Scenario part 2: Being followed from home (Sukuna)
Sukuna was a bastard and we all knew it. Even in the relationship, when both of you had ups and downs he was still his same self. (Don't ask how you got into the relationship it just happened.)
You worked evening to late shifts at your job since you took classes in the morning. Daily you took the train from one station to commute to your desired places. Normal days as usual when you got a call from your boss saying he will raise your pay. But you had to work two shifts during the late nights until morning. Hesitated you did, but accepted because you needed the money. Although you explained to your boss this will be the final time you do this work and he agrees with you.
"Hey Sukuna", You called from your cell phone. He was at the grocery store buying you two dinners. "Yeah?" He picked up, as you heard busy noises in the back. "I'm at work right now and I won't get off until 4 am since my boss is raising my paycheck. We have to call off dinner!" You told him. "Why would you tell me that NOW woman, I'm at the store," Sukuna said. You felt bad that he was gathering food and expecting you two would have dinner. "Sorry, Sukuna I'll make it up for the both of us, I'm getting off the phone. See you in 7 hours or whenever I get home, okay?" You hung up the phone.
In your long shift with only 2 breaks consisting of 20 minutes each, you went back to the front desk to take the orders of the customers. It was mainly empty in the lobby as it was you, one of your coworkers, and the janitor there. Bored you flopped yourself on the counter and took a quick nap until someone came in. It was 2 am as you looked up again at the clock. Nobody was there but you. "Have they gone home already?" You said. "One more hour until I go home I wonder what Sukuna doing right now." You mumbled to yourself. To your surprise, a "click" at the front door caught your attention. At the door, were two men dressed in formal clothing. Wonder what they were doing at a burger shop at 2 am was none of your Business so you took their order.
"Hi what can I get you?" You said.
One of the men smiled at you but the other remained silent. "Yes, I would like a double cheeseburger with a coke no fries." He said taking off his hat to reveal a bald spot. "Sure! That will be $15.23, want your receipt?" You said but he declined. "What bout you sir?", You said to the other man but he didn't reply. Instead, he sat in the back of the establishment. That was weird you thought but you quickly got that out of your head, as you prepared the order. Cooking the bald man kept eyeing the other one, looking at him rather suspiciously. But he didn't move a muscle just sat there texting on his phone. You peeked behind the counter and accidentally made eye contact with him. Your heart was racing because you didn't mean to do that but you got the other guy's order ready.
Marching back to the counter, you gave the man his food and received the money. He waved goodbye and only remained the man on his phone. Walking carefully back to the break room you gathered your belongings and texted both sukuna and your boss that you were leaving. He texted back it was fine to leave without locking since he was coming back at 7 am. You replied alright but told him about this man that was still here. Your boss replied that You need to tell him to leave since he could get arrested.
"Hey, Sir! The place is about to close so you need to leave the establishment." He looked up at his phone and just glared at you. You didn't even bother to ask him twice but quickly left to go to the train station.
"Hey, sukuna I'm off of work now and heading home!" You texted him twice. He didn't respond. "That's so weird he always answers me, what's going on?" You were engaged with your phone that you were almost about to miss the train. "NO wait for me!" The captain looked at you angrily as you stepped onto the train with your ticket. You sat in the middle row as usual and put on your headphones before you departed. It was 5 am the sun barely even out with darkness lingering around in the sky. It was pretty peaceful being out this late. Minding your business looking outside from your window seat you saw a man glaring back at you from behind. It was the man from the restaurant. Your heart stopped.
Slowly you inched your way to the front seat to be near the conductor. Luckily he saw you eyeing the creepy man and asked to come to the front. Up there the man came forward but the conductor wouldn't let him. He shut the door where it was the two of you before your stop. It was light in the station where he pulled up. "Quickly get off and hurry to the police, I'll hold him!" He shooed you away as you ran off the train. "SUKUNA! SUKUNA! Please help me there's this creepy man following me!" You left him a voicemail as you ran down the road to get back home. Running down the street a black figure was chasing after you.
"AHHHHHHHHH!" You screamed tears running down your face. You wouldn't think a situation like this would happen to you. You made a turn down the street to see no lights only a telephone box. You ran to it and lock yourself in there. Crying you dialed 9-1-1. "Please-Help me there's this creepy man near me I need help." You whimpered until he came to the light. It was Sukuna. "Y/N."
