Cesare as a Caregiver (Agere and Petre)

Chaotic Fun Parent™: Cesare treats taking care of a little regressor like he’s leading a circus act. He’s LOUD, dramatic, and somehow makes even the most mundane activities feel like an adventure. Need a nap? He throws a whole pillow fortress together and calls it “The Great Cesare Nap-a-palooza!”

Unconventional Soothing Methods: Rocking chair? Nah. Cesare swings them around like a roller coaster (within safe limits, of course) or tells them wildly exaggerated bedtime stories about his “totally real” adventures. Somehow, it works.

Over-the-Top Praise: Every drawing? A masterpiece worthy of an art museum. Every snack finished? A culinary achievement. Every good behavior? “Unbelievable! Unparalleled! The sheer dedication!” His enthusiasm is unmatched.

Absolutely No Indoor Voice: He is loud. SO LOUD. But if the regressor ever gets overwhelmed, he immediately drops it (well, lowers it slightly) and does his best to be a little softer. “Alright, alright, dialin’ it down—Cesare can be soft. See? Look at this whisper. Practically ASMR.”

Master of Distractions: If a meltdown starts, he’s already halfway through a slapstick comedy routine. Tripping over himself, fake fainting, pulling the “pretend to be a statue” bit—anything to get them giggling.

Horrible at Cooking, Great at Snacks: His meals? Probably a disaster. But if they want snack plates, he’ll make them into elaborate, ridiculous designs—smiley faces, burger towers, fruit shaped like stars. He tries to make mac & cheese once but somehow sets off the smoke alarm.

Plays Along, No Questions Asked: If they’re pretending to be a dragon? He’s a knight running in fear. A superhero? He’s the sidekick hyping them up. A tiny bakery owner? He’s the best customer they’ve ever had, ordering the most ridiculous combinations just to make them laugh.

Treats Them Like a Wild Animal Sidekick: He immediately assigns them an over-the-top title like “The Fearsome Wolf of the North” or “Captain Paws, Pirate Extraordinaire.” If they’re a cat regressor? He calls them “the most ferocious panther this side of the burger truck.”

Absolutely Encourages Mischief: If they’re a playful pet regressor who likes getting into trouble, Cesare is all for it. He’ll pretend to scold them dramatically but is secretly thrilled. “Oh no, you knocked over the napkin stack? DEVASTATION! CHAOS!” (Meanwhile, he’s clearly trying not to laugh.)

Takes ‘Playtime’ to the Extreme: Chase games? He’s all in. Tug-of-war? He refuses to lose. Fetch? He somehow turns it into an Olympic event. He might let them win sometimes, but not without making it seem like the most hard-fought victory of all time.

Gives the Best Scratches and Ear Rubs: Despite being all rough-and-tumble, he’s got surprisingly good instincts for giving head scritches and back scratches. “See? Cesare’s got the magic touch. Best belly rubs in town.”

Ridiculous Pet Nicknames: He never calls them by the same name twice. One day they’re “Mighty Fang,” the next they’re “Lil’ Sniffles.” If they’re a cat regressor, he’ll randomly call them “Flufflord” or “The Purring Menace.”

Has Zero Understanding of Boundaries (But Tries to Learn): Cesare’s a hands-on guy, and if the regressor is shy or more independent, he struggles hard at first. But once he realizes they need space, he respects it—though he still yells encouragement from across the room.

Will Absolutely Wrestle With Larger Pet Regressors: If they’re a big dog regressor who likes rough play, he’s so ready. Full-on wrestling matches, growling contests, play fights—he acts like it’s the battle of the century. If he loses, he dramatically faints and declares them the new champion of the universe.

Spoon-Feeds Them Treats Like a Fancy Butler: If they have snacks or kibble-style food, he makes a whole show of feeding them. “Ah yes, your majesty, a fine selection of goldfish crackers for your dining pleasure.”

Tries to ‘Speak’ Their Language: If they bark? He barks back. If they meow? He does a terrible meow in return. If they hiss, he dramatically recoils like he’s been mortally wounded.

Dadbastian week day 2 : Identity

(poem referenced is The Wolf and the Lamb by Jean de La Fontaine)

The reason of those best able to have their way is always the best: We now show how this is true A lamb was quenching its thirst In the water of a pure stream. A fasting wolf came by, looking for something; He was attracted by hunger to this place.

Humans are grasshoppers. Children are worth even less. After all, they're just beginning to gain a sense of value to humans themselves since it's so easy to make them, to lose them, to make some more. They’re nothing but an unshaped clay of potential for creatures like him. Shaped by knives, intentions and expectations, probable pain— until maybe one day, one or two walks outside, reeking of blood and rage, right into his mouth. And it's been this way since the dawn of time, time he killed for centuries to fill the gaping hole where a soul should be, which he filled with many others. 

When that unshaped clay signed his soul away, the demon signed away his freedom for a mere potential. No choice was left for any of them. He was to take on the role of hands and knives but did not think through it very much. He was himself unshaped clay of somesort, walking within the human skin of a protective adult. The demon looks down on the tiny thing that called him over. 

—What makes you so bold as to meddle with my drinking? Said this animal, very angry. You will be punished for your boldness

The now Butler looks at his wet gloved hands. They burn. Pain of the flesh is inconsequential, he could get a new one some time soon, it's a foreign feeling, while obviously unpleasant. Like maybe cutting a finger up while dreaming away. Pain of the ego however rings through his entire body. The unshaped clay now Master is behaving like a newborn pulling a cat’s tail over and over again. It soon enough will become a bit of an endearing trait of his, probably. When it’ll stop triggering his desire to maim. He looks up at this weak master who slowly gains a shape. 

—Sir, answered the lamb, let Your Majesty Not put himself into a rage; But rather, let him consider That I am taking a drink of water In the stream More than twenty steps below him; And that, consequently, in no way, Am I troubling his supply.

Blood is on the grass and more will pour. Body filled with adrenaline as it rips more intruders, more targets. Nothing is known of them, and the demon wouldn’t care to learn such things as family, names or any pleadings, any excuses. Death doesn’t come out of anger nor is it personal. He is ordered to execute and execute he does. Soon enough he only knows executing, can only smell blood and starts to drown inside his limiting cage. 

