I SHIP THEM!!!!
There i said it! i like alumaria i dont care if some of you think im weird or im some sick person but i like them i ship them!.
I've been keeping this a secret for a year because im worried of what the other's might think because i know alot of people has alot of say about this paring!.
"But maria is a minor" Yes i know she's a minor one of the biggest issues when it comes to their paring is the age gap but here's my personal take.
She wont stay a minor forever she will get older and as a teenager she already has her own decisions and options and it will keep going as she gets older then maybe something between them can happen.
"He literally watched her grow up!" No he didn't?? Alucard just got there he wasn't stalking around them when they were children like some creep (and Alucard is no such thing).
At the end of the series Alucard is obviously staying with juste and maria and lets say he stays for a few years lets say maria is three years older now he didn't watched her grow up like some predator if he watched her grow up wouldn't that mean his been stalking her since she was a child? so no he didn't watch her grow up, he definitely saw her age but its not like his waiting for her until she's an adult to start making moves lets be real MARIA FELL FIRST!.
"I want them to have a father daughter dynamic instead" would you look at your father figure like that!? (on the picture above) all blushy face and having stars in your eyes? i know some of you understands that look! she's definitely catching feelings (dont tell me you dont look at your crush like that sometimes).
Let me say juste is the father figure that stepped up when maria was at her lowest not alucard he was barely even there! and quite so better than him trying step in and try to be a parental figure to her.
Juste was the best option. tera and ritcher trusted juste to look after maria it would be odd if they turned to alucard and asked him to do it.
"Thats grooming and really pedo" alucard would never he respects maria and he most certainly respect ritcher and juste and he would never do or try anything on maria or even manipulate her.
They only had two direct conversations in the entirety of season 2 ep 1 and ep 8. the first is the only ep where we see them alone together but nothing malicious was happening they both talked maria asked questions and alucard answers them and when she ran off alucard doesn't do anything to stop her.
And for the majority of the season if we see them together on screen their mostly accompanied by the other characters and not to mention the way they are place on screen they are juste is always standing between them so definitely no grooming or pedophilia ever happened.
"I would rather ship lyudmil and alucard" Good for you im not a fan of the ship but hey we like different ships i respect that you do you, i do me.
"But his like 300 years old!" His half vampire what did you expect his immortal yes physical he doesn't age but mentally he grows and learns he has matured alot since 1476 but that doesn't make him a groomer 😭.
Now i dont support pedophilia or grooming in any sort of way i ship alucard and the older maria but with how maria looked at that scene there's definitely something thats going to happen between them in the later seasons.
It doesn't have to be instant it all depends on the writing and how the writers will deliver and form their bond without making it weird if its a one sided crush then thats fine if alucard reciprocates her feelings thats great as long as maria is a little older and it wouldn't look rushed or forced or make it weird.
if you dont like my post and my ship please you can IGNORE my post and my account i dont want to argue, if you dont like this ship thats completely fine you can just SCROLL AWAY.

On Alucard and Maria
Tumblr media
Are there actually fans advocating for Alucard to be written as Maria’s father figure in the new season of Nocturne? Like that would be a good thing and not infinitely creepier? I don’t think they’ve thought this through.
Alucard is the single most popular character in the franchise. He’s also probably the most shipped character. And yet he has only had one canon love interest in the decades since he’s existed. It’s Maria. And you’re telling me that you think that because he’s 300+ and she’s 17-18 when they started living together in the games, that it would be grooming. However, somehow him inserting himself into her life at age 16 when she’s just lost both her parents wouldn’t come off like grooming!?
Tumblr media
Does this man look like he should be picking up random children!? He’s literally terrified of his own cursed blood. Maybe LISTEN TO HIM.
I’m convinced fandoms have forgotten what that word means. Grooming has specific features. It doesn’t just mean “older guy and younger girl.” A relationship with an age gap or an uneven power dynamic can be exploitative or abusive without being a case of grooming. Grooming specifically refers to the process of forming a relationship with a child with the intention of leveraging that relationship and trust to train and prepare (aka brainwash) your victim for the harmful activities the groomer wants to normalize. The relationship Alucard and Maria have in the games is in no way grooming. You know what would be grooming though?
Coming into a 16 year old’s life when she’s vulnerable, traumatized, and recently orphaned only to insinuate yourself as a new father figure. This is so highly inappropriate and a huge red flag. Consider what you’re actually asking for here. These characters do not exist in a a vacuum. They have a long history together as each other’s only canon love interests. You cannot fully extract them from the games, art, interviews, audio dramas, animations, and more where they’re depicted as a couple. There are decades of this precedent and you are asking Netflix to knowingly take the characters with an established romantic dynamic that the audience is already primed to see as romantic and instead portray their meeting as him trying to be her new daddy?
Tumblr media
“Oh look! Alucard and his… daughter? Yikes.” This is an official advertisement btw.
THAT is grooming! Think about the optics of this! It would be abysmal! No it would NOT fix the problem of their age gap to make him act like a groomer and get in good with her as a dad. You just cannot completely extract them from the legacy of their relationship in the source materials. It will be incredibly creepy and textbook grooming if you get your way.
Tumblr media
Is this really what you want to associate with an “adoptive father Alucard”? Because the art we create doesn’t exist in a vacuum. All the old content—official and fanmade—is still going to exist.
What is so objectionable about the original dynamic anyway? It’s a pretty fun subversion of the tired and problematic vampire trope of “vampire man stalks teen girl and coerces her into being his”. Instead in their original relationship, Maria is the one who pursues Alucard! It’s the young woman who takes initiative and is given the agency to go after what she wants. She courts and woos him. That’s part of the fun!
Yes, Alucard is 300+. He’s also a fictional creature that doesn’t actually exist IRL and stays eternally young. There are no actual people who will ever have his problem of staying 20 forever so it’s rather silly to say he can’t date any humans because of course he will have an age gap with any of them.
The only real problem I have seen people bring up is Maria’s age, but from what I can tell, the show’s already fixed this. Check it out.
In The Games
Rondo of Blood: Maria is 12. She and Alucard do not meet. Richter is a brother-figure and not romantic.
Tumblr media
There is then a 5 year time skip.
Symphony of the Night: Maria is 17. She and Alucard meet to save Richter. At the end, Alucard says his goodbyes and intends to return to a life of solitude. Maria goes after him because she has developed feelings for him and doesn’t want him to suffer a life alone.
Maria is given agency to pursue what she wants and prove herself even against Alucard’s resistance and hesitance to let another person into his life.
Tumblr media
They spend a year together before we get the audio drama.
Nocturne of Remembrance: Maria continues to try to get close to Alucard. They end up saving each other’s lives and in the end he finally confesses his romantic feelings for her. She is an adult and perfectly able to make her own choices. She chose him. He admits he returns her feelings.
How fandom can look at a story about a young woman subverting the trope and chasing the vampire to get what she wants—basically an anti-Bella Swan—and still find a way to disempower her just so they can pearl clutch? I couldn’t tell you.
So now let’s look at what the show did.
In The Show
Nocturne S1: Maria is 16. She’s been aged up from 12, probably to give her a more active and believable role. But this also means she’s within a normal age to start feeling attraction and expressing her wants. Within her society, she’s even considered of marriageable age. However we are spared the discomfort of our modern values clashing with her contemporaneous ones because Maria in this season isn’t interested in romance. She’s interested in revolution, equality, justice. They’ve portrayed her with so much love and strength. There is no indication they’d betray her by writing her as the child victim of a male suitor. In fact she only meets Alucard in the final few seconds of the season and the two do not even speak a single word to one another.
Tumblr media
Now let’s remember the games had a five year time skip. The show only needs two years to get Maria to the adult age of 18, but assuming the follow through with the timeline and go for the full five?
Maria will be 21.
21.
Tumblr media
Fan concept for adult Maria. Credit:@esp-art
Are you telling me a 21 year old woman is not old or mature enough to make her own decisions? How is this not a total infantilization of women? Do you think a 21 year old badass vampire hunter needs protection from the ace depressed dhampir boy who just wants to sleep and has in no way tried to pursue her until after she expressed consistent and persistent interest in him?
It is not “grooming” to meet someone when they were younger and then meet them again years later as an adult. That’s a thing that happens! In real life! Adults can still make decisions for themselves! It is only grooming if Alucard behaved in a way that would manipulate teen Maria and put her under his control and authority before she can consent. There is no indication that Alucard in the show is going to do this. And yet the fandom is basically demanding it by saying he should make her “his baby girl”?
And what of Maria’s feelings in all this? She just lost her mother and was betrayed by her father shortly after discovering he even existed. She has lived her whole life without a father. She is in no desperate need of a new one. And if she does need a family member, she already has one! Richter is 19 and is her trusted adoptive brother. Why wouldn’t she go to him over a total stranger she just met and who is half vampire - literally a predator creature that feeds on humans!?
Tumblr media
Yeah, hi, Richter Belmont still exists. He and Maria consider each other family. Why would you want her relying on a strange man she just met as a “father figure” rather than her trusted and loving brother?
Have none of you even considered how Maria would feel if Alucard even tried to fill the paternal role? He’d have to force it on her through manipulation and coercion. No way she would want to view him that way. Especially considering she is 16 and likely to be as attracted to the sparkly 20 year old looking sculpted marble beauty as anyone else!
Tumblr media
Don’t mind the beautiful eternally young man who looks made of pure porcelain and light. No teen girl has ever been attracted to this, right? No way it could be exploitative and creepy for him to present himself as her new daddy, giving himself authority and influence over her as his child to mold as he wishes, right? Oh yeah, this is MUCH better than Maria pursuing him of her own volition once she becomes an adult, right guys?
We are truly in the stupidest dark timeline.
Frankly, I don’t care if Netflix has them get together or not. They would work just fine as friends too. I just sure as hell hope they’ll ignore the fans clamoring for a creepy daddy/daughter dynamic. Dressing it up as “concern” won’t hide that for some it’s a fetish, and for others they’re just useful idiots who haven’t thought it through.
I implore you to think it through.

