Thoughts on media: WWE, Netflix, and the Long Game: Why Fans Are Missing the Bigger Picture
For the past few months, there’s been a lot of noise around WWE’s transition to Netflix and the state of its U.S. broadcast deals. Fans are frustrated. They don’t like the fragmented experience. They don’t like that SmackDown is staying on NBC/USA. They don’t like that the WWE Network is now only fully consolidated for international viewers. On the surface, I get it. I’ve been a wrestling fan…

Reconnecting Ringside
Tumblr media
Sade is interning at WWE, hoping to gain some insight experience and runs in to Jon, an old friend. What are the chances of these two reconnecting?
Word count: 3.5K
Pairing: Jonathan x OC (Sade)
No warnings, Happy Valentine’s day ❤️••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••Jonathan Fatu adjusted his snapback as he strolled through the halls of the WWE Performance Center, his sneakers squeaking against the polished floor. Fresh off a promo rehearsal, he was already thinking about heading back to his hotel—until a familiar voice stopped him in his tracks.
“Jonathan Fatu? Is that really you?”
He turned, eyebrows raising in surprise. “Sade?”
There she stood—Sade, his old friend from back home. The years had changed her, but the warm smile and bright eyes were unmistakable. She held a media badge around her neck, a notepad in hand.
“Wow,” Jonathan chuckled, a grin spreading across his face. “Long time no see! What brings you here?”
Sade’s smile widened. “I just started an internship with WWE’s journalism team. Gonna be doing interviews, covering events, all that.”
“No way!” He beamed proudly. “Look at you, making moves. This business is wild, but you’re gonna kill it. Trust me.”
Sade laughed. “I hope so! And I’m pretty sure an interview with a certain Uso has to happen soon.”
Jonathan smirked, his playful side kicking in. “Only if you can handle the heat, ’cause when I’m on the mic, it’s straight fire!”
“Bring it on,” she teased. “Just don’t make me roast you on camera.”
Jonathan laughed loudly, shaking his head. “You ain’t changed a bit.”
Before they could say more, a voice called from down the hall—production needed Jonathan on set. He glanced back at Sade. “Yo, we gotta catch up after this. Dinner tonight?”
“Deal,” she replied.
As he walked away, Jonathan couldn’t help but smile. The WWE ring had brought him countless battles—but this? This felt like the start of something special.
-
Later that evening, Jonathan and Sade found themselves at a cozy restaurant not far from the arena. The air buzzed with the soft hum of conversations, but their table felt like its own world.
“So, WWE journalism, huh?” Jonathan leaned back, his chain catching the low light. “How’d you end up here?”
Sade smiled, setting her drink down. “Well, you know I always loved storytelling. After college, I did some freelance sports writing. Then, I saw WWE was offering an internship for media coverage. It felt like fate. And now here I am, about to cover superstars—never thought I’d run into one I actually know.”
Jonathan chuckled. “Man, life’s wild like that. Feels like yesterday we were back home, clowning around.”
Sade’s eyes sparkled. “Remember when you used to practice your promos in front of my camera for my school projects?”
Jonathan laughed loudly. “You mean those cringy ones with the bad lighting? Yeah, I remember. Guess that was my first taste of ‘The Mic.’”
Sade grinned. “I knew you had star power even then.”
Jonathan’s expression softened. “And now you’re here, chasing your own dream. That’s dope.”
Their laughter faded into a comfortable silence, and for a moment, it was just two old friends, worlds apart from where they started, but somehow right back in step.
Then Sade’s phone buzzed with a notification—Interview assignments posted. She opened it and paused, eyes widening.
“Well, looks like fate’s still working overtime,” she said, turning the screen to him.
The assignment read: “Exclusive Sit-Down Interview with Jimmy Uso – Tomorrow.”
Jonathan smirked. “Guess you’re getting that interview sooner than you thought.”
Sade raised an eyebrow, her playful competitive streak kicking in. “Hope you’re ready, Fatu. I don’t go easy on my subjects.”
Jonathan grinned, his tone playful but firm. “And I don’t pull punches. Better bring your A-game.”
Their eyes locked—a spark of excitement, challenge, and something unspoken lingering between them.
“Game on,” Sade replied with a smirk.
The following morning, backstage at a live event, the atmosphere was a mix of buzzing anticipation and focused intensity. Jonathan Fatu—better known in the ring as Jimmy Uso—sat in his dressing room, meticulously going over last-minute details. The mirror in front of him reflected a man who had weathered countless storms in the squared circle, each scar and smile telling a story of his journey.
A gentle knock at the door broke his concentration. Jonathan looked up to see Sade stepping in, notebook in hand and a confident gleam in her eye. The room, usually reserved for quiet pre-match rituals, seemed to brighten with her presence.
“Good morning, Jimmy,” she began warmly. “Ready for our sit-down?”
Jonathan grinned. “Always. It’s not every day I get to be interviewed by an old friend.”
They settled into a pair of mismatched chairs by a small table cluttered with water bottles, a coffee mug, and memorabilia from past events. Sade switched on her recorder and leaned forward. “Let’s start at the beginning. What was it like when you first realized this wasn’t just a game, but your life?”
Jonathan’s eyes softened with memory. “I remember the first time I stepped into the ring—the roaring crowd, the smell of sweat and determination. It wasn’t about winning or losing back then. It was about proving to myself that I belonged in a world where every moment mattered.”
Sade scribbled a note, then asked, “And what about the pressure of living up to a family legacy? Your brother, the rest of your clan—it all adds a layer of expectation.”
He chuckled, running a hand through his hair. “Family is both the weight on my shoulders and the wind beneath my wings. Every match, every promo, I’m not just fighting for myself but for everyone who’s ever believed in me. It’s a relentless drive.”
The conversation flowed naturally, as if the years apart had melted away. Sade probed further, “There must have been moments of doubt along the way. Can you share one that changed you?”
Jonathan’s gaze drifted to a framed photo on the wall—a candid shot of him and his cousins backstage, laughing after a tough day. “There was a time when I wasn’t sure I’d ever overcome the obstacles. A major injury had me sidelined longer than I’d hoped, and the fear of losing my edge was overwhelming. But in that quiet darkness, I learned that resilience isn’t just about physical strength—it’s about heart, determination, and the unwavering support of those who stand by you.”
Sade’s voice softened. “That vulnerability… it makes your triumphs all the more inspiring.”
“Exactly,” Jonathan replied, a wry smile playing on his lips. “The ring isn’t just about the spectacle you see on TV. It’s about the sweat, the scars, and the moments when you push past pain to become something more.”
A comfortable silence fell over the room as they both reflected on the weight of his journey. Finally, Sade added, “I think that’s what the fans need to hear. Behind every high-flying move and every electrifying promo, there’s a human story. A story of struggle, family, and the relentless pursuit of a dream.”
Jonathan nodded appreciatively. “And thanks to you, Sade, that story is going to be told with honesty and heart.”
The recorder clicked off as Sade closed her notebook. They sat for a moment, two friends connected by time and a shared passion for storytelling—one through the physical poetry of wrestling, the other through the power of the written word.
Stepping out into the corridor, the buzz of the arena waiting just beyond, Jonathan clapped Sade on the shoulder. “I’m looking forward to the next chapter. And hey—if you need any behind-the-scenes action, you know where to find me.”
With a final smile and a promise to reconnect after the show, Sade walked off, her mind brimming with the raw, authentic narrative of a superstar whose legacy was as much about heart as it was about hustle. And for Jonathan, the day had reaffirmed that every story—both in and out of the ring—deserves to be told.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••Weeks passed, and Sade and Jonathan settled into an easy rhythm. Between shows, interviews, and the chaos of WWE life, they always found time for each other—grabbing dinner after tapings, cracking jokes between promos, and sharing late-night conversations that blurred the line between the past and present.
Their friendship felt natural, like they had never lost time. But for Jonathan, something unexpected had started to creep in—attraction. He found himself looking forward to her laugh, the way her eyes lit up when she asked the right question, or how she stood her ground during heated debates about wrestling storylines.
One evening, they sat together in catering, plates filled with the usual post-show fare. The energy of the arena hummed faintly through the walls. Sade, scrolling through her notes for her next assignment, glanced up to catch Jonathan watching her.
She smirked. “What? Do I have something on my face?”
Jonathan shook his head, leaning back with a grin. “Nah, just—never thought I’d see you in this world. But you’re killin’ it.”
Sade chuckled, brushing off the compliment. “You always did hype me up.”
Jonathan’s eyes glinted with curiosity, and he tilted his head playfully. “So, tell me… you leave a boyfriend behind to pursue this dream?”
Sade paused mid-sip of her water, then burst out laughing. “Boyfriend? Nah, haven’t had one in a while. Been single for two years now.”
Jonathan’s eyebrows lifted slightly, though he kept his cool. “Yeah? Why’s that?”
She raised an eyebrow, her playful side kicking in. “Why you askin’, Fatu?”
Jonathan shrugged casually, but there was a flicker of something in his eyes. “Just curious.”
Sade smirked. “You’re terrible at being subtle, you know that?”
Jonathan laughed, rubbing his chin. “Maybe. But I’m good at being real.”
A charged silence settled between them, one that felt… different. Sade felt the weight of his gaze, but before she could unpack it, a crew member called her name from across the room.
She stood, flashing him a quick grin. “Well, just curious, I gotta get back to work. See you later, Fatu.”
Jonathan watched her walk away, a slow smile tugging at his lips. “Yeah,” he muttered under his breath. “See you later.”