Everything morphs into each other, flesh is wounds is meat is guts is human. Like all the times he reached this state before, he gains the knowledge that better sleeps soundly inside. Wonders if it will finally be the time to toss aside those learned quirks of patience and care, of loyalty and dignity to give in to hunger. He used to quietly slip back inside, soiled with death, towards the master’s bedroom he entered without a sound just to stare at the little figure. The boy doesn’t move, probably won’t hear. He spent too many sleepless nights before, thus sometimes got a little help in his milk before laying down, to avoid complete exhaustion. Works wonders. Humans develop new tricks everyday to avoid children's screams. 

—You do trouble it, answered the cruel beast. And I know you said bad things of me last year. —How could I do that when I wasn’t born, Answered the lamb; I am still at my mother’s breast. —If it wasn’t you, then it was your brother. —I haven’t a brother.—It was then someone close to you;

The child is the weakest of its kind. His prey smells like death and yet it only brings questions. The demon should eat to appease hunger but cannot, because he chose to be Sebastian. Sebastian is a placeholder for a child’s needs but even that part doesn’t reason. After all, even a mother cat eats her sickest kitten. And it seems like deep down even the master knows the wrong kitten was dragged to hell. In the end, Sebastian showed up and ate what was on the plate. Nothing more nothing less. Everything in nature should take this life away. Nothing did. Humans tame themselves for preservation sake. Something valuable to learn about them. Tame yourself and wait. 

For you have no sympathy for me, You, your shepherds and your dogs. I have been told of this. I have to make things even.

Tame yourself and wait. 

As the demon thinks of his hunger, the butler starts to mechanically check a mental list of tomorrow’s imperatives. His stomach tores apart. He wonders if the bread could make a good Pain Perdu for tea time. Blood sticks to his skin. The young master will be wearing his blue coat, because the air starts to get cold. 

He gently puts his tainted red gloves away, rearranges Ciel’s pillow and covers before disappearing like he came. Cleans the mess outside.

Tame yourself and wait. 

Saying this, into the woods The wolf carries the lamb, and then eats him Without any other why or wherefore.

Thankfully he was always more bored than he was hungry.

Latest patch's pulls

Ok with the game currently making it so it will come back at 11 pm tonight with the 1.5 version being installed, this is what I got from 1.4 in pulls.

Harumasa M1. My heart is broken, I was hoping to maybe get one last pull to maybe get him at M2 but the update came way sooner than I expected, killing my hopes like they killed Harumasa's master. T_T

His banner did give me some pretty good stuff so even if I only got him once apart from his free self well at least he was also generous in other aspects.

His banner gave me Rina twice, so I got her to M1. Which is a nice support for him.

He also finally gave me Corin to M6, at long last. <3

Also managed to get Ben once on his channel and another time on the standard channel, making Ben to M5.

Still impressive considering 2 months ago he didn't have a single mindscape to his name. XD

Oh and between all of those I got to 300 pulls on standard banner and I decided to go for one extra Ice character because Miyabi is good but my only other ice agent was Soukaku so it was time to even the odds so I picked Lycaon because no I didn't have him before, the game gave me Soldier 11 twice, Rina twice, Koleda and Grace once but neither Lycaon nor Nekomata and while I really wanted Nekomata but well, maybe one day, I am not really that interested in Lycaon, mostly how he'll act with his vampire ex friend Hugo when he'll arrive, hell I'm more interested in Hugo than him, I do hope they at least have some synergy, but currently Lycaon is doing well with Miyabi and Harumasa so there's that. Now I feel I'll never see my cat daughter Nekomata after this but I already have 4 Physical agents with Billy, Corin, Jane and Piper so it would be a bit much, but I do hope to get her one day.

So yeah now I have the wolf butler, he's already at level 60 and I got his w-engine months ago so he is fine.

Also got Billy' second w-engine Starlight Engine Replica, he hurts more with it so that's cool.

Oh not sure if I had said it too last time it's been a while but I got Lucy to M6.

I have all the A rank agents. All of them except Nicole and Ben are at M6, Nicole is M4 and Ben M5.

Soldier 11, Rina and Harumasa are at M1.

Miyabi, Jane, Lycaon, Grace, Yanagi, Burnice and Koleda are at M0.

If Rina hadn't showed up twice on Harumasa's channel I could have gotten him to M3 or maybe both Lycaon and Nekomata would have showed up but since I like Rina enough I can let it slide, if the game had given me Grace or Koleda again I would have probably cried of despair.

I wish you all good luck for your pulls with Astra and Ellen, god knows I'll skip them both so you can have them, I don't like Astra (sorry to all of her fans you can keep her) and while I love Ellen I don't need her since I have Miyabi and Lycaon and I am saving more for Qingyi and Zhu Yuan, though I might also wait that these 2 reruns again so I can snag someone more interesting maybe too. I might get Evelyn, still not sure. Waiting for the 1.6 drip marketing to see if I'll get her or not.

Back to Chapter 37 again

Back in the morgue, Chen Yuzhi continued to look at Keying’s burnt body before he reached into his pocket and pulled out her little butterfly clip, staring at it for a moment before he carefully and gently placed it into Keying’s hair, his hands trembling the entire time.  Once the clip was in her hair, he smiled weakly.          “There…don’t you look pretty, A-Ying?” he murmured before he reached up to gently stroke her hair.  As he stroked her hair, more tears streamed down his cheeks and he shook his head, trying to stop himself from crying, before he let out a shuddering breath and leaned down, placing the gentlest of kisses to her forehead.          “Goodnight, A-Ying.  Sleep well.  Gege loves you” he whispered before he pulled away and carefully covered her face with the sheet.  He then carefully pushed her tray back into the refrigerator and shut the door before he turned and numbly walked out of the morgue, causing Jiang Yuelou, who had been sitting on the bench outside with his head in his hand, to shoot to his feet and look over at him with wide eyes as he slowly made his way towards him.  When he finally stopped before him, Jiang Yuelou shook his head.          “I’m sorry.  The killer came for me, and I got Keying involved” he apologized.            “Though you say you’re sorry, would Keying still be alive?” Chen Yuzhi hissed, rage burning in his tear-filled eyes.  Jiang Yuelou looked at him before he lowered his gaze.          “I’m sorry” he repeated, his words full of tears.

