I wrote this last night when I was trying to distract myself from...everything. Set in 3x15, post-well collapse.
----
Buck is bleeding.
Itâs Eddie who notices. He pulls the oxygen mask Hen just put on him to the side and nods down at Buckâs lap where his hands dangle over his knees. âWhat happened there?â
âEddie, donâtââ Hen starts to say as the ambulance jolts into motion, Chim up front at the wheel. But then she looks at Buckâs hands, and Buck looks down at them too, and he sees what they seeârusty crust of dried blood, some of it bright red and oozing sluggish, dripping between his feet. A few of the nails are cracked or half ripped away. Now that heâs looking, his fingers throb. The pain is dull and distant, but itâs there.
âBuck,â Hen says, half dismay, half resignation. She reaches, hesitates.
âIâm fine,â Eddie says. Heâs talking to Hen, but he meets Buckâs gaze and holds it. âGo check him out.â
âNo.â Buck fights the urge to put his hands behind his back, like thatâll make a difference. âItâs nothing. Just a few scrapes.â
But Hen already has the antiseptic in her hands, and she takes Buck by the wrist, pulls him closer and leans over him.
It stings. He hisses, flinches. An ache haunts the back of his throat, and he canât tell if itâs from residual panic or from screaming Eddieâs name, sobbing in Bobbyâs lap.
âWhat did you do?â Eddie says. Heâs still so pale, and Buck wants to take his hand away from Hen so he can pull Eddie against him, rub color and life back into his limbs.
âThis idiot thought he could dig his way to you with his bare hands,â Hen says.
It sound crazy when she says it like that, but it wasnât crazy, it wasnât. It was essential. If Bobby hadnât pulled him away, he would have gotten to Eddie eventually. His heart would have stopped beating otherwise, soâit would have worked. He could have done it.
Eddie wonât stop staring at him. And itâs fine, because Buck doesnât want to look away either, or to let Eddie out of his sight ever again. He isnâtâhe wasnât supposed to be on this ambulance, but heâd turned to Bobby and said, Shouldnât someone stay with him? And Bobby had looked at him for a long time before nodding, Okay, go on, and Buck was climbing in behind Eddie before the words had even fully left his mouth.
âBuck,â Eddie says, admonishing, and thatâsâBuck laughs, short and sharp.
âYou cut your line.â
Eddie grins. Itâs dim with exhaustion, but itâs stillâitâsâ âPlease,â he says. âYouâd have done the same.â
Would Eddie have done the same, if their places were reversed? Would he have clawed at the earth, if it was Buck down there? When he was swimming through all that water, that impossible distance, was he thinkingâlike Buck was thinkingâabout how it wasnât supposed to end this way? There was still so much inside Buck, and he needed someplace to put it, and he knew, too late and with dozens of feet of mud between them, that Eddie was that place.
Does Eddie know? Should Buck tell him now?
He opens his mouth, but he thinks better of it when Hen reaches for his other hand. No, not now. âMaybe I would have,â he says instead, âbut youâd have given me hell for it.â
Eddie nods minutely. His gaze feels like a weight, pinning Buck to the uncomfortable bench. âYeah. I would have.â
Hen finishes wrapping Buckâs fingers in gauze just as they arrive at the hospital. Now that heâs thinking about it, the pain is more pronounced, his heartbeat pounding in his fingertips. He jumps out of the back, and holds a hand out to help Eddie down too, but Eddie looks at him like heâs crazy and levers himself carefully to the ground without Buckâs help. Itâsâconsiderate of him, avoiding Buckâs injured hands, but Buck wants to touch him so bad he thinks he might start screaming again. He settles for putting a steadying hand on Eddieâs shoulder when his feet hit the ground.
It hurts when he squeezes. He squeezes harder, until Eddie pats the small of his back and says, âIâm good.â
A nurse leads Eddie back to check him out. Hen and Chim head back to the station; they need to get the ambulance back, do their paperwork, help Bobby wrap up their shift, but they both hug Buck on the way out and tell him to call if anything comes up.
This is just a precaution, reallyâcheck Eddieâs lungs, check for hypothermia, get him painkillers for how sore heâll be in the morning. Still, Buck stares at the doors that lead back to the exam rooms and doesnât look away, hardly blinks. He wonders what the distance is between them now. If itâs more or less than the distance from the surface of the earth to the place where Eddie was buried alive.
At some point, Bobby comes, presses the keys to Buckâs Jeep into his hand and tells him they dropped it off in the parking lot, then leaves again. Buck must have spoken to him, but he doesnât know what he said.
Itâs fine. Eddie is fine, and Buck should be embarrassed that he still canât draw a full breath. In, out, he tells himself. In, out, until the doors swing open and Eddie is there again, some color in his cheeks, smiling.
Buck gets to his feet, but he doesnât know what to do with his hands. They hurt more now, waves of pain pulsing up his arms. He wants to reach out.
Eddieâs close. One foot away. Less. No earth between them.
Buck could touch him. Buck wants to touch him. But Eddie beats him to it. His hand lands on the back of Buckâs neck, and Buck is so relieved, his knees nearly give out.
âHome?â Eddie asks. Andâheâs asking for Buck to take him there, but thereâs something in the way he says it, something in his eyes and the way theyâre locked on Buckâs. He could mean something else. Yeah, you are, Buck wants to say.
âHome,â he says instead.
Eddieâs palm lingers on his neck. Buckâs own hands throb. He flexes them, takes comfort in the ache. He doesnât have to dig anymore, right? He doesnât have to dig.

I've got to add, because there's so much nonsense in what twinaquapisces said that's asserted so firmly...
Fat people do not "get thin" by losing weight. If i weigh 300 pounds and loose 100 pounds, an entire small child worth of pounds... I'm still fat. I still weigh 200 pounds. So in order for a fat person to become thin they have to do things to their body which are *dangerous* and *harmful* and *increase your risk for heart disease, diabetes, chronic inflammation, and death.*
Like sure, maybe we don't fully know if fat people who become thin and stay that way have better outcomes. But we do know that people who attempt repeatedly and unsuccessfully to lose weight have worse outcomes, and we do know that people cannot lose weight and keep it off.
So yes. It is a "fact" that "fat people can get thin" in the same way that it is a "fact" that I can chop my own arm off. Sure, it is theoretically possible, but I'll probably fail in trying, and it would take committing horrible acts against my own body to get there, so why would I want to?
Also at the end this person jumps to the conclusion that if we couldonly study this a little more, we could prove what conditions are caused by weight gain, which is nonsense because it's not been proven that fat people have statistically worse outcomes than thin people to start with, and most of the data saying otherwise starts with the same assumption twin is making. That there *must* be something wrong with being fat and we just have to figure out what.
Not to go on a personal tangent, but the biggest thing wrong with my being fat was that when I went to my doctor seeking accommodations for chronic migraines because it was interfering with my job, she went on a rant about how my health conditions were being caused by weight gain (a thing that hadn't happened). I left without the job security I'd been seeking.
Why would we waate our time trying to figure out how to make fat people thin, a thing which has not been proved to be a good idea, when we could instead focus on quality of life improvements that *have* been proven effective. Give fat people the treatment you give thin people and there would be far less fat people dying of treatable diseases.
I think the thing that drives me the most batshit about the medical fatphobia conversation is that the burden of proof feels so exactly backwards. Just from an obvious best practices standpoint???
Things like intentional malnourishment, intentionally incapacitating vital organs through surgery, denial of potentially lifesaving medical care until those things are done, etc.
Those are all pretty extreme. The kinds of things it feels like a âfirst do no harmâ system should have a lot of solid evidence for before recommending or implementing them.
But theyâre so bog standard and accepted and everyone from doctors to your own family will look at you like youâre a flat-earther when you suggest maybe we shouldnât be defaulting to that.
#Fat activism#Discussions of weight#Recently a thin friend of mine shared a post saying#Weight is not an indicator of health#And at least four people#All of whom would have called themselves leftists#Were like yeah but you still have to take it into consideration#And when I gently corrected them they got so hurt#Said over and over again that they weren't fatphobic and would never say something to shame a fat person#While with the same mouth calling me ignorant and attention seeking#If your intersectionality does not include fat people it's not justice#We are dying because health care providers refuse to treat us#We are dying because people treat us worse in daily interactions#We are dying because it's harder for us to stay consistently employed#We are not dying because we are fat

stares at ur art w the largest eyes. pls tell me abt ur ocs they look so cool..
This is gonna be like. The messiest or at least most incomplete explanation despite me having made these guys in 6th grade (9-10 years ago btw) because I was so significantly more focused on character design than any actual world building. Anyways--
So they're basically a specialized task force to deal with demonic creatures/entities! Said creatures come from an entirely different realm but they started leaking into other places like Earth so the governing body of one of the countries there, Erutan, was like "...Hm yeah we kinda need to deal with that" so yeah uhh 7 of them got dragged into this (Perenn was already from Erutan)
Each of them have a unique ability, weapon(s), and emblem and they get their powers from these markings branded onto their left arm:
The brand itself is heated with lava from the local divine volcano (which is probably also the source of the demon thingies but they're not entirely sure on that which is why they have some geochemical researchers on it)
Here's their flat colors since the other one is kinda dark so you can't see it as well but the markings and stuff are there!
The branding does glow when they're actively using their powers! They all can also do some magic things in common like a quick teleport or summoning each other, but those are a bit more draining
Originally I made them because I was like "Mmhm yes, people with magic abilities fighting demons, I can make as many OCs within this universe as I want" before it ended up being. Too many-- So I like focusing on these 8 since they were my very first ones but there are more like these three that are also important
I made magical girls before understanding what the genre of magical girl was. Incredible
If there's anything else you wanna know like about a specific person or whatever đđ
#daisy's ocs#rough cuts oc#neptune tag#i was gonna make more little diagrams and stuff but that would take forever and i wanna talk about them like. now#thank you neptune this means so much to me hghdfkjghfdkg#a lot of stuff is still in consideration 'cause i just like making ladies with funky outfits and weapons#i'll figure it out!!! eventually#i feel like i'm forgetting something. i'm not sure#to the person who sent the hell dorm request i did see it i'm just still trying to figure out what to draw for it#i do put a bit of thought into my doodle reqs so y'all get something of substance#sometimes i say these guys were from 7th-8th grade 'cause that's when i roughed out their characters a bit more#they were at least conceptualized in 6th tho#to the people who are here for en/stars (slash so it doesn't show up in the main) yeah uh. hi#you're just gonna have to deal with different things i make sometimes sorry--#sana postal service

I really think you're telling on yourself if you actually think that people are diagnosing themselves with every and any mental disorder in the DSM-5 from a tiktok. chronically online of you to think this tbh. it's giving, "I don't actually talk to people irl and all my information about this is from social media."
#mental health#i mean yeah I'm sure there are people who ''fake'' a mental disorder for ''attention''#or who don't do their due diligence and just go around saying they have x disorder#but i don't think that's even a considerable enough percentage of people#to justify the moral panic regarding self diagnosis#imo self diagnosis is a crucial step in seeking mental health support ANYWAYS#like#the same happens ALL THE TIME with physical health issues#it's very fucking normal to think ''i think i have a cold'' take steps to remedy that at home#and when that does not work then seek additional treatment#and then you either get diagnosed with what you thought you had and you just need prescribed medication#or you actually have something else in which case THINKING YOU WERE SICK WAS STILL A CRUCIAL STEP

hey not to sound rude or anything itâs just a critic that i would like to share with you bc i feel like you write too much detail about other things that arenât really how do i say it not important to the storyline. for example you wrote almost a whole chapter of jk and his friends doing absolutely nothing other than bicker for 30mins while drinking beer and what not so while itâs cool and very important for us readers to know about some details and information about the characters in the story itâs just too much and you did it again in chapter 7 too itâs like we never get to see him interact with oc more than 5 mins and the next moment heâs with his friends or idk she has to work on this and that like i get it she has to work but i donât need to know the equipments. again im not trying to be rude or discredit you i love your story itâs very interesting i just want to let you know what you might do better next time if you would allow us to criticize you :)
hii, thank you so much for your insight!! i really appreciate it, although i am sorry those scenes felt excessive for you. they're meant to visualise the atmosphere, introduce you to the characters, build on their personalities, and strengthen the storyline, so it isn't just two-dimensional cardboard cut-outs interacting with each other in a vacuum. i'm hoping for full immersion into this universe with the way i write, but i understand if you're mainly interested in the two main characters interacting -- that's obviously totally fine! thank you for reading so far, anyway! đ„°â€ïž
#ask#anonymous#taexual; sleepwalking#ah i guess i'm striving more for literary fiction rather than just romance with this one?#so the pace stays as realistic as possible and the characters think A LOT.......#and most of the facts are supported by examples#so you won't have to just take my word for it later when i claim that the OC has a good relationship with the rest of the staff#or when JK claims to have something in common with his friends that isn't just Being Male (even though that's basically it tbh lmao)#you won't have to assume these things because you've read about them before#me and flimsy comments to push the plot don't get along#most of what happens is Substantial and it is Explained & Explored in the perspective of the characters#yeah idk i like to write#i like to imagine#i like to think#that's why it's long and that's why it's slow burn#so i am really very sorry if you were looking for something different!:(#but again i thank you for this message! i will still take your words into consideration regardless đ„°#there will obviously be a lot more of direct interactions between the two main characters#if you're willing to stick around for it!!#i'm grateful either way!