But as she disappeared down the hall, one thought stuck in his mind: This ain’t just friendship anymore.
-
The more time Jonathan spent with Sade, the more his feelings tangled. Friendship had always been easy with her—jokes, conversations, the comfort of someone who just got him. But now? He found himself noticing everything—the way her eyes crinkled when she laughed, how she challenged him in conversations, how her passion for storytelling mirrored his passion for the ring.
But the more he felt it, the more he panicked.
Jonathan wasn’t a stranger to love—he’d been through enough to know how messy it could get. And with Sade? She was his friend. Hell, his best friend. If he crossed that line and it went south, he could lose something he hadn’t even realized he needed so badly.
So, he buried it. Teased her like always. Kept his playful charm front and center.
But his heart kept slipping through the cracks.
One Night After SmackDown
The locker room buzz had died down, and Jonathan was cooling off from his match, towel draped around his neck when his phone buzzed.
Sade: “Still here? Grab a late bite with me?”
He didn’t hesitate. “Bet. Meet you outside.”
They ended up at a small diner—not glamorous, but the kind of place that felt real. Sade was deep into a story about a backstage interview gone hilariously wrong, and Jonathan, fork paused halfway to his mouth, just… watched her.
“You good?” she teased, catching his stare.
He blinked, covering with a smirk. “Yeah, yeah. Just… you really love this, don’t you?”
Sade’s expression softened. “I do. I love getting to know people, hearing their stories. Wrestling isn’t just about fights—it’s about heart, passion, legacy. And you…” She nudged him playfully. “You live that every night.”
Jonathan felt a warmth he couldn’t shake. “Yeah, well… guess I’m lucky I got someone who sees the real side of all this.”
Their eyes locked—something unspoken humming between them for a beat too long.
Later That Week – At the WWE Performance Center
Jonathan decided he needed to do something about these feelings—anything—before they started eating him alive.
So, he did what he knew best: he hit the ring. Training always cleared his head. Except, this time, it didn’t.
Every corner of the ring reminded him of Sade—because she was everywhere now. In his matches, his promos, his downtime. And it wasn’t annoying. It was terrifying how right it felt.
Finally, he stopped, breathing hard, hands on his knees. “Man… what the hell’s wrong with me?” he muttered.
A voice from behind startled him. “You good, Uce?”
Jonathan turned to see Joshua, arms crossed, watching him with a raised eyebrow.
“Yeah,” Jonathan lied, wiping his face. “Just workin’ some stuff out.”
Josh wasn’t buying it. “Man, you wrestlin’ ghosts or somethin’? What’s really on your mind?”
Jonathan hesitated, then sighed heavily. “It’s Sade.”
Josh’s eyebrows shot up, a smirk forming. “Ohhh. Sade. Say less.”
Jonathan groaned, “Man, don’t start—”
Josh cut him off, serious now. “You feelin’ her?”
Jonathan rubbed the back of his neck. “Yeah. I mean… I didn’t plan on it. But it’s like—she’s my friend, but she’s more than that, too. And I don’t wanna mess it up.”
Joshua clapped a hand on his shoulder. “Bro, when you know, you know. But if you’re already over here sweatin’ and stressin’ like this? It’s ‘cause you care.”
Jonathan looked at his brother, the truth hitting him square in the chest. “Yeah… I do.”
Lying on his bed, phone in hand, Jonathan’s thumb hovered over Sade’s contact.
He typed: “You up?”
Then deleted it.
Tried again: “Hey, you wanna talk?”
Deleted that, too.
Frustrated, he sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Get it together, Fatu.”
But deep down, he knew—this wasn’t something he could fight like an opponent in the ring.
This was something he had to face.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••Valentine’s Day was a week away, and Jonathan Fatu had one thing on his mind—Sade.
The decision to finally tell her how he felt was clear, but how he’d do it? That was where he was stuck. He wanted it to be perfect—something meaningful, something that showed her just how much she meant to him.
So, between training, matches, and travel, he found himself scrolling through ideas—dinners, flowers, maybe something personal like a custom WWE jacket with her name on it. But every option felt too small for how big his feelings had become.
The planning was driving him crazy—and, without realizing it, making him distant.
Sade Notices the Change. At first, Sade didn’t think much of it. Jonathan was busy—WWE life was hectic, and they both knew that. But as days passed, she felt it—text replies were shorter, their usual jokes felt half-hearted, and he wasn’t hitting her up to hang out like he usually did.
After their last interview together, he barely stuck around—just a quick “Good job” and he was gone.
Sade couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off.
Talking to Joshua
Sade decided to get to the bottom of it, and who better to ask than Jonathan’s twin, Joshua?
She found him backstage after SmackDown, cooling down from his segment.
“Hey, Jey,” she greeted, her voice light but uncertain.
Joshua smiled, towel draped over his neck. “What’s good, Sade?”
She hesitated briefly, then got straight to it. “Can I ask you something? It’s about Jonathan.”
Joshua’s eyebrows lifted knowingly. “Oh?”
Sade shifted her weight, arms crossing. “He’s been… different lately. Distant. Did I… do something? Is he mad at me?”
Josh chuckled, shaking his head. “Nah, you didn’t do anything.”
Sade narrowed her eyes. “Then what’s going on? We were tight, and now it’s like I barely know what’s on his mind.”
Joshua debated for a second—he knew what his brother was up to, but it wasn’t his place to spoil it.
Instead, he grinned slyly. “Lemme just say this—My brother’s head is in the game… but his heart? Yeah, that’s somewhere else right now.”
Sade frowned in confusion. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
Joshua gave a small shrug but couldn’t hide his amusement. “You’ll see soon enough. Trust me.”
Sade’s confusion only deepened. “You Fatu boys and your cryptic answers…”
Josh laughed, “What can I say? We love a good storyline.”
-
Meanwhile, Jonathan was pulling every string he could to make this Valentine’s Day unforgettable. He called in a favor with WWE production for something special during that night’s show—a personal video package with highlights of their friendship, moments from their interviews, and even a few candid clips.
His heart pounded at the thought of it. This wasn’t just a gesture—this was him laying it all on the line.
But he hadn’t spoken to her much because if he did… he’d slip. He knew it.
Sade, still confused and slightly frustrated, wondered if Jonathan was pulling away from her for another reason entirely.
But what she didn’t know was that Jonathan wasn’t pulling away—
He was getting ready to step closer than ever before.
Valentine’s Day -
Valentine’s Day arrived, and the energy backstage was electric. Red and pink decorations lined the catering area—thanks to some overzealous staffers—and the buzz of the night’s matches filled the air.
Jonathan, though? His heart was racing for a different reason. Tonight was the night. His plan was set—the video package would air after his segment. But before that… he needed to ask her. Directly.
Sade was reviewing her notes for a post-match interview when she heard a familiar voice behind her.
“Hey.”
She turned, and there he was—Jonathan, looking slightly… nervous? She raised an eyebrow. “Well, well, if it isn’t Mr. MIA. You finally decided to show up.”
Jonathan rubbed his neck sheepishly. “Yeah, about that… I’ve been, uh, working on something.”
Sade folded her arms, smirking. “Something so important you had to ghost me?”
Jonathan chuckled softly, but then his tone shifted—serious, genuine. “Nah… something for you.”
Sade’s expression softened. “For me?”
Jonathan took a small breath—this was it. “Yeah… So, listen. I know I’ve been distant, but it’s ‘cause I’ve been trying to figure out how to do this right.”
He stepped closer, his voice steady but warm. “So, I’m just gonna say it plain—Sade… will you be my Valentine?”
Sade blinked, her lips parting in surprise. Of all the things she expected—that wasn’t one of them.
Then, a slow, radiant smile spread across her face. “You mean all this time you were stressing about this?”
Jonathan chuckled nervously. “Yeah… pretty much.”
Sade shook her head with a laugh. “You really are something else, Fatu.” She paused, eyes softening. “But… yeah. I’d love to be your Valentine.”
Jonathan’s grin could’ve lit up the entire arena. “Good. ‘Cause I wasn’t takin’ no for an answer.”
Later that night, as the crowd roared and the lights dimmed for a transition segment, the arena screens flickered to life—playing a special video package.
Footage of Jonathan and Sade appeared—interviews, shared laughs, behind-the-scenes clips… their story. The final frame read:
“Happy Valentine’s Day, Sade. — Jonathan”
Sade, watching from the interview set, felt her chest tighten—warmth flooding through her.
And as the camera panned back to Jonathan, standing in the ring with a mic, he smiled toward her direction.
“Yo, Sade,” his voice boomed, “Just wanted everyone to know—you’ve already made this the best Valentine’s Day.”
The crowd erupted in cheers, and Sade couldn’t fight the grin on her face.
The cheers from the crowd still echoed faintly through the halls as Sade and Jonathan stood together backstage, the energy of his Valentine’s Day surprise still buzzing between them.
Sade pulled back slightly from their hug, her eyes searching his. “That… was unreal, Jon. I don’t even know what to say.”
Jonathan’s gaze softened, his hands lingering at her waist. “Don’t gotta say anything. Just… tell me how you feel.”
Sade’s heart pounded. She felt the weight of the moment—the years of friendship, the teasing, the laughter, and now… this.
So, she stopped thinking.
And closed the distance.
Their lips met—soft, warm, and every bit as perfect as she’d imagined. The world around them blurred into nothing, the noise fading until it was just them.
When they pulled back, Sade’s breath was shaky, but her smile was radiant. “I’ve been wanting to do that for a long time,” she confessed, her voice barely above a whisper.
Jonathan’s lips curled into a grin, his forehead resting against hers. “You have no idea how long I’ve been hoping you would.”
The unspoken was spoken, and everything felt… right.
And as they stood there, lost in each other, one thing was certain—this wasn’t the end.
It was just the beginning.

