Recovering whumpee who finally breaks and drags themselves back to intimate whumper's door, exhausted, and defeated.
Because whatever twisted affection that whumper has for them is better than the cold indifference of the rest of the world.
Whumper is of course delighted to discover that whumpee finally knows where they belong.

Not sure what kinds of prompts you'd like, so I'll provide options, if that's okay!
A whumpee who can see into the future giving themselves up to whumper because that’s the best ending they can get.
A whumpee who finally broke down and provided the information whumper wanted but is now being disposed of.
A human whumpee with an alien caretaker (who maybe doesn’t know how to care for a human.)
Gonna go for a couple quick blurps this afternoon, lmk if you like something and want me to expand on it!
TW: torture reference, restraints, gun, possible main character death, open ending
Whumpee sobbed as the masked man finished writing in their notebook.
They had given up. After weeks of torture, they had given Whumper the information.
And they hate themself for it.
But at least the pain would stop. They tried to take comfort in that, sagging in the chair they were tied to.
No more pain. No more suffering. No more-
"Get rid of them."
Whumper's order made their head snap up, confusion in their teary gaze.
Then, one of their henchmen started towards them, taking the pistol from their belt, and-
Oh. Oh.
Whumped shook their head as they finally understood. "No, no, wait! I-I gave you what you wanted, you said it w-would be done!"
"It will," Whumper said casually, turning to leave the room as henchmen approached. "You gave us what we want, so we don't need you anymore. We're done."
"But-"
"Goodbye, Whumpee."
The door swung shut.

Answers to "it hurts"
I know (apologetically)
I know (condescendingly)
It's supposed to
Good
I'm sorry
It'll be over soon
Stop whining
And it'll get worse if you don't *insert threat*
Well it wouldn't have to if you didn't *insert mistake*
You're supposed to say 'thank you'
I love hearing you say that
This is nothing, I'll show you actual pain
Get used to it
You'll get used to it
Stop lying
At least you still feel it
Shut up
Why don't you beg me to stop, then?
Can't be that bad if you're still talking
I don't care
Did I ask?
It's the only way you'll learn
You can take it
Answers to "please stop"

We all know about magical fatigue as a whump trope for magical overuse. Now I raise you: Magical euphoria.
Magic that feels good to use. It leaves the user dizzy and lightheaded, a giddy energy rushing through their entire body. It's enough to leave the most stoic whumpee giggling madly, to make the most obedient soldier go rogue. It's a power that ultimately, inevitably, controls its user.
Mages aren’t trusted to act on their own. They can’t be, not when each spell costs them their sanity. Not when, in a daze of manic joy, they’re just as liable to destroy the enemy as their allies.
And so they need a handler.
Imagine Caretaker in this situation. Forced to watch Whumpee throw themselves into madness, to turn themselves into an unthinking weapon under the demand of some uncaring general. Having to put aside their affection for Whumpee as a person, and analyze them as a tool.
It’s Caretaker who decides when Whumpee is still fit for battle. It’s caretaker who has to look into their dazed and distant eyes, blood dripping into a too wide smile, and decide if Whumpee has anything else to give.
It’s Caretaker who decides when they’re too far gone, when Whumpee needs to stop. And if Whumpee can’t, it’s Caretaker’s job to make them stop. Even if that means using force, even if it means hurting them, because letting them run wild isn’t an option.
And when the battle’s over, when Whumpee is either led or dragged away to the medical wing, Caretaker’s the only one brave enough to tend to their injuries. They wrap bleeding, scorched fingers without a word, the only sound being Whumpee babbling, mad ramblings. Caretaker knows they won’t remember any of this. They still talk to Whumpee anyway, soft, comforting words they hope will bring Whumpee back faster.
And when whumpee’s eyes finally clear, when their body sags with exhaustion they’re just now able to feel, Caretaker feels nothing but grief, because it’ll start all over again tomorrow.

What up, whump fam?!
June of Doom 2024 Prompts!
Tumblr media
We've brought back some old favorites/ popular prompts from last year with a healthy dash of new!
Please feel free to participate with original or fan works of any kind (writing, photos, gifs, mood boards, videos, songs, whatever creative medium your heart desires!). You can do one or all of the prompts on any given day, and if none are to your liking, check out the alternate prompts!