Twilight- Unknown: Chapter Five, Graduates
(Alice x Reader x Jasper)
Tumblr media
[four] [five] [six]
I stood beside Jasper and Carlisle watching the news. Jasper's hand was on my side keeping me close to him.
"Police are baffled by the escalating murders and disappearances." The female reporter says to the camera. I leaned in closer to my boyfriend who was extremely concerned with what's going on. I knew why so I tried to comfort him in a subtle way. "Theories range from a vicious new gang to a wildly active serial killer. Reporting live, Dawn Chubai, CNN." She ends the report.
"It's getting worse. We're going to have to do something." Carlisle speaks after turning the tv off, facing the others.
"It takes more than one of our kind to cause the damage they're reporting. Quite a few more. They're undisciplined, conspicuous..." Jasper sighs, gripping me tired. I know he's thinking back to Maria.
"Newborns." Edward says aloud earning my sister's attention. "What, like new vampires?" She questions.
"In their first few months after the change." He says. "That's when we're at our most uncontrollable, vicious, insane with thirst." Jasper explains why it's so worrying. "Something to look forward to." Emmett picks at Bella.
"No one has trained these newborns, but this isn't random." My lover continues. "Someone's creating an army." Carlisle adds in, Jasper nods his head. Emmett smirks at this, getting excited. "Oh, now we're definitely going to Seattle." He says.
"An army of vampires?" Bella asks. "And they've been created to fight someone." Jasper sighs out.
"We're the only clan even close to Seattle." Edward points out to everyone. "Regardless of who they were. If we don't put a stop to them, the Volturi will. I'm surprised they've let it go on this long." Carlisle irritably tells us.
"Maybe they're behind it. In Italy. I read Aro's mind. He wants me and Alice to join him... Our gifts would shore up his power. Even [Name] would be a plus for him." Edward looks at me and I tense up, I feel Jasper try to calm my emotions. Greatly appreciated as I don't want to think about Aro and the rest of the Volturi I know would kill me if they had the chance.
"He knows we'd never choose him as long as our family is alive. An army could solve that for him."
I look over to my older sister who speaks up, "We can't wait two weeks for graduation; you need to change me now-"
"You'd be a liability as a newborn. Unable to control your instincts. An easy target." Jasper disagrees with Bella. "[Name] didn't go through that, though. What if I'm like her since I'm her sister." She points out but then Carlisle steps in and puts a hand on her shoulder.
"[Name] had the hybrid blood in her veins. She progressed so fast we knew she was different after the first three days. We don't know that for sure with you. Plus there's also your father to consider. And your mother. How terrible would it be for them if you suddenly disappeared?" He questions her, she knows she can't argue this, this time. Her shoulders slump in defeat.
"Hey did you eat dinner yet?" Bella asks Charlie, we walk into the kitchen after putting our stuff down at the table where he was reading a flier for a missing boy. "Um... no, I haven't." He answers. I watch Bella look over his shoulder, seeing the flier.
"This kid Riley Biers disappeared over a year ago and his poor parents have been papering Seattle with these things ever since." He expresses in a rough tone.
"You think they should just give up?" Bella looks at him, he glances between the both of us. "I wouldn't If it were either of you two. Not ever." He pulls us into a hug. After a small beat of silence he releases us. Taking a breath to cover up the fact that he was getting emotional over a case.
"So, one large, extra cheese?" He asks us, switching the subject. "And cheese bread. I know [Name]." He says before I even speak. I nod my head dramatically, kissing his cheek before I walk away, yelling a small thank you.
The next few days I've been getting ready for graduation. Actually doing my work.
Everything that happened this year the teachers were super lenient with me thinking I got major surgery.
I'm grateful for it. I know that technically I don't have to be worrying about this. I'm immortal. I'll be able to go to high school again and it will get easier and easier but this was my life at one point.
The only thing I'm sad about is the fact I had to give up my sports. I sigh, leaning back on my bed and closing my eyes after studying this bull crap.
I feel two dips in my bed and I open one eye to see Alice and Jasper looking over my homework.
"Gosh, this stuff is easy." Jasper hums out, putting the book back down. I open both eyes this time to glare at him. "You have years of practice, I don't want to hear it." I fold my arms, he snickers. Alice moves the stuff out of the way and climbs into my arms.
"We could always help you, you know." She offers, forcing me to put my arms around her. Now playing with my hand. Jasper sits on the other side of me. "You could but that feels like cheating." I lay my head on Jasper's shoulder.
"It would be but you'd also pass your tests faster." She sings quietly. I smile down at her, shaking my head.
"Not happening." I kiss the top of her head.
"Bella also told me that you two invited the wolves to the party." I bring up suddenly, she makes a noise I've never heard before and she shoots up from my arms.
"She begged me to do that. It was practically against my will." She rants, clearly upset by the decision she had to make to make my sister and her brother happy.
"I mean are they really that bad? The wolves?" I look at her, sort of looking back to Jasper. I knew he could tell what I was feeling. "What do you mean?" She tilts her head.
"I am a part of them, I can turn into one. I'm just worried that one day I'll change my mind and want to try out my wolf form and then you guys won't be happy with it. Or I don't know, it's childish but leave me I guess." I overly explain, feeling stupid once it comes out of my mouth. I avoid eye contact with Alice now.
Mentally cursing at myself.
"We'd still love you, [Name]. We love that you promised us to not turn but we'd never truly want to hold you back from what you wanted to do with your abilities and self-being." Alice grins at me, almost laughing, probably at how silly and stupid I sounded.
"Exactly, we've made some mistakes in the past with choosing things for you but we know that being a hybrid is something you didn't choose. Even being a vampire wasn't your choice." Jasper chimes in, pulling me into an embrace, forcing me into a lazy kiss. Alice then grabs my face and kisses me as well.
We weren't going to do anything else. My dad was in the other room. That also wasn't the only thing that stopped us. The three of us heard Jacob's truck pull up and one of the doors slam. Edward also pulled up.
We looked at each other. "Stay here." I tell them, rushing out of my room and outside.
"Not here, Edward. Please." Bella pleads with the vampire. "If you ever touch her against her will again." He points in Jacob's face but my sister is blocking him.
My eyebrows furrow hearing this. "Don't do this." Bella begs.
"She's not sure what she wants." Jacob stands straighter.
"Well, let me give you a clue. Wait for her to say the words." Edward holds onto Bella.
"Fine. And she will." Jacob glares at him. "Jacob. Just go, okay?" My sister tells the wolf. I get closer, they obviously don't know I was there, or they did and just didn't care. The two are practically facing off with one another.
The front door opens and Charlie gets down the steps. "Hey, hey, hey, hey... Easy guys. Let's take it down a notch. Alright? What's going on?" My dad questions the scene in front of him.
"I kissed Bella. And she broke her hand... Punching my face." Jacob explains. My eyes widen and I move without even realizing it.
Punching him in the jaw myself. Everyone gasps around me. Jacob actually holds his face as I look at him in disgust.
"The audacity you fucking have is astounding Jacob. " I shove him back to his truck. Not enough to show off a supernatural strength but the anger I feel of him just doing that to Bella without her consent sickens me.
After he leaves I turn back to the house. Bella was hiding her face into Edwards chest who was trying not to laugh. My dad looked shocked.
I sigh, shrugging my shoulders. "Carlisle should check that out, Bella." I point to her, Edward nods in agreement.
"Total misunderstanding, it's just a sprain. Should heal fairly quickly." The doctor of the family tells my sister. "Trying to walk and chew gum at the same time again, Bella?" Emmett teases her since she's so clumsy and practically known for it by everybody now.
"I punched a werewolf in the face." She corrects him. "Bad ass... You're going to be one tough little newborn." He grins.
"Tough enough to take you on." Bella smirks, Emmett goes to laugh but Rosalie slaps down the newspaper she was holding and storms out. Scowling towards Bella.
"Don't worry about it." Emmett shrugs it off.
"Okay, any leads?" Edward questions, switching the attention to something more dire.
"No sign of the intruder. But Victoria continues to make appearances." Jasper says. "But it seems to be only when [Name] isn't with any of us." He adds.
"She's toying with us. Keeping us distracted." Carlisle tells us.
"From Seattle?" Emmett tilts his head. "The intruder or something else." I speak up. "Alice can keep tracking her decisions but we have to track her on the ground." Edward says.
"We're having Alice watch a lot, I think I should take over some." I tell them. Jasper rubs my side as they look at me.
"I mean it has to be a lot for her. She hasn't said anything but Jesus, Aro, Charlie, Bella, and Victoria is a lot of information to cover and watch." I stand up for my girlfriend.
"Taking her energy is better?" Edward asks me. "I don't have to take her energy to take over her power." I cross my arms.
"[Name] your power lasts ten minutes, how would you be able to watch anyone?" Carlisle quizzes, not in a condescending way but genuinely just wanting to know.
I pause, glancing over at Jasper who nods his head for me to continue. "I've been practicing, Jasper has been helping me because I've spoken to him about it. I can do it for days now. And now I can basically copy your power without fully taking it. It's a lot but I can do it." I explain, begging for them to see my point in taking over for Alice.
At least taking over to watch over Charlie and Aro. Edward and Carlisle look at each other. "You need to make sure Alice is okay with it. You're also right, we didn't realize how much we put on her to watch." The father figure of the Cullen's tells me with a weak smile.
I let out a satisfied breath, squeezing onto Jasper without even realizing it.
"What ground have we covered?" Edward changes the subject once again.
"We've already covered the entire southern peninsula down to Quinault." Jasper answers.
"We'll search the northwestern trail." Edward says to Carlisle and Emmett. I didn't even notice that my sister left the room and was talking to Rosalie.
I looked out on the deck. I heard bits of their conversation so I tried to focus elsewhere. Already knowing Rosalie's tragic background I didn't want to eavesdrop on it.
Jasper kisses my jaw, I turn to him and he smiles. His dimple formed causing me to melt. It was one of my favorite features of his. We sat there in silence after everyone had left the living room. It was comfortable, finally having a moment away from all the hectic stuff.
Knowing it wasn't going to last much longer.
"When we were five, they asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up..." Jessica talks to the students of Forks high school, plus the teachers and families that joined.
"Our answers were things like astronaut, president, or in my case, princess." She smiles from her own words. I lean onto my older sister listening to Jessica's speech,
"When we were ten, they asked again and we answered rock star, cowboy or in my case, gold medalist. But now that we've grown up, they want a serious answer. Well, how about this: who the hell knows?!" She giggles as people holler from the audience.
Bella's shoulders were tense, I took her hand in mine when I noticed and she gave me a small smile.
"This isn't the time to make hard and fast decisions, it's the time to make mistakes. Take the wrong train and get stuck somewhere chilly. Fall in love- a lot.Major in philosophy because there's no way to make a career out of that. Change your mind. Then change it again, because nothing is permanent..." Jessica continues to do her speech, the words hit in ways I know as a human would be special.
Goosebumps would've crawled all over my skin but knowing that in a few decades everyone around me will be gone as I stand here. Never growing old it just doesn't feel the same. Knowing that my sister beside me has the choice to stay human I just wish she would.
But I also know she wants to be with her love. I couldn't stop her from that.
"I'm so proud of you two girls, I can't wait to see what you both do next. You're my biggest accomplishments." He has us on either side, arm wrapped on each daughter.
"Dad, that's not true." Bella disagrees.
"Yeah, it is. And it's.. well you'll see when you have kids." He shrugs it off. I frown knowing that Bella nor I will be giving him grandchildren.
At the Cullen house I stand with Bella. Jasper, Carlisle Emmett and Edward are in a deep conversation about what's going on with Seattle. My sister begins to walk over there but Jessica and Angela swoop in and grab us. Taking us the opposite way.
"You both made it." Angela grins. "Well, I am the girlfriend of the girl who's hosting." I point out, Angela laughs nodding. "Right, sorry."
"Hey. What'd you think of my speech? Too easy-breezy, too self-helpful? You may admit it." Jessica questions mainly to Bella.
"No, you pretty much nailed it." My sister shakes her head. "Yeah? It's like I was born to lead, right?" Jessica grins, proud of herself.
"Oh, great. I love this song, let's go." Angela pulls us to the dance floor where Eric and Mike join us. They do a stupid robot dance battle as the girls laugh.
I just stay beside Angela, both of us jumping and doing basic moves. I noticed Bella leave when Jacob came into the house. I didn't have to look because his smell is so distinct.
I think Angela saw I was a little distracted so she grabbed my hands and had us face each other. Forcing me to follow her lead.
The lighting was a little darker now and it was as if all I could see was her. "You're a good dancer!" She says over the music.
"I'm barely trying, you're keeping me going!" I laugh. I quickly fixed the wife beater I was wearing.
Alice dressed me in a dressy suit earlier and the jacket was too tight since she got it fitted before I turned into a hybrid. I still wore the dress pants though.
"Nonsense! I feel like you're leading me!" She huffs out, I saw her eyes trail to my arms and I snicker to myself, reminding me of Alice.
"You give me too much credit." I shake my head, starting to feel sweat drip down my forehead.
Going into the next song, Jessica joins in causing Mike and Eric to do the same. Angela sticks beside me though. That was until I got dragged away abruptly.
"Oh!- I'll be back!" I say once I realize that it's Alice. "She might not." My girlfriend disagrees. I furrow my eyebrows now worried that something happened.
We go by the staircase, Jasper already standing there. "What's going on? Everything okay?" I worriedly asked. Jasper was laughing but Alice looked a little angry?
"Babe?" I look down at her, she now had her arms crossed in front of her. "Am I missing something? Did I do something?" I question, confused by why she would be mad. Jasper went to speak up but Alice groaned.
"Your little friend was all over you, [Name]. God how could you not see that?" She asks me in an irritated tone. I tilt my head. "I mean we were just dancing..." I fail to agree with her.
"Are you that oblivious?" She scrunches her face in disbelief. "Why are you jealous, my love?" I ask her, pulling her into my arms.
"I'm not jealous, she was just eyeing something that's mine." Alice avoids eye contact with me as I hold her hips. "Mhm, I didn't know I was property." I chuckle lowly.
I see Alice look over on the dance floor then grab my face and kiss me. It surprised me but I kissed her back. When she let me go I looked over to where she was and Angela quickly looked away.
I shake my head laughing. "I've never seen you jealous before." I try to calm my laughter. Jasper doing the same thing.
The only thing that did was when Alice grew frozen and was having  vision. I held onto her. I heard Bella behind me just as Alice came out of it.
"Alice, what did you see?" My sister asks.
"Okay, something is going on. Tell me." Jacob says. Bella got in between Alice and I. I stand beside Jasper.
Watching Jacob intently. I haven't seen him since I punched him in the jaw, something that already healed.
"I need to talk to Jasper and [Name]." She quietly says but then Jacob puts an arm against the wall, blocking her from getting to us.
"Why don't you talk to me?" The wolf angrily asks.
Both Jasper and I get in front of him.
"I suggest you remove your arm. Before I do." Jasper says, we glare at him. He makes the smart decision and backs away from our girlfriend.
"The decision's been made." Alice speaks.
"What's going on? You're not going to Seattle?" Bella quizzes.
"No, they're coming here." Alice looks up to Jasper and I.
Our faces drop.

The second she had run out of the house, Julie flew up into the sky. She didn't care if she was seen and if some mortal would freak out. She was freaked out.
She had recognised Lucy, vaguely at first, but the more the woman had talked te more familiar she'd seem. And then, of course, there was the boy she had recognised as Sam. Sam, who she remembered, from the summer camp Michael had talked to her about. Sam who seemed to know about vampires and how to recognise them. Sam, who seemed more than ready to reveal their true nature to everyone.
As she landed on the roof of Max' house, she pulled her legs up, leaning her head on her knees. Only then, when she was sitting there alone, thinking about all that had happened the past weeks, did she dare to let the tears flow.
She cried, thick, bloody tears streaming down her face. Her eyes were bloodred as she looked up at the shadow looming over her.
"Dwayne?"
Maria stood in front of the grave, a fresh bouquet of flowers in her hands. "I'm sorry, Shell," she said quietly, placing the flowers on the marble headstone. "It shouldn't have been you. You saved me in there."
She was quiet for a moment, gathering her thoughts.
"I'm going to try and take this company down. They'll burn for what they did to us. You'll be remembered," she added with a soft sigh. "I just hope you find more peace in your next life."
With those words, she left the grave behind, stepping into her car. She had a job to do.
"Is she alright?" Lucy asked as she sent her son and his friends upstairs.
"This was probably a bit much for her," Max said with an apologetic smile. "She's been through a lot, and sometimes that means her instincts will go in over drive."
"I don't know what happened to her, but I am quite certain that she is my niece. I want to make sure she is, before I inform my sister."
Max nodded, wondering quietly whether or not vampire dna would even work in a dna test.
"I'll ask her if she's okay with that." He brought the last plates to the kitchen, opening the tab and getting some dish soap. Lucy was about to protest, but by seeing his determined look, she decided not to. Instead, she grabbed the towel so she could dry the cleaned dishes.
"What was she like before all this?" Max asked, as he placed a soapy cup on the counter.
"She's always been a bit quiet, but she did have a, well, you know, quite a temper, pulling pranks. She knew how to have fun. Oh, and she was such a wonderful singer!"
Max smiled, a hint of sorrow apparent in it. Not once had he heard her sing, not even after returning her voice.
"She also liked cooking. Whenever she stayed with me, she'd always love to help."
"I'm afraid she's not longer like that," Max said honestly, looking at Lucy. "The people who took her, they broke her. They took a lot from her. It's been almost a year now since I fostered her, and she's come very far in that time."
Lucy nodded. "You're a good man, Max. Not many would do what you did."
"I'm certain you'd do the exact same thing, Lucy."
The woman blushed, a shy smile on her face. "Well..."
Max grinned, looking at her. "May I propose that we'll have dinner again, tomorrow. At my place. I believe Sam isn't quite ready yet to see you dating someone."
"I am so sorry about him, I really don't know what has gotten into that boy!"
"He's probably just scared I am going to replace his father," Max shrugged, "It's normal for boys his age to act like that."
"Well, if you're certain. But I would love to have dinner at your place." She gave him a small peck on his cheek. "And please tell Julie that if she wants to join, she absolutely can. I don't want her to feel unwelcome in her -" she paused for a second, realising the truth of her words, "her own home."
Max smiled, nodding. "Will do. I'll see you tomorrow at seven."
Dwayne didn't say anything as he sat down next to the weeping girl, gently pulling her closer. "Just let it all out," he said softly as his hand brushed absentmindedly through her hair. Julie didn't say anything as she cried and cried, and after a good thirty minutes, there was not a single tear left in her body.
"What has gotten you so upset?"
"Everything," Julie looked at him. "Everything is just so - my friend was killed, Maria is leaving town, I haven't seen any of you for ages, Max is dating a woman who happens to be my aunt but I barely remember her and it is so awkward and weird, and then her son seems to know about vampires and seems to be determined that either Max or I are vampires, and then David also acts like an asshole towards me and I just don't know why."
"I didn't think you wanted to see me. You were quite cold yourself when I came to check on you."
Julie nodded quietly, knowing that that was true.
"What scares you most about Max dating this woman?"
"That it's true," she said quietly. "That my mom really is out there, but that I don't remember her correctly or at all. Or that she'll think that Max hurt me, while all he did was safe me."
Dwayne nodded, thinking about an answer. "Sounds to me like you're just scared to see your mum again. I don't think she'd care about Max, I think she'd just be happy to see you again."
David was quiet as he saw Star feed, finally making her first kill. He had given her an ultimatum, and he felt a quiet satisfaction that she had finally agreed to do it. Things had been a mess lately. He had already admitted to himself that even though Star wasn't necessarily his type, there was something about her that made him want to be around her.
And then she brought Michael in. David shook his head, wondering if he ever could manage to get him to feed.
He distanced himself from Star, waiting next to a telephone box. Inside the phone was ringing. David stepped inside, closed the door, and picked up the horn.
"I assume you did as we demanded."
"Yes." Was all he answered, a sense of dread spreading through his bones. This was bad, he knew. Really bad.
When the Frogs got home later that night, leaving Sam behind at his place, they were certain of one thing. That girl had been a vampire, and that man was her protector. And it was their task as junior vampire hunters to do something about it. They grinned as they looked at each other, gathering the stakes they'd made.
Tomorrow, they'd slay a vampire.

