It is #Molloy Monday and I am here to remind you that Daniel is featured most from 1975-1985 aka the Sluttiest Era of Modern Male Fashion.

Coming in HOT we have the cut off short shorts and cropped t-shirt or mostly unbuttoned button down combo. Daniel visited some warm climates during the chase years so I invite you to picture him in the tiniest ripped jean shorts sweating over whether or not that auburn haired lady down the street is actually Armand!!

Or going into the 80s sometimes the tops were REALLY cropped and exposed midrift and back!! Like just picture Daniel fucking around on Night Island in this, wow wow!!

But even when the pants were long the t-shirts were TIGHT, maximum pec definition through the shirt was a must.

If he didn't wanna show that much skin? That was fine because turtlenecks where IN baby!! These are basically vampire lingerie imo, covering up the most succulent part of the neck but still leaving a hint exposed below the jaw?? Armand had to have been dying of thirst!!!

(Also when it says Armand came to pick Daniel up from jail in a lawyer's tweed suit? He wasn't wearing no modern cut, he'd have been rocking the big lapels because this was the 70s tyvm)

Also important to note was that the 70s were the era of glam rock and androgyny, so picking a silky button down that looks like a women's blouse? Totally okay for men, very in style so long as you leave the top buttons undone to expose maximum chest.

Btw velour? Was IN. This is the 1979 equivalent of a juicy couture tracksuit which Armand could have snuggled right into while they were living in London.

And while the 80s sees the rise of a looser fit, that doesn't mean the crop top died or that people weren't still rocking a more form fitted jean when they were feeling casual.

This photo is from NYC in 1983 and shows that tight t-shirts and short shorts were still very much alive, just styled a bit differently! A tight top and looser straight leg jeans, or short bottom and a flowy open top took the place of all fitted looks.

Or that the mostly unbuttoned button down went away- if anything in the 80s the buttons went even LOWER and more revealing. Paired with a boxy linen suit this is essential 80s Miami aka Night Island looks.

This sweater is loose but it's got the deep V neck and a sheer knit, perfect for the beach!!

And yeah this is Sapder AGAIN but note the half open shirt, leather jacket, and jeans that get tighter near the ankle!! Classic 80s, baggy but still sexy, A+.

I SWEAR this is the last time I'm gonna use and abuse him but peep the muscle tank with the DIY cut edges on the arm holes! V neck! 80s!!!

Basically the takeaway here is that if you're putting them in the 80s and having them rock something baggy and double denim, the look still featured a tight waistline and rolled sleeves or rolled ankles to tighten the jeans. It wasn't just baggy all over!!

Hi! I was wondering if you could find anything about the blue t-shirt that Shauna wears on Jackie's bedroom Flashback?

I couldn’t find her exact shirt anywhere but I am not sure if it is vintage or if it was custom for the show. I usually rule out vintage pieces because the costume department normally needs duplicates but because this scene is in a flashback it doesn’t necessarily need a duplicate. There’s a couple close matches though (without the “Asbury Park” logo) from Amazon and Walmart. In theory I think you could use iron on letters or something similar to make the design.

hello! i'm guessing ur a baby gay, congrats on trying to gender present differently it's a rly cool experience and it'll bring u a lot of joy! any amount of gnc presentation automatically makes u sexier too so congrats!

i think what you're going for is a mix of street wear and artsy casual and both of those can be as androgynous as u want it to be! for composition it rly depends on ur body type and idols r all skinny so if u r similar to them u can copy the way they layer and arrange clothes but i personally can't. could never wear pants as wide legged as seulgi and boa wear lol.

the key is loose fit clothing for a boxy/rectangular silhouette but don't get clothes that are too oversized. i have a chest and hips so i tend to do fitted pants that taper (not wide leg) but have some room at the waist to not emphasize my hips. i have p broad shoulders so i wear loose shirts that emphasize that and aren't too tight at the chest. outerwear is so important!!! a leather or denim jacket is such an important wardrobe staple for every gay person.

in general seulgi has cute artsy boyish looks that u can emulate with a wider legged jean with a quirky design, unusual and colorful sneakers, and fun hoodies and graphic tees. boa does like dancer look or dad look. lot of beanies, oversized t-shirts and sweatpants or flannels and glasses and t-shirts tucked into belted jeans. yuri's bi casual looks tend to be short button up shirts, sometimes over t-shirts (with the sleeves rolled up). also baseball caps and crew neck sweatshirts.

