hey im 20 year old female. recently i have recognised that i practice negative self talk a lot. any advices how could i stop or atleast reduce it?
how to cure negative self talk 🤍💭
the way we speak to ourselves can majorly impact our self worth and ability to reach our goals. i remember when i first tuned into my inner monologue… i was shocked and disgusted at how horribly i was speaking to myself all day every day. i had no idea! so i began researching how to stop it and implementing as much as i could. it definitely takes a lot of active work but i’m happy to say that years later i currently hardly ever have negative thoughts about myself (or others) anymore, and when i do it’s really easy to catch and deal with.
1. tune into your thoughts
it’s common for negative thoughts to run wild through our minds without us actually even noticing. the first step is to take some time to tune in and really notice what you’re thinking. the best time to do this is in “trigger” moments, like when you’re stressed, facing something challenging, looking at yourself, reflecting on a social interaction etc. how you talk to yourself in these moments will be very revealing.
2. actively reframe negative thoughts
flip any negative thought you have into an opposite, positive thought and/or speak to yourself with compassion and nurture. a common one for me when i was stressed while working and feeling stuck was “ugh i’m so stupid!” i changed it to “i’m smart and capable of solving problems”. it will feel silly at first but the more you do it, the more natural it becomes. with time you won’t have the negative thoughts at all.
3. journalling/writing morning pages
morning pages are from “the artist’s way”, which i recommend everyone read and try at least once in their life. but you write 3 pages of free flowing thoughts first thing in the morning (ideally). no self editing, anything that crosses your mind goes down. this is where a lot of your deep negative thoughts tend to spew out, and this allows you to see them, confront them, and view them as the silly little thoughts they are. your negative thoughts are from shame and fear; you need to express them and get them out. shame thrives in darkness but will shrivel under the light.
4. practice mindfulness and staying present in the moment
so often we spiral into negativity due to overwhelm. guided meditations helped me a lot (you can find them on YouTube, Spotify, insight timer etc). you’re essentially trying to re-wire your automatic brain response so you need to be able to stop running on autopilot and actually tune into what’s happening inside by gaining some control over your thoughts. it’s literally like training a muscle so is difficult at first, but you get better at it the more you do.
5. eliminate distractions and consider a dopamine detox
we numb and distract ourselves in a variety of ways. whether it’s constantly surrounding ourselves with people, scrolling social media, binge watching tv, over-using substances or other indulgences etc… these things are fine in moderation (and actually can be necessary to overall wellbeing, i think being constantly self aware can also drive you crazy and you’re allowed to have a break) but take note of how often you are actually numbing yourself out and promoting disconnection with your mind. you need to be able to face your thoughts.
6. notice how you think about others, too
i’ve mentioned before one of my worst qualities to overcome was the fact i could be very judgemental and arrogant. i actually found this was directly related to my negative self perception - after all, what we think about others is usually actually just a projection of how we feel about ourselves, our insecurities, our fears. so i also made an effort to stop judging others and instead find positives to focus on. this worked so well to overall retrain my mind toward positivity (and also started attracting much more healthy and positive relationships into my life too).
and consider tailored support if necessary
if you struggle with any of the steps on your own, a therapist, counsellor, coach, or other professional may able to be help with more personalised guidance 🤍

I associate things with other things in a way they make sense to me because it helps me remember and that's just how I'm wired.
So as an ARMY, who listens to other groups and is gradually becoming a multi-stan. I decided I wanted to give ATEEZ a full shot because I love them and I'm very curious.
While watching the guide to ATEEZ, I realised that somehow ATEEZ members reminded me of BTS members personality wise.
Hongjoong - Namjoon
Seonghwa - Jimin
Yunho - Hoseok/Jungkook
Yeosang - Taehyung
San - Taehyung/Jungkook
Mingi - Hoseok/Yoongi
Wooyoung - Jin/Jungkook
Jongo - Yoongi/Jungkook
Again I mean personality wise and I am in no way comparing talents. They are all fantastic at what they do and how they choose to do it. And I know the background of ATEEZ is not new to ATINY but again the similarity between them and BTS is shocking to me. I can't wait to binge their discography.
PS: I have to be insane to stan yet another group with an intense universe to dive into. I need to be stopped.

DR.DK TV, also known as DRTV, is the digital streaming platform of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR). As the national public service broadcaster of Denmark, DR provides a vast array of content, from news and entertainment to documentaries and children's programs. This article delves into the features and offerings of DR.DK TV, focusing on the functionality of "DRTV/KODE" and its role in enhancing the viewer experience.
What is DR.DK TV/DRTV?
DRTV is the online streaming service of DR, Denmark's oldest and largest broadcasting company. Established to complement traditional television, DRTV allows viewers to access DR's extensive content library on-demand. The platform is accessible via web browsers, mobile apps, smart TVs, and other digital devices, ensuring that viewers can enjoy their favorite shows anytime, anywhere.
Key Features of DRTV
Vast Content Library: DRTV offers a diverse range of programs, including current affairs, drama series, documentaries, cultural programs, and children's shows. This wide variety ensures that there is something for everyone.
Live TV Streaming: Users can watch DR's live TV channels directly through DRTV, providing real-time access to news, sports, and other live broadcasts.
On-Demand Viewing: DRTV allows viewers to watch previously aired programs at their convenience. This feature is particularly useful for those who miss live broadcasts or prefer to binge-watch series.
User-Friendly Interface: The platform is designed to be intuitive and easy to navigate, with search functions and personalized recommendations to help users find content quickly.
High-Quality Streaming: DRTV offers high-definition streaming for most of its content, ensuring an excellent viewing experience.
Understanding "DRTV/KODE"
The term "DRTV/KODE" refers to a feature within the DRTV platform that enhances security and accessibility for users. It typically involves a code or a set of codes used for various purposes, such as logging in, accessing restricted content, or verifying the user's identity. Here’s a closer look at how these codes function and their significance:
1. Access Codes
Access codes are often used to restrict certain content to specific users, such as age-restricted shows or special broadcasts available only to a selected audience. Users may receive these codes through email, SMS, or other communication channels from DR.
2. Parental Control Codes
To ensure that children are not exposed to inappropriate content, DRTV includes parental control features. Parents can set up codes that restrict access to certain programs or channels, providing peace of mind that their children are watching age-appropriate content.
3. Login and Verification Codes
DRTV/KODE also plays a crucial role in user authentication. When users log into their DRTV accounts, they may be required to enter a verification code sent to their registered email or phone number. This two-factor authentication enhances security, protecting user data and preventing unauthorized access.
4. Promotional Codes
Occasionally, DR may offer promotional codes that provide access to special content, discounts, or other perks. These codes are typically distributed through marketing campaigns or partnerships and can be redeemed on the DRTV platform.
How to Use DRTV/KODE
Using DRTV/KODE is straightforward and designed to be user-friendly. Here are the general steps to follow:
Receiving the Code: Depending on the purpose, you will receive a code via email, SMS, or another communication method from DR.
Entering the Code: Navigate to the appropriate section on the DRTV platform where you need to enter the code. This could be during login, accessing restricted content, or setting up parental controls.
Verification: After entering the code, follow any additional prompts to complete the verification or access process.
Enjoying the Content: Once verified, you can enjoy the content or benefits associated with the code.
Enhancing Viewer Experience with DRTV/KODE
The implementation of DRTV/KODE is part of DR's commitment to providing a secure and personalized viewing experience. By leveraging these codes, DR can ensure that content is accessed appropriately, user accounts are secure, and viewers receive tailored recommendations and offers.
Conclusion
DR.DK TV/DRTV/KODE represents a modern approach to digital broadcasting, combining the rich content heritage of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation with advanced security and accessibility features. As viewers increasingly turn to digital platforms for their entertainment needs, DRTV continues to evolve, offering a comprehensive and user-friendly streaming service that meets the diverse demands of its audience. How to Build a Home Theater in a Box - A Comprehensive Guide
Home Theaters are a way to bring a movie theater-like experience into the comfort of your own living room. This type of setup typically involves a high-quality TV, sound system, and possibly a projector. These systems offer a much more immersive viewing and listening experience than a regular television, and can be one of the best ways to watch movies, binge-watch television shows or play video games. A home theater can also be used for a variety of other purposes, such as family gatherings or presentations.
