Don’t ask me who you are and who I am or why everything is. Let the professors solve that, they get paid. Put the kitchen scale on the table and let reality weigh itself. Put your coat on. Turn off the light in the hall. Close the door. Let the dead bury the dead.

We are walking here now. You are the one who is wearing white rubber boots. I am the one who is wearing black rubber boots. And the rain that falls over us both is the rain.
