Ok, interesting but there are some stuff that make me uneasy:

Plant's "sense of geometry". Like. I know at some deep level maths rule the universe but seeing such a on-the-face representation of a biological being having an innate understanding of maths seems bizarre to me. (I know stuff like having a sense of where to place my hand so I can catch the ball that someone threw at me is basically that but I guess it's so ingrained in me I don't really realize it".

"childlike joy" is not the way I'd describe my reaction to seeing this. It's much like how Eldritch madness is described. I got a glimpse at how the universe works, and worse, I got a glimpse at the universe *failing to work* and now I'm anxious if/when it'll happen to me.

This is not about their physical shape/beauty/aesthetic, this is about myself looking at this, understanding there are rules that govern our reality, *and then understanding that those rules can fail*. It's like getting back to your home after a holiday and realizing everything is exactly where it should be *except it has been replaced by an identical copy*.

There's so much i'd like to talk about, like how atoms form bonds at *specific angles* due to their magnetic (?) properties and that this affects the shape a molecule can take, and that the shape of a molecule affects its properties. etc etc etc, but it's 2:30 am and i have work in a few hours.

No offense but... Don't people understand that in fanfic everyone can write and explore anything they want even though "that's never going to happen" in canon? Like... that's one of the main attractives of fanfic. Playing with things that won't happen in canon for whatever reason. The blorbos are like barbies and you can play with them as you please.

Reading some takes here about what people think others are allowed to write make me feel so confused... Also, the levels of anger to say things like: "why would you write that?" Because they want to and because they can... That's it, that's the answer. If you don't like it, don't read it. It's that easy.