I'm fond of this scene because in the drama, Chen Yuzhi just places the butterfly clip into Keying's hair before he places her back into the morgue refrigerator. But here, I've added more dialogue to not only make it more angsty but I feel like Chen Yuzhi would tell Keying that he loves her before he places her back into the refrigerator, not just place her in there without saying goodbye/goodnight, you know?

L: How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?

Once. I write the chapter, go through it once to make sure I haven't forgotten anything or misspelled anything and then it gets posted

S: Any fandom tropes you can't resist?

Hurt/comfort, sunshine x grump, black x white (color pallets)...I've grown fond of arrange marriages/fake dating, and finally, injured character says they're fine before their eyes flutter and they collapse into their loved one's arms

Ooo...good question. But I'm gonna go with Chen Yuzhi. I like him to get whumped to hell, but I also love it when he's fiercely guarded and protected...it's good shit

1. Is writing cathartic or stressful for you?

I'd say it's cathartic/stress relieving. It only gets stressful when a scene or the fic wants to fight me. But other than that, it's enjoyable

I'm very detail focused when writing fics...I like to be as accurate as possible when describing people, surroundings, or what's happening in the scene (especially if it's a case fic). I also pay attention to detail when reading fics...helps paint the picture better in my head

Getting told by people that I'm their favorite author or that my fanfics are their favorite. Best feeling in the world

At the sight of the scars, Yu Tangchun, Chu Min, and Liu Li gasped before Yu Tangchun slowly reached out a hand and gently touched one of the scars.          “Junbai…what happened?  Who…did this to you?” he asked.  Zhan Junbai hummed as he shrugged his robe back on before he turned to look at him.          “My uncle” he replied.  Yu Tangchun looked at him in horror.          “Your uncle?” he repeated.  Zhan Junbai hummed and nodded.          “Yes…my parents died when I was a child, so I was raised by my uncle.  My uncle’s side of the family were all spirit mediums…very strong ones.  Unfortunately, I didn’t share the same strength in my abilities and when my uncle found out…he was very upset.  Told me that I ruined the family line and was a shame to the family.  After that, he whipped me…whipped me so bad that my back was practically shredded.  It took a very long time to heal and once it did…I ran away.  Ran away and never looked back.  That’s when I came here.  And became a swindling spirit medium” he explained.

Can she make a contract and have a master or is that not possible being a President? Does she count in Hell as a child demon despite being a President? Like does she need looking after?? would Amy count as an Aunt to any of Sebastian's kids you have made?

I have definitely imagined some crossovers in some situations, like an older Amy in modern 21st century appearing to hunt down her sibling and popping up right at Seb's and Agni's place- wherever that may be -and meeting Aarushi and/or Ambrose. OR maybe at one point the meeting happened on purpose where Seb really WANTED their new, first heir Aarushi to be introduced to their family.. and then YEARS LATER.. Amy arrives to meet the SECOND one Seb popped out >:3 (*insert image of no-nonsense business wear pencil skirt Amy with heels and sunglasses and nails done looking all the world like a Wine Aunt, minus the wine*) Or of course her getting introduced to Wolfram and Seb and Wolf's babey Ulva, or Amy appearing in the sebagrellerin universe to meet the sweet babey Aidan.. OR... well... there are many verses, it seems, where Amy's big dumb sibling just can't resist a human mate and despite their differences.. 😏

2. Does she want to have a mate eventually too? Maybe get married?

Well, as I've established, in the uhh MAIN AMY UNIVERSE (*snort*) she's stumbled upon a teen reaper boi Adam Borders, under the mentorship of Grelle Sutcliff, and well... let's say she didn't stand a chance in the Tsundere Game >:3, though her veteran older sibling of said game is not too happy with this development! The Protect Family Urges growing STRONGER than EVER in Sebastian 🤭 Even against all common sense! And I've basically established that they are pretty much like mates at this point.. minus the mental bond connection.. Who knows, maybe they'll get there eventually! 😉 As for marriage, well... it's much more complicated to imagine overall because Amy is a demon. And yes, we've written SEBASTIAN getting married, but I'd say the difference is Seb is more... a "domesticated" demon. Because, in this fanon at least, Seb is way more into human concepts like marriage. Not to say maybe Amy ISN'T but.. she's also a young, teenage-like demon too, so.. gehstdjfuy that's the best way to put it, I think. 😅

3. Can she make a contract and have a master or is that not possible being a President?

I personally believe she COULD make a contract, and any demon has the ability in most cases. In this universe. In That Butler, Big Brother, in fact, she tried to make a contract- if VERY poorly -with Prince Soma. Basically if she'd had more experience and know-how, she likely could have done it. Although in that case, it also depends on the human being targeted, and despite if Amy WAS experienced, I doubt even then it would have worked, because well.. Soma. But there's a time and place for everything, so, if the scenario was different, like Amy was facing a human in perhaps a much more desperate situation, and the human needed to chose either a contract or.. y'know.. DEATH likely.. Then that definitely would be a more likely way for Amy to make a contract! And pull it off despite being a President! I think, personally, with her job at home much more better handled and stuff, she could definitely go off and make a contract or two somehow. 😌

4. Does she count in Hell as a child demon despite being a President? Like does she need looking after??

Well I do not see her as a "child" by demon standards anymore, but much more in the pre-teen/teen area of her immortal demonic like. Though there is most definitely a hierarchy in hell, a ranking system, where the higher in the ranks you are, the less you have to do for yourself, really, because you have servants yourself at that point. Though somehow, the rank of "President" counts as still a hard working sort of rank and not a "sit on your ass all day" rank. Somehow. 😜 And I definitely wanted to keep a lot of the "official lore" of Amy the demon from the actual real life Lesser Key of Solomon that includes the fact that they do influence humans in some way.. specifically teaching them things like astrology and liberal arts like the page says! Though my version of Amy is definitely a demon who has been coddled and stays put and, well, despite what they've described Amy as, She or He is much ... smaller and youthful.. (Though there is art of Amy the Demon in HUGE firey forms, and I think despite age, she CAN become like that 🔥 because as we've seen with Seb in the manga, size and shape certainly don't matter~)

5. Does she know other demons seen like Claude and Hannah or do they not count because different universes?

I do believe I've answered these questions before actually! Here about Hannah, and here about Claude!