Tumblr media
Two rules this year!
As with last year, tag your stuff with appropriate warnings, plzkthnx.
AI-created content is highly discouraged and frowned upon. I have no way of "checking", but I respect the time and effort people put into their crafts and encourage everyone to do the same. This isn't a contest for best written or prettiest art — it's a challenge, so challenge yourself.

"Whumpee can I see your teddy", Caretaker reached out for it, "it needs to be cleaned, I'll give it right back when it's done."
"No, no please", Whumpee squeezed it tighter, and shook their head.
"I'm sorry Whumpee, but you were very sick last week. I'm pretty sure you have puked on it", Caretaker knelt down beside Whumpee, "I know it's your comfort item, but how about we find something else for a few hours while I take care of Teddy."
"Nuh-uh", Whumpee squirmed away.
"Whumpee, do you want to help me clean it, or we could make cookies while Teddy gets washed", Caretaker rubbed Whumpee's back comfortingly, "I promise Teddy will come right back to you."
A friend of Caretaker's was listening in.
"If I were you I'd take it from them, they're to old to be acting like that. Honestly to old to have a stuffed toy", the friend frowned.
Caretaker watched Whumpee's eyes squeeze shut as tears streamed down their face.
"I think you need to stop freaken talking", Caretaker growled at their friend, "you have no idea what is going on here. Just mind your business, and let me do my job."
Finally, after a few more tears and bartering Caretaker was given Teddy.
Caretaker had promised to make Teddy smell really good, and Whumpee now walked around the house wrapped in giant soft blanket.
Lastly, Caretaker handed Whumpee a bowl of ice cream.
"I still think it would have been easier to take it away, and let them get over it", the friend frowned as Whumpee walked past with the ice cream.
Whumpee stopped and looked at Caretaker.
"Don't worry about them, go eat your ice cream. I started a movie for you", Caretaker slapped their friend in the back of the head.
"Oww", the friend complained.
"Are you dumb?", Caretaker gritted their teeth.
"No, I just...", the friend started.
"Whumpee came here with that toy. The person who hurt them gave it to them to signify that they were done hurting Whumpee", Caretaker sighed, "if they had the teddy bear, they wouldn't be hurt. They were safe. If it was pulled out of their hands, torture was starting. It wouldn't end until the toy was given back to them."
"Do you see what kind of issues could have happened if I just pulled that away from them. What kind of trauma response I would have to deal with for the next several hours", Caretaker looked at the friend, "it does take more time, I'm aware of that. I had to have some losses to get the win of getting that from them."
"You told them it needed to be cleaned and it had puke on it", the friend pointed out, "you knew what was best, and they didn't listen to you."
"You should have seen how bad it was when it first came here", Caretaker sighed, "covered in blood, and probably several other body fluids. It was dirty and absolutely disgusting. They still clung to it. To them, it means safety. It's familiar to them."
The friend still frowned.
"You smoke right? Do you have your box and lighter?", Caretaker stood.
"Feeling like a smoke Caretaker?", the friend chuckled as they pulled out the box and lighter.
Caretaker quickly grabbed the box and lighter and walked away.
The friend followed, "where are you going? You don't smoke."
"I know, just proving a point", Caretaker went into his office and closed the door behind him.
The door was locked before the friend could grab the door knob.
The friend gulped when he heard the heavy safe door slam shut. Caretaker came out soon after.
"Where's my smokes", the friend went into the office and pulled on the safe door, "Caretaker?"
"I figured I knew what was best, so I took them away. You won't like it for a little while, but I'm sure you'll get over it", Caretaker grinned as their friend tried to guess the combination, "you're acting like a child you know, aren't you to old to have a crutch like cigarettes."
"Okay, okay, you've made your point. I'm sorry", the friend frowned, "can I have my smokes back now?"
Caretaker grinned as he pulled the cigarettes and lighter from his back pocket.
"That's cold", the friend frowned as they grabbed their things back."
"What's cold is telling a trauma survivor, one who has been through so much more than what we will ever know about, that they need to grow up", Caretaker frowned, "have some sympathy."