The first step in a home theater setup is to choose the right TV. Today's high-end TVs offer an exceptional viewing experience, with stunning picture quality and a wide range of features. They are available in a range of screen sizes, and many come with built-in HD or 4K resolution and HDMI connections. A great place to start is with a 32 to 55-inch screen, but you can also opt for a larger display if you want a more cinematic feel.
Once you've chosen the right screen, you'll need to decide on a sound system. A basic home theater setup usually consists of a surround-sound speaker system, with a center speaker and speakers on the left and right side of the room, as well as a subwoofer for added bass. More sophisticated home theaters can include a 7.1 surround sound system, which creates an immersive experience for viewers and offers the same type of audio reproduction that you'd experience at the movies.
In addition to the sound techogle.co system, you'll need to install a projector and a large screen. A projection system allows you to view your content on a larger scale than a flat-screen TV, and many people prefer the image that a projector produces to a standard TV. A projector is connected to the home theater in a box through an HDMI or RCA cable, and most models also include a built-in DVD or Blu-ray player.
Lastly, you'll need to add some mood lighting. Smart lightbulbs from brands such as Philips Hue can provide a wide array of options to suit any setting, from warm, intimate glows to dynamic colors and effects that change with the music.
A basic home theater in a box should include the following:
Inputs and outputs: A good home theater in a box should have both HDMI and RCA inputs and outputs, so you can use older technologies or upgrade your system down the road. It should also have a remote control technology website for easy operation, and it should feature a CAT5 control wire to connect your home theater to your Wi-Fi, if you plan on using it to stream media. It should also have an AV receiver, which provides the audio processing and power to your speakers and serves as the hub for all your devices. This device will need to support Dolby Atmos, DTS-X, and Auro-3D to take advantage of these immersive audio formats. In addition, it should have Bluetooth or Wi-Fi capability for wireless connectivity to your other devices.

Earphones: Connect With Your Sound
In this digital world, each one of us uses gadgets at some point or another whether it’s our phones, laptops, or earphones. Earphones are gadget accessories that are not only used for listening to music but playing online games, binge-watching, and more. Earphones have a big advantage in situations like when someone wants to stay calm they can listen to meditating music, for workouts one can listen to motivating music or normal music while traveling. Earphones are basically a source when someone doesn’t want to make any interactions and ignore the world.
Finding the right pair of earphones is a task as it all depends on a lot of factors. ShopClues Bazaar also has an awesome range of branded earphones like TecSox wireless earbuds, i75 TWS Twins Wireless and more.
Wired Vs Wireless Earphones
The debate over wired vs. wireless earphones has raged for quite some time. People chose one of the category as per their convenience. Choosing the perfect earphones is actually a difficult task.
Wired earphones are a lot more affordable and long-lasting than wireless ones. These are lightweight, and there is no fear of low battery. Also, they get easily connected.
On the other hand, wireless earphones are much easy to carry and they won’t interfere with any kind of movement. Bluetooth earphones are best while working out, traveling, in online meetings, and more. Since a large percentage of the public is opting for wireless earbuds, most tech brands have stopped giving wired earphone connections in gadgets like smartphones and laptops.
Guide to check out for perfect earphones
Audio Quality
Audio quality is the foremost reason for purchasing an earphone. There is no fun in listening to anything if the sound quality is not clear. Drivers are one such essential component of any headphone that contributes to good sound quality.
Bass Quality
Bass quality is as important as sound quality for some of us. It gives power to the music. ShopClues Bazaar has an amazing range of Bass-tastic earphones which consumers would love if they listen to heavy music.
Mic Quality
Earphones are used for more than just listening to music. For a category of people like students taking online classes and corporate meetings, who are always on calls, mic quality matters a lot. That is why, before purchasing earphones, it is important to check the mic quality.
IPX Rating
Most of us are careless while taking care of and using earphones. Anything like dust, a splash of water, and sweat can damage earphones. Coming up with a solution, there are brands that have come up with a range of earphones that are rated well and can be used easily in water or during workouts. The IPX rating denotes the level of protection against water, dust, and other elements. The IPX may even indicate that the object is 'weather-resistant,' 'waterproof,' or 'dust-resistant'.
Battery Backup
If you’re choosing wireless earphones, you must check the battery life an earphone is having. Wireless earbuds often come with a charging case. When it comes to playback time, always look for the number of hours.
Noise Cancellation
It is one of the most underrated features that someone considers while purchasing earphones. For the ones who travel a lot or live in a noisy environment, noise cancellation is the best feature any earphone brand can have.
Steps to Take When Buying Earphones
Understand your purpose of purchasing an earphone whether you want it for traveling, workout, meetings, or online classes.
Setting the budget because without this you can’t make a purchase and will be confused.
Choose the right type between in-ear, ear clip, or behind the back design.
Opt either for wireless or wired or both.
Check on frequency range.
Decide whether you want accessories to make the experience much better.
Earphones especially wired should be compatible with your device.
Grab your earphone and treat your ears
So looking at above mentioned points, we hope to clear your confusion. Explore some of the top branded budget-friendly deals on earphones on ShopClues Bazaar.

Killed for a Hopeful Future (Nagito Komaeda x Reader)
Warnings: Angst, mentions of suicide, domestic stuff, detailed descriptions of murder, mentions of v/mit, potential spoilers???
Mod Ibuki: Another piece me and @call-me-ko worked on together! Execution based off this fan-made one! I hope you enjoy!
Sobs were all that could be heard throughout the small cottage.
Heavy, distraught sobs.
Nagito sat in his bed, the bed Y/N often accompanied him in. Heavy sobs racked his body. He doesn't think he's cried this hard in his entire life.
His love, his world, was gone.
It was like they were taken right out from under him.
One gunshot wound to the chest and bruises around their neck. Their leg looked broken, probably from the fall.
Y/N's body was hung from the door of strawberry house and dropped all the way to grape house's floor. Blood was everywhere due to the gunshot wound.
When Nagito saw, he thought he was going to die himself. No one told him that they were the victim. They just said they didn't know who it was yet.
He didn't get to say goodbye
He didn't get to tell them that he loved them.
He didn't-
"Nagito!" Fuyuhiko yelled. Nagito swung his head around, glaring at him.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Nagito stated. Fuyuhiko stayed quiet. "Simple question. Is it really that hard to answer?" He snapped. Fuyuhiko didn't say anything. Kazuichi shakily sighed. "W-We didn't want to make you panic."
Nagito scoffed. "A little late for that, isn't it?"
Nagito investigated your body himself. He didn't trust anyone. You were loved by everyone here, and yet you still died. It didn't add up.
Bing Bong Bing Bong
Bing Bong Bing Bong
"Nagito... it's time for the trial." Hajime mumbled apologetically. Nagito nodded slowly.
"Give me a minute..." He responded. "Of course." Hajime said softly, moving to the elevator.
Nagito dropped to his knees in front of them. Tears started streaming down his face.
"Who did this? Angel...who did this to you?" He mumbled, stroking Y/N's head. "I promise...your killer will get what they deserve." Nagito placed a kiss on their forehead.
He began making his way towards the elevator.
Justice would be served
"The murder occurred at around 5:30 am." Hajime started.
"The murder weapon was a noose found at the scene, but they also had a wound in their chest. I think a gunshot. That could be the cause of death as well." Chiaki added.
"It was the cause of death." Nagito interrupted. "How else could they have fallen?"
"Fallen...?" Chiaki asked. Nagito scoffed.
"I'm not looking to play games this trial. I want to know the blackened as soon as I possibly can so let me tell you this so you can put everything together." Nagito said angrily.
"Strawberry house and grape house are connected. It's an elevator. Y/N died beforehand via gunshot. That means the killer went to the Final Dead Room. I would know because I went there. The elevator won't move if a living thing is detected. It moved because they were dead already. The killer tied a noose around their neck and tied the other end to the doorknob. Then, they activated the elevator. Eventually, Y/N would fall because that's how gravity works. Now, figure out who killed them." Nagito snapped. He explained the murder in perfect detail, no flaw.