sometimes establishing systems and methods between people is like pulling teeth like I am. trying. so hard. to make this system so we can communicate better but please please meet me halfway oh my god please this is so simple we've been over it together what do I need to do to make this click for you just tell me and I'll do it
#quil's unholy underworld#i KNOW i KNOW my parents mean well but oh my GOD#i have made this system so simple why are we still having problems I'm gonna screAM#context: i need transition time to switch between things and respond to things#so I asked my parents to stop knocking on my door to ask things (which disrupts me) and instead text me about it!#and they were like yeah sure! we can do that!#great :)#and then we encountered a slight issue so I established a thing#five minute rule. if you've sent me a text and I haven't responded in five minutes that means I haven't seen it and you can come knock!#you'd think that would be simple! at least I think it is!#text me and give me five minutes :)#except BOTH of my parents continuously forget?? or just straight up don't understand that?#20 minutes after my dad sends me a text I'll come out and he'll be like I just figured you were busy :)#like. that is considerate but i /told/ you five minute rule! five minutes means I haven't seen it!#which then means I get thrown all off because i'm scrambling to adjust to feeling behind and answering whatever he was saying#and my mother had a whole situation with it the other night where she came knocking three minutes after sending a text#which I didn't hear because music so then it really threw me off when she opened the door to wave her hand inside (didn't actually come in)#and then she thought that meant I'd /always/ take five minute to respond and was unprepared for another convo because#responded too early#like please guys. please. i'm just trying to make it easier to communicate in ways we're all comfortable and clear with#and I know they're not doing it maliciously! they're just not as meticulous as me#and so situations like these happen#but like. aeoiahweoifawne. please. it's so simple why are we struggling#it's been several months. we've done it like this for several months maybe even over a year#why are we still having problems please#and it's not a big deal but also GAH#rant in tags

me: why am i having nightmares
me: why is this person recurring in them
my facebook memories: oh by the way 9 years ago today âŠ
#weird how itâs been almost a decade#and i still have such conflicting emotions about it#like right after it happened i didnât believe anything was wrong bc i said okay#but jennaâs mom took one look in my eyes and with no context was like oh. she assaulted you#i had the same look in my eyes after#and like how could she do that if it wasnât really assault#but i still didnât believe it. bc i said yes#and then paige hit me years later with the hey. iâm sorry. that was fucked up#i was considerably older than you and insisted on you taking pills i had given you and then wouldnât take no for an answe#and that was all the validation i needed for all the fear i had felt in the moment i said yes because. she knew. she knew it was fucked up.#and then i just never spoke to her again#until my mom died#and she reached out with the absolute kindest words and advice that helped so well i still use it regularly to this day#the only person#actually#who gave me advice that helped#and now sheâs in my nightmares every night and my facebook memories every day#and i still. donât know how to feel#bc other people have assaulted me or been questionably pushy#and thatâs easy#not that thereâs a ton but theyâre all undeniably bad people#paige was. the first person to show me family or otherwise i could be treated kindly#paige and her mom gave me somewhere to go when my mom was throwing me into stools and rock walls and jean was doing meth#and paige also told me several stories of being drugged and assaulted as a child#and we were both still children#what do i do and where do i stand when the person who did something horrible to me is still a good person?#itâs funny. everyone knows who duane is. but no one who wasnât around even knows i dated a girl named paige.#and yeah a part of me just doesnât wanna talk about that night or any of the fucked up things that lead up to it#but also. to be honest. i donât wanna hear paige slander.#today marks nine years and here i am. still protecting you. even just from the opinions of people who will never meet you or see you

hhuâs love languages (nsfw)
seungcheol â; biting
oh, how he loves to sink his teeth into your precious skin.
heâll admit itâitâs a little bit (read: a lot) of a possessive thing. itâs not enough for him to have you face down, ass up, writhing underneath him as he pounds you into tomorrow. he just canât resist from leaning over you, pressing his broad, sweat-slicked chest to your back, and clamping down on the curve of your neck with his teeth.
it doesnât help that you say his name so pretty when he does; a breathy, high-pitched moan of two syllablesââcheollie,ââthat drives him to insanity.
and itâs not just your neck that falls victim to his bite. itâs his favourite, yesâitâs easily accessible in all of your favourite positions, after all. but no part of you is safe.
when his head is between your legs, he kisses up along your calf, mouths at the fat of your thigh before you feel the soft sting of his teeth sinking into it. only then is he satisfied. only then does he give you what you want: his mouth on your pussy as he eats you out so good it leaves your entire body shaking.
when youâre sat in his lap, bouncing on his cock like a bitch in heat despite the way your thighs burn, his mouth finds your tits like a moth to a flame. theyâre sensitive, he knows that, so heâs considerate enough to go a little easier on them, nibbling at the soft skin. heâll still leave his mark on them, of course, only instead of bite marks he litters your chest with dark little love bites.
he loves nothing more than seeing your reaction to his dirty little habit. when you waddle off to the bathroom and leave him laying there in post-orgasm bliss, a yelp of his name has him grinning and jumping to his feet.
he finds you glaring at the mirror, with your hair a mess and your features flustered from the sight of the perfect teeth indentation on your right shoulder.
âi look like a shark attack survivor! how am i supposed to cover this?â you ask, exasperated.
and the worst thing about choi seungcheol is how hard it is to be mad at him. when he presses himself against you, snakes his arms around your waist, and drops his head to dot kisses all over the mark in question, you find yourself melting into him with an ease like itâs ingrained in you.
eventually, he speaks up, muttering his words into your skin: âdonât cover it.â
wonwoo â; hand holding
wonwoo, your sweet wonwoo. so shy that he gets flustered when you hold his hand in public.
in the dim lighting of your bedroom, though, heâs not so shy. in fact itâs you whoâs flustered, your body searing hot, your head spinning from the weight of your boyfriend on top of you.
heâs got you manhandled onto your stomach, kneeling between your spread legs, fucking you like heâs trying to carve the shape of his cock into your very womb. whatâs worse is the way his hands, lithe and pretty, take yours, pinning you to the mattress so he can drive his hips harder into you.
âw-wonwoo,â you sob, squeezing and grasping at the fingers that are laced with yours.
âhmm? whatâs wrong, pretty girl?â he asks, practically cooing into your ear. âcanât take it?â
âi can,â you whimper, clenching around him, pressing your hips up into his thrusts. to show him.
âyeah, there you go. fuck, take my cock so good, donât you?â
if you were to try and tell anyone that jeon wonwoo was capable of speaking like this, youâre sure they wouldnât believe you. the wonwoo who can barely hold your hand in front of others, let alone kiss you? that wonwoo?
itâs the same wonwoo who fucks your face without remorse, who fingers you until you squirt, who eats you out until you canât feel your legsâthat wonwoo. and the best thing about him is that heâll hold your hand through all of them, even as he abuses your poor cunt, like itâs reassurance. a touch of mercy to remind you heâs still your boyfriend who loves you so much even if he fucks you like an ex.
after all, he is a romantic. whatâs more romantic than your pretty boyfriend holding your hands when heâs fucking your brains out?
mingyu â; choking
it may or may not be his habit of playfully grabbing his members by their neck that floods your mind with the idea of being in their place.
youâve always had a thing for mingyuâs hands, even before youâd started dating him. the sheer size of them, the thickness of his fingersâall of it would have you squeezing your thighs together at just the thought of what he could use them for. (to make you see heaven and above, as you came to find out).
but mingyu is a gentleman in the most literal sense of the word. heâs big, heâs strong, and he compensates for that by treating you like glass. not that he doesnât fuck you hard when you ask, but putting his hands around your neck is not something that even enters his mind. heâd let himself be struck dead before heâd use his strength to harm you.
fortunately, youâre good at getting your way with himâespecially when heâs got his dick buried inside you. every last shred of his rationality goes straight out the window the moment he feels the hot, wet embrace of your pussy around him.
he grabs at your hips, your thighs, your tits; his fingers cling to every inch of your skin to keep himself from falling over the edge of insanity because youâre so fucking tight around him that itâs dizzying.
âgyu,â you moan, and heâs alert in an instant, like a dog called on by its owner, ready for his next command. âchoke me?â
his thrusts falter and his features are questioning, yet you donât miss the way his cock throbs against your walls at your words.
âbaby, i donât know if i should-â
âplease, gyu?â you plead, gazing up at him, tightening your thighs where theyâre wrapped around your waist. âfor me?â
and kim mingyu is many things, but tenacious is not one of them.
when it comes to you heâs hopeless, nothing but a weak fool in love. itâs why he doesnât stop you when you take him by his wrist and guide his giant hand to sit just above your clavicle. you donât make him squeeze or anything, you leave that up to him. you just want him to see it, to feel it. to get a glimpse into the fantasy youâve been keeping from him.
his hips slow, his eyes darkening as he gazes down at you with an affection youâve never seen from him. gently, his fingers, which almost wrap around the entire circumference of your neck, start to press. itâs barely enough pressure to tickle, but fuck, itâs so hot it sends your eyes rolling back.
suddenly mingyu gets it. adrenaline flushes through his body and goes straight to his cockâitâs a sight he wants etched into his brain forever. your eyes hazy, a tiny, content smile on your kiss-swollen lips, his massive hand gripping your neck as he fucks you with a new kind of fervour. he gets it, and he canât believe he didnât get it sooner.
you can see it clearlyâhow, in just a matter of time, heâll have his forehead pressed to yours, his cock grazing the spot that has you seeing stars over and over while his hand cuts off your airflow, choking you hard, the way youâve always wanted.
vernon â; spitting
is it cliche and predictable to assign him this? maybe. but what if heâs not the one doing the spitting?
heâs a little bit obsessed with letting you do what you want with him. itâs not a dom or sub thingâvernonâs an easygoing guy in all aspects of life, and if you feel like sitting in his lap and making out with him until youâre both gasping for air, the last thing heâll do is complain.
his favourite thing of all is when you ride him. fuck, everything about you is mesmerising; the way you grind your hips over his cock so expertly, the way you brace your hands against his chest, letting your nails rake into his skin ever so often, the way your head tips backwards and your moans spill out in the sweetest song.
vernon gazes up at you like you put the stars in the sky, like you brought about life itself, like he canât believe heâs the one who gets to see you like this. his eyes, dark, round, and glimmering, are a picture of how enamoured he is with you. he has no idea how crazy it drives you.
itâs natural the way your hand reaches for his cheek, the way your thumb moves to glide over his lips, soft and puffy. vernon falls in love for the millionth time when you dip it inside his mouth, push it gently against his tongue, gathering up his spit on the tip of your finger. it makes his dick jump to be at your mercy like this. his hips buck up into yours, desperate to drive himself even deeper into the addictive heat of your cunt.
you press his mouth open, just slightly, just enough, and lean forward. a pearl of your saliva, of you, lands in the centre of his tongue, and he doesnât have time to swallow it before your mouth finds his, kissing him with greed. itâs messyâlips smacking, your moans mingling with his, but the thing about vernon is that you cannot get enough of him. even though heâs inside you and youâre skin to skin with and your mouths are connected.
you pull away, your grin cat-like, your attention shifting back to the stretch of his cock as you bounce up and down him with a newfound desperation.
âgod, youâre hot,â he whispers, his own lips quirking into a fucked-out smile.
âyeah? you like it when i spit in your mouth, hansollie? so dirty,â you reply.
he doesnât last much longer after that.

âWhatâs got you so grumpy?â
Sukuna dodges your finger. It fails to meet its destination of his cheek as he tilts his head to the side, earning a frown from you before you huff and try again.
He looks up from his phone with an irritated glance when your fingertip digs into his face.
âWhat are you talking about?â He grunts.
He knows exactly what youâre talking about. Normal Sukuna is irritable enoughâgrumpy Sukuna is about as bad tempered as a hornet whoâs had its nest kicked. (Which is to say: heâs pretty fucking unfriendly at the moment.)
âYouâre sulking,â you point outâand that statement earns a sharp glare from him as you seat yourself on his lap. (Still, he makes room easily for you, leaning back on the couch and putting his phone down to the side so his hands can rest on your hips. Grumpy Sukuna is never grumpy enough to push your body awayâif anything, itâs the one way to get him less agitated).
âIâm not fucking sulking,â he says. Itâs almost petulant, but you have enough grace to spare his dignity and not point it out. âI donât sulk.â
âAre you sure?â You raise a disbelieving browâhe clicks his teeth at the way you choose to question him, but it softens considerably when your lips peck his jaw delicately. âYou look pretty sulky to me.â
âGet your eyes checked.â
âCanât. Then I might see you for all your ugliness. We wouldnât want to throw years down the drain once I come to my senses do we?â
Itâs his turn to raise a brow, sarcastically snorting as you give him a cheeky wink. âIf you wanna try ân be a smart ass, at least be realistic about it. Saw you checking me out just this morning through the mirror.â
âMaybe you need your eyes checked,â you huff, âI was not checking you out.â
âPretty sure you were,â he smirks, lips pulling into a haughty grin. Getting under your skin with his smugness is about the only way to cheer him up, it seems, because he looks rather pleased when he adds, âitâs okay. Donât blame ya for beinâ possessed by my impressive physique.â
âToo bad your personality isnât as dazzling,â you quip back easily.
Itâs meant to be lighthearted, of courseâbut it seems to be the wrong thing to say. Quite wrong, in fact, because as soon as the words escape you, he tenses before locking his jaw.
Thereâs a flash of something in his eyes. Something you donât think youâve ever seen in Sukunaâs faceâdoubt. Itâs a little odd, in all realness. Sukuna is not a doubtful person. Heâs confident, and heâs confident enough that itâs almost to a fault. Heâs cocky and smug and sometimes a little too self-assured for it to be considered good for his health.
Itâs a bit unsettling to see his face almost fall at something you say, especially when you just say it for the sake of light banter.
âYeah?â He chuckles dryly. It sounds dangerously self-deprecatingâenough that it makes you frown. âGood thing I have my abs to keep you glued to my side then, huh?â
âWell, itâs not just your abs,â you hum, one hand smoothing over his shirt to feel the ridges of his muscles through the shirt. âYour boobs are pretty great, too.â
To prove your point, you give his left pectoral a gentle squeeze. He scowls before shoving your hand away as blush creeps along the back of his neck.
âYou fucking freak,â he mutters.
Something is bothering him. You know you canât directly ask it out of him, otherwise heâll deny it left and right, but something is bothering him. Sukuna is not good with words or emotions. In fact, heâs pretty awful at anything that has to do with anyoneâs feelings. (Heâs better about yours more than otherâs, but heâs pretty far from good.)