6. I remember she got really sick too going without eating a soul, so does she need to constantly eat souls?

The main reason she got so weak in that case was from coming to Earth by her own means without all the typical summoning help of a human on this side, and offering up a sacrifice to her like we've seen in the manga done. And, for a younger demon like Amy to just go off and use what power she has to pop up on earth, it was pretty risky on her end! I wouldn't say she has to, normally, constantly eat souls, but compared to a much older demon like Sebastian, it's a very vital thing to keep up her energy if she wants to keep staying on earth and hanging around!

7. I remember early chapters in the manga Sebastian said Hell has Xenomorph looking creatures not cats. Does Amy have those at all or any pets? And does she have a favorite animal like Sebastian?

I definitely can imagine these Totally-Not-an-Aliens-Reference "pets" of hell are the type of animal that are like guard dog-like, and maybe many higher-up demons have them for security or pets.. But I also see Amy as the type to trust other demons for security over creatures that are more animal-like. I'm not sure if she has a favorite at the moment right now, really. I just see Amy as a jumpy little demon, who just can't exactly trust any of the four legged, furry, non-furry, or no legged creatures of earth just yet 😂 (She's still a babey in those types of situations you could say~🖤)

FEATURE: The Anime Stars of Genshin Impact

  Genshin Impact has lived up to its name in that it has indeed made an impact upon the gaming world. Launched on September 26, the free-to-play open-world game has amassed $245 million in only its first month, and that's from Android and iOS alone. I'm not ashamed to say that I have sunk an unholy number of hours into this game. Why do I like this game so much? Perhaps the biggest reason Genshin Impact is so appealing to me is that I am an anime fan.

  Voices from all over the world of anime can be heard in Genshin Impact, from Naruto to My Hero Academia to currently airing seasonal anime. Being able to "hear" your favorite anime character in-game is part of what makes this game so great. Let's take a look at some of the talented people from the anime industry whose voices bring the characters of Genshin Impact to life.

  Paimon (Aoi Koga)

    Paimon is the face of Genshin Impact. No, literally, her face is on the launcher icon. Imagine my shock when I found out she is voiced by Aoi Koga, the voice of Kaguya Shinomiya from Kaguya-sama: Love is War. The intimidatingly smart rich girl Kaguya and the squeaky and energetic (and kinda stupid) Paimon couldn't be more different. Props to Koga for making both work. Koga has also voiced Elulu from Cautious Hero, Yuri Miyata from TWOCAR, and Sora Kaneshiro from Angel's 3Piece.

Male Traveler (Shun Horie) 

  One of the first actions you take in the game (in most games, for that matter) is to choose your character. In Genshin Impact, you choose between two world-traveling twins, who the other characters simply refer to as "Traveler." The male Traveler (whose official name is Aether) is voiced by Shun Horie. I personally recognize him as Enta from Sarazanmai, but most would know him as Kazuya ("Kazuya-kuuuuun!") from Rent-a-Girlfriend. Some of his other roles include Ichiro Suzuki aka Satou Pendragon from Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody, Rat from Juni Taisen: Zodiac War, and Hacker from this season's Akudama Drive.

Female Traveler (Aoi Yuuki)

    What about the female Traveler (whose official name is Lumine)? Turns out she's voiced by Aoi Yuuki, who voices ... Mami from the same show. The irony of this coincidence is not lost on me. Yuuki is probably best known for voicing Madoka Kaname, the protagonist of Puella Magi Madoka Magica. To me, however, her most memorable role was as the titular Boogiepop in 2019's Boogiepop and Others; an unforgettable performance. She's voiced a number of other notable roles, including Tamaki from Fire Force, Tsuyu Asui (Froppy) from My Hero Academia, Tanya from Saga of Tanya the Evil, Tornado from One-Punch Man, Kayo from ERASED, Yuuki Konno from Sword Art Online II, and Hachiman's sister Komachi from My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU. 

Amber (Manaka Iwami)

  Amber is one of the game's most popular characters, owing to her cheerful and optimistic personality. She is voiced by Manaka Iwami, the voice of Teresa Wagner in Tada Never Falls in Love, Lykos in Children of the Whales, Mizuho in Wave, Listen to Me!, and Maquia in Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms.

Kaeya (Kohsuke Toriumi)

    The cool and charismatic Kaeya is, surprisingly enough, voiced by Kohsuke Toriumi, known as the voice of the hotheaded Kiba from Naruto. He has also voiced Shunsuke Imaizumi from Yowamushi Pedal, Mista from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, and Cecil from the Uta no Prince-sama franchise.

Lisa (Rie Tanaka)

    A lazy and flirtatious scholar with electrical powers, Lisa is voiced by the experienced Rie Tanaka, who one might easily recognize as Lacus Clyne from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. The gentle, "sisterly" voice of Lacus suits Lisa's personality to a T. Tanaka has also voiced Yomi from Azumanga Daioh, Chii from Chobits, Sammy from Time of Eve, Maria from Hayate the Combat Butler, Chizuru from Squid Girl, and Suiginto from Rozen Maiden.

Barbara (Akari Kito)

    The first Akari Kito role that catches the eye is her performance as Kotoko Iwanaga in In/Spectre; both she and Barbara have a near-identical dressing sense, with their frilly white frock and cap. Kito has also voiced Nezuko in Demon Slayer, Nene Yashiro in Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, Kaho Hinata in BLEND-S, and Suzune Horikita in Classroom of the Elite. You can also look forward to hearing her as Tsukasa in TONIKAWA and Adachi in Adachi and Shimamura this season.

Beidou (Ami Koshimizu)

    Beidou is voiced by Ami Koshimizu, voice of Ryuko from Kill la Kill and Kallen from Code Geass — two popular characters from two of the biggest shows of our times. Some of her other roles include Holo from Spice and Wolf, Tenma from School Rumble, Nodoka from Saki, and Shizuri from A Certain Scientific Railgun.

