlers who usually flit around and chatter pleasantly amongst themselves are dead silent, walking with perfectly straight backs and zipped mouths. The princess notices a few pitying looks tossed her way and something cold settles in her stomach.
What’s going on?
Wonho knocks on the throne room’s closed doors. They are ever so carefully opened a few moments later and Wonho leads YN into the grand room.
Her father sits on the throne, a smaller one empty next to him. It always makes YN sad to see her father by himself. The Queen passed away only a year ago and was her father’s closest friend. The late Queen was kind to everyone, even YN’s mother - a poor girl her father discovered in one of his hunting trips. Apparently, YN’s father was so taken with her mother that he simply had to add her to his harem and rarely visited any of his other concubines afterward. But it didn’t last long - YN’s mother died shortly after her birth. Everyone says that she left YN her ethereal beauty, a fact that led YN to being hidden away in the castle for the majority of her life.
“You’re the most valuable diamond in all of Ameris,” her father told her once, “It’s important that few people know of your existence.”
It had saddened YN when she was younger that she could not attend the lavish parties and balls like her elder sisters and brother, but she came not to mind once Wonho came into her life. It mattered not if other people thought she was beautiful - as long as Wonho desired her, that was more than enough.
Standing to her father’s side is YN’s brother. The jolly air that had surrounded him mere hours ago is gone completely now. He looks furious, an expression YN has rarely seen on his face. He’s looking at a man who stands before the throne, a crown placed perfectly on his head.
Visiting nobility?
The man turns as the click of YN’s heels sounds out against the marble flooring. YN’s step falters as a large, nearly terrifying grin spreads across his face. He is incredibly handsome, but the smile on his face does nothing but creepy the princess out.
“There she is,” he says, quickly extending his hand towards her.
YN, uncertain, looks at her father who gives her a stiff nod. Hesitantly, YN places her hand in the stranger’s grasp, making sure to school her expression as he places a cold kiss that lingers too long against her gloved hand. The princess has never been more glad to be wearing gloves.
“And who do I have the pleasure of meeting?” YN asks, careful to watch her throne.
“King Seokjin Moonbyss, your highness. I must say, the rumors of your beauty do you no justice. You’re much more radiant in person.”
YN’s blood freezes in her veins. This cannot mean anything good.
“Thank you,” YN says, a slight tremble in her voice.
The man has still not released her hand.
“YN,” her father says, giving her an excuse to look away from this man - no, this monster - beside her, “King Seokjin has asked for your hand.”
YN barely squashes the shout of protest that so desperately wants to escape her throat. There’s no way this can be happening! No way! Her eldest brother is just three years shy of taking the throne, three years more of having to tiptoe around with Wonho. No way she can get married, especially to someone from so far away.
“Excuse me,” Wonho says, speaking up from his place behind YN, “I thought King Seokjin was already married.”
Relief flows through YN. If Seokjin is already married, then surely this is an error.
“She failed to provide me with a male heir, so I had her disposed of,” King Seokjin says simply, glaring at Wonho, “Do not question me again.”
There is not a trace of remorse in his voice at all, nothing but anger.
YN begins to tremble.
“Father -” she begins.
“King Seokjin has made us an offer I cannot refuse,” he says, cutting her off, “And besides, YN, you’ll be able to be Queen. You never would have had that opportunity here.”
YN’s father would normally never make this sort of decision, especially not for the daughter he tried so hard to keep hidden.
“Of course, sweet YN,” King Seokjin says, “You are free to reject my offer if you so desire. I would, however, be forced to declare war on Ameris. After all, this country is the most resource rich of all the lands. It’s a shame. It would have been so much nicer to make a positive connection with this beautiful country. I wonder how much of its splendor will be left once my troops march through it.”
The threat is crystal clear. YN has to marry this King or her country will suffer for it. YN glances at her father and brother, seeing the fear that’s in their eyes. Ameris is much too small to fight Moonbyss and win, especially since the eastern country has been gaining a lot of territory very rapidly. YN swallows. In a matter of hours, her perfect daydream has been shattered.
“I would be honored to marry you, King Seokjin,” YN says, trying her hardest not to cry.
She can release her tears once she’s in the safety of her own chambers. She cannot show any weakness in front of this man.
“Beautiful and smart,” King Seokjin says, “It will be my honor to have you as my bride. After all, the most handsome man in all the world deserves the most beautiful bride of them all.”
YN never really thought much of her beauty. She’s always heard it was a blessing, the only one her mother ever left her, but right now it feels like a curse.
“I pray that you’ll join me for dinner this evening, my betrothed,” King Seokjin says.
“I would love to,” YN says even though the thought of having to spend even a single moment more in this man’s presence makes her want to hurl.
“You best retire to your quarters, my love. Your father and I have much to discuss before this evening. I’ll send someone for you when I’m ready.”
The dismissal is clear. YN turns swiftly and leaves the room, Wonho following closely behind her. She walks much too fast to be considered ladylike, but she does not give a damn, wanting to be as far away from the throne room as possible.
