This is one of my favorite panels in the entire webcomic and hkhkgkbkbjfkbkn project No. 9 did so well with this anime adaptation and especially the animation I canttttttt

Anyway, If you like anime go and watch Senpai wa Otokonoko and if you like webcomics, even better, go and read the original webcomic, it's a daily pass on webtoon. I can talk about this series for hours. It's soooo important.

In your original post about Mongie finding success outside of WT, you mentioned something about Snailords in the tags? I haven't seen any criticism of them beyond just not being able to maintain interest in their own stories. Am I missing something?

Oh there's a looooot about Snailords. Most of the stuff that comes up tends to be over in /r/webtoons. The most recent controversy was regarding an alt account they had specifically to complain/talk shit/rant and they were caught talking shit about one negative comment (out of a sea of many positive ones) that wasn't even mean-spirited but he proceeded to spend several posts in his IG stories talking shit about it. He's also been known to treat his fans poorly for "not supporting him enough" and apparently he even tried to outright scam his audience out of money through fake sympathy. That's not even getting into how he treated his fans of Freaking Romance by going off about how he hated the romance genre and made FR purely for the clout and he basically ruined his own series out of spite over a decision he made.

The biggest ick with him is just that he's cultivated an audience of very young people and children who pretty much worship the ground he walks on (literally calling him 'milord' 🤢) and he completely revels in it and takes advantage of it rather than being, y'know, a rational human being. Having fans who are younger isn't a big deal in and of itself, but he clearly likes to surround himself with people who just don't know any better and don't know how to recognize manipulative behavior. He's fully immersed himself in the self-worship especially through his self-insert character and it's uh... it's a lot. I've never even really been into his work tbh, I remember back when he was still on Tapas writing Snailed It and Nightmare Factory and he never seemed to be that shitty (though tbf he wasn't as big back then either), but he definitely became pretty obnoxious in his WT years.

Hey! I'm SOOO behind on unOrdinary, but I came across your post about just sending asks. The series is SO well done, and the characters all tug on my heart in different ways 💖💖💖

it literally is so well done 🔥🔥🔥 I've been reading it since 2017 and aside from a few arcs (*cough*joker*cough*), it's been a massively steady and entertaining thing to look forward to every week. I really have to appreciate uruchan's storytelling abilities! Even from the earliest chapters, you could see her setting down the bread crumbs about Ember, the officials, Vaughn and Keene, etc. Now that we're finally delving into the world outside Wellston as the students fight it, her writing shines even more!

I love the new characters she's introduced like Kuyo and Kassandra (my fave adults) and it makes me so happy to see the Wellston royals actually getting along 😭 cuz I don't know about y'all, but if John smashed my face into the concrete and broke my arm and generally effed me up, I would NOT be forgiving him. You could argue some of them deserved it, but regardless, having them all unified as this passionate team who want change while still having their individual goals has been exciting to watch come together. Love this series so much :')

it's a wlw comedy where the mc first thinks a girl is competing against her to win the coolest boy over but she's actually into the mc

(and then the "coolest boy" is a long chinned mf who is totally a human)

it also has amazing side characters and it's the funniest thing i've every read ngl