Places daughter reader would go to get away from them
Tumblr media
Dwayne
Tumblr media
It’s extremely rare that you want to get away from Dwayne
He’s definitely your favourite father
But sometimes even he can become too much for you
His protective and possessive nature can overwhelm you sometimes even if he does his best to conceal it from you
So sometimes to get away from him and give the two of you some space- you go to the front of the concert stage
Dwayne is the second oldest of the vampire group and when he turned he noted that his hearing was much more sensitive then the others
David had explained to him about vampiric hearing and sometimes it is increased if you already had sensitive ears
So Dwayne doesn’t like being around sounds that’s surround him like concerts
He’d be fine in the middle or at the back but at the front it hurts him too much
So when he’s getting to much you treat yourself to some tickets to see whatever band was playing and you stand to the front and refuse to move
Dwayne worries it’ll damage your hearing so eventually he’ll send marko or Paul to collect you but if you refuse he’ll wait until the concert ends to apologise or scold you depending on your actions
It’s very rare that you do this though
Marko
Tumblr media
Sometimes it feels like you should always be away from marko
He’s extremely controlling, especially in your teenage years
He also gives extremely embarrassing punishments, better then David’s though
So whenever you needed to get away from him, you go to the local hospital
You don’t go in your just sit inside the waiting room for a while with a book
If anyone asked you, you’d just say that you were waiting for someone
Marko hates hospitals
He hates the smell of them and the general atmosphere freaks him out
He was turned in a hospital after a very near death experience so he doesn’t have the fondest memories
If you go in he’ll be pissed
Not only are you trying to get away from him, your weaponising his fear
He’ll wait outside the hospital until you eventually get kicked out and when you do you’ll get an earful
He’ll scold you until he’s blue in the face, well he would if he actually breathed
You’ll be given a punishment but it’ll be a light one considering Dwayne will try and talk some sense into him
Paul
Tumblr media
It’s rare for you to want to get away from Paul, considering he’s never around
But in your teenage years, he’ll start to be around more
But when he is, he’s high or he’s babbling about how his abandonment wasn’t that bad
It can get a bit much for you
He left you on and off for most of your childhood and he expects you to want to be around him when he finally starts to give a shit?
Fuck if that’s happening
When you want to get away from Paul you go to max’s video store
Paul is terrified of max ever since he lost you when you were younger and he got a furrow punishment and beating for it by max
Maxs store is like your safe haven
You go into the back and stick on a tape and curl up on the staff room couch
You’ve met his worker, Maria, and she’s sweet
She’ll bring you snacks and sometimes join you on her breaks
Max will even join you and cuddle with you while watching a movie
Paul will glare at you through the shops window but he’ll quickly back down once max spots him and gives him a vampiric glare back
He’ll ask marko and Dwayne to get you to come out but they will get turned around by max and sent back out
Paul doesn’t want to drag David into it because he isn’t that angry so he’ll just wait for you to leave
Eventually you’ll go and he’ll silently lift you onto the back of his motorcycle and drive you both back in silence
Once he’s back, he’ll hug you hard and let you leave silently as he goes to get High
Sometimes you’ll sit with him and lay on his chest as he gets to high to understand what’s going on
You sometimes like it when he’s high, it means you don’t have to understand his abandonment
You just like having him around sometimes
David
Tumblr media
David and you argue a lot
Like to the point you can’t sit in a room together sometimes
He prods and you’ll take the bait and start to get angry
He can be hurtful in these times and say things that he knows he doesn’t mean but that doesn’t stop him
So when you want to get away from him, you go to the local church
Your not religious, not after the things you’ve seen and done
You just like that none of the boys can enter a church
The nuns are kind to you and you even met the pastors daughter, faith
She got on your nerves at first
She saw the way you dressed and assumed that you “weren’t following gods path”
She annoyed you about it for a while until you found her crying once night and decided to comfort her
She stopped pestering you after that and you even had a friendship start to bloom
David would wait for you back at the cave but if you were seriously In trouble, he’d sit on the from steps just outside the door
The nuns try to shoo him away but he doesn’t budge
When you leave, he’s there waiting for you
He’ll think of a punishment while he drives you back to the cave
Until then it’s just a silent understanding between the two of you that you want to get away from him
Your visits to the church only get more frequent as you grow older

Maria may be lonely, but she supposes it's nothing less than she deserves.
Before, just thinking of everything that's happened over the past few weeks had been so agonizing that she'd wanted nothing more than to tear out her hair and scream until she couldn't anymore. Now, that feeling may have dulled a little, and she's even been able to smile again since, yet... it doesn't feel like healing. Though the threat of eternal night may have passed, to Maria, the world still feels darker than ever.
But it's not like she isn't trying to move forward. Maria still doesn't want to throw away the things she values or let herself become useless in the face of injustice - and for that reason, she needs to find the strength inside her to go on; to find something worth living for even when she's now on her own. ...Well, maybe she's not entirely alone. There's Juste, who did save her life and call her family, even if he doesn't quite understand her in the way she wishes someone would. And then there's Alucard...
Maria doesn't really know how to feel about him. His stoic nature makes him difficult to read, and she never had the chance to speak much with him at all - all she really knows about him is that he's a half-vampire and the son of Dracula. But maybe that lack of knowledge is what's been making her so curious. Has he ever struggled with his nature as a dhampir, and as the son of someone who hurt and killed so many? Did it hurt him, to kill his father with his own hands? Has he doubted himself or doubted the world he lives in? Has he ever felt lonely?
...It's difficult to imagine someone as legendary as him as someone who lives and feels like the rest of them, but Maria knows that thinking that way is unfair. Deep down, though... maybe it's just that a part of her wants to hope that maybe he could understand. Their stories may not be the same, but the similarities between their circumstances - no matter how slight - are enough to make her want to confide in him, even with the possibility that she'll be let down. But in the end... she doesn't really know how to ask, or if she even can.
Tumblr media
"Are you staying, then? Or are you going with Richter?" Gazing out over the horizon, she sits next to Alucard, watching the world as it goes by - a world utterly oblivious to her feelings. "Or are you going to travel again? Juste said that's what you were doing before."

BLOOD LIKE POISON (I)- LEGACIES
Tumblr media
Summary: Faith Mikaelson has always felt different from her sister. She felt as if there was ominous inside of her that she was sure Hope didn't feel. After losing their parents the two siblings became a lot closer. Whether it was the fact that they didn't want to risk losing each other as well or because they realized that they only had each other left, they did everything they could to protect each other. But things get a lot more difficult when a creature named Malivore starts sending monsters to the Salvator boarding school which forces the students to fight the monsters in order to protect themselves. During this inevitable battle, Faith finds someone who she ends up making an unexpected connection with and she finds out that she may not be as alone as she originally thinks.

'WHEN WE'RE YOUNG, WE'RE TAUGHT the distinction between a hero and a villain, good and evil, a savior and a lost cause.
But what if the only real difference is just who's telling the story?
My name is Faith Mikaelson.
I come from a long line of the villains in the tales you've heard about vampires, werewolves, witches, and everything in between.
The school behind these gates protects the secrets of people like me. And tonight, under the light of the full moon, we will be opening our doors to someone new.'
Tumblr media
"RAFAEL SERIOUSLY, IT'S NOT RIGHT," Landon tells his friend with a chuckle.
"It is what it is, Landon," Rafael said.
"You're not Catholic. You shouldn't have to confess your sins." Landon argued.
"I tossed a lawnmower through the patio doors, bruh. If apologizing to God gets Hector and Maria off of my back, so be it."
They walked up to the church and went in.
"Buenas tardes, Father Pietro," Rafael says as they meet the priest.
"Buenas tardes, Rafael. Por favor, pray with me."The priest returns. Rafael gets in a kneeling position.
"Landon, you can leave now. It's okay, we can take it from here." Hector says.
"I'm good, Hector," Landon argues.
"Landon, this is between your foster brother and God, okay?" Maria tells Landon walking closer to him.
"Hey, I got it, bro. Just wait outside." Rafael reassures. Landon sighs but obeys. He walks out of the building and puts in his earbuds to listen to music while sitting on the steps. Hector and Maria make sure he's out there before putting a chain on the door and locking it.
"Spiritus Sanctus. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst..." The priest then started chanting words in Latin.
"What's going on here? What?" Rafael became wary with what the priest was chanting "What are you doing?!" Rafael exclaimed when Hector and Maria grabbed him holding him still. With the priest still chanting Rafael's bones started breaking. He screamed and grunted in pain. He then collapsed to the ground and when he looked up his eyes were glowing and his fangs came out.
Landon looked up when he heard tires screeching in front of him.
He then looks up to see Hope and Faith getting out of the car along with Alaric.
"Landon?" Hope and Faith inquired as they walked up to him.
"Hope? Faith?" He asked shock written on his face.
"You three know each other?" Alaric asked once he walked up to join them.
"Long story," Hope replied bluntly.
"Yeah," Faith agreed.
They all looked to the church as they heard yelling and glass breaking inside.
"Dr. Saltzman," Hope said.
"Yeah, I'm on it," Alaric replied going to open the door only to find it locked. He looked back at Hope and Faith. "Doors are locked."
"Dissera portus!" Hope and Faith chanted spreading their arms in an open motion. The doors flew open making the chains break off.
"You're gonna want to stay out here, Landon, trust me," Hope told the boy who looked shocked while entering the church.
When they walked in they saw the priest holding a cross in front of Rafael while chanting.
"Shut down the exorcist, would you?" Alaric asked.
"Silencio," Faith said making the priest stop chanting. "Ad somnum." The priest dropped his cross and fell to the ground along with Hector and Maria. Alaric, Hope, and Faith crouched down by Rafael while Alaric pulled some chains out of the bag he brought.
"Help me..." Rafael grunted out. He started to grow claws. "What's happening?" He asked terrified.
"My God," Landon muttered when he entered the church.
"Help me..." Rafael repeated while transforming more and more with every minute.
Hope, Faith, and Alaric rushed over to chain him to the ground.
"Easy does it. Easy, now." Alaric said while he finished placing the chain on him; whilst Hope and Faith already finished. He then stepped back and Rafael was fully transformed growling and snarling at them.
Landon had a shocked look on his face.