“YN, wait!” Wonho calls out to her.
He grasps her wrist, uncaring of who will see, and pulls her to his chest. As soon as the warmth of him touches her, YN loses all composure, breaking down and sobbing into his pristine uniform.
“Wonho,” she cries out, grasping him as close as she can, her fingers creasing the silk he wears, “I don’t want to be Queen! I want to marry you!”
YN feels something wet fall against her head. Based on the way his shoulders shake, Wonho is also crying. She hasn’t seen him shed a tear since one of his best friends was murdered on a mission.
“What are we going to do?” YN asks into his chest, her voice muffled, “I don’t think I can bear being apart from you, especially with someone as cruel as the King!”
“We’ll figure something out, YN, I promise,” Wonho says, pulling away just enough to give YN a salty kiss.
“At least once more,” YN says once their lips part, “I must have you at least once more.”
“Your wish is my command, princess,” Wonho says, pulling her along to her chambers.
The two fall into the sheets, both knowing that this is the last time despite desperately wanting to spend eternity together.
On the other side of the castle, Irene makes her way through the hallways, stopping at a grand door and knocking three times. No one answers, so she swings it open, prepared to wait for as long as it takes.
Maybe half an hour later, King Seokjin opens the door, looking quite pleased with himself. He doesn’t greet Irene, instead instantly walking over to her and pinning her against the wall, his lips meeting hers passionately. Irene barely has any time to catch her breath, but she doesn’t mind at all, too enamored with this man she knows is only using her.
When he was only a prince, Seokjin was infamous for being a womanizer. All too often, he lured servants and noble girls alike into his chambers, whispering promises and pressing kisses against their skin only to leave them abandoned like trash when he grew bored of them. Irene was one of those servant girls, but Seokjin has kept her around for longer than most. A part of Irene is convinced it’s because she’s special to him, but she knows it’s really not true.
Seokjin has been obsessed with YN, the secret twelfth princess of Ameris for five years now. Ever since he spotted her while visiting Ameris with his late father, he wanted her - needed her. After all, she’s the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen, trying as he might to find another. His late wife was incredibly beautiful as well, but she didn’t compare to YN. No one else was worthy of her but him. It was YN that drove him to murder his own father and take the throne before he was supposed to. After all, Seokjin has never been a patient man.
Seokjin pulls away from Irene, looking unbothered as ever.
“No good,” he says, “Simply imagining that you’re YN does nothing. I’m tired of waiting.”
His words sting Irene’s heart. She tries not to be bitter, but jealousy is a powerful emotion, one that overshadows the genuine affection she feels for princess YN.
“Well,” the King asks her, “Who is it? The one YN claims to be in love with.”
The King rolls his eyes, gripping his fists tightly. How dare YN love another when he’s already claimed her.
“It’s Wonho,” Irene says, pushing down her feelings, “the guard that accompanied her today.”
“A guard huh? How dare he think he deserves someone as beautiful as YN!” he says, furious.
Seokjin is terrifying when he’s angry. Irene tenses, preparing for the worst. Instead of gripping her hair and tossing her to the floor like he usually does, Seokjin grabs a decorative vase and tosses it against the ground, watching as it shatters into a million pieces.
“You didn’t strike me,” Irene says, shocked.
“I have been practicing,” the King says, “After all, it would be a shame to make a single mark on YN’s perfect body.”
Much too soon, Irene is knocking on YN’s private chamber door.
“Your majesty,” she calls out softly, “Your betrothed has requested your presence.”
YN rolls over to Wonho, tears in her eyes. He blinks them away, wanting to remember this moment clearly.
“One moment,” YN calls out, listening as Irene walks away.
“Run away with me,” YN pleads, her voice desperate.
“You know we can’t,” Wonho says, his eyes sad.
“Yes we can!” YN insists, “You know this country better than anyone. We can get up right now and flee and -”
“YN,” Wonho says, “What about the country? You know we’ll be forced to go to war if you disappear.”
YN sniffles.
“I don’t think I can live without you,” YN confessed, “And if I can, I don’t want to find out.”
Wonho is silent for a moment before he sits up, an idea in his mind.
“What? What is it?” YN asks him.
“What if you didn’t?”
“What?”
“What if you didn’t have to live without me? I’ve heard rumors amongst the staff of a poison you can take that will put you in a deep slumber for a fortnight. If some was mixed into your dinner tonight, it can seem that you’ve been poisoned and passed away. Then when you awake, you and I can disappear together.”
YN brightens. Even though being unconscious for a fortnight doesn’t sound pleasant, anything will be better than having to marry KIng Seokjin. Besides, she trusts Wonho with her life.
“Okay,” YN says, agreeing right away.
“Are you sure, YN?” Wonho asks her, “You will end up getting rather sick for a few days before the slumber.”
YN nods eagerly.
“Yes, anything,” she says.
“Very well.”
Wonho hops out of bed, pulling on his clothes as quickly as he possibly can.
