Long story short on the video, it's just a breakdown about mummies in history as it correlates to the history of its media as well. It's still a good and informative break down (Definitely check it out and support the channel), but as it got to the point of breaking down the tropes seen in movies about mummies and how many of them were seen in previous novelizations, I got to thinking about a story idea of my own.
It kinda revolves around the whole distinction between mummies that are powerful sorcerers that get the benefit of looking like a human and less powerful mummies that are forced to shamble around and be stuck in their bandages. It also dips into the "The mummy is looking to brink back their dead lover who just so happens to be reincarnated." trope as well as "bandage mummies only exist as servants/violent body guards".
So it takes place in the height of England's Egypt Craze where tomb "Unboxing" was still a thing and some British f*cks as well as their ✨gorgeous female assistant✨start poking around in a tomb. It's a lesser known tomb and everyone makes it clear that this was dedicated to some high ranking guard that made a noble sacrifice or something so they decided to make the guy's funeral a little more special. The British guys write it off and go see if there's a bigger tomb to plunder investigate (I feel like I should also mention one of these guys is supposed to be the female's betrothed love interest that immediately gets ntr'ed once the actual green flag walks, or should I say shambles, into the picture.)
Female Assistant sticks around to explore the first chamber more deeply and shenanigans happen. She reads some passages on the wall that has foreshadowing bits into it, maybe translates a scroll or two by candle light because she can't sleep due to the ✨visions✨ or some shit, and ends up accidentally resurrecting the noble guard from earlier. It's initially the lower tier type of mummy, the type that's somewhat mindless and still wrapped in bandages. Shit goes down, maybe it tries to kill the other tomb raiders explorers but it doesn't pan out (personally, I see it as a loony-toons type moment with the Mummy trying to kill them, the Assistant foiling every attempt, and the British guys none-the-wiser) Eventually it's discovered that the mummy seems to recognize the Assistant as someone he once knew and now only obeys her commands.
The Assistant uses that to her advantage and manages to drag it/him back to their lodgings. I have nothing specific for this part, other than that the next third and over of the movie (I see this as a movie. Or a webcomic if you wanna torture yourself.) is just Tarzan and Jane antics where they fall in love with each other. It's also happening alongside a side plot where the mummy is slowly gaining memories/intelligence/the ability to speak as it/he slowly sheds his bandages in the process. (I don't picture him losing all of the bandages. I still like a little bit of monster left to f*ck with. And yes, it's handsome.) Basically he slowly starts reverting back to the noble guard he once was as he remembers why he sacrificed himself in the first place and why the Female Assistant looks so familiar to him.
The last third cuts back to the British guys and them getting to meet the monkey's paw consequence of their hubris. They do the same thing that the Assistant did, only they end up resurrecting an ancient and powerful sorcerer that was sealed away for humanity's greater good. Maybe they strike a deal with the guy, maybe they run like the little b*tches that they are, who knows. Anyway, the mummy guard's spider sense pings and he realizes who ended up getting reawakened. Come to find out, the sorcerer also thinks the Female Assistant looks pretty familiar and does some wibbly-wobbly magic to confirm that, yes, she is some reincarnation of a long dead princess(/competing sorcerer maybe? It would be a nice double twist if you're into that sh*t)
Big fight ensues, the good guys win, and the Female assistant rides off into the sunset on an Excelsior Model 19 with the Mummy boyfriend.
The End.

Golden Guard x Reader- True Colours
A/N: I wanted to get back into the swing of things before redoing the requests. There may or may not be a few Amphibia references in here…since i watched it quite recently... Spoilers for Hunting Palisman. Also anyone get the reference of the title?
Being in the Emperor’s Coven wasn’t easy. From battling monsters and demons to rogue witches and a certain human, I was surprised I was still alive. A regular guard was just a pawn for the Emperor. Yet, I had no choice, since my parents had already planned my future while I was still young. I wanted to make them proud, and I really did try. But it seems like being a normal guard in the Emperor’s Coven wasn’t enough. I needed to go bigger, eliminate anyone in my way if I had to. I was going to do it for them, and for my lost Palisman, Froggit. (IT WAS THE ONLY THING THAT CAME TO MIND-) Standing at attention, I watched all the servants and guards walk by. I was assigned outside the Throne room today. Kikimori happened to be walking by as the door opened. She gasped. “Golden Guard?! You’re alive! I heard about the crash-“ The “Golden Guard” came into view. He greeted Kiki, and I had the time to observe him. He was about my age, with blonde hair, red eyes, and a scar on his right cheek. As he walked away from Kikimori, he looked my way. I hadn’t realised I had turned to face them. Quickly standing to attention, I stiffened as he stopped in front of me. “Sir.” I saluted. He raised an eye-brow, looking at my badge. (Ima just pretend the badges have names engraved into them in small lettering or something). “Haven’t seen you around here much. When did you join the Emperor’s Coven?” He asked casually. I glared through my mask. “Two weeks ago, sir.” I replied, trying my best to keep my voice calm. He smiled. “Well, miss ‘Y/N’, it’s nice to meet you. The names Hunter.” I didn’t reply back. After a few minutes of silence, he sighs. “Welp, I better be going. See you around.” As he walked away, I let my shoulders relax a bit. Glaring after him, I watched him disappear. So, a higher rank, right? Well, we’ll see about that. Don’t try to chit-chat me, Hunter. You’re nothing but a rival. Later that evening… I let out a yawn. It was late, and I was the only guard patrolling this side of the castle. Lifting my mask to rub my tired eyes, I heard a loud bang, followed by yelp of pain. “Palisman!” Someone hissed. Pulling my mask back down, I held my staff out. “COME OUT! I KNOW YOU’RE THERE!” I yelled out. There was nothing but silence. Turning a corner, I caught someone running away, carrying something. “Hey!” I gave chase, following the intruder down the corridors. As I ran, I realised they seemed to know exactly where they were going. Running by halls that lead to dead ends, and avoiding doors that entered into closed off rooms. Using my staff, I sped up, running in front of the witch. He came to a stop, almost tripping. Holding out my staff, I was about to zap him, when I realised it was Hunter. A small, red bird Palisman sat on his shoulder. I smirked under my mask. Hiding a Palisman? One that has wild magic? This was treason. Oh, Emperor Belos is going to love this. “You stay here.” I stated, using a spell to keep him in place. As he struggled, I began to walk off. If he’d been keeping a wild Palisman, who knew what he could do with it. Best to retrieve back-up, and quickly. As I turned my back, he yelled out to me. “Wait! Don’t tell Belos!” Ignoring him, I continued. “I know what he does to them! He kills them!” Stopping, I turned back to the Golden Guard. “What do you mean by that?” I questioned cautiously. Hunter closed his eyes, letting out a sigh. “Emperor Belos isn’t a witch. I don’t know what he is, or what happened to him. All I know is that he uses the magic in the Palismans to keep himself powerful and in a stable condition.” My mind went to Froggit, my Palisman before I joined the Coven. He went missing as soon as I joined…he couldn’t have… “Y-you’re lying, aren’t you?” I growled. The Palisman sitting on his shoulder chirped. After a moment of silence, I released the Golden guard. Turnng my back to him once again, I growled under my breath. “Get out of here before I change my mind.” Hunter didn’t need to be asked twice. Making sure the Palisman wasn’t hurt, he left, returning to his dorm. About an hour later, another guard took over my shift. Rushing back to my dorm, I leaned against the door. It couldn’t be true. Emperor Belos would never hurt my Palisman, would he? I let out a shaky breath. He couldn’t have…right? Finishing up my carving, I stared lovingly at the Frog as I held it up to the sunlight. “And done! Welcome to the world little buddy!” I whispered, blowing the flakes away. Smiling widely, I placed the wooden frog on my bedside table. All I had to do now was wait. He should wake up in a few minutes. Leaning back on my bed, I picked up my book, looking at all the human creatures inside. I loved looking at all the pictures, and even chose one as my Palisman. There were so many amazing creatures, for awhile I couldn’t pick. I had finally settled for a “frog”, since they sounded so amazing. Hearing a croak, I looked up from my book. My new Palisman had woken up, and was crawling around and curiously peering at the objects on my bed stand. “Hey there little guy.” I cooed, picking him up. He let out another croak. “Welcome to the Boiling Isles! You’re so cute!” He tilted his head curiously in my direction, letting out another excited croak. Giggling, I gently pet him. “I’ll keep you safe Froggit. I won’t let anything bad happen to you.” I jolted awake, rubbing my teary eyes as I sat up. Silent sobs threatened to erupt from my throat. Taking a few minutes to calm myself, I inhaled slowly. This wasn’t a coincidence, wasn’t it? Froggit was gone, and I had failed to protect him. He had probably died a horrible death, scared and all alone. Checking the window, I noticed the sun was rising. I had to get ready for today. As I stood up, I felt my stomach squirm in guilt. Looking around my room, i grabbed a satchel, collecting things and preparing. I had to get out of here. I was NOT going to work with a Coven that murdered my Palisman, no matter what my parents say. I would have failed them, but nothing was worse than knowing I had failed my Palisman, my only friend. A loud knock came from the door. Looking up, I stared hard at the door. Who could that be? I’m not late for something, am I? The knocking came again. Walking over, I opened the door to find Kikimori there. She seemed to be glaring daggers into my soul, even though she was way shorter than me. “The Emperor wants to speak with you immediately.” She stated, walking away. Why does the Emperor want to see me? I took off my mask as I stood in front of the throne room. My knees shook thinking over the things the Golden Guard had said the night previously. The Emperor wasn’t who I thought he was, and that thought alone terrified me. Clutching my mask, I opened the doors. Mutterings were coming from the other side of the room as I entered. Walking along the corridor, I took note that a few guards, as well as the Golden Guard and Emperor Belos were in the room. Belos was talking to the Golden Guard, but stopped when I entered. I bowed down to the Emperor, as I felt his eyes bare into my soul. “You must be Y/N L/N, right? Hunter has told me so much about you.” He stated. I bowed my head, keeping an eye on Hunter. He seemed to be distracted, since he didn’t seem to be paying attention to us. “He’s told me of all your hard work so far, and that you’re trust worthy. So, I have made up my mind.” He stood up, grabbing onto his staff. What was he doing? “You’ve been moved up to Captain of the guards, since ours has…retired. How does that sound?” Shocked, I glanced up to Hunter. His eyes were averted, refusing to look at me. “I-it’s an honour, my lord…” I stuttered. “B-but, I-i’m just a humble guard, there’s no need to put me as Captain so soon-“ I was cut off as something headed my way, barely missing me by a hair. I stiffened, following the pointed object toward the Emperor. It was….his…arm…. He took the object away. “I'm afraid you don’t have a choice in this matter. Your first mission starts tonight. You’ll be accompanied by Hunter. You’ll be given your badge in the morning.” He waves his hand, signifying I could leave. I nodded. “Y-yes, my Lord.” With that, I placed my helmet back on, walking briskly out of the room. Opening the door, I jumped a little when Kikimori was waiting on the other side. She said nothing, just simply glared at me then left. After watching her disappear around the corner, I let out an angry sigh. What was I gonna do? Later that night…. The Golden Guard was standing beside me, steering the ship we flew in. There was an awkward silence for the first 10 minutes of the flight, with both of us avoiding eye contact. Apparently, we were meant to be looking for Palismans. “So…everything you said the other night was true.” I mumbled. The Golden guard hummed in response. “Unfortunately, yes.” Another silence ensured. “I wasn’t expecting him to make you Captain. I just wanted to help you out a bit, since you helped me. I’m sorry if it wasn’t what you wanted…” I let out a sigh. “It’s fine." That’s when he turned to me. His eyes were filled with sympathy. “I’m also sorry about your Palisman…” I whipped around to face him. “How-“ “It’s not hard. Everyone has a Palisman when they first arrive. They disappear after the first week, and given a “new and improved” staff. It’s becoming more common. Only a few are allowed to keep their Palismans.” He stated, his brows furrowing as his gaze returned to the horizon. “You seem to know a fair bit.” I said. He shrugged. “One of the few perks of being the Emperor’s right-hand man.” I nodded understandingly. Being right-hand man couldn’t have been easy. There would’ve been many people trying to back-stab him. I WAS one of them.
“…what was it like? Your Palisman?” He asked curiously. I smiled under my mask. “He was my best friend. A lot of people questioned why I chose a monster from the human realm, but it didn’t matter. I loved him almost like my own child…” I felt the tears threatening to overflow once again. Hunter smiled. “He sounded nice.” I looked over to him curiously. “You say that as if you’ve never had a Palisman.” His eyes widened, before he turned his face away from me. “…this Palisman is actually my first. I didn’t do well in school, so I never achieved my staff.” Was all he replied. Great. Now I felt bad. “I’m sorry…" He chuckled. “It’s alright. There wasn’t a chance you could’ve known.” Letting out a sigh, I took my mask off. What was the point of hiding my face while meeting a new friend? Letting my hair fall down, I hear Hunter let out a small gasp. I raise an eyebrow, turning my gaze to him. His eyes were wide open, staring at me. “What are you looking at?” “You…you’re beautiful…” My own eyes widened, and I felt my cheeks heat up. Hunter realised that he said it out loud, and his own face lit up. “I-i’m so sorry! I-“ “Just be quiet.” I growled, turning away so then Hunter wouldn’t see me. The ship shook, and I felt it begin to fall rapidly toward the ground. I watched in terror as the ground came closer, and I blacked out as we hit the ground. “Hey! Y/n, wake up!” Someone hissed quietly.
I let out a groan as I opened my tired eyes. Hunter was gently shaking me, looking around frantically at his surroundings. “W-what happened?” I grumbled, sitting up. Hunter clasped a hand over my mouth. I was about to object, when he pointed to a certain short monster on the other side of the rocks. It was Kikimori, and she did not look happy. She seemed to be carrying a stone. I recognised it from history books. They made the possessor stronger. “I KNOW YOU’RE HERE GOLDEN GUARD! AND I KNOW WHAT YOU DID THE OTHER NIGHT!” She shrieked. My brows furrowed, looking toward Hunter. “What is she talking about?” I hissed. He reached for his broken staff. I hadn’t noticed that before. “I’ll explain later. Right now, we need to get out of here.” He whispered back. Without warning, he grabbed my hand, leading me away from the angry monster. Once we were far enough away, I pulled my hand free from his. “What the hex was that about?!” I yelled. Hunter let out a sigh. “Look, the other night I was assigned to collect Palismans. I told my Uncle that I had failed, but the real reason was that I let them go. Kiki and the human Luz was involved and…things just got out of hand.” He was looking down at his feet. “If I told him what had really happened, then he would kill both of us…” I listened carefully. When he was finished, I smiled softly. ‘Hey…you did the right thing.” I said, placing a hand on his shoulder. Surprised for a moment, Hunter smiled. “So, what are we gonna do? We can’t tell your Uncle we failed to retrieve them again. He’d find out for sure.” I said. Hunter thought for a moment, before a smirk crossed his features. “Not unless we disappeared.” I stared blankly at him for a moment. What did he mean by that? “What do you mean?” “Alright, this is the plan.” Waiting outside the castle, I tapped my foot impatiently. Hunter had gone into the castle to retrieve his Palisman, leaving me outside to wait. It had been 10 minutes already. Shouldn’t he be back by now? Something must’ve happened. Letting out a growl, I clutched my staff, heading inside. Once inside, I passed a few of the guards. None tried stopping me, just giving a nod as I passed by. They took note of my badge it seemed. As I walked pass the throne room, I halted when I heard a cry of pain come from within. “NO, PLEASE! DON’T HURT HIM!” That was Hunter. Rushing over, I swung the doors open. There was Hunter, being held by two guards. Kikimori held his Palisman, about to hand it over to Emperor Belos. Everyone stopped what they were doing when I entered, turning to face me. Emperor Belos was the only one to recognise me. “Ah, Y/n! A nice surprise! No need for any assistance. You see, Hunter here has been keeping secrets from us.” He stated gesturing to Hunter. “But Kikimori has saved us by warning us of his treason. He’ll be thrown into the dungeon shortly, and this…Palisman will be dealt with.” At that, Kikimori was about to hand the Palisman to the Emperor. Rage filled me, and before I realised what I was doing, I had sent a spell their way. The Palisman was thrown from Kikimori’s hands, falling to the ground out of reach. Everyone let out a gasp. Tears overflowed from my eyes as rage coursed through me. “No one else’s Palisman’s are getting hurt under my watch.” I growled. Belos straightened his posture. “I see. You’re a traitor to our kind. Guards, get her!” He yelled. The guards holding Hunter let him go, charging toward me. Using my staff, I quickly defeated them, swinging my staff against their skulls. Both fell unconscious. Without thinking, I charged Belos. He killed my Palisman. Before my staff made contact with him, he used his own magic to throw me against the wall. Yelping in pain, I stumbled to my feet. My vision was still blurry from the impact, hence why I didn’t see Belos walking towards me. I was pushed back against the wall. Something was piercing into my neck, and I realised it was the Emperor’s staff. “You’ll have the same fate as your Palisman.” He hissed. Choking for air, my vision was getting darker and darker as I stared murderously into Belos’ eyes. I finally felt myself drop to the ground, the Emperor letting out a groan of pain as he was attacked from the side. Strong hands lifted me up, helping me limp away from the scene. Hunter got his Palisman ready, ordering me to get on. Doing so, I left my staff lying on the ground, clutching his waist tightly as we escaped the castle. I buried my face in Hunters shoulder as we flew over the Boiling Isles. Neither of us had spoken for a while, and honestly I was too shocked. Finally, Hunter spoke up. “Thank you for that. That was very courageous of you to stand up to him. Are you ok?” “Y-yeah, I’m ok…where are we going? Do you have a place in mind?” I asked, looking down at our surroundings. We were near Bones Marrow (was that what it was called?), and I curious if he had a destination. Hunter smiles at my question. “I have a friend nearby. We’ll seek shelter there if she’ll allow it.” With that, he neared the forest floor, landing quietly in the bushes. I looked up at the building in front of us. I knew this place, although I’d never been to it myself. This was the Owl House, home of one of the most powerful witches on the Isle, Eda the Owl lady. Well, WAS the most powerful. Hunter walked up the doorstep, and was about to knock when a large owl tube on the door spoke up, startling both of us. “OOH VISITORS! FROM THE EMPEROR COVEN TOO! HAVE YOU COME HERE TO BE MY FRIEND?!” The door opened, revealing Luz the human. Her smile lit up when she realised it was Hunter. “Hunter! Hi! What are you doing here? And who’s your friend? You aren’t…here to arrest me, are you?” She asked suspiciously, closing the door ajar as she squinted her eyes. I almost laughed at how childish she was. “No, sorry to disappoint. Me and my friend were going to ask if we could stay for awhile? We…kinda left the coven.” Hunter said, gesturing to himself and I. I gave a little wave. Luz’s eyes widened in surprise, her smile returning. “Of course! Come in! We have…room for two more!” Opening the door, she let us inside. Hunter stepped in first, but was stopped by an ice wall. He let out a yelp of surprise, and Luz was yelling at someone. “Lillith! Be nice!” Lillith? Where have I heard that name? It clicked when I caught sight of her. There, in what I assumed to be human clothes, stood Lillith, my role model ever since I was a small witchling. I almost jumped up and down in excitement, if it wasn’t for the shock of the ice bars between us. “Human! This is the Golden Guard! We can’t let him in here! What if it’s a trick?!” Lillith shrieked. Luz tried to calm her down, explaining that he’d changed. Another woman stepped into the room, followed by a small demon with a skull on his head. “Alright, what’s going on here?” She muttered. Luz sighed in relief. “Oh thank god you’re here, Eda. My friends need a place to stay, and-“ Eda? Lillith cut her off. “HE’S THE GOLDEN GUARD! It could be a trap!” She screamed, gesturing to the two of us. Hunter didn’t say anything, just let out a nervous chuckle. Eda only stared at us tiredly. “…..if it’s a trap we won’t hesitate to knock em’ out cold. Just let em in.” She grumbled, sitting on the couch as she drank something from out of a cup. Lillith stuttered indignantly, while Luz used what I assumed a random piece of paper to create fire. Melting the bars, she let the two of us inside.
