Could you do a megumi x reader where he find out about ur selfh@rm or yk something along those lines... 💕I understand if u won't write smth like this tho
Trust me there isn't anything I wouldn't write for. (Except for illegal age gaps) ANNYYWAYYYS here goes nothing
TW: Self harm, low self esteem and angst.
NOT PROOF READ and obvi mentions of self harm, but not close to death. And for some reason I made a whole polit so...it's really extreme so I might write a toned down version later if that's what u wanted.
Even if you were still a student, even if you were to young to drive or drink, you could understand life. Your life as a Jujutsu high student as a sorcerer was something you never really thought about, you were born different, had something special and you had to put it to use as a sorcerer. The killing of curses never bothered you as you understood it was for the greater good, rather it was how you came to be a sorcerer.
You were born and almost shunned at birth, you grew up in a poor suburb with criminals. You could remember moving out of the house as soon as your parents sent to to Jujutsu high, now your parents were no god sends but they were good when they were sober.
"I wont let Yuji die" You said staring blankly at Megumi.
It was Yuji's first mission and Gojo had entrusted you and Megumi to watch out for him as he did you.
"But there's no chance of him living Y/N his hand is gone and Sukuna ripped out his heart, he isn't going to live-"
"I WONT LET HIM DIE" You screamed exorcising the curse in front of you.
you took in deep breaths as you saw Sukuna laugh and turn back into Yuji, you rushed over and held up his body before it could hit the ground.
"YUJI" You scream trying to shake him
"YUJI COME ON, YUJII" you felt Megumi's had touch your shoulder and try move you away but it was no use, you let him die.
"I'm sorry Yuji. I didn't mean to I swear! I tried but your right, I should have tried harder, after all they would have needed you more then me." You said gliding the pocket knife smoothly down your arm letting the red spill out and onto the floor.
You whinced but immeditaly thought of Yuji and his dearth again
"Your the second one I let down, I keep letting people die, why do I let you die? I have no right to cry for anything other then your death." You said holding back tears.
"Y/N!" You heard a horrified yell. You turn your head only to be met with Megumi rushing over to you.
"I let them die Megumi, I'm a killer. I'm so sorry." You said dropping the pocket knife on the floor.
"I LET THEM DIE MEGUMI! MY BROTHER, YUJI, I LET THEM DIE, I DID" You said face streaming with tears as Megumi grabbed your arm and wrapped his uniform around it so the bleeding would lessen.
"NO YOU DIDN'T" Megumi yelled looking at you.
"No you didn't Y/N" he sighed as you felt your knees weaken and sank to the ground followed by Megumi.
"Megumi, you should help me leave jujutsu tech, I can't be here anymore, i'm just a burden. Don't you all get sick of pretending that i'm not?" you asked hiding your face in your free hand.
"Your not one Y/N. Look i've never told anyone else this but I have an older sister, she's in hospital and I can't save her. I don't think her eyes will ever open again but thats why i'm here, fighting for her, hoping that one day she'll be free of the curse and the world will be bright and safe for her." Megumi said taking ahold of your other hand pulling it away from your face.
"You can't save everyone." He said looking right into your eyes.
"But I could have." You said in defeat your body slumping forward, head into Megumis chest.
Shit how much had you bleed out?
Your blood dropped through his uniform. Without thinking Megumi scooped you up and ran to Shoko. She did her job and fixed you up but you had to stay in the clinic over night while she moniterd your recovery because you never woke up, your body was still in shock of the amount of blood loss.
The while night Megumi held onto your hand next to your bed. You woke up to see his mess hair on you bed.
You squeezed his hand
"I can never forgive myself Megumi, but I can live with myself for now." You whispered.
"Then I'll make you see it's not your fault and never was." Megumi said rising his head groggily.
THANKS FOR READING ♡
AUTHORS NOTE: okay so I may have made the self harm a but extreme but if you ever feel remotely suicidal or depressive reach out and find help, I'm always here, sure I'm just another person in the internet but I'm still a person and have sent with these things multiple times before. Obviously reach for close or professional help first though. Have a good whatever time.

Did I ever tell yall about my mother's habit of sitting me down once a month to have a Serious Developmentally Appropriate and Relevant Conversation? They started when I was about 5, and continued until I was 17 (with some inconsistencies when the two of us were on the outs), and we talked about SO many things. We had the same conversations multiple times at different levels of depth, complexity, and nuance too, which was a really cool way for me to learn what it feels like for knowledge to be inherently cumulative in nature. I feel like that's part of what has made me as curious, as prone towards positive change over time, and as analytical as I typically am.
Anyway, these conversations were all about important life issues. Body health, drugs, sex, relationship dynamics and boundaries, the different ways people harm other people and what it could look like to react to that, racism, gender, war, death, sexuality, capitalism, surbival resource obtainment, sexism, ablism (although I don't know my mother called it this at the time), etc. My mom's general approach to "risky" information with me was essentially "you're going to find out eventually, whether I try to intervene in that or not. I'd rather your first awareness of these things come from me so it's easier for you to recognize when someone is selling you a load of bullshit." My mom and I have a lot of very different ideas of what it should look like to be a parent, but this was absolutely something I think she did right. She was frank and open, she never made me feel like a question or tooic or even certain words were dangerous or "wrong", and she was careful to scale her approach to the conversation in relation to my own emotional and psychological development. I still actually remember a lot of these conversations, tho of course some stand out better than others.
It took a while of me percolating on our conversation about war and intercommunal conflict before I asked her why people fight in wars if they're so awful for everyone involved. She explained a few different reasons, and things that might draw a person to this one or that one, while acknowledging opposing logic where she could.
Then she describes to me the draft. The act of a political entity compelling its own people to put their lives in harm's way for political interests or assets. She explained different ways the draft might work, and different kinds of people who might or might not get drafted. And then, she says,
"Not everyone obeys when they're called up." She watched me very carefully whenever she was using my reactions to gauge her next words. "In fact, several people in our family have refused to be drafted. Some because of their beliefs, some because of their circumstances. A lot of people do. It's called draft dodging."
See, my grandma was born in 1931. She spent most of her and her brothers' childhoods growing up in the place where her father's family had lived since about the 1500s, up in the Virginia Appalachians. But then Pearl Harbor was bombed, the USA joined world war 2, and a draft came up. It'd been calling up so many of the local men who simply. Did not come home. My grandma's parents knew that the family absolutely would not be okay without her father for any significant length of time, let alone forever. Her mother, Josephine, was visibly brown skinned and a first generation orphan immigrant who had already raised her own siblings by the time they'd eloped at 17. It wasn't that she wasn't capable, it was that she didn't have the bandwidth for any new traumas. They didn't trust that she could hold herself together for their kids and her siblings if she lost the one person who made her feel safe. (Ultimately her husband did die young, several decades before Josephine, but after all the children were grown and married. As expected, she did not take it well, and lived with my uncle for the rest of her life grieving)
So when his number came up, he dodged the draft. Sold everything the family had, packed them all into the car, and fled the state. (Apparently a Canadian radio jockey bought the family land back in the 90s and was incredibly frustrated that he couldn't convince the people in town to start calling it after his name instead of my family name lmao) My family was lucky. They had the resources to do this, and to arrange an exemption when they arrived in their new home. Not everyone manages that. And the alternatives can sometimes be a lot more impactful than "just" blowing up your entire life. Jail time, bodily harm, communal rejection, even death. It depends on your circumstances.
And yet people ALWAYS do it. They dodge the draft, or they go AWOL, or they find SOME way to stay out of the war machine. There will ALWAYS be people who choose and prioritize saving lives and denying a war more cannon fodder.