“I’ll get everything ready. YN, go to dinner with the king, alright? I won’t be able to see you after this so as not to arouse suspicion. I love you, princess.”
He leans down to kiss her.
“I love you more,” YN says, watching as Wonho slips out of a glass door and into the gardens.
Unbeknownst to the lovers, King Seokjin is outside the door, his ear pressed against it to hear everything. He had come to escort his beloved like a sweet fiance would, only to hear his to be wife scheming to get away from him.
Hes never been so angry, but he suppressed it, not wanting to let YN know that he’s been here. He grabs Irene by the arm roughly and leads her out into the hallway, bending over to whisper in her ear.
“Make sure to add enough of the poison to YN’s food to keep her under for longer than a fortnight. Put as much of it in as you can without bringing her to the brink of death.”
“Are you sure your -”
Irene’s question is cut off when he backhands her, one of his elegant rings drawing blood.
“Do NOT question me!” he says, “Do as I order!”
Irene rushes off to do as the King says, tears brimming in her eyes. She’s never regretted being Seokjin’s spy until now, too blinded by love. She should have warned YN, should have helped her disappear with Wonho - someone Irene knows truly loves the princess. King Seokjin is just obsessed with her beauty and determined to own her like she’s some sort of object to be bought and sold.
Peeking around the corner, Irene sees Wonho pouring a liquid into the soup bowl meant for the princess. When he leaves and when the coast is clear, Irene snatches the vial from the counter and empties the rest of it into other dishes reserved for the princess before refilling the vial with water and placing it back where Wonho left it.
“YN, I’m so sorry,” she whispers to herself before fleeing into the night, never to be heard from again.
At dinner, YN pretends not to notice the odd taste in her food. It’s obviously been tampered with, but YN doesn’t let it show at all, eating properly and conversing with King Seokjin as much as she can bear. YN misses the look of glee in his eye as he drinks from his goblet, still believing that everything is going to plan.
YN starts feeling ill once the final course comes around. She quickly asks to be excused and King Seokjin offers to walk her back to her room. YN accepts, knowing that she wouldn’t be able to make it on her own with the way the room begins to spin.
For the next three days and nights, YN is in and out of consciousness, the world swirling around her in a nauseating mix of bright colors and fuzzy shapes. When she closes her eyes at midnight of the third day, her thoughts are on Wonho and the fact that the next time she opens them, she’ll be free to be with him.
But YN does not wake up. Not for a fortnight, not ever. Seokjin, furious, intends to find Irene and hang her for murdering his beloved before realizing that she’s nowhere to be found. It’s easy enough to frame Wonho for her murder and a matter of hours after YN dies, Wonho follows her from the gallows.
At his request, YN is preserved and dressed in a wonderful white wedding gown, still looking very much alive. He marries her anyway and has her crowned, determined to have her even in death. She’s too beautiful to be buried underground, so he commissions a glass coffin to display her in, putting her corpse in his bedroom where no one else can see her. King Seokjin finds that he does not mind YN being dead. She’s much less bothersome in passing, much easier to fall to his will.
King Seokjin stands before her, placing his hand flat against the cool glass of her coffin. Even in death, YN is the fairest of them all.
Hi everyone!!
I’m Opie. I write fanfic. Eventually I’ll write other stuff but for now I gotta stick with writing The Gay Shit. If you’re a Monsta X fic reader, you might recognize me as the writer of The Songbird of Hound and Honey, Flicker, or Blood Runs Cold! Who knows. Maybe I’m flattering myself.
Anyways, I wanna make some more monbebe friends, especially if they’re also fic writers or just adore the boys (ot7, ofc). Chat w me if you’d like, I promise I don’t bite!
Middle of The Night
3:00 am, bedroom
Word count: 735
Hiii, first fanfic on this platform, inspired by Monsta X's MOTN, read while you listen to the song, hope you enjoy <3
◃ ۪۪۫۫ ༄ :༅。.。༅: ༄ؘ ۪۪۫۫ ▹
Changkyun couldn’t stop thinking about y/n a couple of months after they split, thinking back he realized it was stupid and he should have never blamed her for something she might’ve not done. But here he is, sitting in the driver’s seat of his convertible, parked in front of a telephone booth, contemplating whether or not to call her.
He convinced himself countless of times that he doesn’t need you anymore. He kept thinking where you are at the moment. He kept wondering who you might have brought home that day, or if you found someone new that you’ve moved on from him entirely..
But he couldn’t take it anymore, he got out of the vehicle and went straight for the booth. He dialed in the numbers, remembering every single digit, his fingers dragging slowly through the buttons, awaiting for the voice to pick up.
He was leaning slightly against the glass booth, looking out onto the dimly lit street at midnight, recalling the memories of your usual late night drives with the cold night air over your heads, how he would park his car and you two would just talk about life, usually ending up in a light make out session under the stars... His reminiscences were cut off by a voice from the other line.
“Hello? Who is this?” a voice rang.
Changkyun immediately stood up straight, quite hesitant to answer at first, a short silence hung between them.
“Hi...” He finally replied.
