I finally got around to reading What If? Magik.

This is my favourite Illyana book. It's the best one. The art, the writing. The vibe. Strange as a teacher and father figure is so amazing for Yana. The incredible deep-dive into Yana's psyche, both as it applies to the specific universe it's located in and the greater Marvel canon.

It's brilliant. I love it.

It's not like they can't hoof it to Midgard whenever they feel like it, right? Thor is always there and Loki has had plenty of apartments there. What ifs are always kinda silly but that's the fun IG. If I was Uatu I'd watch that shit all day long as well tbh. Ragnarok is probably made up anyway

I recently played the “Midnight Suns” video game, and, in my opinion, Illyana (voiced by Laura Bailey) is far and away the best part of the game. I loved her powerset, her outfits, and her dialogue...

So of course I had to draw her. And here she is, being very unimpressed.

Aw, look at that! Illyana gets a cute kid sidekick to bring out her protective side and make her reflect on her own childhood trauma in a compelling way. I’m sure we can look forward to a long, well-explored relationship between Yana and Beastie that returns again and again though many books.