Sukuna had blood stains on himself. You didn't know why until asked. "Sukuna-a", You got out of the telephone stand to hug him, "this man was c-chasing me and I was so scared!" Tears watering down your face as Sukuna comforted you. "Y/N" He lifts your face to see a smirk on his face, "I ripped his head off for you." Your eyes widened with shock but didn't care since the man was a stalker. As long as you were safe, Sukuna will always be there to protect you from any harm's way.

hm, boring
parings; jean kirstein x reader x marco
content warning; relationship with sharing, hair pulling, face fucking, degradation, spanking, squirting, horse cock marco, + someone additional listening in
“jeannn~ ‘m tired. come cuddle with me pleaseee~”
“EREN WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING WE’RE ON THE SAME SQUAD!?”
there he goes, ignoring you. nothing new though. every single night jean would be on his god damn game with his friends. night time was the only time you two could spend together because of your jobs getting in the way. he doesn't even like eren yet he choose playing with him over paying attention to you? tch, what a joke.
that's when the idea popped in your head. you reached over to the nightstand, grabbed your phone, and opened your messages.
hey bodt! come over and hang with me n jean, haven't seen you in awhile :)
y/nnn!!! i was actually just doin some work at the cafe by your apartment! guess i’ve been overworking myself that i haven't had the time to come hangout with my best friends :(( but since it’s friday i guess ill drop by ≧◡≦
yeah it’s not good to overwork yourself! we’ve missed you, see you soon !
yup ;)
:)***** sorry y/n clicked the wrong button (・_・ヾ
its fine haha, see ya bodt!
you giggled to yourself. yeah, he was your and your boyfriends best friend, but he really was adorable. such a gentleman.
well that's when he isn't drilling into your tight little cunt while jean jacks off to the sight...
“who were you texting now that you’re all giggly?”
“just inviting someone over!”
“who.”
that came out not so much like a question
“marco! we haven't seen him in awhile.” you said while walking up behind jean in his chair.
he spun around in his chair and looked up at you, patting his lap. of course you weren't going to refusing sitting in his arms, so you snuggled into his lap.
“simp. hi y/n” you faintly heard from jean’s headset
“SHUT UP YEAGER YOU CANT EVEN GET A GIRLFRIEND”
you took his headset, since they were just in the lobby of a game, and put it over your head.
“hiiii eren.”
“give me that you little shit.”
you lightly slapped him on his cheek and got up to sit back on your bed, hearing him chuckle.
little did you know you were going to regret thet later
it wasn't long before you heard marco knock on the front door.
you ran out of the bedroom and unlocked the door for him, greeting him with a warm hug.
“ok so i kind of lied. i just wanted you to come over. but that's only because jeans ignoring me!”
before giving him a chance to respond you took his arm and dragged him to the bedroom.
“hey hey jean!”
“hey bodt - EREN STOP IT YOU FUCKING BASTARD.”
you rolled your eyes and plopped down onto your bed, marco following behind you. you knew that jean has an agreement to share you from time to time, so you cuddled up into his strong arms, resting your head on his broad chest.
he smiled and squeezed you tight. but when jean saw you two from the reflection, he was mad. he knew that he shouldn't have a reason to be mad though, he was the one rejecting giving you the much needed attention. he didn't know if it was because marco was the reason you were smiling right now, or the fact that his hand was roaming a little too far up your thigh.
but what jean didn't know was that marcos been... well, sexually frustrated. like he said before, he been burying himself way too deep into work. being a CEO was a lot of work, even for someone as bright as marco. he used to go at it a little too frequently, but now he never even has the chance to jack off.
so what was his real reason for coming here.
“eren are you there? eren? erennn”
not bothering to shut anything off he put his head set down on his desk and walked over to you and marco.
“you guys hungry?”
you slowly opened your eyes, looking over to jean.
you and marco both nodded your heads.
15 minutes later the three of you were gathered in the living room, you and jean sitting on either side of marco.
everyone was laughing while jean teased you as always. but when you went to go playfully smack his head? the cup of ice cold water in your hand tipped over and spilt all over marco’s jeans.
“ ‘m so sorry hold on!!”
you ran up and into the kitchen grabbing a hand towel. you came back to the couch, sitting back in your spot, taking the towel, dabbing it all over the stain on marco’s pants. you didn't know why he was blushing to an extent though.
“its, its fine y/n! its just water it’ll dry”
you removed the towel to reveal a huge bulge in his pants. so that's why he was so embarrassed.
