Do you think Lock from TCF also has the tendency to howl at the full moon??????

That's a good question. To be fair, our dear wolf tribe don't get much show time so it's hard to say how much of their animal instincts carry over.

We know during his transformation state he grows several times stronger, his claws and teeth get sharper and he did howl during his first berserk transformation. Perhaps beast tribe people are prone to displaying more 'animalistic' traits during their transformed states. Although this is not nearly enough clues to really say for sure- but in their human untransformed state they don't seem to be as influenced by their animal roots. Their animal instincts might still carry over but translated into human culture.. For example: in reality, tigers are definitely not pack animals and prefer to live alone, often hostile to their own kind unless it's for mating. TCF's tiger tribe do not live separately per se but they are known for their aggressiveness and nomadic lifestyle. So I'd say, yes, they do retain their animal traits up to a certain extent and also because they are beast people they kind of transform that into human culture too.

So instead of dropping everything and crouching down to howl his lungs out the moment a full moon appears, perhaps Lock might enjoy moon gazing whenever he has time to spare. Maybe he would be inspired to hum a tune or so, maybe even sing softly to himself...

You know how native Americans smoke pipes during special events and stuff, do you think the wolf demons would do something like that?

I agree that they would have special events, but I don’t agree that they’d be smoking pipes. If only for the fact that they are wolf demons and don’t really partake in Human traditions~

I feel like they would probably be more focused on an actual meal though! So perhaps they’d have a feast featuring game they wouldn’t normally go for~ perhaps something that would pose more of a challenge to hunt :D

Koga told Kagome that wolves mated for life (even if it was in a rush) Perfectly knowing she was human and because of that, she would die soon (assuming demons live hundreds, maybe thousands years ?) Did he say that because when she dies, he will die too ? Maybe wolves can't live without their spouses, or barely enough to avenge them ?

Anyway! To answer your question~I don't think it was totally separate. I believe that the leaders and wizened elders of the yorouzoku left their bones and spirits behind to help protect the living yorouzoku. Kind of like with American Indian tribes. And to protect the Gorashi of course.

All the ookami who weren't wise elders or leaders went to the other world youkai graveyard. Does that make any sense?
