hello! may i ask where you get such cute clothes/how you put outfits together? <3
hihi!!!
about 50% of my closet is thrifted/secondhand — i'm blessed to live in a major city, so i've got lots of thrift stores and vintage stores and clothing exchange stores nearby, which is helpful. i also use websites like poshmark/depop/etc. a lot. my wardrobe has a lot of non-bimbo-y clothes in it (my outfit today is positively little house on the prairie, and there's also a lot of nonsexual kawaii stuff, some punkier stuff...); if i was just referring to the pieces that fall into the bimbocore vibe i usually wear on here, the thrifted percentage probably jumps to 75%.
and of the clothes i am buying firsthand, most of that isn't particularly bimbo-y. i don't shop firsthand fast fashion for ethical reasons, which is unfortunately where a lot of that stuff lives now. etsy can be a great place to find basics like crop tops and tube tops, and it has sooo much cute lingerie. you can totes just search "bimbocore" there too, which is fine. a lot of my stuff is from taobao shops like kelly kitty, crazy girl, diamond honey/diamond sweetheart, and hard candy/yingtang.
as for how i put my fits together, that's pretty vibes based a lot of the time in a way that makes it feel hard to describe. a lot of it, especially at the beginning, was trying to recreate fits i liked — a pastel crop top and a miniskirt are fairly easy to find and purchase once i decide that fit is cute, and if you're looking to expand your wardrobe that's a good place to start. i think, particularly if u want to be read as a bimbo at a glance, one thing to keep in mind is that it's sort of socially acceptable to be showing off one part of your body that's "sexualized" (ie cleavage/underboob/midriff/ass/thighs/etc) — like, for the most part, if someone's showing a lot of cleave, they're probably now showing off a whole ton else. so an easy way to make even a more "normie" outfit look slutty is to show off two or more. lots of cleavage AND a miniskirt? a miniskirt AND your midriff is showing? underboob AND ass? etc. when i really wanna be read as a slut, i try to show off at least 2 parts of my body that are read as slutty, 3 if i can. i find that that always makes for a cute slutty fit almost regardless of what i'm wearing.

i need more fashion rants from you bc i love looking at new jeans fashion or closet accounts on instagram and i always want to buy everything they show !! and more brand recommendations BC YESSS I LOVE IT!!
im actually going to yap so much but i will try my best not to yap TOO much i genuinely talk so much ab things that interest me anyways
okay so i always stalk newjeans fit igs and whatnot to find brands of pieces that stnad out to me, one being yuminha just because of its cute and colorful design. i think yuminha has rly good pieces that add details to outfits i mean i bought one of their belts and i always wear it with darker outfits and my low-rise jeans so ppl can see it and it just gives outfits pops of colors
and i don't think i can afford this anytime soon and neither would it be accessible to ppl that... aren't newjeans, but paolina russo has such amazing apparel for the same reasons i listed for yuminha. they're just sooo cute and so complex yet fun and lively which i like a lot (ex: in their supernatural dance break one i think they wore it, but fact check me idk i can't remember the exact one)
there's also brands that are more known that they happen to wear such as polar skate co, jaded london, and ofc designer brands. idk like i don't shop for their exact brand usually, however, i like to use their fits as references. initially, i actually bought the how sweet album just bc yk... dani... adn it was my birthday, but then i saw the little photobook adn time to time i just look at it to take inspiration for fits but its quite cold so i cant rn... i think their best outfits were def during how sweet and supernatural like there's nothign beating that because you can take their looks and tone it down a bit or completely take inspo which i really like.
^for example danielle's outfit with the orange zip up and baggy jeans is so simple yet sooo nice and i have an outfit so similar it's just a different colorway. i'm also a big fan of the accessories and the shoes they wear so i pay attention to those, but i def purchase and save things according to the style i like because they def dress more feminine from time to time in contrast to me who... who dresses futch idk. i take a lot of inspo from minji fs.
also not newjeans related but i own one popeye magazine and i'm planning to buy more, they have a tonnnn of fitspo on there and the one i have has a ton of outfits from diff ppl WITH the brand; the magazine showcases outfits on people from montreal, london, seoul, etc, a lot of cool cities that have ppl with wonderful style.
i can't even lie my style is soooo basic and i'm trying to level it up. when i say basic i mean think of an asian male who listens to wave to earth and take their style and that's me... i fear... im like every other bitch i swear... today i literally went out in a gray hoodie, a puffer over it, baggy jeans, and timbs. my frineds were like 'you look like a guy lowk' so i fear that is what i give... but usually i just wear loose baggy clothes bc idk i like that style
anyways brand recs idek bro im broke i usually shop at h&m for most of my basics but ive been lookign to get thermals from uniqlo. i also shop at old navy sometimes and get a ton of other basics off depop and when i thrift (once in a blue moon).
ummm brands ive been looking at are cfierce, yuminha, rhinodickpill LOLLL, ummm basics on asos, ssense brands, calvin klein (bc of newjeans and also their denim looks good), and idk i just wander around pinterset and look for unique brands soooo and also i def look at a lot of japanese brands just bc i rly like the style and ALSO a bunch of french and british ppl idk but yeah
thats it idk i just ranted and stuff i can't really think of anythign else :-p