“im sorry, im sorry! ive just been really frustrated lately and-”
“just help him, y/n.”
marco let out a relived sigh when you got onto your knees in front of him. you slowly brought your hand up to his zipper and pulled it down. he then helped you pull of his pants and boxers just for his erection to spring up and hit into his stomach.
he never failed to impress you, he was defiantly bigger than jean. long and girthy with a few veins running down the shaft, pre-cum dribbling out of the tip.
without saying a word, you took his cock into your hands slowly stroking him, using his pre-cum as lube.
“p-please y/n. i want it in your mouth.”
knowing how mean and dominate he can get while riled up, you obeyed, enjoying the shy side of him.
you swirled your tongue around his tip before bobbling your head down, taking as much as you can. marco’s hands found his way into your hair while throwing his head back. it was taking everything to not just buck his hips up and shove his cock down your pretty little throat.
“so you’re just gonna let her run that slutty mouth up and down n not just fuck her throat? hm, boring.”
at the moment you wish jean would've just bit his tongue while marco let out a deep, long chuckle.
he then tightened his grip around your hair and forced you down further onto him before thrusting up into your throat. he was way too big for you, the tip of his cock hitting the back of your throat earning a gag from you.
“what's wrong can't take it? i really thought you were a slut... getting onto your knees for your boyfriends best friend and letting him fuck that tiny throat of yours.”
his degrading words were enough for you to slip your hands down your shorts, slowing adding friction to your clit.
jean, now fully erect got up from his spot on the couch and squatted down next to you, pulling your hand away and out of your pants, a tight grip around your wrist.
“i don't think anyone told you to touch yourself, now did they?”
without warning, marco came in your mouth, his warm cum spilling down your throat. he then pulled you off his cock, a string of saliva mixed with cum still connecting you to him. marco looked down to jean and nodded.
jean stood up, bringing you up with him and walked over to the bedroom, marco following close behind and closing the door once you all got inside.
jean pushed you down onto the bed. the two men were now hovering over you, looking down onto you. you definitely lost any sort of control over this situation.
“hmm, i think you deserve a punishment baby. i mean for slapping me before.”
“that wasn't my fault tho-”
“shut up. no one said you could talk.” he spat out
jean then sat on the bed next to you. you knew exactly what he wanted. you crawled over and laid face first across his lap, ass perking up, while marco took a seat on jean’s gaming chair facing the both of you.
“you’ll only get ten today. i hear anything fall from that mouth besides you counting, i’m leaving to go spend the night at marcos”
you shook your head yes while a harsh slap landed right across your ass.
“o-one” you said while sniffling
marco on the other hand was started to palm himself through his boxers at the sight in front of him.
“te- ten!” you basically cried out at this point. you usually get more, but jean was harsh tonight.
meanwhile, no one in the room realized the discord chat going off on jean’s computer
surprised your still on... mikasa ratted me out about something so my mom called and chewed my ear out longer than expected.
helloooo?
jean?
“my sweet girl, you were so good for me. as a reward i’ll let you have marco’s cock. you’ll let him fuck you, right baby?”
eagerly you nodded while jean switched places with marco, now sitting on the chair.
“as always im going to prep you first, i wouldn't want to hurt you. that alright?”
without having to say anything you pulled your shorts down and disregarded them onto the floor.
marco then pushed you down onto your back while slipping down your panties. you looked up into his eyes while he shoved to fingers knuckles deep into your cunt, earning a sweet soft moan from your lips.
a few minutes after using his fingers to stretch you out, you left your climax building with a familiar feeling in your stomach.
“m-marco i’m gonna~”
about to cream all over his fingers, he pulled them out and flipped you onto your stomach.
“didn’t think i’d let you off the hook that easy hm?”
“marco pleaseee, i need too, please!!” you were basically sobbing over the fact that you wanted to get fucked
“no need to be a little cry baby y/n. he’ll let you cum when he wants to.” said jean from across the room, fucking his fist
“no, no its not that... it’s just that nothing feels better than your sweet cum running down my shaft.” right when he finished his sentace he shoved his cock right into your tight cunt, completely bottoming out and thrusting into you without giving you time to adjust.
“ ‘s too big marco please!”
“sorry, couldn’t help it baby.” the sight was so lewd. marco pounding into you from behind and shoving your head down into the mattress. jean behind you two fucking his first harder than ever. the room filled with wet slapping sounds and your loud moans, along with grunting from the two boys.
“ ah~ baby you’re squeezing me so, so well.” said marco while reaching his hand down, finding your clit and rubbing harsh circles around it.