Bennett (Ryota Osaka)

    Bennett's design coupled with his "passionate" and "righteous" personality screams "protagonist" to me. And that's exactly what his voice actor Ryota Osaka delivers, being the voice of Eijun Sawamura from Ace of the Diamond, Nariyuki Yuiga from We Never Learn: BOKUBEN, and Ryu Yamada from Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches. His other roles include Zen Wistalia in Snow White with the Red Hair, Keiji Akaashi in Haikyu!!, Yuki Sanada in Tsuritama, Nagate in Knights of Sidonia, Ikki Kurogane in Chivalry of a Failed Knight, and Sadao Mao in The Devil is a Part-Timer!.

Chongyun (Soma Saito)

    Chongyun is voiced by Soma Saito, perhaps best known as Yamaguchi from Haikyu!!. However, his breakout performance was as young Twelve in Terror in Resonance. Other notable roles include Tatsumi from Akame ga Kill, Adlet Mayer from Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers, Doppio from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, and William James Moriarty from the currently-airing Moriarty the Patriot.

Diluc (Kensho Ono)

    Diluc is widely considered to be the best character in the game from a gameplay perspective. He is voiced by Kensho Ono, whose most famous voice performance is undoubtedly Giorno Giovanna, the protagonist of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind. Ono is also known for his performance as the titular Kuroko from Kuroko's Basketball. Other roles include Canute from Vinland Saga, Arata from ReLIFE, Mikazuki from My Roommate is a Cat, Slaine Troyard from Aldnoah.Zero, Tanaka from Tanaka-kun is Always Listless, and Akutagawa from Bungo Stray Dogs. 

Fischl (Maaya Uchida)

    In what has to be the most on-point casting in this game, Maaya Uchida — best known as the voice of delusional eyepatch-wearing chunibyo (middle-schooler) Rikka from Love, Chunibyo, and Other Delusions — voices a delusional eyepatch-wearing chunibyo in Fischl. Well done, miHoYo, well done. She also voices Hiyori from Noragami, Norman from The Promised Neverland, Catarina Claes from My Next Life as a Villainess, Yoshioka from Blue Spring Ride, and Rui from Domestic Girlfriend. 

Jean (Chiwa Saito)

    Chiwa Saito (the voice of Jean) went on to become one of my favorite voice actors after I heard her as Hitagi in Bakemonogatari, Yona in Yona of the Dawn, and Homura in Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Some of her other performances include Aika in Aria the Animation, Chloe von Einzbern in Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya 2wei, and Schierke in 2016's Berserk.

Keqing (Eri Kitamura)

    The energetic and hardworking Keqing is played by Eri Kitamura, known for voicing such energetic characters as Mina Ashido in My Hero Academia, Yui in Angel Beats, and Sayaka in Puella Magi Madoka Magica. She also voices Ami in Toradora!, "Chief" Yachiyo in Wagnaria!!, and Bea in Pokemon: Twilight Wings.

Klee (Misaki Kuno)

    Klee has quickly become a fan favorite, partly due to her short stature and childlike demeanor. She is quite appropriately voiced by Misaki Kuno, known for voicing "childlike" characters such as Hawk from The Seven Deadly Sins, Momo Kawamoto from March Comes in Like a Lion, Shio from Happy Sugar Life, Serara from Log Horizon, Niko from Kiznaiver, and Akane from Durarara!! x2.

Mona (Konomi Kohara)

    Is it a coincidence that this game has both Aoi Koga AND Konomi Kohara (who voice Kaguya and Chika in Kaguya-sama: Love is War)? I think not. Kohara's other notable roles include Akane from Tsukigakirei, Kasumi from Asobi Asobase - workshop of fun -, Mina Hibino from Karakai Jozu no Takagi-san, Shamiko from The Demon Girl Next Door, and Tsukasa's sister Chitose from TONIKAWA.

Ningguang (Sayaka Ohara)

    Sayaka Ohara is known for her deep, "mature" voice — an apt fit for Ningguang. While Ohara's best-known voice role is probably as Erza Scarlet in the Fairy Tail series, she has also delivered iconic performances as Beatrice from the Umineko When They Cry visual novels and Yuuko in xxxHolic. Other well-known roles include Irisviel from Fate/Zero, Alice from Aria the Animation, Milly Ashford from Code Geass, and Mrs. Yuigahama (Gaha-mama) in My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU.

Noelle (Kanon Takao)

    Kanon Takao has not done a whole lot of voice roles but there are still some recognizable titles on their resume, such as Hina Tsurugi from the recently-aired Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater, Latina from If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord, Aku from Demon Lord, Retry!, and Linnea from The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar.  

Qiqi (Yukari Tamura)

    Qiqi is voiced by Yukari Tamura, who shot to fame as the voice of protagonist Nanoha Takamachi from the influential magical girl franchise Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. Her other significant voice roles are as Togame in Katanagatari, Tenten in Naruto, Rika Furude in When They Cry, Io Euclase in GRANBLUE FANTASY: The Animation, Mai Kawasumi in Kanon, Yamada in B Gata H Kei, and Jibril in No Game No Life. 

Razor (Kouki Uchiyama)

    Kouki Uchiyama is known for his soft-spoken roles, especially villainous ones like Meruem from Hunter x Hunter, Shigaraki from My Hero Academia, and Rui from Demon Slayer. Even his non-villainous roles have that serious, soft-spoken nature to them — Tsukishima from Haikyu!!, Smile from Ping Pong the Animation, Natsuno from Shiki, Yu Otosaka from Charlotte, and Toi from Sarazanmai. He is a perfect fit for Razor, a menacing wolf-boy of few words.

Sucrose (Akane Fujita)

    Akane Fujita (the voice actor for curious bio-alchemist Sucrose) had her breakout year in 2017 when she played Sagiri Izumi in Eromanga Sensei and Sistine Fibel in Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor.

Venti (Ayumu Murase)

    Venti's naive and mischievous personality makes him the perfect fit for Ayumu Murase, best known as the voice of the cheerful and simpleminded Shoyo Hinata of Haikyu!! fame. What interests me most, however, is the fact that Murase also voiced protagonist Kazuki from Sarazanmai — between Venti, Razor, and the male Traveler, it looks like we have the entire Sarazanmai main trio assembled! Murase has also voiced Shun in From the New World, Iruma in Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, and Ryo Asuka in Devilman Crybaby.