Caretaker heard the timer for the teddy's wash go off.
"You could have easily went out and bought another pack and lighter. You would have soon forgotten I had those", Caretaker sighed, "Whumpee doesn't get that luxury."
Whumpee rounded the corner, "is Teddy done?"
"Not quite Whumpee, I just need to dry him", Caretaker held up a few scent capsules, "which smell do you like?"
Whumpee smelt every capsule twice until they picked one.
"Good choice Whumpee", Caretaker smiled, "I promise thirty minutes you will have Teddy back."
Whumpee nodded and sat beside the dryer.
"Can I wait here?", Whumpee's lip quivered.
"Yes, you can. I'll be in the kitchen if you need me", the friend followed Caretaker.
"So what did we learn here?", Caretaker looked at his friend.
"That I shouldn't judge. And, that you have a harder job than what I realized", the friend sighed.
"I think you owe Whumpee am apology", Caretaker frowned, "that was quite mean of you to act like that when you didn't know the whole story."
"Caretaker?", the friend frowned.
"No, no", Caretaker waved in disgust, "you know I am protective of my patients that stay with me, if you can not make yourself safe to be around, you will not be welcomed in my house when I have patients here."
"Okay, okay", the friend sighed, then turned to walk back to Whumpee.
They rounded the corner in time to see Whumpee wiping away a tear.
Whumpee looked at them nervously.
"I'm sorry for being mean earlier, Caretaker explained the importance of that bear. I'm sorry if I caused you any flashbacks", the friend tried to make a comforting smile.
Whumpee nodded, "thankyou", they whispered.
The dryer dinged, causing Caretaker to quickly walk in.
"Alright let's see", Caretaker opened the dryer.
They carefully pulled Teddy out and handed it to Whumpee, "I made sure to use the gentlest wash and dry cycles."
"Careful Whumpee, we have another hole to patch", Caretaker frowned as they looked into the dryer to see clumps of cotton.
"Another hole?", Caretaker's friend eyed Whumpee.
"Yes Teddy is well loved, they need some patching every once in a while", Caretaker sighed, "Whumpee do you want to fix it now or later."
Whumpee gently cuddled their face into the toy, they took in the warmth and scent.
Whumpee's body shook, "what if... what if there is a time Teddy can't be fixed? What do I do then?"
"We will have to figure something else out then", Caretaker frowned, "I'll try my best to make sure that doesn't happen. Here come help me, you can hold Teddy's hand while I sew."
The next day Caretaker's friend called.
"Hey I have an idea, do you think Whumpee could go to the mall", the friend asked.
"They can, though they are having a hard day, so they will need their wheelchair", Caretaker smiled, "what are you thinking?"
"It's a surprise, can you meet me their with Whumpee", the friend asked.
"Yeah, I can do that. Whumpee probably wouldn't mind getting out, they've been distraught because of Teddy", Caretaker stood, "see you soon."
Caretaker pushed Whumpee through the mall until they found their friend.
"Hey Whumpee", the friend knelt down to eye level with Whumpee and smiled, "Caretaker", they then looked up.
"Hello", Whumpee whispered.
"Whumpee is being extra brave right now. They decided to let Teddy stay at home to rest", Caretaker gently rubbed Whumpee's shoulder.
"That is very brave.... I know that now", the friend smiled and patted Whumpee's leg.
"So we are both curious. What brings us to the mall?", Caretaker smiled.
"I had this thought last night while I was looking at online pictures of my niece and nephew celebrating their birthdays", the friend stood.
"There is a store here where you pick a stuffed toy and they stuff it for you", the friend smiled, "I was hoping you would allow me to buy one for you. You could pick whatever you like. There are even some cute outfits to dress the stuffie in."
"But what about Teddy?", Whumpee whispered.
"This will not replace Teddy at all, but maybe give them a little break", the friend smiled, "you're also trauma bonded to Teddy, maybe you are holding onto a lot of bad memories. Maybe a new stuffie will help you move forward in your healing, and you can make new memories."
"B-but Teddy deserves to heal with me also. They went through everything I went through, then helped me", Whumpee let out a small sob, "I don't want Teddy to be forgotten."