I think about this a lot when I hear about military, militia, or otherwise militarized organizational violence and human rights abuses. I think about the way humans tend to chafe at being denied their autonomy. How in intense hierarchies, people who are belittled by their higher-ups may often lash out at those they are above when they feel a compulsion to re-exert control. I think about the history of asymmetrical warfare, and what we know about what soldiers tend to do in those environments.
And at the end of the day, I think about how when these things happen, when they KEEP happening. Everyone has the choice to refuse. There have always been people who make that choice, even under the worst of consequences.
So what makes the difference between a person who refuses to supply the state with more power to exert violence with, and the person who complies?

Art Style/AU Challenge PT 2: My Hero Academia's Style
Part 1 and Explanation here
I understand now why people hate lineart... thin lines suuuuuck. I don't think I captured the MHA style all that well, and I'm not entirely sure what exactly it's missing, but I hope it's still somewhat recognizable. Also, the names of the Flying Serpent Crew is subject to change in some AUs if I feel it works better with the story I'm telling (I'll put their real names in parenthesis so it's less confusing)
Backstory:
buckle up, this might be a bit wordy, but I tried to make it as brief as possible
Lady Drake: The Dragon Fire Hero
Quirk: Dragon
She has the ability to fly, breath fire, and have super strength, along with the ability to be resistant to fire
Taiba was born in Nigeria and immigrated to America when she was less than a year old with her parents and 3 other siblings. She's very cut off from her native country, and is the only one of her 3 companions that adores her adopted country. Making it a little difficult for her to really connect Bruce (Brosmýr's name in this AU), and Victerico, since their both also immigrants.
She had always wanted to be a pro hero, especially after her quirk appeared. In this AU, I headcannon that America in MHA, the way that you become a pro hero is either by 1. simply passing a test, like for driving or a GED, or 2. going to collage specifically for it, and Taiba went to college. This is were she meets Bruce Ficsher, her future partner and husband.
They both start their own independent company after college, of which I don't have a name for, yet.
Nightingale: The Feathered Lighting Hero
Quirk: Harpy
He can fly, is crazy fast, can control lightning, and can mimic voices and sounds, but only if he's heard them before
Bruce Ficsher was born and raised in Ireland for most of his childhood, but when his father got a job in the states, they moved there when he was a teenager. Due to this, he's still a little bit bitter at his father for forcing him to leave his friends and family to go to a country he barely cares for.
He's pretty down for the 2nd amendment tho.
When he was born, he... very much looked like a baby bird, bulging tired eyes, chicken wings, and all. He did eventually grow out some down feathers, but it didn't really help the teasing from his classmates. That is, of course, until he got a lot bigger than them. He was always referred to as a bit creepy, and being a bit of a loner didn't help.
Bruce wanted to be a hero mostly because of that. He wanted to show that even if he wasn't the most appealing looking hero, he could still do good. That he wasn't condemned to being a villain. That all he ever wanted to do was help those in need.
He was fine just simply talking the Hero's Test and shadowing under a Pro until he could get his full license, but his parents had other plans. So they sent him to college, where he met Taiba.
During their college days, they butted heads a lot. However, forced proximity made them need to start to work together (their powers worked very well together), and they learned that they were a very good team.
They started dating their first year together, and got married before they even finished college.
Captain Serpent: The Water Snake Hero
Quirk: Water Serpent
He has the ability to breath under water, use hydrokinesis, and glide in the air. He, however, can't fly
Victerico left his native country of Spain and when he was in his mid twenties. He is the eldest of the three, being in his early 40s, and is the one that was the most down on his luck.
You see, Viterico came to America on the hope that he could start a new life for himself. A better job, maybe find a wife, and start a family. However, bad break, after terrible luck, after bad timing led to him being homeless and jobless. And would have rather die than live like that, so he became a villain.
Due to his quirk making him look like a sea monster, Victerico decided to hang out in rivers and swamps, lying in wait for people to scare. When he did, they would either run, and hopefully drop something valuable, or he would threaten them until they gave him something valuable. It was awful, but it worked.
After a couple of years of doing this, he was captured by Taiba and Bruce, however, this would turn out to be his big break. For you see, Viterico was the only witness to a murder that had been perpetrated by an infamous serial killer.
He helped Lady Drake (Taiba) and Nightingale (Bruce) finally catch (and sadly kill) the villain, and in turn, the two of them heard his story. They rescued him from prison, on the condition that he become the third member of their agency. Viterico accepted, and after taking the test, and shadowing under the two of them, he became the latest member of the (name pending) Agency.
Main Story:
This is getting long, so I will try to make this brief; their agency ends up in Japan after the appearance of All for One, coming to try and help by their own volition. I imagine that they would want to try and help the students of UA. And with Bruce being a huge language nerd (seriously, if he wasn't gonna be a hero, he would've been a linguist), they were able to get along just fine in Japan. Coming into the main story of MHA after the Provisional Hero License Arc, trying their best to be both protectors of the UA students, and help with the expanding crime after All Might looses his power.

One of many thins that's been bothering me about the show is the constant comparison between Rang's truamatic childhood and other characters'. It's been like that since Season 1, done by both the writers! and the fans and guess what? it is still being a thing even now in the second season!! And honestly that's so upsetting and unfair in all the ways considering the fact that the circumstances were never the same and Rang's tragic life, sufferings and his traumatic experinces were totally different from other characters'.
1- Comparing Rang's trauma to Jia's, saying Rang wasn't as strong as jia even tho they both grew up alone!
True that they both grow up lonely with no parents to take care of them but unlike Lee Rang, Jia was never an unwanted/ unloved child. She had this loving parents that she never gave up on even after 20years since they went missing and their love and memory was enough for her to be strong and keep fighting for them. She wasn't abused by people, beaten to death and abandoned to die while growing up. She was never a despised creature and never felt like she didn't matter or that she didn't belong. She sure never felt betrayed by people she loved and trusted. See? totally different from what Rang went through since before he was even born.
2. And now even comparing Rang's childhood to Yeon's too? Again true that Yeon's childhood weren't all love and rainbows and had this abusive father who would treat him sh*t for his fun but the thing is... even such an irresponsible asshole of a father who didn't care about his own kid never really wanted Yeon dead; didn't call him a monster and didn't treat him like a monster he should get rid of. And he left Yeon's care to Taluipa before disappearing so unlike Rang, Yeon was never really left alone on his own, helpless and defenseless to face the world's cruelty. He had Taluipa and also besties to count on. He was literally raised by powerful gods and as a kid he never felt what it was like to lose his home-like Rang did when villagers burned his home- to kill his friend-like when little Rang had to put blacky out of its misery and it damaged him so bad- and lose his only loved one in the world- Rang losing Yeon as a kid and later nearly dying by his sword- Yeon was not betrayed and abandoned by his loved ones and the most important he's a powerful full gumiho. Rang had a vulnurable human side so ofc he would feel things more intensely than a full gumiho. And the thing is what made Rang finally lash out and go wild on humans was not his shitty mother being cruel to him but the humans who just couldn't let him be. Long after Rang left the village with Yeon he was still this caring innocent child until humans burned his home and wanted to kill them all. So saying that Yeon didn't use his childhood as an excuse to go dark is unfair to Rang's character coz Rang wouldn't either if... only if... humans just let him live his life in peace and not try to kill him any chance they got. Just saying🤷♀️ and mind me remind you of the fact that 1938 Yeon isn't living the best life either. You know?
3. Rang vs imoogi.
Now their childhood have many similarities. both unwanted children, unloved by their parents, treated like monsters by people and left to die by their family.