Xiangling (Ari Ozawa)

    I was very excited to hear that Xiangling would be voiced by Ari Ozawa, whose performance as Chiyo Sakura in Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun (her first major role) is one of the finest I have ever seen. Ozawa has also voiced Hina Hikawa in BanG Dream! S2, Kirin Todo in The Asterisk War, Mao in Hinamatsuri, Papi in Monster Musume: Everyday Life With Monster Girls, Benitoite in Land of the Lustrous, Lynn May in Plunderer, and Conny in The Promised Neverland. 

Xingqiu (Junko Minagawa)

    It is quite common in the voice acting industry for male characters, especially younger ones, to be voiced by female VAs. Such is the case with refined bookworm Xingqiu. This is not the first time Junko Minagawa has voiced a male character — her first role came as Ryoma Echizen from the long-running The Prince of Tennis. Her other roles include Oz Vessalius in PandoraHearts, Cornelia in Code Geass, Sailor Uranus in Sailor Moon Crystal, and Jeanne d'Arc in Drifters. 

  As more characters are added to the game, we can expect more talented voice work from the people behind the scenes. Further updates have teased us with the possibility of such giants as Saori Hayami and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka joining the cast. Can't wait!

To Be a Widow Part 2

Peter’s past three husbands have all died under suspicious circumstances. Detective Stark was convinced that pretty Peter had something to do with it, but more and more lately, Peter’s dangerously loyal butler Bucky has become his prime suspect..read the OG post here and my part 1 to this here 

The ropes binding him are impeccably knotted. No doubt, then, that Barnes has done this before.

It doesn’t stop him from testing them, from flexing his wrists and seeing if there’s any give at all, any sort of slack, any sign from God that he’s looking out for the loveable genius that is Detective Tony-

“Stark’s a liability.” Barnes hisses, voice tight and furious, even as his hands wrap bandaging over Peter’s wrist. Tony had barely even scratched him in his attempt to flee, but Bucky trails his fingers over Peter’s skin like he’s handling some precious gem, some delicate flower.

Peter sits on the edge of his bed, swinging his feet and humming. “I think we can reign him in.” 

Bucky kisses Peter’s now bandaged wrist, slipping down onto one knee like a knight before his King. “He hurt you.” He beseeches quietly, almost a whine, an attack dog, a wolf, desperate to avenge his master.

Peter strokes his fingers through Barnes’ hair, soothing, the same move he used on Tony. “James...”

“Just let me-” he cuts off, a shuddering whimper, and Tony frowns, straining to see and- ah. Peter’s slipper clad foot is pressed into Bucky’s groin. 

Tony feels hot under the collar, and he pulls hard on the restraints once more. Something creaks at the back of the chair and he freezes, but those honey eyes are on him. Peter smiles.

“James wants to hurt you, Tony,” Peter sighs, fingers tugging at Bucky’s hair, loving but firm. “He’s very protective of me, you know.”

“Yeah,” Tony pants, “I guessed as much.” There’s no getting out of his through brute force. Even if he managed to get out of the rope, Barnes has got a few feet on him, and Peter’s spry and nimble and surprisingly strong. “So,” if in doubt, talk it out, “you two are...”

“It’s not so much about us,” Peter drawls, “it’s much more about me. I’m trying to expand my business, Detective.”

“What business?”

“B Enterprises.”

“Never heard of them.”

Peter beams at that, getting to his feet, long silk robe of red trailing after him. He heads over to his desk, covered in important looking documents and lethal, heavy paper weights. He pours himself some scotch and toasts Tony. “Exactly. We operate in a...” Peter muses for a moment, “in a less than official capacity, I’ll admit. But we needed money. I got us some.”

“You’ve killed three people-”

“I haven’t killed anyone, Tony.” He hums sweetly. “But of course, all that aside, we do have a bit of problem now, don’t we?”

Tony swallows hard. “You gonna kill me?”

“Nonsense.” Peter waves him off, “I propose we all sleep on it. James?”

Tony barely has a second to register the grin on Bucky’s face, before he’s being hit by something blunt.

In the morning, sunlight trickles in.

It appears the cold spring has left then, and the beginning a of new summer threatens.

Tony blinks the black spots out of his vision, body aching. He’s still in Peter’s bedroom, still bound to a chair in the corner of the lavishly furnished master suite. Peter’s fast asleep, chest rising and falling, the height of comfort, no fear or concern creased into his angelic face.

Tony jerks when he realises Bucky is standing no less than two feet away from him: watching. 

“Jeez,” Tony mutters into the quiet, trying to slow his pulse, “do you not sleep?”

“I will rip you apart.” Bucky whispers, looking like a spring about to burst.

Okay, maybe another way out. Not brute force, but finding a groove and digging. He can do that. “Sure,” he nods, “except pretty boy won’t let you. Keeps that leash on pretty tight, huh?”

Bucky says nothing to that, but his eyes are ice blue. Piercing. 

Tony prods a little more. “You know, just because he didn’t have a physical hand in the killings doesn’t mean we can’t convict. We can still-”

He words are cut off suddenly when Bucky’s hand wraps around his throat, air immediately deprived, he starts to panic, can barely hear Bucky hissing into his ear. “You ever even dare hurt him I will rip you into pieces, I will-”

“Oh, James,” comes a sleepy sigh, and Tony’s dropped like he burns Bucky’s hands, gasping, choking for air, looking over to see Peter sitting up, curls a mess, adorable and defenceless. He looks like a kitten. “What did I say? I said: try not to kill our guest.”

Barnes looks like he wants to do nothing more than rip Tony’s head right off his shoulders. 

Peter holds out his arms, wiggling his fingers, and Bucky goes, led by a siren, into Peter’s warm embrace.

Breakfast is a very dignified affair.

Tony’s unbound, but Bucky stands in front of the only door, a gun at his waist.

Peter is in black satin, shoes like polished opals, lips cherry red. The table is laden with food: bright, vibrant pieces of fruit, pinks to oranges to ocean-blues, and Tony doesn’t dare move to serve himself, so sits with an empty plate, watching Peter place a few blueberries into his own bowl. 

“Please, Tony,” Peter purrs, “help yourself.” 

There’s no trembling now. Peter’s completely at ease. Certain. The frailness from yesterday is gone. He’s strong, nimble, elegant. Tony pokes at a piece of pear, but doesn’t eat it. 