“mm need to-”
marco sent a harsh slap onto your clit, sending your whole body jerking foward, squirting all over his cock.
marco let out another chuckle at your reaction. “wow, first time anyone’s ever squirted on my cock.”
he pulled out soon after and released all over your ass, crashing down on top of you, out of breath. jean was about to come over and help the both of you clean up until everyone heard a sort of high pitched moan. you and marco knew that didn’t sound like jean and both flipped over.
you all soon realized the headset on jeans desk, the green light indicating it was still on and running. you all then caught on to what was happening on the other side.
“wow jean... didn’t know little y/n was such a slut.”

ASMR - Chapter 4
Elriel fanfiction
About this fic:
Azriel can’t sleep Elain has an ASMR channel Match made in heaven (or you know, on youtube..)
_______________________________________
You can find chapter 1 here, chapter 2 here and chapter 3 here
Read this fic on AO3
_______________________________________
The following week, Azriel read Elain’s messages too many times to admit. He had answered her that “meat banjo” was, indeed, a vile word, and after that, they hadn’t really talked or texted.
He had saved her number as “Elain”, which had felt weirdly private. As if they were friends, which they were not. He was just her friendly helper, and she was his remedy for nightmares.
However, even though they didn’t know each other, Azriel felt an odd sensation in his chest when he thought about her. If he didn’t know better, he would have thought that he was missing her, which was absurd. But the tight little knot in his chest felt very much like longing. He tried to tell himself that this was weird and stupid. He knew that he had a crush on her (even though he hated to admit it), but he could also see that it was a pointless crush. She was an internet sensation, he was a boring IT guy. She was light and happiness and flowers, he was dark and brooding. She made people smile, he made people uncomfortable. And then there was the practical side of things. They had met on the internet. She probably lived on the other side of the country. Hell, she could even live in a different country for all he knew. She might have a partner already - it’s not like he asked. And, last but not least, she probably didn’t have a crush on him.
Before talking to her on the phone, he had just thought that she was a pretty girl that deserved kindness. But after their phone call, he had definitely developed a crush. Which was another reason why he hadn’t texted her. He didn’t want to bother her and he didn’t want to have this crush. He wanted to stop feeling like this for a girl he would never see in real life. Yet, every night before bed, he found himself on her youtube page, watching one of her many videos.
She uploaded a new video to Youtube every Friday, so when Friday came around, Azriel was itching to get home so he could go to sleep (he told himself that he was looking forward to sleeping and not to seeing her face).
However, he had an entire workday to get through first. The office was mostly an open landscape and Azriel’s desk was next to Cassian’s. The only person with his own office was Rhysand, which was fair since he was the owner of the company. At two in the afternoon, Rhys poked his head out of his office.
“You guys are still coming for dinner this weekend, right?”
“Yeah,” Azriel and Cassian answered in unison.
“I told Feyre that I would help her with the food,” Azriel continued.
Rhys looked like he was going to kiss Azriel. “Oh, god. Thank you, man. I was scared that we would have to repeat the Christmas dinner,” he said and shuddered.
Feyre hated to cook and Rhys did most of the cooking at home, but for some inexplicable reason, she always wanted to cook for holidays or family dinners. To everyone’s dismay. Christmas had been no exception. She had burned the turkey, added salt instead of sugar to the dessert and somehow managed to buy the wrong berries for her cranberry sauce. Luckily, Rhys had been prepared and bought a few frozen pizzas and some ice cream, so the day wasn’t that much of a disaster, but nobody wanted to brave Feyre’s cooking again.
“Why don’t you just cook?” Cassian asked without looking up from his screen.
“You know that she kicks me out if I so much as go near the kitchen when we have these family dinners. And since she started the hormone treatment, she has been a bit bitchy when she gets mad, so I’ll just do whatever she says.”
Azriel chuckled. He could tell from Rhysand’s tone that Feyre had been more than “a bit” bitchy.
“I don’t understand why she lets Azriel help, though…”
“Maybe because she knows that I’ll tell her to sit down with a glass of wine and a magazine, and then she can take all of the credit for the food?”
“Fair enough.” Rhys shrugged. “Just burn the food a little bit, or it won’t be believable.”
Cassian snorted. “No one would believe that something edible was made by your wife. Sorry.”
“She does make a great green smoothie, though,” Rhys grinned and held up his glass.