if we really wanna split hairs and talk about AUs and cross overs
Constantine exists in the Supernatural universe BECAUSE of Scooby Doo.
Scooby Doo has a bunch of crossovers, one of which being Batman. And that episode of Supernatural when they get stuck in a Scooby Doo episode that basically made it (in my mind at least) cannon that they exist in the same universe. SO WITH THAT SAID, not only do the Harlem Globe Trotters and WWE superstars exist in the SDU (Scooby Doo Universe), but Batman and Robin also exist. Which can only mean that other DC comic heroes and villains exist there.
And even if you want to argue that in the cannon SPN universe both pieces of media (DC and SD) are treated as their media (cartoons and comics alike) Alternate Universes exist, canonically. Like Sam and Dean go to alternate realities from their own. Literally go into a SD episode to fight monsters!? So that being said, there is an actual alternate reality where they all exist.
Anyways, AU fic where Constantine fights demons alongside Sam and Dean, OR Constantine has to deal with an overly chipper group of mystery-enthused teens and their concerningly literate talking dog.

SOLITUDE || 001
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hello and welcome to the debut of solitude. to all my current readers, you already know what’s up, but to new and curious readers, this installment is based off of climbing the food chain of wwe, taking place in mostly the modern era, so there are superstars spanning from 2013 the earliest to 2022..
just let me cook on the timeline a little bit okay, you'll like it LOL. there’s a lot of Twitter segments in this so i hope it’s not annoying, they’re going to die down for the most part later i promise
without further ado, please enjoy!
Tumblr media
TODAY IS THE first day of your call up. The support you’ve gotten from your friends from the training center was wonderful, but you’re still feeling antsy and incredibly nervous. Hopefully, your first day on the brand goes well..
Tumblr media
Shawn Michaels was the one to break the news that you were getting called up. You could remember it so clearly because you completely ambushed him with an excited hug once he dropped the bomb on you.
He had patted your back and told you to lighten your grip a little bit, but not without a grin on his face.
If it’s one thing you deserve, it is the chance to expand your career. You always came early, and you were always prepared to learn.
You weren’t sure how to feel when he told you that you’d be heading to the main roster.
You only started as a superstar on the indie circuit and are only used to being on much smaller channels and local shows. You couldn’t even imagine being on WWE, which was broadcast on national television!
He had seen the look on your face and quickly tried to do damage control.
“We’re soft-launching you, or however you kids say it these days,” He told you. You think he grumbled something about how social media was confusing, but you brushed him off. “As an interviewer, I mean.”
“Huh..” You give a shrug. “As long as I can wrestle sometime.”
He had assured you that you will, sooner than you think, but they just wanted to focus on your speaking. Once they (and you), were more confident, they’d allow you to be in much more opportunities.
Such is life, you guess. Get through these obstacles for a bigger reward. You gave your gratitude to Shawn as you had a lot to look forward to.
If you’re not mistaken, WWE had already posted a teaser on their twitter. For some reason, you would find yourself constantly checking the tweet.

—is what it said. The flurry of tweets under it were mixed. Lots of people wanted to know what the deal was, though some were already speculating it was an old star coming back.
However, the few fans that knew of your work had their guesses. Some of the pictures you posted on Instagram were cryptic hints, but you knew how the internet was. Crazy detective work..
But anyhow, people around the training center know that you’re pretty introverted. You only came to get some work done and go home. It was hard for others to get to know you at first.
They like to call you shy, but you’ve started to hate that word the more it’s used. It holds you back too much. You won’t make it far if you’re stuck with that description for your entire life.
Fortunately, they know what you lack in words is made up for in the ring. There’s no question that you’re good, you just tend to get nervous when speaking to the public.
At heart, you knew they wanted to help you out, and they wanted you to become the best you can be! If you start practicing, you’re sure to be a star!
As motivating as it sounds, it’s still stressful. Going out of your comfort zone was nothing new. It’s a given if you want to wrestle properly, but it still makes you uneasy.
You know you’ve gotta put your best foot forward and do this despite it. This was your only chance, and you absolutely can’t mess this up.
Most of the people still training had given you their well wishes. It’s heavily appreciated; after all, you won’t see them anymore unless they’re called up there themselves.
You think you’ll miss Carmella the most. She was your training buddy, and you think she was the most excited about you getting called up. You hope that she’ll be next soon enough….
As of right now, you look tired. You damn sure feel tired.
It causes you to lie down on the floor of the locker room. It probably wasn’t the best idea, but fuck it. You’ve already made a bad decision by staying up all night out of excitement. It’s starting to come back to you.
Of course, you came to the arena a little too early. (which was an inside joke between coaches, you’re too punctual for your own good..)
You were sure most of your coworkers hadn’t arrived yet, and you weren’t sure if you wanted to see them. It’s not that you don’t want to, you’re just nervous to meet them.
Especially since you’ll probably be half asleep and may forget their names.
Much to your misfortune, a woman comes in, sunglasses on and suitcase handle clenched in hand.
She only lowers them with a finger once you’re in view. “Oooh,” She starts, then clicks her tongue. It’s apparent that she’s mocking you already. “..You look like trash.”
“Thanks,” You say with a sigh. “It’s so appreciated.”
This is not a good start. You make the move to get up off the comfortable ground and the woman puts a hand on her hip.
She’s not very amused, moving a free hand to flip her blue hair. “Did they get me a personal makeup artist? Or…are you just everyone’s stylist? Never seen you here before.”
“I’m new. An interviewer.” You say. Giving yourself that title feels much weirder than saying you were a wrestler. “Pray tell, who am I talking to?”
She’s a little taken aback by the cynical tone in your voice but takes her sunglasses off. This woman doesn’t think she’s met her match yet.
“Of course you don’t recognize a celebrity when you’re in front of one. Let me refresh your memory a bit. How does this sound? The boss, the blueprint, the standard!” She pauses for a bit for dramatic effect. “…Sasha Banks. And I better not have to repeat myself. Who exactly are you?”
“You have a pretty name.” You start off with. Honestly, you didn’t want to make an enemy out of her as much as she wanted to make one out of you. You hope she could see that. “I’m [Name], and you’re right. I am new. Maybe we can get to know each other a bit more.”
It actually seems to work because she falters for a second. “…What?”
You hold out your hand to her and she looks at it for a moment before shaking it with a scowl. Before you realize it, she’s already taking her hand back.
“I’m assuming you’re wrestling? Do you have a match?” You quickly ask, not giving her a second to recover. “I’d like to interview you after if you do.”
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” Sasha drops her suitcase. She’s unsure if she could stand your bright personality for a second longer. You’re going to be a problem in the future. “Sorry, not sorry, but you’re a nobody. What’s the point?”
“It was worth a try. But if that’s what you want I won’t force you.” Sasha rolls her eyes at your response. You’re way too nice. “At least tell me, do you think it’s fun here?”
“Fun?” She repeats. “Tch, I know you didn’t just ask if it was fun. Get real. There’s nothing fun about being here. There’s only one thing that matters, and it’s the Divas Championship. Got it?”
“Got it.” You nod. Divas Championship…duly noted. You don’t think you’ll be going for it anytime soon. “Who’s got it?” You’ll have to ask if the standard Women’s Championship was still in circulation as well.
“AJ Lee.” She answers. It’s the least snarky answer she’s given you so far, but she reverts back to it. “I swear, I’m gonna drag her ass across the mat for that title. She makes me sick with her skipping around.”
You voice your thoughts. “She skips?” That’s one way to get to the ring. You’re curious now. “I wonder if I can interview her…she must have a lot to say about her reign so far.”
“What?” Sasha’s immediately offended. “Um, no. Who says you’re interviewing her first? You’re obviously going to interview me first.”
It’s contradictory to what she’s said before, but because of it, there’s a smile growing on your face. She notices and jabs her index finger toward you. “You can wipe that smile off your face, rookie.”
“So be it. I will see you afterwards.” You agree to interview her, doing your best to fight the smile off.
Sasha huffs and leaves the room for now. Your eyes follow her, and once she’s gone, you shrug to yourself. Wow.
Well, that’s one way to get an interviewee.
Almost seconds after her departure, your phone vibrates and you see it’s a notification from Twitter. After that, the tweets start to flow in.
What now?