I would've really liked it if the show had explored the tragic side of imoogi too coz what he went through was horrible and sure it would make fans interested in his story on why he turned out the way he was! but here's what differs his story from Rang's: unlike Rang, Imoogi never knew love. He grew up cold and bitter with no heart. Unlike Rang he never craved love or family. All he ever wanted was power and only power. There was no one who he really cared about. He even betrayed his only friend, the only person who cared about him coz he didn't like to see him happy-compare him to Lee Rang who sacrificed himself for his brother's happiness- Nothing could really hurt imoogi, he had no feelings, no emotion, no weakspot. He had no one to care about and didn't need them either. But Rang was different. He was shown love too. He knew love and so the loss, heartbreak and the feeling of betrayal too. He had a heart. A very soft one. We saw adult Rang couldn't even kick his hungry ghost mother away coz seeing her hurt him, coz probably he still cared. He was a very emotional boy with a lot of wounds but still had his heart no matter what and he gave love so much more than what he got. That's why he'd never end up being an evil like Imoogi. Not bc he had people to save him from his inner monsters. No. Imoogi had one too and he betrayed him. It's bc Rang cared. He always cared. he loved his people and they loved him back. He'd earned their love with his good heart and unlike imoogi he'd rather die than losing them and that's what makes his story different. Bc he loved even so much more than he was loved and that's his strength. If anything he's been so strong, struggling for hundreds of years alone and surviving the unkind world that had nothing for him but endless pain, loneliness and nothingness. All of it while he was just a broken lonely boy ignored by his loved ones and hated by the world who he really never felt like belong to and yet he still kept his heart and love and at the end he was the one who suffered to give everyone a happy ending at the expense of his own life and happiness! Lee Rang, The one who suffered the most... and deserved happiness more than anyone but never got it! Words can not explain how unjust, unfair and cruel that ending was! He deserved so much better.
#I don't think I'm finished yet#like this is so unfair#baby fox just went through so much#and suffered his whole life#he deserved so much better#and deserved his happy ending with his family#lets protect baby fox at all costs#lee rang deserved better#baby fox#lee rang#Yi Rang#gumiho#the tale of a gumiho#tale of the nine tailed 1938#tale of the nine tailed#totnt 1938#totnt#lee yeon#imoogi#nam ji ah#tvn#kdrama

is there something you've got that you've worked really hard on and loved, but not really been able to share extensively, in Jack's world? yes this is an invitation to talk about it.
god theres so fuckin much
the second version of the lore doc is 104 pages long at present and this 3rd edition is gonna be AT LEAST that and some change
i have pages upon pages of weird stuff i've written down and mulled over and will never ever use bc i have no idea how to incorporate it into anything yet
like the-end-of-everything
ok so i gotta put this under the cut due to length and religious stuff and Theseus Hare spoilers
so the-end-of-everything is
a lot?
She's almost As Much as Jack
She's the personified Ending of Jack's Narrative, the Jabberwocky from Alice in Wonderland, the angel Lucifer, The Green Sun from Homestuck, Nidhogg from Norse mythology, Mr Eaten from Fallen London and a million billion other things
She exists currently as a weird dream ghost that has attached Herself to Jack to the point where he dreams about Her every night no matter what.
The same dream, every single night for as long as he can remember
In one of his earlier iterations on this blog, he had his ability to dream SURGICALLY REMOVED (don't ask me how he did it, he just did it, it was hard) and She still showed up every night like normal
You see, their fates are tied together. Jack is the Protagonist, and She the Antagonist, as well as the Ending to his story.
Her in universe lore is fucking WILD and i'm probably not gonna do much of anything with it on the blog for Reasons.
In universe She was made to be Fairyland's original captive star, but She was Too Much on many levels to the point where Her creators had Her lobotomized in hopes that would calm Her down. It did not, She eventually escaped and fucked off into deep space, where She met God (yes that God) and fell in love.
He made Her his favorite angel and named Her Lucifer. And then the shit in Eden happened and She got kicked out of heaven
She swore revenge against God for abandoning Her and when She tried to take that revenge She was torn apart and devoured by... something.
In older drafts it with other deities, im not sure about now tho, but Her leftovers were shoved into a well/hole/pit at the bottom of the universe where nobody could ever find them, Her True Name erased from all history and record. (Hence why we know Her as the Nameless Thing)
She wasn't dead though, not completely anyway. She found Her way into the world of dreams and spoke to people through them, She amassed followers and made plans.
And then a child was Born
Alice was born, many Alices in fact. Each born and grown and groomed for war and lost and lost and lost because they were not the right Alice to slay the Jabberwocky
Jack is supposed to be the Right Alice, Alice is actually his deadname and why his VTM alt is Named That. Jack is supposed to slay the Jabberwocky for good with the Vorpal sword and lock Her away inside of himself forever and always
See, Lucifer does not want that at all, She wants to find Her Name and pull Herself back together so She can kill God for what he did and then devour the multiverse bc everyone let God Do That to Her so they very much should all die about it.
THE THING IS
Outside of the in universe lore, She doesn't HAVE a fucking Name to find. The Writer never gave Her one, She was never supposed to win or leave or anything, and even if She was the Narrative is unfinished and abandoned so She's stuck in here with the rest of those virgins until She figures out a way to Fix That.
Also Lucifer and the elder god thing inside of Vorpal have major beef, they had beef before Vorpal died and became a bone sword. I'm 90% certain Luci is why Vorpal fuckin died but i might change that later. Vorpal was made exclusively to kill the Jabberwocky and other divine entities so if they didn't have beef before they sure do now???
ANYWAY
I wanna do so much with Her but i can't cuz writer's block has hands, I'm a coward, and vivzieverse made characters based on biblical figures Weird and Kinda Uncomfortable but The-End-Of_Everything is my fucking BABY and i can't wait for you to meet Her, also she looks like this in jack's nightmares:
art by @/pencilbrony my befriended

ok first of all this will be scattered because i didn't write any notes this is just free form, i am not god's strongest soldier. i only cried a few times which is very impressive considering i cry at everything so i'm back to being god's strongest soldier. so much happened in this show it's shocking. things just keep going on. la is literally the most dangerous place on earth they need to move IMMEDIATELY. why is angela bassett in this. what did her agent tell her to convince her to do this. this isn't a complaint btw this is the greatest project she's ever done. thank you angela's agent we all say in unison. it's so campy, died in 2023 born in 2018 welcome back riverdale. no i won't elaborate. ok ummm characters. it was an uphill battle to not have maddie as my favorite character because jennifer is my girl we're like this 🤞 and maddie is the name of my childhood bff. and baby we never reached the top of that hill MADDIE SUPREMACY 🫶🫶🫶. that's my bestie, that's my boo bear, that's mother right there. love you girlfriend forever and ever amen. eddie diaz my beautiful princess with a disorder. need to study this dude immediately. first of all .... ****** and that's all i have to say about that. has he done things wrong? yes all the time including right now. do i care? well he's my beautiful princess with a disorder i don't know what to tell you. his kid should definitely be mad at him tho baby what were you thinking with that one? nothing ☺️🫶 love you chris come home soon pls. chim THE PEOPLE'S PRINCESS. never done a thing wrong except almost die literally all the time but that's ok we love him anyways. nobody's perfect but he's close love you bestie 💜💜💜. buck is a princess who should just sit there and look pretty and not do anything that will put him in the hospital. don't worry about anything babygirl we'll figure it out for you. we're also gonna get you away from "tommy" (unbelievable that's his actual name, a grown ass man) i do not like him at all. oooooo you've been bi for like 20 minutes but you gotta come out immediately or i'm gonna throw a fit I HAVE A GUN AND IT'S LOADED. i'm sorry but i'm throwing him into oncoming traffic as soon as possible live laugh love. and he's not having a funeral. love you buck, you shall be free soon 🫶. bobby and athena best couple of all time I KNOW THAT'S RIGHT. that's ohana right there. they mean a lot to me ok. hen literally mother.com she's my girl except when she cheated on my lesbian queen karen but i'm pretending she didn't do that because i don't think she would!!! i know her better than the writers. remember a long time ago when i said you should get a free pass to forget exactly one bad thing your favorite character did to preserve your sanity? well here we are. i didn't see shit. hen and chim friendship supremacy btw. a great show, nothing makes sense and i'd like to keep it that way. they just landed a plane with the power of friendship, love, and autism. hopes for this season are that things continue to be insane, hen and karen get their kid back, and eddie too i guess. love his little crisis mustache going on i'm sorry but this is your fault you weird little man. and tommy dies of course. in god we trust. there i probably missed 80% of what i wanted to say and also emotionally i can't think about certain scenes i'll need several month to heal 😐 whatever it's chill. thanks for reading if you did, i'm probably just talking to myself right now heyyy kallie how's it going??? pretty good thank you bestie!!!!

