Here's a thought for you, born from the fantastic art for Gerudo Twilight recently and me playing SSHD.
Groose is the first Gerudo, which would make him theoretically related to Twi. How long do you think it takes after he figures that out for Groose to decide he's going going to be the best great-something-grandfather in history?
And how long after that for Time to get jealous? And then for it to be a competition?
(Of course the answer to 'How long before Twilight is done with their shit and runs away to hide with the remlets?' is instantly. As soon as he's able to slip away he's running.)
Bonus: Sun asking if that means she's Twi's aunt, and Sky his uncle, and Groose loudly declaring OBVIOUSLY while Sky's eyes light up and Twilight prays for the ground to swallow him whole.
Also, just realizing, if Twi is Gerudo because Malon is Gerudo, then she Knows. She knows and said nothing.
Anyways, I leave you with this thought, and vanish into the hills, to the place with no wifi or contact with the outside world. I'm going camping and will be back on Sunday, but out of reach until then. Can't wait to see what I miss this time.

There is so much going on here OH BOY
It would take Groose about a week to put the pieces together. After which point, your right. It's over. Twilight will never know peace again.
Groose would be a pretty cool grandparent in his own way. He does after all have a giant bird, and would 100% teach Twilight all about the Loftwing. He also loves the little birds, so Twilight would get to learn about them too. (Fun fact, being good with animals comes from Groose).
And TIME. Oh boy, yeah he would get so jealous. Not at first. But after maybe a few days with Groose hogging Twilight? Oh, it's ON.
Twilight eventually has to explain to Time that, while the old man is TECHNICALLY in the grandfather catagory, he's more like a dad and Groose will NEVER be a contender for that. And could they PLEASE stop trying to one up eachother? He really doesn't want to know what will come next now that Groose has made modifications to the Groosenator and found new bomb flowers.
AUNT AND UNCLE SUN AND SKY
OH MY GOSH
Tbh, not much changes between Twilight and Sky. But Sun? Hooo boy. Sun takes to it like a duck to water.

MALON WOULD KNOW. SKSKSKSKSKSKKAKSSksksksksks
And there is no way that Twilight wouldn't also be able to peg her as Gerudo too. They come to a very silent agreement to not make a big deal over it, and Malon just treats Twi as she has been. With lots of motherly affection.

OK so Dad and I got talking Zelda and ended up with this jumble of theory mess of Minish, Twili, Ganondorf, and floating Castles for BotW 2 so here we go
So between the concept art of BotW originally having the Picori and the hints towards the Twili, Father and I came to the conclusion: what if the Zonai were a mix of both races?
We know the Piccori have been in Hyrule since before the Time Line Split and have magic. We also know that there is a replica of the Twili Mirror down in Lurelin.
What if one time before the Calamity 10,000 years ago the Minish built a working Twili mirror and brought the Twili through and together they became the magical slightly barbaric race that lives in the woods?
Malice also seems to be the physical manifestation of Demise's curse but that isn't really a needed peice of info for this.
Also relevant to the theory is how we see the Castle move in the BotW 2 trailer. Originally it moves upwards, but seeing how you have to replay the trailer backwards to hear the hidden message, what if Hyrule castle is actually moving down and that's a flashback to 10,000 years ago?
But what moved the castle? Shiekah tech? Ganon magic? Triforce magic? Idk dad and I kinda skipped over that.
So theory 1: What if Hyrule Castle moved because the Kingdom of Hyrule ended up moving as well?
While History is painted by the victors what if the previous Calamity happened differently? Maybe the Divine Beasts didn't actually exists when the threat came about and Calamity destroyed Hyrule and its people which forced the survivors to rebuild somewhere else.
On the tapestry in Impa's house we see the hero had red hair. The corpse under what is possibly Hyrule Castle also has red hair. So maybe the Previous Hero was Ganondorf. Or at least, he was the hero the people chose, not necessarily the wielder of the Triforce of Courage.
Anyways, let's say the Hero Ganondorf ended up dying during the fight depicted on the tapestry and the Zonai had to help finish off Ganon with the Princess by enhancing animals to fight. The Zonai then used a combination of Twili and Piccori magic to try and magically make a Shrine of Resurrection, which ended up failing. The Shiekah took the ideas of enhanced animals and built the Divine Beasts, then they so did the same with the Shrine of Resurrection.
And perhaps the reason Hero Ganondorf failed was because he didn't weild the Master Sword but instead a Piccori Blade. It could be possible that when Hyrule was in a time of need the Zonai saw a Male Gerudo who was adept at combat and magic and made him the hero which ultimately failed.
Back to the aftereffects of the Calamity, after Ganon was sealed away and the Zonai built an impromptu (and failed) Shine of Resurrection the Castle was moved overtop the body either as a memorial or precaution.
There isn't much to back Theory 1 up but whatever.
Moving on to Theory 2, what if it happened a little differently?
Let's say Teenage Hero Ganondorf (who was possible chosen as the Hero because the Zonai didn't know the difference between the Triforce of Courage and the Triforce of Power) did manage to defeat Ganon with the era's Zelda and magic enhanced beasts using a Piccori Blade. Hyrule was repaired and everyone was OK for a bit. Then once Ganondorf hit somewhere between 20-40 years old and was taken over by Demise's curse.
We came to the age conclusion after a 10 minute conversation trying to figure out Groose's age (which we decided was somewhere between 18 and 21), comparing the different Ganondorf's we've seen (TP, OOT, WW, HW) for five minutes, and finding the age range of the Link's (7-19).
Anyways, 20+ year old Ganondorf becomes possessed and turns on the Zonai, killing all but a few. The remaining Twili and Minish put together their magic to seal away Ganon.
The Shiekah, who still recreated the Divine Beasts in mechanical form, moved the Castle from the Great Platue overtop the still alive Body so someone could always watch over it.
It's very possible the body was forgotten about or Royalty and Gaurds could only know about it at a certain age which would explain Link and Zelda's confusion.
Again, not much evidence but it makes more sense. As for why the Malice is seeping out it could be because it's looking for another host to spread destruction.
But through this all me and Dad came to the conclusion it's possible that in BotW 2 during the time of dusk we might see the Twili or ghosts of friends for encouragement/gaurds for information. We also might see the Minish in some way for similar reasons.
But that's what I got to share, what'd yall think?