@No1DivazStan: Wait…?
↳ @Sashabanksfan109: Literally like who is that??? What is she talking about?
Tumblr media
Oh boy. Now people actually are getting the idea. She even went as far as tagging you. You’re already starting to have people follow you.
Including Sasha, which was a plus!
You’re confident about things for a moment until the thought of having to talk to her live circles back. Shit, you might start to freak out a little.
You hope Sasha wouldn’t be too harsh on you, even if it were wishful thinking. Sasha’s gonna come in hot, especially if she loses. You have no choice but to adjust.
A few more moments of silence pass, and suddenly the floor is calling you again.
You immediately lay back down. How long until the show? You take your phone out of your pocket and check the time. 6:45. The show starts at around 7. Maybe 8 if there are any delays.
Would it be wrong if you took a quick nap? It’ll only be 15 minutes, but it might just be enough to keep you going for the rest of the night.
You’re already closing your eyes. You know you’re going to be unable to hit any major stages of sleep, but even just laying like this is nice.
Until the door opens. You’re shooting up from your spot, almost falling over in the process.
“I WASN’T SLEEPING.” You clarify, doing your best to stand up. The woman, who’s not Sasha this time, looks at you in confusion.
She points a finger at you. “Ya’ sure about that? From the looks of it, it seemed like you were knocked out for a second.” Her accent is the first thing that catches your attention as she starts to motion towards you.
“No, no, not at all.” You try to defend. “Can’t a woman stretch on the floor in peace?”
“Seriously, you call that stretching?” Before she can make any more sarcastic comments toward you, she turns to look at you. “I’ve never seen you around before. Got a name?”
She is trying her best to identify you to no avail. You hop up to your feet, then hold your hand out to her. “[Name]. I’m just an interviewer right now, yeah. I’m new. Who are you?”
“Becky. Becky Lynch.” She introduces, taking your hand to shake it firmly. You swear you’ve seen her before, too. Probably on Twitter. Guess Becky isn't the only one with deja vu.
You pray you wouldn’t forget her or Sasha’s name for that matter. You can’t fight the urge to yawn.
“Someone’s tired. You should go get some water before you pass out. Looks like you’ve seen a ghost.”
This is a nice change of pace from Sasha. Despite you trying to kill her with kindness, she’s just all kinds of intimidating, while this woman is…okay.
Water may do the trick. It might just be cold enough to wake you up. “Good idea. Anywhere I can get some?”
“Should be a cooler down the hall to your right.” She informs. “See, I’d offer to get it for you, but I’ve got a match to get ready for.”
“Well, thanks anyway.” But before you leave, Before you leave, you turn over to her. “This may be an assumption, but are you going against Sasha Banks?” You ask. You could be wrong, but it’s worth a shot to see.
She nods at you. “Smart girl. How’d you know?”
“I talked to her a bit earlier. She wouldn’t exactly tell me she was going in a match, but I guess it was safe to assume it was you.” You say. “If you’d like to be interviewed, I’ll be waiting backstage.”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” Becky says. She’s more concerned about you getting your water. “Go, I might be here when you get back. Don’t pass out.”
You make a noise to let her know you heard her. Did you make a new friend? You think so.
You’re still a bit disoriented from the lack of sleep. You only made it a few steps down the hall before forgetting the direction she told you to go. Great.
This hallway seemed horribly long. The more you walked, the more you felt like it extended somehow. You need a nap, but you don’t think you’re going to get it until retiring back to your hotel room.
A group of men dressed in what seems to be tactical clothes are sitting around nearby, and you find yourself approaching them in a sudden spur of confidence. It’s probably because you’re tired.
“Excuse me,” you call. All three of them look at you with curious looks, and you feel like you could just up and die right there.
Doesn’t exactly help that they’re all kind of attractive, either.
“Where can I get some water? It feels like I’m dying here.” You ask, using your hand to rub the side of your face.
To them, you looked like you had just completed a damn marathon run. One of them with short brown hair whispers something to another with half-blonde, half-black hair, and you look between them curiously.
You don’t have time for whispers. You want water. It makes you think about purposely passing out in front of them. Rude and manipulative, sure, but you’re not here to gossip!
The other one speaks up to you instead. He’s also got long hair, but you think the most noticeable thing was his sleeve tattoo. You may have been staring too long because he snapped his fingers to get your attention.
At least he wasn’t glaring at you. There was a handsome smile on his face. “You there? Don’t tell me we’ve lost you already. You just got here.”
“Sorry. I’m really tired.” You admit. “Really, REALLY tired. Water would be nice.”
“To your left,” He says. “Should be one over there.”
The exasperation in your voice is ever present when you say: “Thank you!”. You’re dying here. You’ll have to come back and thank your only savior after replenishing yourself. Turning away, you head in the direction he told you.
You don’t hear the snickering behind you as you leave. Too busy thinking about hydration at this point.
Going further down, you see that there still is no water cooler. You’re only met with a dead end, and though there are doors, the signs only tell you that they’re just control rooms.
You’re confused. Why would he send you that way? You turn around and head back the way you came as it must’ve been an honest mistake.
You see them still sitting there with smiles. “Hey, excuse me,” you call, waving your hand. “There’s no water over there. Are you sure it’s that way?”
“We know.” The man who gave you instruction earlier had said. “We just wanted to mess with you a bit. Go that way.” First day on the job and people are already trying to rib you? Goddamn it.
On the bright side, it seemed to be lighthearted. Or so you hope.
This time, you hope, he points the correct way. The only thing you can do is let out a sigh and move forward. You don’t even stay to listen to anything else he says.
"Don't take it to heart!" One of them yells behind you.
You scoff to yourself. This time, they redeemed themselves because you found that lovely water cooler. You immediately pick up the pace and reach out to snatch a cup.
Finally, cold water. You're sure you'll wake up this time. You're almost half tempted to pour some on your face, but you aren't THAT unhinged. Besides, you don’t want to waste it.
The moment you lift your cup and and take a refreshing sip, someone saying “hey” makes you look over, and you nearly spit your drink out.
The guy that had given you the wrong direction had come around. You cough up bits of water, holding a hand on your chest. “Why?! God, you scared the hell out of me!”
“Sorry.” He apologizes. You’re not so sure if it’s sincere. “Stephanie McMahon told me about you. You’re [Name], right?”
It takes you a second to reply and he looks at you expectantly. You hold your hand up. “Uh, yeah. Yeah, that’s me.” You nod.
“Roman,” He introduced himself back, setting his hands on the vest of his tactical gear. “I know it’s your first day and all, but do you know who’s in charge?”
“….Vince McMahon?” You offer with a shrug.
Roman chuckles, shaking his head. “You were close. But that’s not it. The Authority is the one in charge.” He clarifies to you. “And you’d best be on their side. Tell me, new girl. Do you plan to be on the side of justice?”
Truth be told, you’re a little intimidated. Again.
You wonder if you even had a choice right now. Before you answer him you decide to take a sip of water, this time, without coughing up a lung.
“Justice, what do you mean by that?”
“The Authority is seeking to make sure that everyone keeps in line.” He explains. “We’ve already got a hold on the men’s division, but the women’s division….”
He trails off, looking toward you expectantly.
“I’m just an interviewer.” You hold your hands up in defense. “I don’t know anything about wrestling. Like anything.”
A lie, but you don’t exactly want to get involved.
You thought it felt weird to call yourself an interviewer, but now you’re going to hold onto that title until it’s convenient enough for you….
“Don’t give me that crap. I know exactly what you are.” So much for that. Roman gets closer to you and you move back just a little. It doesn’t do much, because he’s still in your space.
You’re starting to feel cornered.
“And what I don’t appreciate is people lying to me. Listen, [Name]. Pretty girls like you are always smart. If you knew what’s good for you, you’d better—“
“Hey guys!” A new voice makes you look over Roman. “Roman…and….who’s this?” He points a finger over to you.
“[Name].” You say. This guy might be your potential savior.
He doesn’t really pester any further than that, oddly enough. “Cool. You guys wanna take a selfie?” Before you two could even answer, he’s already approaching with a phone in hand.
“Wait,” You try to stop him. “I’m not ready—“
All Roman does was glare at the camera while you were holding out your hand toward it. He’s already took it and you were caught in the worst off guard moment.
“You guys better get ready for Raw. It starts in like five minutes.” The man recommends. “Thanks for the selfie.”
He saunters off and Roman shakes his head. After the stranger had made some distance, he finally speaks to you. “I can’t stand Theory’s dumbass.”
“Theory?” You repeat. “Who?”
“Austin Theory.” He clarifies. “Won’t stop taking those stupid selfies. It’s all the goddamn time.”
You slowly nod, but take advantage of the fact Austin had said there’s only five minutes until Raw starts. “Gosh. This was such a nice meeting, but I had better get going. You know, interviews and stuff to do.”
Roman says nothing, so you take the opportunity to side-step and walk past him. However, he doesn’t let you get far before saying…
“Better think about what I said. You don’t have much time.”
You’re hoping that wasn’t a threat. And now that you think about it?
He didn’t even apologize for leading you the wrong way!
Tumblr media
You were just trying to get ready to be on television. You did everything you could to stand out for your debut, despite some people knowing that you’d show up sometime.
You can only imagine the pre-show talks around on social media. God, you hope you weren’t sweating. You think you’re just overreacting, but you feel like you’re gonna cry.
If you weren’t awake before, you sure are now.
Your phone starts buzzing again on the vanity you were seated at. The stylist who was helping you get things together had stepped away earlier, leaving you be with your thoughts.
Until now. The moment you pick up your phone and open Twitter, you groan.
Roman was right about the selfies being stupid.
Austin had posted it on Twitter. The only thing you’re really focused on is yourself. You look a disheveled mess and you’re happy you could fix yourself up a little bit right now.
You’re reeling as you read some of the responses. Although, some were funnier than others…