You donât mind. Thereâs something oddly charming about witnessing the way he navigates softening up for youâitâs like watching a baby take their first steps. Wobbly. Slow. Unsure. Pretty badly executed, but endearingly rewarding all at the same.
Except, this time, itâs not your emotions heâs navigating. For some reason, yours are easy than his own. Navigating yours means he doesnât have to try. He knows you better than he knows himself. Knows when your feelings are hurt by the twitch of your brows alone. Knows youâre sad by the dimness in your eyes. Knows youâre pretending joy when your laugh is quieter than usual. Knows youâre faking it when your smile is a much more tight lipped and a less bright version.
But his own feelings are complicated. A lot more than he cares to try and understand them for. In true Sukuna fashion, he always aims to ignore his problems until they seemingly disappear.
But youâre too difficult to let that slide. He brushes things under the rug, and you pull the rug from under his feet and make him fall face first into his problems.
âHey,â you nudge him, cupping his face with your hand gently, âwhatâs gotten into you? Itâs weird when youâre not pissing me off a couple of times every hour.â
âAnd thatâs supposed to be a good thing?â He challenges, like your words seem to tick him off more, âwhat are you sittinâ here for if Iâm always pissing you off?â
Oh, you think. So thatâs what it is.
You smile, humming before you gently tilt his face up. Something vulnerable is attached to that frown of his. Like heâs waiting for your answer because he needs something to hold onto. Some metaphorical lifeline where your feelings are attached to his own, just to keep you chained together. Where youâre always somewhere that he also is. Where he doesnât have to care about his emotions because what you feel is what he feels, too, and as long as youâre okay, so is he.
But you care. You seem to care a pretty great deal because you lean in and brush your nose against his as you kiss his lips softly.
âWho cares if you piss me off?â You snort, âI piss you off better. Iâm pretty good at it.â
âYou are,â he agrees instantly.
You give him a fleeting huff against his mouth as you mumble, âyou donât have to agree so fast.â
It pulls a small laugh from him, making his arms snake around your waist and tug your body closer. Chest to chest, heartbeat thumping in two, synchronized rhythms.
âWhat happens when Iâm all old and expiring and my abs are gone?â He raises a brow. You hum, stroking a thumb along his cheek as you smile and admire him.
âWeâll still be pissing each other off, I bet.â
âThatâs supposed to be good?â He repeats, this time much more unsure. Anyone else could hardly catch the air of hesitance in his words, but you catch it instantly.
âWhy not?â You shrug, âit always worked for us, hasnât it?â
âYeah,â he scoffs, âthatâs until it doesnât.â He spits the words out, not meeting your eyes. Itâs like they taste acrid is mouth and he canât bring himself swallow them down.
You donât say anything. Instead, you lean in and just press a line of kisses from his chin to the corner of his lips, purposely dodging his mouth and littering small, delicate pecks along his cheek. And then his forehead. And then the bridge of his nose.
Never his lips, though. And he gets increasingly frustrated by it.
âWhat are you waiting for?â He grumbles, eyeing you with a look that screams: quit fucking around.
You fight back an amused smile. âDoes it piss you off?â
âCourse it does. Kiss me properly or back off my faceââ
âCause you love me right?â You ask cheekily. He pauses, thinking on it for a moment before slumping wearily.
âAnd if I do?â
âYou piss me off too. Because I love you too,â you whisper, forehead against his as your hands cradle his cheeks. Because you do.
When he texts late, and makes your blood boil, itâs only because you love him. When heâs brutally honest and doesnât say what you want to hear, youâre only mad because you care what he thinks so much. When heâs stubborn and refuses to meet you halfway, youâre only angry because thereâs no one else youâd rather cross the bridge with than him.
He pisses you off. You care enough to be pissed because itâs him. And when you piss him off too, he cares enough to deal with it because itâs you.
Itâs a funny, twisted little way to love and be loved, but it works. For some odd reason, it does. Itâs a seamless, smooth, crackless road.
You donât ever fix something thatâs not broken.
âThat doesnât make sense,â he sighs, resigning himself to your weird, roundabout explanation. You laugh, pinching his cheek as you grin brightly.
âThatâs because youâre a bit dim.â
âYeah,â he rolls his eyes, âokay. Anything else?â
âYeah, actually. I love you.â
He pauses. Swallows for a moment before his arms tighten their grip on your hips just a smidge before burying his face into your neck and mumbling, âme too. Love you so much, it pisses me off.â
âI like to get under your skin like that,â you stroke his hair, beaming as you add, âguess youâll just have to deal with it.â
His lips stretch into a small grin before a low, rumbling chuckle breathes itself against your skin. âGuess so.â
ââââââââ
a/n: insecure modern! au sukuna who doesnât admit it and refuses to acknowledge that heâs aware heâs difficult to love and canât understand why you love him but he also doesnât want to question it for fear of scaring you away is very near and dear to me and iâll be talking about it from my grave still. youâll just hear my ghostly voice spooking you through the night talking about how heâs a softie deep down under all the layers. like an ogre okay? ogres have LAYERS.

the build up | s.r.
in which you and Spencer spend an entire day just waiting to make it to the hotel room
margotober masterlist
who? spencer reid x fem!reader category: smut (18+ mdni) content warnings: reader is fine she's probably just ovulating, fingering, protected p in v sex, spencer does the post-coital pick up clean up, heavy petting (in the beginning), jealousy, kind of one bed trope?, spencer does math so he doesn't come too fast, not very edited, some case details and the case mentions drug use, hotch is a cockblock, spencer's tie is a cockblock word count: 4.23k a/n: okay we are so back thank you for letting me take a day
It starts first thing in the morning.
You and Spencer didnât need to find your way to the hotel lobby until eight, so once you were both ready to go, the fact that it was only six-thirty took you by surprise. The two of you had been the first to make your way back to the hotel last night, immediately falling asleep once your heads hit the pillows.
As far as hotels went, this one wasnât so bad. The hot water lasted long enough to get the both of you through the shower, and the promise of a continental breakfast always gave you something to look forward to. It was by pure luck that the hotel just barely had enough rooms for the teamâcontingent on one pair sharing a king bed.
Hotch had begrudgingly handed you the key cards, letting you know that HR could never find out that he allowed this.
Though, with the home Spencerâs hands had found on your waist, you couldnât care less what HR had to say about it.
Very slowly, you grind your hips into Spencerâs, sparing a moment to smile against his lips. He had pulled you onto the bed while you were in the middle of getting dressed, electing to take advantage of your room assignment while you still could.
âSpence,â you whisper, your voice gentle in the dim light of dawn.
His hands were firmly set on your waist, you felt the callus on his finger that had been left by his gun, the coarseness of his hand in direct juxtaposition with the soft skin on your torso. Carefully, his thumb sweeps over the band of your bra, wanting to undo your half-adorned outfit.
With your knees on either side of him, you settle onto him, the chiffon of your blouse fluttering onto his bare chest.
Your phone going off is the most unwelcome sound, the LED screen flashing as the phone call comes through. Remaining at your perch, you reach over to the nightstand, unplug your phone, and answer the call, âHey, Hotch.â
Recognition and a little disappointment dawn on Spencerâs face, his hands dropping to your hips.
âAre you able to be ready in fifteen minutes? There was another killing overnight, and Iâd like to get a look at the crime scene while itâs still fresh,â your unit chief asks over the phone, and you find yourself thankful that he hadnât knocked on your door.
Pressing your lips together, you nod even though he canât see you, âYeah,â you sigh, âWeâll be right out.â
The third body makes this the third dumpsite, the magic number that gives Spencer all of the starting points he needs to make headway on a geographic profile. Heâll be directed to the police precinct while you go to the crime scene with other team members.
Groaning, you melodramatically fall sideways onto the mattress, letting your hair fan out on the starchy white sheets of the hotel bed. âWe have to go,â you announce mournfully, recognizing just how wrong it is to bury your sexual frustrations while you mentally prepare to spend your day hunting a serial killer.
In your defense, it has been a while.
Spencer gets up before you do, carefully doing up each button of his dress shirt, the plastic buttons sliding through eyelets as he does so. Against your better judgment, you pull yourself to a sitting position in bed, doing up the buttons of your own shirt with considerably less poise before standing and adjusting your pants.
Begrudgingly fully clothed, you step up to Spencer, pulling him closer to you by the fabric of his silk tie. Taking the bottom tail of his tie and pushing the double Windsor knot closer to the hollow of his throat, ignoring your impure thoughts as he hooks his fingers in the belt loops of your dress pants.
Tenderly, Spencer drops a soft kiss on your hairline, âDo you have everything?â
You nod, stepping up on your tiptoes to kiss him, âYeah, letâs go.â
Youâre about ready to sing Emilyâs praises when she lifts up two cups of coffee in the air for the two of you to take, you gleefully accept one and take a sip while Spencer takes the other one. Preparing for the burnt sludge you can usually find at a hotel; you cringe when what you find in the cup is almost painfully sweet.
Reaching out your hand for the cup in Spencerâs hand, you shake your head at him, âNo way, trade,â you prompt, swapping paper cups with him while he looks at you curiously, âYou wonât like that one.â
He lets you trade out the cups without a debate, carefully maneuvering the cups so that you donât get burnt by the hot coffee. Now you have your proper sludge, bitter to the tongue is better than the sugar rush you would have gotten. Part of you thinks you might be totally desensitized to the taste of burnt coffee, as thatâs what you usually find in police precincts, but when you take the first sip of your coffee, youâre immediately proven wrong. Next to you, Spencer chuckles at the distaste thatâs sure to be written all over your face.
Trying to ignore the way Spencer is one-handedly adjusting his satchel in front of his crotch, you stare straight ahead to where JJ and Morgan are emerging from the other hallway, âSo, what do we know?â
âSimilar victimology, about two miles from the last dumpsite,â Prentiss responds, taking a swig of her own coffee, âHotch and Rossi are bringing the cars around.â She frowns at you slightly, eyeing your appearance as if she knows something you donât.
Before you can ask, she leans in closely to you, her dark hair brushing your shoulder as she whispers, âThe buttons on your shirt are done up wrong.â
Your face warms, eyes widening as she pulls away from you, âI just⊠got ready in a hurry this morning.â
âIâm sure you did,â she jests, raising her eyebrows as she looks out the door.
Handing your coffee off to Spencer, you reach down to undo the last few buttons of your shirt, grateful that the hotel lobby was empty while you fixed yourself up. âThanks,â you breathe, taking your coffee back from Spencer before looking down at the redone buttons, just making sure theyâre properly done now.
At least you had an easy fix, a quick glance at Spencerâs bag placement tells you heâs having a much harder time hiding the evidence of this morning from your teammates.
Being separated from Spencer allows you to focus all of your energy on the case at hand instead of drifting away to your morning, but as soon as you see him in the conference room, your resolve falters.
While heâs leaning over the table in the precinct, your eyes catch on the way heâs shed his jacket, pushing his sleeves up over his forearms in a way that makes your cheeks heat up. You take a quick detour to the kitchenette and get a glass of water from the jug, hoping to cool yourself off from the inside out.
âHey,â a familiar voice calls from behind you, his voice is low as he gently sweeps a hand over your back. The movement is soft enough not to raise any local eyebrows about the ethics of your relationship, but itâs enough to send a wave of goosebumps across your body.
Staring at your cup of water like itâs the fountain of youth, you hum in response, âHi,â you breathe, checking the time on your watch before you close your eyes. âHowâs it going?â You ask, nodding your head in the direction of the chaotic whiteboard in the conference room. Whiteboard markers of varying colors and widths are scattered around the table.
âWe have a two-mile radius near the neighborhood of Summit Cove, but Iâd like to narrow it down. Thereâs a lot of tree coverage in that area and if the UnSub keeps accelerating his timeline, we wonât be able to cover that much ground before he strikes again.â He explains, either not noticing or not caring about the way one of the local officers is making googly eyes at him.
You keep your eyes on her, but continue your conversation with Spencer, âThereâs a reservoir out there too, right? Do you think there could be a connection with the UnSub and the water?â
Thinking about it for a moment, Spencer shakes his head, âItâs not likely. There hasnât been any indication that water is important to the UnSub so far.â
The two of you share a look, a silent acknowledgment that you couldnât rule anything outânot in your line of work.
âAre you busy? Maybe a pair of fresh eyes could help narrow down the geo-profile,â he offers, leaning against the laminate counter of the kitchenette.
You hum, âIâm waiting on the toxicology report from our last victim.â Holding out your glass of water to him, you tilt your head to the side, âWill you bring this to the conference room? Iâm gonna run to the restroom and Iâll meet you there.â
Spencer nods, taking the cup from your hands, âAre you alright?â
Already making your way to the bathroom, you give a thumbs up behind your back before nearly throwing yourself in the womenâs restroom. Pacing around the small space, you take a deep breath, begging to pull yourself together. âYou just have to get through this case,â you mutter to yourself, running a hand through your hair.
This morning was the third consecutive time you and Spencer had been interrupted. Every time either one of you initiates sex, something else comes up. The first time, his mother called, which you werenât entirely sure youâd ever fully recover from. The second time, the fire alarm had gone off in your building, which was the first instance of that happening in the years youâve lived there. Then, this morning, Hotch had called.
The universe was being a prude, and you were becoming embarrassingly frustrated.
Biting down a yelp, you jump in surprise when the door swings open. With wide eyes, you watch as Spencer shuts the door and locks it, bringing your attention to the fact that you had forgotten to lock it yourself. âWhat are you doing?â You ask, hoping no one spared him any mind when he went into the bathroom just moments after you.
âWhatâs wrong?â He ignores your question, cupping your cheeks with a gentleness that makes you want to turn into a puddle. âYouâre warm,â he observes, âAre you feeling okay?â
Your head bobs, nervously trying to assure him that for all intents and purposes, youâre okay. âIâm fine,â you whisper, looking into his concerned brown eyes.