hehehehehehehhe <— me cackling evilly while rubbing my hands together
sirius pls for the ask game<3
oh so you want me to yap
How I feel about this character
.... say it with me: INSANE ABOUT SIRIUS. have been thinking about sirius since i was a small child and i just never stopped??? attached myself to him like a stray dog and i cant let go. very very very normal as you can see. ill be thinking about sirius for the rest of my life i fear. sirius is just so complex and i want to root around in his head for hours. i could find something new every time i do. also no matter what fic i am writing i am inside of sirius' head it might not be his pov but i am in there and know how he would react to everything.
and like. there's so much there!!! his family the prank the marauders harry azkaban like the possibilities are endless. and because of all of the previous pieces (and more) or any combination of them like thats one fucked up little guy and it only makes me love sirius more
they are in my pocket and will be there for the rest of time
All the people I ship romantically with this character
the obvious, remus. can't go wrong there. put them in any situation and it will work. literally any.
and heres the thing, i don't actively read or seek out any other sirius ships but like... now that im being asked.... i could be convinced of others. give me a good and compelling story and i could be interested. some that fit in this category are: james, lily, wolfstarbucks, peter, kingsley, marlene. have i read most of those? no i have not, but if someone im friends with wrote any of them yeah id give it a shot. nothing replaces wolfstar tho nothing can
My non-romantic OTP for this character
regulus. i think thats obvious (<- guy who has never shut up about the black brothers) whether they are close and have a good relationship or havent spoken in a decade im gonna love it. they love each other more than anything else and soemtimes that drives them apart but sometimes it doesnt and god i will explode if i think about them for too logn it causes me phsyical pain
also the rest of the black family. in order of how insane they make me after regulus: bellatrix (she literally killed him what do you want me to say), andromeda, narcissa, walburga, everyone else
outside of the family though, james and lily. easy.
My unpopular opinion about this character
sirius can do no wrong. idc!!!!!!!!! hes never done a single thing wrong in his life. like yeah hes stupid sometiems but thats my stupid guy :( hes trying his best hes fucked up and has been since he was born its not his fault
also just like why is there discourse about his appearance. i dont see characters in my head but like idc if hes tall or not or if theyre whatever gender. sirius is hot and also a little guy.
also also he's smart. really fucking smart. he just doesnt always care so it comes off like hes not. and like he wants it to seem like hes cool and has his shit together but he is losing his mind all the time
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
that he and regulus got to reunite :( or that he didn't die. that would be lovely. or if you know his name was cleared and he got to actually take harry in like he wanted to that would be so so cool for everyone involved

Some stuff about my "Haunted Michael AU" Part 2: The Aftons and Emilys
More about the AU uwu
William Marcus Afton (1948 - 1994)
Born in London to a neglectful family
Has a younger sister
His mother died two years after his little sister was born
Moved to Utah when he was 17 years old with his father and sister
Met Henry in university
Met his first wife at age 19
Had Michael at age 21
His first wife died three years after Michael's birth
His sister married Henry
Married his second wife at age 25
He didn't care for Michael, because he had him at a young age and "a child would put a threat to his plans for life"
Same with Elizabeth, but he actually cared a little about her
He adored Evan, he was his pride and joy (he was still a little neglectful to him tho...)
Opened Fredbears in 1980
He was a neglectful dad as well, that's why he didn't say anything to Michael about bullying Evan. He tought that Evan would eventually "man up" and stand for himself...he didn't.
When the bite of '83 happened he was livid
He was pissed at Michael, that was the first of many many times he would raise his hands against Mike.
When he killed Charlie, his target was actually Sammy (if William couldn't have his little boy then Henry couldn't either), it just so happened that Charlie was outside the restaurant and he took that chance.
When he noticed the puppet acting weird he realized Charlie´s spirit must have being doing something to it (that's how he discovered remnant)
Thought that if he could get more remnant, he could bring Evan back, so he built Baby and the funtimes.
When Elizabeth got yoinked by Baby he finally snapped, he couldn't bear to look at the funtimes, especially Baby.
The day of the MCI he was angry at all those kids enjoying the party, when he spotted Susie. He wasn't taking remnant for Evan or Elizabeth anymore, he wanted to be immortal.
When he sent Michael to Circus Baby's he knew damn well that he was sending him to his certain death.
He went to the abandoned Freddy's to see if he could get more remnant infused parts to become immortal.
Got springlocked at age 46 (hahah, get springballed peepaw)
Little detail, he didn't put on the suit out of fear of ghosts (since all ghosts were with Michael), he saw the spring bonnie suit, put it on just to rejoice in the "memories" and since the building was leaking and the suit had been rotting there for ages without any maintenance at all, the suit failed and killed William
The rest of the story is the same
Isabella Marie Afton Emily (1950 - 2030)
William was overprotective of her
Met Henry at a university party and fell in love with him instantly
She was 27 when Sammy and Charlie were born
Loved her children a lot
Also loved her nephews and niece a lot
Supported William after Evan passed away
Was completely devastated when Charlie was killed
Divorced Henry and left the country, taking Sammy with her
Raised Sammy on her own after moving back to London
Died of old age 5 years before security breach happens, she was 80 years old
Henry Emily (1950- 2024) 74
Was born and raised in Utah
Fredbears used to be his dad's old pizzeria that he inherited and then rebranded to be Fredbears
Was a doting father and loved Charlie and Sammy to the moon and back
Was absolutely devastated by Charlie's death, blamed himself for not being there to save her.
His wife divorcing him and taking Sammy with her only made his depression worse
He was framed for the MCI and ended up going to prison for 30 years.
When he saw Michael for the first time after getting out of prison he felt bad for how life had treated him
His plan to burn FFPP was not only because he wanted to end William's reign of terror and free Elizabeth and Charlie but also because he didn't want to live anymore. (He didn't care if Michael didn't want to die, he wanted to end it ALL)
Lucía Torres Afton (1948 - 1972)
Michael's mom
She was born in México, but had started living in Utah two years before meeting William
Met William at age 19 on a park and fell for him instantly
Had Michael at age 21
Loved his baby boy so much
Taught Mike a little bit of spanish
Would sing him lullabies in spanish
Was in a car accident at age 24 and died, leaving William to raise Michael alone
Margareth Scmidth Afton (Born 1952)
Born in California
Met William (and Michael) on a dance festival Isabella forced her brother to attend
Started dating him soon after and married just one year after meeting him
Really tried to be a good mom to Mike
Had Elizabeth at age 23
Had Evan at age 25
Discovered Michael's love for art when she found a bunch of doodles he made and tried to strike friendly conversations about them with him
Chided Michael a lot about bullying Evan, but never raised a hand against him
When Evan died she was devastated, but never blamed Michael
Couldn't even bear to look at Evan's room after his death
Elizabeth's "disappearance" (William told her she disappeared, didn't tell her she actually died) completely destroyed her.