Along those lines of being mentioned, Austin had followed you as well. But seeing yourself being the talk of others is just surreal. You’re happy about it.
“Hey, [Name].” A stagehand calls. “You’re on in about 2 minutes. You’ll be interviewing Sasha Banks. It’s the only person you’ll be doing, so you’re free to go home after.”
Alright then. You hop up out of your seat. You looked good enough, so you didn’t exactly need that stylist to come back. Your time to shine.
You let the stagehand lead the way to where you’re supposed to be positioned. It’s a nice set up, you think. There’s a red curtain behind you as well as a television settled with “Raw” displayed on it.
“Sasha lost because of interference.” The stagehand informs you. “She’ll go on about the details. But just ask her some questions. She should be here any second now.”
You’ll try. The camera is already settled in front of you, waiting for the go ahead. As soon as he said that, Sasha comes storming into the room. He signals toward the both of you that he’s rolling.
“Wow, Sasha..!” You exclaim, shaking your head. “That was definitely……a match.”
Sasha looks at you with a scowl. “You think?! Becky only got lucky because AJ came out all peppy. I almost had her.” She complains. “I had Becky in the Bank Statement. She was about to tap…”
She literally has to stop talking and take a breath before she loses it. Everyone, even the crowd, can tell that she’s STEAMING.
“…Uh, do you think you’ll need help in the future for AJ? It looks like she’s posing a really big threat to you.” You say. “Cause’ if you’re asking me, it looks like you may need a future tag partner.”
You’re going steady, despite the fact your hand may or may not be shaking a bit. You’re just glad that this segment wasn’t out in the ring. You tilt the mic over to Sasha.
All you had to do was pretend like the camera wasn’t there and that you were having a simple conversation. Everything’s just fine.
You had hoped she would understand that you were insinuating that you could be of assistance, but she takes it the wrong way.
“What, you think I’m not good enough?” She challenges, stepping closer to you. “You think I can’t beat AJ on my own? She’s the one that needs help. That’s why she gets Tamina to do her dirty work. Let me remind you that I’m Sasha Banks. I was the NXT Women’s Champion. The Boss can handle herself in battle and she damn sure doesn’t need someone that’s gonna hold her back.”
“I get it, jeez. I was trying to help you, Sasha.” You explain. It might be a chance to get you active in the ring.
“Aren’t you supposed to be doing your job and asking me questions? I don’t need your help.” She fires back.
Whatever. You just shrug it off. “Fine. You want questions, I’ll give you questions. You tagged me on Twitter. When you tagged me on Twitter, was that you trying to put me on notice?”
It’s easy for her to bounce off of what you said.
“You clearly act like you have no idea who I am. Maybe now you’ll get a clue. As a matter of fact, you better leave that fake little sweet innocent act at the door, cause I see right through you.”
“What act? I’m just being me.” It’s true. You really are!
“Right, and Becky must be the best wrestler on the planet…hah! That’s hilarious even thinking about it.” Sasha falls into a laugh, and you fight the urge to smile at her contagious laugh. Instead, you wipe it off in order to look confused.
She takes a breath. “You know what? You wanna help me, prove it to me. You and me, a match next Monday. I know that you’re not gonna do well, but I’ll have fun destroying you anyways, rookie.”
This was your chance!! You can’t fight the excitement, so you immediately agree. “Yes! I mean, yeah. Absolutely. It’s a match, Sasha. Shake on it?”
You offer your free hand to her. Despite her gritting her teeth, she takes it.
Sasha thinks you’re too excited, but she’d be lying if she wasn’t curious to see how you’d fare against her.
Your first match is against Sasha Banks. Thinking about it seemed so surreal. You’ve got a lot to prepare for next Monday.
Sasha’s eyes seem to catch onto something behind you and she groans, snatching her hand back. “Not her—“
“I wasn’t expecting you here, Sasha!” There’s a woman who’s slightly shorter than you that comes over with a championship tucked over her arm. This must’ve been the Divas championship, if the words on the butterfly weren’t evident enough.
“You know, not after you lost. Thought you would’ve went home by now!” She holds onto it even tighter once Sasha gave her a nasty look.
“You must be AJ Lee?” You try to divert some of the tension. “It’s nice to see the divas champion face to face.”
Sasha gags, but AJ giggles at your words. She rubs a hand over the butterfly, looking at you. “Oh pssssh, this? It’s nothing major…it just means I’m the best, but seriously, nothing major. Oh, and Sasha? Sorry Tamina made you lose focus…no hard feelings?”
Sasha rears her fist back and you immediately try to jump in the middle of them. Might’ve been a dumb decision, but it made Sasha immediately freeze once you did. You’re not even sure if AJ flinched.
You’re planted firmly in between them without any plans of moving anytime soon. “Woah, woah woah, can we hold off on the fighting PLEASE?! Why don’t you guys settle it in the ring, just like me and Sasha are?”
“You guys…” AJ looks between you two. “…are wrestling each other? Huh.”
You nod at her. “Yeah. I think you should follow suit. It’s obvious you two have problems.”
“Well, you’re right. It’s not like can’t beat you again, Sasha!” AJ chimes. “Anyway, I’m going to go polish my title! Don’t wait up for me, ladies!”
And just like that, AJ skips off. Sasha slowly turns to look at you and the only thing you can do is look back at her.
“I don’t care,” She starts, pointing a finger at you. “You’re helping in whatever happens, rookie.”
“What?! Why me??” You whine. “This isn’t my issue, the only thing I’m worried about is our match.“
As she’s said earlier, she doesn’t care. “You heard me. All you’ve gotta do is be ready. When I tell you to do something, you go.”
She leaves you with that. An exasperated sigh falls from your lips.
You’ve got more than just your match to worry about now..

Let's talk about this.
CM Punk was a bigger star than everyone else when he came in. That is 100% fact. We would be crazy to deny it. He came in on legend status, 7 years of fans wondering if they would ever see him again. That's huge and he was a big get and for the first few months, whenever we saw him it felt like a big deal. He was putting in decent matches, he was doing incredible storytelling and he was adding so much value to the company.
That didn't last long. It became apparent well before the all out media scrum that he'd very much gone into business for himself and that he'd allowed his ego to run rampant. The list of names pouring out weekly that he had pissed off just kept getting larger and larger, and no, I don't think all the issues he had were his fault but a great many of them he claimed some fault in at least.
That media scrum was the perfect example of a man whose ego has been left to go unchecked for too long, someone who has clearly decided he's better than everyone else in the room and what he has to say matters more than what anyone else does.
After that, he was no longer the name he came in with. It's surprising that seeing AEW be completely fine without him didn't humble him even a little bit because when he came back, he didn't come back with any integrity or willingness to work to make AEW better, he was clearly, again just there for himself. Maybe at this point, he was already hoping to go back to WWE, who knows, but it was apparent he wasn't there because he cared about AEW and the fans knew it. It's an interesting bit of revisionist history happening right now that apparently WWE fans either willingly or ignorantly don't know that a large collection of AEW fans wanted him gone, because they were so tired of his attitude or they sensed he didn't care about AEW like they did. AEW fans are getting straight bullied on the internet because WWE fans think they are jealous or salty he went to WWE when that, honestly, for most, couldn't be further from the truth.
Of course he doesn't rate the top AEW guys highly, his actions for the entire time he was there showed that he didn't care that this was more than a job for them, this was a dream to put American pro-wrestling on the map again, this was a chance for wrestlers who dont fit the mould to do what they love on a huge stage. (Not a knock on WWE, by the way. They aren't wrestling. They specifically do not brand themselves as such.)
As for the WWE guys in AEW waiting to go back, they should be released. Let them go back. There seems to be this fear that if AEW releases talent that clearly wants to go back to WWE that it's a loss. It shouldn't be, they clearly don't have the companies best interests in mind, and if AEW is going to survive, it need people who believe in it 100%
AEW needs to refocus and they desperately need a restructure. They need more women in leadership for one. They need someone who can keep the egos in check but most importantly they need to remind themselves who they are and why they were so special to begin with. They have always been about heart, and wrestling, and having something to say, and passion. Some of that's been lost this year.
I firmly believe they will find it again, but I think the key is to move on, and keep grinding. Keep putting in work that silences the naysayers and is something to be proud of. I honestly wouldn't even mention Punk ever again, I'd literally scrub him and if the few friends he has left there don't understand why, I'd be asking them if they believe in what's best for AEW or what's best for them.
Anyways, here's a quick list of AEW stars that could carry the company on their back tomorrow and would smoke CM Punk on his best day.
- HANGMAN ADAM PAGE
- Orange Cassidy
- Ricky Starks
- Trent Bereta
- Wheeler Yuta
- Daniel Garcia
- Kris Statlander
- Hikaru Shida
- Julia Hart
- Willow
- Skye Blue
- Eddie Kingston
- Wardlow
- Bandito
- Konosuke Takeshita
- Kyle Fletcher
- Penta
- MAXWELL JACOB FRIEDMAN
(Edit: Darby Allin was originally on this list, I was not aware of his previous SA history with his ex or his alleged behaviours toward homeless people in his past. I'm genuinely sorry if anyone was hurt or offended by this.)

Nepotism? Who’s She
 (Pt1/?)
Various Wrestler (WWE, AEW) x Reader
Summary: In which reader is the daughter of the great Edge, but everywhere she goes her achievements are undermined because of her father being the rated r superstar. (There will be slight alters to how scenes actually went down)
Clash At The Castle 3/9/22
Nerves racked the girl's body, tonight she would be debuting on the main roster. with her father, his friend Rey Mysterio and Rey’s son Dominik, after The Judgement Day had betrayed her father, they needed someone to help deal with Rhea, who better then Edge’s own daughter? It did feel weird to be debuting at a pay-per-view but she was excited.
Rey gave the girl a comforting pat on her shoulder, trying to help her calm her nerves, she smiled at the shorter man and gave him a side hug. Rey and Dominiks music played as they stepped out, as did her fathers, they walked down to the ring where the Judgement Day was waiting. Edge slid in first and placed a finger up signaling for the Judgement Day to wait as he was handed a microphone by stage crew, he held it up “Now, this wouldn’t be a fair fight, if we just let Rhea run around rampant, I hope you don’t mind we brought someone along” The Judgement Day stared down the aisle as your entrance blasted, the crowd popped crazily, you’d seen social media, people were contemplating whether you would come to the main roster sooner or later, and here you are.
You slid into the ring, smirking at Rhea, as you pulled your hood down, basically mimicking her debut into The Judgement Day. She looked at you with malice as you slid out of the ring, same with her, the match started, and your boys were off to a great start.
You cheered as Dominik helped your dads secure the win, you slid into the ring and jumped into Dominiks arms, cheering as he held you then placed you down, he then turned to your dads and you watched, unaware to your surroundings from the amount of Adrenaline you had, the next few moments were a blur, you watched Dominik deliver a low blow to your dad and clothesline his, you tried to stop him but suddenly a pair of hands were wrapped around your wrists and a strong figure hovered over yours, another pair of hands directed your head to watch the carnage before you fold, Rhea slid into the ring with two kendo sticks and handed one to Dominik, you screamed and begged him not too, but the two started to launch a brutal assault on your father and Rey. Only when they were satisfied with the shattered kendo sticks that lay all over the mat and the two men who were lying defeated did they stop, and the other men let go of you.
you scurried over to them, checking if they were alright “Consider this a warning to anyone who tries messing with The Judgement Day” Come Damian’s deep voice from the speakers, you glared at them as they stepped out of the ring, you especially stared holes into the back of Dominiks Head as he made his way down the ramp.
Firday Night Smackdown 9/9/22
The next Fridat Night you took the stage, coming down the ramp with a microphone in your hand, you definitely meant business, you slid into the ring and held the microphone up “So, we all saw what happened at the clash of champions, and I don’t mean my awesome debut” I chuckle to myself, the universe pops and I sigh “I don’t know what was going through Dominik’s head, but next time I see him, I wouldn’t mind to whoop some sense into him” You spoke, you raise the microphone again but you are cut off by an ominous vocal as the once bright arena bleeds into purple and black, The Judgement Day step out, Dominik with them “Why don’t you go and say that again” Rhea challenges me, a snarl ever present on her face, I just smirk “I would whack send into Dominik and you know it, Rhea” Rhea’s face forms into a scowl as the judgement day walk down to the ring and close in on me.
Rhea steps in and moves to attack me but I duck her clothes line and slide out the ring, avoiding the boys and jumping over the barricade into the crowd, laughing the whole while, I blow kisses to Rhea and continue until I'm completely gone from the Universes line of sight.
Friday Night Smackdown 15/9/22
Liv Morgan the current Smackdown Women’s Champion is cutting a promo I am scheduled to interrupt, I walk out, my entrance music blaring obnoxiously loud as I enter, a microphone to my mouth “Liv Liv Liv, Little Lost Liv” I sing in a sing song voice skipping down to the ring “Little lost Liv! Is gonna get stripped of that title on her shoulder!” I continue to sing “But Liv probably isn’t up the the challenge” I taunt and she glares at me “I am up to it! you and me right now!” she says and I smirk, the bell rings and I hit her with a super kick, she rebounds off of the ropes and directly into my spear, where I pin her and get the 3 count “No way, did we just see the smackdown womens champion lose her title that quickly?” Michael Cole yells “I mean, thats the perk of having a highly celebrated and famous dad in the WWE” Corey Graves mocks which gets my attention, I slides out with the title belt on my shoulder “I’d like to see you get in the ring and put as much effort as I do!” I growl in his face and he shrinks in his seat.
I walk around and up the Ramp.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I laugh to myself and close my phone.
Omfg that seemed so rushed im sorry, but I hope y’all enjoyed it! but I got more plans that is gonna make this fic JUICY