“I’d hoped we could speak openly today, Detective. About a constructive way forward for all of us.”

Tony lifts his eyebrows. “I thought there was only one way out. You threaten to have your lackey over there kill me if I ever tell the truth.”

“Well, there’s no need for that,” Peter murmurs, popping a strawberry into his mouth. “You can tell anyone you like. Stories are just that, after all. From what I can tell, you haven’t a shred of evidence against me.”

“The books-”

“Gone now. An oversight. Thank you for alerting me.”

Tony smiles without humour. “Fine. So I have no proof. You’ll just let me go?”

“Well, I’d rather we left things on a more friendly note,” Peter pouts, long lashes batting oh-so-sweetly. “After all, Detective, I thought your desire for me was overwhelming you. A kind of madness, didn’t you call it?”

Tony can feel his cheeks heat, but he refuses to be ruffled. “A momentary lapse in judgement.”

“Really?” Peter sighs, reaching under the table, touching Tony’s knee. “That’s disappointing. I feel there’s a lot I could offer you.”

He refuses to get aroused. Refuses to react. “No, thank you.” He says curtly. “There’s nothing you have that I want.”

At that, Peter laughs. Melodic and triumphant. “Well now, I don’t think that’s quite true. I’m sure you’re used to being the smartest person in the room, Detective, but I’m afraid with me around, you might have to settle for second place. You can read people? As can I. You crave control. I can give you that- or, at least the allusion of it.”

He hates how he feels intrigued. Like a puppet with an invisible master. 

Peter’s voice drops into a whisper. “I could submit to you so sweetly. All yours for you to take whenever, however you want. In return....perhaps you don’t spread those nasty, baseless rumours about me. Perhaps you leave my tragic case alone. Along with any other tragedies that might befall me.”

Tony wants to laugh. Wants to mock Peter at using his body as his bargaining chip but he wants. He wants that. Wants to feel that body beneath him, he wants-

“I could play love with you, Detective,” Peter offers, more gentle, and he reaches out to take Tony’s hand, twining their fingers together. “I could be a widow, shaken, unsure if love is for me after all, but then you...you change that.” His honey eyes fill with tears. “Oh, Detective Stark. Thank you for keeping me safe, I’m so-so grateful.” Peter grins, and Tony realises he’s leaned in, holding hands tightly. “You could hold me. Play house with me, from time to time. I’ll make dinner, dance with you, I’m very good at playing pretend, Tony.”

Tony gapes, words stuck in his throat. The kid’s a master. An actor. Sliding into each role.

But he can feel danger along the back of his neck, and he turns to see Bucky, barely contained in his jealousy.

Peter takes Tony’s chin and guides his eyes back to him. “James won’t hurt you, Tony,” he promises, “he’s just protective, that’s all.”

“You play pretend with him too?”

Peter’s mouth lifts into a smile, and Tony hates the audible jealousy in his own voice. “No, Tony,” he murmurs, a beautiful lie, “I only play pretend with you.”

Bucky grits his teeth watching as Tony walks down the drive and gets into his car. As soon as he’s gone, he hurries upstairs to the master bedroom. 

Peter is stretched out on the bed like a pleased cat, naked, covered in red marks. 

Bucky wants to howl. He immediately gets a wash cloth and some warm water, cleaning Peter up. 

Peter spreads his lily-white thighs further apart, and Bucky groans at the sight. 

“He was rough with you.” Bucky whimpers, swiping in gentle strokes, fumbling to soothe any aches. 

“Only because I let him be,” Peter reminds, looking at Bucky over his shoulder, pink lips curving into a smile. “We can take him out whenever we like, sweetheart.”

“But you won’t.” Bucky mutters, two fingers sliding into Peter’s little hole. Gentle and soothing. “You like him.” It’s an accusation. 

Peter rolls his eyes. “I like being adored, James. That’s hardly a surprise, is it?”

“But...”

“Are you feeling left out?” Peter pouts, teasing. “You want to be the one to rule me, is that it? No,” he looks him up and down, and Bucky bares himself to the gaze. Wants to be seen. “No,” Peter nods again, “you want to wrap me up in cotton wool. Keep me safe, don’t you?”

Yes. Bucky thinks desperately, nodding hard. Yes, that’s what he wants. 

“He was so rough with me,” Peter hiccups, going pliant and soft into the bed sheets, slipping into Bucky’s favourite role. “Hurt me, Buck, he hurt me. Will you make it better?” He cants his hips up invitingly. “Please?”

Bucky leans down, eager, kissing down Peter’s spine, tongue finding-

“Oh!” Peter gasps, clutching at the bed sheets, “that feels-”

Yes. Bucky thinks, holding the boy’s hips, making him feel good. This is what he wants. This is what he’ll always want. 

And he’ll do anything to keep it.

300. Sonic the Hedgehog #214

Reigning Cats and Dogs (Part Two)

A flustered Sonic finds himself in the middle of two very angry opposing clans, trying to figure out how to keep the peace without Sally here to help him. Lupe states that she brought her people along to find Sonic because she'd figured that he may have been hurt or captured by the Felidae, though it really does seem like just somewhat of an excuse to confront the queen face to face.

The two sides start accusing each other of stealing the Ancient Onyx, while Sonic wonders worriedly where Sally has gotten to. In the intervening time, Drago's had her tied to a pedestal holding, but of course, the Ancient Onyx. Turns out, it's the very same black emerald that Eggman cracked to release Chaos way back in the Sonic Adventure arc! Remember, the Master Emerald had barely come into existence by that point, so they needed a different "container" for Chaos to come out of initially. Drago gloats about capturing Sally while Sally is mostly unamused by his cheesy villainous dialogue, and she begins to taunt him only to stop herself when she sees an opportunity. Instead, she acts like she's given up hope because Drago is such a brilliant tactician, pretending to be dumb in order to goad him into monologuing about his plans.

