Fascinagenic refers to a system, subsystem, headmate, etc. that formed due to an intense interest in something. This may be a hyperfixation, a fascination, a special interest, or anything in that vein.

Solumgenic is an origin referring to a headmate or system that is created for, called for, split by or caused by loneliness. It can be considered traumagenic or endogenic, depending on the system and/or headmate

Willobased refers to a system based in creation; a system in which some system members and/or structures were purposefully created. This means that creation has affected the way the system exists, but it isn’t necessarily an origin.

Traumagenic Created System

A system that identifies as created or willogenic but not endogenic for whatever reason.

This could be because they feel like their system is more accurately described as created rather than formed by trauma, are heavily affected by daydreaming or imaginary friends as a result of trauma, due to being very willobased despite being traumagenic, have willomates that were intentionally created as a way to cope with trauma, or something else.

This falls under both the created and the adaptive umbrella and isn't intended to be considered mixed origin or non traumagenic. However, if you feel the term fits, I won't stop you from using it, considering this is already a "contradictory" label.

Mostly coined to describe our own experiences which are too difficult to explain when willogenic and traumagenic are treated as completely separate.

In case this could accidentally read as such, this term is NOT an "anti endo reclaiming of willogenic" or something like that. Do not involve us syscourse.

coining a few plural terms mostly for ourselves since we haven't been able to find any that match (but if they do exist, let us know!)

willish / tulpaish (willogenic/tulpa-ish)

a system function term which describes a non created system that functions somewhat like a created one. this is not the same as willobased but it can have overlap ex) a traumagenic system who splits mostly only fragments, but these fragments need to be interacted with like willomates before they're able to fully form

para-age / parage (parallel age)

an age term that describes the human age approximations for those with undefined or otherwise complicated ages. think of it sort of like "dog years to human years conversion". this was coined with nonhuman beings in mind, but anyone can use it ex) a ghost who is ageless, but they're a child, so their actual age is ageless while their parallel age is 12

Shortly following the return of our system from dormancy in 2023, we low-key identified with the idea of willogenic systems because one of our new hosts, Venn, was a fictive accidentally created by me self-shipping with eir source character.

We didn't have any alters who were created on PURPOSE but now that we've discovered templates, there are many more alters where we've definitely intentionally influenced splits without having been created per se (there's like. only one who was actively created on purpose), and I think it's now fair to say we're willoBASED while not being willoGENIC?

Which is to say...we intentionally control splits by making templates (and a lot of our headspace is intentionally created) and as a result, while we don't usually practice headmate creation as such, it's pretty much the same as if we were a system that did. Does that make sense?

I'm unsure how much we're going to actively identify with the term "willobased", but it could be useful for us in comparing what we have in common with willogenic systems despite our origin having completely to do with trauma...