IT WAS DAYTIME NOW AND FAITH, Hope, Alaric, Landon, and Rafael were all driving back to the boarding school in Mystic Falls. Hope was seated in the passenger seat, and Faith was in the back in between Landon and Rafael.
"How do you guys know each other?" Alaric asked breaking the silence.
"He used to serve us milkshakes at the Mystic Grill," Hope replied glancing at Landon.
"Peanut Butter Blast. Whipped cream on the bottom," He said looking at Hope then glanced at Faith. "Mint chocolate chip. With extra whipped cream." Hope looked back at him and smiled along with Faith.
"We danced once." He said referring to himself and Hope.
"We tried," Hope corrected with a laugh, and Faith chuckled lightly at the memory. "And then you moved away."
"Then you both made a door blow off its hinges with your brain. Do you feel like explaining that?"
"Not really." Faith muttered under her breath, but since Landon was right next to her he heard anyway.
"Oh, we'll explain everything. We're almost there." Alaric replied.
"Where are we going?" Landon asked.
"Somewhere safe," Alaric said as they reached the boarding school.
Tumblr media
"WELCOME TO THE SALVATORE SCHOOL," Lizzie greeted standing beside Josie at the school's entrance. "We're your tour guides."
"I'm Josie,"
"I'm Lizzie, sisters,"
"Twins,"
"Fraternal. Obvs."
"Rafael why don't you go ahead with the girls while I talk to Landon," Alaric suggested.
The Saltzman twins went to link arms with Rafael. "Morning, Hope." They said sarcastically in unison. "Morning, Faith." They sang in a genuine tone. Faith gave a smile and waved to them.
"Morning, girls," Hope said with the same enthusiasm she got while giving Faith a questioning look to which she just shrugged.
"More like despair," Lizzie muttered.
"I heard that," Hope called.
"No, you didn't," Lizzie said walking away.
"Didn't have to," Hope said. Faith just shook her head at their behavior.
"Everyone, behave," Alaric ordered.
"Love you, Dad." Lizzie and Josie called before leaving.
"So, let's get started," Alaric said motioning towards the doors of the building.
As they entered, Alaric asked a question to Landon. "I'm curious Landon— slow down," He told some kids who were running by, "—were you aware of us when you lived in Mystic Falls?"
"Uh, I knew Hope and Faith went to some fancy boarding school." He replied. "People in town said it was for troubled rich kids. I see the rich part is true." He explained staring at a little girl floating books. "Nobody in town mentioned anyone here could do that."
They entered Alaric's office. "No one in Mystic Falls knows much about us. We blend in just enough. Participate and contribute just enough. Keeps people from asking too many questions." Alaric explained.
"What is there to know exactly?" Landon inquired.
Alaric looked to Hope and Faith. "Well, I used to have a speech prepared, carefully unpeeling the layers of mystical history, but it turns out most people have read Harry Potter and are actually cool with me skipping the tee-up."
"You're a school for magic?" Landon asked incredulously.
"We are a school for the supernatural, which covers a lot of territory. Everyone here has something that makes them special in ways that the outside world... wouldn't understand."
"So, what are you guys?" Landon asked looking the girls over curiously.
"This could take a while to explain," Faith muttered.
"We should get to class," Hope announced gazing at her sister who just evenly met her gaze.
"No. No. Sorry. I don't mean to be a dick, but I don't know you," He said looking at Alaric. "And though the image of you whamming a priest is still fresh, I need you guys here." He said looking at both the girls, but mostly wishing Hope would stay. "Just tell me what all that was in the church last night."
"What do you think it was?" Hope asked.
"Well, as best as I can reason, either I've lost my mind or werewolves are real."
Hope, Faith, and Alaric glanced at one another.
"Th—this is beyond insane. How is that even possible?"
"It's a long story, involving an ancient vengeful witch and a bloodline curse. We cover all that in Origins of the Species, grade six." Alaric told him.
"In sixth grade at my school, we learned the state capitals," Landon stated making Faith and Hope laugh.
"We teach that, too," Hope said.
"I have some questions about Rafael," Alaric stated.
"Like what?"
"Well, let's start with who he killed recently."
"Why would you ask me that?"
"The werewolf gene lies dormant until the carrier takes a human life," Alaric explained. "If Rafael triggered his curse, it's... because he killed someone. And we don't accept cold-blooded killers into our program."
"He's not a killer," Landon said getting defensive.
"We're not trying—" Hope started.
"He's not... a killer," Landon repeated.
"Well, I know a little bit about his background." Alaric started. "Neglectful birth parents. Orphaned in adolescence. Six foster homes in seven years. Prone to fits of anger." He listed and Faith felt some pity for the boy.
"Yeah, you could just as easily be reading my file— that's what it's like out there for people like him and me." Landon exasperated.
"Landon, l know this is a lot to take in right now, but we're only trying to help," Hope said. "Faith and I have been going here since we were seven. This is a safe place for people like Rafael. It's a home."
"Yeah, Landon just let us help him out." Faith tried to reason with him. "He'll do well here. He'll be okay."
"But... if we take him in, we need to make sure that he is not a threat," Alaric said.
"His girlfriend..." Landon sighed. "Cassie. Last month... he was driving, there was a storm, he took a turn too fast. And then he started acting out. At first, I thought it was just grief. And then maybe... maybe drugs or something. And then he threw a 200-pound lawnmower 50 feet across the yard. That was when our foster parents called in the priest. I guess they thought he was possessed by the devil."
"All of that is... consistent with a newly triggered wolf. It's normal. Thank you for that, Landon." Alaric explained. "Oh." He looked to Hope and Faith.
"Everything's gonna be okay. I promise." Hope said walking up to Landon and reassuring him.
"We're ready," Faith called out. The door opened and in came M.G.
"Landon Kirby, Milton Greasley," Alaric introduced as M.G. walked over.
"Come on, Dr. Saltzman," M.G. said indicating that Alaric uses his preferred title— M.G.
"Right. M.G. I'm sorry. Take it from a guy named Alaric. I get it. Landon, M.G. is my student aide." Alaric explained.
"He's also a vampire," Faith added.
"Of course he is," Landon mused. "You know, for a school with a secret to keep, you're kind of liberal with your information."
"Well, we don't actually intend for you to remember any of it," Alaric confessed making Landon confused.
M.G. put his hand on Landon's shoulder, looked deeply into his eyes, and started to compel him. "Forget everything you've seen or learned since last night. All you need to know is that your friend has found a home where he can live a better life. You'll miss him. But you know it's for the best."
Landon roughly removed M.G.'s hand from his shoulder and said, "Are you three out of your minds? How could I forget any of this?"
"What the hell?" Faith exclaimed confused as to how the compulsion didn't work.
"M.G. did you do it wrong?" Hope quickly asked.
"No, I didn't do it wrong," M.G. argued. "It's the easiest vampire trick in the book."
"Well, it didn't work." Hope snapped back.
"Obviously it didn't work." Landon tries to leave the office but M.G. vamp-sped in front of him and grabbed his neck applying pressure until he passed out. They hurried over to them.
"Careful. Get him to the cellar. This is not good this is bad." Alaric said as he opened the door for M.G. to drag Landon out. Hope stared at them with worry in her eyes and Faith just placed a hand on her shoulder in a comforting manner. Hope sent her a small thankful look.
Tumblr media
FAITH LEFT HOPE TO TALK TO LANDON alone and meet up with Lizzie and Josie.
Faith saw them heading to the field with Rafael and went up to them.
"Alyssa Chang made a broom fly in physics last year, but Rick Rogers fell 30 feet during practice, so real-life Quidditch remains an elusive pipe dream," Faith heard Lizzie say. "It's called Wickery. My parents invented it when we were ten."
"Hey. Josie. Lizzie." Faith called when she reached them.
"Hey, Faith." They said in unison.
"And..." She said pointing to Rafael. "Rafael, right?"
"Yeah," He replied with a small polite smile still looking overwhelmed by everything, and Faith couldn't blame him. "Nice to meet you, Faith."
"Same to you," Faith said returning the smile.
"Come on, Faith, sit with me and M.G.," Josie said linking her arm with Faith's.
"Ok," Faith told her starting to walk off with her. "See ya, Liz. You as well, Rafael."
"Bye, Faith," Lizzie said while Rafael gave a small wave.
Faith and Josie walked over to where M.G. was seated and unlinked their arms when they sat down on opposite sides of him.
"Yo," M.G. called to them. "Giving up dibs on the new guy so quickly?" He directed to Josie.
Josie smiled while looking at Rafael as she replied, "It's not a competition."
"Yeah, Jo, because if it was, no offense, you would lose to Lizzie," Faith told her to which Josie gave her a look. "Come on. I'm sorry, but you know it's true."
"Plus..." She started again lightly glaring at Faith and ignoring her previous comment. "I'm still nursing a wounded soul."
"Hmm. Penelope Park." M.G. said.
"We don't mention her name anymore, remember?" Josie reminded making M.G. chuckle and apologize.
"Then how about we just call her bitch? That works too, right?" Faith asked with a small grin on her face, trying to lighten the mood. Which worked when she heard Josie and M.G. chuckle.
After a moment of silence, M.G. asked Josie something, "Do you think he'll go for her?"
"Probably. They usually do." Josie said while glancing at Lizzie and Rafael again.
"Don't worry about it too much Jo, we can be single, depressed souls together." Faith sighed out dramatically looking over to Josie. "No one goes for me either."
"Oh please, Faith. Remember Dylan or Rowan," M.G. started listing off the guys who tried to ask out Faith but got rejected.
"Ok, M.G., I meant people who are actually good for me," Faith argued grimacing at the thought of them all. "Point is, Josie, you're an incredible person and soon enough you're gonna find someone for you, alright?"
"Okay, thanks." She said with a small smile. Faith looked back over to where Lizzie was and saw Rafael getting up, the former looking sad. Faith knew that wouldn't end well.
"Oh. I forgot I was supposed to be training with Dr. Saltzman right now— bye guys." Faith said to them quickly getting up.
"Bye Faith."
"I'll talk to you later."
Tumblr media
RIGHT NOW FAITH WAS WATCHING AS Hope and Alaric sparred waiting for it to be her turn.
"You didn't have to lock him in a cellar," Hope said angrily stopping for a moment.
"Where else was I gonna put him?" Alaric asked trying to send a right hook to Hope who just dodged. Alaric tried to punch her again but she backed up. "Block with your hand."
"I got it," Hope called back annoyed. Faith just rolled her eyes at her sister's stubbornness.
"If you had it I wouldn't have to say it." Alaric said walking past her and throwing another right hook to which Hope just grabbed his arm and pushed him forward. He quickly regained his composure and Hope threw a left hook which he went back to dodge she then swung her right arm grabbed it and held it behind her back.
"Dimiterre," Hope muttered causing Alaric to flip over her head. Hope then did a backflip and pinned him down.
"Cheater!" Faith exclaimed at the same time as Alaric. Hope only looked over to Faith smirking then looked down to Alaric.
"You should really let a vampire start doing our training. You're getting a little old for me to break your human bones." Hope taunted.
"Speak for yourself I like Saltzman training," Faith said with a small smile.
"Thank you, Faith," Alaric replied giving a grateful smile in Faith's direction. Hope only rolled her eyes as Faith stuck her tongue out at her. Hope then helped Alaric up as he asked, "You and Landon, you a thing or something?"
"I don't have things," Hope replied while they continued to spare.
"Yes, I'm well aware of your quest to avoid all emotional intimacy. There was obviously something."
"I liked him. He's normal."
"Well, let's keep him that way. We survive here because we follow the rules. We can't get sloppy about it." Alaric explained walking over to his water bottle and handing Hope hers.
"You're the one that's always telling us that we need to get out more," Hope said with a chuckle.
And Alaric was right about that. Hope is hardly social, and doesn't really talk to anybody but her sister. Faith has a few friends but she mostly likes the stay by her sister's side, because she feels that if Hope is suffering she should stick around to help her get through it. For another valid reason as well, but what Faith doesn't put into thought to recognize is that she's also suffering inside but trying to push down the emotions and put on a brave face, if that's for herself or her sister she doesn't know.
"I tell you both that you need to stop locking yourselves in your dorm room binge-watching Cutthroat Kitchen and the Harry Potter series." He says taking a glance at Faith. "I don't tell you to go out and fraternize with the human locals." He directed to Hope.
"You know you can just be my headmaster. All this other stuff isn't in the job description." Hope said.
"Hope..." Faith muttered quietly.
"Attempt to make an actual friend here, and we could reevaluate this relationship," Alaric told Hope.
"Dad?" We turned our heads to see Josie standing there. "Cleanup on aisle 'L'."
Alaric sighed. "Want some help?" Faith offered.
"No, I think I got it." He told her walking away.

