I know this has been argued to death in other reblog chains but believe the intended takeaway by the person on twitter (actual though not mechanical op) is that the people having the wedding have not invested in being part of this community because they think they're above the rest of them, but expect to be able to reap the benefits of community on demand.
After all, putting a note in people's letterboxes instead of approaching them could be considered chillingly impersonal and even peremptory.
'Very quiet' from '2PM on' is a big ask! That's a lot of hours! You don't need several hours for the hushed ceremonial bit, asking for the whole day is wanting the convenience of a backyard wedding without the inconvenience of other people living in your neighborhood.
If the note didn't acknowledge that they were asking for something fairly onerous, a favor rather than anything they were at all entitled to, then yeah it was pretty offensive. If you already disliked the asker, spite would be a reasonable reactive sentiment.
