If I had a nickel for every time a MF's character has a poetic dead as the result of their ambition and wrong doing, while wearing a black turtleneck shirt, I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that happened twice. Right?

So last night, I found the original French version of Wild Target and still found the remake to be an amazingly odd film. Honestly, besides a few changes, I can't say one is better than the other. Both were great and ended the same, which was great.
I bring this up because I still think this could be an interesting rumbelle or anyelle AU.
An aging hitman falling in love with the woman he's sent to kill!? Rose reminds me of Lacey, a complete opposite of Belle. Victor could be matched with Weaver or another RC character. Tony, though, would be tough to be like, maybe Bae/Nael, or Gideon, maybe older Henry, or just a random character altogether.
But still, it's such an oddly good movie. The remake is on Amazon Prime and several free apps to watch.

I watched this movie a few years ago when I started to get obsessed with Emily Blunt, and I didn't remember the plot very well, but it made me laugh I knew that for sure. So, I decided to watch it again.
And yes, it is funny, and Emily Blunt is so charming but I knew that already. She had me twirling my hair and kicking my feet. Like.. I would protect her for free.
The first hour of the movie is a masterpiece. It had me laughing out loud, that's not easy.
The third act was a letdown. I remember being kinda shocked that they put Bill Nighy and Emily together because it is established that he is an old man, that was a thing but hey, Emily's character was a free spirit, exactly what he needed, I guess.
It'd have been better if he trained both of them like they were his children.
Also, I saw Gideon's Daughter before this, where Emily played his daughter and I know the movies are 5 years apart but here Emily was 27 years old, and he was 65, playing a character that was 54 years old.
Movies like Oppenheimer are great because of all the praise she is getting, and she'll most likely get her first Oscar nomination but she is so funny I want her in a comedy so bad. A good one tho (Looking at you wild mountain thyme)
I really love this movie. And is this the best someone has looked in a movie?

Weird brain moment that happened to me recently;
I realized just the other day that I watched the original French film 'Wild Target' {Cible émouvante} which is a 1993 film and had a remake back in 2010.
Now I adore the remake it's one of my comfort films and watching the original was an amazing experience because it was almost shot for shot with just minor changes to the story...but during my watch the actress who plays 'Renée' aka Rose in the remake stood out to me and I had no idea why.
Until the other day I decided to check the quality was a movie I got off youtube a while back for a project. 'Wings of Fame' only to realize that the actress 'Marie Trintignant' is also in the movie staring along side Colin Firth and Peter O'toole.
It was a very odd and interesting thing because I struggle to remember things but somehow I remembered this actress from just seeing her face once in a clip from 'Wings of Fame'.
Oddly little stroll through the mind of a person with brain damage and ADHD.

CURIOSITIES 1-Remake of a French movie: Cible émouvante (1993). 2-The plot involves a painting of Rembrandt, a character played by MF in the movie Nightwatching. 3-The character of MF (Hector Dixon), is paired with Peter Guillam of the movie Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011). Impossible not to love the killer/spy dynamic. <3