FAITH AND HOPE WALKED BACK TO their dormitories and laid down getting ready for bed since it was late. Hope kept shifting in her bed gaining her sister's attention.
"That's getting annoying now." Faith muttered turning in bed to look at her sister getting fed up with all the movement.
"Sorry. It's just... should I go see him?" Hope asked her sister who just chuckled and replied,
"Go see him, Hope." Faith told her sister who muttered a quick 'yeah, ok' before getting up to leave.
"Hey, since I'm leaving, you wanna go with me," Hope asked because she knows how hard it is for herself and her sister to fall asleep.
"No thanks. I'll just stay here." Faith replied turning back around to get comfy, not wanting to be a third wheel in her sister's relationship.
"Okay."
Tumblr media
HOPE WAS IN THE LIBRARY WITH Landon showing him some books. She had left to grab a book and come back. "The blood that runs through Faith and I's veins isn't human. Our dad was one of the earth's Original Vampires." Hope sat the book down on the table in front of Landon.
"Was?" Landon repeated.
"Was," Hope confirmed. "Turns out even immortal beings can find a way to die eventually."
" 'Klaus Mikaelson: The Great Evil'." Landon read.
"He wasn't very popular around here."
"One of my foster dads used to burn us with his cigarettes. I guess evil is relative." Landon confessed and Hope looked at him sadly.
Hope tried to change the subject, "Our mother was a werewolf alpha."
"There's that 'was' again," Landon observed.
"The people that I care about have a tendency to die on me," Hope told him solemnly.
"What about Faith? You still have her." Landon asked.
"Yeah. I do. And she's amazing, and I love her. But we're around each other most of the time, and what would happen if she decided to leave me like everyone else? Surely, she'll find someone else to stand by and give up on me... or she could leave the same way our parents did." Hope cleared her throat and sighed trying to momentarily get rid of the sadness. "I try not to get close to people anymore, my twin sister is an exception."
"Yeah, I can see that."
"Um, our grandmother was a witch. So, all those things passed down, making us—"
"Unicorns?" Landon joked.
"A hybrid of three different creatures, tri-brid. I can control when I turn, which is what I was doing tonight." Hope explained. "We're the only ones of our kind."
"Yeah. See? Unicorns." Landon repeated making Hope laugh.
"Can I show you something?" Hope asked. "Earlier, you mentioned the jock that had messed with you the day that we danced," Hope mentioned walking close to Landon putting her hands by his neck, and showing him a memory.
Connor dumps his drink on the table in front of Landon and throws the lid at him. He then laughs and sarcastically says, "I'm so sorry." He and his friends then get in the car and drive off
"That's the guy," Landon said. "You can just dial up one of my memories like that?"
"It's not you're memory. It's mine." Hope told him.
Connor was with some of his friends while he was washing his car. Hope and Faith then raised their hands and started chanting. The car freezes over and all the windows break. Everybody starts gasping. "My car! Oh my god!" Connor starts freaking out. Hope and Faith start smirking and then fist bump.
"You both did that for me?" Landon asked.
"He had it coming," Hope replied softly as they stared at each other intently. Hope then broke the silence and cleared her throat, "Plus, Faith said she also did it for herself because Connor winked at her."
"Oh, yeah. Understandable."
"Um, we shouldn't be in here after curfew," Hope said removing her hands from Landon's neck. "We should get you back before anyone knows that you're gone."
Tumblr media
THE NEXT DAY FAITH AND HOPE watched as Landon said his goodbye to Rafael before leaving the school. He hugged Rafael goodbye before walking off. Faith turned to her sister, "You gonna miss him?" She asked with a grin already knowing the answer.
"Yeah. And he um... he kissed me." Hope muttered with a big grin on her face.
"Wha— and you're just now telling me this!" Faith exclaimed.
"Faith you were sleeping and I didn't want to wake you, because then you'd keep me up all night and ask me about it." Hope explained certainly.
"Pffftt... I wouldn't do that." Faith denied swatting her hand at her sister's accusation. Hope gave her sister a look to which she caved, "Alright! Well, was he at least a good kisser?!"
Tumblr media
"HOW DO YOU KNOW IT WAS HIM?" Hope asked Alaric. Hope, Faith, and Alaric went to talk somewhere private because apparently, Landon stole an ancient knife.
"Ancient artifact goes missing along with too-good-to-be-true hapless human? You do the math, Hope." Alaric argues.
"That would make him a liar, okay? I've known my fair share of those, and there was nothing about him... "
"Yeah. Landon's a good guy." Faith said agreeing with Hope.
"Hope, Faith... " Alaric muttered.
"No, you don't understand. There's no way that the one time that I choose to get close to someone, they turn out to be a liar. It's not possible, okay? I'm not that stupid." Hope said.
"When he walked out that door, we compelled him to go home," Alaric told them.
"So?" Faith inquired.
"So he didn't. It's the first place we checked. And if he didn't go home, that means his memory wasn't erased. He was just pretending that it was. If his mind can't be controlled by a supernatural being, then that only means one thing." Alaric explained. "That he is a supernatural being."
Tumblr media
ALARIC DECIDE TO HAVE AN ASSEMBLY and let the students there in on what's happening with Landon. "For ten years we've gone undetected. Protecting you, and protecting our secret has been our singular mission. Tonight I need your help to find Landon Kirby... before he exposes us all." Students then start whispering amongst themselves.
Faith and Josie were walking to Josie's dormitory to study and hang out. They then heard M.G. call them, "Jo! Faith!"
"We're not talking to you," Faith said not bothering to turn around to look at him or stop walking. Josie told Faith about what M.G. did with Penelope and she was shocked and even slightly angry with him. Josie just nodded in agreement.
"Hold on. I'm sorry." He said causing Josie and Faith to stop walking and turn around to look at him. "Alright? I'm an ass. You-know-who, she puts those sex herbs in her weed, and I had a... a momentary lapse of judgment."
"Why does everyone find her so special?" Josie asked.
"She's not special," M.G. said. "She's just... available,"
"Come here," M.G. said going in to hug Josie. He muttered into the hug, "Don't hate me, okay?" He then turned to Faith opening his arms again, "Can I give you one?" He asked.
"Fine," Faith said as she went to hug him.
Faith pulled away from the hug. "Bye, M.G."
M.G. bid both of the girls goodbye then took his leave. Faith turned to Josie who was staring at her ex. She was going to tell her to stop staring but then saw as she muttered something under her breath. Suddenly Penelope's jacket caught on fire. She tried to put it out to no avail so her friends helped her.
"Josiette Saltzman." Faith scolded in disbelief.
"What?"
"I should have been the one to do that," Faith said as she slightly pouted. They started to walk away again neither aware of the other tri-brid watching them.
Tumblr media
"I NEED YOUR HELP," Hope said as she walked into the doorway of Josie's dorm. Faith looked up from her book hearing her sister's voice.
"Three more words to me than your annual average," Josie stated not looking up from the book she was getting. "Find someone else. We're studying." She said sitting on her bed next to Faith book in hand. Hope then fully entered the room and closed the door behind her.
"This stuff with Landon is my fault." Hope stated. "I can fix it. I know how to track him, but it involves using dark magic."
"No. We're not doing that, Hope." Faith told her.
"Yeah, and we're not allowed to use dark magic here anyway, so..." Josie agreed.
"Says the girl who just lit her ex on fire," Hope said.
Josie gave Hope a look. "Are you blackmailing me?"
"Hope!" Faith exclaimed. "Seriously?"
"No. No, I'm just looking for a kindred spirit in revenge." Hope said trying to act innocent.
"Sounds like blackmail to me." Faith said glaring at her sister.
"Right," Josie said. They all grabbed the ingredients they needed for the spell. Josie lit a match and lit the candles with it. Hope grabbed a rat out of a box, which made Faith grimace at the sight of it.
"Sorry," Hope said before killing it by breaking its neck. Faith then poured some herbs over the spell pages as Hope held the blade to the rat. She then sliced the rat open and dripped its blood over the pages.
"Are you sure about this?" Josie asked looking uneasy.
"Absolutely," Hope replied.
"I'm not," Faith said with a sarcastic smile, but the look Hope gave her made her quickly shut up. They then joined hands and started chanting.
"Inveniet hostium et tenebrae. Inveniet hostium et tenebrae. Inveniet hostium et tenebrae." They could feel the wind blowing from the spell.
"Do you see anything?" Josie asked Hope and Faith.
"Just flashes," Hope replied. "Come on, give me something."
"I got it. Route 29." Faith said.
"Near the state line." Hope confirmed.
"Is that the knife?" Josie asked in question.
"Yeah." Hope and Faith told her at the same time.
"What's it doing?" Josie inquired.
"I don't know."
"I have no idea."
Tumblr media
FAITH, HOPE, ALARIC, AND MATT Donovan were all talking about the crime scene that happened on Route 29.
"Called in a favor with a buddy at State Patrol, asked him to lock down the scene
till we got here," Matt explained. "Local PD thinks it was a chemical spill."
"What's the actual story?" Alaric asked.
"I'll leave that to you to figure out," Matt said shrugging.
"Alright. Thanks, Sheriff."
They walked on the bus and saw all the people on it were burnt corpses.

Alucard and Maria's parallels.
I binge castlevania nocturne season 2 the second it came out and i just want to say it was amazing! i know season one was abit dull for other's but im glad that season 2 got better.
But back on the topic the parallel between alucard and maria through out season 2 was insane, especially if you watched the first castlevania series.
They only one direct interaction where their alone on ep 1 when maria asked about vampires and about alucards father especially on the part where alucard told her that he killed his father girl almost took it as an advice😭. (Maria: If he did it so can i)
So the parallel are they both kill their father's and lose their mother's. as for Maria i not sure it lost is the right term tera is a vampire and still around but she choose to distance herself away from maria. (Whats up with castlevania and nerfing mother's)
Alucard killed his father to save humanity and to avenge his mother's name.
Maria killed her father for revenge for sacrificing her mother and to also stop him from making anymore night creatures.
Two almost similar reasons why they killed their father's.
On another note is also how they handle it they both suffer from lost the anger and the termoil they went through. the only difference is maria had juste while alucard was alone.
Maria had time to mourn and grieve she went through it very early on and she had people around her to help. (Especially ritcher who didn't want to bring her along in paris because he worries she might do something reckless) she also had juste which i love he stuck by maria through and through.
Juste became a parental figure or guardian for maria, even when he said he doesn't know anything about teenage girls he was there for her even through out the fight with erzabeth.
As for Alucard he didn't have time with the world at stake and people dying left and right cities being ruined, he had to act first he pushed his emotions aside to get the job done to kill his father and end the madness Dracula's causing.
As for Alucard he was alone after the battle Trevor and sypha left to go find her family and to kill more vampires, and when alucard was alone only then was he able to cry (like that one scene inside his father's study)
This man went downhill he was completely alone he didn't have his friends nobody to support him or help him get through his suffering he was very vulnerable especially when the twins arrived. (fucking rats)
it just kept getting worse for Alucard when the twins came he thought he found people to stick by him, Alucard became attached because he didn't want to be alone but we all know how that went. (I HATE THOSE TWO!)
Maria had support she was able to go to grieve and be angry head on and process those emotions.
While Alucard was alone he face those emotions very later on and it left him emotional vulnerable and it got worse. (until the end things did get slightly better)
After the battle there's another very obvious parallel between them ritcher leaving and going with Annette which is also similar to trevor going with sypha.
They were both left behind while they stayed but there's also a difference.
Maria isn't completely alone she has juste and alucard.
While Alucard in the past was completely alone.
So that's what i can say for now i hope it made sense.

ASKS ABT UR CHARACTERS
!!!!!
Sorry this might be incredibly long lmao
Ok ok Sebastian is an 1000+ year old vampire who was sealed away in a magical coffin after being lied to by his best friend, Codrin. Basically Sebastian is obsessed with magic and wants to know as much as he possibly can. So sometimes Codrin would find spells and give them over to Sebastian but the last time he lied abt what the spell could do. The spell ended up killing a lot of people and the magic council (I don't have a name for them yet) decided it would be better to seal Sebastian away rather than to kill him. The coffin came with a handler too, that handler ended up being Codrin. And since Sebastian has a vast knowledge of magic, the council decided that they could let him out to kill monsters no one else could. But afterwards he couldn't just walked away, Codrin would make unbreakable deals that wouldn't allow Sebastian to leave. However, after centuries Codrin thought that they wouldn't have to make the deal anymore bc its been so long, he was very wrong. The moment Sebastian was able, he turned on Codrin and put him in the coffin then he buried him.
So then afterwards, Sebastian has to get used to this completely different society. But while he's trying to figure it out he got thrown in jail lmao and his guard is a guy named Apollo. Anyway Sebastian was able to escape fairly easy, which got Apollo fired (he was on his last strike). But when Apollo went for a walk he ran into Sebastian and was like "hey you got me fired so you owe me a job asshole" and Sebastian was like "fuck no I do not." So Apollo ends up joining him instead.
Anyway, the next village they went to was dying, there was some sort of sickness going around. But they don't have a lot of doctors or anyone who knows medicine. The only person who knew a little bit abt medicine was an apothecary in training, Lydia. She always had an interest in medicine and she wants to be able to help her younger brother. But she comes from a very small village, that's incredibly hard to find so doctors and apothecaries aren't common sp she had to leave to learn more. Anyway, Sebastian has knowledge on plants too bc most of them have some sort of magical property. So he was able to help the village and train Lydia a bit. But she also decides to tag along too.
And finally, on their way to the next village, a werewolf, Maria, attacks them. Sebastian was easily able to stop her and all he really wanted was to ask her questions. He's heard lots of rumors throughout his time, so he wanted to clear them up. Then after he got all the information he wanted, he just let her go. This really shocked Maria bc she is so used to violence and being on her own. But Lydia convinces her to join them (much to Sebastians dismay but overtime he starts to enjoy having them around).
Some extra lore:
As much as Sebastian hates Codrin, he's also scared of what he can do.
Sebastian gets a hug for the first time from his new friends and he just breaks down, like full on sobbing
Codrin gets dug up later by a group of farmers and makes it his mission to find Sebastian
Apollo wanted to own a library but his father wouldn't let him and instead forced him to be a guard
Maria got taken from her family at a young age and has been on her own for a long time, Sebastian and his group are the first people to show her kindness in a really long time
Sebastian acts cold and aloof but he's actually a sweetheart but it takes him a very very long time to trust people now (for obvious reason)
Lydia makes fantastic tea and she's hoping she can introduce her friends to her family. She didn't have a lot growing up

Passing the Torch - Part 17
Kenaz has gone by many names, but one must never be spoken. Traveling, on the run, for centuries. But the past is always bound to repeat itself.
Mistakes are my own, I will fix them eventually
Also, trigger warning for attempted suicide, I will put a ** when the scene begins and a ** after for those wanting to skip over it.
Tumblr media
---
Mystic Falls, 2010
Elijah broke the embrace, glancing back at Elena and attempting to rush at her through the door.
"Elijah." Kenaz scolded, grabbing onto his arm, "She just undaggered her and now you try to kill her." His jaw tightened as he regarded her. He knew she was right, but his anger was overruling his judgement. Elena's breathing was slightly shaky, probably from Elijah's lunge.
"What happened?" He asked before Elena hushed him, pointing up then to her ears. Stefan and Damon were sleeping upstairs, anything could wake them up.
"I'll tell you," She whispered, "Not here. Can I trust you?"
"Can I trust you?" He replied. They watched Elena think for a minute. Then, to their surprise, she handed Elijah the silver dagger. He took it, still gauging her movements. Once in his possession, he glanced back at Kenaz.
"She certainly knows what she's doing, doesn't she?"
Hungary, 1612
Her travels, running from the ones she had once called family, brought her back to a place where she had lost herself almost completely to bloodlust and murder. Katrina had come back, hearing word through the grapevine that someone she had turned was nearing the end of the line. Her once dear Elizabeth, one that she turned to take away from her husband's delights, had become sired to Kenaz. Elizabeth had made a name for herself in royalty. Going from a lowly peasant girl to compelling her way into Hungarian royalty. Elizabeth was smart and cunning as a human, and it was only amplified as a vampire.
So when Countess Elizabeth Báthory de Ecsed heard of Kenaz's arrival, she had invited her to her palace. At this time, Kenaz had also compelled herself as someone of importance. Baroness Katrina von Gutmann of Lichtenstein, accompanied by her ward, Anna Maria Johannasdottír. Anna Maria was a distant relation of her own blood. From her tracing, her father's uncle's son had made a name for himself in his travels, spreading their family far and wide. She had found Anna in an orphanage in Norway, taking the girl in as her own to teach her the ways of the world.
Katrina loved Anna as if she were her own, more than anything in the world. Her pale blonde hair complimented her blue eyes well. Her soft smile was enough to comfort her worries. She excelled in her studies at just eleven years, already fluent in several languages. Anna had potential.
And when Katrina had received this summons, Anna had begged to come with her.
She should have left her behind. Where it was safe.
-
"Oh my own heart!" Elizabeth had greeted Katrina with open arms, barely about to get their arms around each other due to their dresses puffiness.
"My goodness, Elizabeth, a duchess." Katrina smiled, "I would have never imagined." Elizabeth oulled away from the embrace and held her hands.
"And it is all thanks to you. You are the reason for all of this. And for that, I owe you everything." She gave her hands a final squeeze before sweeping her arm towards the grand throne room. Elizabeth's home was grand and everything that she had expected of a Duchess.
"Please, I invite you to stay as long as you like. We will have guests later for dinner, and of course, a private supper, just you and I." She opened her mouth to speak again, but she had caught the eye of Anna.
"My, my." There was a certain twinkle in Elizabeth's eyes. Her grin widened. "You didn't tell me you brought me a present." Anna seemed to tremble under the Duchess' stare, wringing her hands together in front of her.
Katrina chuckled lightly, breaking the tension and putting Anna at ease. She brought her ward close to her side, "No, no, this is my ward, Anna Maria. Anna, say hello."
"You have a beautiful home, your Grace." Anna said softly, giving a curtsey.
"Why thank you, Anna Maria." Elizabeth's eyes seemed to fixate on the soft pink blush in Anna's cheeks, "Such a pretty young thing."