Azriel and Cassian looked at each other and had to bite their tongues to keep from laughing. The smoothie looked vile and smelled even worse.
After a few more minutes of small talk, Rhys went back to his office for an important phone call. “See you on Saturday,” he reminded them before closing the door.
Azriel and Cassian worked in silence for the remainder of the day.
When Azriel came home that evening, he made a quick pasta carbonara to eat in front of the TV. He was re-watching New Girl. It was his comfort show and absolutely nobody knew that he watched it (and had watched it multiple times). He would take that information with him to the grave. But it was fun and cute and sometimes he liked to imagine his friends as characters in the show. Cassian was probably Schmidt, because Nesta was one hundred percent Cece. Feyre was Jess, which meant that Rhys was Nick. And then there was Azriel. He wanted to say that he was a very cool character, but most characters on this show weren’t cool, and also, he was definitely Winston. Alone with a cat - sounds about right , Azriel thought to himself as he finished his bowl of pasta.
When the episode ended he just waited for the next to start. He didn’t have any plans for the night and nowhere to be. His phone vibrated where he had left it on the kitchen counter. He ignored it, feeling too lazy to get up. But then it vibrated again. With a sigh, he got up. He expected to see a text from Mor telling him to bring wine tomorrow, or maybe a strange meme from Cassian. What he didn’t expect was to see Elain’s name on his screen.
He could feel his heart in his throat as he read her messages.
Elain Hey, Shadowsinger. I’m uploading a new video soon. You should watch it!
Elain I hope that message didn’t sound creepy? I just meant that I think you might like it.
Azriel’s hands were sweaty.
Azriel You didn’t sound creepy at all. Of course, I’ll watch your video. May I ask what I can expect from it?
Just seconds later, Elain answered.
Elain You can ask, but I might not tell ;)
Azriel Should I be worried?
Elain Haha, no! I think it turned out great. You were my inspiration :)
Azriel could feel himself blush. He had never been someone’s inspiration before.
Azriel So, I’m your muse? ;)
Oh god, was that too flirty? Was the winky-face too much? He wished that he could take back the message.
Elain For tonight, yes!
Azriel stared at his phone, unsure of what to answer. Luckily, Elain wrote to him again.
Elain What are you doing tonight?
Azriel Nothing. Just eating pasta and watching TV. How about you?
Elain That sounds amazing. I have been editing this video for hours so I’m just tired and cranky, haha. I have just ordered a pizza and I think I’ll just eat it in bed as soon as this video has finished uploading. What did you watch?
Azriel If I told you, I would have to kill you.
Elain Oh, intriguing! Is it trashy drama? I bet it’s Grey’s anatomy! Or maybe… Love Island?
Azriel stared at his phone. Did she really think that he would watch something like Love Island?
Azriel I watched New Girl, okay. Don’t tell anyone.
Elain Your secret is safe with me! Also, I love New Girl! Especially Winston!
It felt as if someone was squeezing Azriel’s heart.
Azriel Really? Which character would you be?
Elain My pizza is here so I am going to put all of my electronics in a different room and eat my pizza while reading a good book. It was great talking to you, Azriel! Please tell me what you thought of the video when you have watched it.
Elain Oh, and I would probably be Winston’s cat. lol
Azriel almost dropped his phone. If he had to be alone with a cat for the rest of his life, he would definitely want Elain to be his cat , he thought to himself. Which was a weird thing to think about someone you didn’t know. Azriel dropped his head to his kitchen counter and took a deep breath before replying.
Azriel It was great talking to you too, Elain. Enjoy your dinner and your book :)
She didn’t answer, but she didn’t have to. Azriel was going to be thinking about her for the rest of the night anyway.
30 minutes later, he got a notification telling him that Flower Girl ASMR had uploaded a new video. The video was called “ASMR for IT-guys”, which made him chuckle. He clicked the video and Elain’s beautiful face filled his screen again.
“Hello, my lovelies, lovelies, lovelies,” she whispered in her microphone. “This week’s video will be a bit different,” she continued, slowly moving her hands in front of the camera. “This video was inspired by my friend who recently helped me with some computer-related issues, issues, issues.”
Azriel loved it when she repeated words like that. And he liked that he somehow was a part of this video. It was something that connected them. Azriel paused the video and got into bed, knowing fully well that he would probably fall asleep soon if he kept watching this.
He pressed play again. “So, today, I thought that we would try a few computer-related triggers. I have a keyboard here,” she said and started typing on a keyboard that was out of view. “I thought that I would say a few trigger words while typing them.”