It didn’t take long for y/n to realize whose voice it belonged to. Her face was quite surprised upon hearing Changkyun’s voice, but he didn’t know that of course.
“What do you want?” she asked, her question filled with confusion and disappointment, yet hints of hope were detected.
“I don’t know,, I just missed your voice..” Changkyun started talking, and when he was met by the same silence, he carried on, figuring she was silent to listen.
“I missed those times we would just leave early from gatherings, running away from our friends to do whatever we wanted to. Ugh I missed our first kiss in the car under the moonlight..” There was a slight pause before he continued,
“But then again,, I could never lie to you y/n, I’m going out of my mind for you.. Ugh what I’m trying to say is,, I still love you. I never meant to hurt your feelings ending up into this mess. Please, give me another chance and I will make it up to you..” he ended, this time sounding more desperate.
Truthfully y/n didn’t know what to say, she was hoping for Changkyun to call her back and apologize and possibly wanting her back. But she was left speechless when he accused her for a crime she definitely didn’t commit, she just wasn’t ready to go back, even if she wanted to.
“I’m sorry Changkyun, but what you did to me left a deeper scar than you think, I’m not ready yet, and before you convince me any further, don’t. Just let time do its work and who knows what might happen.” y/n finished, giving out a small reassuring smile that even reached Changkyun, making him smile as well.
He respected y/n’s decisions and understood the situation. “I understand y/n, I’ll let time do its work. Sorry for bothering you so late, goodnight, I love you.” He ended the conversation.
“Goodnight.” y/n replied. She said a whispered ‘I love you’ back while pressing the button to end the call, hoping Changkyun didn’t hear it but also wishing it reached him too.
After hearing the line went flat and quiet, Changkyun returned the phone back to its place and smiled warmly, having to hear y/n still loved him back even though it was cut off made his heart feel all sorts of feelings. He made his way back to his car, started the engine and drove off.
Meanwhile y/n snuggled into her sheets to sleep, having Changkyun as her last thoughts before she dozed off.
𝕄𝕒𝕜𝕖 𝕚𝕥 𝕎𝕠𝕣𝕜 (Ch.3: Lunch Time.)
A/N: This was a fic I’d originally posted on Wattpad last year. Hope you guys enjoy!
Description: Working for Mr.Yoo Kihyun was an absolute nightmare; Y/N hated everything about him, and was convinced he was either part demon or at least some sort of reptilian hybrid- never in a million years would she have expected to learn that he was, indeed only human, and even worse; that he might even be…likeable?
The weekend came and went- too quickly, unfortunately, and Monday seemed to materialize out of thin air.
"Ugh..." I groaned as my alarm went off.
After five minutes of 'Maybe I should just become a stripper', I finally sat up on the edge of my bed and glared at my dresser, knowing full well that I'd spend the next forty-five minutes agonizing over what clothes to wear.
I chose my outfit- black pants, a black blouse, and a gray blazer with a grid design on it. I didn't get dressed right away though, trying to avoid getting it dirty while I diid my makeup or ate.
I got ready in the bathroom, and then got dressed.
On the ride over to work, I wondered how I would act when I saw Kihyun. Would I be able to look him in the eye?
Hell, I can't even do that now...
As I pulled up the building, I stepped out of the car and thanked the driver before grabbing my purse.
I made sure not a hair was out of place and I licked my lips, preparing myself in case I saw Shownu. I walked into the building and quickly spotted Shownu at the bar. I hid my excitement as I walked over.
"Good morning," He said with a smile.
Once again, I was reduced to a ball of nerves as soon as he spoke.
"H-hey..uhm, I don't have my coffee cup today," I said, "Can you just give me a large black coffee?" I asked.
He nodded and pulled a reusable cup out from a stack, "Name?" He asked.
I stared at him, unsure of what he was asking, "I'm sorry?" I asked.
"Your name? I need it for the order," he said with a polite smile.
"Oh- yeah, it's Y/N," I said.
He nodded and wrote it on the cup, "$2.50 please, Y/N" He said, the politeness turning into slyness. I blushed at the sound of my name coming from his beautiful, thick, pink lips.
I handed him the money and then stepped to the side when I realized there was another woman behind me. She walked up, and immediately there was a familiarity in the way she was behaving toward him. She twirled her hair, smiled a lot, and even popped her leg up when he'd ask her a question about her order. I rolled my eyes.
Look at her, throwing herself at him. How embarrassing.
"Oh God..." I said, realizing I sounded like Kihyun.
"Name?" He asked her.
"TIffany," She said, much more boldly than when I'd said my name.
He gave a small, polite smile, "That'll be $4.00, ma'am," He said.
Hm...he didn't act the same with her as he had with me...
My heart fluttered at the realization, but I quickly shoved that thought out of my mind, choosing not to read too much into things.
Tiffany stood off to the side where I was, thought she kept her distance.
"Y/N, your coffee's ready..." Shownu said, holding my cup out for me to take.
I smiled and reached out. As I grabbed the cup from his hand, my fingers accidentally brushed his.
