Segue a lista: Augusto Cury Amber Hatch Adam Grant Anne Frank Machado de Assis Fernando Pessoa Jonh Green Colin A. Roman Stephen Jay Gould Gaylon S. Campbell Willian Gibson Chico Buarque George Orwell Aline Sampaio Cremonesi
Wattpad @ALEDEAQUINO @AlmaSilvestre @babiempaginas @ChrisFrance727 @Henggo @llamswritter @Lusy_Scalabrin @Montezuma3691 @SaraJesus4 @SayuHiga @SoulFrarAway @wiilka @Wes_Souza
Caso tenha lido alguma dessas maravilhas, não acanhe-se em compartilhar suas experiências, e também de indicar-me seus favoritos que talvez possam fazer parte do meu ano de 2024 se tudo correr bem.

Hollow Knight
Publisher: Team Cherry
Designers: Ari Gibson and Willian Pellen
Programmers: William Pellen and David Kazi
Artist: Ari Gibson
A video of gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_jjd5g9q_w
A video on the development: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSAlVBFdC6k
Hollow Knight is a 2D platforming game with combat and enemies. I think the gameplay seems quite enjoyable and smooth. It doesn't seems like a game that would have many frame drops. I quite like the design of the game because it is a 2D pixel art game but it looks so real.
Shovel Knight
Director: Sean Velasco
Designers: Sean Velasco, Michael Herbster and Alec Faulkner
Programmers: David D'Angelo and Ian Flood
Artists: Morgan Guyer, Erin Pellon, Nick Wozniak and Sandy Gordon
A video of gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeFIyI5Q7Q0
A video on the development: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMikv4TFQ6A
Shovel Knight is alike Hollow Knight, it is a 2D platformer with combat and enemies. There are some things in this game that hollow knight doesn't have, such as using a shovel to dig things up to have a chance of finding something. I think the gameplay is quite calming, it doesn't seem too difficult. The design is pixelated but they make it look nice too look at by making the designs somewhat realistic with shadows and lighting.
Terraria
Developer: Re-Logic
Publisher: 505 Games
Producer: Whitney Spinks
Designers: Andrew Spinks, Whitney Spinks and Yorai Omer
Programmers: Yorai Omer, Andrew Spinks and Chris Bednarz

A video of development: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENT2_yeBf0w
Terraria is a game like minecraft but it's 2D. You can chop down trees, fight enemies, go mining, build things, e.t.c. I think the gameplay is quite enjoyable and there are different modes for people who may wanna play in different ways. The design of the game is pixels same with most 2d games. The texturing of everything is nice to loo,k at. There are many pixels in each sprites which means it looks more realistic.
Limbo
Developer: Playdead
Publishers: Microsoft Game Studios and Playdead
Director: Arnt Jensen
Producers: Dino Patti and Mads Wibroe
Designer: Jeppe Carlson
Programmer: Thomas Krog
Artists: Morten Christian Bramsen and Stine Sørensen
Composer: Martin Stig Andersen
Video of gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ie19_GXAAw
Video of development: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4w_I-wtH5ZY
Limbo is a puzzle-platform video game. It is a 2D side-scroller which incorporates a physics system that governs environmental objects and the player character. The gameplay looks like a horror game.

David Boreanaz's career has really surprised me. It seems rare for someone to star in network television for almost 25 consecutive years. I say almost because while Seal Team is still on, it went from CBS to paramount+ midseason. To go from Buffy, to Angel, to Bones, to Seal Team without an off year is something. Had you asked me at Buffy peak whose career would go on to be most successful, idk that I would have said him. What is the magic mix to lead to a successful career like his?
For starters he's tall, dark, and handsome.... but not too handsome that he's unattainable.  He can bring humor to the table along with his more serious broody persona that made his Angel initially popular.  He comes across as likeable who is committed and not half-assing anything; he’s reliable.  He has screen presence and just enough screen charisma that people won’t mind checking out his earlier work.  Much like Sam Winchester fans doesn’t mind checking out Gilmore Girls.  Lately I’ve heard that Walker fans are checking out Supernatural.   Networks and studios know if the general audience are checking out actors' previous works and that is one of the best indicators that they are ideal candidates to lead their new tv shows.  Then these actors go on the shortlist that networks think can lead shows and have the stamina for it.
Some actors are too well known for their iconic roles and disappear to theaters for a year or two, like Chris Evans.  But at the same time the general audience wouldn't accept them in anything other than familiar archetype roles, so studio mix up the spice ingredients but not the main course i.e. Tim Allen went from a character who is a former salesman with a home improvement show with 3 sons to a character who is a former salesman with outdoor gear vlog with 3 daughters.  David’s roles are all similar archetypes: track down baddies and either punish or arrest them, no matter the genre.  Jared Padalecki may one day break David’s record.  Here are some lead actors with multiple shows…
Nathan Fillion - Firefly, Castle, The Rookie.
Ted Danson - Cheers, Becker, CSI NY, Good Place, Mr Mayor
Scott Bakula - Quantum Leap, Enterprise, NCIS New Orleans.
Willian Shatner - Star Trek, TJ Hooker, Boston Legal.
Kerry Washington - Scandal, Little Fires Everywhere
Bryan Cranston - Breaking Bad, Your Honor.
Tom Sellek - Magnum PI, Blue Bloods.
Tim Allen - Home Improvement, Last Man Standing.
Thomas Gibson - Dharma & Greg, Criminal Minds.