His eyebrows lift, and you can tell that he doesnât believe you. âWell, youâre pacing and talking to yourself in the bathroom of a police precinct, so, deductively, something is going on that youâre not telling me about.â
Groaning, you tilt your head back in an attempt to avoid his gaze, sometimes being a profiler and dating a profiler was a brutal combination. âShouldnât you be working on the geo-profile?â
âIâm waiting for the ink to dry on the map,â he expertly maneuvers through your deflectionâheâs had years of practice doing it with you. âWhatâs going on?â
You huff, bringing your head back down and meeting his eyes, âSpencer, Iâm horny. Iâm like fourteen-year-old boy whoâs just seen his first pair of boobs horny. I came in here to talk myself off of a sex ledge and you are not helping to deplete my need to jump your bones.â
One look at him tells you heâs trying his best not to laugh, which would just make you feel more ridiculous. âAngel,â he says seriously, âWhat is a sex ledge?â
âI donât know!â You reel yourself in, not wanting to draw attention to the bathroom, âIt felt like the right thing to say at the time.â
Spencer chuckles softly, reaching a hand up to tuck your hair behind your ears before gently placing a kiss on your lips. Then another on your cheek before doing the same on the other side of your face.
Contently, you hum at your current predicament, âWhat-â he kisses your lips again. âWhat are you doing?â
He doesnât answer right away, choosing instead to lock your lips together. Moving them against yours in a way that resembled this morningâit made your heart soar.
Hesitating slightly, you reach your arms up and loop them over his shoulders, kissing him back as youâd been longing to all day. Â
âIâm kissing you,â he whispers, kissing your lips again. âTrying to tide you over until the case is over and we get to be alone. Until then, do you want to help me narrow the geographic profile?â
In awe of Spencerâs ability to make you feel normal when you feel absurd, you shrug meekly, âMaybe one more kiss?â
âIâm shocked it was the third victimâs mother,â JJ says from the back of the group, talking about the case. The arrest was made about an hour ago, and the local precinct will be able to build the rest of the case on its own.
You raise your eyebrows, âIâm not. Thinking about the stony expression she had when she went to claim the body, Iâm not surprised at all.â You met the UnSub earlier that morning, as it turned out, and the lack of surprise when you told her about the drugs in her daughterâs system made sense to you now.
Hotch checks the time on his watch, âEveryone head inside. Weâll take off with the sunrise tomorrow.â
The team nods in unison, filtering in through the lobby as everyone takes their designated hallways to their rooms, you and Spencer being at the very end of one of those hallways. You were grateful to Hotch for making the executive decision not to leave Colorado tonight, with the three-hour flight taken into account, you wouldnât make it back to Quantico until nearly midnight.
Spencer swipes his key card in the door, letting you in before walking in behind you. He takes a moment once heâs inside to lock the door and latch the deadbolt, leaving you to walk into the bathroom to use the clean towels that housekeeping had left to wipe your face.
âHey,â he murmurs, dropping a kiss on your clothed shoulder. He wraps his arms around your waist, holding you from behind and burying his face in your neck.
His body was warm against yours, a pleasant change from the cool temperatures outside. Leaving the towel on the bar, you turn around in Spencerâs arms, taking small steps so the two of you donât get tangled up. Leaning your head back, you smile at him knowingly, âHi,â you whisper, thrilled to finally be alone with him.
Carefully, the two of you move out of the bathroom, and you find yourself fiddling with the knot of Spencerâs tie, grumbling about how tight it is while trying to wedge your nail between the silk. âYouâre the one who tightened it,â Spencer reminds you, making better progress with your blouse.
You roll your eyes instinctively, âI really am my own worst enemy.â You drop your arms, letting Spencer take care of his tie as you unbutton the cuffs of your sleeves and tug the chiffon off.
Taking the tie off, Spencer watches as you kick off your shoes, carefully leaving them at the end of the bed before losing your footing and toppling onto the bed in a heap. He looks over at you, a bright, loving look in his eyes, âAre you alright?â
At this point, heâs asked you that so many times that youâve lost count, leaving you to reach our hand out and pull him onto the bed with you. You bite down a laugh when he scrambles to catch himself. âYou were brilliant today,â you tell him, studying the everchanging glisten of gold in his eyes.
âYou were brilliant today,â he responds, shifting so that heâs hovering over you. âYouâre brilliant every day,â he reassures you.
Your eyes widen playfully, âWell if weâre getting particularâyou are also brilliant every day.â You reach your hand up and thread your fingers in his hair, feeling the silky strands between your fingers, âAre we going to have sex now?â
Spencer chuckles in response, craning his head down to leave a soft kiss on your lips, âYes, silly girl. If you still want to.â
You nod enthusiastically, âYes,â you answer, continuing to admire the feeling of his hair between your fingers, the sensation of the heat emanating from his body warms you from above as you take a minute to breathe. âI love you,â you whisper, barely audible.
âI love you too,â he murmurs, matching your volume level.
You consider yourself lucky to be able to work with Spencer every day. There were times when one of you had to call a time-out, and you never had to worry about asking for space. âYouâre wearing too many clothes,â you let him know, raising your eyebrows expectantly.
He hums in response, dragging himself up from his place above you and standing up, giving you the freedom to move further up the bed, flopping your head on the pillows and watching him take his undershirt off. Unbuckling your own belt, you wriggle yourself out of your work pants, successfully leaving yourself in a bra and panties.
âCâmere,â you beckon to Spencer, stretching your arm out to him. He takes your hand, that all too familiar callus on his hand touching the one thatâs mirrored on your own.
Spencer stops about halfway up your body, resting his hand on your hip and using his thumb to rub small circles on your hipbone, you sigh contentedly at the sensation of finally being touched the way you need.
The butterflies in your stomach donât come out of hiding until he starts to shuffle your underwear down your legs, pulling them past your knees until youâre able to kick them off on your own. âThank you for not making me feel bad about what happened in the bathroom,â you murmur down to him, propping yourself up on your elbows to get a better look at him.
He knits his eyebrows together when he looks at you, âWhy would I make you feel bad? We havenât had sex in two weeks. Iâd be lying to you if I told you it hasnât been on my mind. You just happened to bring it up first.â
A soft giggle escapes your lips, âItâs a good thing you carry around that bag everywhere, or else we couldâve been in big trouble.â Not necessarily trouble with work, but relentless teasing was always an option.
Thankfully Emily let you off the hook, or else youâd be more concerned with being harassed on the jet tomorrow morning. âSpeaking of,â he says, pulling himself back up and heading to his bag, rifling through his belongings before producing a small lavender packet. He sets the condom on the nightstand before finding his place again, âWhere were we?â
You take your bottom lip between your teeth, peering down at him in awe as his hand slowly makes its way closer and closer to your core. âJust about here,â you breathe, leaning your head back while his index finger breaches your entrance, slowly sliding into you with a tentativeness to reflect how long it really has been.
The wet sounds reverberate through the room, making your cheeks burn even though youâre the only two in the room, âLet me know if it gets to be too much,â Spencer tells you, hoisting himself further up on the mattress. He changes the angle of his finger as he slowly finds a rhythm.
With him right above you, you tilt your head down, hoping heâll take the hint and come kiss your lips. He does, his head ducking down until your lips touch, he carefully adds a second finger, eliciting a small gasp from your lips, but Spencer just takes the opportunity to deepen the kiss.
Cloaked in a sensual silence, the two of you are finally free to enjoy the company of one another, you extend one arm down, slipping your fingertips in between his stomach and the waistband of his briefs so that you can palm his cock. He moans into your open mouth as you sweep your thumb over the tip of his length, gathering his precum on your fingertip and spreading it over the head.
âSpence,â you gasp, so preoccupied with touching him that you had lost sight of your own pleasure, the way his hand was angled, the heel of his palm barely grazing your clit with every thrust. âWait, I wanna-â you take a breath, âI wanna go together.â
He nods in understanding, chuckling as you help him make quick work of his underwear, âEager,â he observes, reaching around your torso to unclasp your bra.
âYes,â you affirm, letting the underwire fall from your body, your nipples standing at attention, matching his cock perfectly as he reaches to the nightstand for the condom, tearing the purple packet and pinching the reservoir tip before rolling it over his length with ease.
You let your legs fall open as he finds a place between you, kneeling between your legs before he props himself up above you, your head still spinning as his hand moves between your bodies, positioning his covered cock at your pussy before he eases himself in. He takes it bit by bit, giving both of you time to adjust before he fully sheathes himself inside of you. âFuck,â he groans in your ear, the curse falling from his mouth in exactly the same way you were thinking it.
One of your hands drops next to your head, and Spencer takes the chance to intertwine your fingers together, your hands interlocked on the bed as he takes a deep breath. Hesitantly, you ask, âWhat are you doing?â
âThinking about what we have to get done when we get home tomorrow,â he tells you, dropping his head into the crook of your check.
You laugh breathily, âRight now?â
He drops a soft kiss to your collarbone, âBetter than lasting thirty seconds. I havenât done that in years.â
You hum thoughtfully, âWhat about last month whenâ ah.â He expertly cuts you off by withdrawing himself from you, almost leaving you entirely empty before easing himself back in. Apparently, he didnât want you to bring up the time you caught him trying to hold off an orgasm by doing math.
Poking your head up, you guide Spencerâs head up, his lust-hooded eyes meeting yours when you set your lips on his, soft whines escaping from your mouth as you lock your ankles behind his back, âYouâre so perfect,â he murmurs against your lips, seemingly spurred on by your need to keep him close.
In an act of desperation, you move your hand from his jawline to your clit, rubbing the sensitive spot in time with his thrusts, âBaby,â you breathe, your voice a word of warning as you feel your impending orgasm twist through your abdomen.
âMe too,â he answers, dropping his head back into the crook of your neck, continuing his movements, though they grow messy as he gets closer. âLet go,â he encourages, âCome around me.â
With a whine, you do just that, your toes curling as you reach your peak, your walls pulse around Spencerâs cock as you come, the sensation just hurtling him closer to the same euphoria. âThatâs so good,â you say, your ankles coming uncrossed with the movement as Spencer works you through your orgasm.
A choked sound comes from him as his hips stutter, his movements halted by his own orgasm, spilling his cum into the condom as you run your newly free hand down his spine, skimming your fingertips over the ridges as the both of you catch your breath.
Lifting his head, Spencer flips his hair from his eyes, sweat-dampened curls falling in front of his forehead, âWoah,â you breathe, flopping your head back on the pillows, whimpering when he pulls out of you.
âShh, itâs okay,â he whispers, carefully taking the filled condom off before speaking again, âIâll be right back, honey.â
You nod absentmindedly, pulling yourself to a sitting position on the bed, a small puddle of slick beneath you almost made you wish you had a second bed in the hotel room. âThank you,â you say when Spencer returns with a dampened washcloth.
He shakes his head when you reach your hand out for the cloth, taking it upon himself to clean you up. His gentleness as he takes care of you makes your chest tighten, he catches the way youâre looking at him when he moves to set the washcloth down, âWhatâs wrong?â
Shaking your head, âNothing, just⊠can we cuddle for a little bit?â
Spencer nods immediately, leaving the washcloth on the dirty side of the bed before laying down next to you. You settle your head on his chest, letting your body melt into his.
You know youâre eventually going to have to get up, but right now, youâre just grateful that the world decided to slow down for you two tonight.

back massages
pairing: miguel o'hara x college roommate f!reader
warnings: smut, miguel is a bit cocky, unprotected piv, suggestive massages, dry jumping
summary: you give miguel the proverbial back massage, and he returns the favour
"Ugh, my back-" he groans loudly, entering the cramped dorm room and slamming the creaking door shut in frustration.
"Still?" you reply, absent-mindedly, not looking away from your laptop screen and the from project you're working on for tonight's delivery. "Didn't the trellises at the gym help?"
You hear the cot springs coil under his weight as he drops to the bed on his stomach. "Couldn't even use them."
"Hm?" You're still half focused on your research, briefly catching the last words of his replies.
"The gym was full." He groans, shuffling on the mattress.
He is increasingly frustrated with the lack of attention he's receiving from you. You two have been teasing eachother for a while; enough of a while to get him riled up late at night, and to considerably speed up your heart rate whenever he was around.
But even now, you were afraid of being more obvious than necessary. He seemed so confident and easy to talk to, but sometimes you could only wonder if that's just what he was like with everyone else.
He wasn't. He was only this open to you. This relaxed. At least he wasn't aware of how attractive and intimidating his confidence could be to you.
Your delicate fingers kept tapping on the keyboard, unrelenting. Nearly indifferent.
"Didn't you say you'd finish it this morning?" he groans, slightly muffled by the pillow he rested his head against.
"Yeah." You aren't paying attention. Truthfully, beneath the façade, you can barely understand what you're reading, your eyes mechanically darting across the text in front of you. All you can think about is how much you'd want to straddle him and make out right now. Especially with the way he's groaning from the back pain-
"- I overslept." You explain, scarce and somewhat cold. He sighs deeply, and you feel your heart sink into your stomach. Fuck. You don't even know if being roommates is either a blessing or a curse. How are you even supposed to study with-
"Can't you take a break? Por favor." He speaks, his voice down an octave. You can't take it anymore. You peek at him over your shoulder, pondering.
He's shirtless. Of course. He has to be doing it on purpose at this point.
Your attention drifts over the line of his back that bends just slightly for him to hold his beefy arms under his pillow. His muscles ripple as he shifts to get more comfortable into the greyish bedsheets.
"Give me a back rub." He challenges, squinting his eyes and watching your face drop the second his request is processed in your brain.
"Come on." He chuckles lowly. A few ruffled strands of hair on his face make it look like he had just woken up. You can't resist. "Help me feel better."
Raising from the desk chair and moving to sit on the edge of the bed, you place your hands on his shoulder blades, pushing gently, kneading the tensed muscles there. He sighs deeply once again as he feels your small, warm palms on his broad back.
"Ugh." he groans, relaxing under your touch. "Push harder."
You comply, applying more pressure, digging the heels of your hands into his toned muscles.
