Thirty seconds. Thirty more seconds and he might've gotten away with it. A whole half-minute longer and you wouldn't have seen them. Your soon-to-be ex-boyfriend, Patrick, leaving the bathroom after making out with fellow bridesmaid but soon-to-be ex-friend, Karlee.

Tonight was the joint bachelor/bachelorette party for your friends, Josh and Gracie at Club Karma, where the club was split into two sides. Josh and his friends were entertained by scantily-clad women, while men with six-pack abs were on tap for your side.

Karlee had left the table to use the restroom, or so she'd said. When she'd been gone for nearly twenty minutes, you decided to look for her. You paused in the hallway after hearing giggles that sounded like Karlee, so you turned to go back to the table. As soon as you took two steps down the hall, you heard Patrick's voice tell Karlee how beautiful she was and pull her in for a deep kiss.

Tears sprang to your eyes, but you fought to push them away. You hurried back to the table and sat down next to Gracie just as they announced the next performer, a man named Dean. Your heart wasn't into partying anymore, but you didn't want to ruin Gracie's night. Instead, you focused your attention on Dean.

He was wearing dark wash denim jeans that hugged his bowed legs and molded perfectly to his backside. The sleeves of his white T-shirt were cut off, and there was a red and black flannel shirt tied around his waist. Gracie's table was near the front of the stage where Dean was standing, so you had an unobstructed view of his fine physique.

The music started, the low, pulsating beat creating a framework for Dean to settle into his routine. He slowly sauntered towards the edge and made a show of scanning the crowd for a woman to single out for some one-on-one attention.

Dean's piercing gaze locked onto you and a sexy grin showcasing his pearly whites stretched across his face. He held out his hand in your direction, but you looked at Gracie, thinking he meant to dance with her. Gracie smiled as she shook her head, then nudged your elbow, causing you to direct your focus to Dean. He dropped to his knees and nodded at you, his bottom lip caught between his teeth in a sultry smirk.

Slowly you rose up from your chair and made your way up onto the stage, accepting Dean's hand in the process. He stood up and pulled you towards him roughly so your body was nearly flush against his. You caught a whiff of his woodsy cologne, as his finger traced your jawline. Then Dean leaned close to your ear. "Babygirl, I'm gonna make you forget all about that cheatin' sonafabitch," he whispered.

Hi! I’m trying to find active SPN blogs recently bc I’m falling back in love with my boys and I was wondering if you could rec any writers/ your favorite SPN blogs? If not it’s okay!

Yay for falling for the boys! I myself have a habit of popping in and out of Tumblr for months at a time so I'm not entirely sure who is still active or not. But, here's a few things for you:

I would recommend checking out my Friday Feature, which showcases different blogs and their works and then they too recommend different blogs.

There are also several blogs that post and reblog others' works, such as @hobby27. They find and reblog ALL the fics. Excellent and supportive blog.

Also, check out @spnfanficpond and @dirtysupernaturalimagines (that's actually how I discovered SPN fanfic).

As for individual blogs, there are many. Some leave, some are new, some may be active and some may have gone to greener pastures. Here are a few I love, though I know I'm spacing on a bunch and I'm so sorry for that:

Guilty Pleasures

A/N: During an impromptu chat session in the @spnfanficpond's discord server, we decided to play a sprint game with a prompt! @princessmisery666 provided the prompt, and we all wrote a little something for it. When everyone else mentioned they were writing Dean, my contrary brain decided to write Sam.

Prompt: Guilty pleasures - so there is a song called No One Else In The Room by Jessie Reyez, I've started writing something for it for another fandom but it got me wondering. When no one else is in the room what songs/movies/tv shows do they boys watch/listen to that they'd never admit to anyone else. How do they react when they get caught?

Summary: Sam's not usually guilty about the things he likes, but there are still a couple of things...

Pairing: None.

Warnings: No beta reader on this, and it was literally written in 30 minutes with only a couple of cosmetic changes made after that. It's rough.

Word count: 314 words

Sam hasn’t spent much of his life worried about being embarrassed about what music he likes to listen to or what shows he likes to watch. He spent so many of his younger years defiantly liking things that his dad or his brother specifically wouldn’t like, simply because they didn’t them, that being anything other than defiantly secure in his interests was simply against the grain. Not that he told them why he really went after what Dean called “butt rock” or what Dad had called “rom-com crap”. No, Sam always had a good reason prepared for why whatever he was enjoying was worthwhile.

“It’s educational, Dean. Serial killers are like monsters, so learning how they hunt can only help us figure out what we hunt.”

“Studies have shown that listening to classical music while studying can increase the amount of information your brain can absorb, Dad. If I want to pass, I need all the help I can get!”

More recently, it had been, “Girls take Art History, Dean.” Oh, and also, “Lucifer is possessing Vince Vincente, so this is research!”