ADAM COPELAND OPENS UP ABOUT AEW ‘NEGATIVE BS’ PROMO SEGMENT
Tumblr media
“I felt like our locker room, which is a pretty young locker room, I felt they needed to hear it. There’s so much negativity that gets thrown out there and I know social media is a thing I never had to encounter before that these young talent, they don’t have to but they do deal with it. I can imagine that’d be a little demoralizing.
“So being someone that’s done this for as long as I’ve done it, I thought it would be good for our locker room to hear that it’s a great thing. This company being around is an amazing thing.
“Also, within the industry, if you ask, people are going to be happy that there’s companies flourishing and not just one that has a monopoly. Even when I was with WWE I thought this is no good for the industry for there to just be one place, and I still believe that, and I believed that throughout the years where we were the only place and I was the World Champion.
“One place is no good. Imagine going to the same restaurant for the rest of your life. It’d get pretty old.”

Pip Gets High and Writes an Essay: Wrestling and Shakespeare Edition
Hello friends, today was stressful and I want to distract myself, so it is time for another writing-while-high game. For those new, here's the breakdown:
I'm about to take an edible. I'll time stamp when I took it and when I've realized it's hit. You will almost certainly realize it's hit before me
I will write this in one go with minimal editing. If I got back to edit or add a note, it will be from "Pip From the Future" who will be significantly more high
This is a topic I've thought about before, but have never sat down to write out
Additional notes:
I was super into wrestling when I was a kid in the 90s/early 2000s, fell off of it, and then was reintroduced this January when my boyfriend got me into AEW (I'm almost entirely going to be talking about AEW btw--I'm not as into WWE). So though it's become a significant hyperfixation this year, I'm still new to modern-day wrestling. Please forgive the inevitable mess ups.
2. I love Shakespeare with a passion and have taken a handful of classes and seen a lot of performances, but I'm by no means a scholar. Please forgive the inevitable mess ups.
OKAY WITH THAT: Devil's candy eaten at 10:22pm Mountain Time.
Now let's get into:
Wrestling is More Shakespearean Than Many Modern Day Shakespeare Performances
Part 1: When the Audience is a Character, Theatre Hits Different
I wrote about this in my previous weed-induced essay, but one of my favorite performances of A Midsummer Night's Dream of all time is the 2019 Bridge Theatre's version with Gwendolyn Christie (it was filmed, highly recommend checking it out on the National Theatre streaming service or...by other means). There's a whole lot to love about the production (it's so gay, guys, like SO gay), but one of the absolute highlights is the way that the stage is set up.
The stage is like theatre-in-the-round on crack. It's made up of multiple moving parts, and as the tech crew attaches and detaches parts of the stage to move throughout the space, the crowd needs to ebb and flow along with them. The actors engage directly with the audience, often as the catalyst to get them to move in order to make way for the stage changing.
Anyone who's ever studied Shakespeare, even in the most casual of ways, knows that in the original productions, especially for the Comedies, the audience was encouraged to interact with the show and actors--it was deeply immersive. The Globe Theatre isn't fully in the round, but it almost is; no matter where someone sat or stood, they could see the face of another audience member. Their shared reactions and interactions were an integral part of the experience.
This wasn't unique to Shakespeare, but this setup works particularly well when dealing with stories whose core (no matter the genre) are about visceral human experiences. Being able to feel something, whether it's joy or pain, and directly see someone else experiencing the same thing in the same way amplifies theatre in a gorgeous way. There's nothing like that feeling of connection with someone you'll never talk to.
Seeing the recorded Bridge Theatre's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream made me realize how much I missed that feeling of being completely immersed in a story, and I still feel so jealous when I watch the audience in the recording. I fucking love being surrounded by people whose bodies thrum along with my energy at a show. Shortly after watching it, I went to see a live performance of A Winter's Tale, and it was a good time--but it was on a normal stage, the barrier between the audience and the story well established. It was a show being performed at the audience, not with them.
And that's how most modern day theatre productions are, Shakespeare or not. And it makes sense from a logistics perspective--a lot of people are assholes when they're given the freedom to interact with a show. They take advantage, especially in the age of social media when the temptation to do something to make you go viral is there. And people pay a lot of money for live theatre now and don't want their experience disrupted. (it's high Pip from the future--I finally realized the thing I wanted to say here that was going to make for a better segue: Shakespeare doesn't just love the idea of an immersed audiences, he also saw the magic of "audience as character." So many of his plays break the fourth wall and are meant to be delivered to the audience not as performance but as someone sharing their deepest secrets to a friend). I get it, but in some ways it feels like an opportunity at magic is lost.
UNTIL I GOT INTO THE BIG MEATY MEN SLAPPIN' MEAT
It wasn't hard to sell me on wrestling since I already loved it as a kid, but there was one video in particular that my boyfriend showed me that flipped the switch so hard my brain lit up like Mark Briscoe got a hold of the pyrotechnics.
The video in question is Invisible Man vs. Invisible Stan, in which two invisible wrestlers fight each other. When my boyfriend first told me about this, I thought two dudes in green suits were going to come out, or that everybody was going to pretend they couldn't see two real-life dudes. But my guys IT IS A FULL FIGHT BETWEEN TWO IMAGINARY WRESTLERS.
I'm not kidding in the least when I say this video is one of my top favorite pieces of art from the modern world. It's a story told entirely by two entities: The referee (Bryce Remsburg) and the audiences. And yeah, I'm considering the audience one entity--just watch the video, the way they all meld together is WILD. The crowd is fully bought in, they all take cues off of Bryce and each other in order to collectively decide where the Invisible Man and Invisible Stan are and they move accordingly. That bit where one of the wrestlers goes up to the balcony and jumps down, and like 10 people all fall in unison as if they've been landed on--are you KIDDING ME?! That shit is some of the best improvisational collaborative storytelling I've ever seen--and it could never have happened if the audience wasn't as much of a character as Bryce or the wrestlers. Seriously go watch it, it's incredible.
"The audience is a character" is a sacred rule in pro wrestling--audience participation is the meat of what moves storylines along, and can (and has) literally change(d) the course of character arcs over the years. They set the tone for matches: for the audience back home, for the actors, and most importantly for each other. They chant together, they hold signs together, they gasp together.
(They chant "he's gay he's gay he's gay" in the kindest way those words have ever been spoken -- high Pip from the future, i went to go grab the link to insert bc i had forgot and i rewatched the video so the rest of this video.........this is not a video, but it's playing in my head as one. Anyway I'm tearing up that is such a good gay moment. Also for non-wrestling people reading this -- why are you reading this? -- that tall blonde man is named Daddy Ass. I need you all to go look up the story of how "Scissor me, Daddy Ass" came to be if you do not know it. Unrelated my keyboard feels like it's tilting)
They give the ability for actors to feel more immersed, themselves. A wild crossover I never expected: Anthony Burch (DM for Dungeons & Daddies) held up a sign for a Kenny Omega match that references a years-long storyline that's HONESTLY HEARTBREAKING LIKE JESUS FUCK THE GAY TEARS IT MAKES ME CRY THEY CALLED THEMSELVES THE GOLDEN LOVERS ARE YOU *KIDDING* ME--
(Aside: Is this the first time the edible hits and I realize the same time as you guys? Time 11:17pm, almost an hour after taking it. Or am I going to read this back tomorrow and be like "what the fuck that is gibberish.")
Tumblr media
Anyway, I'm not going to go into it (that's Super Eyepatch Wolf's job)--all you need to know is Anthony's sign stopped Kenny Omega in his tracks. His face changes as he sees the sign, and it feels like the energy from that reaction carries him through the rest of the match. It gives a beautiful additional motivation to his character actions--and it never could have happened without an audience that was alive.
TL;DR and main point of part 1: Wrestling understands theatre-in-the-round productions and audience immersion in a way that many theatres don't understand or utilize the vast power of, and I think going to a live wrestling show would finally sate that desire that the Bridge Theatre's A Midsummer Nights Dream makes me feel that I haven't been able to find.
Shakespeare would fucking lose his shit over wrestling, man. He would be like "this is real theatre, baby." I'm not joking. I think he'd think that. And not just because of the "audience as character." OH HEY WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT
Tumblr media
Part 2: Good Wrestling Stories Are Fueled By a Core Made of Visceral Human Experiences of Joy and Pain and Mortality and Legacy, Shakespeare also did that
Nailed it, what a good title
When we talk about Shakespeare not being as high bro and pretentious as the general public often thinks it is, we're not just talking about the dick jokes (though there's a lot of dick jokes).
(Aside: I'm not sure who the "we" is I'm referring to--who the fuck am i to be using academic talk i literally just spent too long that i want to admit trying to spell academic)
(Aside again: aHIGHed. Is that anything? That's nothing. Don't look at me)
Shakespeare isn't just low-brow, it's also incredibly accessible on a story level. Obviously the language is hard to overcome, but if you boil any Shakespeare story to its bones to explain to someone, they're stories almost everyone can relate to in some way:
In the tragedies:
The experience of deep grief, and the existential crisis of mortality that comes with it
Loving deeply and passionately while the world tells you it's better to hate, and the existential crisis of mortality that comes with it
The desire for legacy, how your story will be written in the minds of those left behind, and the existential crisis of mortality that comes with it
In the comedies:
The hilarity of being part of a friend group when relationship drama is going down, and you know two of your friends have a crush on each other
Having a fantasy about romping around with horny faeries in the forest
Enjoying sex jokes, twins, and weddings
Doing trans shit and then being really bisexual about it
Good wrestling, when it boils down to it, approaches storylines in a similar way of centering visceral human emotions.
So which genre is wrestling? It can be sad and happy and gay, sometimes all at once.
Wait I thought of a funnier way to say this:
Broke: Wrestling can't be put into a Shakespeare genre of Tragedy or Comedy because it's both at times
Woke: Wresting is a History
(Aside: GOD this is like the core of what I wanted to write about but it's almost midnight and I am p r o p e r high now, I keep staring off into space and my beanie is squeezing my head--if you like this next part and want me to talk about it more maybe i'll do it sober)
(Aside: I was about to go into a full aside here about Prince Nana and the ongoing bit from multiple characters that they want his weed...but we don't have time for that)
My favorite Shakespearean monologue is the "Let's talk of graves, of worms, and epitaphs" speech from King Richard II. I have those first words tattooed on my upper thigh, like some kind of pretentious slut. Anyway, the monologue is all about how kings only become kings and stop being kings due to one main thing: death. And there's this part that goes:
For within the hollow crown that rounds the mortal temples of a king keeps death his court
In a recording of Ian McKellen receiting these words, he takes a crown and tilts it at the audience until it becomes an O.
A crown is something that's coveted, given so much weight and meaning and power. And yet when you look in the middle, it's ultimately hollow.
Belts are crowns, you got I was going there, right? A wrestling belt is a stand in for a crown, it's a symbol of proven power, it's coveted beyond anything else. But ultimately, it's hollow.
And just like with kings, there's only way one to win a belt and to lost a belt.
Well like metaphorically. It's not death with this one, and it's not like when wrestlers lose their characters die off. But like defeat is a metaphor for death in this. You get me.
There are.....
Fuck my brain is fully breaking friends, lol. This weed friend has sent my mind to space. I gotta wrap it. There's some more thoughts on this, and wanting to tie some parallel stories (Orange Cassidy has big Prince Hal vibes, etc.) Maybe I'll return to this sober, or maybe this is way too niche of a crossover and no one will read this lol. If you read this, I appreciate you.
I'm truly unsure if this is readable but i gotta commit to this bit even tho i just got freaked out by my own fingers for a second (we're good now) so gonna post
/end