Your vision washes over his body, comforted by the fact that he can't see you. His back is so much bigger than your whole body. You feel an unfathomably strong need to lay on him, to feel the heat of his skin invade yours. Or better yet, have him lay on you, feel the whole weight of him, cozy and constant.
"Oh-" He moans, raspy and low when you find another tensed up knot, "-feels so good." You're starting to soak your panties from the sounds he's making.
"You're so good at this." He halfly speaks into his pillow, evidently pleased with the special treatment. "Ah, yeah, right there- oh-"
Insisting on the spot, you start putting your upper body weight into the strokes, not having any more force in your arms. He groans again at the sudden change, only this time it comes out very much like a prolonged moan.
Soon enough your own back starts to hurt from the twisted position you're in, legs dangling on one side of the mattress and your torso turned to him. Ceasing your movements, you bring your hands to your lower back, pushing so you could straighten your spine as a faint ache begins to form.
"Get on the bed." He moves his head to gaze up at you over his shoulder. "Straddle my waist. Better for the both of us.", He advices, as if it's nothing.
Your heart rate picks up as uneasiness shoots through your veins as in a lighting strike. You've never been this close to him before. This physical, this intimate. Heart fluttering at the faint hope of reciprocated feelings and the possibility of something more, you silently accept the suggestion.
Climbing on the bed, you hop on his lower back, gradually and slowly laying your bodyweight on him.
"Is this okay?" You're finally settled, and he groans in an infinitely relieved exhale.
"More than okay." One of his hands slips away from under his pillow to tap on your thigh, nearly making you jump. "Continue, it was so good."
Trying to ignore his hand still resting two millimetres away from your leg, you resume the massage, searching for more knots over his broad back.
"That's it, that's it, oh fuck- ugh" His voice sultry and raspier, he flexes his back muscles involuntarily the second you finally reach the spot.
You have to use all that's left of your self control not to accidentally clench your cunt on his lower back. But you can't help it. Wearing a skirt wasn't the best idea today.
The way he's slightly squirming underneath you as you massage his huge shoulders, the way your clothed clit rubs against his skin with the motions have you shivering lightly.
"Yeah- oh, fuck" Your hands are behind his neck, undoing all the aches and rigidity from hours of hunching over his desk, of not taking long coveted breaks.
"I'm done, my arms are starting to hurt." You announce, partially true. You also couldn't stand his noises anymore, all the obscene groans and rough moans, fearing he might start feeling now wet you've actually gotten in the meantime.
In a surge of confidence, you lean forward, more or less intentionally letting your breasts squeeze flush against his back, and you kiss his cheek, soft and tender.
He's surprised and flustered for a flashing second, before letting a smirk tug at the corners of his mouth.
"Let me give you one too, cariño."
You shiver at the pet name, hearing him talk this way to you for the first time.
How could you possibly say no?
You lay on the bed where he had been, feeling the clean sheets warm and infused with his musk.
The mattress dips, springs creaking slightly as he adjusts his weight, finally straddling your upper thighs. Your breathing quickens in shock, not having expected him to take the same position as you did. You feel his weight on you, grounding you.
His broad hands start at your shoulders, questionably innocent at first. But just as you start to think that there isn't more to the way he's sat behind your ass, to the way he's touching you, his palms drift away from the usual motions of the massage he is supposed to give you.
Expert, cursory fingers pretend to knead down, to your waist, gripping hard.
You start feeling your pulse in your neck.
One of his thighs flexes on your side as he slightly adjusts, lifting himself a mere inch above you and settling back down. Only this time, you can feel his erection through his sweats, snugly sat between the globes of your ass.
Leaning forward, his grip on your waist remains strong as he slightly grinds his cock on you from behind, his hands mimicking his rhythm as if things aren't already obvious. It's still a massage, it's just not his main goal.
"Mm- Miguel-" you attempt to protest, only it comes out as a moan laced with anticipating pleasure.
A broad, warm hand slowly and unabashedly moves from your waist up to your shoulder, only for a mere second kneading the tensed muscles before drifting down. His fingers ever so slightly slip underneath you as he palms your right breast, not stopping his hips from rubbing his dick against you.
He's slow and careful, as if still hoping you hadn't noticed or aren't bothered to ask him to get off, even through your mewls and his moaned name.
âYou're so..â He speaks quietly, for himself, âsoft, and fragile-â He leans forward, much like you did, but instead he kisses your neck, down your spine. âI wanna-â
He leaves the voiced desire unfinished as he picks your torso up to his chest, his arms encompassing you, flipping you around.
Now with your body trapped in his embrace, thighs between his and hands squished together, he kisses your flushed cheeks with fervour.
âTell me to stop.â A low whisper below your ear. Watching your face for any trace of doubt, you shake your head, ânoâ.
âDonât stop.â
Placing you back down on the mattress, he bunches your skirt up to your middle, moving your panties to the side as his other hand takes his rock hard cock out of his sweats.
You feel the precum coated head flush against your pussy lips, pushing in with a gravel groan.
As soon as he gathers the courage to advance, his length grazes your clit, your hips automatically jerking away, akin to having touched hot coal.
A shiver runs down your spine that makes your cunt flutter, his awaiting cock twitching in enthusiasm. He feels you spasm and grow wetter.
âUgh, that- you feel so good-â
Heâs only taking his time before he can bottom out inside you. With a look over your shoulder, you donât trust your voice to respond. You nod and clench your pussy around him, aiming to viciously drive him mad.
He suddenly pushes forward, hands forcing you onto him, the contact with his own blazing flesh making your brain melt and eyes roll back into your head. You can almost feel his bulbous tip in your guts, messing with your nerves and sinews.
Quickly adapting to the new conditions your body has given him, he corrects his grip on your waist, hoisting you until your feet lose contact with the bed. Back now arched, ass well-adjusted to meet his height, upper body rested on the plush pillows. He drags out halfway before sinking back in.
His hips slowly rotate against yours, his tense abdomen waving into you
You canât take it anymore. Your limbs feel like radio-static, heart sending its pulse into your pussy, breathing laboured and synced with his. The broad head flicks a spot deep inside you that curves your spine this time, feet no longer able to find balance away from the stimulation.
A strong forearm curls around your middle with snake-like speed. You settle obediently back into his hold.
Your hips wiggle closer into his, apologetically stuffing yourself full of him. He smirks at the gesture, satisfied.
âFuck, Miguel-â, you moan for him, giving him exactly what he wanted before he started pounding into you.
A combination of his pelvis slamming into yours and his hands violently dragging you back onto his dick has high-pitched whimpers crawling out of your throat. Your head rings with the sound of the bed squeaking back and forth along with the harsh returns of his cock in between your come-soaked folds.
His firm hands hold you from flinching, fingers digging into your waist while his thumbs press down into your lower back.
It's when he changes his angle that you scream out, all consciousness dissolving into raw, carnal bliss. Ruptured cries and fractions of his name bloom out of your nearly-dry throat.
He feels his heavy cock pulsate as your ass jolts with each slap, your pussy choking his dick in the process.
With a suffocating groan, he releases inside you, his ecstasy drawn-out into fractured grunts blended with heavy breaths.
You sense his warm come spilling inside you. Your own climax sends your head spinning, your loud pulse dropping in your ears.
The thunder subsides through your veins like a candle being put out by the cold.
a/n: sorry for the delay i have a ton of stuff to do for college đ

wolf and bunny
summary: you ask your best friend to fuck you in your sleep but your bottled up feelings come out to the surface... pairing: chan x reader genre: smut, best friends to lovers warnings: cnc/somnophilia, discussion of boundaries, eating out, touching, groping, unprotected sex, spanking, stranger+wolf/bunny roleplay, little red riding hood references, face-slapping (once), size kink, cockwarming, multiple rounds, feelings (ew), pet names, discussion of future scenario đ (i know i said this is the end but...we'll see) author's note: hii everyone, this is the third and final part of my wolf and bunny series, thank you so much for going on this nasty journey with me đ€ part one & part two word count: 2k
You and Chan are having a bit of a disagreement in connection with the circumstances surrounding your next game.
âBut I want to know exactly which night youâll do it.â
âIf you know, you wonât be able to fall asleep,â Chan reasons with you. âKinda like Santa Claus. Kids stay up all night waiting for him and then he never comes.â
âPlease, even if the kids were asleep, heâd still never come âcause the parents are putting the presents under the tree!â
âIt was just a metaphor.â
âA bad one. Youâre gonna have to work harder to convince me.â
âHey, wasnât this your idea in the first place?â Chan reminds you teasingly. âYouâre the one who wants me to fuck her in her sleep.â
âEy, donât pretend you wonât be into it,â you shake your head.
You are both so stubborn you donât see this ending unless one of you retreats. Then, after a brief consideration, you speak again.
âFine. You can keep the secret of the exact night youâll do this. On one condition.â
âSure, bunny, letâs hear it,â Chan listens eagerly.
âIf I wake up, you wonât stop. Iâll just pretend Iâm still sleepy and we keep going.â
âIs that even possible? I mean, for you to not wake up?â
âIt is if you drug me or something,â you shrug.
âUgh, donât give me such evil ideas. You never know when I might take advantage of you.â
âOh, Iâm counting on it, wolfie.â
âBut are you sure the sleep thing is a great idea? I mean, you wouldn't be able to say a safeword...â Chan can't help but worry, always putting your needs first and planning every scenario in great detail to make sure you're alright. Damnit, could he get any more perfect? He's so sweet and considerate you wish you could just tell him how you feel. But what if that scares him away? What if you lose not only your wicked game buddy but your best friend in the entire world? You wouldn't be able to live with yourself.
âYes, I'm positive, Chris,â you place your hand on top of his. âI trust you 100% and know that you'll look after me. The question is, do you trust my judgement?â
âI mean, I do trust you. It's just that last time you didn't communicate your discomfort clearly and I wouldn't want to risk messing up to the point of accidentally hurting you,â Chan verbalizes his anxieties.
âI get what you're saying but it's not like I'm open to doing this with a stranger. It's you we're talking about. You've always been great at taking care of people so I know you wouldn't go too far. But at the same time, I wouldn't mind if you went loose. If anyone can take it and accept you fully, it would be me.â
âYeah, I know. You're right. But just in case, I want you to know beforehand that I care about you and respect you like a lot. So, even if I get carried away, I still want you to feel safe.â
âAww, Chris, ya old softie! I always feel safe with you, it goes without saying!â you insist.
âWell, I like hearing you say it.â
You gulp nervously. His voice is so commanding and yet so reassuring that your words have never rung truer. He's more to you than a safety net and you hope he knows it. He's incredibly thoughtful and infinitely kinder than the first impression. He's a riddle in the way he keeps surprising you and yet you wanna keep learning more about him. He's hundreds of the loveliest words in the dictionary multiplied. He's more comforting than your favourite blanket. He's warmth personified and you would be an idiot to let him go.
âI'll try to say it more often, then,â you promise. âWhen I'm with you, I know no harm will come my way. But here's the thing...you're the only one I'd willingly let hurt me.â
âI don't want to hurt you, though.â
âYou don't?â you pout, suddenly feeling guilty. Then, what have you been doing? Was he forcing himself to act out these fantasies for your sake alone? You genuinely thought he was enjoying them as much as you were.
âSorry, that came out wrong,â Chan is quick to explain. âI like our games. I meant that I don't want to hurt you emotionally. Ever.â
âAh, yeah, that makes sense,â you chuckle, feeling a little stupid. âWell, you don't need to worry about that. Glad we had this talk.â
âMe too,â Chan gazes at you fondly.
âSo, which night are you fucking me while I'm asleep?â you attempt to find out while he has this dazed look in his eye.
âNext- Hey, nice try! I'm not telling you, you impatient devil.â
âAw, man, I was so close,â you bemoan the uncertainty of your future.
âYou wish.â
The long-awaited night finally arrives. Chan has a key to your place so entering it is too easy. He makes sure he picks a night when youâve complained about being exhausted and sleepy all day long. And he is certain that youâre passed out in your room, not suspecting a thing. Well, a part of you is always anticipating what could happen, but still.
Heâs beyond glad to find you sound asleep. Youâre wearing nothing but a t-shirt and some flimsy panties. Chan admires your sleeping form for a couple of brief moments before he gets down to business.
He wonders where to start. Should he tear them up? Or maybe push them to the side? Should he grope your boobs through your shirt? Or perhaps slide his hands beneath it, stroking your nipples directly? So many opportunities. He wants to do everything, he decides.
Chan starts by moving your panties to the side and licking your tiny pussy. He touches you with his fingers, gently prodding your entrance but not exactly sticking them inside yet. Then, he sneaks his hand underneath your shirt, teasing your nipples. Fuck, youâre so soft.
He marvels at the knowledge that youâd trust him with something like that. Though the previous scenarios were hot and intense as fuck, this one hits different for him. Maybe because last time you were awake, you were still in control because you could say the safeword whenever. Maybe because you want him at your most vulnerable even in your sleep. Or maybe because heâs slowly falling for you, but he doesnât know how to say it.
Itâs okay. Chanâll show you, instead. He pinches your nipples lightly and continues to make out with your pussy. You are so wet already itâs adorable. He wonders if youâre dreaming of him, as you shift slightly in your sleep. He wants to drag this out. But how?
He uses his nails to trace circles on your skin, which causes goosebumps to appear. Are you cold? He wants to keep you warm and full at all times. Chan canât take it any longer and takes his cock out, sliding in so perfectly. As if you were made for him. Made to take his cock and let him do crazy things to you. His sweet little bunnyâŠ
You moan desperately and the spell is broken. Youâre awake. He wanders if youâll speak or heâll have to make you. Both options sound quite appealing. But he wants to hear your voice more than anything.
âShhh, go back to sleep, sweetheart,â Chan whispers gently.
âW-who are you?â you cry out.
Aw, youâre gonna pretend not to know him? That hurts. But it can be fun, he thinks.
âJust the big bad wolf,â he chuckles at the irony of it.
âPlease, don't do this,â you fake not wanting it, even though you've never wanted anything so badly in your life.