A few minutes later, Hunter and I were sitting beside each other on two chairs, while Lillith, Luz, and Eda were sitting on the couch. He had just finished explaining what had happened with Emperor Belos mere hours before. Lillith had her arms crossed, staring at us suspiciously, while Eda was peacefully sipping at her apple-blood. Luz was holding the little demon, who I found out was named King. Luz spoke up first. “So…now you’re wanted criminals?” She asked, concerned. Hunter pat his Palisman. “It would appear so.” He muttered. Lillith didn’t say anything, but it was obvious from her body language she didn’t trust us. Eda the owl lady smiled comfortingly. “Well, I guess an enemy to Belos is a friend of mine. Welcome to the Owl House kids.” She chuckled. “Thank you.” I replied. Luz pointed accusingly at me. “AHA! YOU DO SPEAK!” She yelled. I chuckled. “So what’s your name, kid?” Eda asked. “I’m Y/n. Nice to meet you all. Especially you Lillith!” She turned to me, raising a brow. “Why’s that, witchling?” “You’ve always been a role-model for me! I feel so honoured meeting you in person!” I said, my smile brightening to finally have an opportunity to speak to my hero. Lillith smiled. “Thank you, witchling.” A few weeks later… Hunter and I had officially moved into the Owl House. It was a bit crowded but it became our home. Eda was teaching Hunter how to take care of his Palisman, plus how to use and treat it. I on the other hand, began to classes with Lillith and Luz, learning how to master glyphs. Sure, I still had my powers, but in case of emergencies I wanted to learn about these strange little symbols. We had become wanted criminals that day, and our wanted posters were stuck up all over the Boiling Isles. I felt a light tap on my shoulder. Turning around, I realised it was Hunter. “Hey Y/n, I have a surprise for you.” He said, grabbing my hand and leading me away from the Owl house. Dragging me through town, we snuck by many wanted posters of us. He finally stopped outside of Hexside, a school I had once attended before joining the Emperor’s Coven. Knocking on the door, Principal Bump opened. “Ah, good you’re here! Just in time too!” He whispered, taking down another poster that was stuck to his door. He smiled down at the two of us. “Good to see you again Y/n. Come this way!” Leading us onto the Grudgby field, I noticed Eda was standing beside a large, wooden stump. She walked over to us excitedly. “Y/n! Hunter had told us what had happened to your Palisman, so Bumpy, Hunter and I decided to give you a little surprise. I introduce to you…” The Bat Queen flew down, landing on the stump and opening the door. Many Palismans with cracks ran out, looking around curiously. “To the Palismans! These little guys need a good home again, and one lucky one may pick you.” My eyes widened in awe, as I clasped my hands over my mouth. Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes as I hugged Hunter, who was standing beside me. “THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!” I cried. Realising what I was doing, my face heated up, and I immediately let go, looking away in embarrassment. He did the same, scratching his neck as a pink flush covered his cheeks. Eda chuckled at our interaction. “Alright. All you gotta do is kneel down, say a goal you want to achieve and one should choose you.” She stated. I grinned as I knelt down, looking at all the cute Palismans scuttling about. “I want a powerful Palisman to help protect those I care about.” I said. One Palisman began to glow. It looked like a lizard from the human realm, but with a scorpion tail and sharp claws. I held out my hands as it turned into a staff, landing gently in my hands as the Palisman happily growled. My grin widened as I looked excitedly back at Hunter, hugging the Palisman close. Everything was going to be ok now.

Mando x Y/N
A/N: based on this amazing idea by @mandowhorian. I hope I’ve done your idea justice! Please forgive any ugly errors, it's very late and I am but a mere mortal incapable of spelling.
Warnings: violence (nothing graphic), descriptions of death, little bit of soft. Nasty formatting.
Words: 4.9k.
By Force
‘What have you got?’ The words were low and gravelly through the modulator.
Karga knew him well enough to know that that was the extent of the conversation he was going to get from his best hunter. Rather than bother trying to force a friendly chat between acquaintances he took the bounty pucks from his pocket and laid them out on the table.
‘I’ve got… a nobleman’s son, bail jumper, bail jumper, escaped convict…’ Karga held each one up to The Mandalorian as he named them but he raised and eyebrow and smirked slightly as the helmet stayed dead still in front of him.
‘What? None of these good enough for you, Mando?’ He laughed.
Mando hated how Karga would toy with him before giving him the bounty he actually wanted, but he needed the work and the guild was the only place he could get it. He tolerated Karga’s antics.
Karga stoped laughing and retrieved another puck from his pocket. He placed it carefully on the table right in front of Mando.
‘Now this one, this one is fun. She’s had several failed attempts on her already. And she…’ Karga looked around him before leaning in close across the table and whispering slightly, ‘she’s ex-Rebellion’.
‘Being a Rebel isn’t a crime, the New Republic has no problem with Rebels’ Mando was matter of fact in his response, turning his helmet to look away from the guild-man who was trying to enthuse him.
‘No questions asked, Mando, you know the rules’ Karga sat back against the seat of the cantina booth, ‘we don’t ask, we just take the puck’.
Mando knew the rules. He knew it was much better not to ask. The less information he knew about his bounties the better. He had a reputation as a fearsome hunter, skilled and efficient he could track quarries across the galaxy. And he did. If he pulled your number, you weren’t getting away. But below the Beskar he wasn’t some terrible monster. He was a man loyal to his creed, loyal to the Tribe, and dedicated to his work. But he wasn’t heartless. The less he knew the better he slept.
He sighed and scooped the puck up off the table, snatched the tracking fob from Karga’s outstretched hand and got up to leave, grabbing his Amban Pulse Rifle and securing it to his armour.
‘See you soon, Mando’ Karga crooned giving him a mock wave.
Mando didn’t bother to acknowledge him and strode out of the cantina on to the dusty streets of Nevarro. The sunshine glinted off his armour, as old an worn as it was. It had served him well on many an adventure and it would continue to do so until the time came for him to be able to earn new armour. But Beskar was not easy to come by, so for now he would continue to rely on the worn, battle scarred armour that was his second skin.
He made his way to the Razor Crest, hating the way eyes always seemed to trail him. Usually harmless and often just curious they would follow him as he moved, staring at the weaponry and the Beskar. He was grateful that his tall stature and powerful presence mostly kept punters from actually approaching him.
Finally he breeched the safety of the Crest and got off the ground as quickly as he could. His fortress of solitude sped away from Nevarro as fast as he could dare and finally he felt his muscles relax.
Sat in the pilot’s seat, Mando took a moment to properly examine the puck. The bounty was ex-Rebellion. Named Y/N and aged 35 she had evaded capture several times already. An ex-Rebel wasn’t his usual bounty and if she had already had several attempts on her she wasn’t going to come easy. Though he enjoyed a challenge he did wonder whether he should’ve settled for one of Karga’s numerous bail jumpers instead, just to take the easy route for once. But the covert was relying on his income and his loyalty to the Tribe outweighed his dislike of difficult jobs.
Y/N was suspected to be on some outer rim skughole called Tatooine that Mando had only heard mentioned when sat in bars frequented by guild members. It was a planet known to be used by smugglers and thieves. The ideal place to hide yourself away if you were looking to avoid capture.
Mando set course for the smuggler’s paradise and let the auto pilot take the reigns. He sat back in the seat and let his head tip back to rest. It would be several hours before he was anywhere near his destination. Enough time to remove his armour and get some rest.
Mando dragged his tired body to his quarters and began to strip the Beskar, carefully and slowly. He respectfully lined each piece up and inspected it for damage. The last piece was his helmet. He pressed the release and felt the cool air of the ship on his face as he shook back the sweat dampened hair from his face and ran a glove-free hand over the back of his neck. He stripped down further until he was wearing only a pair of undershorts and stretched. He felt every joint click and every sinew pull as he did. Sweet relief for a few brief hours.
He made his way to the ship’s small fresher where he showered and shaved the stubble that was growing itchy beneath the helmet. He cut a few loose ends from his hair that were untameable and looked at himself in the mirror. He didn’t hate what he saw but it wasn’t exactly his favourite view. Several cuts and scrapes adorned his face and scars covered a good portion of his shoulders and upper torso that he could see in the small mirror. His jaw line was sharp but to him it bore marks of fights and squabbles. His nose accentuated the beautiful symmetry of his face but to him it had been broken one too many times. His eyes were dark and enchanting but to him they looked like the muddy swamps of Mimban. He’d seen plenty worse than him in his time, but as he looked into his own exhausted eyes he was reminded how ever grateful he was for his creed. No living thing had seen him without his helmet since the day he had sworn it. Though he could occasionally find himself pining for the touch of another he had spent so long alone that those wants were infrequent and harmless.
He drudged back to his quarters and lay down on the make shift bed that hurt his back and offered about as much comfort as the cantina benches. It wasn’t much but it was safe. He would afford himself a little sleep.
*
After a few hours of much needed rest, the Beskar returned to its rightful place and the helmet once again obscured anything human about The Mandalorian from view. The location of his next bounty was well in view from the Crest’s cockpit and the tracking fob began to bleep in that familiar ominous tone.
There was a ship port in Mos Espa, one of the planet’s few port cities, and Mando decided that would be the safest place to leave his ship. He knew the planet was overrun with pirates and bandits and he didn’t want to run the risk of the Razor Crest being hijacked or stripped for parts while he was out working.
He docked in one of the empty bays and tossed a few credits to the Gamorrean manning the port and headed into the city.
It was hot and dusty and the suns were relentless already. It was early morning but the arid air was still dry enough to catch in Mando’s throat. The fob bleeped slowly, the bounty wasn’t likely to be in the city. But he knew that. No former-Rebel with a bounty on her head was going to hide out in a city. He was in for a long day.
Mando walked slowly through the tight streets and through the small market. Naturally, once again, all eyes were on him, an outsider – obviously there on guild business. The people of Tattooine were no stranger to bounty hunters or Mandalorians for that matter, but he still drew attention as a visitor to Mos Espa. He kept his eyes straight ahead, heading for the small cantina at the end of one of the narrow roads. It was a likely hang out spot for local bounty hunters and smugglers and he hoped that from there he might be able to procure some transport or at least a little more information about his former-Rebel quarry.
He entered the cantina, having to duck slightly to fit through the small door way. Automatically patrons turned to look at him but the band in the corner kept playing and no one seemed to pay him much mind as soon as it became apparent he wasn’t there to cause any trouble. He sidled up to the bar and rested his forearms on the sticky, unpolished surface waiting for the service droid to notice him.
‘Here on business, Mando?’ The voice came from behind him and Mando spun round quickly, braced for a fight. Instead he was met by a smile and two large hands reaching out to pat him on the arms.
‘We see plenty of your kind round here’ the smiling face and outstretched arms belonged to a tall, large man wearing a dirty apron and a pair of trousers all but dripping with grease obviously wiped on them by the hands now gently gripping Mando’s arms.
The man released him and motioned him to sit at the bar with him.
‘What can I do for you, traveler? Welcome to my humble cantina, can I get you a drink?’ The man kept smiling and clicked for the service droid to come over.
‘No thank you’ Mando replied as politely as he could, ‘I’m here for a job, I wont be staying’.
‘Figured as much’ the cantina owner shooed the droid away and pointed to the slowly blinking fob on Mando’s belt, ‘guild business?’.
Mando nodded but said nothing more, not wanting to give away his position.
The owner let out a bellowing laugh, it shocked Mando but the Beskar covered his reaction. No one in the cantina blinked an eye, this was obviously a regular occurrence.
‘Let me guess, you’re here for Y/N’ the owner offered, grinning at his own deductions.
‘Yes’ was the single word answer.
‘We have boys like you pass through nearly every week! But I admire the guild’s commitment to keep sending you guys after her’ the owner was pushing Mando to ask him questions, knowing he knew exactly what Mando needed.
Mando sighed and obliged, ‘tell me about her’.
The owner sat up on the bar stool and grabbed a drink from behind the bar.
‘She’s ex-Rebellion’ he began, settling in to tell a story Mando didn’t really want to hear, ‘she came here after the Battle of Yavin about 8 years ago. She’s been here since, legends say she’s waiting for someone’.
‘Being a Rebel isn’t a crime’ Mando offered.
The owner shook his head, ‘no its not, but the winds say there’s something about her that both sides of the fight want. They say she can move things with her mind and command the sands to do her bidding, they even say she can foresee things’ the owner nodded enthusiastically waiting for Mando’s equally as enthused response.
He didn’t get it.
‘Tell me where she is’.
The owner slumped back, visibly disappointed by Mando’s lack of curiosity but he continued on, ‘she lives out by the old rock formation north from here… you look like you’ve got a lot of heavy weaponry on you and that suit cant be fun to walk around in under two suns… if you go out back my boys will be happy to drive you’ something flashed in the owners eyes.
‘What’s in it for you?’ Mando’s voice was gruff and a little hushed.
A smile formed on the large man’s face, ‘maybe a few credits for the guys and if you do catch her’ he leaned in close to The Mandalorian, ‘and you survive her… you come back here and tell me if it’s true’ he tapped the side of his head and moved out of Mando’s space.
If he survived her? Who was Y/N? Exactly what was he walking in to?
Though he was about as far from trusting the man in front of him as he was from Nevarro, Mando agreed to pay his men for a ride to the rocky outcrop the bounty was supposed to live on.
The owner showed him out back where a group of four men were hanging around a beaten up old Landspeeder. Mando’s hackles raised, he felt uneasy and his instincts were usually right. He made sure the Pulse Rifle on his back was visible and hoped it served as a warning in case he was walking into an uncomfortable situation.
‘This is this week’s hunter looking for Y/N’ the cantina owner addressed the four men, ‘take him to the rock and he’ll pay you’.
He motioned for Mando to get into the speeder and went back indoors.
Mando stood still, no one spoke. He realised that he was in a small alley way, one end enclosed by walls of buildings, the other cut off by the four men who were now beginning to move towards him. None of them had blasters but all were wearing knuckle dusters.
This was a set up. He knew his instincts were correct.
‘Hand over the fob, Mando, and we’ll let you walk away alive’ one of the men called at him.
So that was it. They wanted to mug him for the fob in hope of getting to Y/N and collecting the reward.
‘I thought the other guy said you get hunters through here every week? If you know where she is why do you need me?’ Mando tried to reason, he didn’t need a fight.
‘What’s the use in a bounty without the puck for reward?’ The men laughed.
Mando flexed his fingers. He didn’t want a fight. But he guessed he was going to have to.
‘Come and get it’.
And with that the men lunged at him, all four of them in a frenzied and uncoordinated attack. Mando guessed they hadn’t been working together long.
One of them struck the Beskar with the knuckle dusters causing and almighty clang to echo out through the alley way. Mando all but brushed him off as the steel did it’s job and protected him from harm. The man shrieked in horror as his hand crumpled on impact and sunk to the floor.
Hand to hand combat wasn’t Mando’s forte, in fact he despised it. More often than not it ended up in another new scar and several days of nursing bruises. He didn’t have time for that right now.
Mando drew his blaster and shot the man that was furthest from him, hoping to draw the other’s attention away from him for a second. It worked and Mando stepped forward grabbing the two remaining men by the back of their heads while they were turned to look at the one with the blaster wound and slammed their heads together. Out cold they dropped like flies on to the desert dust.
The man who had first flown at him was on the floor cradling his probably broken hand against his chest. Mando grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and pulled him to his feet and slammed him against the wall of the cantina.
‘Where is she’ he growled.
‘She’ll kill you, man you don’t understand’ the ‘wannabe’ assassin whined.
Mando slammed him against the wall again, hard enough to hurt but not hard enough to break anything.
The man whimpered in pain, ‘she kills them all, she killed the guys we replaced! The last lot robbed the bounty hunter and went out to get her and they never came back, just like the ones before them and the ones before them! They just lose their minds and jump!’
‘What does she do to them’ Mando tightened the grip on the quivering man’s shirt and he yelped.
‘They say she makes them kill themselves, they say she can control their minds and they throw themselves off the rock, they say she drives them crazy with her thoughts’.
Mando let the little man go and he sunk to his knees and groaned in pain. Surely the sound from his blaster had been heard from inside the cantina and surely someone had realised that the four men had not returned with the fob.
It was time to go.
‘Which way?’ Mando didn’t need to shout, the man was so afraid he simply pointed to the north with his unbroken hand and sobbed slightly.
Mando tossed him a credit then leapt into the Landspeeder and sped off as the suns rose higher into the sky.
*
It was no more than an hour before Mando saw the shimmering outline of the rock formation in the distance. It was a large red stone lump in the middle of otherwise empty desert. Not exactly conspicuous, but completely inaccessible by foot and he had no doubt that she would have seen him coming long before he could see the rock.
He kept the speed up, unsure of what he was speeding towards. If she was as powerful as the men at the cantina had said then he was in for a fight.
As he approached the rock he slowed the speeder to a near halt. He hopped out and used the slowly moving speeder as cover until he reached the rock and flattened himself against it.
He checked over the Pulse Rifle, making sure it was in perfect order before he advanced further.
He looked up. There was what looked like a cave several feet up the rock and to his right was a staircase carved into the deep red stone. There was no wind, only scorching heat. He was grateful for the shadow the rock was casting. There was total silence. The only sound was of his own gentle breathing and the hurried bleeping of the fob on his belt. She was here. And there was no question that she knew he was too.
He sighed and made his way to the staircase. He slowly ascended, keeping his ears open for any sound that might indicate her presence. He arrived at the top of the staircase onto a carved balcony before the mouth of the cave.
He stopped and stared as he was greeted by murals painted on the stone face with astonishing detail. They portrayed men, bounty hunters by the look of their dress, being thrown from the top of the rock. Mando gulped. He put his hand up to touch the painting. If this was drawn by Y/N then she certainly had a knack for gory detail. The tortured twists of the falling men’s faces were horrifying but beautiful, but it was the drawing of the small woman, dressed in white with her hands above her head and eyes closed that grabbed his attention. It looked as though she were commanding the men to leap to their deaths.
It felt like he knew her?
Mando’s hackles raised again. Perhaps some of what he had been told wasn’t completely fictitious? Or perhaps she was just a talented artist marketing herself as a fearsome sorcerer? Only one way to find out.
Mando slunk against the wall and moved slowly towards the mouth of the cave. He drew his blaster before peering round the corner to look into the mouth of the cave. His blaster dropped to his side and if his jaw could have swung open it would have done.
The whole cave was filled with paintings. Lit by naked flame the cave was deep and silent. But the walls were plastered with paintings. Hypnotised Mando moved further in and admired the paintings, the detail was mesmerising. They were all portraits of a man with mirror like precision. And then stopped dead in his tracks. His blood ran cold.
He stared at the paintings of the man adorning the walls. He saw the unkempt hair and the forehead covered in scars. He recognised the sharp jawline and the nose that had been broken one too any times. He saw the tired eyes and the day old stubble. It was as if he were looking into the mirror in the small fresher on the Razor Crest.
He reached out expecting the stunning realism to reach back at him but it didn’t. Instead his gloved hand brushed at the face he recognised as his own.
The cave was covered in murals of him. Stood in various poses, sometimes smiling, sometimes scowling, all of them dressed in simple white – no armour.
He was lost in awe and panic when a quiet voice pierced the sharp silence.
‘Why are you here?’
Mando snapped back to reality and redrew his blaster and pointed it towards the voice.
Out of the shadow stepped a woman, dressed in all white, hair hanging around her shoulders, bare feet making gentle ‘paps’ against the cool, dark stone.
The fob bleeped relentlessly. Her.
‘Come for the bounty?’ She smirked.
As she came out of the shadows and closer to him he could see she was wearing what looked like a blindfold. White silk was wrapped around her head covering only her eyes. It was as if she radiated power and the way she moved was as though her feet floated inches above the floor.
Mando recovered his composure and lowered his blaster.
‘I can bring you in warm, or I can bring you in cold’ his voice held firm despite the fear and confusion burning within him.
‘Do you like the paintings’ Y/N gestured to the walls.
‘Who is he?’ Mando asked before he could even think.
‘I don’t know’ she smiled gently, ‘I cant see him’.
Mando stood up tall. He looked back at the walls as if his eyes had deceived him the first time. But no, he was sure. The man on the walls was him. A stunningly real version of him looking back at him from a thousand angles around the cave. But she didn’t know?
‘You.. can’t see?’ Mando hated himself the moment the words left his mouth. That was a question right up there with ‘why don’t you take your helmet off?’.
She smiled at him again, ‘I’m not wearing this for fun’ she touched at the wrap around her eyes, ‘I was born like this. I’ve had to rely on the Force to guide me my whole life’ her smile faded and it was as if the energy around her turned to sorrow.
Mando tensed. Who was she?
‘So the mural out front didn’t put you off’ she laughed and the light around her returned.
‘No’ he said matter of factly.
She cocked her head to the side, the smile still dancing on her lips.
‘You’re not like the others that come here. You’re not so frantic, less hurried. Who are you?’ She moved closer to him, now only a few feet separating them. ‘Do I know you?’.
Mando gulped.
‘Who are you?’ She repeated.
‘I’m here to take you back to the guild’ he was doing his best to keep his voice solid and monotoned.
But she picked up the slight wobble of his cadence and stepped closer still.
‘Who are you?’
‘Who is the man in the paintings?’ Mando’s voice almost cracked, the fear welling up in him. The words of the cantina man ringing in his ear ‘if you survive her’. He had thought it was superstitious nonsense, a story hyped up to keep hunters like him away from her. But as she stood before him, questioning him, his own silhouette adorning the walls of the cave, he felt a chill travel through his body despite the heat of the desert around him. And yet she felt familiar, almost safe?
Suddenly her posture softened. The smile returned and she shrugged.
‘Okay’ she said, ‘before I have to send you away like the rest of them I’ll tell you’.
She stood perfectly still as did he.
She breathed in, ‘he’s my soul mate’.
Mando’s brow furrowed and his lips moved as though he was going to say something, to protest maybe, but no sound came out.
‘I see him in my dreams, sometimes I see him in the day. I see him so often it’s as if I know him. But I can’t speak to him, so I paint him. He’s the only thing I can see’, she began to shuffle under foot, ‘it told me to come here to wait for him, of course it did, where else but the birth place of the Skywalkers. Who knew the Force had a sense of humour?’ she laughed.
He didn’t laugh back. The chill still running through his veins.
‘Who are you?’ His voice was soft and nervous.
She responded with a smile again, ‘I’m Y/N, and now it’s time for you to leave’.
She slowly reached out her hand and Mando went for his blaster and suddenly stopped. He couldn’t move. Panic rose in him and he tried to squirm but he was being held firm in an in invisible vice.
‘Thank you for coming, bounty hunter, but today is not your day’ there was menace in her voice and as she lifted her hand he began to move back, slowly towards the mouth of the cave.
