Whether its collection, separation, transportation, recycling and disposal of plastic waste, it must be done as per EPR for plastic waste management rule in India mentioned by CPCB. 
Recyclable Plastic Packages should be designed
It has been found that recyclable plastics are way less harmful than the single use plastics. By designing recyclable plastic packages, the number of EPR authorised recycling facilities can also be increased throughout the states. Such initiatives can avoid harmful or complex ingredients while producing pliable substances.
Encouraging EPR authorised plastic collection points 
Some of the Indian states like Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra have dedicated EPR-authorised collection points for gathering plastic waste as per EPR plan for plastic waste management. PIBOs must take their EPR responsibilities seriously 
The PIBOs must be registered with the Central and State Pollution Control Board to set up collection and recycling infrastructure as per EPR compliances for the plastic industry. 
The PIBOs should also meet the following compliances as well:
Meeting 25% of plastic packaging waste generated in 1st year, 70% within the second and 100% by the third year 
Promote the agenda of recycling plastic content in packaging
3. Communicate with the PWPs (Plastic Waste Processors) to develop and implement plastic EPR rules for creating awareness among plastic handlers. 
4. PIBOs should submit a detailed transparent annual report to PCBs mentioning the number of plastic packages recycled and the target met for the specific quarterly.
CPCB must monitor the enforced EPR for plastic law  
The Central Pollution Control Board Of India must monitor that all the PIBOs are implementing the plastic law mentioned in EPR guidelines. On finding any violation of EPR law for the plastic industry, strict fines & penalties are to be imposed, depending upon the extent of the law violation. 
Collaborating with PWPs to raise public awareness
The PIBOs should team up with the PWPs (Plastic Waste Processors) to raise awareness among the general public for avoiding single-use plastics. They should also associate with non-governmental and governmental bodies, municipalities, recyclers and NGOs to develop effective strategies and solutions for combating plastic pollution.
