i went to a sort of museum for the socialist art of the soviet period in Sofia and my dudes

this is your reminder that there have been ridiculously skilled artists in the world that did not achieve the credit they deserved simply because of when and where they were born. like look at these. the use of lights, colors and composition is flawless. if these were in museums in western europe they would be in every art history book. these are just so beautiful i stared at them for so long

Новый мемориал у нас в Вышгороде - "Хрест Героїв" (Cross of Heroes Memorial), посвящённый воинам, отдавшим жизни, защищая Украину - совершенно нереальное произведение современного искусства. Он весь зеркальный с множеством мерцающих звёздочек, многократно отражённых в преломлении граней... Люди тоже отражаются, потому целиком я его сфотографирую в другой раз, когда никого не будет поблизости. Он правда впечатляет!

Its bafflingly difficult to find specific works to attribute to most of the artists of TES. Luckily I just found both the name of a specific world artist as well as a handful of specific examples of his work along with descriptions of what he designed/worked on (!!!)

I will be posting some of his work very shortly. Please note, while I do not typically post "in game" assets unless they are isolated on their own, I will make exceptions for specific in-game screenshots published by Bethesda artists themselves for the purpose of being part of their design portfolios.

An okay attempt scenery concept for Celesti, one of the five realms of Arinuo. The city in the sky.

There are five total realms of Arinuo, three of which are habitable, and they’re often depicted as being stacked on top of one another like so:

• The Astral Plane

• Celesti

• Midrealm

• Forbidea

• The Abyss

Even though they’re depicted as being right next to each other, They’re all technically thousands of miles apart and it’s nearly impossible to get from one to the next without the use of magical transportation.

As gen-AI becomes more normalized (Chappell Roan encouraging it, grifters on the rise, young artists using it), I wanna express how I will never turn to it because it fundamentally bores me to my core. There is no reason for me to want to use gen-AI because I will never want to give up my autonomy in creating art. I never want to become reliant on an inhuman object for expression, least of all if that object is created and controlled by tech companies. I draw not because I want a drawing but because I love the process of drawing. So even in a future where everyone’s accepted it, I’m never gonna sway on this.