Mystic Falls, 2010
After coming to the Lockwood mansion and compelling Carol to let them inside and give them space; Elijah, Elena, and Kenaz sat in the living room as she began to explain the events that had transpired since Klaus had arrived.
"So I assume that the Martin witches are no longer with us." Elijah said, looking quite dapper since he changed from his dirty and ripped suit to one of that once belonged to Mayor Lockwood.
"No." She mumbled, "I'm sorry."
"And Katerina? She would have been released from my compulsion when I died." The thought hadn't really occurred to her that Katerina wasn't in the tomb. She had been there a majority of the time since Kenaz had been made aware of her presence. But knowing how explosive Katerina and Klaus' personalities are, she wouldn't have been surprised if Klaus hadn't killed her.
"Klaus took her." She sighed, "We think she may be dead." Elena didn't seem too bummed at the thought of Katherine's demise. Then again, if Kenaz was plagued by an exact copy of herself hell bent on making her life miserable, she could understand the sentiment.
There was a little smirk on Elijah's face when he said: "I doubt that. Not Klaus' style. Death would be too easy for her after what she did." He glanced at Kenaz, "After what they did."
Kenaz received raised eyebrows from the girl, "You helped Katherine escape from Klaus?"
"At the time, I saw it as helping her escape." She huffed, "Now, however, it feels like I released a plague upon Virgina."
"I don't understand." Elena turned back to Elijah, "You say you want Klaus dead... But you still make Katherine pay for betraying him. Why not make her pay too?"
The smile that had been on his face fell, "I have my own reasons for wanting Katerina to pay. There was a time that I would have done anything for Klaus. Klaus is my brother."
"I heard that. I'm just still processing..." Her eyes widened.
"Yes, I'm a little behind on the time... But I believe the term you're searching for is O.M.G." He took a sip from the tea that Carol had brought them, a dedicated host. He glanced at Kenaz, a twinge of a smile returning, "As far as Kenaz goes..." He placed a hand on her knee and squeezed lightly after setting down his cup of tea, "There is an understanding between the two of us." He stood up, leaving Elena to look at her, an eyebrow raised.
Not wanting to go into too much detail, Kenaz kept it simple: "To make a long and depressing story short, Klaus betrayed us both in the worst ways possible. Some would say in the most personal way possible."
"Me and my family." Elijah looked in the mirror, adjusting the way the suit say against his frame.
"There's a whole family of Originals?" She asked.
"You didn't think it was just us three, did you?" Kenaz leaned back against the couch.
"My father was a wealthy landowner in a village in Eastern Europe. Our mother bore seven children."
"So..." Elena stood, hands on her hips, "Your parents were human?"
He turned to look at her, "Our whole family was. Our origin as vampires is a very long..." He looked at Kenaz, seeing how she seemed to stare into the distance, a hand absentmindedly on her stomach, "And painful story, Elena. Just know, we're the oldest vampires in the world. We are the original family and from us all vampires were created."
"Right, but Klaus is your brother." She stared at him incredulously, "And you want him dead?"
"I need some air." He said, beginning to walk away, "I'm still feeling a tad... dead." He walked passed her, "Come." Elena paused for a moment, but quickly followed. They left Kenaz in the sitting room, thinking about what had happened.
-
Mystic Falls, 10 AD
While Klaus went out in search for food, he put Elijah in charge of watching Kenaz. It was just hours after everything had happened. Hours since her life and the life of her child was lost forever. She sat on the floor of the hut, hugging her knees and rocking back and forth against the straw. Her pain was not physical but it felt like her ribs were being torn in two, the ache of heartbreak seemed to amplify.
Elijah had been standing for a while, pacing at some points, but after a while he decided to speak to her, to give her some sort of comfort.
"Kenaz... Perhaps... You could try again. Maybe bring a new generation of beings like us. Beings that will always be protected by the magic mother used to protect us."
"No." She said with no emotion, "There must be balance. Her spell broke the balance of life and death. And there are consequences. The dead cannot create life, only more death." She leaned back against the wall, gripping onto her oversized dress. The fabric at her belly had been stretched due to her child growing, and now it hung flat and misshapen.
"It is like I can still feel him kicking..." She hiccuped a sob, hallucinating bumps and kicks of a lively child inside her. "So desperate for life, to meet us, to breathe."
Elijah thought against for a moment, "What of an orphaned child? Maybe one from a village nearby?" He opened his mouth to say more, but a scream in the distance cut him off. Their heightened hearing allowed them to hear the snarling of their kin, creatures that lusted for blood, attacking helpless victims.
**
"It sounds as if Nik would rather create orphans than raise them." She muttered and stood, walking over to the nearby table, leaning against it. Without him noticing, she took hold of a dagger, a ritual dagger. Fitting.
"Kenaz... I-..." He thought for a moment but he sighed, "I am so sorry. I would do anything to save you from this heartbreak, but I cannot. So, if there be anything I could do to ease your suffering, please tell it to me."
She thought a moment, tightly gripping the wooden handed, "Do not stop me."
"I beg your pardon?" He asked quickly. Watching as she turned around, raising the dagger to her throat, preparing to drag the edge across her jugular vein.
In that moment, Niklaus appeared, drawing back the curtain of the hut to see his brother and his wife with a dagger.
"NO!" He appeared in front of her at lightning fast speeds, grabbing her wrist before she could make an attempt on her own life. Her eyes were wide, staring at him in shock. He had been just a few feet away, if at normal speed, he would not have been able to reach her in time. Elijah was breathing heavily, his arm that held hers seemed to shake.
**
"What hell is this?" He seethed, storming forward and shoving his brother away to look into his wife's eyes. She looked at him in horror, the dagger dropping from her hands. Instead of the face she loved, his eyes were that of a demon. His eyes appeared extremely bloodshot and dark, purple veins pulsing around his eyes. His mouth, stained with blood and sharp fangs in his smile.
Kenaz cried out in fear, stumbling back against the far wall of home.
"Wildflower-" He took a step towards her, his dark features fading away.
The smell of the blood that stained his mouth and clothes hit her sense, and when she caught her reflection in a bucket of rainwater. Her features matched his own, a side effect of their curse. They became monsters, so they looked like monsters. She screamed again, sliding down the wall and falling a part into a fit of panicked sobs.
"Leave." Klaus barked at his brother, his face hard. But when he went to his wife, his features softened. He kneeled in front of her, pulling her into his arms as she cried in fear of what they had become.

(You’re cruel for this one /j) (tw for abuse)
What relationship did your Tav have with their family/guardian(s) growing up? Has that changed with age?
Althaea did not have a good relationship with either of her parents growing up. Her father Varda was abusive, often using spells during his fits. He was abusive to Althaea and her mother, and Althaea’s mother Syelael grew to resent Althaea because of this, since Varda was a sweet man before she was born. She didn’t have much of a relationship with her little brother, being isolated from him for long periods of time and not being allowed around him unsupervised. He adored her though, and often asked about her when she was gone.
Beyond that, she knew a vampire named Maria, who helped take care of her and Syelael when they were hurt. Althaea considers Maria like a second mother due to her being so caring towards her and her being Syelael’s lover.
She ran away not long after she became an adult, so currently doesn’t have a relationship with any of them, but still hates her parents and still idolizes Maria.

Okay, how about not everyone has a Beauford twin? What about just the Cullens (one at a time)? Twincest? Changes?
(Also, I know it's the Volturi, so sorry for forgetting that last time)
The time Bella had an identical twin who was exactly the same except he's a dude.
Much more doable, anon, thank you.
That said, I think this is a write the fic question as I don't think you're going to like my answers. For the Cullens, you see, it doesn't matter.
Alice
Alice's backstory as a human is notable as she was sent to an insane asylum dude to shouting that her father was going to murder her based off visions she was having.
Now, per the ask, her brother Arthur has the same gift and is also as in the know as Alice, but in his case this either a) gets him sent to a different asylum than Alice per his gender or b) gets him murdered by their father and not sent to an asylum as the "hystical woman" card is less easily played when it's a man.
In either case, Arthur is in a different asylum that does not have a vampire employee. He dies human as Alice, when she is turned, does not remember his existence.
Decades later upon checking her history, Alice learns that Mary Alice Brandon had a twin brother who either a) was sent to a different asylum or b) died.
Carlisle
Carlisle grows up in the very weird household where despite having the same exact personality and looking identical, their father clearly favors his sister.
Carine Cullen is exactly what Father Cullen wants from a daughter and isn't involved in any of the parish leadership/telling people what to do.
Carlisle, however, is and this leads to the issues alluded to in canon.
When Carlisle is turned his sister is not in the mob that is likely predominately/entirely composed of men. As a result, when Carlisle turns, he is nowhere near her and only likely looks in from afar when he has things enough under control.
Carlisle's sister dies human, bereft of her father and her brother, and Carlisle has to live with having left her familyless as he became an immortal bloodsucking demon accidentally.
He probably doesn't get over it.
Edward
Elizabeth Masen gives her dying words, "Save my son by any means necessary."
Carlisle blinks, "Elizabeth, you have a daughter, don't you?"
I joke but even if Elizabeth insisted on saving both (or her daughter instead), Carlisle has never turned anyone before, and he's very leery of doing it the first time despite being so lonely.
He would not be able to control two newborns on his own.
He can only turn one.
However, how can he justify to the survivor that he let their sibling die, this isn't the same as the person's parents already having died. Carlisle would be saying "I chose you to live"
I imagine Carlisle chooses not to turn either because of this.
Twilight doesn't happen because there's no Edward or Edith.
Emmett
Emmett thinks his sister's the shit. They have a great time together, she's almost as strong as he is! However, only one of them is likely to be mauled by bears and only one of them gets hauled down the mountain.
Upon turning Emmett/Emily will insist on turning the other, but everyone will draw a hard line at that because a) two newborns at a time b) this is a terrible existence to force on your sibling who has their entire life ahead of them.
"Well, shit" Emmett/Emily says, but at least they get a hot boyfriend/girlfriend out of this.
Esme
Esme's never turned.
Esme may, in fact, never get married depending how this goes.
I imagine she'd seek refuge with her brother, Earnest, who is as kind and earnest as his name allows. Either she chooses not to marry at all and goes to live with him doing what she can so as not to marry Charles or when she leaves Charles escapes to him.
Her son could very well survive with this support, if he doesn't, she may survive with her brother's support in her time of grief.
If not, she's in the wrong morgue.
Jasper
Jasper's sister does not get to sign up for the war and as a result is not eaten by Maria. Given Jasper didn't go back for any of his family, I doubt he goes back for his twin sister.
They never see each other again.
Renesmee
See this post
Rosalie
Now this one's interesting.
Rosalie was raised to social climb as she was her family's only daughter and only shot at a higher social tier with her beauty and her wit. Now the family has an equally intelligent, charming, and attractive son.
I imagine Rosalie's still pushed into her role and that she still initially has her eye on Royce but I imagine Royal may be more aware of Royce's reputation (even without the gang rape, it was clear he was a womanizer) and may stop the marriage.
Rosalie probably hates him for it, feeling useless and powerless as this is the only thing she can do, and hating his interfering as well as his pity but it may very well mean that she survives that night and is never turned.
If she is turned, then she doesn't inflict this on her brother who she has a very mixed relationship with.

