I'm feeling rosé -ish and it's #SparklingWineSunday so pink bubbles it is. Today's selection is the  Vilarnau Brut Reserva Rosé (sample) .  Vilarnau is an artisan cava house that produced their first cava in 1949. As for this rosé, on the nose has aromas of apple and citrus. The unique bottle is  called "Trencadis" a mosaic used in the modernist artistic movement in Catalonia. The wine is perfect for brunch and chillin' on a Sunday. I'll be pairing with bagels and lox with a side of hash browns. I'm a big fan of cava. It's made in the same method as Champagne, so it allows you to be bubble bougie at an affordable price. BOOM! Perfect for every day, weddings, and special occasions while not breaking the bank. Oh yasss! Samples of rosé  from Provence have arrived just in time for the weekend so that I can  rosé0 all day. Two of the beauties include: 1) Château Barbebelle Heritage Rosé - The château is from the 16th century and is one of the oldest in Aix-en-Provence. This pink is one of their top wines. The grapes that make the magick in the bottle are Grenache, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. 2) Château de Saint Martin Eternelle Favorite Rosé- The winery is part of Cru Classé Provence and has been continually passed down from mother to daughter over the centuries. This rosé has notes of peony, jasmine, and berries. Saint André cheese how I love thee, let me count the ways. Allow me to charm you with cheese..if you please. This triple cream cheese is in the brie family. Actually Saint André is a blend of the brie mixed with equal parts of thick sour cream and whipped sweet cream so it has a bit of a tangy and butter taste. Long story short, it’s brie with more pop. BOOM! The cheese is produced from happy cows chilling in the Normandy region. Of course this cheese would be great with sparkling wine, so I pulled out some Crémant de Bourgogne...Bailly Lapierre NV Réserve Brut to be exact. They have been making bubbles since 1972 in the birth place of AOC Crémant de Bourgogne, a commune named Bailly. The bubbles are a blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Gamay, Aligoté. It’s crisp wine that’s well balanced. The perfect paring with the cheese, yassss! Sparkling Wine Sundays! 🤩 Giving me the feels to take my palate on an adventure to the Finger Lakes and Vermont. Pairing Dr. Frank Célèbre with Vermont Creamery Bonne Bouche for the perfect pairing. Célèbre is one of my faves! The Crémant is made in the tradtional Champagne method with Riesling grapes in the Finger Lakes. As for the Bonne Bouche ("good mouthful" in French), it's an ash-ripened goat cheese made with fresh goats milk from Vermont and Canadian farms. It's creamy AF! 🥂 . The pairing is perfect for brunch and entertaining. However, I will add it's also a rather sexy pairing so if you want to impress someone with your kitchen witchery, this is it. Luna Vinyards sent me a sample bottle of their Pinot Grigio for the Labor Day Weekend. Ain't I the lucky one.?! 🤩 I’m pairing it with Fromager d'Affinois. The  French double-cream cheese looks alot like brie but is a little cremier. It has a mild and buttery taste with a litte touch of sweetness. The cheese comes from one of my favorite wine regions, Rhone-Alpes. Of course the cheese would go great with a sparkling wine, but Luna’s full-bodied Pinot Grigio is the perfect pairing due to the pear an and citrus aromas, plus acidity in the wine. This wine is quite a delight and cost around $32.00. Luna Vineyards was the first family owned winery to plant the Italian varietal, Pinot Grigio, along the eastern hillside at Silverado Trail. They are the largest estate for Pinot Grigio in Napa Valley. BOOM! So, what’s hitting your palate?