He was held fast, as if he was one of his bounties frozen in Carbonite. The eyes of the paintings of him seemed to watch as he was slowly pushed towards the drop down onto the sand below.
‘Stop’ he shouted, the modulator covering some of the fear in the plea ‘I know him! The paintings! I know that man!’
He dropped suddenly to his knees, his lungs filling with the hot desert air in hurried gulps.
‘Who are you?’ She repeated, this time less calm.
Mando caught his breath and rose up on to one knee. She was standing still, her arm lowered. What the hell had she just done to him?
He stood up tall, his breathing erratic. He stepped back into the cave.
‘The man you’re painting, who did you say he was?’
‘My soul mate’ she was matter of fact about it, ‘I don’t know whether he knows but I know one day he’ll come to me, the Force tells me so, I feel it. That’s why I stay here, I’m waiting. It’s why I cant allow you to take me away’ she moved to raise her hand again and Mando put both of his out in protest.
‘Stop! I know him! I know the man you’re painting’ his pleas worked and she lowered her hand again.
His breathing hitched and his heart raced, ‘do you promise me you can’t see through that blindfold?’
‘What kind of question is that?’ Anger laced her response and he understood it more than she knew, but he had to be sure.
‘Promise me’ he commanded.
She nodded, her stature timid at the tone of his voice.
He didn’t know what he was doing, he just felt compelled to do it. He couldn’t explain it, he couldn’t understand it himself, but he reached up and listened for the click and gentle hiss of the release of his helmet. He felt the warmth of the air on his face and brushed the sweat dampened hair from his forehead.
She didn’t flinch, didn’t move, didn’t say a word. She couldn’t see him.
He stepped forward and her fingers flexed.
‘I know the man in the paintings’ he stopped as he stood right up close to her, her heart leaping at the sound of his un-modulated voice.
Her breathing increased and her body tensed.
Mando reached down and took her hands. She flinched and pulled away but he caught her arms and held her gently, ‘trust me’.
She did. She couldn’t tell herself why but she trusted the bounty hunter.
He carefully lifted her hands to his face, ‘I know the man in the paintings’ he repeated softly.
She put her hands on his face, felt his hot skin and his sweat dampened hair. She felt the beautiful curve of his nose, the sharpness of his jaw, every scar and bruise that told a story and she gasped.
‘I know him’ he repeated.
She smiled as she traced her fingers over his face, seeing him.
He felt her seeing him. He was used to stares from strangers, he hated the way they looked at him, but she was the only person he wished could see him. Finally someone he wanted to look upon him and she couldn’t. But she felt like home.
She kept smiling, touching the smooth skin, the chapped lips, the long eyelashes. She recognised it all. She could see him, his image as clear as her visions beneath her gentle hands. Her favourite view.
‘You’re him,’ her voice was shocked but her face gave away her joy.
‘You’re Din’.

dude sheepy do u know abt corpse party? if theres rumors abt the delinquent school being haunted, imagine smth kind of like that in that school, but like with less gore. maybe even a ghost love interest. maybe!!! the reader is one of jacks goons and!! love triangle?? i gotta go
Let me throw in not only one, but two new characters in the mix because I'm a masochist.
Jack my boy, I'm sorry, but you have some competition. Also no, Bucky isn't one of the "official characters" (as in, there won't be any requests available for him).
🍭꒰⑅ᵕ༚ᵕ꒱˖♡🍮꒰⑅ᵕ༚ᵕ꒱˖♡🍰꒰⑅ᵕ༚ᵕ꒱˖♡🍮꒰⑅ᵕ༚ᵕ꒱˖🍭
Hidden, forgotten, and starving [Yandere!Delinquent x Goon!Reader x Yandere!Ghost boy x (Fuck, another possible Yandere!oc??)]:
(Non-binary reader btw)
You know, when your leader said something along the lines of "Meet me up in 9 p.m", you thought it was going to be something fun. Maybe you and the gang would be able to hangout without having to be on school grounds, or on a dark nasty alley.
But, nah, that was only wishful thinking.
Jack's type of fun is a little different from the normal person's type of fun. Is surprisingly really violent for someone who's is kinda small, and has such a pretty face.
Not, that you have noticed or anything.
Hell, one of these days he said he would burn a whole corporation and drag some rich family's name into the mud for, pissing him off? You guess?? He was ranting, so none of you actually payed attention.
Again, he may be a little short, but that anger in his soul is something no human can comprehend. Where were you? Oh yeah, he didn't call the gang to play some games and have fun, he had called y'all to beat the shit out of some other gang….
On school grounds…..
At night.
"- …. You know this isn't a good idea, right?"
You asked him if he was sure, but he didn't say anything. He was focused on only one goal.
Entering inside the school isn't really hard. If anything, is pretty easy, jump the horribly placed iron fence. Ya done. Welcome to Saint Bernard's School for Little Prodigies! Where everything sucks, and everyone is insane!
"- It isn't so bad! There are a lot of cool things hidden in this place… There are so many legends that graduated from this school!" Your fellow gang member and also local himbo sweetheart, Bucky, (is actually Benedict, but he doesn't really like that name), said it.
"- I don't think so…" You said honestly. You don't really think you, Bucky, Jack and the others are going to find anything special except dust and old shit. The only thing that will spice this night is this gang meet up or whatever.
"- Come on, it will be fun! We can search the school and find all type of old stuff!" You look at how excited he is, and although you love him dearly, you can't help but still have difficulty to enjoy this whole situation.
"- Bucky….. it's old stuff."
"- I know right! Can you go with me [Y/N]-"
"- Oh my God- Shut up!" Jack yelled. He was getting impatient with your whole conversation. He had only came here to show some girl gang that this school doesn't have any space for them. Not to see…. You and that imbecile talking about stupid shit.
When he yelled he did seem to mention it more towards Bucky than you. It's not that he doesn't like him, it's just that he-
"- [Y/N], come here!" Jack yelled again, calling you to get closer.
You go towards him, as he asks you to look around and see if you can see anyone. But no one seems to be near the school grounds, and you can't see any motorcycle girl's gang anywhere.
"- Why exactly are we going to fight them again?" You ask, tired more than usual of Jack's odd behavior. Or well, usual behavior.
"- …." Silence. He doesn't answer you, but his expressions changes a little. Fuck, why can't you just follow his lead without questioning everything.
No, he shouldn't have thought that, ever. Y'all are your own people, you don't need to hear him, he prefers when you guys decide for yourselves. Well mostly the other ones, when it comes to you, he has a hard time acknowledging how he doesn't like how you head in into danger without hearing him.
He never stops to actually think about this stuff, maybe today he just….. feel a little more on edge than usual.
After seeing that neither you or the rest will just drop the question, he answered.
"- …. Sigh. The leader of the other gang wants to be the new Little Miss Red." He said unbothered, while everyone had an extreme reaction, you were left wondering who the fuck was Little Miss Red.
Sounds like a anime villain, or something like that.
"- [Y/N]!! Y-you don't w-who Little, L-little-"
Bucky was trying to ask you so hard, but he couldn't stop stuttering with excitement and fear. Jack is having none of his dumb attitude today.
"- Speak up. Little Miss Red." He said, harshly. What is wrong with him today?
"- S-sorry Jack. Little Miss Red was the first student to form a gang and dominate the entire school!" He is excited to tell you everything he knows. He may be a little troublemaker, but is mostly because he really admires Lil Red and her story (even if most was left far away from public sight).
"- Oh, really?" You're not gonna lie, you wished you were sleeping at home. You wished you heard about this chick on another day. You can't be bothered right now. So what? Some girl wants to be the new Red? What do you have to do with it?
"- She wants to dominate the school, dumbass." Another one of your group said. Fuck that guy, you can't even remember his name, you're really tired.
"- If not the whole entire neighborhood around the school." Said Jack.
"- Well, I'm pretty sure they aren't coming, how about we just go home then-"
A loud noise came from inside the school. You guys could see a little bit of light coming from outside the windows.
"- Are they inside?" You ask.
"- We were supposed to meet outside." Jack responded.
….
Silence.
And then, of course, since you guys really needed an encouragement to get inside that hell place, all of you heard a disturbing, inhuman scream. And after that, a female voice calling for help.
"- …. We, are going in, or…?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Like, this is a really, really dumb idea. Normally when someone hears a terrible noise and then a call for help, it only ends up being a terrible sign.
"- Going towards the monster, nice plan." You said sarcastically. It's not that you're afraid of monsters….. You just don't want to meet one, in person.
"- Monsters aren't real." Jack said.
"- … But if you really are scared, then come here."
"- Sure."
You walked closer to Jack, that was leading the way towards the corridors. His phone's flashlight being extremely useful.
Something is bugging his mind ever since you all entered school grounds. He feels like Bucky is getting a little too friendly with you, and although he shouldn't be mad about something so stupid, he can't stop thinking about this.
He needs to concentrate, but he can't stop worrying about Bucky losing his guard and you-
"- Hey, I think we should separate."
...
"- … What?"
He is being a dumbass.
"- Why though? What if we can't find each other?"
He only wants to ask you a simple question, but is such a stupid question. He needs everyone to go away so you two can talk.
"- Let's divide into two groups, I'll go with [Y/N], y'all can go upstairs and check it out."
"- But that's not even equally divided-"
"- I said, go upstairs-"
Again.
Another scream. That same female voice, it sounds so close, coming from the other hall.
But then another one, a male voice coming from…. Everywhere.
He sounds desperate, he says that someone should get him out.
"- Hello? Who's there?" Bucky asked.
"- You know, you shouldn't ask ghosts questions, they can start fucking stuff up man." One of the other members said.
"- Oh, but they sound in pain, shouldn't we help-"
"- Please… I don't want to stay here…" The male voice said. His voice is starting to crack, he is crying.
His voice is coming from somewhere really close.
"- Argh!" You all turned your backs to see a girl in leather jacket trying to crawl. She finally notice that she wasn't alone.
"- Help!-" Hands covered her mouth, her face, her arms, it started dragging her backwards.
You guys were going to follow her, when again.
"- Please, open this door…." You heard him, he was in agony. You couldn't leave him alone.
Jack and the others were following the girl, while you kept walking down the hallway. Following the voice.
You felt like you needed to help him. Desperately. He was going to die if you didn't. To you it felt like ages as you walked slowly to the janitor's closet.
Walking silently, trying to hear his pleads. He got louder and louder the more you came closer to his prison.
You found the janitor's closet. The door was shaking with the pounds of the boy.
"- GET ME OUT GET ME OUT GET ME OUT GET ME OUT GET ME OUT-"
You opened the door. It wasn't locked. It hadn't been locked since a long time.
You finally woke up from, whatever the hell happened to you just now. But you don't think you're a 100% fine, tho.
You can only hear a deafening silence. There is no one here. There is nothing here except for old paper on the ground.
You walked in, slowly, afraid that if you took a bad step you would suddenly fuck something up.
You kneeled down, looking at the documents in the ground. You, suddenly feel a little too eager to read them.
Maybe you're just feeling really curious.
There are old newspapers, all saying something about Saint Bernard's School for Little Prodigies. Some saying something about Little Miss Red, others about the school bad conditions and somehow involvement into the Amaryllis Academy's school foundation.
You found a couple of notes cut into pieces, some are not easy to read. Others are really simple and, although you would normally find really boring to read this kind of stuff, you have a odd feeling reading them.
It's two friends talking over paper messages. They seem to be in class and can't let the teacher know they're not paying attention. They talk about meeting after school, and having plans on a Saturday. It doesn't have a exact date on the paper, but you can see the paper is pretty old and dirty.
It sounds like a normal friendship. One of them even said:" I have something really important to tell you, but I can't really tell you in person since I'm really shy about this stuff. I'll tell you this Saturday, I promise."
You found old photos of students on the ground. Most are market with a red marker. Crosses all over their faces. But the are only two that you can see the face of.
A chubby black girl, big curly hair, wearing glasses. She is looking really awkward in this picture, as if she didn't want to take it. She is wearing the same blue jacket you're using right now.
The other one, however.
Is the same chubby black girl. Her hair has red streaks on it, and she isn't wearing the blue jacket, but rather a red vest, with fishnets under going from her shoulder, to her hands. You almost thought they weren't the same person, one looks shy and awkward, but somehow really sweet, the other one is straight up giving whoever was the cameraman the middle finger. Her faces says how done she is with everyone's bullshit.
You like this girl. You guess this is the girl you heard about.
And the last thing you found. Was a cut article about, some student that was found dead out of nowhere on this school.
His body was inside this closet.
You didn't notice, but time suddenly stopped when you enter in the janitor's closet. It didn't stop literally, but you didn't felt like it was running normally.
On a moment you were seeing a girl being dragged by some hands, and now your reading some old creepy stuff.
Which reminded you-
"- [Y/N]! Where are you?" Jack asked, his voice was somewhere distant.
"- Wait, guys I'm here!"
You get up as fast as you can, but it didn't matter.
As soon as you return to reality after reading about your cursed school, you felt the sudden realization that they didn't see you going the other way. Hell, you didn't even help that girl that was being fucking dragged!
Before you can escape this terrible place, the door closes.
And it locks itself.
"- No, no, no, no, no, guys! Come on, I'm here, you idiots!"
You bang the door and scream as loud as you can. No one can hear you.
"- Goddammit."
You start packing, thinking they might leave you here if you don't do something. But before you can think of a way out, the realization of you not being the only one inside there, hits you really hard.
"- …. He-help!" You heard it. That same male voice from before. Closer than ever. He sounds like he is right behind you.
Yet his voice sounds hoarse. Timid, yet cold.
You turn around to look at your company, you see a student, just like you, curled up into a ball, holding his stomach. He is murmuring nonsense….
You try to get closer.
Hey, maybe he is lost…?
You can see he is a latino boy with long hair, tied as a low ponytail. He is shaking uncontrollably.
"- I'm- I'm so hungry. Please, let me go."
He managed to say out loud.
"- Hey, are you alright? I can help you, we just need to get out of this closet, I can buy you something, okay?"
What happened to this poor guy? He seems traumatized.
"- Pl-please!"
He stutters again. You came closer, putting your hand on his shoulder.
"- I'm going to help you, okay?"
You say.
He stopped shaking. He stopped talking. He stopped hyperventilating. He stopped breathing.
He is extremely cold.
Before you can react, you're pinned to the ground. The ghost boy on top of you, salivating like a mad man.
"- Hey! Get off!" You don't want to believe this guy is dead. Ghosts aren't real. Monsters aren't real, right??
He is breathing even faster than before. Like there isn't enough air on his lungs.
Believe it or not, he truly doesn't want to do this.
"- ….. I'm sorry." He apologized before biting your neck.
"- What?-Aaaaargh!-"
For a ghost guy, he does feel really real! It hurts a lot!! What is he a vampire or a ghost?
You're bleeding. He isn't trying to suck your blood, he is trying to tear your skin.
You can hear his stomach growling.
And you can also hear Jack searching for you. You manage to free yourself from the ghosts grip and move yourself away for a bit.
"- Jack? JACK! Help!- Argh, fuck! Get off!"
Only to have him try to tear your arm away. He isn't doing a good job at this though.
"- I'm sorry. I-I'm really sorry!" You look and see him crying.
"- Well, then let me-"
A unholy screech comes from you. He broke your arm, at first he didn't seem so strong, but after feeling him digging his fingers into your arm and rotating it, you can tell he really is trying to tear your arm away.
He could have done this quicker. But he didn't want to do this to begin with! He swears, he doesn't like doing this…
For your luck, your scream is heard. You can see the door shaking and hear Jack screaming for you on the other side.
Ghost boy got distracted by it. Usually, there isn't anyone at night. Actually, he is the whole reason there isn't any night classes.
Too many students and staff members suddenly going missing at night time.
It's good to meet new people. He used to think so. He misses having company.
He misses not endlessly consuming people to satisfy an endless hunger.
"- Jack!" You took advantage of the boy's distraction, and decided to get away from him. You kicked him, but your foot passed right through him.
You still managed to get away and reach the door. You looked back, thinking he was chasing you.
He wasn't. He didn't want to. He could, but he really didn't want to.
He only said his goodbye towards you, still apologizing for what happened.
You were too surprised by the boy's action, that you collided with Jack when he opened the door.
"- Ouch- Really? You missed me this much [Y/N]?"
You can't respond. You're hyperventilating like you just runned a marathon.
"- Hey, are you alright? I heard you screaming, are you hurt?"
You remember your arm was broken, and that's when you realize, it's really painful. Yet you can't really find the right words right now.
"- [Y/N]?!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jack brought you home after the whole incident happened. Turns out the girl that was getting dragged was actually the leader of the gang you were supposed to fight off.
Janette, the girl's name, was "playing a little prank on everyone", cause you know, that's really funny when everyone is scared as hell.
The fight was still going to happen, but Jack couldn't care less about that or her, he only wanted take care of your broken arm. Janette didn't really complain, she didn't understand how the hell you managed to get your arm broken, but she didn't want to fight anyone that was already in disadvantage.
Although being someone that wanted to pick a fight with all of you, Janette helped you out with your broken arm and bleeding caused by the ghost boy.
She is apparently really talented when it comes to dealing with this stuff, you can tell she has been through a lot, looking at her scarred face.
She is really pretty for someone so build. Damn, that actually makes her more pretty though.
Oh, and about the ghost. No one fucking believes you. They all think you either were hallucinating or just "saw things because you were scared".
You tried to explain how you got hurt, but when you mentioned a ghost, absolutely no one understood what you were talking about.
Anyway, you had a long night. You need some rest. In the morning you'll explain what happened to everyone.
Even if you yourself can't tell what really went down while you were at school.
Your mind keeps re-telling you what the ghost had told you before you left.
"- I'm sorry. I was really hungry."

Midnight Rendezvous
PART 1
Tumblr media
Relationship: Michael Myers x Reader
Warnings: NONE
With a box in your arms you moved to your new house and home of Haddonfield, ready to start anew. Your new home was a two story house that you found at a very delightfull price and surprisinglly none wanted to buy it, except for you. When you talked with the saleswoman and asked her more about the history of the house and what the truth about it is; why so many people run from it. With a sigh leaving her lips she told you all the gruesome murders and the morbid history that Haddonfield was hiding. At first you were a little unsure, but you found yourself very intrigued by the tale, so with a final decision you bought it.
You had a degree in psychology, finished college in New York and all you wanted was to get away from the agglomeration of the big city, start anew. The human mind always fascinated you, all the thoughts that one simple human mind can have. That’s where you found the tempting offer of being a nurse at Smiths Grove Asylum for the mentally ill. Of course you didn’t catch the doctor post, but every big one starts from the bottom, so being a nurse didn’t sound so bad; actually it paied quiet handsomly, so nothing to complain about.
That’s where in the actual present you are moving all of your belongings to the past Myers house and now your present home. The last box was set on the floor in the living room. It was quiet nice, just a little cleaning and it would be a cozy home. Next day it was the start of your new job and it was already past bedtime, not to mention that you needed to wake up early so you wouldn’t be late on your first day. Taking a shower and changing into some comfy pijamas you got under the covers of the bed with a smile on your face for what will bring the next day.
NEXT DAY
Waking up early was never your thing so you really needed a mug full of coffee to prepare you for the long day that is to come. You were drinking your coffee, your eyes half lidded from not sleeping enough. You were supposed to meet up with Doctor Sartain to explain to you what you needed to do and to prepare you for the job that you will do at Smith Grove.
Lookig to the left at the other nurses who gossiped and looked at you. From what you heard you were the youngest of the nurses here, been in your early 20′. You didn’t minded the scowls and glares of the woman; you were used to all the crap from collage, so this was just a warm up for the real deal with patients.
A door opened and an old man in a white coat entered with a clipboard and some papers. He looked kind of creepy, it reminded you from this horror movies with the demented doctor who went insane. You wanted to laugh at your morbid jock, but decided otherwise.
“Ah good morning, [First Name] [Last Name], if I am corect.” he said with a small smile, nothing creepy, so you were good.
“Yes, that would be me. Happy to be here, doc.” you said with a chuckle. He looked you over and nodded.
“Very happy to see youngers from big colleges moving to small towns. We don’t really have young newbies here.” he said...so that’s why you were the only young woman along the nurses.
You and Doctor Sartain  walked down the halls of the asylum, chatting and disgusing the job you are here for. It seemed pretty easy. He handed you a list of patients you will have to take care of; looking over the list one name seemed more particular than the rest.
“Michael Myers?” you said in a quiet voice, like his name would bring hell up if you said it too loud. Sartain looked at you with a hard look, the one that seemed to petriefy you.
“I just moved in his childhood house.” you said in a quiet whisper, biting you lower lip in a nervous manner. Doctor Sartain put his hand on your shoulder, trying to comfort you.
“Look Miss [Last Name]. You don’t have to be afraid, alright? He is locked up and cannot harm you. I was just surprised that you had the courage to move into his past home. Such bravery, but is perfect! You will be perfect for Myers...seeing how the other nurses dont even wanna get close to him,” he explained to you. Ok, maybe you were just paranoid, because of the stories and murders. The Boogieman, as the people of Haddonfield called him, was locked up, chained and cannot harm you, that’s what you would say to yourself, so you wouldn’t panick like a nutcase.