With Nagito's explanation, soon enough they found the killer.
"Gundham...why did you do it?" Hajime asked, a solemn expression painted onto his features.
Gundham stood silent. After a moment, he took a breath.
"We had a plan." He muttered. "Please explain." Hajime requested, taking a few glances at a fuming Nagito.
"Y/N and I agreed that we would allow all of you to escape at the expense of our lives. I completed the Final Dead Room, and we planned the murder from there." Gundham started.
"We wanted you to survive. Y/N didn't go down without a fight, nor did I. I request you remember that." Gundham looked towards Nagito. He dug through his pocket and pulled out a key. He walked over to Nagito and held it out.
"It is the key to their cottage. I didn't know if you had one or not, either or I assumed they'd want you to have it." Nagito took the key silently.
"I don't expect forgiveness, nor do I want it. But one thing I want you all to carry from mine and Y/N's demise is that you must always fight. Do not go down without one."
With that, Gundham was dragged to his execution.
And that's how he ended up in his room clutching a piece of your clothing while he bawled his eyes out.
Bing Bong Bing Bong
Bing Bong Bing Bong
"Please make your way to Jabberwock Park! Not attending will result in immediate death! See you soon! Puhuhuhuhu~"
Nagito looked at the monitor. Should he even attend? He didn't care whether he died or not.
After contemplation he decided to go. He dried his eyes and placed your belonging neatly on his bed. Nagito made his way out the door and to Jabberwock Park.
Upon arrival, everyone gave him pitied stares. He looked horrible, worse than he usually did, and he knew that.
"Are you alright?" Chiaki spoke. Nagito looked at her and stuffed his hands into his pockets.
"No, not really. But you shouldn't worry! I'll be fine." That was a lie, even he didn't believe it.
"Allow me to introduce the new motive. Future visions!" Monokuma announced. Everyone rolled their eyes.
"We aren't gonna do that shit!" Fuyuhiko screamed. "Yeah, like we'd believe it!" Nekomaru hollered after. Nagito stayed silent.
Future visions? He didn't believe in any of that, but it's worth a look, right?
When everyone left Jabberwock Park, mainly out of anger towards Monokuma, Nagito looked at the vision motive.
A character select button appeared on a screen that seemingly came out of nowhere. He selected himself. A video began to load.
"Alright, let's go see baba." Nagito cooed. He took his daughter's hands and gently pulled her to her feet. The baby giggled in response.
"Ready? One step at a time." Nagito looked up at Y/N. They sat on the other side of the living room, smiling at the two. Nagito gave them a bright smile. With small steps of his own, he guided their daughter in Y/N's direction.
Their child shook their hands from Nagito's. Nagito let go and smiled, keeping close behind her.
Y/N opened their arms and their daughter stumbled into them. Nagito hurried over with a wide smile.
"You did it, baby! I'm so proud of you!" Nagito cheered. His daughter crawled out of Y/N's arms and into his. She rested her head on his shoulder and wrapped her arms around his neck.
"And you say she isn't a daddy's girl." Y/N teased. Nagito smiled and kissed his daughter's cheek over and over, earning a giggle in response.
"Yeah, I guess I see where you're coming from." Nagito leaned forward and gave you a kiss.
"I love you, angel." "I love you too, Nagi."
Nagito stared at the screen with a mix of horror and awe. He moved his hands towards his pale face and rubbed his temples. He took his hand and selected Y/N’s character.
“Daddy! Higher!” His daughter giggled, gripping the chains of the swing. Nagito chuckled
“A little higher, okay?” Nagito compromised. She giggled and nodded. “Okay daddy!”
Y/N smiled from next to Nagito, watching as he booped her nose every time the swing came towards him.
“Baba! Look how high I’m going!” Their daughter called. Y/N giggled and nodded.
“I see! You’re almost as tall as me and daddy from up there!” Y/N said, a smile gracing their features. Nagito nodded in agreement, a huge smile on his face. He turned his head to face his lover.
“Look how happy she is.” He mumbled, chuckling everytime she giggled.
“Daddy keep pushing me!” She said when he stopped for a moment. Nagito laughed and continued pushing the swing.
“She really is such a happy kid.” Y/N smiled throughout their sentence. Nagito wrapped one arm around Y/N’s waist and used the other to push the swing.
That was his future? Or would’ve been?
Nagito put his forehead against the screen and started crying again.
He couldn’t help but feel selfish because he wanted that more than anything.
Soon enough his tears turned to crazed wheezes, laughter shaking his body.
Hope and despair mixed in his eyes once again. He had nothing to lose…
So why not get himself killed? Or better yet get them killed. It's all their fault after all, Y/N did nothing to them yet they had to die.
Bing Bong Bing Bong
Bing Bong Bing Bong
“A body has been discovered! Please make your way to the warehouse on the fifth island!”
Everyone dropped what they were doing and made their way to the warehouse next to the factory while Nagito took his time. Everything went according to plan. Now all he had to do was wait. Whether he survived the trial or not didn’t matter much to him, since one way or another he would die.
Suicide or execution was the question now.
“The victim is Nekomaru Nidai, the Ultimate Team Manager. The murder weapon is unknown, but definitely a tool of some sorts as he was taken apart.” Hajime started.
“Trip wire was found at the scene.” Kazuichi added. “So we can assume that was definitely used, especially since he has scratched on his ankles. Well, as scratched as metal can be.”
“Killer probably pressed the power button after using the trip wire, right?” Fuyuhiko questioned. Hajime nodded. “Most likely.”
Sonia put a finger to her chin. “So what you are saying is the killer used tripwire, and then powered Nekomaru off?” Hajime nodded again.
“Who would want to kill Nekomaru? He was so kind to us all.” Akane muttered. “I can’t answer that, I wish I could. But for now all we can do is find his killer.” And with that the trial was officially underway.
“So this is how it happened.” Hajime started. “Nekomaru was lured to the factory’s warehouse by an anonymous letter. He assumed whoever it was he would be able to handle, so he expected a fight. What he didn’t expect was tripwire a few feet away from the door. With his height, I wouldn’t expect him to see it either. Nor would I expect it myself. After Nekomaru fell into the tripwire, his head slammed into the floor, causing him to be weakened for a moment. It may not have been a long moment, but it was enough for the killer to rush into action and press his power button on the back of his neck. When the power button was pressed and Nekomaru was officially powered off, the killer took him apart using a variety of tools found at the market. This explains the mess of oil we found. The killer scattered his parts all around the warehouse and factory, thus leading to us having to find the parts and put them together for investigation.”
Hajime turned to the podium across from his.
“Isn’t that right, Nagito Komaeda? The Ultimate Lucky Student…”
Nagito smiled that crazed grin of his. His eyes were swirling with hope and despair once again.
“Yep! You are absolutely right!” He laughed. Hajime winced while Akane banged on her podium in sheer anger.
“Why, Nagito?” Hajime asked. Nagito continued to laugh. “Isn’t it obvious? I wanted to die!” He said as if it was nothing. Akane growled. “So why didn’t you kill yourself!?” Nagito’s laughs died down, his emotions doing a complete 180.
“Because I wanted to kill you all as well.” He said simply. Everyone looked as if they’d seen a ghost.
“W-What?” Hajime whispered. “Did I stutter? You guys were the reason Y/N died! Y-You took them away from me!” Nagito screamed. He dropped to his knees behind his podium, sobs beginning to consume him once again.
“I-I could’ve had a life with them...We w-would’ve been happy a-and I w-would’ve had a d-daughter.” Nagito mumbled weakly. “I just want Y/N...I-I want to see Y/N. P-Please just kill me already.” He pleaded.
Everyone looked at him with a mixture of sadness, pity, and fear.
“Who am I to disobey?” Monokuma said. “W-Wait, we need to talk more! We have more questions, bastard!” Fuyuhiko cursed. Monokuma ignored him. Nagito continued sobbing and clutching his podium.
“Let’s give it everything we’ve got! It’s punishment time!”
Nagito was set up straight, strapped to a wheel similar to one you’d see on a gameshow. Every section other than him was either Monomi or Monokuma.
Monokuma spun the wheel, causing him to start spinning with it.
It landed on Monomi.
