you both sleep soundly that night cuddled up against one another. jungkook wakes up around 4:30 in the morning to get dressed and leave by 5 but before he does, he gives you a kiss on your temple and places a chain on the nightstand for the ring and he notices the ring is still on your finger even in your sleep.

he caresses your sleeping head then makes his way out and onto his long day of work, your day starts four hours after his. you do your usual morning routine, eat fruit for breakfast and take care of bam’s needs before you’re off to school with your promise ring on the silver chain jungkook got you.

yerin and hyuna absolutely ADORE the ring jungkook bought you and even tease you a bit about it. although yerin isn’t the fondest of it, again, she’ll support you until the end. you two have moved past the club incident and if you’re happy then she’s happy but she can’t shake that dangerous feeling anytime you mention him.

once school is over, you head to the coffee shop to work your regular five hour shift with yerin, which goes by fast. before you head back home, you visit your mother who is always happy to see you with her nurse. you both talk, laugh, and of course she’s wondering where your boyfriend is because she loves him more than you sometimes.

you press a kiss to her wrinkled cheek and head back to the penthouse to get started on your long list of homework. you freshen yourself up, put your hair in a high ponytail, slap your glasses on and get to work. you still take care of bam, of course, but your main focus is homework and filling out the internship applications with hopes of being accepted by any of them.

hours and hours pass, the clock reads 1:45 AM and there’s still no sign of jungkook. you shoot a text his way to make sure he’s okay and he texts you back that he’s wrapping things up with mr. hwang’s daughter. ‘still?’ you think to yourself but you try not to allow your thoughts to make you feel insecure because your man literally TATTED YOUR NAME.

as the days pass, jungkook begins to arrive home later than 1AM because of “mr. hwang’s daughter” who you’re convinced is his dad or is some hot model that he’s gotten extra comfortable with because he’s been returning home late too consistently and he barely has time for you anymore.

it’s mr. hwang’s daughter this, mr. hwang’s daughter that and you’re tired of hearing about this girl. it makes you want to impulsively pop up at his job just to see this damn girl but you know better than that. you would never jeopardize jungkook’s career like that and after finally being accepted into the internship in LA for 9 months, you won’t allow it to jeopardize your happiness.

“you got in!!! you gonna tell jungkook?” asks yerin and hell yeah you are! you’re excited to stay in LA for 9 months and it’s such a good mention on your résumé. your career seems to be going in the right direction and your mother is just as proud when you bring it up to her.

as you excitedly arrive in the penthouse, you are running in with a bright smile on your face and when you see jungkook, you’re happily shouting “i did it! i did it! guess what, kookie? guess who’s going to LA for 9 months!!” you cheer but you notice the smile doesn’t reach his face…

You’re going to be away from him for God knows how long. Of course he’s not damn happy about your LA internship. As you excitedly sit on the couch beside him and gush about everything.

And he listens to you, he feels sick, absolutely sick. He’s not happy for you at all. ��When did you apply for this, again?” He asks you after you’re finished talking.

Jungkook knows he’s being cold with you right now but it’s all he can do besides getting angry and reacting. “So you’re saying that you’re going to be in another continent for whole 9 months?” He presses his lips in a thin line.

“Congratulations yn.” He whispers, barely audible because he’s about to scream. But… he doesn’t want to break your heart.

“I-I’m not happy about the fact that it’s going to be in another country… why? WHY?” He suddenly questions you.

“Y-You’re going to leave me.”