For many long years, Aro Volturi had been in charge. While he was one of three rulers, Aro liked to believe he was the face of the Volturi. He might be bragging when he said that, but it was partially true. Most vampires of the vampire world feared him and shook at the mere mention of his name. He held absolute power and authority, and it showed in many ways.
Though, that’s not what mattered. It was just a small bonus to his lifetime of work.
What Aro believed did matter was all that he had seen though all his many years as King. From rabid newborns and Children of the moon to vampires with extraordinary powers. From the creation of lightbulbs and running water to cell phones and cars. From Volcanic eruptions and meteor showers to whole kingdoms falling in a matter of days. From sworn enemies and rivals to the closest of friends.
Aro liked to believe he had seen a lot of what vampire life had to offer. If not everything.
That’s why he was surprised—caught quite off guard—when a letter arrived at his door one summer day. While he was used to letters, he didn’t get them often. Usually just one occasionally from a dear friend or ally or perhaps a vampire looking to join the Volturi ranks. But, not this one, no.
Camillus Marino was her name. A name he was all too familiar with. Marino. She was the dear daughter of Maria Marino and a hybrid at that. A unique hybrid. To say he was shocked is an understatement.
Maria Marino was one of the few secretaries Aro could honestly, truly honestly, admit he liked. Also one of the few, he and his coven hadn’t killed right in the few months of being there. She was a smart girl and one of pure intentions. She did not care about immortal life and that was one of the many qualities that made her interesting. She was the only human he had ever met that saw more cons to becoming a vampire than anyone else.
One of his most fondest memories of her was when she and Caius once got into a heated argument about Immortality. It was quite entertaining and one of the few times his brother seemed pleased to be conversing with a human, even if it was because the two were arguing.
She was a nice girl, and it was quite a shame when she left suddenly even though he expected it would happen one day.
Now, Aro felt like hitting himself. As he mulled over the letter once, twice and finally a third time, he remembered the last time he saw the woman. When she came up to him in his office asking for a leave of absence. He wondered if he paid just a bit more attention—asked a bit more questions—if all of this could have been avoided. He wondered if she had any of the symptoms dear Bella had at that time. The unusual paleness, the malnutrition, the sign of weakness. He felt like kicking himself for not analyzing the woman more.
However, what was hurting Aro the worst was the fact he knew from the letter that Maria Marino was gone. He knew by all means she would die when she left the coven, still human and with a beating heart, but to know she was pregnant with a child, a hybrid child, and knew without a doubt who the father was—one that still laid within these stoney walls—Aro knew there was no way she could have survived. To know that she died in a not so pleasant way and died so young, had him resting his face in his hands for a silent moment.
While Aro was not the best of men—not the kindest or the most honest or selfless—he took care of his own. He respected and mourned the deaths of even the lowest of guards or servants in his coven. And while secretaries are not seen as one of their own for many reasons, to Aro—and likely the rest of the coven—Maria Marino was one of their own. A coven member through and through.
And that’s why he and his brothers allowed her to leave. Respectful of her wishes and hoping she had the best of lives.
However, while he was very much distraught, he knew better than to blame the child. To blame Camillus. Not only because that’s not what Maria would have wanted but he knew she had every opportunity to come begging for him and his brothers for help. It was a decision she made by herself and she decided to live with the results that would follow. He also sadly knew that even if she was given the option of being turned, she would turn it down without a thought.
So now Aro had to think of the present, the future. The fallout of what could possibly enquire. For once, Aro called forth his brothers wishing not a single guard to be present. He knew how serious this situation was and even though Caius was suspicious—glaring at Aro through squinted eyes—the leader did not budge in his request.
Once all was settled and not a single guard could be heard, Aro gave his brothers the letter. They read it over like him, once, twice and finally a third time. For once, Caius was silent. The usual scowl on his face was filled with more bitterness than his usual anger, and Aro knew the man was kicking himself just like how he was minutes ago. Meanwhile Marcus looked somber, even more so than usual. His face was crestfallen and his hands on his lap almost looked as if he was praying. Sending his prayers and wishes to Maria in her afterlife, if there was such a thing.
However, just like him, in a few moments of silence and mourning, his brothers got back to normal. The pain would never leave but they knew better than to focus on the past. The future was ahead of them and they had an important decision to make.
“How should we break the news to him…” Marcus breathes out, his voice a mere whisper amongst the roaring of the fireplace behind them, “…While they weren’t… officially bonded…he won’t react kindly to the news…”
“Do you think he would kill the child?” Caius inquires, responding to Marcus with a question of his own. Aro does not speak but looks at Marcus, interested as well. Vampire emotions were… intense. Passion, Love and Revenge tended to be the strongest. The latter especially if a deceased mate was involved.
“Depends…” Marcus looks up from his downcast look to look at Aro, “…Felix…”
Aro almost feels himself almost startled at the announcement of the guard’s name. As if it was sinful to announce what was occurring under the male’s nose without his knowledge. As if this was a secret that should have forever been laid to rest, just like how Maria was likely many decades ago.
“…is nothing like Edward Cullen. Felix is not obsessive, rabid or jealous like how the mind reader was with Bella Swan. To him, Maria was his equal…a free bird that he was fine to watch from a distance…”
As Marcus trails off, Caius nods in understanding. While Felix did in fact destroy the training room after Maria left, he was nowhere on the same level as Edward or—even—Marcus in that matter. He was not life sucked or depressed in any way. Somber, yes. Heartbroken, also yes. But, suicidal and in absolute total agony, no. To compare the fact Edward Cullen was ready to kill his daughter if Bella was to die to Felix’s situation was not on an equal playing field.
“…But that does not make the situation of the fact Maria was dead by a hybrid pregnancy by him any less better…”
Aro sighs at Marcus’ suggestion, “So you think he would blame himself.”
“Yes…” Marcus trails his eyes back towards the ground, “…Felix is of pure heart and loyal to a fault… I do not believe he would instantly blame the child… he would likely try to take the blame all by himself…”
“Then, should we tell him?“
“Of course.” Caius scoffs at Aro’s question. While he was the toughest on the guard when it came to things, he was also the one who thought of their well being the most. From training to battle tactics, Caius spent the most with them. “He deserves to know, Aro.”
“But then how do we deal with the fallout?” Aro instantly questions back, “What if he was set on attacking Camillus? What do we do then? Which side shall we stand then, brother? Or if, through all our thoughts that he wouldn’t, he ends up being suicidal. Do we give him what he wants? Death?”
“That’s not what I’m saying,” Caius retorts angrily, his short temper getting the best of him, “You just love to put words in my mouth, don’t you?”
“I’m not putting words in your mouth, brother. I am just pushing out questions that need to be thought over before we rush into anything.”
Caius shakes his head and scoffs, “Well then, let’s go over these supposed questions of yours. If Felix wants to murder the child then I say we let him. While she may be Maria’s child, she has no bond to us. Felix should be the one to decide if the child continues to live or not.”
Aro gives Caius a dark glare, “Watch your words brother. I know you are spiteful against me right now but that is no valid reason to—“
“… you are bonded to the child already…” At Marcus' sudden intrusion into the argument, Aro and Caius pause. The latter vampire being a little bit too smug with Marcus’ comment than Aro would have liked.
“Explain Brother.”
Marcus sighs at Caius’ teasing voice but proceeds to explain anyway, “It has not taken form quite yet but there is a… trail… the ghosting of a bond if you would. It has no color or nature as of right now but I can sense your protectiveness alluding off it…”
Aro childishly rolls his eyes at Marcus’ explanation but knows it is likely the truth. Though it doesn’t make the bitter feeling on his tongue any less better at Caius’ triumph look on his face.
“You’ve always been the sensitive one of the bunch, brother.” Caius lets out, wanting to rub it in a little more, “While you don’t tend to get attached easily, when you do, it’s hook, line and sinker.”
“True…” Aro bitterly spits out, “But, you can’t honestly look me in the eyes and say you don’t feel anything for that child. Perhaps right now, you may, but I believe that’s false confidence. I don’t think you, or any one of us for that matter, could sit there and watch Felix maul that child. I may not know what Camillus looks like but if she looked anything like her mother, even if it was just the heart shaped look of her face, I personally believe you would be off your throne in a second to defend that child.”
Marcus, while ever so light, nods his head in agreement. Maria was one of them, even to someone like Caius who would never say it out loud. When a nomadic vampire, a guest briefly visiting their walls, once took a swipe at Maria—ripping the girl’s shirt collar clean off and causing her to have lashes up to the peak of her jaw—it was Caius who instantly screamed for the nomad’s death before anyone else. While he may be bloody and gruesome, Caius was loyal to anyone he deemed worthy to be called a comrade; a friend.
Both Marcus and Aro knew that while he may talk about Camillus' death as if it was nothing, it was all bark and no bite. If they ended up agreeing to allow Felix to do as he pleased, Caius would be the first one screaming at his brothers about allowing such a thing to happen. Even if he suggested it. He would never, ever, allow such a dishonor to fall upon Maria’s name.
“Fine…” Both brother’s look up at Caius’ sudden voice. While the blonde vampire had his usual scowl on his face, they could tell with that look in his eyes that he was visibly upset with how he  had been acting. How he treated someone he knew that woman deemed important enough to die for… like dirt. “But then how do we go about this?”
Aro thinks for a moment. As if sorting through a file cabinet, he finds Felix’s memories and flashes through them. Thinking upon the giant’s actions over the years and weighing his possible reactions based on previous events. It was barely a whisper but Aro finally answers Caius' question after a few moments.
“…Demetri…”
Aro sits up straighter, this time saying his answer with more confidence, “We shall tell Demetri and then tell Felix.”
Caius looked visibly confused for a moment before suddenly pausing, thinking it over for a moment and eventually nodding his head in agreement. Completely understanding what Aro was getting at. Demetri and Felix were soul brothers. If anyone knew better about Felix, it would be Demetri. During missions, the two had each other's backs. During training, they would be the first ones to leap to the other's defense if the new recruits got out of control. And when Maria left, it was Demetri who stuck to Felix like glue until he got better.
“…I shall call him down then.” Marcus answers after a moment. Knowing it would hold the least suspicion as Demetri was his personal guard. As Marcus leaves Aro's office with a slight click of the door, the leader takes a deep unneeded breath.
Of what was likely very few times in his life, Aro for once hated being in charge. He knew out of all his brothers, he would be the one to tell Demetri and, in turn, be the one to tell Felix. This situation was almost as bad as when he had to break the news to Marcus about Didyme’s death. He remembered those following weeks clearly. The tracking down of the Romanian scum that killed her; the excess drinking he did in solitude to feel something, anything; the many women, vampires and humans alike, he bedded for the sake of it; and the few nights were he was all by himself and wished, prayed, this wretched stone body of his would let out a single tear to mourn his baby sister’s death.
“Masters…”
As Demetri’s voice fills the office air, Aro takes a deep breath and sits up. He rises to his feet for a quick moment to greet the tracker before gesturing for him to take a seat. And as all of them sit down, Aro sees his brother’s look at him. It is then that he knows he was right and Aro will be the one alone to tell Demetri.
“How has your day been, Demetri?” Aro starts, wanting to test the waters before diving right into it.
“Good,” The tracker thankfully doesn’t seem startled by Aro’s question and answers it truthfully, “Training went well and we have had no strange activity throughout the day.”
“Perfect. I assume…” Aro for once in his long life hesitates in his speech, “…Felix has been good as well?”
If the tracker notices his master’s pause he does not show it, at least not visibly, “He has been good as well. Currently I believe he is training downstairs with Afton and the others…”
Demetri pauses, seeming to trail off as he checks. He gives a slight nod as he senses that’s where they are, “Yes, they are all training in the lower sector right now.”
“I see…” As Aro takes his gaze away from Demetri for a moment, he locks eyes with Caius. His fellow leader gives him a look that could only be described as “to get on with it”. But, Aro could see that he was nervous as well.
Deciding enough was enough, Aro unneedingly clears his throat and looks back at the tracker, “I’m sure you are wondering why we have called you in today…”
Demetri nods in confirmation, his eyes trailing off to look at Caius and Marcus respectfully before going back to Aro. Once they are back on him, Aro carefully grabs the letter off the table under the tracker’s watchful eyes and holds it delicately.
“Demetri,” Aro starts, staring at the tracker intensely in the eyes. His usual cheerfulness is wiped off from his face and Demetri right then knows it is something serious. Deathly serious. “I want you to read this carefully. I…we believe you know what to do in a situation like this. We are putting our faith in you to do the right thing.”
And with that, Aro hands over the letter to Demetri’s grasps. The tracker takes the letter carefully and unfolds it. The brothers watch in anticipation as the tracker’s eyes skim over the handwritten letter once, twice and finally a third time just like them. It is as the tracker eyes stop that the brothers freeze, the silence in the room practically overbearing. For once, even Marcus had his full attention on this case. Carefully watching Demetri’s bond for any indication of his reaction.
Finally, the tracker lets out a shaky sigh and places the letter down on the table. Once the paper touches the wood, Demetri brings his balled up hands in between his brows and with his elbows on his knees, leans into them. His eyes scrunched closed as if he were in pain.
“Oh, Maria…” Demetri shakely whispers and the kings look upon the tracker somberly. They knew if his eyes were open the glazed over look of venomous tears would be sparkling in those crimson eyes of his. Demetri was close to Maria. Not because of the association that his soul brother was in love with the girl but also because he loved Maria in his own way. Like a very dear friend, a sister if he may.
She would always hold a special place in the tracker’s heart even more so than the other members of the coven. So to learn of what exactly happened to that dear friend of his, those many years ago, shattered him. He just wished, wished with everything in his being, that she told him. If not Felix or his master, him. He would have protected her to the very end if she wanted to keep that child, even if it landed him in the dungeons.
However, Demetri knew that nothing could be done. What was in the past was the past. Maria was dead and nothing in his or anyone’s might could bring her back. What was important now was the child. The daughter of his two closest friends. His precious niece if he could call her that.
“Have you told Felix?” were Demetri’s first words out of his mouth. While he doesn’t bring his body up from his current position, he at least opens his eyes to look upon his masters.
“No.” For once, Marcus answers before Aro.
“Why not?”
All three kings looked upon each other with a look that could only be described as “should we tell him” before Caius speaks up.
“We weren’t sure if Felix would take… revenge on the child.”
As if not feeling worse already, Demetri shoulder’s buckle and he nearly collapses under the thought. While Demetri wanted to believe with everything in his might that Felix, his dear soul brother, would not kill his own child, Demetri honestly did not know. Felix was not like most vampires, he was one of the kindest and most pure hearted people the tracker knew, but when it came down to it, Felix was animalistic. The second to Caius as to who was most in tune with their vampire side.
“We were hoping…” Aro starts, waiting for a moment as the tracker opens his eyes and falls on the leader before continuing, “…that you would be here with us when we told Felix of the news. That it would…”
Aro chooses his next words carefully.
“…lessen the blow, if you would.”
As much as Demetri was quite respectful in front of his masters, he could not help but scoff. The situation at hand was clearly really getting to him, and even Caius didn’t hold his next words against him.
“I hate to say it but I can’t do shit when it comes to something like this. I could hardly keep Felix together to get to the training room when Maria left.” Demetri mumbles out, his accent thick making his words sound sluggish. Finally he sits up before falling back against the cushion of the lounge chair, his arms crossing against his chest, “I don’t have enough to track down the child either. Too many scents are on the letter as well, so I can’t do it the old fashion way either.”
“Is there a return address?“ Caius asks, turning to Aro.
“Yes, but I traced it back to a post office in Terni.”
As Marcus speaks up, he announces what everyone was thinking at that moment, “…It seems she is hiding from us.”
“Yes it appears so.”
For the first time since getting there, Demetri smiles slightly. While crooked and dark in a way, it was a smile at that, “She’s smart, I'll give her that much. Just not at the perfect timing.”
“Do you have an idea in mind?” Caius suddenly asks, looking at the tracker curiously. It is then that Aro realizes it too. He knows from that look on Demetri’s face that the gears in the head were working and he had something in mind.
“Well, I have an idea.”
Honestly at this point, Aro didn’t care if it was terrible or not. Anything was better than nothing at this point, “Please, do share, Demetri.”
“I say…” Demetri pauses for a moment and sits up straighter before continuing, “…we do tell Felix but not about the whereabouts of the girl. At least not until we get a proper sense of his possible reaction.”
“I see…” Aro lets out, rubbing his chin as he overthinks Demetri’s plan, “But what if he wishes to see the letter?“
“We make a duplicate. Exactly the same but leave out the return address.”
“And what about the fact the child says she’s from Italy, what if Felix is set on searching high and low for the girl?” Caius questions, taking his turn at stabbing at Demetri’s plan. Though it was with good mannered intentions, “While we don’t know the girl’s scent, if the child was theoretically with her aunt, Maria’s wretched sister, Felix would know where to find her.”
“True, true but I do have a plan for that.” Demetri says, looking at Aro with slight hesitance. It is then that Aro knows what Demetri meant when he had an idea, “While you inform Felix of the letter, I will try to find the child.”
“Demetri…” Caius warns, now understanding what the tracker was getting at. The situation at hand was now getting much worse. Especially as Demetri's hesitation disappears and is filled with determination. Aro knew from decades with the Greek man that nothing could stop him now.
“I understand your hesitation, Master. But I am the best for this situation. With me by that child’s side, if Felix moves a mile in our direction then I can move a mile away. I can constantly avoid him, the child would never be harmed.”
“…. I see… though that could possibly keep you occupied for years, likely decades even…” Marcus says, his voice airy as he drawls out his thoughts, “…We don’t know how long Felix’s need for revenge could burn for that child. It might even last his whole eternal life if he is certain in his decision…”
Marcus lifts his gaze to look at the tracker,
“…you would be out of commission for quite a while… not to count for enemies of ours that might get interested in your whereabouts especially if they see you with the young child…”
Once Marcus finishes his statement, silence once again falls upon the room and Aro is left alone to his thoughts. Oh, Maria. Aro felt the need to shut his eyes tight and curl into a ball. What have you done? He knew the girl would never want such a thing like this to occur—especially not on purpose—but it still didn’t make anything better. Nothing good could come from this situation. Nothing at all.
“Master.” Aro looks up at Demetri’s voice. A begging expression on the tracker’s face. “Please.”
Aro’s eyes widen ever so slightly. In all of his decades with the tracker, Aro had never heard him beg. Not when his life was on the line. Not when he was forced to track many vampires at once. Not even when Aro plucked the young vampire from Amun’s grasps. Not once.
“Aro.” Caius warns, recognizing that look on his brother’s face. However once all brothers lock eyes with each other, Caius knows nothing can be done and he shuts his eyes so hard in pure anger his vision turns white. God damn it.
“I will allow that…” As Demetri’s face lights up, Aro quickly continues, “…under one circumstance.”
Once Aro sees the tracker’s face return to being completely serious, he continues, “I want you fully under cover. Coven badge. Outfit. Cell phone. Everything. I want it gone, hidden.”
Caius eyes widen, “Aro—“
“No, brother. If we are to do it, we do it right. I do not want a single vampire who has never met Demetri to be able to tell he is part of the guard. I will give him a new cell just for this mission and he will only call us if absolutely need be.”
Aro looks upon Caius for a few moments, however the king is silent. While he does not agree with this, he holds his tongue and keeps his harsh glare directed at the wooden coffee table in front of him. Once he confirms that none of the other kings are against his decision, he turns to Demetri.
“Do you understand, Demetri?”
“I do.” The tracker says and while it is only a little bit, Aro is relieved to see the determination in the tracker’s eyes.
“Then get ready, you will leave at sunset.” Aro says, getting up from his chair, “I will write a response to Camillus' letter and you will drop it off at the return address. Marcus.”
At the sound of his name, the somber king looks up at his brother, “Do you think you could replicate the child’s writing?”
“…of course…”
“Caius.” At the sound of his name, the warrior king looks up, “I know you’re not happy about this decision but I need your cooperation in order for this to work. Do you think you could keep an idea on Felix for the time being? Before and after we tell him, while Demetri is absent.”
Demetri watches with a held breath as silence falls upon the room. The usual hot headed king sits there for a moment, letting his fingers thrum once, twice, and a third time against the chair before stopping. Finally after what feels like an eternity, Caius lets out a short disgruntled chuckle.
“Since when have you asked for my permission in making a decision, brother? If you did, Carlisle would have been ash centuries ago.” At Caius' crude joke, everyone breathes a sigh of relief. The spiteful king was on board with the plan.
“Fine, fine. For once, I’ll give you the win with that remark.” As one last chuckle leaves Aro, he  takes one last look around the room before speaking again. Officially commencing the plan ahead. There was no turning back now, “We tell Felix three night from now.”
Aro just hoped three days would be enough time for Camillus to come out of her hiding place.
For the first time in his life, Aro shuts his eyes and gives out a little prayer to the heavens above. Maria, wherever you are, please for the sake of your daughter lead her straight into Demetri’s arms…
…I beg of you…