hi abigail! i hope it’s ok to ask about this - where do you get your amazing jewellery from and do you have any tips on building up a collection? every time you’re draped in gorgeous layered necklaces it’s like 💔💔 so so good!! kiss!
hi lovely !! thank you so much omg and of course it’s okay to ask :-) honestly happy to share anything i can when it comes to styling stuff lol but yes !!
i’ve had a lot of my jewellery for years tbh and if i’m honest and a lot of it is secondhand ! i’m lucky to have lots of charity shops/vintage stores in the area i live/work so i always like to nosy what there is whenever I can, i really recommend if you’ve got any secondhand stores near you to never miss the jewellery section, often it’s not a lot of stuff but you can find some beautiful stuff sometimes !! if you’re able to too, if you go to an area that’s got a lot of like.. rich people living in it (lol) check out the secondhand stores there ! because i’ve found charity shops in areas with more people with money usually have more jewellery than other charity shops idk ! but also there’s online too like vinted/ebay/depop/etsy - just of course have an idea what you’re looking for and use the search tools to really narrow it all down !
i do buy new quite a bit with jewellery though, some of my favourite places to get them is regal rose (i usually wait for them to do a sale though unless it’s something i know i realllllyyy want), livia wednesday (everything is handmade and so beautiful ! because it’s handmade it is a bit more expensive but in my opinion it’s totally worth it.. i’ve got quite a bit from her and i’ve never personally had any issues !! easily my favourite place to get jewellery with pearls and whatnot hehe), i’ve also got a bunch of things from mysticum luna before (i haven’t so much these days because their recent collections haven’t quite been for me but i do still love the things i have and really recommend them !!), and for cheaper stuff/costume jewellery i do like asos !! they’ve got sooo much stuff and i love the tool bars because it means you can really narrow down what you’re looking for which is helpful and doesn’t mean you’re scrolling for hours through thousands of products ..
another thing i do is buy charms and add them to my own chain or earring hoop !! charms are everywhere and usually pretty cheap, so if you get various chains of different lengths and thicknesses or pearl beads or whatever you’re wanting, you can add the charms to them (i find them a lot in charity shops too and they’re always like £1 or something super cheap) - going off this too i like to move my jewellery about, like today for example i have a locket with a skull on and i changed it’s chain to a shorter one so then it can be stacked different with another necklace than what i usually do y’know ? it just means i don’t always have to do the same stack of necklaces every time, i can change them about to work with my outfit easy too and it keeps it all a bit more fresh looking i suppose !
oh and see if your parents/grandparents have any old jewellery they’d give you !! honestly you’d be surprised, i asked my dad not long ago and he gave me a lot of old rings from dead relatives i had never met and some then random but very cute bracelets hehe :-) and if there’s anything you don’t really want anymore see if any of your friends would wanna trade with you (same with clothes too if you have friends who are the same size and have the same style as you !)
for building up a collection honestly i’d say to just get pieces you know you’ll keep for a long time (hopefully forever !!) and getting pieces that you know you can wear with loads of different things etc if you get me ? like easy to dress up or down !! and of course make sure you look after your jewellery :-) i’m not sure what else i can suggest other than that i’m sorry !! but yeah i hope all of this was some help to you at least :-) take care <33 mwah mwah