Monokuma spun the wheel again. A wave of nausea hitting Nagito like a truck as his head began pounding.
It landed on Monokuma.
The wheel was spun once again. Nagito laid cursing his luck as he began throwing up in his mouth from the constant motion sickness.
The torture continued for nearly 15 minutes. A vicious cycle of spinning and choking on his own vomit.
Monokuma spun one last time, the wheel finally landing on Nagito. He smiled, elated that the torture was finally over.
Before he could blink, copious amounts of spears fired towards him. Out of many, only three struck him.
Two in each of his legs, and one in his chest.
As he slowly bled to death, all he could think about was one thing.
He was going to see them again.

The sound of a loud thud and the floor creaking made you look up from your book. Eyes going wide. Shaking in fear. You quietly put your book down, taking the throw rug off your legs as quietly as you can. Standing up quietly. Turning not to make a sound. You cautiously walked towards the kitchen. Grabbing a knife out of the knife block. Cringing at the sound as you took it out.
gulping as you walked out of the kitchen, peeping out behind the wall. You felt relief wash over you as you saw nothing there. Taking a step out from behind the wall. You felt a wave of courage as you took small steps. The knife held out in front of you. Heart rate increasing by the second.
You were so focused on in front of you that you didn’t realize something was sneaking up on you until it was too late.
You felt a strong grip on your hair. Squeezing their hand hard against the back of your head. Slamming your head against the wall hard. It startled you enough to let go of the knife. Making the knife fall to the ground.
They let out a deep grunt. Slamming your head against the wall again and again. They let go. Hastily Taking out a gun from the band of his jeans. You reach up to your forehead, feeling it is sticky with blood. Making you let out a whimper. Bringing your hand down to your eye level. You let out a whimper as you saw blood. Your head pounds.
You crane your neck towards your attacker. Giving them a pleading look. Lips trembling. Eyes welling up with tears. The guy pointed the gun at you. Making you shake in fear.
A tall, disheveled man looked down at you, with a sinister smile. Observing you.
“Please, don’t.” You begged. Scooting away from him.
He ignored your pleas. Lunging towards you, you quickly scrambled up. Only for him to grab a hold of your hair. Yanking you back to him. Then pushing your face into the ground. You tried to crawl away from him, but he grabbed a hold of your ankles. Pulling you back towards him. Rolling you over onto your back. He climbed on top of you.
You tried putting up a fight. Trying to grab his gun but to no avail. He elbowed you hard in the nose. Making you gasp. He took the opportunity to shot you in the shoulder. A sharp pain shot up and down your arm. More tears pouring out of your eyes. Your vision blurring. He shot you, again and again, all in different places, your hands going up in defence. Trying to fight him off.
He kept going till you weren’t fighting him anymore. The pain as unbearable. Blood was covering your clothes. Your body spasming. Your blood was all over him, as well as the ground. He got up putting his gun away. He stood over you looking at you with a satisfied smile. While you just looked at him through glazed eyes. Your breathing labored. Your eyes getting heavy. The guy then turned away from you, leaving you to bleed out on the floor while he exited the home. Spots danced in your vision. Darkness soon surrounded you as your breathing got slower. Heartbeat pumping slowly. The sound of your phone ringing getting distant, as your body slowly shut down…
Jay let out a sigh, as he got into his truck. Putting the keys ignition. Turning the truck on. Blasting the heat, taking out his phone. Unlocking it. Jay tapped the phone icon app. Dialing your number. The sound of the phone ringing. Jay felt an unsettling feeling form in the pit of his stomach, as your voicemail played.
“Hey, babe, I’m coming home now, I will see you when I arrive.” Jay spoke. Ending the call. He looked down at his phone. Dread washing over him.
Something just didn’t sit right with him. You always picked your phone when he rang you. His eyebrows furrowed into confusion.
He quickly put his truck into gear. Putting his seatbelt on. Pressing his foot hard on the accelerator. Speeding out of the parking lot. Going through red lights.
His mind tried to think of excuses as to why you didn’t answer the phone. Maybe you were asleep or taking a nap. Or in the shower or binge-watching or lost in a book. The more he came up with excuses the more anxious he felt.
Jay quickly parked in front the of the house he shared with you. Turning the truck off, yanking the keys out of the ignition. Unbuckling the seatbelt. Getting out of the truck, he locked it in a rush. Rushing over to the front door. Unlocking the door in a hurry. He opened the door. Just as he walked through the threshold he stopped in his tracks. His heart plummeting to the pit of his stomach. Going pale, as he saw you lying limp on the floor. Blood staining your shirt as well as the floor around you.
Jay quickly rushed towards you.
“Babe.” He cried. Tears welling up in his eyes. His heart aching.
“No.” He sobbed. His body shaking with sobs.
“Y/n.” He gasped out. His hand shakingly extending towards your wrist, picking it up and trying to find a pulse, he felt his heartache, even more, when you couldn’t find one. He then moved his index and middle finger to your neck. Feeling slightly relieved when he found a pulse, but it was weak.
“It’s okay, baby, I’m going to take you to the hospital.” He cooed. Reassuring you, but himself more than you.
“Stay with me.” He pleaded as he slipped his left arm behind your knees, his right hand resting on your lower back. Pulling you towards his chest, as he cradled you to his chest. Standing up rushing out of the door. Shutting the door behind him. His eyes were on your face the entire time. his heart beating faster by the second. He felt like he was going to be sick. He couldn’t lose you.
Tears fell rapidly from his eyes, as he unlocked his truck, doing his best to open the backseat door near the driver’s side without dropping you.
“It’s going to be okay, your going to be okay.” He reassured you. Gently laying you on the backseat. He looked at you with a pained expression. Before closing the door and getting into the driver's side without hesitation.
He put the keys in the ignition, struggling to put them in since his hands were shaking. Cursing under his breath as he cried harder. He finally got them in. Turning the key, as the truck roared to life. Putting the truck into gear. He pressed his foot hard against the gas. Making the car speed off, not even bothering to put his seatbelt on. Speeding to Gaffney Chicago Medical Centre, breaking all the road rules. Looking at you in the rear-view mirror now and then. He wiped his tears away, but it was no use they still fell from his eyes.
Jay felt slight relief as he made it to Gaffney Chicago Medical Centre. Jay didn’t bother finding a park, he went straight to wear the ambulance park. Quickly opening the door and rushing to open the backseat door. Grabbing you gently. Carrying you to the emergency area.
“HELP.” He yelled desperately. April and Maggie looked up. Rushing over towards Jay who was holding a limp, bloody you.
“Baghdad.” Maggie instructed Jay. Jay rushed over. Putting you gently down on the gurney. Grabbing a hold of your hand, as Maggie hooked wires to you. While April cut your shirt open.
Jay stared at your chest and abdomen in horror. Lips trembling.
“Jay, you need to leave so we can help her.” April spoke. Giving him a sympathetic look. But Jay wasn’t listening to he kept staring
“Page Dr Rhodes.” Maggie spoke, as she continued to examine you. April nodded her head complying.
Will noticed the commotion happening. Coming over to his brother. His hand grabbing Jay’s shoulder. Giving it a reassuring squeeze.
“Jay.” Will spoke. Looking at him with worry in his eyes. As they bagged you.
“She…” Jay barely gasped out.
Jay felt someone rush past him. Which happened to be Connor.
Connor felt his heart leap to his throat. His heart racing. He rushed over to you. Bumping into Jay in the process.
“Y/n.” Connor gasped, putting the disposable gloves on. Taking his stethoscope from around his neck. Putting the ear tips in his ear. Then putting the diaphragm in the middle of your chest.
“She’s been shot, multiple times, her pulse is weak, she isn’t responding.” April told him, as he listened to your heart pump slowly. This made him panic even more.
“Her hearts weak.” Connor sighed, taking the diaphragm away from your chest, and pulling the ear tips out of his ear. Putting the stethoscope around his neck.
“Let's do a scan, see if the bullets are still in there.” Connor ordered. Taking out his flashlight. Turning it on.
“Y/n, can you hear me?” Connor asked as he shone the light in your eyes. But you were unresponsive.