SteveTony - Alternate Universe
Here are some Alternate Universe fics that I love. Don't forget to leave kudos and nice comments in every fic!
Tumblr media
Food for the Heart, by LagLemon, 14 k >, Cooking, No Powers.
After being introduced to a gourmet food on a budget blog by Pepper (a gift for her elderly, cheapskate mother) Tony starts cooking again. The recipes are good, but the blog owner is even better. Still, Tony isn't so sure Captain America, the guy who runs the blog, can compete with Hot Bagboy, the gorgeous blond who works at the grocery store.
"Free to Good Home" by Captain_Panda, 7 k > words, Alternate Universe - Animals.
"Oliver and Company" AU.
There's a great big world outside the box.
But it's a dog-eat-dog world, and Tony's just one cat. Then a stray dog comes along, looking for a friend.
A Day In Principal Stark's Office, by nannersmelo, 10 k > words, Steve Single Parent, Director Tony.
Tony Stark has his hands full with not only Stark Industries, but also his beloved mother's life project: The Maria Stark Academy, and as he enters his office in order to deal with a ferocious mother whose son was apparently assaulted by one of his brightest students, he was sure this day would culminate in nothing but a heinous headache. Little did he know - he was in for one hell of a surprise.
I Am the Night by gottalovev, 6 k > words, Alternate Universe - Vampire, Vampire Tony Stark, Wizard Steve Rogers.
That's it. Tony is doomed. He rolls on his back, crosses his wings over his belly and closes his eyes. He'll await death here, misunderstood by the world to the bitter end.
C is for Calculus and Compromise, by heydoeydoey, 11 k>, Gifted AU, Post-Divorce, Angts with a Happy Ending.
Steve's just trying to give his prodigy daughter a normal childhood. Enter a meddling school administrator, Tony Stark, and too many lawyers.
tell you my love for you by jelliebean, 22 k > words, Alternate Universe - Normal High School, Based on Love Simon.
A guy at Shield High comes out on tumblr, anonymously. Tony thought he was the only gay guy on campus--not out, because of Howard--and sends him an email.
“Hey, Flying. Same here. I’ve got a secret too, and it’s like I’m hiding who I am, every day. From everyone. All the closest people to me. But I just can’t tell them. I’m gay, too. It feels like I’m putting on this mask, this shell of who I think they want me to be. Even though I don’t think my friends would judge me. I don’t know why. I just. I’ve got a secret. –Shell”
The guy seems great--amazing, even, and then Hammer has to step in and ruin it all.
Mergers & Acquisitions by Robin_tCJ, 33 k > words, Angst, sex as currency.
Steve Rogers is the CEO of the Rogers Corporation, which he built from the ground up. When he learns that Hydra International is making a bid for a hostile takeover of Stark Industries, he decides he has to do what he can to stop Hydra from overtaking the market and becoming an unstoppable, unethical conglomerate. Tony Stark asks for something Steve isn’t sure he should give, but he does it anyway – and it completely changes everything. But when Hydra keeps coming, Steve and Tony realize there’s more to this than they’d realized.
Meeting the Monsters by itsallAvengers, 23 k > words, Alternate Universe - High School, Alternate Universe - Creatures & Monsters.
Tony's at public school with kids his age for the first time in seventeen years, and he is determined that this year is gonna be his year. He's going to make friends. He's going to be popular. People will like him.
Unsurprisngly, none of that actually happens.
He does sort-of-maybe fall in love with a vampire in his class that everyone is terrified of, though. So... there's that.
(I Want You To See) The Darkest Side Of Me by ann2who, 45 k > words, Alternate Universe - No Powers, Alternate Universe - Fusion, Post-World War II.
In Monte Carlo, Steve meets the wealthy widower Anthony Stark. It’s love at first sight—at least for Steve—and he can’t believe his luck when Tony asks him to live at Stark Mansion, his large estate in Malibu. Never in his life had Steve thought something like this was possible… never had he been this happy. However, soon Steve realizes that Tony is still deeply troubled by the death of his first wife and haunted by the many ghosts she left behind. The longer Steve lives in her shadow, the more he understands that… He can never be what Tony’s wife had once been for him. And Tony might never truly love him.

half-wild and glimmering by deathsweetqueen , 15 k > words, Alternate Universe - Western, Prostitution.
“Give me a drink, Tasha,” Tony sighs as he lands in front of the bar. “I’ve had one hell of a day.”
Natasha raises an eyebrow. “Have you really?” she asks, loftily, sliding a tumbler of whiskey along the well-polished wood.
Tony lets his head hang, the sweat beading on the back of his neck. “You wouldn’t believe what I’ve had to put myself through today,” he sighs, wearily.
“I would not know. You will not let me work the rooms,” Natasha retorts, her voice a little strained, busying her hands in a dirty glass.
“I don’t let you work the rooms ‘cause you’re liable to kill anyone who touches ya the wrong way and we can’t lose that much of our business,” Tony reminds her, wryly amused, sipping at his whiskey. He shakes his head at the burn. “We peddle flesh, darling, not death.”
peers, fears and holiday cheers by jacobby, 24 k > words, Parent Tony Stark.
“He’s only two years older than you,” Tony finally says when the silence becomes too much to bear.
“Dad, Teddy is turning twenty-seven next year.”
“I am not dating your husband—”
“I’m not implying you are. I just want you to be...aware that he’s practically the same age as my husband.”
AKA
Tony Stark's new boyfriend is only two years older than his adult sons. Telling them is one thing, introducing them is another. What Tony doesn't expect is that the past always has a way of catching up to him, of biting him in the ass when he least expects it. Well, at least they're all together for the Holidays. What more can he ask for?

Steve quickly finds himself falling for the quick-witted and sarcastic actor but Tony is dating the stage manager. Unwilling to come between the seemingly happy couple, Steve steps back but all isn’t right behind the scenes and Tony may need him when everything falls apart.

and teach this heart (how to beat with light), by starklystar, 40 k >, AU Hospital, Single parent Steve.
Eight years ago, at a funeral with a baby's cries ringing in his ears, Tony Stark decided to turn his life around. He's a genius, billionaire, philanthropist. What's so hard to adding 'doctor' to that list? And after that, it can't be that hard to add 'husband' and 'father' too, right? But the past has a way of haunting even the very best of us, and in any universe, Tony Stark and Steve Rogers have never had an easy love.
Featuring: drama, chaos, Peter's scheming, meddling friends, and doctors learning again that the heart can never be as simple as four chambers and four valves.

Meanwhile, new resident Bruce Banner refuses to give up on his patient, and Dr. Sharon Carter learns something from her own patients. Throw in a pissed off hospital administrator, Clint using the coffee pot as a mug again, and a major car crash and you have, well, just another night shift.
Cake It Till You Make It by ChocolateCapCookie, 10 k > words, Kid Fic, Alternate Universe - Bakery.
Steve Rogers and Tony Stark have a lot in common. They're single parents, they own rival bakeries at the center of town... and they both hate each other's guts.
When a mix-up at Peter and Morgan's school has both fathers scrambling to prove they're the better baker, they do the mature, adult thing and compete in a bake-off. Between the mixing and the creaming, the baking and the icing, Steve and Tony find that hate is actually not that far from love.
Looking for Heaven by foxxcub, 31 k > words, Alternate Universe - Regency, Marriage of Convenience.
When young Lord Anthony Stark learns Steven Rogers has enlisted in the army, he thinks he's seen the last of his tiny, headstrong, haughty stable boy. But four years later, Lord Stark gets an unexpected visit from Steve, whose mother has fallen gravely ill and into financial ruin. Even more unexpected, Steve agrees to a shocking proposal: they will marry, giving Steve the necessary funds to save his mother, and Tony the much-needed reprieve from harassing would-be suitors. It is a business arrangement, nothing more. But as time goes on and circumstances arise, Tony begins to learn that keeping his heart away from his husband is easier said than done.

The Devil You Know by shetlandowl, 17 k > words, Alternate Universe - Detectives, Alternate Universe - Author/Novelist.
Best selling author Tony Stark revives the bodice ripper genre for a modern audience. From frisky gay cowboys to ravenous lesbian pirate queens, he consistently delivers riveting thrillers full of romance, drama, and the filthy, unapologetically kinky sex that has become his trademark specialty.
Tony has everything a man could dream of - horny, adoring fans, and boatloads of money. Or that's what he thought, until Detective Steve Rogers walks into his life and turns it all upside down.

Will Tony's fear of abandonment cause him to drive away the best tomcat he's ever known? Only time will tell.
do you fondue? by calciseptine, 16 k > words, Alternate Universe - Modern Setting.
Tony has done crazy things in the name of food, but falling in love with Steve Rogers really takes the cake.
a glimpse of heaven's love by parkrstark, 13 k> words, Alternate Universe - No Powers, Terminal Illnesses.
The child begins to empty his pockets. He starts to count coins on the counter. Tony huffs a little impatiently as he realizes most of them are pennies.
The cashier actually humors the kid and counts along with him. They reach 3 dollars and 54 cents before he shakes his head sadly. "Sorry, kid. There's not enough here."
The kid sounds close to crying. "I need these paints for my Papa. It's Christmas Eve and these...he doesn't have any. The doctors said he doesn't have long. I want him to have these. In case he meets Jesus tonight, I want him to paint one more time. Please."
Tony takes a step forward, arms still full of toys he's buying just because. He can cover this child's gift for his dying father. Money. Money is what he's good for.
"I'll buy them."

A Rat-ional Conclusion by BladeoftheNebula, 6 k > words, Alternate Universe - No Powers, Alternate Universe - Veterinarians, Parent Tony Stark.
He had a strong flurry of patients throughout the morning and by the time it rolled around to noon, he was just about worn out.
He walked out into the reception, stretching until he felt a satisfying pop. “Are we done?”
Bucky checked the screen. “Just about. One more before lunch - a rat, singular.”
Steve breathed a sigh of relief. Hopefully straight forward then. “Great, let me know when they-”
He was interrupted by the bell over the door and looked up to see a little girl cradling a small animal carrier, being shepherded through the door by easily one of the hottest men he’d ever seen in real life.
Oh wow.

Tony has only one logical solution that benefits them both: break the curse that binds him - but falling for a man almost a century old wasn't among his plans.