Lookism Random Headcannons (Because why not?)
Read the recent chapter recently and I am excited about the King of Soul's entrance (if ever)
Daniel watches anime since he thinks it's more entertaining than dramas. At some point he also wanted to become a manga artist but quickly gave up on it. His favorite is probably the classics (Naruto, One Piece, One Punch Man, DBZ, and he also likes the recent ones.)
Zack and Johan used to watch WWE matches together while Mira scolds them that they scream too loud when they're watching Royal Rumble lmao.
Undertaker was Johan's favorite WWE wrestler but thinking about it makes Johan embarrassed since he doesn't want to be seen as an edge lord or "emo or a goth" lol. Zack Lee's favorites are probably Edge, Brock Lesnar, and Randy Orton (idk I watch a little bit of WWE in my free time don't blame me).
Since Jay lived mostly alone in his apartment for who knows how long, he was thought by his butler to cook his own food since he doesn't really want to depend on them fully and make them exhausted. (Plus he's mostly bored, so why not cook and bake?) He almost burned his apartment once trying to fry an egg at first.
Hudson might not admit it but he also binges anime like Daniel. He believes that Makima sucks and the ones who defends her are simps (I mean she's a well written antagonist but her personality is a no).
Goo Kim = Cat Girl/ Cat Boy enthusiast (likes wearing low-budgeted cosplays A LOT for his own entertainment).
Goo Kim had stolen Gun's credit cards for his own shopping spree. Not once, not twice, but MANY TIMES.
Samuel might not admit it but he actually likes Jake and Big Deal. He just keeps denying it because of his ego issues.
Jerry had once owned a winter dwarf pet hamster. He properly took care for it for like 2 years and named her Bisky. But since hamsters have short lifespans, it died later on and he cried and didn't sleep well the following days since he missed her deeply. The shrine of it is still staying still on his backyard and he mostly replaces the flowers everyday or i he's not busy to pay tribute to her.
Daniel wanted to learn how to play the guitar or a ukulele but since his mom was struggling with their budget he cannot ask her to buy him one.
Jay can play drums (and teaches Daniel when having sleep overs!)
Mary can play bass and a little bit of guitar. And she secretly listens to rock, metal, and the alternative style of music since she doesn't want to be teased as emo by Vin the asshole lmao.
Avril Lavigne is the reason why Mary dyed her hair blonde you can't change my mind (not forcing you but listen to her music IT'S SO GOOD). She would like to have a friend (if not a girl friend not a girlfriend) who shares the same music taste with her to start a band.
Zack and Vin Jin used to bully kids on Roblox to boost their ego (Zack stopped because of his character development but probably Vin still does it lol).
Younger Kouji had once ate lots of candies and sweets to be "smart like L" from Death Note but almost got diabetes.
Gun and DG wears lip balms to keep their lips plump and smooth. DG had once teased Gun about being a model while Gun just smirks about it.
Mira SECRETLY LIKES Ayesha Erotica's music because of the edits on TikTok but since it's mostly explicit she's refraining to add her compositions on her Spotify playlists.
Since Vasco is mostly hardworking, there are times that he passes the exams (with the help of Jace and other Burn Knuckle members). But he just cannot push himself more to pass the Mathematics exams.
Eli had once tried to kiss Warren after their fight because of his innocence and curiosity before all the Hostel Drama. (I personally don't ship them but I just feel like it's something past Eli would do). They both cringe when they both remember it.
Doo Lee was once a Twitter influencer but because of his past dramas he was cancelled in social media.
Jibeom accidentally smashed Jihan's face when they were little when they are trying to imitate WWE stunts. Jichang was surprised to see his little brother's teeth getting cracked and falling off and he just didn't cried (it was Jibeom who shed tears because of guilt lol).
Crystal is a big fan of "vintage-core" or everything around the older eras because she believes that it doesn't only represents the beauty and evolution of human pop-culture but it also represents history. She always won on auctions to buy antique stuff and mostly donate it on museums to preserve it's structure while she kept some on her room. She almost got canceled by bidding on an authentic Marilyn Monroe's lipstick but she later on posted on Twitter that she donated it on a museum (which is not a fake news).
Gun doesn't eat too much fast-food products because he believes it's unhealthy and has chemicals to make the customers' crave for more (Goo teases him about this by dramatically eating an order of a large McDonald's French Fries in front of his annoyed face).
Ryuhei never kissed a woman in his life because of his nervousness. He secretly was weirded out by it so he lies that he had slept with many women to not be bullied by other people.
Vasco doesn't know how to properly wear a watch and a belt (ngl same I'm that stupid). He also doesn't know how to tie his shoe lace.
Jace prefers dark-chocolate rather than milk or white chocolate. Because he believes that since it has more cocoa content it can boost more of his energy and sharpen his mind and focus especially when taking his exams and quizzes.
Sally's favorite color was purple as she planned to dye her hair with her color of choice with a mix of indigo. But since she's afraid that it won't suit her, she changed her plans and went on to dye her hair with strawberry pink. She didn't expected it to look magnificent on her since Warren complimented her, so after that her favorite color was switched to baby or strawberry pink.
Mitsuki thinks that K-Pop music is cringe but she secretly has BTS, Twice, and Blackpink on her Spotify playlists. Ryuhei found out about this and she was pissed off up until this day lol.
Doo Lee once had a girlfriend who uses him for the money. She later on cheated with a new "handsome and charming" guy and when Doo found out he was FURIOUS. He later on was captured on camera beating the dude and when people found out he was canceled again on social media (pretty privileges never ends). He later on begged Daniel and Duke to make an apology video for him which looks so weird and scripted since Doo was pushing them. But luckily the drama heated down.
Magami Kenta's favorite vape flavors are watermelon, strawberry, and coffee.
Joy is very talented and skilled with nail art and she sells her products in a decent price even if it's REALLY DETAILED and well-crafted.
Sinu Han is a COMIC BOY FAN. Whether it's DC Comics, Marvel Comics, or even manga he's going to buy it. He later on posted on Twitter about how Gojo shouldn't have died since he relates to him so much (he was later on bullied by Samuel that he sounds like a weeb lmao).

I think people underestimate just how unprepared wrestling media and wrestling content creation is to deal with what’s happening.
Like how in the fuck are you allowing a company undergoing multiple civil and federal lawsuits to not be able to rebrand, but also use you as a mouthpiece in their rebranding? Why are you uncritically parroting every anti-AEW story to mask every new development of the Janel Grant suit against WWE? How come no one has tried to investigate just why Ashley Massaro and Maria Kannellis were sent to an off the books Event to Kuwait where the former was drugged and raped in a coordinated matter that it feels like it was planned and prepared?
Talking about what Tony Khan wrote on Twitter is ruining AEW? Bitch, have you read that affidavit?!