“Dilated pupils.” He sighed. Feeling more dread wash over him. Connor took a step back, as April slid a black pad underneath you, another nurse tilting you, then gently putting you back down.
All of them looked anxiously at the screen. Maggie stroked your hair.
Connor felt like his heart was being squeezed way to tight. As he saw five bullets still in you one in your shoulder, two near your stomach, one near your abdomen and the other one slightly near your heart.
“She needs to go to the OR now.” Connor spoke.
Jay stared at the screen in horror. His face was ghostly white. He felt lightheaded.
“Oh my god.” He gasped out. As Connor, Maggie, April and a nurse pulled the rails up.
Will pulled Jay out of the way as they wheeled you out.
“They are going to help her.” Will reassured Jay, guiding him to the waiting room.
“They are going to save her.” Will spoke. As Jay sat in the seat. Will crouched in front of him.
Jay raised his hands in front of him. His body trembling as a sob left his lips. His hands were stained with your blood.
“It’s okay, Jay, hey look at me.” Will spoke. Putting his hands on Jay’s hands and putting them down.
Jay looked at his brother through tear-filled eyes.
“What if she dies?” Jay sobbed out.
“She won’t, she’s a fighter.” He reassured his brother.
“I can’t lose her. I don’t think I could survive losing her.” Jay sobbed. Will gave him a pained expression. Wrapping his arms around Jay and hugging him. This made Jay break down.
“I can’t.” He sobbed….
Connor, Maggie, April and the nurse rolled you out of the elevator, rolling the gurney to an operating room.
Connor let go, going to scrub his hands. he heard the door open. Ava stormed in.
“You can’t treat her, you’re her ex.” She shouted. Making Connors jaw clench. He continued to scrub his hands.
“I’m the best option.” He spoke. Turning his head to look at Ava. She let out a sarcastic laugh.
“I’m her best choice, you’re her ex, what happens if you make a misjudgment, then what is her boyfriend going to think, that you did it out of spite because she is with Jay, not you.” Ava hissed out.
“You don’t know her as I do, you aren’t close to her, so yeah, I’m her best shot, and you're wasting my time and her time by talking.” Connor growled out. Moving towards the doors.
“Bastard.” She muttered to herself. As he turned his back to her. Opening the doors with his elbows…
“She should be out by, now right?” Jay asked his brother. Jay was pacing restlessly. While Will was sitting down. Jay’s eyes were red from crying. His cheeks stained with dried tears.
“I’ll go check.” He responded. Getting up. He gave Jay’s shoulder a reassuring squeeze when he walked past him.
Will got in the elevator. Going up. He exited the elevator going over to the desk.
“Have you seen Dr Rhodes?” Will asked the nurse at the desk.
“He’s over there.” she replied. Pointing her index finger to the room behind him. Will turned around to see Connor sitting next to you. Holding your hand to his lips. While you laid on the hospital bed asleep.
“Thanks.” He spoke. Walking over towards the room. Sliding the door open then close the door.
“So, where you going to tell Jay, she is out of surgery or were you just going to keep it from him? After all, she is his girlfriend.” Will spoke. Making Connor’s jaw clench. He untwined his fingers from yours. Delicately putting your hand down.
“She lost a lot of blood, I had to give her a blood transfusion, there were some complications during surgery, I nearly lost her. I had to put her in an induced coma.” Connor spoke, ignoring what Will said.
“She isn’t yours anymore Connor, you blew it.” Will spoke. Defending his brother.
“I know that.” Connor spoke. Standing up. His eyes were red from crying.
“I don’t think you do.” Will spoke again. Glaring at Connor.
“Have you ever thought that when she came in it affected me too? That I felt like I made a huge mistake letting her go. That the love of my life was dying.” Connor shouted. Fresh tears welling up in his eyes.
Will gave Connor a deadly glare. Connor let out a sniffle. Shaking his head.
“Jay can see her.” Connor spoke, as he gave you one last longing glance before leaving the room.
Will took out his phone. Sending Jay a quick text with the room and floor you were on. He would have gone and got him, but he didn’t trust Connor at the moment, not with what he saw.
Will looked up at you. An oxygen mask covering your mouth. The monitors showing your heart rate. Letting out a sigh. Just as he took a step, the door opened. Then shut. Will craned his neck seeing his disheveled brother.
Jay rushed over to you. Sitting on the chair Connor sat on. He grabbed ahold of your hand. Bringing it up towards his lips.
“My baby.” He sobbed. Kissing your hand repeatedly.
“She had to have a blood transfusion. She’s in an induced coma.” Will spoke. Making Jay cry.
“I promise you; I will find the person who did this to you.” He promised you. Looking at you as he kissed the back of your hand.
“I love you so much.” He sobbed.
“Please don’t die on me, please wake up.” He pleaded…...

Being Fake Soulmates with Dr. Chilton (Part 6)
<- Part 5
Frederick Chilton x Reader | The Good Place crossover
Final chapter! Warning: The Good Place spoilers, and a timeline that makes perfect sense because Jeremy Bearimy, baby.
2,800 words
“No way. It’s too dangerous!”
“I thought you said we were in this together?” Chilton quirked a brow, eliciting a petulant grumble. You crossed your arms.
“Or maybe you think I’m expendable, so you’re willing to take risks with my life. Afterlife. Whatever.”
Frederick Chilton, who was not, as originally advertised, your soulmate, nonetheless clasped your hand with gentle tenderness. I would never do anything to hurt you is what a normal person would say in that moment, and perhaps his eyes said it, somewhere deep in their searching pools of green. But Dr. Chilton had a repressed way about him, tending toward overly clinical just stating the facts (or the sarcasm). Anything but genuine, vulnerable, sentimentality.
He guided you by your hand to sit down beside him on the baroque loveseat in one of his many living rooms, studies, and salons. After you settled yourself on the velvet cushion, he leaned his shoulder against yours in that quiet way he showed affection.
“After reviewing the town records,” he said, “I believe we may be the only two humans in the neighborhood. Some of the residents are far too dull—Chidi Anagonye, the moral philosophy professor who spent his life writing a single manuscript, Jianyu the silent monk—while others are too perfect—Glen, that one who is constantly volunteering, Tahani, the philanthropist. Real people have flaws, secrets, hobbies. I can only be certain of myself and you.”
“How’d you figure out I’m real?”
“I didn’t. I simply refuse to accept the alternative,” he said with a sad smile, and you began to think Dr. Chilton was sentimental after all.
***
Their voices were muffled even with your ear pressed to the door of Michael’s office—not that it mattered much what they were talking about. You were just waiting for the signal, and at that moment, it came. Their footsteps and voices grew louder as Frederick and Michael approached, and the door handle clicked.
“—which is why cannibalism loses more good-person points than defenestration but fewer than chewing loudly on a crowded bus.”
“Fascinating. I never thought about it that way,” said Chilton, looking genuinely disturbed.
You flattened yourself against the wall next to the door, thinking thin thoughts as the pair exited the office. A tall houseplant barely disguised your presence, and if Michael had any kind of peripheral vision, he would see you standing there plain as day.
But Dr. Chilton spoke animatedly, fixing him with a challenging laser-stare as he asked a probing follow-up question. Locked in Chilton’s eyes, Michael failed to notice the movement just behind his left shoulder as you slipped through the closing door before it could latch shut.
Safe.
Michael’s office was quiet and filled you with serenity in much the same way a teddy bear is filled with stuffing: forcefully and by no will of your own. Like the welcome room with its happy green plants and happy green words on the wall assuring you everything is fine, the office peeled your defenses away. Cream-colored walls yawned out around the perimeter, punctuated with bright windows, a portrait of Doug Forcett (a stoner from the 1970s who guessed, on a mushroom trip, how the afterlife really worked), and various artifacts of humanity enshrined like museum pieces, despite seeming perfectly mundane.
At the top of the room was a large mahogany desk.
Yesterday, Chilton watched Michael put away files in the desk that he wouldn’t let him look at. Chilton was certain they were the key to unraveling the mystery, so he suggested working together—he would distract Michael while you sneaked in to find the files. It was risky, but it might have been your only chance of discovering what was going on, and if there was a way to escape.