This, however, was beyond even his own ability to justify.

That was why he was holed up in his room in the bunker, door closed and locked (even though Dean and Cas were helping Claire with a hunt two states over), headphones on his head, and the volume still kept almost too low for him to even hear. As he watched Applejack and Rainbow Dash prance across his laptop screen, he brought the bacon double cheeseburger to his mouth and took a huge bite. He savored the cheesy, bacony goodness while glancing gleefully at the raisin custard pie (the only pie Dean had ever pushed away from himself in disgust) he would eventually devour for dessert.

Sam didn’t let himself indulge in things often, but when he did, he went all in.

Heart of a Hunter Act 7 Tagging Problems Update

Hey all, I just wanted to make a post to address the fact that my tags aren't currently working for most people on the tags list for Act 7.

New Chapters post Sunday mornings. I'm USA Mountain Time so it may differ slightly depending on your location, but they will continue to post at the same time they always do through the end of the act.

I'm not sure exactly what's happening. I still think it might be Tumblr being Tumblr.

I've tried several other ways of tagging since the most recent chapter was posted yesterday but I haven't had any luck getting the tags to start working. I'm trying one last method in this post, and if it works hopefully I'll have it all solved going forward. If your username has a strikeout, that means even this method was probably not working as I went, and you should check your username, and if I have it wrong please send me a message so I can correct it going forward.

I wanted to send you all the current master list (updated after yesterday's chapter went live) so you can get caught up if necessary.

Also, I will be more vigilant about getting this master list updated every Sunday as soon as the new chapter posts.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience, and also that it's been so hard for you all to read the story. I work really hard to write and edit and prepare these posts and it's frustrating when you aren't able to access the story easily.

I don’t really have a ‘list’ necessarily, it’s just...

In the movie Trainspotting, there’s this scene where Spud sleeps over at his girlfriend’s house and accidentally shits the bed. Then, when he carries the sheets downstairs to try to hide the evidence, a Humorous Snafu ends with shit being splattered all over the girl’s parents and the breakfast table. In this analogy, the executive producers and the writing team are Spud, the writing of the plot arcs is the shit, and we’re the poor breakfast table, splattered and confused.

That’s mean. And yet, that’s how it has felt, the last few years. Plans half-made, abandoned half-done. Characterizations thought of and then not followed through, at all. Random one-offs that seem clever and then aren’t referenced again. It’s kind of embarrassing and cringey, in the same way as that Trainspotting scene--like, really? This is what you chose to do? Was it on purpose? How on earth could it have truly been on purpose?

So, s15, knowing the end date, I hope there will be a real plan. Arcs that can satisfyingly conclude. Interesting things to pluck at and change. I haven’t watched yesterday’s episode yet, but I understand that Mary bites it--that will help. No more halfbaked characterization to forget for months at a time and then come back and pretend it mattered. Nick’s gone, too, I hope permanently, and that will help a lot too. No more Lucifer nonsense. I want--Sam and Dean, and a conclusion that feels earned and not haphazardly stumbled into. That’s really it. That’s the entirety of my list. 

I’m a big believer in any premise being believable, successful, etc, as long as you earn it. You bring back Mama? Okay, fine. You make Lucifer have a kid? Sure, okay. It can be made to work, as long as you put in the effort to do so. That doesn’t seem to be the writing model, this last little while. Maybe, hopefully, if everyone’s aware that this is the last hurrah, real effort will be made.

Honestly--in retrospect, President Whoever of the CW saying that they’d get an automatic renewal as long as Jared and Jensen wanted to keep going, that itself might have been the death knell. After all: if there’s no reason to try, why try?

There have only been a few series finales I’ve been satisfied with (”Six Feet Under” holds the #1 spot, and I was one of the few who was fine with “Battlestar Gallactica”, though neither appropriate for SPN), and in terms of sci-fi-ish shows, I’d love to see something open-ended, a la...

But if they *do* go blaze of glory, okay, though I still would like that open-ended feel, where we can make the call for what happened next, a la...

For his admitted faults, Whedon knew what he was doing for those two, and I dearly wish he’d gotten to wrap up “Firefly” in the same way, but when he couldn’t, he sure knocked it out of the park in “Serenity”, also felt solid closure. Even if side characters bite the dust, it just won’t feel “right” if Sam and/or Dean die because throughout the show it’s been established they, um, don’t. Open-ended much better for holding the line. I hope Kripke gets to have some input. I’d also like to see them get 2 hours run time. In any event, I think J&J won’t hesitate to speak up if they have issue with the plans floated out for the finale.

It makes me so happy that so many people felt invested in Jada and her aunt. Good news for everyone routing for her, I’m going to try to write a book starring Jada and Dottie. I have a plot idea. It will still involve supernatural elements, though it obviously can’t involve Supernatural or Buffy. Will keep you all updated as things progress.
