ok incomprehensible to anyone who does not have access to my fic notes (aka everyone) (update i tried to put Some context in tags) but thinking abt wills progression of doe to wolf to wolfstag. doe to wolf is all teeth and blood there's practically no preservation once digestion runs its course. it's equal parts freedom and grief. whereas wolf to wolfstag is so much gentler you keep your general presentation but maybe grow a little taller and you finally reclaim the doe (you grow your antlers from her bones). less of a transformation and more of a transition if you will. also what if antlers sprouted from your skull and it really really hurt but now u look rlly cool (this is trans). girl what am i on this doesn't make sense to anyone at all good night

März 2020 dreht sich im Rahmen der Sababurger Wolfstage wieder ein Wochenende lang alles um den Wolf! An vielen Infoständen kann man sich über die vielfältigen Einsatzbereiche der Nachfahren des Wolfes, unserer Haushunde informieren. Sababurger Wolfstage: Vorführungen, Vorträge, Fütterungen! Diese Hunde zeigen uns in einmal täglich stattfindenden Vorführungen, wozu sie in der Lage sind! Sie suchen vermisste Personen, ziehen Schlitten und vieles mehr! An beiden Tagen wird ein Wolfsberater vom NABU im Rahmen zweier Vorträge über die scheuen Wölfe berichten. Abgerundet wird das Programm durch das Lapplandlager und ein Bastelprogramm für Kinder. Die Höhepunkte der Wolfsnächte sind die zweimal täglich stattfindenden Wolfsfütterungen, in denen das Sababurger Rudel persönlich vorgestellt wird. Der Wolf (Canis lupus) ist rezent das größte Raubtier aus der Familie der Hunde (Canidae). Wölfe leben meist in Familienverbänden, fachsprachlich Rudel genannt. Hauptbeute sind in den meisten Regionen mittelgroße bis große Huftiere. Die Art war seit dem späten Pleistozän in mehreren Unterarten in ganz Europa, weiten Teilen Asiens, einschließlich der Arabischen Halbinsel und Japan, und in Nordamerika verbreitet.Wölfe wurden in Mitteleuropa ab dem 15. Jahrhundert systematisch verfolgt, im 19. Jahrhundert waren sie in nahezu allen Regionen ihres weltweiten Verbreitungsgebiets vor allem durch menschliche Bejagung stark dezimiert und in West- und Mitteleuropa fast sowie in Japan vollständig ausgerottet. Seit Ende des 20. Jahrhunderts steht der Wolf in vielen Ländern unter Schutz, die Bestände erholen sich dort trotz häufiger illegaler Verfolgung. In etlichen anderen Ländern, unter anderem im Nahen Osten, aber auch in Teilen Europas, besteht für den Wolf kein gesetzlicher Schutz. In Deutschland wurde im Jahr 2000 erstmals wieder die Geburt von Welpen nachgewiesen, seitdem steigt die Anzahl der Wölfe und Wolfsrudel auch in anderen Teilen Mittel- und Nordeuropas wieder an. Im Erfassungszeitraum 2018/19 wurden in Deutschland 105 Rudel, 25 Paare und 13 territoriale Einzeltiere registriert; damit gab es insgesamt 143 Wolfsterritorien.Wölfe zählen zu den bekanntesten Raubtieren; sie haben frühzeitig Eingang in die Mythen und Märchen vieler Völker gefunden. The protective spells were completed with practiced ease and then James leaned his head against the door and let out a frustrated groan. Remus stepped forward and tentatively rested his head against the broad and still muscular back. His scarred arms wrapped around James and was rewarded with a hand patting his arm.

"We shouldn't tell him," James sighed. "Sirius isn't going to be able to think clearly if it has to do with Regulus."

"You know how he is about secrets," Remus replied softly. "And for the record, I think you're right. We probably shouldn't, but we're going to have to."

"Yeah, I know. It's just going to suck." James turned around in the other's arms squeezed him in a hug. "Maybe I'll just leave it up to you, yeah?"

"Wanker," Remus chuckled before leaning down and pressing a kiss to the shorter man's lips. "No amount of dish washing on your part will make me agree to that."

"Not even the muggle way?"

"Nope."

“If I finish eating this, I might vomit,” Remus declared, tucking into his fourth piece of cake. The sugar, combined with the alcohol, was doing dangerous things to his stomach. But it was worth it. He hadn’t remembered a better birthday party in his entire life. Whether it was simply the warmth of his friends knowing him, really knowing him, or just the change that another year could bring to a person, Remus was content.

Dawn was stuck in a conversation she didn’t want to be stuck in, and was looking for a way out. She’d come to this party to have fun, to get out of her own head, to see her friends. She’d come to this party to try get back some resemblance of normal. There wasn’t even anyone near by she could signal to get her out of this, until Benjy walked past. Taking a sip of her drink, she shot him a look that she sure hoped he’d understand.

heads up for uhhh violence, some weird god/human fusion shit, a brief mention of heart failure. also seras listen i was too tired to check this with you ooc let me live (and also this may just be a Non-Canon Drabble who knows)

Red could not be killed easily. Certainly not by a mob of terrified, furious villagers. That did not mean it could not be hurt, and it did not mean it could not be caught. 

This was the fear that had him in its jaws. The wolf was cringing, snarling, belly to the ground as it trembled there: they had surrounded him, they were ready to advance with nets and rope and blade, and the clamor of their voices and the press and swarm of their bodies was so chokingly familiar that Red could not move. His form was shifting back and forth in some way, the changes so subtle they were nearly impossible to catch in the half-light of torch and flame. Here the features were canine; here they were not; but whatever the transformation was, it seemed he could not complete it in such a state of terror. 

He did not want to hurt them. He had been so determined, once, not to hurt people. In recent years that determination had been fading and now he feared it might leave him altogether.

No! Please, don’t hurt him!

There was a sharp sound of alarm from the crowd, the sound of pushing and jostling- Lucy was there, her arms out, as if she could protect him from all of them at once, as if she would not be thrown on the pyre alongside him the moment they closed in. Red could see them shouting; he could hear their protests. But more than that, he could taste the thrill of the hunt rushing through them: that awful, bloodred thing that rushes through any pack when they come upon their prey.

The mob closed in - someone cried Witch! - and Red saw pale hands grasping out in the dark towards Lucy, saw the flash of silver as someone raised a hammer or an axe--

What came next was incomprehensible. Neither Lucy nor Red would ever recall it in much detail; it simply was not a thing meant to occur to anyone, let alone a weak spirit and a human.

There was a wrenching, shrieking sound, as of iron torn in two: the air was flame and blood and bile; she was limp in the beast’s jaws and they were running as one, wolfstag and woman, and they saw with many eyes and heard things no mortal thing could hear, and for the first time Red knew what it was for a heart to fail and Lucy saw more than any human could see--

Behind them, people were burning.

They were one for a long time, and they barely slowed. It could have been days. When they were separate once more it was only Red’s gift, the remnants of a power he had thought long-lost, that made Lucy’s heart beat again: it had stopped when their souls became one. When it beat again, it stuttered. Red’s did, too.

Exhausted, diminished, the wolf let itself collapse around Lucy’s body, and waited for the earth to make sense to it again.

WolfDagger now supports layouts

Hguild/Catalyst: Quite a few speedups to speed up bigger builds (e.g. Wolf itself)

Catalyst now has cleaner support for alternate linkers. Tried using mold, though it has a few issues so its still not enabled by default.

WolfUI: Menus now dont render a garbage frame before rendering the proper menu when first shown.

WolfStage: RectangleRenderComponent now supports a seperate stroke if you want one.

Added support for MessagePack.