After the MCI happened she started suspecting William had some involvement in it
She started getting really scared of him and filed for divorce
Tried to gain custody over Michael but lost the case.
Left Utah, never to be seen again
Charlotte Emily (1977 - 1984)
Sweet baby girl
Michael, Elizabeth and Evan's cousin
Sammy's twin sister
William killed her on the day of her 7th birthday
The kids that left her outside of Freddy's were the same kids that bullied Evan and caused the bite of '83
She defended Evan when Michael bullied him
Felt a grudge towards Henry for not saving her from William
Joins Michael after the bite of '87, worried that he would do something harsh after what happened to Jeremy
She is the one who convinces Evan to join Michael
Recoiled in horror when she saw Springtrap
In the end she forgives Henry for not saving her when he burns FFPP
Charlie IS in the pizzaplex, just not posessing any animatronic, she is IN THE WHOLE BUILDING
Samuel Emily (Born 1977)
Charlie's twin brother
He was William's original target, but was in his father's office when Charlie got locked out of Freddy's
Didn't really get an explanation from anyone about what had happened to his sister
Didn't want to leave his father but had no choice
After FFPP burned he was the only succesor to the original owners of Freddy's and became the CEO of Fazbear
Evan Christopher Afton (1977 - 1983)
Inocent baby
Was really spoiled by William and Margareth (making Michael angry with him)
Liked to hang out with Elizabeth and the Emily twins
The Fredbear plush was a gift from William (William installed a camera and a walkie-talkie inside and told Evan that this Fredbear was "special" and that "he can talk")
Evan, being a small child, believed it all
Evan's Foxy plush (the one with the ripped head) was Michael's
Evan actually looked up to Michael, despite the bullying, he thought that his big brother was "cool" and "tough"
The bite of Fredbear happened during his 6th birthday
He was scared of the endoskeletons, not the suits
Also because of his nightmares (fueled mainly by Michael and his friends scaring him with the masks)
Held a grudge towards Mike for a while (for the bite)
He didn't want to join Mike, but Charlie insisted
When Evan saw that Michael was actually trying to fix William's deeds and save everyone, he forgave him
Felt horrible when he saw just how many lives William ruined (he even felt guilty about it)
When he saw Springtrap he thought he was going to faint (even if ghosts can't actually faint...)
When FFPP burned he was waiting for Mike to go through the light together
Also I do not believe in the "Gregory is CC theory. I actually headcanon that Evan returns to the pizzaplex in the form of the Daycare attendant...well, mainly Sun
Elizabeth Giselle Afton (1975 - 1984)
Extremely spoiled by her mother
Loved to dance, the best dancer in the whole family (after Margareth ofc)
Would punch Michael if she saw him being mean to Evan
Hated Michael with a passion after Evan's death
She would call him murderer and horrible brother
She was 9 years old when she got yoinked by Baby
Felt guilty about what happened with Mike and the scooper
Screamed of pure horror after seeing Springtrap
Michael James Afton (1969- 1986?)
Born in Utah
William and his mom had to marry when he was born
He didn't hate Evan, he was just frustrated that he was forced to babysit him and Liz whenever his parents were busy (Which was really often)
He actually loved them both a lot but was waay too prideful to show it
He didn't mean to hurt Evan in any way with his prank
He almost fainted after hearing the *CRUNCH* and seeing Evan go limp
Stayed by Evan's side the whole time at the hospital after the bite, apologized countless times and begged Evan to just wake up
Was in the hospital room when he flatlined
Started having nightmares about animatronics after that
Took Evan's little Fredbear plushie as a memento
Ran away from home at age 16
Stayed at Henry's for some time
He didn't want to go to Circus Baby's but got coerced by William, who used Evan's death as leverage against him
The first time he heard Baby's voice he almost had a stroke
He really believed he could free his baby sister and the other kids easily
The last thing he remembers before dying is the scooper ramming through his stomach and seeing his organs and pieces of broken ribs escape his body
Doesn't remember most of the time Ennard used him as a skinsuit, his conscience was coming and going
After Ennard left his body and he woke up, all he could think of was "Revenge Against Father" and "Save those poor kids"
At 1987 he got a job at Fnaf2's location, thats when Charlie's spirit recognized him and joined him.
He was...extremely unsettled about his cousin's ghost just floating around him and talking to him so calmly
The "Odor" thing IS for being literally a corpse, also for nervous sweating
Felt so defeated after finding out William was behind yet another dead children incident (There's the MCI in 1985 and the DCI in 1987)
Also was devastated about Jeremy getting bitten
Got the security job at Fnaf1's location in 1993
That's when the MCI + Evan joined him
Shortly after getting fired, Elizabeth's spirit joined him, after she had a fight against the other spirits inside Ennard
Poor guy is literally being followed by 8 dead kids...at least Evan doesn't resent him anymore...?
At Fazbears Fright he was disgusted at just how his father ended
Released the MCI minus Cassidy when he burned Fnaf 3's location
Opened FFPP with Henry knowing damn well he would burn as well
Held hands with Evan and Liz as they walked towards the light
But then he wakes up and he's in the pizzaplex like, what the hell...?
When he sees Gregory his dad instincts kick in, he goes into "Dad Mode", he knows Gregory is not Evan, but he looks just like him and hes a big softie (He also knows that, if he's back, something went clearly wrong)
Annnnnd that's about it, I might make more parts for other minor characters (like mah boi Jeremy)

Let me be completely honest with you. The only reason why I have a need to finish this game right now is because it would feel awful to start Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth without finishing the Remaster of Final Fantasy 8.
(And yes, in case I have not mentioned that before... I am ashamed to admit it, but I preordered FF7R(2) even tho I still to this day, hate FF7Rs guts. BUT - among other things - now that I have started that journey, I may as well go through with it till the very end. And if that means complaining through all 3 games that they suck then that is still an interesting way to play a game XD I might also add... I bought a PS5 just for FF16 and now its standing here and has not been used in months and there is hardly any game out there right now that I would want for the PS5 so... I might as well get al least FF7R(2) so the PS5 doesn't stand here for nothing ^^' IF I get the thing to work where I can play the game on my Computer via the might of the internet, I will do a live reaction for it. So you will have complain about this game live and in colors XD ALSO anyone in the mood of a prediction game? I say we do NOT get a Kiss in THAT scene and I dare to say Aerith will not die the way she should - not saying she is not dying at all tho. Anyone on the Tifa dies instead bandwagon? I mean, seriously... what if Clouds choice of who he is going to the Golden Saucer (or whatever it is called) with will end up deciding who is going to die? BUT what if Nomura as twisted as he is decided he sacrifice the one Cloud is dating in that playthrough and lets the other one live? I would not put it past him or this game to do that XD)
ANYWAY... lets get back to FF8. We have a Shumi to kill.
What kind of question is that? I was ordered to see the master - as you were I presume - so I am going to see him? And... you know... while I am at it... maybe... save the Headmaster? I am serious, why that question? Okay, sie was searching for the headmaster instead but still... it was a weird question. I mean... could they not come up with a better way to stop him in his tracks like: "Oh, you are here too? Do you search for the headmaster as well?" or something. But I guess I am just nitpicking here.
Its not like Cid didn't use us for this ridiculous "free Timber'" - mission too.
Here comes the big plottwist. The first one, that is.
Talking Squall out of his melancholy is actually Rinoas Job, but since I don't like her or the ship, I didn't bring her. Second in line for this scene would be Xell. So... yeah... I couldn't bring him either, even tho I do like him a lot. So third is finally Quistis, which I think is pretty hard, given how she was always there for Squall so far, even tho he never treated her nicely. But... not you see why I brought Irving along ^^'
Can I just leave without talking to her? XD
Pfff. I did it. *lol*
So... this is a pacifist city... but we get weapon-stuff here? ^^' ()Also... why is "Eyes on me" playing in the background? (The ball-version.)