As you and Sartain visited the pacients that you needed to take care off, you moved to the last one, something that made you a little nervous. The two of you were at the door of his cell, ready to enter the room where Michael Myers laid. As the doc opened the door, you two entered slowly so not to startel Michael. He sat on a char to a small tabel, hands in lap, looking out the window with bars. You looked him over, you could tell he was a pretty tall man, probably 6′5 and pretty bulky, broat shoulders and chest. His hair was grey from old age and a little bit slicked back, grey scruff on his jaw. From what you could tell his eyes were brown, only for one to be a mily white,  scar coming from his brow, close to his mouth; probably from getting in a fight with a too persistent victim.
“Hello there, Michael. I would like you to meet someone. This is [First Name] [Last Name] and she will be your new nurse, that will take care of all of your needs.” Sartain said with a too happy voice; maybe it was unusual for Michael to have someone take care of him.
He turned his head slowly towards the two of you, only for his eyes to lock on yours. They looked so tiered and so empty, like the dark hole of the hell, no emotions. His face was stoic, not a muscle moving, not a smile, not a glare, nothing. It was the type of face you have when you are transfixed with something; he was basically staring into your soul. You expected  Michael Myers befor you had seen him to look ugly, like a monster, but God he was far behind it and probably he didn’t know either, how handsome he looked even at such an old age, he pulled the whole sexy rugged GILF quiet well. At that taught your mouth leaved a quiet giggle, one that didn’t come unobserved by both Sartain and Michael.
Quickly, you covered your mouth, your eyes on the floor in a shy matter and a pink blush dusting your cheeks. You should act professional, not act like a schoolgirl.
“Aaalright then, so from tomorrow [Name] will be your nurse, so I expect you to be on your best behavior.” Sartain told Michael, getting ready to leave with you. You couldn’t help, but give Michael a little wave and small smile; your pink blushing face didn’t go unobserved by him. He gave you no reaction to your gesture. As the door closed, you and Michaels doctor walked away chatting about work and about your life.
Inside the cell Michael looked again out the window, It’s been a long time since someone came to be his nurse. He remember the last one, stabbing her in the eye with a spoon.
A smirk graced his rugged face, remembering your blushing face and shy attitude towards him. Michael was no dumb idiot, he was actually very observant and knew the difference between afraid, full of fear and been shy and timid.
It could be fun, since he was very bored, you would provied a very interesting form of entertainment.
If only you knew what you got yourself into.
(Again I’m starting a new multi-chapter story with my favorite hunka hunka of a slasher, Michael Myers. I shouldn’t write fanfiction at midnight while drinking coffee liquer and smoking cigarettes....I’m so going to hell.)

The Circus III

Werewolf! Kylo x Reader Modern/Monster AU
Words: +3.500
Warnings: a bit of Angst,
AN: Since I don´t like the “we don´t talk about the problem to create more drama” have a mostly drama free chapter haha <3
MY MASTERLIST - Can be found in my Bio if you´re interested in more of my work!
It was unusual warm and when she tried to turn around in her spot Y/N could only feel a soft wall. Hearing a sudden growl, her eyes snapped right open. When they landed on the long fangs her instinct was to run away immediately, but something held her back. A big paw was laying on her legs, which made it impossible to move away from this creature.
“Kylo, you're scaring her! Let her go!” Phasma was standing with the others near the entrance, her arms up to calm the wolf down, who was starting to growl loudly again at her request.
Finn, who was trying to get closer got hit by Kylos tail and fell back, before the black wolf curled it around Y/N, a cold wet snout pressing against her cheek with a whine.
Her body was completely stiff besides the shiver that run over her spine. What the hell was happening? Slowly turning her head, she looked into the eyes of the enormous wolf that had curled around her. Seeing this familiar warm brown eyes Y/N slowly lifted her shaking hand and Kylo let his head sink down onto her lap before she rested her hand on his snout. His tail instantly started to wag, almost throwing all the stuff she had put on the desk, down.
“Is this really … Kylo?” she asked the others that were still trying to calmly approach this situation. All of them slowly nodded.
Turning back to the wolf it suddenly licked her face, his long and soft tongue gracing over her torso, face and brought most of her hair to stand up straight into the air.
She noticed how gently this big creature was with her and Y/N just needed to admit that this was really her boyfriend, this was Kylo. She had seen it with her own eyes.
“Can somebody please explain to me what is going on?” she whimpered, her voice shaking.
“To put it as simple as possible ...” Phasma sighed.
“He is a Werewolf.” Finn shook his head.
“And tonight's full moon, so ...” Poe pointed up.
„But doesn’t that mean that he is dangerous?“ Y/N immediately felt a push against her chest and Kylo let out a hurt whine.
„As you can see, as long as he is with you he will behave.“ Poe sat down near the Platform and Kylo cautiously watched him.
Just now Y/N noticed that she wasn‘t even laying on the floor were she collapsed, but on the big mattress. It seemed like the wolf had brought her here.
In a daze she started to let her fingers run through the thick raven black fur, which made his tail wag again.
„Just to be clear on this, he wanted to tell you today. But before we even knew, the moon was up and … well you saw what happened.“ Phasma joined Poe and Finn followed afterwards.
The wolf’s tail quickly laid back around Y/N, which made clear to her that he somewhat tried to protect her. At least that was what she hoped.
„B...but his work here…. when they find out…“ she mumbled and the other three exchanged a look.
„Actually that is the reason why we are here. This is a special place for …“
„People like us.“ Finn finished Poe’s sentence.
“You guys too? But ….” she was so confused, not only did her boyfriend just turn into a freaking wolf, but now the only friends she knew here, were something different as well?
“I'm a vampire.” Finn opened his mouth to show her his long fangs that suddenly grew.
Looking over to Poe, he lifted his hand directly in front of his face and suddenly looked like a completely different man.
“Shapeshifter.” he explained before changing back in his normal self.
Now all of their eyes landed on Phasma who seemed a bit shyer than usual.
She opened her jacket and let it slowly slit down her shoulders were Y/N could see the beautiful shining and reflecting scales on her skin.
“I have these since my birth. I can communicate with snakes, but that's about it. Doesn't mean other people find me horrifying though...” the tall woman explained, with a sad smile and shrugged her shoulders.
“I don't find you horrifying...” Y/N mumbled, slowly leaning against Kylos big head on her lap.
“Of course you don’t! You're special, we knew that from the start.” Phasma smiled and wanted to reach out to Y/N but Kylo immediately started to growl and stood up, before he let himself down between his friends and Y/N, covering her with his whole body.
“Hey don't be so rude to your friends!” scolding Kylo he only huffed which almost sounded like a snicker before he pressed her down into the mattress with his snout.
With a sighed she gave up to fight against it and looked over to the others who had light smiles on their lips.
“He is just trying to protect you since you're his mate, we understand.” Poe leaned back and got hit by Kylos tails.
“Calm down big guy, she would know sooner or later.”
“M...mate?” she asked, while trying to push herself up but the dark wolf wouldn't lift his head again.
“We better let Kylo explain this to you, he will be back to normal when the sun comes up again. He only might be a bit tired and extremely hungry, but the kitchen here will give you guys a proper meal after this night.”
Now she could also understand why he was so hungry yesterday and ate most of their proviant on the drive. This transformation had taken a toll on him.
“Is this how big he always get´s? Anything i need to pay attention to?” she asked the others who looked at Kylo for a moment.
“No just at full moon. This is his original form. Just stay inside with him for now. He is only calm because you're here. Before, we always needed to lock him away in the basement. This is much better for him...”
Hearing their words, Y/N gently let her fingers run through Kylos fur, who slowly closed his eyes knowing that he was safe with her and that she would be safe with him.
“Let's talk more tomorrow. You two are probably tired.” Phasma whispered and Y/N only nodded since she couldn't move under Kylos weight anyway.
“You silly man you … well wolf ...” brushing over his snout he again let out a huff. She made herself comfortable under his big head since it didn't seem he wouldn't move anyway. At least it was warm and soft, now she could understand the big mattress, in this form he barely fit on it.
The next morning the first thing that woke her up was the whining and whimpering next to her, before she noticed that the weight on top of her slowly got lighter.
Pushing herself up so that she could sit, Y/N looked down at Kylo who held dearly onto her, just like yesterday he seemed to be in pain, his body covered in cold sweat.
Pressing the back of her hand against his forehead it seemed like he had a light fever. Conflicted she looked between Kylos face and his arms that were wrapped around her. They had told her to stay with him but also that he would need lots of food.
With a small sighed she slowly climbed out under him, which made him whimper for a moment, his hands searching the spot where she just was.
“Shh… i will be right back, i promise...” pressing a kiss on his scalp, Y/N quickly washed up before leaving the tent to make her way to the kitchen.
She shyly approached the woman who was working behind the table.
“G...Good Morning.”
“Oh! Good Morning sweetheart, you are one of the newcomers right? Werewolf and Human?” turning around to her supplies the woman with her hoarse voice prepared a big tablet.
“Uhm… y..yeah...” Y/N only nodded, while brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.
“Ah … you just found out mhmm? I know that! You should have seen me when i found out my husband was a merman, no wonder he liked baths more than me.” she laughed and placed the tablet onto the table, a mountain of bacon, eggs and pancakes on it.
“So you're human too?” interested Y/N stepped a bit closer.
“I sure am! We are outnumbered here, but believe me everyone here is a thousand times better then these boring people in the city's. And if you need anything you can always come to me.” placing a big canister of water next to the tablet she smiled down at Y/N who grinned back.
“Thank you...” looking at all the food and water she was worrying how she would be able to bring this all back to their tent.
“Rey! How was your meal?” the woman shouted to another younger woman which seemed to be the same age as Y/N.
Only nodding as an answer, the woman called Rey, yawned loudly.
“Would you be a sweetheart and help Y/N here, to bring their breakfast back to their tent?” the Kitchen Lady asked her.
Y/N had already grabbed the tablet on her own and wanted to apologize towards Rey for the inconvenience, until the other woman suddenly leaned down to her and took a few sniffs before she scoffed and grabbed the canister with water.
Grabbing the tablet tighter Y/N quietly wanted to lead the way but the other girl was already walking away. She didn't know why, but Rey made her weirdly uncomfortable.
With a sighed Y/N was now the one following until they entered the tent. Kylos condition seemed to be worse than before, then his breathing was heavy and he was clawing at the blanket she had put over him before leaving.
Quickly setting down the tablet she climbed up to him on the mattress.
“It's okay I'm here.” she tried to sooth him and brushed away the black locks that were sticking to his head, when he slowly opened his eyes.
First his lips curled up into a smile, still seeing her by his side was a huge relieve for him, until he could smell another scent that meant nothing good.
Immediately jumping in a kneeling position he had pulled his girlfriend against his chest with such strength that it almost hurt, his eyes glowing yellow while they were fixated on the brown haired woman, before he let out a loud warning growl.
“Don't worry, I won't harm your little ...pet.” Rey mumbled, the last word lingering on her lips with disgust.
“She is not my pet and you better leave… right now...” he fletched his teeth and Y/N saw how he showed his fangs towards Rey.
“You know, for a pureblood you´re pretty pathetic. Can't even endure one Full Moon night without being so weak.” crossing her arms in front of her chest she starred at both of them.
“At least I'm not stuffing my body with meds that hinder that. You reek of them, bitten. And now … get the fuck out!” Kylo barked and Rey only growled back before leaving.
As soon as he couldn't feel her presence anymore he slouched down onto Y/N, who held him tightly.
“Are … are you okay?” she asked worried and only felt him slightly nod.
“It's nothing, I will be better in a few hours.” taking a deep breath, Kylo like he always buried his face in her hair to calm himself with her scent and get the other smell from this woman out of his nose.
“That's not what i asked!” Y/N mumbled sternly and he chuckled lightly.
“Just say if you want to pamper me, Moonshine.” pressing a soft kiss against her cheek she shook her head with a smile.
“Just lay down and wait! I'll bring you water!” she quickly said and laid him back into the cushion, before crawling out their big bed. First bringing the tablet with food, she soon returned with a glass of water.
Taking one of the glasses he quickly gulped all of it down and Y/N already started to refill it.
“Thank you...” he whispered before gently brushing over her cheek.
“It's just water, Ky.” Y/N chuckled at his serious tone.
“That's not what I mean… I'm thanking you for not leaving me behind.” sitting back up he pressed his lips onto hers for a moment.
“Kylo …” she sighed when they separated again.
“I wouldn't just leave you … even though I'm disappointed you didn't tell me sooner.” cuddling up against his chest, he leaned his head against hers.
“I wanted to… I tried, believe me ...” it was just a whisper but she was able to hear the remorse in his voice.
“How about you eat first and then you can explain me everything. I want you to get better first...” stroking over his back, Kylo slowly nodded and his eyes lit up when he saw the mountain of food.
Gobbling most of it down in mere minutes, Y/N just watched him while she munched on one of the pancakes. She was reminded of his sharp teeth in his wolf form and a shiver was running down her spine and she quickly averted her eyes. Even though there was a part of her that was scared about all of this and her instinct told her to run, there was something that held her back, knowing that he would never do something bad to her and that she belonged by his side.
Of course he noticed that she was caught up in her thoughts, how could she not be after this night and he would spoil her rotten today to make her feel better and take his time to explain everything properly.
Reaching out to brush a strand of hair behind her ear, she suddenly flinched away from him. For a moment she looked scared before she averted her eyes, Kylo slowly let his hand sink again.
“Are you scared of me now?” he asked, his voice just a whisper.
“I'm not scared of you! But you can't expect from just to be okay with this ...” suddenly her voice broke.
“Yesterday you came stumbling in here, almost screaming and twitching in pain and when you transformed your bones just made that … horrible sound. I … I thought you were dying! And I felt so helpless and then suddenly there is this gigantic wolf in front of me ...” pulling her legs closer, Y/N sunk her head on her knees with a shaky breath.
Feeling one of his arms around her torso the other one slipped under her legs before he pulled her into his lap to hold her close.
“Will you be always hurting when you transform?” Kylo could hear a quiet mumble while he gently brushed over her hair.
“No, only on full moon. I normally try to fight against it by instinct since I’m much more powerful on those nights and… I tried to fight it as long as i could so i would maybe tell you before it happened but I was too late.” burying his head in her hair, Kylo took a deep breath.
“Poe mentioned something about … that they needed to lock you in the basement before, but since I'm your ...mate. J...just what does this even mean? I'm so confused, Kylo.” Looking down at her hands, she watched Kylos who linked his fingers with her.
„You know, most werewolf’s have a special someone out there and when they see them they immediately know, that this is the person they belong to.“ he mumbled with a small smile since he noticed Y/Ns blushing cheeks.
„That day on the fair I already had smelled your scent in the crowd and when our eyes met while you were waiting in line, it felt like a lightning hit my heart and I knew that I needed to win you over… so I ...uhm…“
„Explicit targeted Hux in the Horror House?“ Y/N asked knowingly with a chuckle.
„Yeah… and when I could tell that you noticed the chemistry between us…“ suddenly Kylo broke off mid sentence and his head hung low.
Feeling Y/Ns small hand against his cheek he looked back up.
„I‘m sorry… fuck I‘m such an egoistic asshole…“ he suddenly mumbled and bit his lip that she could already see blood forming around his sharp teeth.
„Hey hey… everything is okay! You‘re not, otherwise I wouldn‘t be sitting here.“ brushing over his plum lips with her thumb, Y/N gently kissed him, tasting his blood on her lips.
„But I marked you, without your consent …“ he whispered regretful.
„M..marked me?“ looking down on her arms she expected to find a small scribble or something and Kylo shook his head for a moment.
„Not like this, Moonshine. The moment I kissed you on that Ferris Wheel I marked you as mine and every time we cuddle I mark you with my scent so others know not to harm or approach you.“ when she listened to him she could see in his face how embarrassed and guilty he felt and wanted nothing more to just sooth him.
“I knew that kiss was too good to be true ...” Y/N dramatically whispered while laying her hand on her heart, which made Kylo lightly shake his head with a smirk.
„So… we are basically werewolf married?“ was the next thing she asked and Kylo looked surprised at her grinning face.
„A..aren‘t you angry at all?“
„Of course I‘m angry!“ getting a hard punch against his chest he flinched.
„But I‘m so much more relieved, that you are okay now and that I won't lose you. Besides, now I can learn to handle this situation better. Just … let me have a bit of time to comprehend all of this.“
„Of course anything you want!“ he breathed before hugging her tightly, which made her chuckle.
“Good, because I want lots of pampering the next few days for my poor heart!” laying her arms around his neck, she pulled him back onto the mattress so they could cuddle a bit more this morning. Something they really needed after this stressful night.
“So … if I'm your mate, why did that girl call me your pet?” Y/N mumbled while playing with his hair.
“Uhm … right… there is something else I should inform you about ...” looking up at her, she already noticed the red tips of his ears.
“Werewolf´s can fall in something like a … well a rut...”
“So you will be having werewolf periods?” she giggled.
“I see you find all of this reaaaal funny now, huh?” with a grin he leaned over her to silence her giggles with his lips.
“And what has this to do with the pet thing?” he couldn't believe how innocent she still looked up at him.
For a moment he was too distracted to continue his sentence then Y/N had started to let her fingernails brush through his beard.
“If I continue… will your leg start twitching?” starting to giggle again, Kylo could only shake his head with a grin.
“No, it will not… well maybe in my wolf form.”
“Seems like we have a lot to test it out then…. So, the pet thing?” Changing back to the subject, Y/N gently caressed his cheek.
“Right… well when somebody doesn't have a mate, or rather doesn't want one and they fall into their rut, they hold themselves a pet who helps them with their rut… or for werewolf ladies, help them with their heat.”
“So … they just use each other for sex?”
“I guess so, I never considered it.” shrugging with his shoulders he let his head rest on her chest.
“What does that mean for us?”
“For us, it means to do the total opposite… Otherwise, we would end up with pups. Since it's a basic instinct thing to keep the heritage going werewolf males are highly potent at that time.”
“Pups?” she suddenly asked excitedly.
“Not that kind of Pups, Moonshine. Werewolf babies.”
“You call them pups?! Gosh that sounds so cute….” She could only mumble excited.
“Do you find everything cute now about me being a werewolf?”
“Well, I find you cute… and it is kind of a whole package deal.” pushing herself off the mattress, she pressed a quick kiss on his lips before crawling out of the comfortable bed.
“Hey hey… where are you going?” almost falling out of the bed, Kylo quickly held onto her wrist.
“Just bringing the tablet and plates back. I thought I let you rest a bit more.” ruffling through his hair, he already followed her out of the bed.
“No resting needed. Besides, you´re the only cure I need.” pulling her back by her hips, he slowly started to kiss along her neck, before she send him to the bathroom.

''Ah, that belongs into the living room'' you tell the movers and they nod at you.
You've lived your whole entire life in a high rise city, where theres constantly something going on. With the years passing by, the stress of trying to function in a system that forced you to think about your value as a human being, based on how productive were /how much money you can made, caught up to you.
So when you found about the small town named Silverdell you instantly packed your stuff and got ready to leave. Of course your mother opposed, saying that moving so far away from the family, to a small town that barely made it on the map was just dangerous. Nothing could change your mind so you proceeded with the moving, but you had to promise her to call her at least four times a week.
The weird thing though was that at first, you couldn't find the town. For some reason no matter who you asked for directions, they'd tell you that they never heard of that place and that you should ask someone else. Finally after driving for a few days through the midwest you finally arrived in silverdell, only to find the truck that had your belongings already standing in front of your house.
''You know'' you turn around to face the man thats standing next to you smoking a cigaret ‘’I’ve been wondering how that truck arrived here before me, considering that i couldn’t find this town’’
The man, who goes by the name of sam, chuckles. He’s a man of average height with a full beard and wild hair that lowkey reminds you of a pirate. ‘’that happens to every newcomer’’ he takes a long drag  of the cigaret ‘’you wont find silverdell until the town accepts you’’
You furrow your brow ‘’accept? as in the town council accepting you?’’
Sam shakes his head ‘’Silverdell has a mind on its own, no one can know about it or leave and come as they want without its approval’’
‘’so you have to send a letter to let them know you're leaving for a certain amounts of days?’’
‘’Nope'' Sam answers '' it will know’’
With furrowed brows you look away. His answer is confusing, sure he earlier said that silverdell has its own mind but its not like its actually alive, or even sentient. Your'e sure the reason why you couldn't find the town was because you're bad with directions.
‘’Oh please that one belongs into the kitchen, careful it has kitchen utensils inside.’’ You say to a young mover.
The blasting of the siren is so loud you jump out of your skin. Panicking you turn around to look up at the sky, where the sun is hanging low in the horizon and the blue hue has turned red.
‘’Whats going on?’’ you turn to sam with wide eyes.
Sam on the other hand, his expression is still the same, almost as if he knew that would happen and was counting down the seconds. He presses the cigarette against the fence to put it out ‘’The headless rider is about to come out’’
Slightly annoyed you look at the burnt mark of your wood fence before turning back to sam ‘’he what?’’
‘’No time to talk, first let’s get into the house’’ he ushers you towards the house where you see that all the other movers are already inside, peaking their head out of the door waiting for you two to enter.
''Wait whats going on, and why are you all in my house?'' you ask bewildered and shut the door behind you. Walking into the living room you see various movers sitting on the unfurnished floor while unpacking  your boxes.