i’m not very active on here recently but ummm im really close to eating rn which sucks so im gonna write a bunch of random stuff on my mind to distract me
i like the feeling of hunger
i want th1nner arms sooo bad
i wore one of those early 2000s women’s shirts and lose rise pants today and looked so fucking good i couldn’t stop looking at myself in the mirror all day because i can see myself getting smaller
my ‘diet’ recently has been; waking up whatever time i wake up and if it’s before 9 am then i eat something (i try not to eat a too much but it’s usually something unhealthy sadly because we don’t really ever have healthy stuff that i like), and if it’s past 9 am then i wait until 10 am and take my adhd meds (make me lose my appetite like fucking LIFE SAVERS i love them sm), then i survive on drinks for the rest of the day and go to sleep hungry. wake up and repeat !!
it’s night rn so i’m just about to go to sleep but i’m like thinking if i should eat or not, i hope i don’t lose my self control because i know it’s really bad to eat before bed or after 7 or whatever
i want those stupid fucking cheese puffs oh my GODDD
i wish i knew how to pvrge fr it would be so helpful
i wanna weigh myself tomorrow morning. it was my birthday a few days ago and i let myself eat like a normal person and i accidentally binged so i had been scared to weigh myself for a while now but i think i’ve gotten back on track now so i’ll try and weigh myself tmr and maybe i’ll update here if i don’t forget
really into low rise recently (actually fucking despise high rise at all tbh) so i think i might try to sell my high rise shit on depop or something and use the money to buy stuff i’ll actually wear but i might wanna wait till i’m lighter
okay i think that’s it so far !!!! i will try not to eat tonight so we’ll see how that goes !!!!!

are there any brands u would recommend buying from to get the sort of energy as in ur outfit posts? specific aesthetics don’t matter bc everything u post is immaculate <33
uhmm ive posted a lot of fits on here sooo not quite sure which i should answer to.... but i think ur best bet for looking sexy is 1) buy vintage, depop is actually p good if you know what you’re looking for, 2) don’t be afraid to customise ur clothes, w printing, embroidery, etc and 3) you deserve some beautiful handmade/small boutique clothes if you can afford it occasionally. dress so people know who u are, mwah!

Depop Rant🍭🛍
Tumblr media
I am a vintage lover, I admire the way people dressed ✨back then✨ and take inspiration from them. I love to find rare old pieces in thrift stores etc. (even before it was popularized on social media) ( I hate modern SUPER trendy appealing to the masses fashion, that’s why I like this y2k girly aesthetic so much! Plus cuz it compliments who I am)
But due to COVID and life in general I haven’t been able to go to a physical thrift store. So I turned to depop which is an app that is literally just an online thrift store.
At first (before it was popular) it was great you could find expensive, rare or REALLY old stuff on there for REALLY cheap. Then the prices went up but it was fine cuz you could find all of that good quality stuff. But know we come to my main frustrating issue.
Now everything is completely OVERpriced and you can’t find ANYTHING you’re looking for. I searched for 2 or 3 hours STRAIGHT hours to find cute little graphic y2k baby tees like these
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That just show little aspects of my personality and are cutesy overall.
The problem is depop for some reason thinks that people don’t want to see tops like these? And will literally show things that are what I searched but they are either straight up UGLY or they have NOTHING to do with what I’ve searched, or the colors are not what I was looking for or they are not baby tees (baby tee is just the fit I want, like I don’t want a big baggy t-shirt) I screen shooted for proof.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like what???😑
And it gets Sooo discouraging so I eventually give up. But little baby tees like this are very useful and make it easy for me to look effortlessly put together. I’ve tried filtering but making your search more specific only makes this worse?
Does anybody know where I can get these types of baby tees for cheap and good quality(no AliExpress) or a specific brand or shop I can buy from?
Because my first (physical) year of high school is this year and I want to look as sweet and prissy as possible. Y’all know my aesthetic so can u help a girl out?

Help a girl out💕
Sooo my Etsy didn’t do so good. I have now switched over to depop, which is cool since I can list more items! I currently have makeup I’ve hardly used as well as some earrings I’ve made. I’m hoping to post more, especially clothes!!! I need this as an extra source of income since my entire family is relying on my cheque as well as my moms. It’s gotten to the point where we are charging groceries to our credit card. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! My depop store name is somethingsouthern

wait pls tell me how u took/edited ur depop pics ... they look so good + i've been putting off posting any of my stuff bc i couldn't find a cute enough way to present it
this is how I felt about setting up depop for sooo long even right up to the moment I finally took the photos LMAO it was definitely one of my biggest setbacks because I felt intimidated by trying to take a good picture in enough light with a clear enough background... etc. etc. Basically I don’t have a clean environment to take a decent pic, and I don’t like taking pictures of myself, so I just ended up laying down a white sheet on my bedroom floor and then lay out the clothes on it, took pictures from above, at a time where there was decent natural light coming into my room, and then I used this app on my phone called MagicEraser to get rid of the background. I save the pic as a png, then to add the colour I just go on picsart and mess around with the ‘fit’ (?) feature which is like a quick and easy editing tool for instagram posts (cause depop has the square image limit so it works for that too)... And voila. I definitely took inspiration from my friends depop (@ pink_noise_7_hours) its a really easy way to make your stuff look more attractive without having to go to all the trouble of setting anything up.
