Excellent Ginny fic for those looking!
Everlasting Ink by Asenora Ginny Weasley has always been a magnet for dark-haired orphans. What's one more?
Very interesting and amazingly written non-linear fic looking at Ginny and what it means to be a daughter and to have daughters. It will really hit you in the feels!

Super quick recommendation:
The Calculating Stars by Mary Robinette Kowal.
I gobbled it up, cover to cover, in about 6 hours. It has everything: space, women being awesome, a lovely and supportive marriage, friendships, a historical setting with a twist, bits that make me cry, bits that make me cheer (internally), a moment where I said out loud "EAT SHIT" to the surprise of my spouse who was watching TV at the time, characters of color, Jewish characters, people learning to be compassionate to each other and support each other, solidarity, a great plot, characters who like math, and SPAAAAAAACE.
This book is GREAT and I'm glad I had time to read it. It has sequels too.
I attempt a more coherent recommendation soon but suffice to say YES go check out THE CALCULATING STARS by MARY ROBINETTE KOWAL

“His first question was: 'Who's your favourite philosopher?' My heart sank. I wanted to run off and burst into tears. I didn't know any philosophers. And he probably knew I didn't. When I said so, he replied, 'Oh come on, everyone has a favourite philosopher.' It was such a cruel thing to do to a young girl.” “I was desperate and trying not to cry, but I turned the tables on him and asked him to come up with some names – but he couldn't think of any either! Then he said to me, 'I suppose you've read Dickens,' thinking I hadn't. So I said, 'Yeah, I read him at school.' In the end he said, 'Oh, I can't interview her,' and left the stage.”

A bit tired of people complaining about Sanji's principle of "not hitting women" being misogynistic when it has been clearly stated multiple times that he does not choose it and it's heavily tied to his trauma and admiration for his dad and respect for women and definitely not from seeing women as somehow weaker than him

It’s 2h00, I have a train to catch early tomorrow and still have to pack, but I had started reading Egeria’s Legacy earlier today and could not fall asleep until I had finished it. Um, unfortunately, I now won’t be able to fall asleep because I have finished it! It was just freaking amazing!!! My heart is outside of my chest and I do not know how to put it back!!!!!!
I hope to reread it asap and comment on every chapter with some specific musings and reactions I had, but I just wanted to say right away that the writing was such a lovely read, the characterisations so special to me, that I was inordinately pleased to learn in quick succession that a) you describe your fics as being primarily shipfic and portrayals of women being awesome ((because that’s precisely what I’m here for yo)) and b) you are active on Tumblr and I can follow you!!! Thank you for sharing your fic (and for like, having a blog I could find? if that’s not a weird thing to be grateful for??) and I can’t wait to read more of your writing. <3
(Literally. Cannot wait…will not wait… Morning trains be hanged…)
Thank you so much! It's a real joy to know that people are still out there reading and enjoying my old Stargate fics! Those fics really taught me so much about writing and fandom-ing and all sorts of things and will always have a place in my heart.
Also shout out for not letting the age of that fic keep you from reaching out! It's never too late to let someone know an old fic brought you joy! Sam Carter, after all, is always worth being joyful over.

I hc there's a misconception about Mystery, Inc., and it's that Fred and Velma, being the planners and "braincell holders" of the gang, cannot leave Daphne and Shaggy alone together unattended. In reality, it's actually Daphne and Shaggy that can't leave Fred and Velma unattended. They maximize their troublemaking potential and then go apeshit ham from there.

I kinda wish Troi actually stayed disabled after that one episode where she lost her empathic abilities. That woulda actually been a really interesting thing to do with her, showing her deal with a disability (basically losing one of the five senses) and having to grapple with it, but managing to find she can still be a strong counselor regardless just because she is that compassionate and skilled at working with people.