Embarrassed you walk up to them. ''please you don’t have to do that i can do that on my own’’ you scratch your cheek
‘’Don worry’’  one of the boys answers. ‘’Until the night rider is gone we have nothing to do anyways , might as well help you unpack’’
‘’Who’s the night rider?’’ you ask
Sam whose standing by the windows, closes the curtains and turns around to face the you all with a grim expression on. ‘’The headless rider is a being you shouldn't talk or think about’’
The boy whose the closest to you, and spoke up earlier, rolls his eyes ‘’there he goes again’’ and turns around to look at you again ‘’ theres a tale amongst the elder that the headless rider is a being that eat’s human souls and sometimes their body too but there hasn’t been such an incident in over two hundred ears’’ he explains and stretches his hand towards you ‘’anyways i’m jun, don’t worry about sam he's an old grim man who thinks death is lurking on every corner of this town’’
Jun looks around your age. He has dark honey colored skin with almost waist long black hair. The sleeves of his shirt are rolled up, showing an intricate tattoo on the right arm.
‘’I’m Y/n’’ you take his hand into yours and shake it ‘’but back to the headless rider’‘
‘’Ah yes’’ jun counters ‘’if you go by folklore then the night rider is the harbinger of death but if you go by what towns folk say then he’s a human eating monster’’
You raise your eyebrows at that
‘’Every sunset the rider comes out of the forest, holding a lit torch and gallops from one end of the town to the other with creatures from following him, weirdly though it’s always only one direction that he brings them to.  There are some theories that the reason he does that ,is because at sunrise he brings them back, but theres no evidence backing that up ‘’Jun finishes
‘’why has no one ever seen him?how do you even know that he exists? or know about his activities?’’ you ask baffled that the towns folk just believe something wholeheartedly without even having it seen with their own eyes.
‘’Because those who aren’t inside a building the moment the last siren ring, usually go missing the same evening’’ Jun answers with a serious expression
‘’That still doesn’t explain how this tale got spread around’’ you counter ‘’dead men tell no tales’’
Jun just blinks at you for a few seconds before shrugging his shoulders and continues to take items out of the box.
‘’Thats just how it is’’ Sam speaks up ‘’ when the siren rings you hide, when you see angels you ignore them, thats how it has been for decades’’ He faces the small radio thats on the table ‘’in this town its very dangerous to question traditions or rules, you ought to be careful’’ and curbs the knob.
The radio makes a static noise for a few seconds until you hear a bewildered nasal voice speak up
''Yoongi how can you say you don’t believe in them, even though you starred one dead in the eye and showed me a picture of it?''
The movers in your house all chuckle at that
The other person, presumably yoongi ,just sighs deeply almost as he's used and tired of the first host's outbreaks. '' first of all it was around eight feet tall and skinny like a stick figure i thought that was an abstract piece of art , theres no way that was wendigo''
you stop in your tracks and look at the radio in perplex, ‘’a what now?’’ you ask no one in particular.
Sam who sees the look of confusion on your face just shrugs his shoulders, as if to tell you to get used to it
Hoseok just sputters '' man come on we all know what a wendigo looks like , yoongi how stubborn are you?, did you not notice the never ending eyes on its body?’’
‘’I 'mean it did but i was too occupied to not vomit from the stench of  greg’s butchery’’ yoongi counters
‘’God that store should be banned to serve people, i’m pretty sure he uses inhuman creatures to- hold on why were you even near that place?’’
''Clearly to not buy meat Hoseok'' yoongi answers ‘’i was just taking a stroll when i found it standing by the butchery’’
‘’Wouldn’t surprise me if it actually eats the shit Greg sells’’ Hoseok says ‘’but anyways back to reporting, as for no-’’
‘’-as for now no one's dead because we all know to stay inside if you don’t want to be taken by the council for seeing the headless, and i’m putting quotations marks on ''headless'' dear listeners,  rider'’’Yoongi interrupts
‘’Really?’’Hoseok asks ‘’so you think that the headless rider is something that the city council has made up to, i dont’ know , manipulate us?’’
‘’Lets be realistic’’ Yoongi counters ‘’no being can be alive without a head, even vampires are known to die if you cut their head off’’
‘’chickens do though’’ Hoseok continues ‘’like they'll continue to run around, which is frankly creepy as hell’’
‘’The minute you separate the brain from the neck, just like in humans, you’re going to get tremendous movement of the limbs, please did you not pay attention in biology class?’’
‘’Firstly i majored in art’’ Hoseok answers ‘’secondly everything that happened before college i have no memory of, hell i don’t even remember half of the shit from college.’’
‘’Thats sad’’ Yoongi states
‘’Anyways’’ Hoseok deviates from the topic ‘’as Yoongi said there are no reports of anyone gone missing this week, besides old Berta's cat but thats nothing new.’’
‘’It really isnt’’ Yoongi continues ‘’after this ad we'll open up the lines so please listeners stay tuned’’
While the ad is playing, you faintly hear the sound of the siren go off again but this time only for a few seconds. worriedly you look over to the window and see that another mover, this time a woman,  is pulling aside the curtain very slowly almost as if she's expecting a monster's face instead of hers to appear in the reflection. After inspecting the outside for a few seconds she finally turns around and gives the people in the room, that are watching her ,the thumbs up.
‘’Alright then’’ Jun says , stands up and stretches himself.
With him standing there in that pose you notice how well build jun is which adds more to his attractiveness and your’e just a little bit envious on how good he looks.
Jun notices you looking at him with your head tilted and with a slight pout and raises an eyebrow.
‘’Do you work out to have a figure like that?’’ you ask
Jun lets his arm fall down and runs one hand through his long thick hair ‘’oh hell no, this job is already working me out ,going to a gym would kill me’’ he laughs ‘’its all genetics’’
‘’Oh’’ you hum ‘’you sure are blessed’’
jun strikes a ridiculous pose that probably a character from Jojo's bizarre would do ‘’i know right?’’
Shaking your head you laugh and turn to the others who are still in the living room  ‘’thank you for helping me unpack’’
A large hand lands on your shoulder and you turn your head to see sam smiling at you ‘’no problem , thank you for letting us into your house otherwise we'd be dead meat’’
‘’Lets go’’ Sam hollers and some of the movers come out to the hallway, you didn’t even notice them going into your bedroom.
‘’The bed is set up’’ The man standing at the entrance of the living room, says and gives you a big smile.
You smile and bow slightly in thanks and the movers slowly trickle out of your house .
‘’Dont forget to tune in to the  community radio, they often announce stuff from the city council’’ sam says as he standing in the doorway ‘’ but dont worry if you forget it will turn on itself’’ he laughs and you just furrow your brow.
As you bud him goodbye you notice another figure standing next to you and you turn your head to see jun.
''Hope you don’t mind that i ripped a paper off but heres my number, lets hang out or go shopping or something, i feel like we'd be good friends’’ Jun hands you a piece of paper
Usually you're not one to take numbers from men's, since a lot of them , if not almost all, have a hidden agenda.  Which you don’t feel that Jun currently has, the feeling you get from him is more of a theatrical person thats always dramatic. You know, like, laying in a field of roses after your crush got asked out by someone else- type of person.
Basically hilarious.
So you accept the small piece of paper and smile at him ‘’sure , i'll text you, might take a while though because i first have to get used to this place’’
‘’No problem’’ Jun waves his hand dismissively ‘’if you got any questions though just text me i'll help ya’’  and walks out of your house , waving his hand with a big smile on his face.
Chuckling slightly you close the door and walk down the hallway into your bedroom.
You truly are grateful that the movers helped you unpack and put your furniture together, because you really wouldn't know how to without getting confused because you're so bad at following instructions. Well its not like Ikea makes it easy to follow and they keep giving people extra assets that just end up frustrating everyone who buys the furniture
The big queen sized bed takes up most of the space in your room but you don’t mind that, at least you're able to have one not like when you used to live in the big city , where the apartments were narrow but expensive.
besides the bed and various boxes that contain clothes there really isn't anything in the bedroom yet. The emptiness makes you slightly uneasy and you're overcome with the feeling of panic and dread. It’s the type of emotion you get after the excitement and adrenaline is gone, your’e left with uneasiness and panic thats slowly seeping yet throbbing from your chest as if you have a hole where your heart is supposed to be. For whatever reason you feel like you're back to being 18, back to the kid who kept getting panic and anxiety attacks over everything,  back to the kid who never lived without a family , yet alone in  another city.
That emotion over comes you so strongly, that for a second you feel like the walls are closing on you and you're getting choked. You shake your head and slap your cheeks a few time, before letting your hands fall down and almost run into the bathroom.
You slam the door open and in two quick long strides you're standing in front of the sink. Your hands are trembling as you reach for the faucet and turn it. The water feels cold underneath your finger tips and you gather some of it onto your palms before leaning down and splashing it onto your face. The coolness of the water a little bit takes the panic away but its still lingering in your chest.
You step away from the sink and lower yourself to the floor ,where you wrap your arms around your legs with your head hanging between your knees. For the next 20 minutes you're slowly rocking yourself from side to side , while taking in deep regular breaths.  It’s a technique you learned online a while ago and has up to now proven to be useful.
As you finally have calmed down , you slowly get up from the floor and see your reflection in the mirror. Your hair is messy, sticking up in different directions, your complexion is slightly green, which you think has to do with the fluorescent lighting if anything, and you turn away.
You walk out of the bathroom, down the hallway back into your bedroom.  You open one of the boxes that has clothes written on it and take out a shirt. Not even bothering to look for pants , you get changed , open up another box that has the blanket and pillows inside, and throw them on the bed before getting onto it.  You remember that your phone fell earlier and lean down to pick it up, scroll through your podcast app before finally deciding on which episode to listen to. You put the phone right next to your head and just a few seconds later you're out like a light.
⤑ ⤑ ⤑ ⤑
Closing the door behind you , you take a deep breath. Yesterday night was , well to say, horrible. You've always had anxiety issues , not in the way that you have trouble talking to people or talk in public , its more that once you're left alone you get the so-called "what-next thoughts". Which always plays out the worst case scenario that could happen to you. Meaning you instantly realize how insignificant your existence is and that if you died right now, it would take weeks for anyone to notice. You've been getting help for that though. Before you moved to silverdell you doctor gave you a prescription so that you could get it refilled at the pharmacy.
which is where you're currently headed to. Silverdell is a beautiful town. Alongside the street there are trees ,which leafs already have turned brown and orange. The air is so crispy to the point where if it wasn’t so sunny you'd think it might snow at any time.
A breeze of cold air blows and you tighten the scarf around your neck. It’s getting close to the end of september and the streets already smells of cinnamon and mulled wine. As you're enjoying the view you notice a trail of kids running past you while giggling and shoving each other, and you smile.
You've always liked working with children, they hold a lot of freshness and innocence , live in their own little creative bubble , and yet are very understanding of a lot of things that parents be overreacting about. The only reason why they then later on sometimes turn out  to have a bad attitude / personality is because of the way they were raised. They subconsciously tend to soak the behaviors in their environment  ,up like sponges, not even realizing that those behaviors aren't socially acceptable. Thats why you became a teacher, to at least lead the kids in the right path but also protect them from the cruelty of the world and society.
Speaking of school, tomorrow will be your first day as a teacher in silverdell. You're slightly nervous but excited, you just hope that your coworkers are nice and not demons disguised as humans like at the last school you worked at.
You shake your head at that thought, you'll cross the bridge when you get to it.
‘‘god please let me find the pharmacy’‘ you silently pray and take out your phone , according to google maps its only a few meters away from you
Turning around the corner you finally arrive at the pharmacy. It’s a small white store that has mint colored decorations, you also spot various pot, plants, around the entrance that gives the store a welcoming feeling.
Walking up to the entrance, you see that one of the plants is a cactus. When you arrive you bend down to inspect it. It’s a huge dark green cactus that has  multiple vertical lines going down the round figure with needles sticking out. At the top there is a hole, you're not really sure if its an actual hole or if its just an illusion that was created by the lighter color, but you see that there is where the most needles are gathered.
Out of curiosity and impulse you reach out and softly lay a finger on the plant, to which you are, to no ones surprise, stung by a needle. You straighten up while clutching your hand to your chest  and look at your hand. you press the finger together to see a tiny drop of blood coming out of the wound and sigh.
Shaking your head you let your arm fall down, give the plant a last glance before entering the pharmacy.
At the counter stands a woman that seems to be in her forties. Her hair is tied into a braid with stray strands framing her face that has a warm yet gentle expression on as she works on some documents.
She lifts up her head as the little door bell rings for the second time when the door closes behind you.
‘’Oh my’’ She says with a surprised expression ‘’are you new in town?’’
''Is it that obvious?'' you ask bashfully and walk up to the counter
‘’Not at all dear’’ she smiles ‘’its just that this town is quite small so we all know each other, but anyways how may i help you?’’
‘’Right’’ you answer and take out the prescription from your wallet and hand it to her, alongside with your insurance card ‘’i need a refill of my medication’’
‘’Coming right up’’, she takes the card from you, puts it on the table before disappearing in the backroom.
You look around while waiting for her to come back, the inside of the store is just as lovely as the outside. The walls are stacked with various medicine but you notice the same minty color peeking out behind the shelves. The air is very clean, almost biting with the disinfectant still lingering in the air, and for a moment you regret forgetting to take your mouth mask with you. Its not like you're asthmatic but strong smells usually give you a migraine , and using a mask usually helps to dull it down to a slow throbbing.
‘’Here we go’’ The pharmacist says while walking back to the counter, scans your insurance card and furrows her brows as she looks at the computer display.
‘’Is something wrong?’’ you ask. You've paid your insurance bill so there shouldn't be any problem but sometimes the card doesn't function or doesn't get accepted by the pharmacy and you really hope that that isn't the case today.
‘’Oh no no’’ the pharmacist laughs ‘’i just forgot to wear my contact lenses today so i had a bit of trouble reading the display’’
you sigh in relief
‘’But’’ she continues ‘’i just saw that your doctor has written in the data that these medications have to be taken continuously’’ she hands you back your card and the medications. ‘’if they're finished just come back and i will refill them again’’
‘’will do’’ you answer and put the medication into your purse, bid the nurse goodbye and walk out of the store.
The minute you're out of the pharmacy you stop in your tracks. You're not sure if you just imagined that but when you bid her goodbye her smile looked weirdly large for her face and for a second you thought you saw branches ,that looked like antlers ,growing out of her head.
Slowly you turn back and see the pharmacist, typing something on the computer looking normal and you furrow your brows, turn back to the road.
‘’What in the hell’’you mutter and continue walking towards the mall thats quite close to the drug store.
.....
As you're walking past various stores, an unimaginable stench makes it way to you and the urge to vomit is so strong that you slam your hand to your mouth and turn away for a second. The odor is one of a corpse decaying, well you don’t actually know what a corpse smells like but you're pretty sure it would be similar to this.
Turning around you face the way you were talking towards too and frown. On the left side of the building stands in bold red, almost blood like, letters '' Gregs Butchery''
''They weren't wrong about the smell '' you think and hurriedly walk, no  run past the building into the big grocery store thats two stores away from the flower shop and the ''butchery''
The grocery store is just like any other.  Worn out regals stacked against the washed out yellow walls ,while in the background a remix of an eighties city funk song plays.
‘’God that was disgusting’’ you mumble and wipe your mouth with the sleeve of your hoodie. You take out your phone and reach over to the stack of baskets thats right next to you, and take one.
looking at the shoppings list you made in the notes app , you subconciously bite your lip and walk further into the store.
...............
You're looking at your phone again, not for notifications or anything, just checking if the items in the basket match the ones on the list. Which they do ,but you have a feeling that you earlier forgot to write down something important that you need but cant remember what it is.
‘’garbage bags?’’ you mumble ‘’no i - ouf-’’ With all the thinking you're doing you aren't even paying attention to your surroundings and walked straight into something, or somebody.
You take a step back and rub your nose thats stinging slightly '' my bad'' and look up. The first thing you see is black, a black thats so dark where if someone shone a flashlight at, whatever is in front of you, the light would not be reflected. It’s almost as if the void has manifested itself somehow in this shop. The second thing you notice is that the being standing in front of you has the thousand upon thousands of branch like looking bones growing out of it , how you even missed something so grotesque looking, is baffling , but then again this is you we're talking about.
The being turns its body around and you see that its face is empty of facial features. Theres not even a slight dent or shadow of a nose or mouth that could indicate that it’s wearing a mask. Slowly the creature tilts is head, almost as if it’s wondering why you approached it, and leaves without a word.
Not like it could say anything without a mouth anyways
You on the other hand have already astral projected into another dimension.This whole interaction is so surreal to you, that for a second for a second you think you're on mtv's candid camera show, and that this whole thing is just a set up.
You come back to your senses when you feel a hand on your arm and jerk in surprise.
‘’dazed ain’t you?'' the woman next to you chuckles ‘’everyone is when they see they see an angel for the first time’’
‘’Huh?'' you turn your head towards the woman and blink a couple of times  ‘’excuse me , a what now?’’ She’s a plump 5′2 tall woman with amber skin and undercut and a gummy smile that makes her eyes disappear into crescent forms when she laughs. On the other side of her’s shes holding a hand of a roughly ten year old child thats boredly starring into nothingness , probably waiting for her mother to finish so that they can go home.
The fact though, that she called the ominous being an angel is baffling because to you it looks more like something that jumped out of h.p lovecrafts book.
‘’An angel’’ she shakes her head ‘’they're very nice, they always help me with any chores or escort luna home, and despite the fact that theyve lived here forever people still ignore their existence’’
‘’but thats not how angels look?’’ you quietly retort not wanting to seem disrespectful
The  woman chuckles again and pats you on the arm ‘’what you know as angels is what society taught you with no actual evidence of them ever looking like that’’
''But the bible-''
‘’The bible described them as terrifying which they are’’ she points at the angel thats at the counter waiting for the cashier to ring their stuff up, which he isn’t cause when you look closer you see that the magazine the cashier is holding is slightly crumpled and shaking , probably out of fear.
‘’also it has been translated into other languages so many times that by now half of was originally was written is lost in translation’’ she continues
You tilt your head ‘’so basically everything i know is a lie?’’
‘’No no, not everything is just that in this town, the laws of nature and society don’t apply’’
Great, what type of town did you move into. Yesterdays fiasco was already weirder than anything you've experienced and you kinda swept it under the rug. but this? this is something that even a skyscraper cant hide, and obviously the emotions you're feeling  shows on your face because the black woman bursts out laughing.
‘’Im sorry’’ you apologize flustered not wanting to offend her and come off as uptight
‘’No need to apologize’’'' she says and waves her hand ‘’newcomer’s reaction are always funny to watch but you're the first one who didn’t run away’’
''yeah one day that will be the death of me'' you think and smile wryly at her.
‘’I have to go’’ the woman continues ‘’try to greet the angels once in a while ,theyre harmless’’
You give her a tight lipped smile and nod. The woman chuckles for the last time and walks off , towards the angel whose still at the counter apparently waiting for her to come pay since the cashier is still ignoring the being.
You shake your head and sigh again, glance back to the counter for the last time before proceeding with grocery shopping.
⤑ ⤑ ⤑ ⤑
‘’We're so glad to have you in our team’’ the dean says as you're walking down the school hallway. The dean is a elderly short baldheaded man with round glasses. He's wearing a suit thats a little baggy on him but it gives him character. He kind of reminds you of popeye but with a softer , creakier voice.
It took you some time to find the school, since google maps seems to not always work it took which gave you the same problem you had yesterday  when you were looking for the pharmacy. You'd think for such a small town it would be found easily , which it wasn't because it took you around forty minutes to find the facility. Its located on the other side of the town, which in your opinion is just unethical and slightly annoying.
Whoever the founder was of silverdell clearly wasn't thinking logically, it would be way more proficient if the school was in in the middle where it would take the same amount of time for anyone to reach it
‘’I'm excited to be working here’’ you reply and smile down at the dean who just, not chuckles but makes a similar sound to it.
‘’Let me introduce you to the other teachers’’ he says as you two come to stop in front of a dark wooded door and opens it.
The room is pretty normal. Various abstract drawings are hanging on the eggshell white walls giving the place a slightly modern feeling. In the middle of the room theres a long table placed along side with books and other items. On the left side, the side you're actually standing in, is a small kitchen that has a coffee machine and freshly washed cup and glasses.
‘’Oh?’’ a honey voice speaks up and you turn your head to the person you think it came from. ‘’Who do we have here?''
The voice that you just heard belongs to possible one of the most beautiful human beings you have ever seen in your life. He has midnight black hair where one side is falling into his face while the other side is slicked back. Thick plump lips that are stretched into a smile ,revealing a row of pearly white teeth. He's not particularly tall, you're pretty sure you're taller than him but then again you're taller than most women, but you see from the outfit he's wearing he's well build.
Honestly he's so beautiful its like god took his sweet time making him, plus he's sending you a smile thats so bright you want to shield your eyes, it’s like you're looking at the sun.
‘’Didn’t hear that there would be someone new’’ another low voice speaks up and your eyes wander to the person thats standing right next to him. He's a tall man that looks around your age with strawberry blonde dyed hair, thats slightly hanging in his face. He has a strong yet straight nose and thin lips alongside with big doe eyes that makes him look even younger than he already is. You already have the feeling that out of the two, he's the slicker one.
The black haired boy stretches his hand towards you ‘’i’m Park jimin''
You take his hand into yours and for a second you notice how long your fingers are compared to his but thats ought to happen with your height. ‘’Y/n’’ you retort and give him a firm shake before letting his hand go.
‘’Jeon jungkook’’ The strawberry blonde man says not even bothering to shake your hand as he's preoccupied with twirling the volleyball on his finger like a basketball.