"We will never forget Teddy" Caretaker quickly came around, "I promise Teddy will never be forgotten. Can you take a deep breath for me."
Whumpee nodded and took a shaky breath.
"How about this", Caretaker smiled, "we can set up a place for Teddy. A place of honor. Teddy will be able to watch over you, and you will be able to get them at all times."
"We can even pick out a stuffie for Teddy to cuddle, and they can start healing as well", the friend smiled.
Whumpee thought for a second before nodding, "I-I think Teddy might like that."
"Yeah?", the friend smiled.
Whumpee nodded with a weak smile.
The friend looked up at Caretaker and smiled.
Caretaker smiled back and nodded, "you might have it in you to be a caregiver yourself."
"I don't know about that", the friend started to wall and Caretaker followed pushing the wheelchair with Whumpee, "I don't think I would be able to do what you do. I'm sorry I just now figured that out."
"That's alright", Caretaker winked.
Whumpee shook as they walked toward the different stuffie options the store had.
Caretaker helped hold them up as they looked.
"You said they were having a hard day today... I didn't realize", their friend followed with the wheelchair.
"Yes, Whumpee has good days when they can get around just fine. Days like today, their body just doesn't have enough strength", Caretaker continued supporting Whumpee, "their captors did a lot of bad things to them. Their body had to hold up to a lot of abuse, and it's broken."
Caretaker watched Whumpee, "are you doing alright? Do you want to sit down?"
"I-I think I should", Whumpee wobbled forward, but Caretaker held them up.
"Do you see any you like?", the friend held the chair still while Whumpee sat down.
Whumpee nodded, "uhm, I keep looking at that tan bear. It kind of looks like Teddy."
"It does?" the friend went back to look. They thought about the old bear.
"Well I guess what Teddy used to look like", Whumpee was pushed closer.
"This one?", the friend held it up.
"Yes, but are you sure about this?", Whumpee whispered, "you don't have to."
"No, I would absolutely love to get this for you", the friend smiled as they handed the bear to Whumpee, "I was very mean to you yesterday, and I feel bad that Teddy is falling apart on you. Are you sure this is the one you like though?"
Whumpee looked it over, then nodded, "yes... please."
Whumpee helped push the peddle to stuff the bear, and followed the instructions on the heart.
"Give it a big squeeze to see if you like it", Caretaker smiled.
Whumpee squeezed it tightly.
"How does it feel?", the friend watched.
They both watched as Whumpee began to cry.
"Good", Whumpee whispered, "really good, thankyou so much."
Whumpee didn't pick out any clothes until the friend pulled down a shirt that said °Emotional Support Bear°
Whumpee giggled lightly and then nodded.
Caretaker had just covered Whumpee with a blanket when they heard their phone vibrate.
"How are they doing?", their friend had texted, "did the bear work out?"
Caretaker grinned as they sat down across from Whumpee.
They looked up and watched Whumpee's chest rise and fall. They were deep asleep now. The new bear cuddled tightly in their arms.
They snapped a picture and sent it to their friend.
"I can't tell how much this meant to them", Caretaker wiped a tear away from their eye, "you helped them take a big step forward in their recovery. As their caregiver and your friend, thankyou so much for helping heal them."
"You're welcome, I'm glad I was able to do that for them and for you", the friend replied, "have a good night."
"You too", Caretaker stood and retrieved Teddy.
"Alright my dear friend", Caretaker gently carried Teddy to a shelf Whumpee had agreed on.
This shelf overlooked Whumpee's bed, and they would have easy access if they ever needed extra comfort from Teddy.
Caretaker sat Teddy in a weaved basket chair. They rested Teddy's head on a pillow. Lastly, they pulled out the stuffed toy Whumpee had picked for Teddy, and cuddled the arms around the toy.
"Rest well Teddy, you did a good job protecting them. It's my turn now", Caretaker poked the bears faded nose, "I promise they will heal."
Taglist. As always please let me know if you want to be added or taken off of the list. It's not a problem at all.

DIALOGUES FOR MANIPULATIVE WHUMPERS !!
Please tag me or lmk if you use any of these ❤️
"You know, I've never felt this way about anyone before. You're special to me."
"I can't stop thinking about you. You've completely captivated me."