You began poking through the desk and found stacks of papers in an unreadable alphabet. The only thing you could read were lyrics to a genuinely terrible song Michael was writing titled “Love Train to the Cosmos.”
The last drawer wouldn’t budge.
Yanking the handle didn’t work. Banging on the side with your fist failed to unstick it. It was locked. Locked drawers were suspicious. The answers had to be in there.
You eyed a mountain of paperclips lovingly displayed on a pedestal labeled “Human Things.” Snatching two off the top, you unbent and re-bent the stiff metal wire, and inserted it into the lock. Faint clicks sounded as you turned and finessed the paperclip, feeling each pin in the tumbler slide into place. Then you gently turned it, and—pop. The drawer opened.
A single manila folder stamped TOP SECRET in threatening red letters rested inside, as if waiting to be found. You picked it up and opened it, and your breath caught. They were reports on “The Good Place.” The Good Place in quotation marks. Reports about you.
A pleasant bing sounded.
Janet materialized in front of the desk. For once, she was not wearing a cheery smile.
***
Frederick Chilton had always been a selfish man. Any opportunity that could advance his career and put him in the spotlight, he would take it no matter who it hurt. “Unorthodox therapy,” he called it in his private chats with Dr. Lecter. They bonded over their shared interest in unorthodox research before he learned Dr. Lecter was a cannibal. That would have been a clue to anybody else that it was time to change his ways, but Dr. Chilton spent the rest of his years just as selfish and petty—more so, even, as his disfiguring injuries gave him more reason for spite.
He could never accept himself as he was.
By the time he died, Chilton was an intolerable asshole who paid back the world’s cruelty with his chronic foul moods and acerbic sarcasm. He kept everyone at a distance.
And yet, here, in death, he found himself worrying over someone else.
The sun was shining in the ever-blue sky, dappled by lush green foliage before reaching the two men as they strolled the neighborhood below. Michael was built like a sapling with longer legs than he knew what to do with, making Chilton nearly jog to keep pace. He had a warm smile and an outgoing demeanor—always flattering Chilton’s ego and asking for his guidance. But something malignant hid behind those smiling eyes, and Chilton’s mind kept rushing back to you, hoping you were OK.
He hoped that you were safe. Not that the plan was going smoothly. That you were safe.
There was a difference, and Dr. Chilton noticed right away that his twitchy nervousness was not wrought of self-preservation. It was a new type of panic—worse than fear for himself, which he never thought possible considering the amount of terror he had experienced on his own behalf.
To distract himself, Chilton threw himself into the role of Michael’s assistant, focusing on his task of supposedly identifying psychological issues causing problems with the neighborhood.
“Our interviews should go in alphabetical order, under the pretense of a survey—a sort of afterlife census—to avoid suspicion. It should be feasible, with only three hundred residents—”
“We know,” Michael said coolly. His voice dropped from the usual friendly, flattering demeanor, slipping off like a mask.
“You know how you are going to handle the interviews? It is imperative the subjects do not suspect they are being studied.” Chilton swallowed, knowing full well that he was talking to the real Michael for the first time.
“Don’t play dumb.” Michael smiled an entirely different type of smile, twisted and clever with no warmth in it. “We’ve been watching you, Dr. Chilton. We knew you would figure it out eventually. It was only a matter of time before you saw through a psychiatric study.”
Chilton’s interest piqued at the same time his blood went cold. He wet his lips. “Is that what all this is, then?”
The pair came to a stone bridge that arched gracefully over a reflection pool. Michael stopped midway across, leaned one of his long, pointed elbows on the railing, and cocked his head at Chilton.
“You haven’t figured it all out yet? That’s disappointing. You humans really are so dense.” His tone was so mean that Chilton took an unconscious step back. Michael only laughed and told him there was no point in running away. “But I think you’ll want to hear what I have to offer,” he promised.
Most of what you had been told about the afterlife was true, Michael explained. There was a real good place, and there was a real bad place where bad people were tortured for all eternity. But the bad place had a problem: it was boring! Humans get used to physical pain after the first few centuries, no matter how creative the punishment.
“Once you’ve flattened a thousand penises, you’ve flattened them all. I’m trying to do something new here. Innovate!” said Michael with an energetic swoop of his hand. “Emotional torture can cause the same level of discomfort, but in a more sustainable and (more importantly) entertaining way. That’s what this neighborhood is for—to study you humans and find out what makes you miserable.”
And then he offered Dr. Chilton something that grabbed his attention. The opportunity to design bad place neighborhoods.
“You are asking me to help implement psychological torture?” Chilton turned over each word cautiously.
“Oh,” Michael scoffed, “Don’t tell me you’re concerned about the ethics? Doctor, I’ve read your file.”
Chilton winced. He had done truly amoral things in the name of discovery—things it made him sick to be reminded of. Strange, though. In the past, he would have been proud to be treated as a peer by a psychopath. Not ashamed.
“Think of it, the glory, the prestige. You would be designing the afterlife for billions of souls. You will be remembered throughout eternity as the man who reformed the bad place!”
“And my soulmate?”
Chilton blurted it without thinking. It sounded so childish and naive, and sure enough, Michael shook his head and had a long chuckle at his expense.
“There’s no such thing! I thought you knew,” Michael slapped his knee. “I made it up so you would torture each other! But once again, I underestimated the human libido. You people all think with your genitals, it’s—it’s gross. Humans are gross.” He made a face. “That’s why I need your help to design a better system. With your understanding of the human mind, we can make condemned souls miserable for thousands of years.”
Chilton couldn’t muster any enthusiasm for this plan, and Michael frowned.
“If it makes you feel any better, consider this the humane option. The alternative is going back to scooping eyeballs out with melon ballers and replacing them with live bees. What do you say, doctor? Join my team.” Michael extended a hand, and Chilton eyeballed it.
“Can my soulmate—”
“Not a soulmate.”
“—come with me?”
“This offer is only open to you.”
“So they will be tortured? Alone? For eternity? In a system I help design?”
“Nothing you can do will change that. They are going to be tortured—the only person you can save is yourself, if you decide to help me.”
Frederick’s brow knit together. He thought about refusing. He really did. Abandoning you seemed unthinkable, especially after your promise to each other to stick together. But he was a selfish creature, and choosing to be punished wouldn’t protect you. If he was lucky, by teaming up with Michael, he could design a more comfortable torture for you one day.
“Maybe this will help make up your mind,” Michael said. “Hannibal Lecter.”
“Lecter?”
“He’s here. In the bad place. So far, he has been especially resistant to traditional torture. I thought you might have a personal interest in taking a crack at him?”
***
On a floating, room-sized projection screen, Frederick Chilton shook Michael’s hand. Your head fell forward, shoulders slumping. The screen flicked off and dissipated into the office air.
“This is the 764th time he has failed,” said Janet, giving a sympathetic simulation of a sigh. “We were sure he was going to make the right decision this time.”
You shook your head. “Fame and glory? Revenge? He’ll never refuse those. Trust me—he died because of them and still never learned his lesson.”
“That is what we’re afraid of. Some people never pass their tests. Fun fact!” she perked up, “Hannibal Lecter’s test is working at a Burger King where he can only cook Impossible Whoppers, and his 19-year-old manager calls him pee-paw. He gets reset every time he eats a customer. His longest record is twelve hours.”
When Janet found you snooping in Michael’s desk, you expected to be dragged away, never to see Frederick again. Instead, she explained everything to you—the truth.
A long time ago, the bad place was exactly how Michael described it—a place where souls were sent to have their orifices filled with spiders for eternity. Then he decided to try something new. Originally, he paired you with Dr. Chilton hoping you would drive each other crazy. But no matter what happened, you kept falling in love. You kept supporting each other, and taking care of each other. The same happened with his other human test subjects—they kept improving and becoming better people than they were on Earth. Eventually, Michael changed, too.
He redesigned the bad place to be a test—a chance for human souls to earn their way into the good place. At the end of each test, you either pass and go to the good place, or your memories are erased and you start over again.
“So, what happens to me now?”
“You passed. You can go to the good place now, and spend the rest of eternity in paradise. The real one.”
“And Frederick? He’ll be alone?”
Janet nodded.
“Put me back in. Reset me, and make me his soulmate again.”