I know its a JRPG thing to put people in leading positions without their consent but... Squall really has it rough ^^'
You can really not blame this boy for his abandonment issues. His father was never there (and likely never will be, because Laguna and Squall both suck when it comes to dealing with emotions and relationships XD) and so he didn't even know he had one until he was almost an adult. His mother died when he was born. Ellone, his sister-figure, was suddenly gone too. And he was stuck in an orphanage with crazy guys like Xell and Quistis and Seifer of all people ^^' Even tho he can not remember anything, his trauma is there.
I will repeat this a few more times in the future... but I will never understand how this ship ever actually happened.
I thought it nice that after all this time, we finally got an explanation to why Irvin was so dead set on Selphie from the start.
Here comes the next big plot twist by the way. We have all (Rinoa aside) been in the same orphanage! But... we can not remember? Why? Wait for the next big plottwist!
You know... I wonder how it must have felt for her, walking past Squall and the other but they were not remembering her at all. Must have been sad.
Since Squall is Lagunas and Rains lovechild... it kind of makes sense that there was a special connection between him and Ellone.
And here is our next plot twist! We use GF and that is why we have slowly but surely forgotten our past. OBVIOUSLY that plot twist has A LOT of holes in it tho. Like the fact that Squall, Seifer and Quistis would have needed to start out using GFs at rougly the same time, because otherwise they would have kept reminding each other of their past. Plus, as Xell was adopted and not mentioned by Quistis when she talked about entering the garden at the age of 10, he likely has entered the garden later and thus must have used GFs later so... he should still have remembered the other then and if Irving can kickstart their memories, why not Xell too?
Oh look! Another bombshell! I know all the secrets and I am still already exhausted XD

God there was a wol qotd thing i saw on twitter that I can't find anymore I've been thinking about that was something like: 'What’s the weirdest part of your WoL’s lore that you don't want to rewrite?' or something like that and it just makes me think of Mimikk's whole deal.
Vris's backstory is p straightforward, captured in Dalmasca when it fell and ended up in Garlemald, eventually escaped to Kugane then ended up in Limsa by stowing away on a ship which kickstarts ARR.
But Mimikk tho, Mimikk was originally Just A Miner from Tomra on the First. She was just Some Guy who intended to stay like that until the day she died bc she was happy and content with where she was in life, with her people in Kholusia and largely hidden from the rest of the world just like their helmets hide their faces. It was all she knew and she was fine with that fact.
But then she caught stoneblight and was put in the blightwarrens with the rest of her fellow dwarves and was p much expected to turn to stone and die down there with the rest of them. I think at some point she sort of accepted this fate up until Lamitt returned with a cure and then was exiled for it bc she went against tradition. Suddenly all that "tradition" Mimikk had been born and raised with didn't feel right. It felt cold and cruel and maybe even controlling, in her eyes. So she left the only place she ever knew with the rest of the stoneblighted dwarves.
So then there she was, in exile from all she knew with her only skill she can really put to use being mining. She went from lakeland to il mheg to raktika to try and find her calling before finally finding herself in amh areng. She found the mining town of twine and she realized she could settle there. She could even use some dwarven tricks up her sleeve to make the work get done faster.
And she was happy there! She liked the work, it was familiar and comforting even though the tunnels felt impossibly large to her at times.
Then the flood happened and instead of dying she wakes up in la noscea, in Eorzea. An entirely different world. But she's not even sure herself, at first. Maybe this is all just some dream, maybe she's actually still in voeburt and the pixies are playing some sort of prank.
Eventually she gets found and helped to limsa lominsa proper, says that she doesn't remember how she got here, and doesn't have any family she can recall. A lie that's easy for her to say, so much so that she surprises herself with how quickly and easily it flies from her lips. In the back of her mind she knows why.
She can never tell anyone bc who would believe her tale of another world so similar to this one, much less that she was from that world.
#i just have a lot of feelings over my lala#and to think she started out as joke character to level alongside friends playing for the first time#now she has arguably more lore than vris#savvy rants#savvy plays ffxiv#long post but its mostly just me rambling about ocs#the brainrot is in fact v real

Next video is out and I'm somehow even more concerned where this is all going.
•The whole City being Homunculi and having replaced their original counterparts during the Blank Week is all but confirmed now. And they actually do die when they're exposed to sunlight long enough was true as well, and as the cherry on top they go absolutely beserk too. So Lil' Mac created that rain cloud machine so that doesn't happen a second time. And it's probably also why he's bringing in criminals from the outside so he doesn't have to feel guilty about using them as food for his city. As much as I love dunking on Makoto (even tho I love him) he was put in a pretty difficult predicament as to what to do in this kind of tragedy if that really is his motive for everything. It's either kill criminals or let innocent people be killed. If he truly loves his city as much as he says he does, then it makes sense why he'd be doing all of this (if him shutting down Project:Homunculus and getting rid of Yomi is anything to go off of). He's a prick and I will never forgive him if he truly did kill Halara, Vivia, Fubuki and Desuhiko (which he didn't and I will cling to that for dear life) and actually did killed Yakou, but I get his end goal here. Not entirely, because I don't understand why he's antagonizing Yuma the way he is. He wanted to trigger him going to the Mystery Labyrinth, but why? He knows the true culprit will die if Yuma actually beats it. The target Mystery is the mass of corpses in the factory refrigerator, which is a feat he couldn't possibly have done on his own. Number One was in on it. The WDO was in on it. How many people will even die this time and what effect will it have? Will it kill all the corrupt figures in power and have a more positive impact on the world? Will it end with Kanai in ruin? What the heck does he want Yuma to do? And that's if Yuma actually succeeds in reaping the culprit's (or culprits') soul(s) and doesn't end up trapped in the Labyrinth.
•Makoto remained unaffected by the timestop because he made us hold his hand helping him across (so dramatically lazy but wicked smart). Which means that we activated Coelescence, aka Lil' Mac has a Forte of some kind, right? If he's a homunculus based off of Number One (which is where the game is going I think) then was he born with the same abilities as him? And if he's a perfected Homunculus, then that son comment makes more sense than if it were the other way around. I retract my earlier statement and stand more on the side of Makoto being the Homunculus after all.
•I wonder why the Mystery Phantom we encounter is Yuma (or is stated to be him tbh if it hadn’t been explicibly said, his sprite and the voice I wouldn't have reconized him). This isn't the first time Yuma has stood in the way of truth. We see him struggling with this in Chapter 4. The difference is that we see that play out in the form of the Mystery Labyrinth itself. It made us go in circles and fought us at every turn as a reflection of Yuma's subconsious reluctants to face the reality of the situation. But we never got a Phantom of him before. And it's even weirder considering said Phantom looks like the mysterious figure we've seen run away from us in Kanai Ward. It's pretty obviously hinting at something considering the game calls it out and it stands out in the chapter literally all about clones, but I really don't like the implications of that. I could be Makoto in disguise like with Yomi actually being Yakou in Chapter 4, but if that's the case where is he leading us then? And why was he laughing like that after Yuma cut down his arguments claiming the residents couldn't have been swapped? Shinigami seems to have realized something and considering that she's so desperately dismissive of it, it doesn't look good.
•Speaking of Shinigami, I'm going to miss her. I've been Team Shinigami (and Kokohead) since day one and I knew her character development was coming-- and it did and it was great, but she's going back in the book after the dust settles on these events and I'll be really sad when that happens. And too see how far their relationship has come, to Shinigami being more openly kind and compassionate to Yuma showing her genuine comradere and affection, was really nice. Man, I really hope the other detectives are ok, which they most likely are (delulu), because if not Yuma will truly have nobody left. Please, Kodaka. He already lost Yakou and will lose Shinigami and most probably Kurumi, at least let him keep the other four members of his found family (there's no crosses on their portraits if Martina can sverve her way out of that they can too).