So, we all know that the “reading of literature classics” is an Academia thing right? But it’s always good to remember that there are classics from a lot of different literature genders! So, as a terror and sci-fi fan, I’m doing this small list of classics that are actually from one of those. Feel free to add some more! (Então, todos sabemos que “leitura de clássicos da literatura” é uma coisa do meio Academia, né? Mas é sempre bom lembrar que existem clássicos de vários gêneros literários diferentes! Rangers Comeback To Beat Twins.
Rangers 6 Twins 3 W-Rodriguez (1-1) L-Waddell (0-1) SV-Kennedy (8)
The Minnesota Twins have been plagued mostly by a bad bullpen that has seen them lose countless amounts of close games late. Tonight was the same story as the Twins couldn’t hold a lead against the Rangers at Target Field. The Rangers got their bats going early in the first inning. Isiah Kiner-Falefa led-off and was hit by a pitch. Nate Lowe walked and Adolis Garcia hit a run-scoring single to right to put Texas on the board first. The Twins answered in the bottom of the first as Josh Donaldson drew a one-out walk. Byron Buxton then smoked a Kyle Gibson fastball out to left-center for a two-run homer. This put the Twins up by a run after an inning of play. JA Happ and Kyle Gibson settled down after giving up runs in the first inning. The Twins added an insurance run in the fifth when Willians Astudillo drilled a Kyle Gibson slider out to left for a solo homer. This put the Twins up 3-1 after five innings of play. Meanwhile, JA Happ finished off 5 1/3 solid innings and the bullpen was holding their own until the ninth. Willie Calhoun led-off the ninth and crushed a Taylor Rogers fastball out to right for a solo homer. The Rangers were within one and didn’t quit. Charlie Culberson hit a slow roller to third base that Josh Donaldson couldn’t handle. Andy Ibanez lined a single to left and Jose Trevino bunted the runners over. Isiah Kiner-Falefa hit a sacrifice fly to shallow left field that Andrelton Simmons caught. This tied the game up at three and the Twins couldn’t rally in the bottom of the ninth. We headed to extras and it didn’t go well for the Twins. Adolis Garcia smacked a Brandon Waddell slider out to left for a two-run blast to start a tenth inning rally for Texas. Joey Gallo followed with a double and Charlie Culberson hit a two-out double to left. This put the Rangers up 6-3 and they never looked back. Ian Kennedy had a scoreless tenth and the Rangers stole a game from the Twins tonight.
-Final Thoughts- JA Happ had another solid start for the Twins. He went 5 1/3 innings and allowed a run on four hits with a walk and three strikeouts. Hansel Robles got five big outs and Tyler Duffey got the first two outs of the eighth. Taylor Rogers finished off the eighth, but it’s tough for closers to get their adrenaline back when pitching in a multiple inning save. He gave up two runs in the ninth, which tied the game. Brandon Waddell gave up three runs in 2/3 of an inning and Jorge Alcala got out of the tenth. Mitch Garver led the team with two hits. The Twins hit 1-for-3 with runners in scoring position and left three men on base. Alex Kirilloff missed tonight’s game with wrist soreness. Michael Pineda’s start will be pushed back to Thursday. Kyle Gibson pitched a gem against his old team. He threw eight innings and allowed three runs on three hits with two walks and eight strikeouts. Tomorrow, Hyeon-Jong Yang will make his first Major League start against Lewis Thorpe.