it's ultimately rly about how u wear it tho!! try wearing the classic white tshirt + jeans + jacket look and see if it feels more feminine or more masculine on u, and see what adjustments u can make to ur posture and hair and the way u carry urself to get the presentation u want. try putting ur hands in ur pockets in a masculine way, my gf calls it the transmasc stance lol and i keep noticing every time i do it now. try wearing outfits but sitting or standing in diff ways, slouching a little more (but take care of ur spine health) or sitting with ur legs wider and leaning back or leaning forward with ur elbows on ur knees. jewelry is also v gendered!! buy some thicker rings or more masculine chains/necklaces u can layer. a nice watch does a lot too. maybe 4 years ago i was rly self conscious about gender presentation and being read as masc but now my gf says it's easy to see that i'm butch because of the way i carry myself and i don't even think about it. i slowly developed the mannerisms and posture that make my clothes look and feel more butch. even when i first started wearing men's clothes for the purpose of being gay i realized that my own masc energy makes women's jewelry look more masculine when i'm wearing it and it was a rly affirming moment for me.

bonus: i consulted my gf and the simple way to not look like a 12 year old boy is to not dress like a 12 year old boy. don't be afraid to mix things that are a little bit more formal into your new wardrobe, it'll make you feel more confident in gender presentation. i just got a nice pair of dressy men's shoes (i got derby style docs) for the first time and i wear them with calf length dress socks and semi-formal pants to concerts and artsy events and it feels rly good! i need a good blazer now, i only have very casual outerwear.

///Here's a bedroom/living space headcanon I pulled from my old blog that still applies here. added some newer stuff at the end.

Danny’s bedroom in canon is very bland and simple, very much the fault of the show itself being very simple. (which isn’t a bad idea, its smart from the artists' side of things.) As for the canon of my blog, Danny’s room changes constantly due to it being trashed and reduced to ruin and rubble on a regular basis. You know, from ghost related reasons. Danny always redecorates in ways to really show what he likes and what he’s about. Paints the walls in dark night sky colors and simulates starry skies with a combination of glow in the dark paint, decals, white holiday lights, and hanging star and planet shaped lights at several points on his ceiling. He covers his walls in posters of his favorite games, bands, and movies. Constellation photos, pictures of his friends and family, and certain holiday get together photos also litter his walls and shelves. Sometimes his bed is relatively simple but always is covered in galaxy print blankets and pillows. Also strewn about the room and on his bed are various stuffed toys and plushes. Other times his bed is in the style of a loft bunk bed with a desk underneath it. Despite the show almost never giving Danny variety in clothing, Danny’s closet and dresser are filled with several comfortable and casual clothes of different styles and prints. Hoodies, sweaters, V-neck T-shirts, long sleeved shirts, jackets and more. A lot of space themed designs, alien themed prints, puns, and ghost themes on them as well. He’ll wear jeans, shorts, cargo pants, yoga pants– pretty much anything comfortable. And though all those clothes go in the closet and dresser— they’re often occupying floor space instead. Danny also has several jackets/hoodies hanging on his door and the closet door, all of which have pins with various puns, ghost, and space designs on them. I also like the idea of Danny collecting plushies and other things with manufacturing errors. like a teddie or beanie baby that has an eye slightly too low. or with a missing leg. partially because it helps give a reason to the infamous backpack with straps on both sides. but also because his room gets destroyed so often im sure its just easier to buy cheaper stuff with errors on them to replace some of the stuff.

Danny also has a desk which is either under the loft bed or in an easy to get to placement in the room. The desk has a PC on it and a drawing tablet set to the side. Some various homework and school related books, stationary, pens/pencils, and papers stacked up in corners on the desk or in it's drawers as well. Along with at least one or two audio recording devices also placed somewhere on it.

In another corner of the room, Danny has his digital piano/synthesizer keyboard set up with other audio recording things attached to or near it. A guitar sits to the side of this equipment too, Danny having started learning it.

There is also always a TV and gaming set up across from Danny's bed. With a couple pouf chairs in front of it. To the side of this set up, is Danny's knitting, friendship bracelet, and needle point supplies.

In his closet there are boxes with comic books, model and figure building/painting sets, his portable telescope, and more clothes.

For some clairification on the types of clothes he wears. Danny being transmasc, actively avoids things like dresses and skirts. But he's fine with women's pants/shirts. And doesn't associate colors with gender either. He has a variety of things that are in softer colors like pinks or pastel purples and blues. And even is fine with cute prints, patterns, and designs on the clothes.