He explains that he went back to the Eggman Empire because he was tired of running with the Destructix, while Razorklaw here was - oh, hey, that's a familiar name! Yep, this is the same Razorklaw whom Locke bested in combat, again, back during the Sonic Adventure adaption. After he lost the fight, he was disgraced and exiled by the queen, and in looking for a new crew to join ended up with the Dark Egg Legion. Sally drops the pretense once he's finished, pointing out he's just another lackey and hasn't moved up at all, so Drago gloats that he's the one who came up with the idea for this operation, stealing the emerald to pit the Wolf Pack and Felidae against each other. And now with Sally in his custody, he has to decide if he wants to set her up as the one behind it all to turn her into the scapegoat, or kill her to bring in New Mobotropolis for a "nice three-way war." Meanwhile, Sonic paces, trying to figure out what Sally was up to, while Big stands in between the irate Lupe and Hathor, who are screaming accusations at each other. Sonic suddenly hits upon an epiphany, and gets everyone to quiet down for a moment so he can share it.

Eyy, look who's learning to use his smarts! As he convinces Hathor to agree to his plan, Drago plays at being indecisive about his choice over what to do with Sally, stopping Razorklaw when he tries to just kill her outright and scolding him for being "terrible at this villain thing." At least he's self-aware, man. A loud chorus of howls interrupts them, and Drago and Razorklaw are horrified to see both the Wolf Pack and the Felidae charging their hideout. Sonic shows both leaders that members of their own clans have betrayed them to join the Legion, and they're infuriated that any of their own would think to join such an evil organization.

Big, I love you so much. Sonic and Big untie Sally, and she congratulates him on figuring everything out without her there to help him, as well as bringing both warring nations together for the first time. Drago, Razorklaw, and the Legionnaires who haven't been captured all make a run for it, and Lupe orders her people to stand down instead of giving chase. With their shared enemy gone, the Wolf Pack and Felidae look like they might start going for each other's throats again, but Sally holds up the Ancient Onyx, and gives a nice speech about how they've argued over it for too long and how their enemy has used it against them, and yet they came together as allies today of their own volition.

Good enough, man! That night, Lupe inducts Sonic and Sally as well as Big into the Wolf Pack Nation, and while the festivities commence Sally asks Sonic if he thinks the Ancient Onyx has anything to do with the Chaos Emeralds. Sonic replies that he can't sense any Chaos energy coming from it, so while he doesn't know what it might be, it's definitely not related. This is a strange thing to claim, because, again, this is the artifact that literally held Chaos in it for millennia, but eh, that plot point was never really properly explained to begin with anyway. The story appears to be over, but an issue is never complete without a hook for the next plot arc…

We haven't heard anything from either the Arctic Freedom Fighters or Rotor's herd in a very long time! I guess it's finally time to see what they're all up to…

NATURE WALK

Nick and Jay sat on a rather decrepit bench in the middle of Central Park, sitting around like a pair of cats taking in the sun. It was a lovely day, not a cloud in the sky and only a few passerby around. Everything was peaceful.

The brunette took a quick glance at his now boyfriend, the blonde’s eyes obscured by a pair of dark sunglasses. He was staring straight up, as if envisioning something directly above him or even trying to get some kind of suntan.

“Darling,” Nick prompted quietly, making sure his voice was not too loud. God be with them if anyone heard a man calling another man a name that was reserved for a woman. “Do you want to keep walking?”

They had originally stopped to eat their packed lunch - Nick had made them peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with his master culinary skills, skills that Jay always teased him for. 

“I can always get a butler to make our lunch, Nicky.” Jay would coo when the pot over-boiled, or when the egg yolks on their sunny-side ups became too stiff. One time, Nick almost caved into Jay’s offer after burning bacon while making breakfast, the whole house smelling of grease and fire. But surprisingly, Jay cheered him on, making him start up a new batch. And wouldn’t you know it, it came out perfectly the second time, Jay’s kind words like a spell to make sure everything came out well.

Jay was silent for a few moments, before glancing at Nick, a bright smile plastered over his olive features. “Of course.” He stood up, stretching momentarily before sneakily reaching for Nick’s hand. The male tapped on his palm just a few times, scared to actually clasp hands with the male in fear of public rejection.

“Save the hand holding for tonight, darling.” Nick whispered playfully, waiting until the coast was clear to rub his nose against the blonde’s cheek. This elicited a soft giggle from the other, which was like music to Nick’s ears.

They proceeded to walk for a bit longer, seeing a myriad of sights on their travels. Young children rough-housing in the grass, older gentlemen feeding pigeons, others walking their dogs. Jay would stop them every few times they saw a dog, asking to stop so he could pet them. Usually it was a French bulldog, and the blonde would always get covered in slobber by the friendly ones.

Soon enough, they came across the Central Park Zoo. A huge sign was plastered outside, “FREE ADMISSION TODAY ONLY”. Nick smirked, eyes darting to look over at Jay, who was beaming from ear to ear. “Come on, Nicky, we have to take advantage of this opportunity!”

“Fine, fine,” Nick conceded in a fake-annoyed tone, playfully rolling his eyes as they entered the zoo. The first exhibit they had come across was the wolves, who were prowling around the cage. A hunk of meat was present at their paws, which two wolves had been growling over. 

Jay looked over with stars in his eyes, as if he had never seen a wolf before, not even in pictures. “Wow!” he grinned, going a bit closer to the bars. 

“You seem quite interested in them, hm?” Nick snickered, pulling out his camera, “Wait, let me get a picture of you there.”

Jay posed in front of the exhibit, a silly smile on his face. However, he had pushed against the cage, frightening one wolf who was close to the bars. The large lupine lunged at the metal bars, snarling lowly, which spooked the blonde. “Eek!” Jay squeaked, moving away from the now angered wolf right as Nick took the picture. The brunette couldn’t stop laughing.

“Why are you laughing! That beast scared me!” Jay pouted, crossing his arms tight over his chest. Nick couldn’t contain himself, hanging his camera back around his neck, “Okay, okay. I’m sorry, love.”

Jay remained rather pouty as they went through the rest of the exhibit, and Nick finally caved in to holding the blonde’s hand in an effort to make him feel better. The blonde’s smile returned.

When they finally developed the film after their long day, Nick was howling with laughter yet again. It seemed the film had caught the blonde mid-scare, his eyes bugged and arms flailed in the air. Jay attempted to give the male the silent treatment, but Jay being ever so talkative, couldn’t keep to his promise. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t stay mad at Nick.

Later that night, Nick had gotten it framed, Jay’s scared expression and the wolf’s bared fangs displayed on the mantlepiece. The true definition of a “Kodak moment”.