âOh, bunny, but I already am,â Chan replies, spanking your ass a couple of times in the meantime.
âG-gonna split me in h-half,â you mumble, voice muffled against your pillow.
âYeah? G'na ruin my sweet girl?â he speaks to you so softly you want to melt right there and then.
âFeel so full 'n so s'eepy,â you slur helplessly.
âAw, tiny, go back to sleep, then,â Chan pats your head soothingly.
âCan't. What a deep voice you have!â you play along too well.
âAll the better to degrade you with, my slutty bun,â Chan laughs, while still continuing to fuck you.
âWhat big hands you have!â you keep saying.
âAll the better to grab your tits with,â Chan chuckles and makes good on his promise by playing with your boobs.
âAnd slap me with!â you remind him playfully.
âAs you wish, princess,â Chan growls and slaps you across the face harshly but not harsh enough to actually leave a mark.
âWhat big eyes you have,â you sigh wistfully.
âAll the better to stare at you fall apart,â Chan responds cleverly.
âAnd what big cock you have!â you scream, barely resisting the urge to laugh. Are you a silly little bunny or Little Red Riding Hood? At this point, you don't care, but it feels too good regardless.
âAll the better to fuck you with,â he grunts loudly, spilling inside of you.
You follow rightaway and urge him to stay like this for a while. Maybe round two is in order?
âYou know what else is big?â Chan teases you.
âOh, shut up, Bigfoot!â you reply and are no longer able to hold it in, breaking into laughter. Chan also finds the interaction hilarious and buries his head in the nook of your shoulder. You stroke his hair without realizing. Shit, he's so adorable you almost say the three words. Is it too risky? Too soon? You need a distraction. You need... âFuck me again.â
âAlready? Aren't you tired?â Chan wants to make sure.
âFuck me till I fall asleep again,â you ask him.
âUm, okay, sure,â Chan looks a bit confused but does as you ask.
This time there is less talking and more fucking but no matter how many rounds you go, sleep doesn't come again. You both orgasm more times than you could count, but somehow, it isn't nearly enough to distract you from the inevitable. You love him. Your heart knows it, your pussy knows it, even your brain knows it but is stubborny telling you not to confess for fear of somehow ruining things.
Once Chan decides he's completely spent for the night, he pulls out of you and rips off the bandaid.
âAre you alright? Something suddenly shifted but I can't quite place it,â he tucks a piece of hair behind your ear and nudges you softly with his shoulder.
âDo you want the truth that might mess up everything or do you want me to lie to you and say I'm fine?â you ask, even though you're already on the verge to tell the truth.
âWith you? Always the truth, please,â Chan clearly states his preference.
You sigh deeply and tilt to the side so you're facing him properly.
âI think...no, I know I love you.â
âI love you, too, babybun,â Chan responds fondly and kisses you on the nose.
âIn a non-friendly way. And I don't mean just sexually, either. I mean, the friendly way and the sexual way haven't diminished, of course. But I also love you in a...I want to be yours, your girlfriend, your lover, your romantic partner, your everything.â
Chan is taken aback by your words. You...feel the same?
âYou already are,â he confesses genuinely.
âHuh?â you blink in shock.
âI mean...you are already my everything. But, if you'd like me to officially ask you, then...will you be my girlfriend, angel?â
âYou...you'll have me?â you are still in disbelief.
âI thought I already had ya,â Chan pinches your cheeks lightly.
âDamn right you do, Mr. Wolf,â you giggle and pull him into a kiss.
He smells like autumn, his embrace exudes warmth and his lips taste like home.
âYou have no idea how badly I've wanted to tell you about my feelings,â Chan confesses. âWhen I found that story of yours in your drafts, I just couldn't resist the opportunity. I hoped that if I turned your fantasies into reality that you'd eventually fall for me.â
âOh, Channie...I've been falling for you for longer than you realize,â you admit shyly. âHow could I not? You're everything I've ever wanted.â
So, this is what it feels like to have the world in your hands. Huh. You could get used to it.
Bonus:
âNo, I'm not kidnapping you!â Chan is adamant as you two sit in a nice restaurant.
âBut Chriiiis,â you whine. âYou said you'd do anything for my birthday.â
âAnything but that!â Chan shakes his head in amusement.
âWhy not? It can be fun!â
âFun? What if something goes wrong, what if someone sees us and thinks I'm actually kidnapping you, what if...hear me out, here, I go to prison for it?â
âWell, duh, then I'd bail you out!â
âAs if you could afford it,â Chan rolls his eyes.
âHey! But seriously, I'll just tell the cops that I asked you to kidnap me.â
âWhat if they don't believe you and think you have a Stockholm syndrome?â
âI'll...think of something. Come on, we're going too far with the what-ifs.â
âYou gotta be prepared for any situation. You'd know that if you carried the heavy burden of being a dom,â Chan tsks at you.
âI'd know that if you let me,â you give him a wink.
âThat will only happen the day I agree to fake-kidnap you.â
âSo, tomorrow? It's a date!â you grin excitedly.
âKeep dreaming, darling.â
âOh, I will.â

baby fever
in which reader and spencer discuss having a baby while at work
fluff warnings/tags: fem/AFAB!reader, bau!reader, BOYFRIEND!SPENCER or husband if u so desire, discussions of pregnancy/having a baby (obviously), reader wants a baby, so does spencer a/n: god i need him so badly. should i write follow up smut?? mwahaha evil emoji......
The coffee finished brewing minutes ago, but youâre still standing by the pot, watching Andersonâs daughter toddling around the bullpen on chubby legs. Sheâs not very adept at walking, but her spirit is indomitableâevery time she tips a little too far forward, she catches herself and gets right back up. Itâs not like sheâs doing anything particularly impressive or even interesting, but you canât take your eyes off her. Every movement makes your heart twinge, every giggle or curious quirk of her head is so adorable it physically hurts in your chest.Â
From your peripheral vision you see Spencer approaching, bearing his own empty mug, but not even he can draw your attention away from the adorable little pixie and her tutu and her pigtails.Â
âThat is the cutest kid I have ever seen in my life,â you whisper to Spencer, hoping the quiet tone of your voice will help hide how much you feel like cooing and squealing.Â
He smiles to himself as he pours his coffee.Â
âThatâs Rosie. Have you said hi yet?âÂ
âIâm afraid if I talk to her Iâll try to keep her.âÂ
âShe is pretty adorable.âÂ
You turn to him as he leans next to you on the counter, sipping his coffee casually.Â
âAdorable? Spencer. Puppies are adorable. Youâre not understanding the magnitude of what I mean right now. I canât explain to you how much adorable doesnât cut it. Iâm not kidding about the child abduction thing.âÂ
HIs eyes slide around the room as he chuckles into his mug.Â
âLetâs maybe not joke about kidnapping a child in FBI headquarters.âÂ
âIâm not joking,â you hiss. âI feel like Iâm going insane. I justââÂ
At the last second you stop yourself, pulling your bottom lip between your teeth.Â
âYou just what?â Spencer asks, adjusting the hem of your shirt with his free hand. You glance down, watching the care he takes in the tiniest detail that you wouldnât have given a second thought to.Â
âIs something wrong with my shirt?âÂ
His eyes flick up to yours, hazel tinted with mild surprise.Â
âNo. It just was sliding up your waist a little bit.â As he says it, his knuckles brush the bare skin of your torso. You suppress a shiver, studying his profile once he pulls his hand away and goes for another sip.Â
âCan we have one?âÂ
Your inopportune timing results in coffee dribbling down Spencerâs chin as he quickly attempts to wipe it away, wide eyes torn between you and trying to assess the mess heâs made.Â
âYou--you mean like a baby?âÂ
âYeah, like a baby,â you say, grabbing his shoulders and squaring them to you before dabbing the coffee from his face and jacket. He watches on as you clean him up, completely still except for his wandering eyes.Â
âI thought we were waiting on that.âÂ
âWaiting for what? A better time? Thereâs never going to be a good time with this job. And itâs not like weâd have to quit. Look at JJ. She has two and still does it.âÂ
âFirst of all,â Spencer begins, quickly recovering from your surprise proposition, âI donât love the idea of either of us being in the field with you pregnant. And secondly, JJ also has Will and her mother to take care of the boys. We donât have that. Weâre both here all the time.âÂ
âI donât care,â you groan, trashing the paper towels once youâve done the best you can with his clothing. âWeâd figure it out somehow!âÂ
âMhm. It sounds like youâve really devoted some careful consideration to this.âÂ
You drop your head to your shoulder, giving him your best puppy dog eyes and pulling lightly on his shirtsleeve.Â
âOh, come on. You havenât thought about it at all? My perfect brain and your pretty face fusing to create a future Nobel-prize winner? Imagine how cute she would be, Spencer, we could put her hair in little braids and pigtails and we could dress her up and she could be in soccer and ballet andââÂ
âShe?â he smiles, studying your face intently. You roll your eyes.Â
âYes, she. Obviously we would have a girl. YouââÂ
The idea of Spencer as the father of your daughter hits you like a tidal wave, stopping you dead in your tracks. The images materialize in your mindâs eye so clearly, itâs like theyâre already memories, so real and tangible you have no doubt it must come to fruition someday. But if before, your ranting was mostly a silly fantasyânow itâs become a bit more intense.Â
He seems to sense your shift in mood. The big smile thaws slightly as he subtly grabs your hand on the counter.Â
âWhat? Whatâs wrong?âÂ
There he goes again. Being kind. Being perfect.Â
Tears sting your eyes, but you donât let them fall. Â
âNothing. Nothing is wrong. I just... didnât realize how badly I actually wanted that until I said it out loud.âÂ
The concern in his eyes softens to pure affection as he runs his thumb over the back of your hand.Â
âI want it too. And whenever you decide youâre ready Iâll drop everything for you.âÂ
His words are like compounding pressure to the deep heat within youâforming something so solid and perfect you donât have to wonder if itâs real. A ten on the Mohs scale, a concept that gets closer to actualizing by the minute. Â
Your voice is quiet, revelatory as you admire the amber facets in his eyes.Â
âYouâre ready?â Â
âIâve been ready for quite some time,â he admits. And at once you feel the certainty of him paint your past and your future with one broad brushstroke. One day you will look back on your life and remember the time before Spencer, and that will be it. There is before Spencer, and with Spencer, but never an after Spencer. He wants to create something utterly permanent with you. âCome here.âÂ
He sets his mug down, carefully pulling you forward so youâre toe to toe with your back to the rest of the BAU; so that only he can see you. Despite how good the two of you are at avoiding PDA, occasionally an exception is made. He tenderly wipes away the few tears that have sprung from your waterline and accepts your arms around his waist, mirroring your embrace and completely enveloping you. Â
âI love you,â he murmurs against the top of your hair, quiet enough that nobody in the office has a chance of hearing it. You sniffle.Â
âI love you too. Also you smell really good.âÂ
He chuckles, hand roaming up and down your back for a moment.Â
âAnd that is why we are holding off on this at least for a while.âÂ
âWhat do you mean?â you whisper indignantly as he gently peels you off him. His hands remain a steadying force on your waist as he smiles down at you beatifically.Â
âI mean letâs give it two weeks and see if you still want a baby when youâre not ovulating.âÂ

heat lightning
pt 1
pairing: spencer reid x fem gideon!reader
summary: you end up at the heart of the bau's latest case.
a/n: took way too long but here's more gideon reader! just as irritable as ever with some actual human emotions this time around. send help and prayers bc she's gonna need it. and before you ask there will in fact be some more parts to close up this case, i just have to write them first and it may take approximately 10 years. thank you for your consideration
wc: 4.1k
warning(s): reader still has daddy issues, still hates spence, and still argues w gideon the whole time. more angst! typical cm case stuff (a stalker that has taken vulnerable pics of reader) read w/ discretion if you are sensitive to those things. more drama and more tension and more not being a good time for anyone but me
âOn your right, pretty boy.âÂ
Spencer stops as Morgan rushes past him back to his desk, eyes trained on the hallway.Â
âWhy are you in such a hurry?â he complains. âI nearly spilled my coffee.â
âGideonâs daughter is here again,â he says. âDid you not feel the temperature drop five degrees?â
Spencer frowns. He opens his mouth to say something when he hears the telltale signs of your arrival: arguing.Â
ââso typical of you! I have to drop everything the moment you need me, but itâs like pulling teeth to get you to listen to me.â
Gideon turns the corner with you in tow. He has a duffle bag in one hand and a file in his other, his brow furrowed in frustration.Â
âThatâs because this is important,â he says.Â
âOh, and everything else I try to get you to be around for isnât?âÂ
âYou know that isnât what I meant,â Gideon says, keeping his voice level.Â
âThis is ridiculous,â you spit.Â
âItâs necessary,â he corrects. âIâm not going to play games with your safety.âÂ
âOh, yeah,â you mock. âBecause youâve always cared about that.âÂ
He just shakes his head. âIâm not debating this with you.â
âWhy? Because youâll realize that itâs ridiculous?â
You follow Gideon into his office and Spencer watches him close the blinds. The door slams shut, and though he can still hear the muffled argument he canât make anything out.