She smiled at the camera and pressed a few more keys. “I just wrote my friend’s name, but you won’t get to know who he is. But you know who you are. Thank you for your help!”
Azriel felt all warm inside.
She continued the video. “The first trigger word is IP address ”. Azriel laughed as she repeated the word multiple times while typing quickly.
“And then we have, laptop, laptop, laptop,” she continued, and Azriel felt shivers go down his spine when she popped the p’s.
Azriel had never thought that he would fall asleep to someone whispering “HTML coding” in his ears, but here he was. Relaxed and ready to sleep.
All thanks to Flower Girl ASMR.
━━━━━━༻❁༺━━━━━━
The next day, Azriel texted Elain that he had loved the video. He waited for hours, but no reply came. Maybe she just wanted to repay me for helping her? Azriel thought. Maybe she would stop talking to him now that he had seen the video.
The thought of never talking to Elain again made him feel a new kind of ache in his chest. An ache he didn’t want to feel. This stupid crush needs to end, he muttered to himself as he started to scrub his kitchen counter. He tried to ignore the feeling by keeping busy. He cleaned his apartment and did some laundry before heading over to his friends’ house.
Rhys greeted him by the door and ushered him inside.
“She started cooking like 15 minutes ago, please save whatever can be saved,” he whispered to Azriel. Azriel chuckled and made his way to the kitchen. On the way there, he passed the living room and stopped to greet his friends. He saw most of them on a daily basis because of work, but he was still happy to see them. Cassian and his fiancée Nesta sat close together on one of the green velvet couches. On the opposite couch sat Mor and Amren. Mor was one of the journalists at Velaris News, and Amren was an editor. They had known each other for years. Amren and Rhys had studied together at university, and Mor was Rhysand’s cousin. Once upon a time, Azriel had a crush on Mor. One night after one too many glasses at Rita’s he confessed his feelings to her and she had looked horrified. He had expected her to tell him that she didn’t fancy him and leave it at that, but instead, she had blurted “I like girls!”
Azriel was the first person she ever came out to, and he had felt honored. He also knew now that they wouldn’t have worked out together in the long run (even if Mor had been straight). They were just too different. She was energetic and outgoing and fun, he needed peace and quiet. But she was still one of his very best friends.
Amren on the other hand, he didn’t know as well. She had always been very private, but she was damn good at her job.
“Where’s Varian tonight?” Azriel asked Amren, trying to make small talk.
“How should I know?” she answered quickly. “I’m not his mother.”
Cassian stared at her. “But you are his girlfriend?”
She shrugged. “I don’t like to label things.”
Nesta rolled her eyes. Amren had lived with Varian for the past two years, but she was still reluctant to tell anyone about their relationship.
Azriel made his way into the kitchen, and from what he could tell, he made it just in time.
“What are you making, Feyre?” he asked, because truthfully, he couldn’t tell.
Feyre turned around quickly as if he had startled her. “Oh, hi Az,” she said and wiped her forehead with the back of her hand.
Something was burning.
“I was trying to make lamb chops with glazed carrots, roasted potatoes, and salsa verde, but…” she gestured to the stove, which looked like a disaster.
Azriel chuckled. “That’s ambitious.” He lifted the lid from one of the pots and could clearly see that she had overcooked the lamb 10 minutes ago. Also, why had she made them in a pot, and not a frying pan? It would be inedible.
The potatoes were still in the sink, unpeeled.
She gave him a strained smile. “Will you help me?”
“Of course.” Azriel put the grocery bag he had brought with him on the kitchen island. “On one condition.”
“Anything.” She sounded desperate.
“Please, for the love of god, let Rhys cook when we come over. You really don’t have to show off. You are good at many things, Feyre. But cooking is unfortunately not one of them.”
She nodded. “I know,” she sat down on one of the stools at the kitchen island and buried her face in her hand. “I just...I need to be able to cook when I become a mother.”
Azriel took her hand in his. “You really don’t. Nobody expect fathers to be good at cooking, so why should every mother be good at it? Honestly, just let Rhys cook while you play with the kids.”
She smiled at him. “That actually sounds amazing,” she sighed.
“Right?”
Azriel started to pull out some ingredients from the bag on the kitchen island. He held up the tomatoes and the spaghetti, “How about some pasta arrabbiata with burrata?”
“Sounds fancy.”