Jimin just sighs at Jungkook’s retort, turns around and slaps the ball off ‘’we're not in college anymore where are your manners?’’ he scolds
Seeing Jungkook's expression you hold your laughter in. His lips are pursed but the look in his eyes sell him out that he's planning to pull a prank on the shorter man. Obviously jimin notices the look and slaps him on the arm to which jungkook just grins before turning around to you with an outstretched hand
‘’Again'' he starts ''i’m Jeon Jungkook ''
you nod ‘’nice to meet you’’
''Which class are you teaching?'' Jimin asks and crosses his arms
''1A'' The dean speaks up and you jump in surprised. You didn’t even notice him joining you three with a cup of coffee in his hand. ‘’speaking of’’ he continues and turns towards you'' classes start soon i hope you understood everything but if you have questions don’t be afraid to ask mister Park and mister Jeon.’’
Jimin and Jungkook both smile at you and you nod ‘’will do’’
‘’Alright then’’ Jimin says and yawns ‘’1A is right next to my classroom i'll show you the way’’
‘’Thanks’’ you smile, bid the dean and jungkook goodbye before leaving the breakroom.
‘’Are you nervous?’’ Jimin asks as he's walking next to you down the hallway
''More excited'' you answer ‘’i’m good with kids but i just hope everything goes okay’’
Jimin turns his head ‘’you just moved here right? what do you think of silverdell?’’
carefully you mull over your words, not sure if its appropriate or too soon to tell him about the supernatural beings and weird customs that you've come across. ‘’it will take some time for me to get used to this town’’ you answer him instead.
Jimin laughs, a laugh that sounds like angels are singing and you smile too ‘’well thats to be expected, but don’t worry everyone settles down pretty quick'' He stops in front of a classroom. ''this is 1A, i’m right next door if you need something’’ and bids you goodbye.
The classroom is just like any normal middle school classroom is supposed to look like. Since it’s not the start of a new school year, you see that the decorations on the wall probably were made by the students and you smile.
You walk up to the teachers desk thats right by the window and put your bag down and take your items out. You're so lost in your thoughts as you organize the your items on the table you don’t even hear the bell ring.
The sound of the door slamming against the wall and the chatter of high pitched voices rip you out of your thoughts and you look up to see students walking into the classroom. At the sight of you at the desk they stop in their tracks and whisper to each other.
‘’Good morning’’ you greet them and some greet you back while others just nod in silence as they walk towards their desks. After all the students are sitting at their desk you walk to the blackboard and write your name on it.
‘’'I'm your new teacher’’ you turn around and face the students ‘’i just recently moved here from the city and i have to say i’m surprised in how much greener it is here, meaning we could once go hiking in the forest’’  you clap your hands together
The moment those words leave your mouth the entire classroom gets quiet. The eyes of the kids are almost glued to you in a creepy way, the expressions on their faces are kind of empty.
A chubby boy with black hair raises his hand ‘’ma'am no one ever goes into the forest’’
Oh boy , this is exactly what you feared, that the kids would be just as weird about the town as the adults are. So instead you give them a tight lipped smile ‘’why?’’
‘’Because the monsters will eat you’’ another student says , the tone indicating that you should already know about the taboo.
‘’Or the headless rider’’ the same chubby boy finishes.
This is the third time you're hearing about the headless rider. His existence still makes no sense to you, how can everyone be afraid of him and tell horrible tales on how he kills humans but yet no one has actually ever interacted with the said being.
‘’Marissa did see the headless rider once’’ a girl speaks up and almost every student turns around to look at her with a scornful expression on their face.
''Whose Marissa?'' you ask and tilt your head.
‘’Someone that has turned into a memory’’ the girl from earlier answers, whom you recognize to be the daughter of the woman from the store you met few days ago. Just like her mom she has brown skin, dark hair and intelligent looking eyes, that seem to know way too much than what a ten year old should know.
‘’Alright then’’ you clap your hands together to get the attention of the students ‘’lets play two truths and a tale to break the ice so i'll get to know you better.’’
⤑ ⤑ ⤑ ⤑
‘’Goodbye ma'am''! the chubby boy, who's name you learned is Evan, says and waves as he leaves the classroom.
‘’Bye!’’ you smile and wave back. The moment the door slams shut your hand instantly falls down and you sigh deeply. ''Well that was a train wreck'' you think and gather the books together and walk over to the regal thats by the wall and put them in neatly. You walk back to your desk pick up your bag not before flickering the light off and walk out of the classroom.
As you're walking down the hallway you see a tiny baldheaded figure that couldn't belong to anyone else but the dean. Who apparently saw you coming because he stops walking and wait for you to catch up to him.
''Y/n'' he greets cheerfully '' how was your first lesson?''
''Good evening'' you greet back '' it was good actually'' you finish. The dean just chuckles and starts walking down the hallway with you following him.
‘’say’’ you start ‘’what happened to Marissa?’’
The dean turns his head to face you, anger mixed with fear clouds his eyes for a second before returning back to normal ''someone thats better not to be spoken of if you don’t want anything happen to you'' he answers.
At the ominous answer the hairs on your neck raise and you resist the urge to take a step back. The way he worded it its like the town will kill anyone who questions their traditions or goes against the rules, plus his whole demeanor screams that you shouldn't ask any more questions.
''A-alright'' you stammer and the dean sends you a tight lipped smile in return.
'' The dean turns around in the doorway he’s standing in ‘’i'll see you tomorrow’’
‘’Have a nice evening’’ you reply and bow slightly. When the door slams shut you sigh and put a hand on your chest, feeling the rapid heartbeat underneath your fingertips. You adjust the bag strap on your shoulder and walk down the hallway towards the entrance and out of the facility.
When you're outside you notice that the shun is already starting to set. That isn't surprising considering that its fall and the days are getting shorter but at the same time that means that you'll either have to hurry back home since the sun sets around at five pm. The other option would be you waiting at school till the coast is clear but considering todays conversation you0d like to spend as little time as possible with the dean. Especially since now it seems that he's keeping an eye out on you.
You shake your head and look up at the sky.Azure blue has now turned into spectacular colors of orange and red mixed with purple, its so beautiful that you take out your phone and take a picture of it. Satisfied with how the picture turned out you send it to your mom and put it back into your pocket.
‘’I should buy a bike’’ you mumble and continue to walk home.
..............
''Hey mom'' you greet your mother and wipe your hands on the towl thats hanging at the wall right by the kitchen sink.
‘’Y/nn dear are you alright?’’ your mother asks loudly sounding frantic.
You grimace and hold the phone away from your ear ‘’i am, why did something happen?’’
‘’What do you mean? , you sent me that ominous picture with no text whatsoever nor did you call me ever since you arrived at wherever you are’’ you mom rants
You know your mom has only your best interests at heart, ever since she found out about your anxiety it’s like she herself developed it too with how much she worries about you being alone. Which on one hand is reassuring but on the other you're already twenty eight and kind of need to venture out in the world on your own.
''ominous picture? what are you talking about? i sent you a picture of a sunset'' you retort and furrow your brows
‘’sunset?’’ your mom's voice pitches up a few octaves ‘’all i got was a picture of a black cracked background with the letters '' if you did, you wished you didn't’’
‘’oh go-’’
‘’and where are you?’’ your mom continues ‘’iv’e googled the town name but nothing showed up, i even asked my coworkers and no one knows about silverdell’’
''Silverdell has a mind on its own, no one can know about it or leave and come as they want without its approval''
you grimace, hoping that whatever Sam said was just some good o'l superstition ,but up to now  with everything that you have experienced, it looks like thats not the case
‘’mom seriously i’m safe, i’m not being held hostage by some mobster or anything like that, why it doesn’t show up on google though i don’t know.’’ you say , trying to calm her down. Theres no way you're going to tell her about the towns strangeness , knowing how she is she'd probably get into her car while she's talking to you and drive off, ending up lost in the middle of nowhere.
Your mother hums on the other side of the phone, by the tone of it you know that she's not fully convinced but will believe you for now. She then continues to talk about her annoying coworker, thats always trying to one upper her in everything and how she wants to screw her head off.
While she's rambling off you're finishing drying the dishes and put the back in the cupboard, occasionally humming in agreement to let her know that you're still listening. Reaching over you take the other towel and dry your hands, put it back on the wall before turning towards the living room. You notice that the blinds are still open and a wave of panic comes over you. you dash over to the other room, of course not without you stumbling over furniture, and quickly close the blinds.
Your heart is beating wildly against your ribcage and it takes you a second to calm down.
''Sweetie are you okay?'' your moms voice comes out of the phone that you’re still holding
‘’uhm yeah!’’ you heave ‘’just stumbled, fell almost on my face’’
your mother sighs deeply ‘’you were always the clumsy one’’ and you just chuckle. Though it quickly fades as you start hearing noises coming from the ceiling. your eyes widen and you jerk your head upwards . The dull sound of something similar to heavy footsteps becomes louder and louder and you furrow your brows. ''are they trying to break my roof?'' you ask yourself and hold the phone closer to your ear.
‘’Mom let me call you back, someones knocking no the door’’ you interrupt your mother, hoping that she doesn't hear your voice shaking.
‘’sure’’ she reluctantly answers ‘’'i'll talk to you later, and remember call the police if something fishy is up’’
‘’Will do’’ you say and hang up ‘’ the police might not help in this situation''
You jump when you hear the static of the radio ripping, slowly you turn around and tilt your head sideways. ''Did you just turn on by yourself?'' you ask out loud , but the radio doesn’t answer instead it continues to flip through channels until you hear a familiar voice coming out of the speakers.
''dear listeners we just received a report stating that  the roof inspectors have already begun their work, we would like to remind you to leave a plate of cookies or milk with honey on the porch as a thank you gift. Another reminder would be that you should absolutely not look directly at the workers as they like to be unknown to the public. Not meeting the criteria will have consequences''
''They like to be private?'' the voice you recognize to be yoongi asks '' we're literally broadcasting this to every citizen in silverdell ,how is that private? on top of that they want food'
Hoseok laughs nervously ''lets not trash talk about the roof inspectors ''
''Or what? they're going to break in and kill me?''
''That are dangerous words yoongi'' hoseok chokes out
''Oh don’t give me that look, i’m not planning to have a chat with them all im saying is that its suspicious''  yoongi exclaims
''maybe so but you should know better than to voice out your thoughts considering we're on live broadcast''
You have a sneaking suspicion that that warning is towards you, maybe its just you being paranoid but the sounds coming from the ceiling sound almost impatient? agitated? you're not sure and you don't want to find out.
So you venture back into the kitchen, open the cupboard and take out a plate and a glass. Fill the plate with chocolate chip cookie, not sure if your choice of cookies will fit their taste you reach into the fridge to take out milk. Pour three spoons full of honey into the glass and mix it up all together. You take out a tray, put the dishes onto it and slowly walk to the front door of the house.
Putting down the tray you unlock the door and slowly open it, praying that whatever is making the noise isn't standing in front of your door. Of course mother nature ignores your plea, because nothing ever goes the way you want it to and you stumble back at the sight.
In front of you dangling from the lowest part of the rooftop edge  hangs a long arm that has white fur on it, which lowkey looks like it belongs to a yeti. Its fingers, if you can even call them that, stretch out like its impatiently waiting for you to hand it the tray. With shaky fingers you pick up the tray, avert your eyes and hand it to the worker, trying to not touch it.
It takes the tray from you, makes a sound that could be described as a mixture of a growl and grunt and vanishes.
With wide eyes and a rapid beating heart you close the door and clutch your chest '' what the absolute fuck?!'' you whisper and run to the kitchen.
There you grab the salt and a chair before returning to the front door,  sprinkle salt along at the gap and barricade it by putting the back of the chair underneath the doorknob. Sure the inspector might be able to kill you and you doubt that a little bit of barricade will hold it back but it sure as hell makes your anxious self feel safer.
Quietly you walk down the hallway and switch off the light, before walking into your bedroom and locking the door, hoping that tonight you'll at least be able to sleep.
⤑ ⤑ ⤑ ⤑
‘’Jimin’’ you call out .
Jimin who's sitting at the table reading a book ,that looks like if you tried reading it it would fry the remaining braincells you have, looks up with raised eyebrows. ‘’yes?’’
‘’So’’ you drawl out ‘’i sent a picture of the sunset to someone and apparently the picture they got was different from what the original one, do you know whats up with that?’’
Jimin leans back in the chair and runs a hand through his hair ‘’ honestly we've been having this problem for a few months now, the after school science club is trying to figure out what the problem is.’’
You raise your eyebrows ‘’the who?’’
Jimin waves his hand dismissively '' thats their name don’t ask me how they got it, but they’re really smart though and have saved silverdell many times when we were in a pinch’’'
‘’well did they find out at least something?’’
‘’not really’’ jimin puts a hand on his chin ‘’we just know that silverdell is putting out some sort of high frequented waves that interferes with the phone, theres a theory that it doesn’t want people outside of silverdell knowing about it.’’
The expression on your face currently can be described as one of pure listlessness. Mentally you already clocked out days ago, but mother nature or as in this case; silverdell has it's way of surprising you. Sighing deeply you put one hand on the table and lean against it
‘’you know’’ you start’’ when i first moved here i was in love with the idea of a small town where the environment is beautiful, the people are nice'' you move your arm in a half circle motion ‘’not this’’
‘’How is that our problem’’ a voice says and you turn around to see jungkook leaning against the door frame.
‘’Jungkook!'' jimin scolds and frowns
‘’What?'' jungkook asks and pushes himself away from the door '' isn't that her fault for having high ass expectations? weren't you suspicious that you couldn't find silverdell?’’
‘’In my defense’’ you bristle  ‘’i just thought i was bad with directions ,who would've thought that its because this town is located in the twilight zone’’
Jimin and jungkook both chuckle at that ‘’hats what a lot of newcomers say’’
Picking up the empty cup of coffee you retort '' well maybe something needs to be changed so we don’t all keep repeating the same thing'' and walk over to the sink.
⤑ ⤑ ⤑ ⤑
Its been over a month since you've moved to silverdell. You somehow got used to the weird customs of the town and nowadays you're not even fazed by the angel's anymore. on the contrary you sometimes let the angel's carry your grocery home or you when they don’t fit on the basket of the bike. In the beginning you were quite shocked and afraid ,when the ominous being stood in front of you and reached out of the bag. Which resulted in you screaming out loud in horror thinking that you're going to die. It took one staff member to calm you down , which took quite some time because apparently the angel didn’t realize that you were scared of it , and kept starring at you as if you had the answer to the Da Vinci code.
⤑ ⤑ ⤑ ⤑
‘’I forgot to tell you , you did well today’’ The woman, miss lewis, whose standing at the door says smiling brightly and leaves.
Todays parent teacher conference day and you just had your first meeting. You're so glad that instead of a soccer mom who has a blonde bob and a nasty attitude you got miss lewis. Maybe she noticed that you were nervous otherwise because her whole presence was reassuring. From the smile to her body language nothing indicated that she was being hostile and you look forward to working with her in the future.
Gathering the documents on the table you put them aside and take out another one that has all the information about your student named calypso. Calypso is a smart girl with a peppy attitude and a mouth that can talk forever, yet she never disturbed the class and always hands in her homework so this meeting should be short and go well.
As you're standing up from the chair, the door slams open and you jerk in surprise, letting out an embarrassing squeak. Looking over to the door your’e see a tall woman slumped against the doorway as she's clutching her chest and breathing heavily. The woman is dressed in a black suit and the first button of her white dress shirt is open. Her black hair is cut into a blunt bob with bangs that stop right by the eyes.
‘’I hope i’m not late’’ she heaves
You shake your head and smile ‘’ don’t worry you came just in time''
The unknown woman nods and walks towards you and you notice that she's almost as tall as you are. ''Min yoonji i’m luna’s mother, nice to meet you’’
‘’Y/n’’ you say and take her hand into yours ‘’ and likewise’’
‘’My wife had an emergency so i had to run from work here’’ Yoonji says and sits down
You put a hand on your cheek ‘’i hope its nothing serious’’
Yoonji waves her hand in front of her face ‘’she's just clumsy , i hope she doesn’t’ burn down the kitchen again though’’
You hold your laughter in and turn your head away, not knowing if it’s appropriate to laugh or not but the fact that Yoonji said the word ‘’ again’’ makes it even more comical.
When you hear Yoonji chuckle is when you turn your head back towards her and see her smiling faintly and you can see how much she loves her wife.
‘’So lets get started’’ you say and clear your throat ‘’luna is a very smart student who up to now has always done her homework’’
Yoonji nods
‘’She participates in class , i see no behavioral problems besides her sometimes making remarks towards her friends.’’ you smile and so does Yoonji ‘’what i did notice though is that when it comes to math her way of calculating slightly differs from what i teach her but that can be managed’’
you put the notes down ‘’this would be all, do you have any questions?’’
Yoonji claps her hand together ‘’not a question per se but my wife and i would like to be notified if the class is going on a school trip’’
You nod '' thats mandatory otherwise i wouldn’t be allowed to leave the school ground with the students''
Yoonji then picks up her bag and stands up with you following her actions.
‘’if later on you have any question please feel free to call me or mail me’’ you say and stretch out your hand
Yoonji shakes your hand firmly nods. She opens her mouth to say something but the noise of the classroom door slamming against the wall interrupts her. In the doorway stands a woman that looks ,well to put it nice, like the wicked witch of the west's third sister.
oh boy
‘’Hope you have a nice evening’’ Yoonji says through gritted teeth and lets go of your hand before walking towards the door and giving the other woman a nasty glare.
The woman totally ignores yoonji and walks towards you instead, a scowl on her face as she musters you ‘’cant be even on time huh? did they hire a incompetent teacher this time?’’
You raise your eyebrows, it takes everything in your body for you to not glare at this atrocity of a human being in front of you ‘’actually ma'am you're just early theres a reason why we agreed for you to come at a specific time’’
She just huffs '' well i don’t have the time because i have to pick up Charles in twenty minutes from fencing’’
''why don’t we start then'' you say and point at the table, before sitting down
well looks like it will take longer than twenty minutes.''
..............
After the conference is over you collect the documents and put them on in the drawer. Getting up you look out of the window and see that the sun is already setting and a wave of stress overcomes you. Picking up your bag from the floor you speed walk out of the classroom, not before flickering the light off, and almost run down the hallway towards the entrance of the building.
Thankfully the parking lot for the bikes isn't that far away from the main entrance and you quickly get  onto it and pedal. The sky is already deep red and you can see that in around five to ten minutes it will be completely gone.
You're pedaling so fast that everything is a blur to you, how you haven’t fallen yet is a miracle because lord knows , that everything that could go wrong in a situation , usually does, when it comes to you.
''am i going to make it?'' you ask yourself and sharply cut the corner. Down the road you see a vast grass field and wonder if you should take a shortcut or not. But driving on the grass usually slows one down .but at the same time you cant afford to lose your life just because you aren't on time.
So you drive through the field instead. It only takes a few seconds before your legs become tired of pedaling so hard, to the point where you jump from the bike , hold the handlebar and run.  A few times the bike smacks itself against you but you don’t feel pain due to the adrenaline running through your veins.
Looking at the bike you see that it’s just dragging you down and it literally takes you a second to make a decision. Letting go of the bike makes your heart clench but you continue to run for you life till you finally leave the field and arrive on the street your house is on.
You heave as you take a three second break before continuing to jog down the road. The closer you get to your house though the more everything starts to flicker. Its like reality stopped functioning and your’e in a glitch. Looking around confused you almost stop in your tracks when you see a figure sitting on a black horse thats standing on the opposite side of the street, linear to your house. Its the Headless rider, his body turns towards you ,as black smoke comes out of the cut off neck and forms a question mark.
Your heart drops and your hand comes up shielding the left side of your face and you run even faster before jumping over the fence towards your house
With shaky hands you take out the keys from your purse and open the door before slamming it behind you. Sliding down to the floor you hug your knees as a wave of panic over comes you. You're about 99.9999.2% sure you're about to die today. Theres no way you're going to survive now that the headless rider has noticed you.
With shaky legs you walk into your bedroom and lock the door, praying to every god thats out there that they will bless you with divine protection and that if you do die , it will be at least painful.
⤑ ⤑ ⤑ ⤑
its been two days since you saw the headless rider. To your surprise you actually woke up the next day and on top of that without any injuries, even your house is unscathed! Yet for some reason you cant help but feel like someone has been following you ever since. Its like you keep seeing something flimsy out of the corner of your eye, but its never really in your field of vision.
''im just being paranoid'' you think and grip the bag tighter as you walk out of the grocery store. It’s almost midnight but you were craving some sweets and ramen noodles so of course you went out and bought them.
You're so lost in thoughts that you don’t even notice the tall figure standing in front of you and promptly walk into them. The person, if you can even call them that cause the body is so hard it feels like you walked into a wall, grips your shoulder and steadies you.
'’You rub your nose ''thank-’’ the words die on your tongue as you look up and see that its the headless rider. Now that your’e closer to him you see that his skin is glowing slightly green giving him a frankensteins monster type of look and that his hands are long yet bony.  The smoke moves in slow motion as it comes out of his head and you feel sick to the point of needing to vomit.
‘’Have you seen my head?’’  an ominous voice booms through your skull so loud that you push the headless rider away and clutch your head instead, You just know you'll have a migraine later on.
you look up ‘’can you please try to not scream in my head?’’
''My apologies '' the being says
Slowly you stand up and rub your temples ‘’i haven’t seen your head, i wouldn’t even know how it looks like’’ you turn around and with shaky legs take a step before an arm grabs you. The feeling of dread overcomes you instantly.  His hand is so cold that it seeps through your jacket into your body and you shudder. ''is this what harry potter felt when he was around dementors?''