•And to end off: This Mystery Labyrinth looks cool as hell. The fact that it's literally just Kanai Ward and we're wandering through Yuma's memories of each case, following in his old footsteps as he made his way through cases was without a doubt the best decision the developers could've made in regards to the final Labyrinth. You can just feel we're at the endgame and everything we've encountered up until that point is coming full circle and it's amazing.
#master detective archives: rain code#master detective archives spoilers#momento rambles#i can't wait to finish this game it's absolutely amazing#to think I was actually kinda concerned about it not living to expectations#it literally blew said expectations straight out of the water

The "lipochrome, recessive" thing drives me NUTS because that is a real eye color! That's an eye color real people right now have. About 5% of the world's population have amber eyes, eyes that appear to be golden, yellow, or copper in color, pigmented by lipochrome.
So I guess Cytherea assumed the yellow was John's natural eye color, after she saw his daughter had inherited it. It wouldn't be weird for Wake to be a carrier for the phenotype while having darker eyes herself, since it's a recessive trait. Like John must be a carrier for red hair, for Gideon to have inherited that from Wake. Meanwhile we now know something Cytherea doesn't: the yellow isn't natural lipochromatic pigment at all, it's magical girl bullshit! So it's entirely probable the eyes came with whatever power made little baby Gideon not die when she was killed, and Cytherea used the wrong equation to get the right answer.
I would LOVE to confirm if Babs' eyes changed color too. Unlike John, Ianthe didn't put any of herself into her cavalier. She just slurped Babs' soul up and swallowed it whole. So would the eye color be a two-way swap for that kind of lyctorhood? If Harrow hadn't been able to save Gideon, would the dull clouded eyes on Gideon's corpse have been black or gold?
Swerving away from the eye color thing for a minute, there is a lot to explore in that last paragraph of your first reply!
First off, I'm not sure if we have enough information to conclude that all lyctors are sterile. It'd make sense if lyctorhood fucked with reproduction, since necromancy sure does, but we don't really know why all of Mercy's eggs died. It could be that lyctors are reproductively incompatible with John specifically; or it could be just be something to do with Mercymorn, and not her lyctorhood. Totally a good theory, and I think you may be right, but more research needed before Pyrrha and/or Paul can start counting on lyctorhood as birth control.
As to the lyctors having had tons of children before they ascended: I suppose it's possible, but I doubt it. No House other than the Ninth has been established as tracing their genetic lineage back to a founding ancestor, and I have trouble imagining that of Mercymorn or Gideon the First. Totally see where you're getting the correlation between lyctor and House, with Ninth eyes and Cytherea saying that "the Seventh House is awfully predictable for looks," but Cytherea didn't found the Seventh. She was born there, meaning she had family there. She doesn't need to have personally contributed anything to that gene pool for a passable look-alike to pop up millenia later.
I'm kind of hesitant about assuming all the Houses have distinctive phenotypes. It's been implied some other stereotypes exist in the setting, like Silas wondering if Gideon's mother had been Third because of their hair, but Silas was being a creep when he said that, and he was wrong besides. It's not the kind of world building I want to lean into. Protesilaus and Dulcinea look nothing alike, despite what Cytherea said, and the necrocav pairs that do look alike also tend to be fairly closely related and thus not a good measure for the House as a whole. Our sample size is small, our standard deviation is high, ect.
Some of the disciples having had children, tho, whose descendants they watched live and die through generations? That is a fascinating idea, and I'd love to explore it. Would their descendants know? If yes, do the other Houses have heroes they claim are descended from lyctors? Were Anastasia's children still young when she built the Tomb, or was she already the grandmother of the Ninth, ancestor of her people? John kept his disciples young and immortal for centuries, but only if they stayed close to him. Was Anastasia having a family part of the original push for an independent lyctorhood?
in the ntn epilogue, tazmuir specifically calls out that harrow is back to being black-eyed. do you think that means that alecto ate/absorbed the part of gideon that harrow tried not to eat?
Nope! The part of Gideon that Harrow tried (and succeeded!) not to eat is calling Alecto a slut from opposite shore!
Harrow's eyes were black when she left her body for the River, and they're still black now. Nothing's changed there. What makes the difference between the end of HtN and the end of NtN is that Alecto swapped herself out for Gideon months ago, so Gideon's not there to be endangered by Harrow's returning.

More thoughts on How (cont)
The brothers are hoarders. They need a house maid, lol But also seems to me they kept the house just the way they kept ambrose, Frozen in time.
Wondering why there are so many what seems to be porcelain masks in Victor's office, and not wax ones.
Also why did Vince wear a wax mask instead of a more durable one like the ones in his dad's office?
Bo: he was so devastated he couldn't save her"
We then see I'm the office a bunch of surgical tools next to the bed Trudy was strapped into like I said, everything in ambrose seems to be frozen in time.
Victor was the one who separated the twins; literally what got him to get his license revoked, why he moved to ambrose in the first place; he practiced unorthodox methods.
Trudy had a cyst in her brain...yeah put two and two together, it's clear victor tried to remove said cyst, but it only ended up costing her life.
If Victor hadn't brought his family to ambrose, The people who the brothers killed from town would've lived.
I noticed that the sticker people need to put on their car each year with the date and month (the marbete?) On Bo's car is up to date, and I'm guessing he renewed his license as well to keep from drawing attention to cops since he was literally getting away with murder.
Not only does Vincent like to wear warm sweaters, but he also has scarfs. He's a very cold man (*Snickers* 🤭)but for real how is that possible? He's in a warm cozy room all the time. Is he anemic? Cause I get it if that's the case, cause I'm prone to it as well, and I get cold super easy.
Vincent paralyzes his victims, I wonder what he uses, my guess is he somehow learned how to make a neurotoxin since they don't have the money to get a lot of medical things.
He also knows how to stitch up bodies very well, it reminds me of the way the creeper In jeepers creepers sowed his victims together.
Why was Trudy so OLD in the coffin?? Her head was intact; which contradicts my theory of Victor killing her trying to save her... although maybe she didn't die right away and it was more like a lobatomy type of Surgery he did on her. Vincent could've simply covered her scar with wax. But that doesn't answer the question tho. She died when the boys were young, she wasn't that old when they were born, so it's impossible for her to have aged THAT much.
Louisiana is apparently HOT very much like where I live, so HOWCOME THE WAX DOESN'T MELT IN THE SUN? WHATS THE SECRET? Cause clearly it melts in the fire at the end.
Just like my question about trudy making the house or wax to be completely wax, How did Bo and Vince rig the WHOLE town?
I feel like Vincent driving the blade into Blake was a bit of a mercy kill gesture, especially since what happened with wade, like, Vince could've just let Blake suffer till he finally died while he went after Paige, but no, he finished him off instead for some reason.
I really enjoy how the way Jaume used the camera angles to make ambrose seem bigger than it physically is. The set wasn't that large and it's noticeable, but when you're watching the movie you also feel like the town is spacious, despite it being only a few buildings scattered around. Such a shame they didn't keep the set for tourists, I vouch for a replica be made in actual Louisiana, it would be so awesome! But giving how underated the movie is, it's not likely to happen.
From my question of weather Trudy was the one who began killing, I found a clue I'd forgotten: when Nick breaks into the hunting shop, he sees the sign that says Trudy's TOWN of wax.
That implies that she definitely had something up her sleeve, and told her sons of course. She never got to see that part of her dream come true, dying before it could become reality.
