What are mimics exactly? I know they're entities that copy other people's voices but I was told they're attracted to fake witches and I'm unsure

more below possibly tw for manipulation

I have paranoia and I suspect my dad may be manipulating me to stop practicing religion (I don't officially associate with any, I do what feels right)

I may be hearing things but he says schizophrenics and similar disorders don't cause you to hear voices of people you personally know

did I bring evil into my house? I'm not the only one hearing things but my sister was diagnosed schizophrenic after he claimed she was hearing mimics too

should I stop practicing?? am I doing something wrong? am I a fake witch?? I don't really call myself a witch but I do like to practice some aspects

I also recently hung a mirror in my room and he told me it'd invite things to watch me sleep bc it faces the bed (reflection can't be seen from the bed no matter where I sit on it) and I haven't really been able to sleep in a few nights because of it

Growing up, my family always told me that Jack-o-lanterns have scary faces to ward off evil or malicious spirits. I don't know if that's true, I haven't looked much into the history of Halloween since I was younger and there's a lot that I've forgotten, but I do remember that I took the time to memorize the Wiccan Reed when I was a Wiccan. There was one Samhain when I was doing a ritual and reciting the Reed before I started. When I got to the "When the winds blow from the west, departed souls will have no rest," part, I thought that maybe putting a Jack-o-lantern with a scary face facing the west of my house might really help ward off anything bad coming through the veil. I never tried it, I sort of forgot about it after, but I just remembered it while decorating for Halloween, so if anyone out there wants to try it to see if you feel or sense any extra protection, please feel free! 🎃🕯👻