He shrugged. “Everything sounds fancier in a different language. It’s just pasta with a spicy tomato sauce, and burrata on top.”
“Whatever you make will probably be better than that mess,” she said and glanced towards the stove. Azriel couldn’t disagree.
“Probably,” he laughed and got to work. Azriel placed all the pots and pans in the sink and started chopping the vegetables for the sauce, and in just 30 minutes, dinner was served.
“You are my hero,” Feyre said and kissed his cheek as she carried the big bowl of pasta to the dining room.
Everyone had already gathered around the table, wine glasses in hand. As Azriel sat down, Mor poured him some wine.
“This looks amazing,” Nesta said and Cassian nodded in agreement.
“Thanks, Az helped a little,” Feyre said and winked at Azriel.
“Just a bit,” Azriel said and took a sip of wine.
The conversation (and wine) flowed freely, as it always did. Cassian and Nesta told them about their wedding plans, Mor gushed about Emerie, a girl she was dating, and Feyre told them about life as a high school art teacher. Azriel would never understand how anyone could choose to spend their days with teenagers, but Feyre loved it.
After two bottles of wine, Nesta and Mor were in an argument about which animal was the cutest.
“No, I am telling you, Sloths are cuter than any animal ever,” Mor exclaimed. “Have you seen their dopey little faces?”
“Sloths? Really?” Nesta looked at her as if she had suggested that the sky was green. “Red pandas are way cuter! They are cute and cuddly, Sloths just look like every single stoner I went to high school with.”
They had been at it for 10 minutes, which Azriel found to be quite impressive.
“Can you both just shut up?” Amren gritted out. “The cutest animals are koalas. They’re even cute when they fight. I am right, you are wrong. Please stop this meaningless discussion before I die from boredom.”
Nesta and Mor looked at Amren, and then at each other.
“We obviously have to see Koalas fight if you want us to end this conversation,” Mor said.
Nesta nodded. “Obviously. Give me your phone, Az,” she said and reached for his phone.
“Why do you need my phone?”
“Because mine is dead and yours is right there on the table. Also, your screen is big and we need to watch this in full HD, for obvious reasons.”
Azriel huffed a laugh, unlocked his phone, and handed it to Nesta.
She clicked the Youtube app, and then her face fell. She looked at Azriel as if he was an alien, and then she showed the phone to Cassian who looked at him with the same facial expression.
What the hell had they found?
He didn’t have anything weird on his phone. And he sure as hell didn’t watch porn on it.
“What?” Azriel asked, and Nesta turned the phone.
Fuck. The last video he had watched was still loaded on Youtube, and of course, it was Elain’s latest video.
“What the hell is this?” Nesta asked, almost looking angry.
Azriel didn’t understand why she found ASMR so wrong, but he desperately wanted to explain himself.
“Well, it’s ASMR. It’s kind of… well, it’s hard to explain, but it helps me sleep and– “
Nesta interrupted him before he could finish. “I know what ASMR is. I am wondering why you are watching Elain?”
Azriel stared at Nesta in shock. Did she also like Elain’s videos? But that wouldn’t explain the anger and confusion.
“Do you...know her?” Azriel asked.
“Yes, we went to university together. She’s our florist for the wedding. She was the florist at their wedding, too,” Nesta answered and gestured towards Rhys and Feyre. “Surely you have met her?”
Azriel could do nothing but shake his head in confusion. If he had ever met Elain, he would have known. You didn’t forget a face like hers.
“Please tell me you’re not stalking her like some creep, Az. Honestly, her last boyfriend was the world’s biggest asshat.”
“I’m not stalking her,” Azriel blurted out. “I’m just watching her videos to fall asleep, I promise. I– I didn’t know that you knew her.”
Nesta eyed him suspiciously. “So, is this just a coincidence?”
He nodded. “Weirder things have happened,” he said, trying to lighten the mood.
Nesta glanced at Cassian, and then back at Azriel. “Fine,” she said after a small eternity. “You would probably be cute together anyway. Sorry for insinuating that you would be a stalker.” She really did look remorseful. “That wasn’t fair. I’m just very protective of her. She’s the nicest girl, but she has horrendous taste in men.”
Azriel couldn’t answer, because his mind was still stuck on the fact that Nesta said that they would be cute together. He wanted to ask Nesta why she thought that. He kind of also wanted to ask her if Elain lived here in Velaris, and what her favorite movie was, and if she, by any chance, had a boyfriend. But he refrained, he didn’t want to sound like a stalker.