''Help me find it''  he says , no, demands.
‘’please stop touching me first’’ you manage to say without stuttering and he releases your arm.
‘’What would happen if i refuse?’’
''You don’t want to know'' he answers and you shudder. with the way his neck is leaning sideways you can almost see how if he had a head he'd be cocking it and waiting for your reply, what expression he would have on you can say though.
Between choosing to go with him and come back unscathed or being hunt down and killed by him and other creatures, its only logical that you chose to go with him.
‘’Alright'’’ you say and hold up the bag higher ‘’can i bring this home first though?’’
The headless rider points at the convenient store ''you can also just ask them to put it aside for you''
You furrow your eyebrows at that suggestion ‘’sure..’’ and squint at him. For someone so inhuman he sure does have a suspicious amount of knowledge of how humans work. ‘’ill be right back’’  and walk off
The little bell rings as you walk through the doors and the cashier raises her head ‘’good-’’ the word dies on her tongue as she she's you walking towards her. Her face completely pales and her eyes grow as big as saucers.
00would you be so nice and deposit this for me? an emergency came up and i cant go home right now’’ you ask with a wry smile and she nods . With shaky hand she takes the bag and puts it right behind her on the counter and gives you something thats supposed to look like a smile if it weren't masked with fear.
‘’thank you'' you say , turn around and walk out of the store. What you don’t see is the cashier's eyes following you until she sees you stopping in front of someone else and showing them your empty hands. The other figure nods and you both walk off . In panic mode she grabs the telephone and frantically dials a number, cussing under her breath as she’s waiting for the person to pick up. after the fifth ring she finally hears a click going through the phone and she speaks up
‘’He has her’’
⤑ ⤑ ⤑ ⤑
Standing on the outskirts of the forest you look at the direction where the houses are located ‘’am i hearing sirens?’’ you ask out loud. From what you can see theres no where a house burning, so that either means someone is dying or that there is someone about to give birth
''Not important for us'' the headless rider says and puts a hand on the small of your back. ''let's go'' he says and pushes you forward into the woods.
The forbidden forest is nothing like you imagined, as a matter of fact you don’t even know what you expected but not this.The trees are so close to each other that you can only see the occasional streak of moonlight peaking through through the thick fog. Yet that doesn’t provide enough light for your eyes because you stumble over a root thats twisting on the floor.
Before your face can make contact with so said floor ,the headless rider grabs you by the arm and yanks you up.
''be careful '' he says '' shedding blood will only cause the creatures to come after you''
‘’jesus christ thanks’’ you retort and peel off his fingers ‘’by the way do you have a name? i dont want to keep calling you ''you''’’
the voice hums in your head '' a long time ago i did'' he answers '' a human once used to call me taehyung''
‘’Okay i'll call you that then’’ you say and look up to him ‘’another question though , were you once a human?’’
A deep sound that can be described as a chuckle rumbles from his chest ''never , i’ve been like this since the beginning ''
‘’ou yikes’’  you slap a hand to your mouth , you cant believe you just said that out loud ‘’sorry’’
''it's alright''
You nod and turn around to continue to look at the environment. Theres a dampness alongside with this weird feeling hanging in the air, it ripples on your skin like water making, all the hairs on your arm and neck stand up. This place might have once been full of animals roaming around, but right now its so eerie and empty ,you feel like if depression could manifest itself into something it would be this forest.
You grab Taehyung by the arm and you both stop. looking up, your eyes widen and blood leaves your face. Above you hovering are hooded figures with long boney limps. Their garment fluttering in the non existent wind yet they look so serene , almost as if they're taking a nap. But the longer you stare the more the figures seems to draw in closer
''don’t look at them'' Taehyung's voice rings through your head '' they feed on human souls and with each second passing a piece of your soul gets chipped away''
''Couldn’t you have told me that sooner''  you hiss and grip his arm tighter to the point that your finger nails leave half moon dents in his jacket.
''do not talk any louder, we're not the only ones here'' he warns you instead and you shut your mouth. With every step you're taking you're cursing at the gods and mostly at yourself. You can already hear your mother screaming in horror if she knew what you're doing. She'd probably lecture you about going with a stranger to the forest saying that that is the number one place for murderers to bury their victims bodies and how she raised you to know better.
''Sorry mom''
Taehyung pushes the leaves of the bush aside to reveal a glade. Its surrounded by trees as tall as cathedrals and a strange green light - almost holy - shimmers through the vast canopy of leaves.Giving you the impression that you're underwater. Deafening silence lays over the land and you feel like you're in a video game about to defeat a mid level demon boss.
''where are we going?'' you whisper to taehyung
''the place where all creatures go at sunset''
you furrow your brow ‘’and why do you need me for that?''
thats where my head is buried at for some unknown reason they’ve always been drawn to it, though it has a protective shield that nonhuman being cant enter''
your voice raises a few octaves as you realize that this is a part of his scheme  ‘’did you just lure me into this place so that you can kill me? Don’t tell me you don't actually need my help, you just wanted to eat me because i look what; appetizing to you?’’
Taehyung lifts his hands and one covers your mouth while the other slam chokes you against the bark of a tree ‘’you think very highly of yourself human'' he hisses '' but i do need it and after i received my head i could also leave you here ,since your so adamant about making our location known to every single living organism''
A branch breaks in the background and Taehyung lets go of you.  choking ,you slump against the tree, as you try to get air into your lungs and look up through your teary eyes. Behind taehyung stands a huge creature that looks similar to the angels that usually help you with chores. But unlike the friendly them, this creature looks like it's out for blood. Its mouth opens and a foul smell , that reminds you of corpses and rotting food, waves over to the two of you and you feel sick.
A scream bubbles its way up your throat and before it can leave your mouth , taehyung picks you up bridal style and starts running. Wrapping your arms around his neck, you close your eyes and just hope that he's faster than the creature and that you aren't about to meet your demise
Minutes later he stops and you open your eyes to see that you're on  the top of a hill. Getting out of taehyung's arms with shaky legs you look around.
‘’Wow’’ you say in awe, amazed by how much the forest changes the further you go into it.
You see a river passing through the jungle wide and opaque. The water is so black it might as well be used as a mirror and for a second you're tempted to walk down and touch it .Yet you know better. The river is a sleeping cobra, It lies across the land in smooth seductive curves, singing an unknown song to its viewer, while it hides a myriad of dangers.
The forest seems to have an intelligence of its own, you notice.  An apparent system thats so complex no human would understand, yet it doesn't seem like it would work anywhere else but  here.
A sudden shrill noise, that possibly belongs to the earlier creature, echoes through the forest,  before it quietly settles, and suddenly it feels like a thousand eyes are boring into your back.
They know you're here
''Lets go'' Taehyung says and walks ,no, jogs down the hill.
‘’why don’t you just pick me up and run like you did earlier?'' you ask '' that would be faster''
Taehyung doesn’t need a face for you to know that he's complete done with you for using your three braincells over its capacity ''that would attract too much attention''
‘’You glow green for fucks sake’’ you call out and point at him ‘’we might as well be wearing a big ass sign that says ‘free food’’
Taehyung turns around and stomps towards you and you flinch
''Since you insist''  he says and picks you up and starts running down the hill. Seconds later you two arrive in the valley and he puts you down. ''We're close''
You look up at Taehyung, his whole entire being suddenly gives off the vibe of a predator. Like he's watching your every move and waiting for the perfect chance to come so that he can pounce on you . Goosebumps rise on your arm and neck and you take a step back ''where is it then?'' you ask
Taehyung stretches his arm and points with a long bony finger behind you. Slowly you turn around to see huge fallen logs layered on top of each other forming a triangular shape. Underneath you find a huge pile of fallen leaves and in the middle something thats glowing green.
''I can only accompany you till where the shield is'' Taehyung says and you nod. You don’t like how he said that sentence, its full of hidden agenda and you're not sure if your mind is playing a trick on you , but you swear you felt the blood thirst coming off him. Another thing you notice is the closer you get to the head, the more the shield surrounding the huge logs, starts to glow the exact same green light that also taehyung is covered in.
As you stand right before the shield , your hand comes up and you try to touch it with no avail. Your hand goes straight right through it and your’e just a teensy bit disappointed. ''hold up''  you think and turn around to squint at the being named taehyung ‘’the shield doesn’t exist’’
''it does, i told you only a human can enter it'' taehyung answers patiently and walks up to you, stretches out his hand and touches the shield. sparks start to fly and you cover your eyes.
''see?'' Taehyung says and lets his hand fall down
Instead of answering you start walking up to the log. Its in the worst place ever, not exactly on top of the hill but neither in the valley, just right in the middle. Which is a huge burden to you, the mud keeps sticking to your shoes yet it also makes you stumble multiple times.
You finally reach your destination but now you're heaving heavily and your legs feel like they'll buckle in any seconds. ''God do i have to touch the leaves?'' you murmur in disgust. You dont hate the nature as a matter of fact you like it, thats the whole reason why you even moved out here. That doesn’t mean though, that you want to stick your hands into muddy leaves that probably has all sorts of insects crawling and pick up a decaying head.
Mentally prepping yourself you sigh deeply before reaching into the pile and grabbing the glowing head. The head is just as cold as the body it belongs you and it seeps through your entire being. The longer you hold it, the more flimsy your surrounding begins to look and you have to squint your eyes in concentration so that you don’t fall down.
‘’Here’’ you say as you stand in front of taehyung and hand him the head.
''thank you''  he says and takes it from you and puts it on his neck. Suddenly taehyung starts to glows a green light thats so bright ,that you have to shield your eyes. Few seconds later the light dims down back its usual , glow int he dark slime, state.Despite that you're in awe when you look up and see that the neck is connected to his head, and for the first time you see what he looks like.
Taehyung is beautiful beyond words. Long dark lashes kiss his cheek as he looks down on you.  On the right side theres a mole and he has another one, on the slightly plum yet longish underlip.  dark hair that hangs low enough to touch his beautiful sloped nose as he dips his head lower to be at  your eye height. A smile overtakes overtakes his features and at first you're struck, until you start noticing thousand of eyes starting to glow behind his back. Your eyes widen and you look back at Taehyung who's smile grows into unnatural hideous grin that touches both sides of the head and bears one too many teeth.
you take a step back to which he slowly follows until you stumble over a root and fall down. Taehyung chuckles deeply at your cowering state and bends down.
This is it, this is how you’re going to die, in the forrest surrounded by blood thirsty creatures that are ready to pounce on you in any second. And for a millisecond you’re annoyed at yourself for going into the woods with the dullahan just to meet your demise.
A growl rips you back into reality ‘’'what a foolish human you are Y/n'’ he says and your vision goes black

You Are Not Alone
Tumblr media
GIF NOT MINE
Loki x Reader
Listen to this
Request: Can I request something where the reader is an avenger and also a vampire? But she’s very depressed. She loves her job but she’s getting lonely seeing everyone else with their significant others and she wants to feel loved. Later on Thor brings Loki along to a stark party and he’s bored and irritable until he sees the reader out on the balcony. They end up hitting it off right away and he helps pull her out of her depression.
----
Being around for almost 300 years was cool and all, being able to watch the world change around me. Meeting new people, and new lovers. I was use to change. Everything changed around me for years. But one thing I wasn’t use to, was being with a team of people, like the Avengers. When they learned of my kind actually existing, they wanted to see if they could find us, a vampire.
When they mistakenly found me, in the hospital, stealing blood bags. The person who found me was Bruce Banner. He alerted Tony Stark, and Tony followed me and convinced me to join the team. I only said yes, because I wanted to protect the world I’ve come to love.
---
“So you drink human blood?” The newest member Sam Wilson questioned
“Sam” Steve snapped at him
“What I’m just confused as to why she drinks human blood and lives here, not trying to be rude” He then apologized.
“No it’s okay” I smiled “You’re just curious, that’s all. You should learn on how to communicate.” I joked. “But yes I drink human blood, but I don’t drink from the neck. I drink blood bags. That way I’m not hurting anyone, and I’ve been on a diet. I mostly drink Animal blood, and once or twice every few weeks I drink human blood to stay strong.” I explained while pouring a bag of donated blood into my to-go water bottle.
There was an awkward moment of silence. Sam nodded understanding what I was saying. “So can you control yourself around fresh blood?” He asked
“Yes” I took a sip from my bottle. the normal thing for a vampire was there veins popping and eyes getting darker when drinking blood. “I built a tolerance over the years.” I was okay with answering the questions, I liked when people wanted to know more, it’s not often I could talk about myself truly.
I had been with the team for a little over 6 months. everyone trusted me and I trusted them. I would use my abilities for something good. I liked being able to do things and not have to do it in secrete. I was free to be me. But there was still one thing that bothered me. Even though I was on a team of “outcasts”, I stood apart from them. They trust me but everyone is still a bit uncomfortable with a vampire. When I was in the room, they were on high alert. Jarvis always made sure everyone new when I was coming.
I requested to have my room further away from the rest, which I ended up getting the floor they were working on to make more rooms to myself. I liked it that way, but I was always lonely even in a room full of people I was lonely. I was lonely for a long time.
I watched people fall in love, but I’ve never actually been in love. Human lives didn’t last quite as long as a vampires. So watching the team with their lovers broke my heart. I longed to be loved and in love. Natasha and Bruce, Tony and Pepper, Steve and Sharon, Wanda and Vision, etc. I wished to have what they had.
--
Later that same day, Thor showed up. He said that upon his arrival he will have brought someone that we will all “love” to have. He shoved a tall man into the room. He was wearing a leather green and black robe, his hair was long and black, his blue eyes scanned the room.
“This is my brother Loki.” Thor announced to the room. This was the famous brother of Thor who tried to rule Earth. Supposedly he wanted to redeem himself and wanted to prove himself worthy to Thor. But one of the main reasons he was here was so Thor could keep a close watch on him.
“Just stay out of trouble” Tony snapped at Loki. Thor introduced me and Sam to Loki. I stuck my hand out to shake his.
“I’ve heard so much about you and everyone else.” Loki looked me in the eyes “Lady y/n” He took my hand and kissed it. I was use to this kind of behavior from men, especially in England years ago.  I smiled and bowed my head in respect. Which caught him by surprise, and I earned confused looks from the team.
“Then you must know of my kind, yes?” I questioned
“Indeed” Was all he said, “Where will I be sleeping?”
“On the roof” Tony snapped again.
“The same floor as me” I smiled “I’ll show you”
I went about my business as usual, making my way around the tower, by myself. I would stop to talk to whoever was in the same room, but the conversation quickly died down since I know that they wouldn’t want to talk to me any longer.
The only thing I wanted was to hold a conversation with someone, but I know how they feel about me, they trust me but they are always watching my move to make sure I don’t turn on them.
I made my way to the fridge to grab my animal blood bag, then pouring it into a glass. I felt a pair of eyes on me as I did all of this.
“Can I help you?” I asked.
“I was just looking for someone to talk to.” Loki spoke softly.
“Well seeing as no one here seems to trust you, or like you, I guess that leaves me to be the last resort?” I gave a soft smile.
“Well, not actually, I wanted to talk to you. I already know they don’t like me” He chuckled.
“Oh” Was all I could say. He slowly walked into the kitchen, observing the room. He had a disgusted look as he continued to walk around.
“So what’s your secrete?” He asked stopping so he was now standing next to me.
“Excuse me?” I turned to look at him
“How do you do it?” He asked “How do you live under the same roof as them when treated like you’re still a monster?” I was not expecting the question from him
“Well I-” I was cut off by Steve walking into the room
“Hey y/n, the mission you were suppose to go on has been changed. Sam and Bucky will be going. We need you to stay back to show Loki the ropes. He seems to like you.” Steve explained
“Okay” I spoke quietly, giving Steve a small nod before quickly leaving the room.
An hour later I could hear Loki making his way to my door. I opened it right before he could knock.
“Oh, where you expecting me?” He smirked looking down at my small figure.
“No” I answered “I heard you coming”
He looked confused
“Perks of being a Vampire, I can hear everything around me” this time I smirked at him, I took a step back allowing him to enter my room.
“Did I upset you earlier?” He asked concern in his voice
“No” I walked back towards my living room area. “I just didn’t want to talk about that with Steve there.”
“So lady y/n, how old are you really?” Loki asked
“326″ I smiled, being able to just talk was enough for me.
“So I guess you could say you are immortal?” Loki continued “You could live forever”
“I guess you could say that.” I made my way to my book shelf. “Do you like books?”
“Yes, have anything of interest?”
“Of course I do” I smiled, grabbing a random book “This is Jane Austen, one of my favorites, this book is called Pride and Prejudice.”
“I think we will get a long just fine” He smiled while taking the book out of my hand to look at it.
Ever since he came into my room, and stole a few books from me, we spent everyday with each other, either reading or talking about our lives and what it was like 300 years ago. We became pretty close. We spent most days in one of our rooms, away from the team unless it was dinner, a meeting, training, a mission, or game/movie night.
Tonight was movie night and everyone, except Sam Loki, was in the theater, we decided to watch The Notebook, since most of us haven’t seen it. I sat on a two-seater sofa by myself. Tony was with Pepper, Nat and Bruce, Steve and Sharon, Bucky and his random girlfriend, Thor was next to Clint,and Wanda and Vision. I watched the team as I purposely sat away from them. I knew that I made most uncomfortable, but everyone tried to include me into movie and game night.
I watched the movie, wishing I had someone to love me the way the characters loved each other. I watched as the old man told the old women the love story of the two teens who fell in love. I happened to look away from the TV to see all of the coupled paying attention to each other and not the TV, deciding I had enough of this, I made my way out of the room only to be stopped by Tony announcing that I was leaving.
“Y/N why do you gotta go? We not good enough?” He joked
“Just tiered” I said before I walked off. I heard Tony whisper
“I thought Vampires don’t sleep?” I rolled my eyes and made my way to my room. We do sleep, I just stay up super late.
Once I made it to my room, I quietly shut my door not wanting Loki to know I was back in my room. I wanted to be alone. I wanted to cry, I hated not having someone to be with, I wanted to know what it was like to be in love and to be loved. I laid down in my bed as tears began to fall. I curled up into a ball on my bed.
As I continued to quietly cry, I suddenly felt my blanket go over my shoulders. I stiffened at the touch of a hand rubbing my shoulder.
“It’s me, relax love” I heard Loki speak calmly. “What’s wrong?”
I wiped the tears away as I sat up and scooted over allowing him to sit down next to me. I told him everything, how I lived 300 years alone, scared to be in love since human lives don’t last as long and a Vampire who doesn’t age, how I’m tiered of being alone and no one understanding me.
“You are not alone. I know exactly what you are going through, I mean I age, but not like a human, But I’m always lonely.” He wrapped an arm around me.
“I just want to be wanted.” I piratically whispered.
“You are” I squeezed me. “I want you”
“Really?” I gave him a funny look
“Yes” He nodded “On Asgard everyone avoids me, hates me, no one wants to be with me, same this Midgard, then I met this women who treated me as an equal, she dismissed everything I had done and gave me a chance.”
“Maybe because she knows what it’s like to be the monster.” I looked up into his eyes.  He didn’t say anything else. He just looked at me. His eyes flickered to my lips and then back to my eyes. I took the opportunity to move in for a kiss. At first he didn’t react so I started to move back, but his hands were now on the back of my neck as he pulled me into a kiss.
“We can be monsters together.” He spoke between kisses.
“Deal”

Warmth || DK/Seokmin Element AU
Tumblr media
Title: Warmth || Part of my 25+ days of Seventeenmas || Also Part of the Elemental/3lue AU universe
Member: DK/Seokmin x Reader
Genre: Fluff, Angst, Fantasy
Words: 3.18K
Blurb: Ice had to meet Sushine at some point, but they had to learn how to stand on thier own.
A/N // Trigger Warning? : There is death here and people getting beat up, basically violence. But I don’ t think it’s that bad.
Also for the anon who requested, DK - sunshine and light elemenalist!
It was December and yet despite the cold that was supposed to be making everyone shake and shiver, warmth made everyone sweat.
You, in simple trousers and a thinly woven shirt, didn’t even bother to put on winter clothing like the rest of them. The other villagers, decked out in heavy wool jackets and caps, boots and trousers meant for snow, cursed openly. Only a few villagers fumed in quietness.
Every time you looked at them, you could see into their minds and pick at their thoughts. There weren’t many of importance to you. There was only one that really mattered to you, one thought. One word.
‘Seokmin!’ most of their thoughts screamed.
You treaded quietly, buying a plethora of supplies that could last until spring came again.
Then, you could feel their attention begin to lock onto you; and, you knew you had to hurry.
You hated fire, you hated it.
Alright, so maybe a giant had manifested near your town and had taken an interest in it. Supper, that’s all you were to I; and, yes, half of the town, maybe more, was already lost. But, a fire elementalist reading havoc, and setting fire to your village was not helping.
Putting a fire wielder in charge of a giant was only making it easier for it to pick what it would eat first. Even more, the wielder was probably killing any chances the remaining villagers could have had to escape.
You yourself flinched from the heat of the fire as it caught the cottage next door.
Coughing, you tried to send a gust of through the air and to the walls closest to the burning cottage. But, the fire was burning too hot and you were too weak from the hit to the head that you had received.
“Guraahhh” a deep rumble resounded through the village before a ‘thunk’ sounded like the giant recked another cottage.
You whimpered and hit your head on the table you were hiding under.