I wanna know what Victor's whole part in the town massacre was. Maybe he had patients die on him "mysteriously?" Maybe he found ways to subtly kill people and that's what he passed on? Like his ring which Bo owned afterwards?
I wonder, why did Bo get the ring and not Vincent? Did je actually inherit it or did he just take it off his father's body after his death? Or did he simply find it amongst his father's belongings and claimed it for himself?
I noticed one of the theater figures eyes move ever so slightly...ha! I saw that! Lol (it's the dude way in the back, to bos right as he enters the cinema, as the flash of the projector hits the camera directly) gotta be real fast to catch it or you'll miss it.
Bo wasn't gonna shoot the head he thought was Carly, but then he saw her and did shoot at her, or was it Nick that he saw first somehow and was aiming at?
He also knows exactly how many figures were in the cinema which goes to show how much time he has on his hands and how serious he is about his and his brothers work.
Also during the movie you can tell and clearly see how much Bo and Vince enjoy the hunt.
Tbh having the wax making room connected to the rest of the underground maze wasn't the hottest idea...well actually it was...I bet if the room was separate from the house of wax, it wouldn't have burned.
Also the idea that someone could get away with murder so many years baffles me.
Also what do ya suppose happened to Lester afterwards? I got to thinkin'...he seemed unbothered by the fact that his older brothers were literally murdered. Did he not care? Was he glad?
Did the twins force Lester and he in fact, never wanted any part of the scheme?
Was he in fact furious and planning to get revenge?
Also imagine the surprise and shock on Nick and Carly's faces when they finally saw the footage on Dalton's camera, showing how Paige died and how they were spied on.
Also the soundtrack to the movie is perfection.
This concludes my rant on the movie, until the next rewatch, toodles!

What changes from f&b did you like and didn't like in the lizards show? Personally not a big fan of how little we got of laena, but ymmv
what I didn't like (though it's nothing dealbreaking the way it was with got):
i agree on seeing more of laena - I mean I think maybe they're going a bit too fast with the timeskip because we spent five wholeass episodes going kind of slowly and then in two we had what YEARS of stuff put in including daemon and laena already having grown children and we didn't see jace/lucerys/aemond being born etc like... I could have done with another episode in the middle bridging the gap? but yeah I agree she should have been around more
listen I know that mushroom is an extremely difficult character to adapt without making it offensive or over the top and technically they don't need him because it's not framed like f&b but man I miss that mushroom isn't in the show I'd have wanted to see how they went about him
not enough tyland lannister yet not enough tyland lannister the only valid one in f&b and I'll die on that hill
for all tarth is mentioned in the book there isn't enough in the show
ngl I'm just sad they started adapting from the dance and not from the beginning because we didn't get my girl rhaena nor the legend coryanne wylde nor my actual fave (aenyysss T_T) nor jaehaerys's reign which I'll admit I wanted more because of the aemon/jocelyn and balon/alyssa stuff but T_T ah well T_T
not enough backstory abt why harrenhal is cursed
what I like:
alicent is a way better character in the show than in the book like I appreciate they actually sat read the thing and went 'okay this is written supposedly by an old white dude a century or so later and it's gonna be favorable to rhaenyra anyway so maybe we can be more in-depth about it' and like in the book she's basically the less-terrible-without-the-incest version of c. which made 100% sure I'd dislike her from the get-go, in the show she's actually a character with a psychological bg/motivations that are shown really well and while I'm nowhere near stanning the greens nor I think that post-timeskip anything she does is excusable (bc parental abuse is parental abuse anyway and I'm saying it as someone who doesn't particularly like how her children grow up either but come on) at least you see WHY she's like that and you feel sorry for her so yeah def that
show!viserys > book viserys but grrm agrees with me on that so
laenor's book-death being subverted with they actually faked it and ran away to the free cities? please I'm all for the poor guy being happy
also I liked joffrey's death at the actual wedding? though I'd have wanted to see him wear laenor's favor T_T
for the rest I think they're adapting everything fairly well/without MAJOR™ changes? I mean I like that daemon's a lot less smooth than he seemed in the book tho I still don't know if I like matt sm*ths' acting 100% of the time like the more time passes the more I can dig it but esp in the beginning I think he lacked the hefty dose of charme that kinda character needs to be oozing but really everything I have to complain wrt this show is nitpicking in comparison to what I used to with got X°DDD
#1#2#3#4#5#janie watches the lizard show#the lizards show#house of the dragon for ts#anti-cersei lannister#anti cersei lannister#anti-cersei#anti cersei#yeah ik she's mentioned for lit one second i'mma still antitag this

The more I think about this headcanon, the more intriguing it gets. The most gendered part of her background would likely be her academy training. To the best of my knowledge, Minthara only hints at those parts of her life in reference to:
Swearing a Paladin's oath to destroy Lolth's enemies
Being an "Adept of House Baenre" (if you Speak With Dead with her corpse)
Her graduation, and how she's fondly reminded of it by a pile of corpses
Being a Paladin definitely implies training at Melee-Magthere, though most graduates of the soldier's academy would be considered Fighters. Also, martial combat is something taught to all academy students, though the preferred weapons for high priestesses are magical snake-headed whips. Though presumably all priestesses are trained in the typical cleric weaponry. And Minthara's preferred weapons are dual-wielded maces, so a limited degree of clerical training makes sense; a few years at Arach-Tinilith, or training from a High Priestess while attending Melee-Magthere, both are possibilities to account for her combat style.
Neither would permit her to become a high priestess tho, so her renown and favor of Lolth without being a high priestess speaks of her devotion prior to the Absolute. That she didn't become a high priestess despite this might indicate a youth that focused on the soldier school, especially since a female-born Baenre would certainly be prepped for priestess training from birth.
No matter where I look I find no specific definition of "Adept" in relation to the Drow and Menzoberranzan culture, except as generic titles for feats/monster manual entries. If this is a specific rank, I find no mention of it.
The Ceremony of Graduation is actually not a priestess-exclusive event, but attended by all graduates of the three schools at Tier Breche. Though her recollection of it is a bit puzzling given the context, since based on my sources (my kingdom for a non-fandom Forgotten Realms wiki) it's basically a big orgy where no one is technically supposed to die, though I guess with a demon present all things are possible.
There's also the curious details about her mother protecting her as a baby from assassination, while making an attempt on her life later. The details of why are left to our speculation. I will throw it out there however, that both canonical "third sons" (Drizzt Do'Urden and Jarlaxle Baenre) both survived their birth by virtue of an older brother being killed in their place. Leading to a couple baseless speculations of my own:
Minthara is herself a third male-born, saved from that fate by her mother who then turned that same blade upon her would-be assassin, an older brother who was most unfavored by her mother.
Minthara is a first or second born—my wager is second, given her name which can mean "Minor/Second Glyph", and like all Drow names can be written in feminine or masculine forms, which I won't repeat here to avoid deadnaming Minthy :p it's easy to look up. Her transition at some point in life led to her younger brother no longer being the third male-born of her mother. He proved to be so much of an embarrassment, her mother put that blame on Minthara as well, and sought to assassinate her. Minthara remains bitter both toward her and her brother as a result.
If we wanna be extra angsty, both can be true at the same time.
The only part I don't find the need to headcanon heavily is the method she would use to transition, even though (without mods) she has all the usual female equipment. Elves of all types have ways of changing gender; Corellon's gift lets them literally just choose at the start of any day, Eilistraee has a ritual dance that can change the dancer's sex as a rite practiced by all her clerics. I can imagine Lolth's favor can do the same for male-to-female specifically, should that individual earn enough of her favor despite the circumstances of their birth. And it would also account for her devotion sufficient to swear a divine oath in the process.
the "you have third son vibes" line is infinitely funnier if you're a tgirl minthara truther imo