Jeff Majors - Yoka Boka (For Us All) - reissue of private-press harp LP from 1986
Invisible City Editions reissues a highly sought after and impossibly rare 1986 private-press spiritual jazz LP from Washington D.C. harpist Jeff Majors. Majors was a devoted personal student of Alice Coltrane’s for three years as a teenager, taking harp and spiritual instruction at her home in the Bay Area just before she established her renowned ashram in Huntington, California. Following his tutelage with Coltrane, he returned to the East Coast, joining Sun Ra acolyte Brother Ah's ensemble The Sounds Of Awareness, playing on their classic spiritual jazz LP Key To Nowhere. Inspired by a trip to West Africa’s Gambia, For Us All (Yoka Boka) and its title track finds Majors coming fully into his own as an artist, fusing the lofty sensibilities he absorbed from the cosmic jazz masters Coltrane and Brother Ah with an accessible sonic palette drawn from the synth-driven electronic sounds of 1980’s soul music, as well as traditional African instruments. Each song on this album is an inspired vision of the personal and the devotional via the harp’s universal glistening tones, shimmering synths, LinnDrum machine and African percussion. The album opener “Yasmeen” is a pulsing, arpeggiated journey that is genre-defying and absolutely transcendent in its glissando-driven momentum, setting the stage for the album’s unique nexus of sounds, all led by the refined virtuosity of Majors’ harp playing. The rest of the album’s originals and covers (check the sublime arrangement of the Gershwins’ “Summertime”) are equally as unique and compelling.
Musicians: JEFF MAJORS: “Hanifah” (the Harp), Moog-bass, Spirit Box, Mbira James King: Bass (except Yoka Boka) Mike Bowie: Bass (Yoka Boka) Ysea Barnwell: Violin Naser Abadey: Drums Sais Kamalidin: Flute Mamadi Nyasuma: Percussion (Yoka Boka) Voices: Foluke Bady-Siby: lead vocal Bheti Yasmeen Willians: lead vocal Candy Gibson & Babara Brown: VOCAL (Room 400) THE CHILDREN: Timothy Gaskins, Tabitha Gaskins, Titus Gaskins, Jason Stribling, Zephaniah Stribling, Escharon Monroe, Mia Burell, Amina Taylor, and Stephen Taylor

We rarely see actors who played lead roles on long running tv shows take up another lead role immediately after the show has ended. David Boreanz and Michael Weatherly are two names I know and now Jared Padalecki ( there might be many but my TV is limited). But why is that ? Is it because they have made enough money so they don't have to rush immediately or they take time to choose their next project because it has to be a compelling like their previous one? I know you have said that being be a TV lead is stressful. Is it that? I know some go off to do movies. Is it by choice they don't want to take up TV lead roles again? I hope my ask made sense.
Combination of reasons:
1.  Half the time it’s because their new pilot shows weren’t picked up or cancelled after the first seaon and disappeared down the memory hole.
2. From the 1980s through 2000s, tv lead stars tried to make it in movies, partly for the prestige and mostly for better work schedules.  Filming schedules for one hour tv series is hellacious.  Even half hour sitcoms filming schedules are not walk in the parks, stage actress Cindy Williams found filming Laverne & Shirley to be taxing and eventually left the show.  Tom Sellek said he’s “not complaining” about being a lead during Magnum P.I, “but it was a tough road”.
3. From 2010 to present, movie actors are transitioning to television and taking jobs from regular tv actors.  Producers promise the movie stars shorter tv seasons to spare them the usual hellacious tv filming schedule.  Actors who are movie stars but not leading men or ladies are now offered to lead their own tv series and a shot at the A-list: Karl Urban's The Boys. Walton Goggin's The Unicorn, Rosario Dawson's Briarpatch, Awkwafina's Nora from Queen,  Anna Kendrick 's Love Life,  Stephen Dorff''s Deputy,  ]Josh Hutcherson's Future Man, Claire Dane's Homeland, Natalie Dormer's Penny Dreadful City of Angels,  Billy Bob Thornton's Goliath.
4. Blacklisted, informally and formally.  Informal - word of mouth between producers prevent actors from finding work.  Formal - actors are contractually obligated not to appear in television for a specific number of years.
So with that said, here’s a list of lead actors with mutiple shows off the top of my head...
Nathan Fillion - Firefly, Castle, The Rookie.
David Boreanz - Angel, Bones, Seal Team
Bryan Cranston - Breaking Bad, Your Honor.
Tom Sellek - Magnum PI, Blue Bloods.
Tim Allen - Home Improvement, Last Man Standing.
Thomas Gibson - Dharma & Greg, Criminal Minds.
Kerry Washington - Scandal, Little Fires Everywhere
Ted Danson - Cheers, Becker, CSI NY, Good Place.
Scott Bakula - Quantum Leap, Enterprise, NCIS New Orleans.
Willian Shatner - Star Trek, TJ Hooker, Boston Legal.
You'll notice that these lead actors are playing similar archetypes regardless of genre category.

Football rumours from the media
What the papers say
Chelsea have made a huge bid for Paris St-Germain striker Edinson Cavani, according to the Daily Mail. The club’s reported offer includes the rest of this season’s wages (£360,000 a week) as well as a £5 million loan fee.
However the club will have to battle Atletico Madrid for the 32-year-old’s services, with The Guardian reporting Cavani’s father believes his preferred destination to be Atletico Madrid. There are reports that PSG are demanding at least £15m for the former Napoli player, however Atletico are confident that a deal will be done.
Sky Sports says that six Premier League clubs are chasing Tottenham left-back Danny Rose in this month’s transfer window. Newcastle and Watford are among the teams rumoured to be chasing Rose’s signature, despite the 29-year-old only starting in one of the Spurs’ last 14 Premier League matches.
Sticking with Tottenham, AS says manager Jose Mourinho has targeted Real Sociedad striker Willian Jose as a replacement for the injured Harry Kane. It is believed that a deal will be done in the next few days, with the 28-year-old flying to London for talks.