This wasn’t even the cottage your family lived in, but you knew, that the entrance to the forest wasn’t far. If you could run fast enough, you could get away. You just had to be quiet.
‘Smash!” Came a crash from upstairs.
Your eyes widened. ‘No no no no no.’ The giant had really good hearing for being so big. Instantly, you felt the tense silence of the town and a hurried scream.
“No!” The wielder outside screamed.
The seconds seemed to slow down and you could feel the ground rumbling getting quicker and heavier.
The front door swung open on its own accord, a wave of heat snaking its way inside. Even with one look, you could see the forest line.
You stood up and rushed to the door, but a floorboard squeaking upstairs made you hesitate. On one hand, they had just screwed you and them in one go by calling the giant’s attention. On the other, that upstairs could either be an animal or another survivor.
Sighing, you bounced on your heels before turning around and running up the stairs. There was no point in being quiet now, the giant knew you were there and there was no hiding it.
Upstairs, there were two doors, both closed and dark. No light could be seen from under the door of either of them. So, you paused and strained to hear any noise you could from either door.
With a single scruff against the cedar wood was all it took for you to take off running, knowing exactly where to go.
The door on the right of the hallway, faded and with some dark ashen spots, opened easily although it squeaked and whined.
The inside looked average and empty, void of life at first until you heard a small sniffle from the corner the golden colored bed hid.
A boy, probably the same age as you, was huddled into the corner, face hidden in the fur of the small dog in his arms.
A strong shake of the house startled you out of your stupor. Quickly, you jumped over the bed and pulled at the boy’s arms, trying to grab his attention and distract him from his fear.
“Common!” You grunted. “We have to get out of here.”
The boy jumped; maybe, you thought to yourself, surprised that you weren’t something that was trying to kill him. Tears welled up in his eyes and he nodded rapidly and silently.
With one hand clutching the sleeve of his tunic, you dragged him down the hallway and pointed at the door leading outside.
“All we have to do is make it to the forest, and then we’ll be safe.”
“Oka—“ he began but was interrupted by the cracking of the roof.
“Humans are too small,”  a booming voice complained. You refused to look up until a piece of wood, small of like shards, hit your head. Then you dared to look up to the sky where the roof should have been.
A frowning, boil filled face took up the space where the roof belonged. “But, you will do as seasoning for my food.” It growled before knocking down the furthest wall.
“Run!” You squeaked, hitting the boy’s back in a hurry, trying to get him to move.
Behind you, the giant fumed, sending a rumble through the ground, aiming to make you both fall. But once you made it to the forest line, the giant was already behind you, reaching out to pluck both of you.
Silently, you thanked the fates for its slow speed.
The boy beside you made the mistake of looking back. He screamed and tumbled to the ground, eating a mouthful of dirt. The dog in his arms yelped as it fell out of his arms, and ran deeper into the forest.
You screamed and held out your hands in front of you, willing a small sheet of ice to materialize in front of you. But, in your rush, you created a block instead. Half of it on the ground protecting you, the other half stretched over its eyes.
Stunned, it was like the world had stopped spinning and time itself had frozen over.
You refused to meet its eyes; and as if you time was only starting to drag itself painfully slow, you looked at the boils on its face. Some were filled with a murky green substance, others were filled with dirt and twigs.
Then, you finally reached its eyes. They stared directly back at you, unwavering.
Time sped up again.
It roared. It remembered it had hands and began reaching around the block of ice.
Shaking, you pressed yourself against the ice and forced yourself to materialize more ice. But you were only 12, you hadn’t even turned 13 yet.
Those people who were supposed to come and test you to see if you were material for the Elm school, they were supposed to come in a week.
They could have saved your village. They could have saved your family. They could have saved you.
You sobbed. You weren’t strong enough for this.
It roared.
You screamed and covered your ears.
“No!” A voice cried, “You said we would survive if we got to the forest.”
A flash of light made you see red even with shut eyes.
“Don’t open your eyes!” A voice screamed. You guessed it was the boy if he had come out of his stupor.
An intense heat crawled up your skin. Slowly you could feel your ice melting and yourself weakening.
You jumped when you felt a hand envelop on yours and pull you up.
“Run!”
You opened your eyes and found yourself in the hands of the boy. Turning around, tears running down your cheeks, you could see the giant letting out a cry and clutching its face in pain.
From then on it felt like an eternity before you had gotten far enough not to hear the roars of the monster. An eternity until you got to stop and rest.
The boy had shoved you into a cave so fast you had stumbled against your own two feet. He fell afterward, tripping over you.
Breathing hard, lungs on fire, you curled into yourself. He, on the other hand, covered his face with the palm of his hands and tried not to cry.
When you finally felt like you weren’t on fire, you whispered, “I’m sorry about your dog.”
Silence.
“It’s fine, I’m sure he’ll be fine.”
You could see him gulp and decided to stay quiet and let him keep the conversation going if he wanted to.
“I’m Seokmin.”
“Y/N.”
A couple of months later, Seokmin and you made it to a village. Neither of you had any idea where it was on the map, nor did you want to find out.
They talked, of course, not much, they didn’t really care about the village that had been destroyed or the people lost.
Sometimes they talked about the giant and how it had been captured.
When that happened, you ran or tuned them out. You couldn’t stand it, you felt a fire light inside you.
You hated fire.
Sometimes you wondered why no one thought it weird that two thirteen-year-olds lived together, you looked nothing alike. Even more, why they were alone.
Maybe it was because at first, you had been nothing more than a bunch of street urchins, living off of food you could find in the forest or the trash. Sleeping behind taverns and in corners where the light wouldn’t reach, Seokmin curled up behind you, trying to keep you warm.
Every now and then, in the middle of the night, when you would hear a noise, he would make a ray of light appear in the palm of his hands and he’d scope the place out. He never strayed too far from your side.
You were both only thirteen. You were quiet and reserved, he was bright and talkative.
Someone finally took pity and you were both able to take up work, saving up your pay until you could afford a cottage.
It was the day before Christmas, a couple of months later that life with Seokmin took another turn.
“Seokmin.” You whisper yelled as you entered your cottage, slipping off your shoes.
It was warm inside even though there was no fire burning in the fireplace.
“Are you still in bed? You said you’d go into town with me today, to buy some meat for today.” You crawled over the couch and headed for the bed.
You grinned at the bulge under the covers and draped yourself over it. Then, rolled over and lifted the covers so you could go underneath them.
“Seokmin,” you whispered poking his cheeks. He didn’t budge, and as you were growing impatient, wanting to see his brown eyes glow again.
‘Mmmmrgh,’ he mumbled, curling deeper into the pillow.
“Wake up!” You hit him lightly, hoping to get him to fall off the bed.
“I’m up!” He gasped, the comforter falling off his figure. He rubbed his eyes, and yawned, grinning afterward.
He gave you a good morning hug, a tradition after all your months. It started one day after you woke up from a nightmare, believing you were alone.
“Hey,” You whined, pushing yourself away, and pinching the bridge of his nose, “we’ve got things to do. Hurry up and get ready.”
“I’m not going.” He laughed, falling back onto the bed and stretching.
You noted how he was getting taller and made a mental note to buy him more clothes as his present this year.
“But you promised me yesterday.” You whined, draping yourself over his stomach.
“I know.” He laughed and patted your head. “How much money do we have left over to spend.”
You paused for a moment to subtract the amount for food and clothes, “Why?”
“Just tell me, please.” He stretched out the final word, whining himself.
“Enough to last a couple of months.”
He nodded and motioned for you to get off of him. “I have somewhere to go too. Meet me back here before sundown. Yeah?”
You nodded in resignation, already feeling the cottage warm. You sighed and took off your jacket.
“Look’s like it’s going to be another hot day, even though it’s winter.” You pouted and shook your head. “I’ll see you later.”
Humming a little tune, you swung your basket in joy, thinking about the new tunics you had bought for Seokmin. Even though it had only been a couple of months since that day, Seokmin had kept you from crying every second of the day.
You had never seen him in the village before, and finding out he had lived there his entire life sent you wondering how you could have missed someone as bright and warm as him.
Granted, you didn’t deal well with heat as you were an ice elemental, but his warmth was inviting.
His warmth didn’t make you feel the way fire did.
He had even kept you from realizing that it hadn’t begun to snow, or that it seemed like it would never start snowing.
‘Bam!’ A crash from the alley of a tavern pushed you out of your thoughts.
You paused and peered in, trying to locate the source of the noise. Seeing nothing, you thought it was a cat or a chicken knocking over something.
That is until you heard a hushed whimpering. Slowly, you stepped into the alley, not bothering to hide.
“We know that winter hasn’t begun because of you!” A short figure grunted before hitting something on the floor.
“You’re the cause of this damn heat.” Another figure materialized and kicked the same spot the other had punched.
You eyebrows scrunched in concatenation. What exactly were they—
‘Is that?’ You thought to yourself, ‘Is that a beam of light?’
“Seokmin!” You ran and tackled one of the figures before turning to kick the other.
Quickly you hoisted Seokmin onto your back and started running away, aiming for your cottage and avoiding all main roads.
While you were in the forest, wandering around, you gave up hope about ever joining the Elm school. Seokmin talked about how much he hoped he’d be able to tested and accepted. So, you broke it to him, the schools only test twelve-year-olds, that too the world neither of you existed.
His wide smile faltered and the shine in his eyes disappeared before reappearing again.
“That’s okay. I’ll be fine as long as you let me stay by your side.”
“You snuck into the bookkeeper's reserve?!” You yelled, eyes widening.
Seokmin grimaced but grabbed your hands carefully, still aware that you hadn’t finished cleaning his wounds.
“They were right, it’s because of me that winter hasn’t come yet.”
“What? No.” You said, holding onto his arms tighter.
“You’re really sweet.” Seokmin giggled bringing your hand up to his lips so he could place a kiss on them.
You blushed.
“Haven’t you noticed that it’s warmer when I’m awake?”
“That’s the weather.”

“That’s my elemental.”
“You control sunshine and light.” You countered.
“I concentrate sunshine in one place. Sunshine causes warmth especially when it concentrates in one place.”
“That, that can’t be. No, I won’t believe it.” You huffed and ripped your hands out of his so you could grab more of the ointment you had made.
Seokmin sighed and leaned into your touch as you slathered it onto the bruises on his face. You froze when you felt the warm temperature drop ever so slightly.
“I snuck into the bookkeeper's reserves to find books about my element. I wanted to control it but there’s not much on it.” He whispered.
You shook your head, you should have tried. You should have tried getting him to an Elm recruiter.
“This isn’t your fault.” He whispered, knowing what you were thinking the moment he opened his eyes and bored into yours.
“There is one way to fix this and I need you do to help me.”
“What is it?”
“I need you to put me to sleep. I read that if an ice user sends a breeze of ice through me I’ll be asleep for a while. You have to be very careful not to send to much through me though and— and everyone once in a while, you’ll have to wake me so I can eat again.”
“You want me to put you though hibernation?” You yelped.
“I promise I’ll be okay!” He latched his hands onto yours, “You just have to wake me once every two weeks until spring so I can eat. That’s how long it will take for everything to be digested.”
You shook your head, wordlessly.
“Please.” He insisted, “Afterwards, all you have to do is shoot that same breeze into the sky, just pure concentrated ice.”
The silence seemed to get to him, so he brought you closer to him, nose to nose. A promise was on the tip of his tongue.
“I promise you won’t lose me.”
So, that ’s how you ended up, two years later, fifteen and speed walking through the stalls in the village, a week before Christmas.
A huge basket in your arms, full of blankets, vegetables, and meat.
Avoiding the glares of the villagers for waiting so long into the months to disappear and become hermits, you sped up into a sprint until you reached the door of your cottage.
Opening it, stepping over the threshold, and slamming the door behind you, you were greeted by Seokmin’s smiling face. He sat at the table, eating the food you had made him.
“Ready?” He smiled.
You nodded and shoved a parcel into his hands. “Merry Christmas,” you mumbled.
He opened it and grinned at the woolen sweater you had bought him to keep him warm even in the hibernation.
“Thank you. I got you a present too, but promise me you won’t open it until the actual day.”
You nodded and motioned for him to lie down on your bed. You sat down on the edge next to him, caressing his thin face and avoiding the brown eyes that snuck into your dreams.
“I promise I’ll be fine.”
“Okay.” You whispered but made no motion to move.
Seokmin let out a breathless laugh and tugged at your arms, pulling you down into a small hug before capturing your lips in his.
You closed your eyes and felt a breeze of ice move through you and into him, your silver aura enveloping both of you. His grip slackened and the temperature cooled.
Slowly, you pulled away and stared at his peaceful face. You pulled the blankets over him and stalked off to the open windows. Then, after letting out a huff of icy breath into the sky, watching as the sky began to form clouds of snow, you closed the window.
You walked over to the table and sat down, waiting for days to go by until you could wake him up the same way; and wishing that you could kiss him even when he didn’t have to go through this.

Bucky's 'therapy' of sorts with Wanda had been going well from what she said. Although I did know that he would sneak off at times to see people about the pain, something to try and numb it or just to talk. I hated that he felt he couldn't talk to me about it. That I would wake up in the middle of the night and find his side of the bed empty and the heat from his body long gone. Sometimes he could be found drinking vast amounts of strong black coffee in the kitchen, the smell following him and eventually becoming part of the sent that told me it was him. Black coffee. A slight metallic tang. Something sweet that I couldn't  quite place. Vanilla perhaps.
Other times he would be on the balcony letting the cool city air ruffle his hair. That was when I knew the pain was at its peak. When it was so bad that no medication or legal high could get it under control. When the only thing left was to contemplate the very worst thing imaginable. I had been forced on several occasions to stop him from jumping and eventually we where moved to a ground floor room. He had not been impressed by this.
In today's 'therapy' session Bucky was lying on the medical bench just as always, Wanda's thin red wisps floating around his head causing his eyes to scrunch up in pain. Wanda too, had her eyes shut as she tried to free him from the binding words that enslaved him to anyone that knew them. Steve had told me to sit in on the sessions hoping that I would be able to stop any undesirable situations and I knew I could but that didn't mean I could when the time came. It also meant that I had been forced to watch the man I love suffer and it made my heart feel like it was made of the strongest metal that compiled his own arm and best friends shield. But today it was like the vibrianium had been combined with lead and was slowly pulling my heart further and further down into my stomach. The door to my left opened silently and Steve stepped in trying not to disturbed the two on the other side of the room. Holding a paper cup filled with warm coffee I took it gratefully. Since meeting Bucky he had converted me from being only dependent on water and oxygen to stay awake. Now caffeine was my only refuge. "How's it going?" Steve whispered as I took a sip and shrugged. I noted that Steve had added just a dash of cream, just the way I liked it. "How does it ever go?" I replied "Not good then?" "No." I sighed and felt my heart shatter once again as Bucky let out a small whimper of pain. "I just wish I could help" I muttered to Steve and he wrapped a comforting arm around my shoulders giving them a gentle squeeze. "We all do. But you and I both know this is the only way unless you want to put him-" Steve began but I cut him off with a quick "no" that was a little too loud and I glanced across the room to make sure I hadn't disturbed them. No, thank goodness. "Please, Steve. Anything but that I'm begging." "I know, I know. I don't want it as much as you do but if this doesn't start working I don't know what else we're going to do" he sighed "I'll be back in a bit yeah?" He asked and I just nodded not letting my eyes leave Bucky's still form. I only consciously realised Steve had gone when the soft noise of the door shutting behind him reached me.
For the next half an hour I watched the red mist as if it was calming to watch. Soothed the thoughts that infiltrated my head. Bucky had been put back in cryosleep once before, he had asked for it because he didn't think it was safe for him to be awake. But it had torn me up, not being able to be with him. So when Wanda had suggested she might be able to take a stab at fixing him, or at least trying to find a way of fixing him I had jumped at the chance. I remembered when he woke up, he had barely had a chance to step out of the chamber before I was in his arms, holding him and breathing in the smell of coffee that I had been craving. I don't think I let go for at least a week.
Another whimper pulled me from my thoughts only this time is was from Wanda. Her face was the picture of pain and she was shaking her head back and forth in frustration. "No, no..." she kept muttering. Then suddenly the red wisps pulsed brighter and she screamed "No!" Before the mist disappeared all together and she fell to the floor.
On any other occasion I would have run to her, checked her over and dusted her down making sure she was okay. But my attention was pulled by Bucky who was now thrashing around in the bed, the unmistakeable whir of his arm coming to life causing me to take a protective stance over Wanda in anticipation for what was going to happen next.
Bucky. No. The Winter Soldier suddenly stopped his thrashing and sat bolt up right to look at me. Dead in the eyes, not like my Bucky's. I often compared the two to the story of Dr Jeykell and Mr Hyde. Bucky was Jeykell: slightly more human and much less murderous. The Winter Solider was Hyde: a monster and unstoppable. Similarly, it was like a physical change happened. Their eyes where different, Bucky stood slightly different. I had only met the Soldier once or twice before, Bucky had always feared me seeing him like that, in case I ran. Left him. I could never do this. This was not Bucky. And it was Bucky I loved.
Not taking my eyes from his steely gaze I muttered to Wanda: "go, get Steve" and when she didn't move for fear I nudged her leg with my boot "now" I said through gritted teeth. Wanda suddenly jumped up and ran from the room and I was alone with one of history's most dangerous people. The fact that he hadn't attacked me yet gave me hope that I had a chance of stopping this and I faked a more relaxed stance. "Bucky?" I whispered stepping closer a little and he stiffened causing me to pause. "It's okay, it's only me. Buck-" but before I could plead with him to come back to me his mental arm shot out and wrapped around my neck. Score throwing me against the wall. "Ow!" I yelled getting mad now. "That's not my name!" The Soldier shouted at me and lunched for me. "Okay, this isn't you though!" I screamed back just managing to dodge his blow and slide between his legs to end up behind him and no longer trapped against the wall. "Please stop this!" I begged but he didn't reply only began the dance of punches and dodges.
The sound of the door slamming open and against the wall as Steve and Wanda came running in caused the Soldier to freeze for the most minuscule of moments and I was able to land a good blow to his groin causing him to double over backwards in pain. I was going to pay for that later. "Steve?!" I called and he quickly rushed forwards to land on top of The Soldier to pin him to the floor with as much strength as he hand. "Y/N! Now!" He yelled and I knew what he wanted me to to. "Steve... I..." I stuttered. What I was capable of could kill if not cause some serious damage to the man I loved. "Now!" Steve said and as I realised I was crying I made my way over turning my hands over and over watching as the ball of electricity formed. "I can't" I said kneeling down next to the pair as Steve wrestled to keep Bucky under control. "Yes you can now do it!" He said and I looked through the tears at Bucky and he looked back at me only pausing for a second then continuing with his thrashing. "Baby, I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry" I whispered before sitting behind his head and placing my palms either side of his head. "I'm so sorry" I muttered over and over placing my forehead against his until the thrashing stopped. I didn't notice Steve gentle rise from his position straddling Bucky as he stopped moving. He backed away to join Wanda again and I cried and cried into Bucky's hair as he passed out.
Removing my hands before any real damage could be done I found my self shaking all of with the momentum of my tears until Steve spoke up. "Y/N, we need to take him to the medical wing" he said and I nodded pressing a kiss to Bucky's forehead, sniffing and standing up with a nod to allow Steve to scoop him up and carry him away through the doors. "Oh Wanda how could I?" I muttered and she walked over to me and hugged me tightly. "You did the right thing" she soothed "it was the only way, and he'll be as right as rain in a few days" she promised and I nodded. I knew that he would live, there were just enough volts to knock him out. Not kill him. "I know... but-" "Shhh" she muttered and took me by the hand to lead me from the room "he will be okay with it. He knew that what you where here for. And besides it was my fault. I entered a part of his mind where I shouldn't have" he explained and I shrugged realising that we had reached the medical wing and through a glass window we could watch as doctors and buffed went about attaching drips and wired to Bucky as Steve watched from the door way. "Will he be alright?" Wanda asked for me as we approached and Steve nodded. "Yeah, he'll be fine. He's been through worse and now he has a reason to wake up" Steve chucked and glanced at me. "This isn't funny Steve. How would you feel if the person you loved didn't recognise you and the you where forced to electrocute them?" I asked and he titled his head in accepting I was right. "The doctors are keeping him sedated but he should be up in a day or so" Steve smiled and I nodded.
We waited in the corridor for ages, just watching through the glass. Wanda left long ago needing to rest from the overuse of her gifts earlier. Steve stayed for a while but was called away for something important so I was left alone. Hours later a doctor told me that I was free to go in and sit with Bucky until he woke in a day or so. I must have fallen asleep next to him be used when I opened my eyes again I could feel familiar hands running through my hair. With a groan I stretched out my sore limbs realising that I had be lying stretched out across Bucky's legs. There was a chuckle as I sat up and rubbed he sleep from my eyes before looked at Bucky who was now propped up by pillows and had scraped his hair back into a bun on the back of his head. "Hello" he smiled and brushed a loos strand of hair from my face and behind my ear. “Hi” I smiled back and I could feel the tears brimming up again. “Bucky I’m so sorry, I didn’t-“ I began but he interrupted me “It’s okay” he soothed “you did what you had to in order to stop… him… Babe its okay” he promised. “I didn’t think I could… I didn’t want to-“ I cried not realising that Bucky had made room for me on the bed and I had curled up against his side as he continued to run his hands through my hair. “Let’s not talk about it” he bargained and I shrugged nuzzling my head into his chest and letting the silence fill the room.