"I love you in a way I've never loved anyone else. You're different."
"I love you so much, it hurts me to see you in pain. But it's for your own good."
"I only hurt you because I care. I want what's best for you, even if you can't see it right now."
"If you really loved me, you'd understand why I have to do this. It's because I love you that I have to push you."
"I love you, but you have to prove yourself to me. Show me that you're worthy of my love."
"If you do exactly as I say, I'll show you just how much I care for you."
"I love you more than anyone else ever could. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise."
"Those people who say I don't love you are just trying to tear us apart. They're jealous of what we have."
"You're just confused right now. Trust me, I know what's best for us. I love you too much to let you make a mistake."
"Oh, darling, I hate to see you suffer. But you know I only do this because I care about you."
"I'm sorry it had to come to this, but you left me with no choice. It's for your own good, believe me."
"If you really loved me, you'd understand why I had to do this."
"I need you to trust me. You're the only one I can count on in this world."
"Don't you see? We're meant to be together. That's why I'm willing to do whatever it takes to keep us together."
"If you behave and do as I say, maybe I'll consider showing you some kindness."
"Prove to me that you're worthy of my love, and maybe I'll let up on you a little."
"You'll earn my affection when you start acting like you deserve it. Until then, you're on your own."

Whumper who is part of the team 💞
I left a bit of a tag dump on a largely unrelated post about how much I adore Whumper who is part of the good guy team, and I have decided to make a post about it as the more I think about this concept the less normal I become so here it is
Whumper is part of the team, but everyone knows to be wary of them
Although they are dangerous, scary and even sadistic at times, everyone agrees that having their power and intelligence on our side is much better than to have them be on the enemy team instead
Because of what they bring to the team — and also because everyone is a little scared of them — Whumper's faults are a little easier tolerated than other teammates', and a young Whumpee who always gets in trouble and hasn't really had the time to get to know Whumper might find this blatant favouritism a little frustrating
Whumper also doesn't have to train all the time, or be present for strategy briefings, or to even really go out on missions with the team. They are always on their own, left to do their own thing, go on special, dangerous missions and the rest of the plan the team must follow tends to center around Whumper
A rookie Whumpee may be annoyed that Whumper gets to do all that, they may become curious of what Whumper really does, or even start idolising Whumper, because they are clearly so strong and smart and trusted, they must be so cool. They probably should not do any of that.
Nobody bothers Whumper when they're in a bad mood. Nobody enters Whumper's room under any circumstances, especially not alone. Nobody shall mention "the previous Whumpee" around Whumper. If Whumper is in a strange, unsettling mood, and seems a bit too friendly and interested in you specifically, you excuse yourself and make a swift escape from the situation. Call Leader if Whumper won't leave you alone. These, and many more rules are set in stone at HQ, and Whumpee is more than a little terrified of Whumper every time they learn of another weird unspoken rule that everyone knows to follow
Whumper loves rookies, and tends to play up their mysterious, dangerous persona in front of them for fun. A disgruntled Medic bumbles something about not letting Whumper get to them, but Whumpee has been sufficiently got to already, staring at Whumper with wide eyes
For whatever reason, Whumper and Whumpee are on a solo mission together. Whumpee is intimidated by Whumper, a little scared that they will follow up on a threat or insinuation they had made before about hurting them, but what actually happens is that Whumpee gets to witness first-hand the brutal efficiency and cruelty with which Whumper works, watching as they tear through the problem effortlessly, mowing through an operation that would have taken the rest of the team a whole week and careful planning to succeed at. Whumper tells them this was just a small favour, nothing major. They finally start understanding Whumper, and why they are such an important part of the team
Whumper leaves for a while, and Whumpee's first time hearing about them is through a desperate team begging them to come back when they face an unkillable, unspeakably powerful threat that they tried and failed to stop. Whumper shows up last minute, and fixes the issue in the snap of a finger with a smile on their face, mentioning how Leader could've just told them how much they missed them and they would've come back
The absolute, horrid carnage Whumper leaves after 'fixing' the team's issue leaves the whole team speechless, suddenly reminded in a massive, unbelievable show of strength and cruelty of just how powerful Whumper truly is. Whumpee has a lot of questions about Whumper for the team after that, namely: who the hell was that?; what the hell did they just do?; and oh my god, what the fuck?