"Oh, sorry," I said, almost positive that he could see how red I was in that moment.
He chuckled, "It's alright..." He said as he looked down, seemingly just as flushed in the face as I was.
It seemed like he was into it, but I decided not to linger, "Have a nice day," I said before turning to walk toward the elevator.
"You too...Y/N," He said, repeating my name once more.
I smiled, not turning around until I was in the elevator- and once I did, I immediately regretted it because of course, who else would walk in to the elevator but Kihyun?
I straightened up, "Good morning, Mr.Yoo," I said, looking straight ahead.
Flashes of Friday night came into my mind, and I tried my best to ignore them. He had walked in staring at his phone, and stayed that way even as I spoke to him.
"You've got your coffee. I don't want to see you down here again until your lunch," He said.
Uhm, excuse you? Are you someone's dad around here? Who the hell do you think you are? I'm so sick of you ordering me around and treating me like trash. You don't want to see me down here? How about, I never want to see you outside of this hellhole again. You idiot douche bag jerk.
"Yes, Mr.Yoo," I said.
The doors opened up on our floor and he walked out first, headed straight for his office. II practically dragged my feet behind him. When I got to my desk, I dropped my bag onto the floor and plopped onto my chair. I took a gulp of my coffee and started up my computer.
I had tons of emails and a few missed calls- of course, all regarding his royal highness.
I spent the majority of the morning planning meetings and forming Kihyun's schedule for the next two weeks. I wanted to get it all done at once, so once I finished my work- and my coffee- it was time for a trip to the ladies' room.
I chose a stall and sat down.
A brief moment later, someone walked into the bathroom shortly after me.
"-But is he like, relationship material? Or just a good night?" The voice of a woman asked.
"Look, I'm not saying I'd marry the guy-" A second voice answered. Her voice was familiar, "I mean, it's not like you make a whole lot working at a coffee bar, but... come on, you've seen him!"
I rolled my eyes.
Tiffany.
"Of course, he's no CEO, but, he'll do...for now," Tiffany said.
As if seeing her flirt with Shownu wasn't enough, I have to hear her demean him privately?
"For now?" The other woman asked, "What do you mean?"
There was a pause, "Well... guys like Shownu, see...they're good enough to look at...maybe even good enough to eat," Tiffany said, causing the other woman to laugh, "but I have standards. I really want Mr.Yoo," She said.
"Mr.Yoo?"
"Yup. I know what I want," Tiffany said, "And he can buy it".
Soon, I heard their footsteps go back out the door.
Unbelievable.
I walked out of the bathroom and went back to my desk. I scanned the room, and sure enough, Tiffany was all the way across the room.
She's only been here a few weeks and she thinks it'll be that easy?
Good luck.
"Y/N," Kihyun's voice tore through my thoughts, "Come in," He said, holding the door open for me this time.
I was surprised, but was obviously not going to point out the small detail.
Wait...why'd he hold the door open this time?
Why is he inviting me into his office? He doesn't have a meeting until tomorrow...
Does he know I saw him at karaoke the other night?!
"Y/N?" Kihyun narrowed his eyes at me, "are you okay?" He asked.
I swallowed, "Yes...?" I said.
"You seem unsure," he said, sitting back in his massive chair.
I cleared my throat, "Sorry, yes. I'm alright, just didn't...sleep very well," I lied.
He waved dismissively at her, "You're lying but let's move on," He said.
Her heart dropped a little, nervous for the next part of the conversation.
"I need you to clear my schedule for next week," He said.
"You...want me to clear all your meetings and calls?" I asked.
He nodded, looking down at a document on his desk.
"So, the whole schedule I just finished making?" I asked, irritatedly.
He looked at me from the top his glasses, "Excuse me?" he said.
You're right. Excuse you.
"Nothing...I'll get right to it, then..." I said, standing up.
"I'm not finished," He said, though he wouldn't finish until I was sitting down.
I sat down, trying with all my might not to jump across the desk and choke him out.
"I'm going on a trip to South Korea, and I would like for you to go with me," He said.
"Me?" I asked.
He rolled his eyes, "Calm down, it isn't some luxurious vacation. I just need you to help me out there. Your meals and sleeping arrangements would be covered. That is, if you're interested in coming," He said. I took a moment to think about it.
A trip to South Korea... on business?
An all-expenses paid business trip...with Kihyun.
"Alright, I'll go," I said.
He nodded, "Alright. We leave Monday. You may go."
I stood up from my seat and walked over to the door.
I hesitated to open it.
Something inside me was rising...
I turned ever so slightly, "Mr.Yoo?" I asked.
"Mm?" He grunted, not looking up from the document.
"There's this Korean song...Hyeya. Ever heard it?"
He didn't look up, but I could see that his eyes were no longer focused on the paper.
"Never heard it before," He said.
I smiled, "Oh... okay. II'm gonna take my lunch now," I said, walking out of his office and closing the door.