âOh, great,â Morgan says. âNow we canât even get Reid to read their lips.â
âI donât think we need it to know what theyâre talking about,â Elle says. âTheyâve been arguing since she was brought in.â
âOf course they have,â JJ says. âGideon sent Hotch to pick her up instead of doing it himself. She sees it as another slight.â
âShe sees everything as a slight,â Spencer says. âShe hates him.âÂ
âI donât blame her,â Morgan mutters. âNot when we only found out about her last month.âÂ
âSurely this isnât helping with anything,â JJ says wryly.Â
Elle shrugs. âDoesnât matter. Sometimes pointless arguing makes you feel better, even when youâre in the wrong.âÂ
âThatâs enough, agents.â Spencerâs attentionâalong with everyone elseâsâsnaps to the top of the bullpen to see Hotch holding a file with the same expression as always. âI need you all in the conference room.âÂ
âDoes it have anything to do with that?â Morgan asks, tilting his head towards Gideonâs office.Â
âYouâll find out,â he says. Hotch starts walking to the conference room, the conversation clearly over.Â
JJ sighs as she stands up and grabs the files on her desk. âIâll get Penelope. The rest of you try not to gossip too much.âÂ
She goes off, and the others disperse back to their desk to finish up some last-minute things before the case takes them away. Spencer canât tear his eyes away from Gideonâs office, even though heâs not getting anything.Â
All he can think about is the last time you were here, when he got caught in the middle of your argument with Gideonâyour dad, which was still a little weirdâand he canât help but feel guilty.Â
Gideon is a father figure to him, sure, but it isnât that difficult to end up with that dynamic when Spencerâs the youngest on the team. And he can go into everything about his father leaving and the psychology of that, but it doesnât matter. Gideon treated him like a son when he had a daughter all along that heâd been neglecting.Â
For all Spencer knows, it is his fault.Â
âReid,â Elle says, snapping him out of his thoughts, âyou coming?â
âYeah,â he says, nodding far too many times as he catches up to her in a few quick strides. âSorry.â
âNo need,â she remarks. âGideonâs kid was all anyone could talk about when she first showed up here. This is only gonna make things worse.â
âHe canât really be that bad of a dad,â Spencer says, âright?â
âAll I know is that having a parent in the force rarely ends well,â Elle murmurs. She opens the door to the conference room and looks at him. âWe canât be too hard on her when we probably see Gideon more than she does.â
Spencer recalls his meeting with you, how he barely got a word in edgewise while you spent the whole time arguing with someone half the office viewed as immovable.Â
âYeah,â he says distantly. âI donât think thatâll be a problem.â
-
âWhy? Because youâll realize that itâs ridiculous?âÂ
Your dad shuts the blinds on all the windows in his office, then closes the door behind you. He sets your duffle down on the floor then looks at you, that infuriatingly even expression still unchanged.
âItâs not ridiculous,â he says. âSit down and lower your voice, please. We have some things to talk about.âÂ
âI gathered that when you sent your guy to pick me up,â you say, crossing your arms as he walks over to his desk. âCouldnât even do it yourself?âÂ
âAaron Hotchner is the chief of this unit and one of the most accomplished agents here,â he says. âHe lives closer to you than I do, and I asked him to pick you up on his way in because I knew you would be safe with him. Sit down, please.âÂ
âThere it is again. My safety.â You remain standing. âTell me what this is about. Iâm missing work right nowâ I know you can understand that, at least.âÂ
He lets out a sigh as he says your name and looks at you. âCan we get through this without any arguments for once?âÂ
âThat depends. Are you going to treat me like your daughter or an inconvenience?âÂ
âYouâre my daughter, I love you, and your life is in danger,â he says evenly.Â
You open your mouth to retort, but your dad opens the file in his hands and sets it down on the other side of the desk. You can see from your position that theyâre photos, but your curiosity ultimately wins out. You walk over to get a closer look, and any words die in your throat as you pick up the first photo.Â
A photo of you.Â
You pick up the next one, only to see itâs another picture of you. At least ten photos are tucked away in the file, and theyâre all of you. Taken outside your work, at your apartment, on your morning runâ god, thereâs even one taken through the window of your bedroom, half-naked in a towel after a shower.Â
You fall silently into the chair, your heart hammering inside your chest as your eyes dart between all of the photos. You want to crawl out of your skin.Â
âWhat the fuck is this?â you breathe.Â
âThe heart of our newest case,â your dad says. âIt appears that you have a stalker.âÂ
âYeah,â you whisper, eyes still glued to your oblivious self, âI would fucking think so.â
âThese photos were dropped off at my door this morning,â he says, and he flips to the next section of the file, âwith that note.â
The erratic handwriting instantly stands out to you as you pick the photocopy up, the lump in your throat growing with every word you read.Â
such a pretty little thing. I wonder if she knows it.
you donât care about her, but I do. sheâs just like all the rest of us, everyone that youâve ruined.
think about your priorities, agent gideon. Iâll be watching. Â
âWhat the fuck is this?â you repeat. Blood pounds in your skull as a distant chill creeps down your spine. âIâ Iâm one of your cases now?âÂ
âWeâre not sure yet,â he admits. âThese only appeared yesterday, but from the looks of it, the unsub has been watching you for a while. Can you pinpoint when any of these photos were taken?Â
You stare at him. âSome psycho has been stalking me for a while?âÂ
Your dad says your name again, slightly strained. âPlease. I know this is difficult to think about, but figuring out a time frame would help us.âÂ
âDifficult,â you scoff. âYeah, thatâs one way to put it.âÂ
But it doesnât have the bite your words usually hold. For once, you donât think youâre mad at your dad. You think youâre terrified.Â
â...Yeah,â you finally murmur, and you pick up one of the photos. âI thrifted a mirror a month ago, and this one doesnât have it.â
Your dad nods, and he picks up two others. âNeither do these.âÂ
âSo this has been going on for at least a month,â you say bitterly. âGreat.â
Your dad says your name, quieter this time, and when you finally look at him his eyes have softened.Â
âWeâre going to figure this out,â he says. âThis is a threat against an FBI agentâs family, and it will be treated accordingly. Forensics is doing tests on all the original copies to try and find a lead. The whole BAU will be on your caseâI will be on it, and we wonât rest until we find whoeverâs doing this.âÂ
âYeah,â you say numbly. âYou sure thatâll help? Because it looks like all this is happening because Iâm your daughter.âÂ
âI know this is scary,â he says. âThis⊠this is nothing like youâve ever dealt with before. You shouldnât have to deal with it. But you have to trust my team. We know what weâre doing.âÂ
âOf course you know what youâre doing,â you say. âYouâre always here.âÂ
Your words have no bite behind them, more of an instinct as you grab your purse from the ground. You can feel the pinpricks of incoming tears, and you refuse to cry in front of your dad.Â
âIâ I need a minute,â you say. âThis is all justââÂ
âI understand,â he says. âJust donât go far. Stay on this floor.â
You nod and start towards the door, but you pause right before you reach it. Your mouth opens as you try to think of something to say, but it falls shut just as quickly. You shake your head as you reach for the door handle, but before you get the chance, it swings open and youâre met with a familiar face.Â
Spencer Reid, the kid your dad likes more than you. Heâs nothing less than surprised to see you, from his stumbled step back, the slightly wide eyes, his hand poised to knock on the door.Â
A mumbled apology falls from your lips as you move around him, and you can still feel his eyes on you as you speed off. You wonder what ideas he and the rest of the BAU have drawn up about you since your last visit to the office.Â
You donât really care.Â
True to your word, you donât go farâjust to the bathroom. Thankfully itâs close, because the moment you make it to one of the stalls, knees stinging as you fall to the tiled floor, you vomit.Â
By the time youâve expelled the contents of your stomach, it feels just as empty as the rest of you. You stare at the wall, breathing slightly harried and skin warm to the touch, and you resist the urge to punch it.Â
You have a stalker. Someone has been watching you for a monthâat least a month, maybe longerâand you had no fucking clue, and now your only decent hope lies with your dad and his team.Â
Normally, you wrote off anything depending on your dad as fruitless, but this involved the thing he loved more than anything in the world: his job.Â
You huff a wry laugh at the thought. This wouldnât get solved because it concerned you, it would get solved because it concerned his job.Â
You stand up and walk over to the sink. You rinse your mouth, then just stare at yourself in the mirror.Â
Itâ it feels strange. Looking at yourself like this, knowing someone has beenâstill isâwatching you.Â
You recall their words.Â
Pretty little thing.Â
You donât care about her, but I do.Â
A chill crawls up your spine. You canât shake the dread settling all over you.Â
What the fuck are you going to do?
You have to trust your dad, but youâve never trusted your dad. God, heâs not even really your dad. Heâs Senior Supervisory Special Agent Jason Gideon, nothing moreâthe estranged kid is an unfortunate side effect of the estranged wife.
You let out another breathy laugh. Would he even care if this psycho actually ends up killing you?Â
You stand there for another couple minutes, time idling in the background as you continue to stare at the mirror.Â
You havenât cried, at least. Thatâs certainly something.
The door opens ever so slightly and someone says your name. Your eyes flick to the mirror almost immediately as your body tenses, and you recognize her as one of the BAUâs agents. Sheâs pretty and blonde with sympathetic eyes, and you know theyâve been briefed on your situation.Â
If you have to deal with an office of pitying looks, you think you might lose your mind.Â
âAre you alright?â she asks softly.Â
âJust peachy,â you mumble. âMy dad ask you to check up on me?âÂ
She nods. âYou can imagine why Gideon is a bit high strung at the moment.âÂ
âIâm fine,â you repeat. âI just⊠needed a second.âÂ
âI understand,â she murmurs. âDo you still need some time?âÂ
âWhat do you need?âÂ
âGideon wants to talk to you. Itâs best if he explains it.âÂ
You huff a laugh and shake your head. âFine. Lead the way, AgentâŠâÂ
âJareau,â she supplies. âBut call me JJ, please.âÂ
In lieu of a response, you walk over to her. She offers a thin smile and holds the door for you, then falls into step with you. A moment of silence passes before she speaks up.Â
âWeâre going to figure this out,â JJ says. âYour dad is one of the best to walk through these doors. If anyone can solve this, he can.âÂ
âSo I keep hearing,â you murmur.Â
-
Spencer watches you hurry off with wide eyes, and it takes a few seconds for him to snap out of it. Heâs less surprised by your pace, and more surprised that you actually apologized for bumping into him.Â
âReid,â Gideon speaks up, and his attention snaps back over to his superior. âWhat do you need?âÂ
âIs she okay?â he asks instead. He canât help itâafter what Hotch just told all of them, heâs worried about you.Â
Gideon gathers the photos back into the file then stands up. âOur job is to make sure she will be.â
âHotch briefed us,â he says, and his eyes darted back to the doorway almost on instinct. âThisâ this is crazy. We just found out about her last month, and some guyâs been after her for longer?âÂ
âWhat this is is one of my enemies targeting my daughter because theyâre too much of a coward to go after me,â Gideon says evenly. âWe just have to figure out which one before they escalate.â
âHow do you know?â he asks.Â
âWhat you said is true,â he admits. âHardly anyone knows I have a daughter. Even fewer would know where she lives. Someone who wants to hurt me would have incentive to discover both.âÂ
âSo we look into unsubs youâve put away that have been released,â Spencer says. âOr ones that are still in, but have family that might be bitter.â
âExactly,â Gideon nods. âBut I have to ask something of you, Reid.â
He frowns. âAnything.â
âWeâre working on getting a safe house for my daughter,â Gideon says. âI need you to stay there with her.âÂ
Somehow, his frown deepens. âWhat?â
âI need to know sheâs with someone I can trust,â he says. âThereâs someone after her, and we donât know whoâthat means we need to keep this circle tight.â
âSo you want me to be her bodyguard?â Spencer marvels. âDo you remember that you had to waive all my physical tests?â
âLess of a bodyguard,â he says. âMore just⊠keeping her company. Making sure sheâs alrightâmentally as much as physically.â
âWhy am I the one that has to keep an eye on her?â Spencer asks. âShe hates me!âÂ
âDonât take it personally,â Gideon says. âShe hates a lot of things.âÂ
âBut it is personal,â Spencer insists. âShe hates me because she thinks you like me more than her.âÂ
Gideon doesnât seem phased at the comment. âSheâs opinionated, but sheâs harmless. And right now, I need to know that sheâs with someone I can trust.â
âIâ I still donât think itâs a good idea.â
âPlease, Reid.â Gideon leans forward, and thereâs an uncharacteristic vulnerability in his eyes. "If I'm going to be on this case, I need to know that she's safe. I won't be able to focus otherwise."
Spencer wasnât going to lieâhe genuinely thought it was a bad idea. But⊠Gideon said he trusted him. And this was his daughterâthey mightâve argued, but they still cared about each other. if he could keep Lila Archer safe, he could keep you safe.Â
ââŠOkay,â he finally concedes. âOkay.â
Gideon nods, and he watches the change in his eyes, the slightest bit of tension leaving his shoulders. âThank you.â
âJust⊠make sure there are two bedrooms,â Spencer says. âI donât need her to kill me one day in.â
At that, he cracks a rare smile. Spencer is thankful for it, that he can bring even the smallest amount of levity to Gideonâs life right now.Â
âIâll keep that in mind.â
-
âYouâve got to be kidding me.â
Your dad says your name, but you hardly let him finish.Â
âNo! First I find out I have a stalker, then my whole lifeâs going to be uprooted until you find them, and now I have to be stuck with boy genius?â
âYou know, weâre about the same ageââ
âDo you ever stop talking?â you cry, whirling on Spencer.
âI actually donât talk that much when Iâm around you,â Spencer says, his brows creasing. âThis is the third time Iâve met you, and Iâve only said nine sentences across those meetings. Thirteen, if you count all of these too.â
You let out a strained laugh as you shake your head, trying to blink back tears. âThis is fucking unbelievable. I know heâs practically your son, but this is justââ
âA safety precaution,â your dad interrupts. âDoctor Spencer Reid is another one of the BAUâs finest agents, and he is fully qualified to keep you safe.â
âHe looks like a strong breeze could snap him in half.â
âThis is not a joke,â your dad says sternly. âNone of this is a joke. Your life is in dangerâyou have a stalker that has been watching your every move for at least a month, and we have no idea what their next move will be. Doctor Reid is more experienced than you in every facet of this, and I am entrusting him to your care. I respect him immensely, and you will do so as well.â
You donât even look at Spencer, quiet rage simmering beneath the surface as you stare at your father.