After days of missing, Whumpee is found in Whumper's room tied to a chair, evidently kept there and tortured. Whumpee is so glad to have been found, yelling about how Whumper has always been so weird and unsettling, and how they bullied them and abused them all the time, and how they can't wait for them to be gone, but Medic has to tell them with an aching heart as they fix up their countless injuries that they always knew Whumper hurt them, and that they can't do much about it. Not even Leader can get them to behave without fucking up the system they have in place, and they simply can't afford to do that to the entire rest of the team. The best Whumpee can do is avoid them, or leave the team altogether — but Whumper might go catch them again if they try.
Whenever the team fails to interrogate someone, Whumper is sent in. They are always successful. Whumpee is sent down to ask if Whumper found out what they need to know, and is horrified by the state of the prisoner. Even worse, once they hear everything they need to know, Whumper ushers them out, ready to continue the torture. Whumpee innocently asks them what for if they already know everything they need to, and Whumper pauses to grin at them and ask if they want to join and see.
For a more found family type team: Whumper joins the dinner table for the first time. Everyone falls quiet. Or alternatively: Whumper stops having dinner with them. Whumpee grows concerned and brings a plateful up to Whumper's room. They do not appreciate it as much a Whumpee thought they would. This can go in so many different directions from soft fluff to just horrible awful times
Whumper reminds Leader of how voluntary their subordinacy is by roughing them or a teammate up a bit and showing them how helpless they would be if they decided to get on Whumper's bad side
Whumper is Leader.
Whumper is Medic
Whumper is indesposable
A hostage taken from the enemy confesses to how badly Whumper hurt their own teammates all the time, and shows some very nasty scars Whumper left on them too. The team is horrified
Whumper has something to hide, so they don't let their ex teammate spill anything, killing them before they can, or shutting them up any time they try
Whumper has nothing to hide, and listens with a grin as all their past cruelty is brought forth again. As if the team that they work for wouldn't already be more than aware of all that and more. Well if they weren't, now they can add all that to the list filled with their more recent cruelties
Whumper "accidentally" hurting Whumpee all the time. Whumpee is intimidated into not saying anything about what's really going on
Whumper slowly softening up to their new wholesome team. They can eventually grow fond enough to not be a colossal asshole to them all the time. Or they could go more in the "if anyone but me dares to hurt these idiots, there will be hell to pay" direction
Whumper is a cat. They claw at kind hands for no reason, they get the zoomies and cause chaos, they need to be fed on time or they become pissy, if they fall asleep on top of someone that someone will simply have to stay deathly still and wait for them to wake up because Whumper hates being woken up and once or twice a month they bring home half alive prey they caught to show off and play with. They also purr. If i have anything to say about it
They aren't close at all with the rest of the team yet. Whumper being here is a new thing. Everyone is on edge. It is unpleasant to share a room with this fucking maniac. Their eyes find teammates who they have history with, lingering on scars, or even fresh wounds hidden under clothes that they know fully well will never fade. Their smile is knowing and spiteful
"Does it hurt still? The cut I gave you? I remember how you screamed; it must ache still. How lucky that we are on the same team now, wouldn't you agree?"
No one knows Whumper at all. They are like a ghost. They show up, they do their job, they disappear. One day, Whumper stumbles into Medic's, and wordlessly climbs onto the table. Medic fixes them up with as few words as possible, and after a long, uncomfortable stare from Whumper, agrees to never say a single word about this to anyone
Whumper is a fighter. They live for the battlefield, having a little too much fun mowing down hordes of people. This is Whumpee's first time seeing them in action, and they can't help looking away right before Whumper crushes a defenseless, already incapacitated enemy's skull under their boot
Whumper knows the team way way way too well. They did stalk them for years before they joined. They know just how to get under their skin, and it's both infuriating and terrifying
Anyone who tries to break in at the dead of night answers to Whumper. The rest of the team may not even find out about the spy who tried to infiltrate them for a couple weeks, before Whumper decides to offhandedly mention that they have a hostage in their room and they are ready to talk
Here's the unhinged tags that inspired this if anyone wants to see

I just need to be beaten raw and bloody within an inch of my life, and then chained to the wall for a while. I think that would fix me.