I smiled to myself, grabbing my wallet as I headed off to find some food.
concerning the wonho thing circulating on twitter atm: I don’t know why this is thing still going on a day later?? even after the person who started the rumor admitted it was just that, a rumor to butcher their comeback? does really nobody have any faith in him nor find it suspicious this is going on HALF A YEAR after that specific fansign?
not only that but do you really expect wonho of all people—the person who just months ago on vlive said he loved and supported a person even when they had no support no matter who they were and the person who dated someone who transitioned and continued dating them through their transition so they wouldn’t feel uncomfortable and receive backlash—to mock a thing such as that? that’s completely out of character for him.
it’s really ridiculous how quick people are to cancel & throw hate when all you have to do is use more than a single fucking braincell to realize the truth
Wonho bf
Hoseok is my weak spot
He can beat me up and I’ll tell him thank you xD
But he will never beat up anyone because he is a softie unlike how tough he looks
He protects and he never attacks
Hoseok is the type of man that would come up to your house at 3am, tell you you’d go out somewhere and you would just go because you trust him that much
Super trustworthy, something rare to find those days
Hoseok loves so much
He is the type that gives his soul to his s/o and expects them to do the same
At least that’s what he hopes because he is not the type to force anything
But who wouldn’t love Hoseok anyways
Despite his on stage persona, he is incredibly pure
Pure love, unspoiled innocence, authentic feelings
HONEST and loyal
Very sensitive, the type of man that cries just because he is so happy at this very moment
“What’s wrong?”
“I’m in love”
Everyone can tell xD He is out of it and smiles all the time
Not a single moment passes without thinking of his love
He is really into dates
Weird flex but hear me out
He wants to experience as many places as possible with you
This makes it so much better
Coffee places, restaurants,theme parks
He is in and ready for a picture
Touchy in public but not in a suggestive way
He wantes to be close, that’s all
Intimate
Sometimes he might come off as annoying if you are not into skinship
But Imagine hugs with this muscular ball of fluff
How can you not be all over him?
Fighting is emotionally demanding
He doesn’t like it at all and he might even say sorry without it being his fault
He invests a lot in a relationship and this might make him insecure
He might get putty in your hands and look for words of reassurment
Please tell him so
He just wants to be loved like all of us
Dancing with your ghost - HW
Hyungwon x Reader • Fluff • 408 words
Today is your anniversary. You hand him the flowers you got him, smiling weakly as you tell him about your day. “You know, today I went to the coffee shop you used to work at. I sometimes do that, it brings back memories of the two of us. I wait for your shift to be over and I go back home with you, hand in hand, fingers intertwined. You always make sure to get me my favorite drink before leaving” you start. You sit down on a near bench and keep going. “Then sometimes I would scroll through photos of us and I would see you looking at the screen from over my shoulder. You would point me the ones on which I looked funny and start laughing. For some reasons you always preferred those and I would hate it when you do that, but you would always stop me from deleting them, saying that one day I might like them more than anything. And you know what ? You were right.” At this point, your voice starts trembling and Hyungwon gently smiles at you in a reassuring way. He doesn't talk. “Sometimes, when I get out of my room I would cross you in the corridors, you would grin at me and I would do the same. Or I would find you nearly asleep watching T.V.” You pause. “I found an apartment a little far from there. I will soon move out.” You feel tears coming to your eyes and your throat aches. Hyungwon takes a step forwards and softly pats your head as he leans down to your level. “You know, sometimes I still feel your arms wrapping me in a hug at night, I still feel your presence besides me as I cook and I get excited at the thought of seeing you after a rough day.” You get up. And so does he. “Why did you have to leave so early ? Why did you have to get into an accident ? I still miss you, Hyungwon. After all this damn time I still miss you.”
He doesn't say anything. He doesn't hold you back. He just keeps watching after you as you walk out the cemetery, tears still rolling down your cheeks. And finally when you're gone, when you're out of his sight, he says “I miss you too” and you can swear you heard the echoes of his voice reaching your ears.
Hope you enjoyed it :)) I got inspired by this song and by Monsta X's MV story aandddd it's Halloween month so it's in the theme ?
“Hello, I’m here to see Ms. Kim” You requested at the desk, watching the young secretary write in the information of your arrival. Her pink tinted lips formed a smile, before guesting you to wait here. “I’ll let her know you’re here and she should come around and get you” She spoke softly, making you sit at one of the couches to wait on Jane. Not too long after, you heard the significant clicking sound of heels come closer, while a female with long dark brown hair, welcomed you back once again.
“Right this way, Y/N” She spoke with a light smile, as you followed her down the hall.
“You want anything to drink? Tea, Coffee, water or Juice?” She questioned, walking beside you as you opted for the glass of water. Entering the office room with a desk and two leather chairs, Jane walked to get a cold glass of water for you, while you could sit and make yourself comfortable. The stars were glistering on the late evening sky, while the sound of birds was nesting to sleep.
“Alright, here you go. So, how are you doing?” She asked softly, sitting across from you with folded hands. Her perfume was evolving into the room, scenting the flowery sweet scent of a woman. You sat back, remising the days you were able to meet three of the boys.