âYou really donât get it,â you murmur. âDo you?â
âThe only thing to get is that your life is in increasing danger with every moment you spend pushing against me,â your dad says, and he stands up. âGet your purse. Reid, get her duffle. Weâre leaving.â
He leaves before you get the chance to do anythingâyou assume heâs finally tired of you.Â
You just shake your head and pick up your purse, and Spencer clears his throat as he reaches for your duffle bag. You wonder if it even has anything usefulâAaron Hotchner was the one who packed it.Â
ââŠSo,â Spencer says. âI guess weâre gonna be roommates for a while.â
You huff in fully unveiled annoyance, and you push past him on your way out.Â
âGreat,â he mutters to himself as he follows you. âSo this is what Gideonâs trust earns me.âÂ
It doesnât take him too long to catch up to you, despite the unnecessary quick pace youâre taking. You bypass the elevator and head towards the stairwell, and Spencer catches the door before itâs able to slam on him.Â
He says your name, but you just shake your head.Â
âIf weâre gonna be stuck together until this is over, Iâd prefer silence.âÂ
âI donât really do silence,â Spencer says.Â
âIâm sure thereâll be plenty of books for you to read in whatever jail cell they throw me in.âÂ
âItâs actually going to be a pretty nice safe house,â he starts, throwing his hand up against the wall to catch himself from running into it as he turns, because god you are moving fast, âGideon picked it out himself.âÂ
âOh, then itâll definitely be a jail cell,â you mock. âItâs not like he knows anything about me, so heâll probably think that itâs perfect.âÂ
Spencer frowns. âCut him some slack. This is all just as hard on him as it is on you.âÂ
You come to a sudden stop, whirling around to face him, and Spencer has to reel to the side to prevent himself from running into you. Had he not already been pressed up against the wall, he would have moved back further, what with the fire blazing in your eyes.Â
âIâm not going to cut him any slack,â you spit. âThis is the most time Iâve gotten to spend with my dad in months, and itâs only because some creep is stalking me to get back at him. The only reason Iâm in this at all is because of his job that he cares about more than me, and now heâs sticking me with the guy that he wishes was his kid. So no, Doctor ReidâIâm not going to cut him any slack.âÂ
Youâre already off on your way again before Spencer even has time to blink, and youâve made it down the whole last flight by the time he pushes himself back up.Â
He takes the steps three at a time to catch up to you, and he once again barely manages to catch the door before it slams on him. He calls your name, finally managing to fall into step with you right before you reach Gideon. He, like a normal person, deigned to take the elevator.Â
âYou havenât started arguing already,â he says, passing a glance at Spencer, âhave you?âÂ
âWhat do you think?â you ask, your arms crossed.Â
âI think youâre giving him a hard time that you usually reserve for me,â he says. âCut him some slack.âÂ
Your jaw clenches. âIâve been getting a lot of that lately. Save the profiling for my stalker, will you?â Â
âThereâs plenty of profiling to go around,â Gideon says. âYou two wait hereâI need to confirm the safe house location before we head out.âÂ
âCan we stop by my place before we go?â Spencer asks. âI need to pick up some things.âÂ
âYou have a go bag, donât you?âÂ
âYeah, but Iâ I wasnât exactly prepared for this sort of thing when I came in today.âÂ
âYouâll be fine,â Gideon says. He walks off before Spencer can protest, and he sighs.Â
You lean against the wall, your arms crossed with your purse hanging off your shoulder, and for once you donât pass judgment on hisâadmittedly smallâplight.Â
âI changed my mind,â Spencer speaks up, deciding to try and break the remarkably high amount of tension that had built up in such a short time, and your eyebrows rise as you glance at him.Â
âAbout what?âÂ
âIâ I think I can do silence,â he says. âTemporarily.âÂ
You huff a laugh. âReally?âÂ
âI donât really want to annoy you while weâre stuck together in an undisclosed location,â he says. âI donât know what youâre capable of.âÂ
And for the first time since Spencer has met you, you actually smile. Itâs the smallest thing, just a slight tilt of your lips thatâs more akin to Hotchâs moments of levity than anything, but itâs a smile.Â
â...Good choice,â you say. It feels like a joke, but Spencer isnât sure.Â
He smiles anyway. You meet his eyes, and for a moment, youâre just another girl. Someone that Spencer could imagine himself stealing glances at in a lecture hall, a regular at his favorite coffee shop that he falls for over the course of an especially cold winter, someone he meets on a night out with the team that he ends up talking to all night.Â
You really do have pretty eyes.Â
And then your gaze hardens, darts away from him, and Spencer sees Gideon coming back in his peripherals. The moment fractures.Â
Youâre not just a girl. Youâre Gideonâs daughter, youâre in a remarkable amount of danger, and lest he forget, you do in fact hate him.Â
Spencer lets out another short sigh.Â
At least this safe house wonât have a pool.

hii! itâs been a while <3 anyways hereâs a request from a friend.
Outline: Gojo doesnât want to be your friend anymore and tells you straight to your face. Unfortunately, you take it the wrong way.
Content Warnings: fluff kinda?, angst ish???, miscommunication trope đ idk not many tags or warnings for this one. lmk if i missed anything
Featuring: Gojo Satoru, fem!reader
A/N: i was supposed to finish this WAYYYYYY sooner đ my bad⊠word count: 1815
ââââââââââââââââââââââââ
Gojo Satoru. An enigma for sure.
You both have been best friends for longer than you remember. Well, maybe best friends is the wrong term. You said you were best friends, but it didnât feel that way. At least not to you.
Every time you saw Gojo, your heart would flutter. Perhaps it was normal, you didnât know. All you knew was that you had some kind of feelings for him.
You just wished he felt the same.
âWhatâs wrong?â Gojo had noticed youâd been acting different recently. He puts a hand on your shoulder. âYouâre being weird.â
You shrug at him, trying to act normal. Even though youâve always felt this way about him, youâve only just now stopped bothering to hide it.
âI donât know.â Your eyes flit to the ground. âJust tired, I guess.â
And Gojo, being the nice guy that he is, pulls you into a hug. It shouldnât make you feel this way, like thereâs butterflies in your stomach. But it does.
Youâre conflicted between wanting to cry and wanting to hug him until you two became one.
âYou should get some rest.â He suggests, pulling away and flashing you one of his cheery grins.
âIâll try my best.â You smile back, though itâs not very passionate.
Gojo pats your head. Thereâs a pitiful look on his face. âAre you still down for lunch tomorrow?â He asks. Always so considerate, yet heâs never realized how you feel about him.
âYeah, sure.â You try to up the dosage of your weary smile. âYou still working on that surprise?â You ask. Gojoâs been planning this for weeks, teasing you about his âlunch date surprise.â
He grins cheekily. ââCourse I am.â His slender fingers fidget with his sleeves. âWhat kind of friend would I be to go back on my word?â
Friend.
The word taunts you like a bully, but you push the thought away. Itâs all youâll ever be, anyways. Friends.
You chuckle when you snap back to reality. âA pretty shitty one, Iâd say.â
âLanguage, young lady.â He teases. You open your mouth to say something, but his phone rings.
âSorry, I gotta go.â He gives you an apologetic look. âIâll see you tomorrow, yeah? Be prepared!â He looks giddy.
âYep.â You reply tightly. âBye, âToru.â You wave as he walks away.
âDo I buy her flowers or something?â Gojo says to Suguru over the phone.
âYouâve been thinking about this for weeks. Why has it only occured to you now to get her flowers?â Suguru replies, and Gojo can practically hear him rolling his eyes.
âWell I donât normally confess to my best friend-â Geto tuts before he can continue.
Gojo sighs. âOkay, girl best friend. Better?â He asks.
âNo, but continue anyways.â Thereâs an awkward pause on Gojoâs part.
âIâm nervous.â Gojo finally admits. âIâm like, really nervous.â
Suguru chuckles. âGojo Satoru, the strongest Sorcerer there is, is nervous to confess to a girl.â He says, his laugh getting louder. âYou canât be serious.â
âOh shut up, would you?â And Geto only laughs harder, his chuckle turning into full blown howling.
âFuck off!â And with that, the call clicks off. Gojo sighs, shoving his phone in his pocket and falling back onto his bed.
âIâm screwed.â
You sit at the cafe Gojo had invited you too weeks prior, sighing as you stare at the clock.
âWhere is he..?â You mutter to yourself.
Suddenly, as if on cue, he strides in as giddy as ever, looking around for a minute before spotting you and grinning.
âThere you are!â He says as he sits down at the table with you. Heâs sweating slightly, like heâs anxious.
You smile back at him, and immediately it feels like thereâs a thorny rose in your belly, poking you from the inside. âHey âToru.â
He beams at you. âDid I keep you waiting long?â He asks, giving you an apologetic look for being a few minutes late.
You shake your head. âItâs alright. Now would you please tell me what your little surprise is?â
âWell I canât give it away so easily!â He pouts playfully. âYou havenât even ordered.â He notes the empty table.
You sigh, before flagging down a waitress. âCan I please get two iced coffees?â
The waiter notes down your order and runs off, leaving you to stare at Satoru expectantly. âYes I have.â
He tuts, rolling his eyes. âWeâll get to the surprise later. For now, tell me how your day is going.â
So you do. You two talk for a few minutes, and you practically forget about the surprise, until he reminds you.
âAlright, Iâll tell you your surprise now.â He says after the waitress leaves with Gojoâs order of a tiramisu cake and two spoons.
You perk up, curious to find out what heâs been alluding to for so long.
He takes a deep breath. âI donât think we should be friends anymore.â
You can almost hear the sound of your heart crunching as he steps on it with his words.
âWhat?â You squeak, tears forming in your eyes.
Gojo stares at you, confused. âDidnât you hear me?â
You swallow thickly, feeling bile rise in your throat. âBut⊠why?â You feel your tears rolling down your cheeks.
Gojo is alarmed, staring at your crying face. âWhy are you crying? Do you⊠not feel the same?â
You shake your head feverishly, about to open your mouth, but the waitress places down your cake before you can speak.
Gojo looks down at the cake and then back up at you, his expression dimming.
âSo you want to be friends?â He asks, sounding heartbroken himself.
You nod, confused. âI thought you did too!â Your chest swells with hurt.
Gojo seems completely distraught. He tries to speak, but nothing comes out. ââŠNo.â He finally says, looking down at the ground.
You stand up from the table with your purse, placing down a few bills before sniffling, trying to wipe your eyes. âIâm going home.â You mumble, turning to leave.
Gojo just stares at you walk away, feeling his spirit burn. âOh.â He whispers, looking down at the cake on the table.
You hop in your car, tears streaming down your face rapidly as you grip the steering wheel tightly. Your head collapses against the wheel and your body convulses as you sob, shaking like crazy.
You knew Gojo would never feel the same way about you as you did with him, but you thought youâd at least always be friends.
You whimper as you curl up into a ball in the driver's seat, too upset to drive.
Meanwhile, Gojo is inside the cafe, eating the cake silently while he stares at the second spoon.
Heâs so confused. He had a sneaking suspicion that youâd reject his love for you, but he didnât expect you to do it so heartlessly. You cried, for godâs sake! He hadnât predicted for you to be so opposed to the idea of being more than friends with him.
He feels his heart clench when he remembers your face after he confessed. He sighs, finishing his desert before leaving the cafe defeatedly, his hands in his pockets as he walks home.
The second he opens his door, he collapses against it, sliding to his knees and curling into a ball. He thinks for a moment, before calling up Suguru.
âHave you done it yet? What did she say?â Is the first thing that comes out of Getoâs mouth when he picks up. The reminder of the whole debacle just makes Gojo even more sorrowful than he already was.
âShe rejected me.â Gojo says solemnly. The air falls silent for a few moments.
Geto is the first to break the silence. âWhat did you say?â He finally asks.
Gojo sighs. âI said I didnât want to be friends anymore.â He replies.
A beat of silence passes.
âAnd?â Geto urges.
Gojo, confused, replies. âAnd what?â
âAnd then what did you say?â He asks.
Still extremely confused, Gojo pauses. ââŠNothing.â He says, a hint of uncertainty in his answer.
Geto, with a loud sigh, rolls his eyes. âAre you dumb?â He asks.
âHuh? Whatâd I do?!â Gojo frowns.
âYou goddamn idiot, she probably thought you meant you didnât want to be friends at all!â Suguru slaps his forehead, which is heard from Gojoâs end of the line.
âBecause I donât!â Gojo protests, now even more confused.
Suguru heaves with annoyance. âShe thought you didnât like her anymore, dumbass.â
Another beat of silence.
A wave of realization hits Gojo. âOh, fuck.â Is all he says before hanging up and hopping to his feet, running out the door to go find you.
Luckily, on his run to your house, Satoru sees your car still parked outside of the cafe. Panting like a madman, he walks up to it and knocks on your passenger door window, startling you back into your surroundings.
Your eyes widen when you see Satoru awkwardly waving at you through your window. Your eyes are puffy and red from crying, which he notices.
He taps your window, as if to say âopen up!â
You sniffle as you roll it down, rubbing your eyes.
âHey, I think you misinterpreted what I said back there.â He gestures to the cafe, his sentence broken up by loud, heavy breaths.
âWhy are you so tired?â You ask in return.
âI ran here.â He replies, giving you a lazy grin before he continues with his explanation.
âWhen I said I didnât want to be friends anymore, I meant because I want to be more than friends.â He begins, poking his head through your open window to get a little closer to you.
âI really, really like you.â He confesses, a light blush tinting his cheeks. âAnd I donât want to be friends. I want to be your boyfriend.â
You stare at him for a few seconds, before letting out a breathy laugh. âOf course you screwed up like that.â You mutter, pinching the bridge of your nose as you smile.
He ignored your little jab. âSo? What do you say?â He asks. âPlease donât reject me, I ran all the way here.â He begs.
You laugh again, rubbing your red eyes and unlocking your car door. âI donât want to be friends either, Satoru.â
His eyes light up at your statement and he immediately throws the door open, fitting himself into the passenger seat before he turns to face you.
âReally, you mean it?â He asks excitedly, looking at you with hopeful eyes. âYou donât?â
You smile. âNot at all.â
And with your confirmation, he grabs your face and pulls you in for a kiss, gently wiping your past tears as he does so.
He pulls back for a second to grin at you. âThank god, because I was not ready to run all the way back home.â He jokes before going back to kissing you.