What about a pet/conditioned Whumpee wearing a collar, out in public with Whumper, who is holding the leash attached to the collar. Sometimes Whumper would make Whumpee sit, roll over, do tricks, even to go far as to give them dog food and call them a good boy for it.
But eventually, bystanders file a complaint to the police of public indecency and strange behavior of both Whumpee and Whumper.
When the police arrive, they find that Whumpee isn't speaking, Whumpee won't say a single word. Only shake their head and stick their tongue out at the police in annoyance.. how these men would dare to separate them and their owner.
Then eventually, Whumpee finds themselves in custody of the police, being interrogated.
"Is the man abusing you?" "Are you being held against your will?" "Is that your father?"
And Whumpee is confused, these mean people are keeping their owner in another room.. are they hurting him? no, don't respond. Don't give these people anything. they aren't your owner-
So they contact a citizen offered for special occasions to come in by police, a somebody with a case yet still opened.
It's caretaker.
Whumpee and caretaker exchange a look at each other, both not taking their eyes off each other. Whumpee in a collar sat down in the interrogation seat, and Caretaker all dressed up, standing in the doorway.
"That's them, officer. that's Whumpee."
And Whumpee breaks.

have you ever wanted to have your very own whumpee locked away in a basement to horribly mistreat? silly little things like "legal" or "moral" issues got in the way of fulfilling that desire? why not try it in a videogame instead!
i've had this project in the works for a while, but it's slowly entering the (very) early alpha stages! i would like to present an as of yet untitled "whump game". much like in those "virtual pet" style games that used to be popular a ~decade ago, you'll have to take care of your captive and check in on him every now and again. the video is just an early version of the customization screen - there's a lot more to come! some of the features i'm currently working on:
more customization options!
a system of rewards/punishments.
a diary for your whumpee.
ways to make money and buying clothes, accessories, etc.
a health and hunger system - try to keep your whumpee alive.
a story. yes, this will be more than just a tamagotchi clone with torture!!
a playable multiplatform build (probably on itch.io).
i'll be publishing more updates under the tag #whumpdev let me know if you have any wishes/suggestions/complaints or you want to be added to a taglist! :)

Hi! Can you do something where the villain captured the hero and hurts them to prevent them from escaping? Where the villain is kinda taunting towards the hero after they have injured them, knowing they're the one in control of the hero?
I think there was a similar one to this you posted wayyy earlier but i was just wondering if you could make another one in the same type of style?
(It's dark, just to warn you. Tread carefully.)
"You don't have to do this."
"You didn't have to run," the villain replied. "But we all have our callings, don't we?" Their voice was not unsympathetic. Their eyes were eager. If a stare was capable of taking a bite out of a person, then the villain's would.
Pain throbbed through the hero's ankle where they'd fallen. They weren't remotely convinced it would take their leg if they tried to stand. They edged back another uneasy inch on the floor, nausea clawing up their throat.
"I won't do it again. You've already proven it's useless, that there's no way out of here. Just-"
"-Don't say please, you'll excite me, and then I'll have to hurt you more. It would be regrettable."
The hero's mouth snapped shut.
The villain sighed and crouched down in front of them. They patted the hero's broken ankle, oh so consolingly, forcing the hero to bite back a whimper.
"I was dumb," the hero whispered.
"Oh, yes."
"I've learned my lesson."
"What's the lesson?"
"You're in charge. I - I won't try to run. I'll - I can be good."
"Of course you can, love," the villain said. "We all have a capacity of goodness inside us. Will you be, though?"
"Yes. Oh my god, yes. So you don't have to - I mean, we can both resist our callings, right?" The hero wet their dry, cracked lips. "You don't want to hurt me, yeah? It's - it's regrettable."
"But what if you get dumb again?" the villain asked. "I think it would help you to have a reminder. It's good to reinforce lessons, you know?"
"My ankle-"
"-An excellent reminder not to trip and to watch where you're going. Nothing to do with me."
"Please."
There was a moment of absolute silence.