“I met Yoongi” You bluntly answered, making Jane’s brow raise in surprise. Her hands unfolded, while leaning into the chair as she got relaxed.
“How did that go?” She asked, tilting her head to know more out of curiosity. You told her the small story of meeting the unfortunate man of a drunk Wonho and the way Yoongi were the one to rescue you. The way Changkyun helped you get into a concert, making the whole community a mess but were cooled down when there was no solid proof of their accusations. It was a strong wavy story, of how unfortunate, or lucky you were to let it happen.
“-What do you think, about that I will meet with the boys?” You questioned, after telling her the whole thing about the plan with Yoongi. You have already met one of the seven, now the rest were to come. But for this particularly meeting, it wasn’t by destiny but rather playing God.
“I don’t know Y/N. Have you thought about what the boys would think of your return? Did you ask Yoongi?” She spoke curiously, wanting to know more of the story that you didn’t tell.
“I never asked him… but I have thought about it, a lot. It can go different ways, but it depends how far they have come themselves. What if I make everything worse?” You asked, blinking slowly of the tiredness that overcame your body.
“That’s a chance you’ll need to take. But, even if the boys would be shocked to see you, there are no doubt that they miss you regardless. I don’t think you can avoid the fact, that they will need time to adjust. It’s been years, and it’s not just after a quick trip to Europe. They thought they would never see you again, because you tried to end it before they could help.” Jane answered firmly, making you gulp at the sound of your suicide attempt. You blame yourself every day, making them go through with what you did. You never thought of the aftermath, because you didn’t think they’d care enough. Because, without you in their life, they wouldn’t have to worry so much. Little did you know, they blamed themselves just as much.
“But if you want to meet them, I bet it would be the best time. Alone, secluded and without the press being around. They get time to adjust before and after the meet, but you should consider the fact that they will maybe, never adjust to it.” Jane continued to speak, batting her long eyelashes at you. Making your body squirm, thinking about the pain you have caused others.
“when you decided, to not let anyone help you anymore. Was not only YOUR decision, because you took away the others in the meantime. You didn’t give them a chance, to make it better or work anything out. But that’s the joy of caring for others, that they will try their best to help one-another. When things go to the worse, we have people to support us. We should let them and not think, that you are a burden. But it’s not easy to help, when the person doesn’t want to be helped. They don’t know why you did it, they don’t know what triggered it. But what they do know, is that you didn’t give them a second chance to make it better.” She finished, making you realise that by meeting them, you would give them another chance to forgive themselves. But were you ready for that? Because nothing is going to be the same, without the worry of everything. They know what the outcome can be, if you won’t show up one place.
“When… I tried to end it all. I felt like shit, more worthless. I was scared, that thinking of not being around, would help everyone and it wouldn’t matter if I was dead. It was scary, because I was deeply worried. People can relate to my suffering, but I don’t want that- I don’t want them to feel this type of suffering, because no one deserves it. I have felt that for a long time, because people always went ham on me. But I could deal with that… It’s was when the boys went against me without knowing, when those two females came along. It was when one of my closest... started to forget me. It fuelled my fear of being forgotten, because I was already starting to believe it in the first place-“ You spoke in a low tone, feeling the tears sting in the corner of your eyes. But this time, you tried to hold it in. There was no need to cry, because nothing would get changed and getting it off your chest, about the worries that no one knew about.
“It was like. When they forget me this easily, they will forget me again and not realise that I’m gone.” You finished, taking in a deep breath that made Jane gulp. She was sure that it wasn’t just a single thing that sent you over the edge, but something that grew over time. Leaning towards you, folding her hands while a tiny smile of worry formed on her lips.
“It may have seemed like it. But they would never forget you, because they love you unconditionally. That’s where we need to talk, because if we keep wondering, we will keep feeding our fear of abandonment. I know that it might have seemed hopeless, but that’s where we need to continue to fight. Also, it’s not a bad thing to ask or show vulnerability. It helps them, to understand you.” She answered, making you sigh deeply. It didn’t matter how many times you tried to turn it in your head, she was right regardless. It takes time to adjust and get back to where it was before, even though it might never come that far. No one knew the answer, until you tried to explore it yourself.
“One thing for sure, I hesitated. I don’t think I’m completely lost” You muttered, making Jane take a deep breath before nodding in agreement. “It’s progress. I think you’re on the right track, for starters, you have opened up more and that’s a big step.” She replied softly, making you yawn in agreement. Before you knew it, it had already been hours and it was late. Jane called a cab for you, so she would know for sure that you would come home safely. When you were gone, she reported the conversation to the ones who took care of you before. Their expectations were lower, where they didn’t expect the positive feedback. Jane were certain, that you were trying to make everything better, than falling into despair once more. But she was worried, that even small things, could send you back to Europe. The phone ringing afterwards, with a familiar name that made her body feel uneasy. There was one person, she hasn’t been updating about your whereabouts. Declining the call wouldn’t help, but accepting it sent her goose bumps all over her body. “Hello, this is Jane Kim.”