“Are you sure?” Janet asked.
“I’m not going without him.”
“He would leave you behind. You just saw that.”
“That wasn’t fair. Anyone would accept that deal. I would accept that deal!”
“No. You wouldn’t,” Janet said. “You passed your test a long time ago.”
For a while, a heavy silence fell between you as you processed this. Finally, you thought of the only question worth asking. “How many times have we had this conversation?”
“762.”
“Well then,” you said. “You know what I’m going to say.”
“I do. But you retain a vague sense of your memories from previous tests. At a subconscious level, you might realize you’re tired of this.”
You smiled. A big, genuine one that balled your cheeks and creased the corners of your eyes. “That’s not how I feel at all. I think I love him more every time.”
Janet nodded, but gave one last warning before erasing your memories again. “If he never passes, you could be stuck here forever.”
“Stuck falling in love with that insecure jerk over and over again for thousands of years? Sounds like heaven to me.”
“I thought you might say that.”
***
The first day, you really wanted to punch his pretentious snobby face for thinking he was so much better than you.
The first time you laid eyes on Dr. Frederick Chilton, he was waiting behind a mahogany desk with an ancient hardcover book in his hands. Not reading it—waiting, posed deliberately to be discovered that way, and give the impression of intellectualism.
“This is your soulmate,” said Michael, introducing you.
Chilton took a step back after shaking your hand and looked you up and down critically, as if he were appraising livestock. And right away, you knew there had been a terrible mistake. Who the fork did he think he—
Fork. Fork! Why couldn’t you say fork?!
***
Bright light streamed in through the open bedroom window. The weather was always perfect here, except when some glitch made it rain caviar and jelly beans. Or that time Frederick had a vivid nightmare, and organs began falling from the sky. Every day, something horrible seemed to go wrong in the good place. Things that challenged you and pushed your soulmate to his limits.
But most mornings were like this. Quiet. A time just for the two of you.
Your fingers lightly stroked his chest, delving into the soft hairs that rose and fell with his steady breathing. You pressed a soft kiss to his skin, then another, tracing a line of them lower, over a jagged, raised line down his abdomen. His scars let you know he was waking up. This was the good place—he didn’t have to let them show. Usually, he chose to appear as a younger version of himself, before all the indelible trauma. But on peaceful mornings like this, he would let them show just so you could soothe them. He never thought he would be that comfortable with anyone. That he could trust anyone so much.
Every day, you both knew you could overcome anything, so long as you were together.

This is my Kurama Taeyang Wip along with my Sailor Venus Pullip! This whole craziness started when I began writing a kuranako fic
⁄(⁄⑅ॢ⁄˃̶͈̀⁄௰⁄˂̶͈́⁄⑅ॢ⁄)⁄
I wanted a Kurama Taeyang to go with Sailor Venus, but the don’t make them ;-; So, I made my own! When I got to this part, my buddy @cursedronin had encouraged me to post this (2 months ago... I can’t help it when I get nervous!) so here I go!
So this is what I’ve got so far, I wasn’t happy with the wig I made, though it was my first attempt, so I’m working on another that I might post later on. And if you couldn’t tell from the first image, this is NOT a professional job XD Because I watch a lot of Dollightful on youtube (She’s so awesome! I was inspired to do all this after binging all her vids) I took pics of the materials I used when putting him together. https://www.youtube.com/c/Dollightful
I got the body from an Ebay listing sold by pullipstyle: Taeyang (boy Pullip) MIO Make It Own Kit for customization in US. They have a few different ones, but for Kurama I got the Taeyang one.
For the face here’s a list of materials:
Water Colored Pencils - Faber Castell
Pastels - Mungyo Hand-Rolled Soft Pastels
Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolor Sable Brush-Round #1, 1
Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolor Sable Brush-Round #5, 5
Sealant - Mr. Super Clear UV Flat by Mr. Hobby (wear a mask and spray in a ventilated area!)
So I like to give props to my dolls (I’m trying to make the Crystal Sword for Sailor Venus, and already made her a chain, though it’s the Love and Beauty Shock one, which I like more) I decided to make Kurama’s Rose Whip to go with him! (Forewarning though, if you use florist tape, the green likes to come off onto the softer plastic of the dolls hand)
I just went on Amazon and found these for it.
KUUQA 4 Rolls 1/2" Wide Floral Tape
Mandala Crafts Anodized Aluminum Wire in 18 Gauge, Kelly Green
The wire wasn’t very thick, so I had to make three long braids and braid those together to get my end result.
This becomes his hair!
Again I just went on Amazon and found this:
Lion Brand Yarn in Cincinnati Red (Yarn MUST be 100% acrylic or styling it with a flat iron will melt it, any brand is fine) I made the wig based on Mozekyto’s guide for making yarn hair!
https://youtu.be/FdXay72gpS0
Now this one was funny! So a lot of people either print off or color a piece of cardboard and cut it to size for the chips in the eyes. But Sailor Venus has sparkly eyes and I wanted a similar luster to Kurama’s! So, I found this shimmery chip bag! (Yes, it’s goofy but it works!) Another thing that could’ve worked is stickers, shiny wrapping paper, or just nice sparkly paint.
So here is! All put together but no wig or clothes! (Thankfully he has that Ken doll bod or I’d get censored, for sure) His eyes are so sparkly! For his clothes, I looked around on Etsy and found these cute listings by HelloCoolCat
Taeyang Doll Simple Long Sleeves Tee - Color: J39. TC-4 Pink
Taeyang Doll Boots (TY05 series) Color: TY5-5 Chocolate
Taeyang Doll Long Jeans Color: J23.TJ-2 Deep Blue (These actually have a cute little snap button in the front!)
Yay! Now he’s coming together! (Yes, that’s a coat hanger bent to hold him up, I don’t have an extra doll stand yet XD) But now with the wig on, he’s got some pretty soulless eyes... >_>
Thankfully with these tools, I was able to give him some eye shines and he becomes less scary! (Yes, that’s a straw with a bit cut out of it, and yes, that’s my Sailor Chibimoon mechanical pencil, it had the perfect size ball to make circles on his eyes XD As long as I wash off the acrylic paint, it’s fine)
I used Apple Barrel Gloss white acryllic paint for the eyeshines.
It’s not an exact match, of course, so I’m continuing to work on it and hopefully post better pics in the future! (And maybe actually get a background that isn’t my little cupboard door on a stool, lol)
I want to thank @alicezap and Usami-chan (MeilinLuo13) for making materials for this cute couple and inspiring me <3

“Well,” Bad smiled. “Everyone knows that Dream the only thing Dream cares about more than himself is George.”
[CUT to Bad setting up a box and rope trap with a headshot of George inside]
“Yeah,” Bad smile grew even bigger as he surveyed his world. “I think I got this.”
As if Dream had been watching and listening in, and he was, he tagged Bad in the back with a foam rock and knocked him to the side as he ran past.

“Boys, boys,” Big Q smiled as Nate and Phantom were dragged in front of the mob boss by Sam and Purpled. “I thought we were done with all this.”
“Maybe if you weren’t causing trouble we would be,” Nate spat as he and Phantom shrugged off the people dragging him in. “Where’s Mad and Mare, you sick sadist.”
“Oh gentlemen,” Big Q grinned. “I haven’t done anything to them. Haven’t even touched a hair on their heads.”
“Bull,” Phantom told him, the vampire’s eyes turning red in anger. “You’ve got five seconds—”
“Easy now, big guy,” Big Q pulled out a thin stake of wood twisted from long wild rose stalks. “Let’s not get too hasty. I’ve got a job for you boys.”
“What is it?” Nate asked hesitantly. Even thinking about taking a job from Big Q made his skin crawl.
“Well, you see,” Big Q smiled as one of his associates, Fundy, raced in with a white fox right behind him to hand the individual some papers. “Oh thanks, kid.”
Fundy smiled brightly as Big Q looked back at them. “There’s this little group that’s been causing trouble for me for a while now and—”

Outside the bubbles, as the light and rubble cleared enough for the heroes that hadn’t been snatched up by the bubbles, were standing in the ruins of the gazebo. Each of the bubbles was at least the size of a house, the biggest were the size of a five-story building.