The hero's heart dropped, with the horrible realisation of what had just left their lips, at the look on the villain's face.
Before, the villain's stare was a bit like taking a bite, sure. In the same way that a shark might take a bite out of an unsuspecting tourist - a little nibble merely to check what they were dealing with. Instinct. Habit. No particular malicious force behind it.
Now...
"I'm sorry," the hero said. "I'm sorry, I didn't-"
"You're making it so much worse. Stop."
The hero squeezed their eyes shut. That time, the whimper slid free.
The villain leaned in, cupping their chin, pressing a soothing kiss to their forehead.
"It's for the best, pet. Then we won't have to do this again."
"What are you going to do?"
"It's not what I'm going to do," the villain said. "It's what you're going to do."
"Stay put?"
The villain smiled. They gestured to one of their goons, who scurried forward to hand the villain a hammer.
The hero flinched. They braced themselves, already able to imagine the crack of bone, the-
The villain curled the hero's fingers tenderly around the handle.
"Break your leg, dear. We both know I won't be able to stop with just the one if I get started, hm?"
The hero stared at them.
The villain stared back, implacable.
"What?" the hero whispered.
"Well, if it was me, I'd start with the leg so you don't run. But you're stubborn, aren't you? So then I'd have to start wandering about your eyes. Much harder to run without any eyes! Though of course there are still options-"
"-Which leg?"
"Dealers choice!"
The hero tightened their grip on the hammer, hand shaking. They considered their legs. Where might hurt least.
"Ankle okay?"
"For a first offense. I can be kind."
"Okay," the hero said. They exhaled a breath. "Okay."
"Want me to count you in? One, two - oh." The villain whistled as the hero brought the hammer down. Their ears rang with pain. The world tilted. Everything felt too hot, too icy cold. They could vaguely hear the villain still talking, steadying their hand, stroking their abruptly clammy hair from their face. "Nice. Efficient. Now one more time because you said please."
Please. God, please.
But there was no god, only the villain.
The hero brought the hammer down.
It was a relief to wake up, alone, in their cell.

Tension in whumpee/caretaker relationship
Caretaker's family/partner hates whumpee's family so they have to keep whumpee a secret
Whumpee thinks caretaker is coming onto them every 5 seconds (bonus: "I'm gay, I keep telling you this")
Last time whumpee and caretaker met, they fought, and now it's awkward "I'm so sorry about that whole--" "I am bleeding out, caretaker."
Caretaker IS actually coming onto whumpee every 5 seconds but is trying not to be pushy. They can't tell if whumpee is saying no or just very dense
Caretaker keeps accidentally triggering whumpee - *whumpee turning into a flinching, apologizing mess* "oh fuck what did i do this time... Was it my tone again?"
Whumpee and caretaker had a very different, less intimate relationship before (coworker? Half sibling?) - "oh dear. You're... I'm sorry but I see a--a piece of glass in your neck is it ok if I just..."
Trust issues - "are those ropes?!" "No... these are bandages..."

The moment a defiant whumpee breaks down for the first time.
It shocks them nearly as much as their audience. They try stubbornly to hold it in, to keep their expression firm. Whumpee’s body rigid with the effort; jaw set, fists clenched and shaking.  They can’t trust themselves to speak, can’t trust themselves to breathe, and so they bite their lip in a desperate attempt to remain composed. They fail, and when their body forces them to inhale, the shuddering gasp that comes out is a sob. The tears begin to flow unrelenting, and their frustration at their weakness only makes them flow faster. They can only angrily swipe away at the onslaught or turn away, all useless attempts to hide the shame clear on their face.
I like to think about someone watching them, standing still as whumpee’s crumbling apart. Maybe it’s caretaker. It’s the first time they’d seen whumpee look so small, so hurt. They want to help, want to give the comforting words whumpee could never accept before. But indecision stills their hand. What could they say that whumpee would hear?
Or maybe it’s whumper, watching in near shock as their oh so stubborn captive dissolves into tears before them. They don’t even mock them at first, simply watching whumpee’s trembling form. Watching them, even as whumpee tries to hide their shame. Watching and feeling nothing but satisfaction.
There’s simply something so sweet about a character defined by their defiance falling apart.