“What’s on your mind?” Jisu questioned, leaning on the chest of Wonho. His breaths becoming heavy, as his dead eyes looked upon the ceiling. Only a duvet covering their naked bodies, to merge in a soft warm bed in the winter season. After Wonho got told off by Yoongi, he couldn’t stop thinking about you, being there and alive. He remembered your words, that you were going to talk to him, but when? Tomorrow? In a week? Never? Wonho was longing to be in contact with you, despite the woman who was kissing his bare chest to sooth his worries.
“I saw Y/N today” Wonho abruptly spoke, making Jisu stop with her affectionate moves on his chest. Her brows scrunched, before she leaned on her arm to look down on Wonho. Her fingers twirling upon his skin, forming chills trailing after her nails.
“Is that so?” She muttered, blinking of disbelief that it was actually you she saw the other day.
“Yeah… But she didn’t want to talk to me.” Wonho groaned, annoyed at himself for showing that kind of side of him. Jisu brushed a few strands of hair away from his eyes, looking at the dark brown orbs take in her soul.
“Why is that?”
“Because I was drunk...” It was something Jisu knew well enough, that whenever Wonho went out by himself, he would get drunk. He does know his limit, but he continuous to exceed it. She hummed along his response, not surprised of the state he was in when he met you.
“She told me, she would talk to me again, when I’m sober” Wonho continued to speak, making chills run down her bare back. There was some type of fear that sparked, knowing that Wonho still loved you to this day, despite that Jisu was right there. She has found a type of happiness from his sorrow, that was going to be taken away, if she didn’t do anything.
“I don’t get why you keep wanting to be near her”Jisu spat, making Wonho advert his eyes towards the woman. His skin prickling of her touch, but couldn’t help but roll his eyes of her words.
“It doesn’t matter, Yoongi was in the way anyways” He claimed, making Jisu gasp of his sentence.
“So… she has met Yoongi already?” She repeated his words, receiving a nod from Wonho. “He was there, when I met her” He added softly, biting on his lip of annoyance while Jisu noticing.
“They were probably on a date and you interrupted them” Jisu added, making Wonho shoot daggers of her claim. His chest rising and Jisu’s lips forming to a smirk.
“She was alone, when I saw her” He spat, stating the facts with his own eyes. Jisu sat up, pulling her hair into a pony tail and let the duvet fall from her naked body. A stare so devilish it could break him apart, if he tried to indulge her right now and then.
“I bet she planned to meet him. I know for a fact, that Yoongi and Y/N regularly met up back in the days. She always knew where he was, so why would it be different this time? She chose to meet him, over you.” She stated, making Wonho’s blood boil of her words.
“You’re lying” He spat, sitting up to match her height to catch her cat eyes in the moon light.
“I haven’t lied, wasn’t I right about Y/N being here and the Jimin incident?” She added, making Wonho battle down. She was right, about a few things but also not completely right. Maybe he was too scared, to realise the truth that you were out of his life. Maybe his hopes were too high, to be a part of your life instead.
“She’s always been like that… She never spoke about you, back when I was with Yoongi. Frankly, you never existed around her, unless she needed help. She texted you, when she needed a ride home, right?” Jisu asked curiously, making Wonho think about the Japan trip, that caused him to let you live with him.
“Yoongi also told me once, she was never verbal about you and her, but rather her and I.M. Being friends. Isn’t that just a little strange? Since you two actually had something?” Jisu finished, making Wonho take a deep breath. He didn’t know that you were so silent about him, in front of others. Were you embarrassed? Or didn’t you like him enough? What did he do wrong, that the other didn’t? Right now, you were in every corner of his mind and Jisu knew exactly what she was talking about, because she was there when he wasn’t.
“Maybe you didn’t know her well enough, like the other boys did? She didn’t let you that close apparently, pretty sad compared to the fact you dated her... Or did you?” Jisu stated once again, making Wonho sigh of annoyance. Before he was questioned only one thing, now he questions everything about you. Were you acting the whole time? Did you even care about him? What was he to you?
While Wonho was tearing himself down, Jisu was busy updating her social media. She needed to remember the whole thing, Wonho told her about, while she could tell her friend about it. Now that Jisu is certain that you are back, she needs to make sure everything goes into her favour.
**✿❀ new blog ❀✿**
Hi !
I’m not entirely new to the scene as I have written before, but that seems like ages ago! A brief introduction about myself, filled with information that I find relevant for this account; I’m a monsta x ult, with a lot of loving for stray kids. However, I do have soft spots for nct and other groups like bts and got7.
I plan on mainly writing blurbs, headcanons and au’s in the form of headcanons/bulleted lists. Any form of full stories (social media au’s included) will most probably be put onto wattpad, unless you guys prefer them over here. Feel free to send in requests!
All I ask is for a little patience when requesting! I’m currently in college and its exam season so I might be a little slow with responses, apart from that, I hope you guys enjoy my writing!