“The fuck was that?” Silver shouted. He was standing with J.J and Jackie.
“Silver!” Oliver was running over to them with Mini’s drive. “I can’t contact Bing!”
“You okay?” Silver asked, flying over. Mini came out of his drive and looked around frantically.
“Yes but Bing is off our network, along with the other Googles,” Oliver told them.
“That’s probably because none of ‘em[1] have any type of service or connection.” Someone was calling down to them from the top of the ruins of the gazebo. He was in a white hoodie and was looking down at them.
“Great,” Jackie spat as he braced for a fight. Two other people emerged from seemingly nowhere, someone with a red and white cameo mask, and a woman who had roses physically growing out of her hair. “We’re busy.”
“Name’s Punz,” the man in a white hoodie gestured to himself. “These are Ponk and Hannah.”
“We’re fookin’[2] busy,” Jackie spat. “What part ‘a that didn’t yeh Servers fooks get?”[3]
Punz sighed and rolled his eyes, “Well normally I don’t care what you chumps do, unless I’m paid to care. But my paycheck just got sucked into one of those bubbles and I want to get him back out.”
“Who, Dream?” Silver asked. “How long has he been here?”
Punz sighed. “Some of us happened to be in the area. Most of us are still in the Serve though. But Dream and the others who were nearby during the ceremony got grabbed.”
“How many?” Silver asked, looking at the bubbles.
“About half of us, if you include Techno and Phil, and Dream does,” Punz told him. “Okay, look, I don’t care about your team, the issue is that Dream pays me, and I like having a job so I’m going to drag him back out so he can keep wiring me money. Besides, my brother’s in there.”
“Okay so we’ll start tryin’ ta pop those fookers,”[4] Jackie decided, Silver flew up to try and get inside the closest bubble but it just bounced him back.
“Ponk,” Punz called out.
“I’m no Skeppy,” Ponk said, a book appearing in hand, “but I can make do. ‘Sides[5], Foolish is in there somewhere.”
J.J walked over to Ponk to look at the book, his pocket watch in hand as he anchored himself in a spot to start turning back time if he needed it.
The mute hero was signing to Ponk as the mage was starting to cast spells. “Hmmmm~ That one?” Ponk asked and J.J nodded.
“Who’d you find?” Punz asked, looking at the bubble.
“Don’t know, but there are four people in there,” Ponk said. “It’s not the smallest but it’s already weakening.”
Oliver seemed to realize something. “Wait, Host gave me something right before the wedding.”
“So he did think somethin’[6] was happenin’[7],” Jackie frowned.
The yellow android pulled out a box and opened it to see a note and the blue solid state drive that they had seen a couple months ago helping to power a generator with Logan’s soul inside.
On the note read:
Replace Bing’s drive with this. The bubbles are little small realities. Target weaker ones to make the stronger bubbles pop.
“That’s not good,” Oliver told them, his voice sounding rattled. “Why would Bing need his drive replaced?”
“What does his drive do?” Silver asked.
“Bing’s central drive is like a human brain, it can’t just be switched out and I don’t know what’s in this thing.”
“So let’s find Bing and figure out what’s wrong,” Silver told him.
“Okay,” Ponk spoke up. “I think I can get it open but I don’t know what’s going to happen when we get in there.
Hannah circles her hand and the ground turned into a massive rose as Ponk and J.J opened up the bubble. It didn’t pop, but it was open just long enough for them to jump in.

It was a dark, neon-lit city that looked like Egoton. But the group appeared in some official-looking military room.
Google was arguing with the Director with Red and Green right behind him.
“Oliver?” Green gasped in surprise. “You’re alive?”
Google rushed over to Mini and forced a power down and stowed his drive away.
“Where’s Bing?” Oliver asked.
“This cretin factory reset Bing!” Google glared at the Director.
Oliver looked at them in horror.
“What?” Oliver took a step back.
“Yeh[8] what?!” Jackie spat in an absolute fury. “He was a person! Yeh[8] killed him.”
“He was a faulty computer program who wasn’t even doing his job,” the General snapped.
Google hit his limit and shot the Director right between the eyes. All the organic beings in the room startled and yelled in surprise.
“What did you do?” Silver stared at him in horror.
“That was for what he did to Bing!” Google snarled.
Oliver pulled out the drive he’d been given from the Host, “The Host gave me this, he told me to replace Bing’s drive with it.”
“Why? What’s on it?” Google demanded.
“I don’t know, but if Bing’s already been reset then it couldn’t harm him anymore than the humans already have.” Oliver was desperate, frantic.
“Let’s just find him,” Silver said, glancing down at the Director and he realized he wasn’t sure if the man was real or not.
Fortunately, the group didn’t have to go far because Bing came to them. Or at least what was left of him. It was Bing as he normally looked, minus the dark sunglasses, his eyes a glowing, angry orange. His usual stance was far more upright and tense, and any humor was gone.
“Bing?” Oliver whispered fearfully.
“Memesis Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta,” Bing said in a fully robotic tone, his usual way of speaking was also gone, “you will submit yourself for a factory reset or be terminated.”
Silver looked around the room, it was too enclosed, there were too many people. When the Google androids didn’t do what Bing wanted he moved to attack them, Google moving in front of Oliver to protect him.
Jackie tried to race in to help and was barely fast enough to avoid getting his leg crushed by the malevolent android.
Silver was trying to keep Bing off of Jackie or anyone else more breakable but he realized something with grim certainty: Bing was going to start killing people.
Silver flew back to get some distance and speed and then snapped forward in an instant the bubble popped and they were back on the ground where they had all started. Bing’s mechanical body arced and jolted as Silver held the mangled and destroyed remains of Bing’s central drive in his hand.
“No!” Google shouted in horror, everyone just staring at Silver in horror. The android raced forward, aiming to crush Silver’s neck in his hands but Silver flew out of the way.
“We have a replacement drive,” Silver reminded him. “I wouldn’t have done that if we didn’t have that drive.”
“I don’t know what’s on that!” Google roared, pulling out lazers and trying to murder Silver.
Oliver came behind Google and began looking Bing over, a look of panic and fear on his face.
“He was still physically there, if that drive doesn’t contain his personality there’s no way to rebuild him,” Google snarled.
“The rest of his core is intact,” Oliver announced, “we just need to fix some wires.”
Google stopped and looked back at Oliver, trying to not look at Bing’s remains. “Fine, try it.”
Then the android glared at Silver, “If this doesn’t work, Silver, I will destroy every atom of your body.”
“Right,” Silver told him but still kept his distance.
“The only thing this world had going for it was that Bing loved it,” Google told him as he knelt down next to Oliver who was frantically trying to repair the frayed wires and crushed metal.
Google pulled out the drive and just stared at it. His nanites helped to print and construct materials.
Jackie raced over to Silver, keeping an eye on Google. “We need ta[9] find Logic,” Jackie told Silver, “maybe if we do he can help—”
At that moment, there was a little sound and Bing’s little orange accent lights came online and everyone braced for another attack but after a couple more minutes, Bing got up and looked around.
“Googs? What are— Where am I?” Bing looked confused, his voice back to normal, before he looked alarmed as he checked the day’s date. “The drive?”
Google began to fret over Oliver, “Do you have any faulty programs? Glitches? Did that drive have any malware attached to it?”
“I’m running a diagnostic right now, dude,” Bing told him. “Give me a minute.”
“So what was the deal with that drive, thought Logic would have broken that thing?” Silver asked.
“Dunno,”[10] Bing shrugged. “Host had me use that drive that Spade trapped Lo in, said I would need ta[9] make a backup of myself an’[11] that it had enough room. Guess he was right. Might need ta[9] be filled on everything that happened for the past couple ‘a[12] months.”
Ponk and J.J tore open another bubble, a rumbling shock rippled out towards the other bubbles.
“Show time!” Punz called out.
“Bing is staying with me,” Google ordered. “And if you can find Logic I want him here too.”
“Yeah, havin’[13] all the brainiacs together is prolly[14] fer[15] the best,” Jackie agreed.
“Let’s go!” Punz said and Hannah began to construct another rose to jettison them up, making Silver and Jackie race after them as they jumped into another bubble.
