We've reached the halfway point for volume 3, page 18 of 36. This also begins the pages covering Hannibal season 1 episode 8, Fromage.

As long as I continue my 1 page per week, volume 3 should be finished and ready for order around November. Just in time for Yule presents.

Will's descent into madness has always felt oddly relatable.

I think the reason Winston stays so close to Will/always went back home while Will was in prison, is because of his previous owner. Winston had a rope chain around his neck when Will found him. I like to think his previous owner wasn't that loving. Not abusive or anything. But more of a "no dogs in the house" type of guy.

This could explain why he was so dirty when Will found him, he was always outside.

I think Winston was a chained dog. Then, he finally gets untied from the post he was chained to, and ran. And that's the first time Will found him. Winston didn't go to Will because Winston was going back home.

But when he returned, no one was there. They left without him.

So he goes back to the same road, and Will is there, waiting for him. Winston sees that he nice and has food, and willing goes home with Will.

He sees how different his life with Will is compared to his previous family: he's allowed inside, there are other dogs, cozy sleeping places, etc. Most importantly, Will is a good owner and Winston doesn't want to lose him.

That's why he stays so close to Will.

I've been teaching Belphie not to jump on Pangur, cause she's old and arthritic and doesn't like it. and as part of my "training", I've been giving him a treat every times he stops his evil actions and trots over to me.

I thought I was training him to come when called. in actuality, I've been training him to bite Pangur. so now he'll jump on her, chew her ear, and then make bird-of-prey eye contact with me from across the room. and the worst thing is I'VE ALSO BEEN GIVING PANGUR A TREAT EACH TIME (so she doesn't feel left out). which means that she'll whimper pathetically from Belphie biting her, and then also make intense eye contact with me, because she's been conditioned to expect treats afterward.

I have accidentally made the most fucked up dynamic possible with both of these cats.