The UFC is pushing back the date of McGregor-Chandler, with Dana white wanting the fight for the fall.
McGregor’s got two fights left on his deal and has been seen ringside at a number of events being run in Saudi Arabia. The UFC is entering negotiations with media providers for their upcoming TV/streaming deal. Netflix just threw half a billion dollars at the WWE, their TKO partner company. I think we can all do the math on what is happening.

Does Shonen Jump Really Have to Be the Grand Goal?
Tumblr media
"The first place I submitted a manga to was Shonen Jump. I want to brag to the me back then, saying that I’m a Jump challenger now!" - Ken Wakui
Even though I'm in my '40s, I still love Shonen Jump stuff. I grew up on Dragon Ball. From Naruto to Demon Slayer to My Hero Academia to whatever's next, I've been there and will continue to see what Jump does. I remember once upon a time where the future of Shonen Jump was somewhat in question before My Hero Academia blew up.
Yet lately and especially after My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen ended, I've been thinking about fans who grow up via Shonen Jump series and wanting to be a part of the phenomenon. What if they want to be mangaka for the same magazine that drove their youth?
But what if those same folks got rejected? What if they learned that Shonen Jump isn't the be-it end-all of manga?
The best example of a Shonen Jump rejected mangaka is Hajime Isayama of Attack on Titan. Once told by Shueisha editorial to change things to his story and art in his submission for Attack on Titan, Isayama went to Kodansha Publishing instead. And you can say the rest was history.
Now we have another 2nd example in Ken Wakui, whose hit manga, Tokyo Revengers, became a global phenomenon. He tried to get a manga into Shonen Jump a long time ago, but was rejected. Wakui said that editorial told him to draw his story elsewhere where they would appreciate his interests. Wakui would go on to Kodansha and start off with Shinjuku Swan before creating Tokyo Revengers. He's currently back on Shonen Jump with Astro Royale, which is a story about a young heir to a yakuza family trying to help the world after a meteor hit the planet and gave a lot of people superpowers.
One can argue that Wakui went from, in the theme of WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes, undesirable to undeniable. Astro Royale has only been around since April 2024, but it's clear that Wakui intends to be a main-stay in Jump. He sounded like he always wanted to be a part of Shonen Jump.
And now I think about fans turned artists who aspire to draw for Shonen Jump. Over the summer, I've noticed how many artists tried to pitch manga ideas to manga industry professionals at U.S. anime conventions. Viz Media has taken notice of this demand and started a program for one-shot manga for future manga artists. Yet I sometimes wonder how many of them know what it actually takes to make it to Jump.
And I think about this statement from Takehiko Inoue in an interview alongside Akira Toriyama spotlighting 50 years of Shonen Jump in 2018.
Tumblr media
Then I see threads like this one on Reddit about whether it's okay to apply for Shonen Jump after having experience on other platforms like Webtoons.
It sounds like things haven't changed. Some people still find so much value in the Jump brand.
That's why I want to say that it's okay to draw for other publishers and outlets (especially for Japanese creators). The thing is about people who follow Jump (especially here in the West) can be a bit insular with their manga tastes. You get an exciting breadth of manga, but it's not the full picture. There's also exposure to some of the nasty aspects of shonen fandom like leak/spoiler culture. Another thing is that fans love to compare shonen titles (past and present) quite a lot. Some are still obsessed with a "Big 3" ideal that isn't highly relevant anymore.
Sure, there's a lot of fame and attention with being associated with Jump. But creators have to deal with the vicious weekly ranking system where deserving stories sometimes get the axe out of nowhere. There's also the problem of trying to end the story the way you want and not being able to because popularity has a curse in where certain plots get throw aside and the main plot gets drawn out longer than it should. I sometimes argue that Shueisha series focus a bit too much on style over substance at times.
That's why I appreciate the American Manga Awards. The staff behind the ceremony have done a great job in acknowledging manga from all genres and publishers (not just Viz Media's Shonen Jump). Mangaka have shown appreciation in knowing that they're being recognized by folks who know the manga world is more than just Jump. Shonen Jump may have started it all for many of us and provided value in our lives. One can use that value in a way to help promote non-Jump and other non-mainstream stories that are worthy of recognition.
The beauty of manga, whether it's the creator side or the fan side, is that there's something for everyone of all kinds of backgrounds. That should be the grand goal to promote when it comes to making manga and showcasing its rich diverseness. Manga comes from all kinds of notable places, not just the brand names.

We'll know by 3 pm EDT today but looks like the US actors union is going to go on strike today. While I do support them and the writers, who have been on strike since May, do get fair deals as a fan I'm also extremely worried about my shows and upcoming movies. The last time both unions were on strike was 1960 and I'm seeing things that the studios might drag this out for the rest of the year which means nothing that's American shows or movies will film for the rest of the year and no fall scripted shows on the broadcast networks and they wouldn't even come back in January like they were thinking but take the whole upcoming TV season off. I do think a lot of us fans need to be prepared for mass cancellations as the last writers strike the studios did this to get back at them and "save money" and now with the actors striking too and being on the brink of a recession here in the US the studios are likely going to cancel even more. So basically nothing is safe even if it was already renewed, filming, or even in post-production. There are a few exceptions and I'll break it down below as Deadline and others have posted the actors strike rules.
No filming can be done on US studio productions worldwide for both TV and movies as long as the strike lasts similar to how Covid stopped prodution
Exception to this is fully independent films/shows with no studio backing
Actors can film shows/movies that are fully produced by other countries with no US ties (British, Canadian, Australian, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, etc.)
Soap operas and daytime children's shows are under a separate contract so this doesn't affect them at all and they will film like normal (At least I still have Y&R LOL)
Wrestling like WWE and AEW aren't under any union even if some of the wrestlers are SAG members so they'll be able to keep wrestling
Actors won't be able to do any press or promotions for their current or upcoming movies and TV shows
They also can't use social media to promote their work so we'll either see actors be less active or more active
They also are discouraged from attending any cons especially San Deigo Comic Con even if the strike ends before the con next week. This one is a bit tricky since they can go to promote past work and sign autographs but can't do any panels so the union is saying it's easier if they just cancel. So I hope those fans who want refunds can get them.

Do you have any plans for tomorrow?  Just need to take the dogs to the vet, but apart from that I can do whatever I want. I'm really happy I don't have any events tomorrow – my first free Sunday in over a month :( Sucks that I cheer for the bare minimum now but such is work and such is life.
What's the longest movie you've ever seen?  Gone with the Wind is like 2 minutes shy of being 4 hours long.
What movies did you watch a lot as a kid?  I watched Toy Story constantly. To this day it's still one of my favorite kids' movies.
How many rooms are in your home?  If you mean bedrooms, we have four.
Do you ever experience imposter syndrome?  Yeah, little bit.
What was the last place you rode to in a car?  Traveled quite a bit today actually! I was driver to my sister and her friends today as they had a girls' day out – I brought them to Salcedo for their lunch, then separately I needed to drive to BGC to show up briefly for an event a client was having (the work wasn't intense; I just dropped by to make sure things were going well).
Do you have a PayPal account? If so, how often do you use it?  I have but I never use it. I've never understood how it works so I just stopped trying to learn lol. Whenever I need to deal with international monies I just course it through my dad's cc.
Are you cold right now?  No. The aircon's on but the temperature is just right – chilly enough that I'm super comfortable, but not too cold that I need a blanket or can't focus on this survey.
How old will you be at your next birthday?  I'll be 26.
Before this one, when was the last time you took a survey?  A little bit after lunch.
Can you skip rope?  Sure. I'm not nearly as good as I used to be since my body feels heavier now, but I can still definitely do sets.
Have you ever participated in a charity fundraising event?  I've taken part in fundraisers, but not events altogether.
What is your hair like at the moment?  It's in a half ponytail, but I'll give a bigger shoutout to its texture(?) – it's a lot less frizzy today since I was in air conditioned spots all day hehe :)
Do you like cucumber?  No.
What do you like and dislike about your job? (or your last job)  I like the freebies, the cool shit I get to launch, the regular opportunities to see celebrities, and the semi-regular opportunities to work with K-pop artists/campaigns. I hate the hours, the regular disrespect for boundaries, and the unpredictability of clients/brands I handle.
Have you ever had a dream job? If so, did you give up on it, and why? Or do you happen to have that dream job? My dream job in the grand scheme of things is to do WWE PR, and while I'm not quite there and the chances getting there are quite bleak, I'm still nonetheless in the same industry.
What's the last sitcom you watched?  Friends.
What car did your parents or guardian drive when you were growing up?  The first car they had was a black Mitsubishi Lancer. When they upgraded a few years after, they still went with another Lancer – but a newer model, and it was initially blue for a few years until they had it painted to white.
Do you have milk in your fridge right now? What kind?  I think we may have a carton at the moment, but idk what type.
Are you left or right handed?  Right.
If you have your ears pierced, how old were you when you got them done?  I was a few months old.
Do you have any other piercings?  No, just the one on my ears.
What was the last thing you wrote down in the notes app on your phone?  Headline options for the press release I was drafting yesterday. I silently brainstorm 24/7 and I happened to think of two catchy phrases while having lunch, so I needed to type them down before I forget about them.
Have you ever been on a winery tour?  Nope.
When was the last time you were hungover?  May was the last time I had a particularly bad hangover.
Do you still have Facebook? If so, how often do you check it? Yes, it's the most popular social media where I live. I check mine everyday just to keep updated on news and if there are new dog rescues that need to be funded so I can donate.
Are you wearing your favourite colour today?  Nope, I don't have anything in purple today.
Would you ever want to visit South Korea?  I'd love to go back but it comes with feelings guardedness(?). Koreans are notoriously racist towards Filipinos, especially the older generation who seems to see us as below humans.
Racism makes people so weird and gross and annoying.
How many times in your life have you been in love?  Once.
Do you like your name?  Yes.