“So, what the fuck is ASMR?” Cassian asked. “Is it like porn?”
Before Azriel could answer, Rhys said “It’s like porn for your ears, I guess,” and then the entire table was laughing.
“Nesta,” Feyre said when the laughter had died down. “Does Elain still have that cute, little shop on River Street?”
“Mhm,” Nesta answered and took a sip of her wine.
Azriel could kiss Feyre for asking. And if he wasn’t mistaken, he could see her wink in his direction before raising her water glass to her lips.
Azriel walked home that evening with a million thoughts in his head.
He made a list in his head:
Elain lived in Velaris
River Street was literally a 10-minute walk from his home.
Nesta thought that they would be cute together
This meant nothing
She probably didn’t even like him back
Just because they were in the same city, it didn’t mean that they would ever meet.
This was still just a crush
And it was probably one-sided
She hadn’t even answered his latest text message.
And as if on cue, his phone vibrated in his pocket.
Elain I’m sorry that I didn’t answer you earlier. I’ve been at work all day. We had a leak in the basement and everything was just chaos. I haven’t even checked my phone until now.
He mentally scratched number 9 from his list.
Azriel No worries! Did you fix the leak?
Azriel checked the time on his phone: 23.30
Had she dealt with this leak until now?
Elain Yes! But so many flowers were ruined (I’m a florist) and I had to remake a few arrangements for a wedding that’s coming up.
Elain I’m sorry. You probably don’t care. I’m happy that you liked the video :)
Azriel wanted to tell her that he did care. That everything she said was interesting to him. He would probably even find her Starbucks order fascinating. But that bordered on stalker behavior.
Azriel Again, no worries! Sometimes when you’ve had a bad day, you just need someone to vent to.
Elain Exactly! Thank you for letting me vent :) This day is finally over!
There was a selfie attached to the last message.
Elain was standing in front of a big window surrounded by flowers. She was wearing a white, oversized shirt and her hair was in a messy bun. She looked tired but happy. She was giving him ‘thumbs up’ in the photo and through the window, he could see the Sidra. They were indeed in the same city. It made him both happy and nervous.
Elain Sweaty but happy to be heading home :)
Azriel received that last message when he walked through the door to his apartment. What the hell was he supposed to answer?
But then he thought back to Nesta’s words.
You would probably be cute together.
So he took a deep breath and gathered all his courage.
Azriel You still look beautiful though
He stared at his phone. Would she answer? Would she block him? Would she tell him to stop being a creep?
Elain Thank you :) What do you look like? I might have forgotten ;)
Okay. That was flirty. Even Azriel could tell that that was a flirty text message, and he was usually oblivious to such things. He quickly walked to his bathroom (it was the room with the best lighting). He checked his shirt (no stains) and mussed with his hair.
“Good enough,” he muttered, and snapped a selfie.
Before he could chicken out, he sent it to her.
Within seconds, he received a reply.
Elain Beautiful!

hello yes can i just say i l o v e d your gen z hcs and may i acquire more
for starters, i am not religious, but i am PRAYING you don’t think i was ignoring your ask. i’ve been thinking about it since i got it, it’s just that i’m a college student with worms for brains, so hopefully you understand. this is something that i’ve had on my mind for a long time [i’ve been at this on and off for months], and it most definitely can be associated with/attributed to gen z.
for a fleeting, wonderful period of time, there was a trend on tiktok that went, “buss it, buss it…” are you familiar?
that should be enough of a summary, right? ah—for future reference, “o7” is like a saluting emote, for anyone who might not know. reader is g/n as usual, enjoy!
[a/n: so because this is so long, this part is going to be, like, the lore, and then the actual headcanons will be right here]
trendy
the two things most corrosive to the human spirit are easily named—capitalism and boredom. while it would be easier and less taxing to explain the former, the latter was the problem at hand. it’s not that there was nothing to do in the devildom—quite the opposite, actually—it was just that you wanted some time to yourself every now and again. the trouble with trying to take time for yourself in a completely new location, the residents of which are always enamored with you in one way or another, is that there isn’t anything to do. the house was full of adventures for you to take—the trap door under the rug in the library, the other trap door under the dining room table, the small door behind the couch in the living room, and whatever other poorly hidden doors your seven roommates thought you didn’t know about.
trouble was, you didn’t want to leave your room. you, intelligent creature that you are, knew that the chances of you running into mammon or satan or beel or asmo were all too high, and even higher were the chances of you agreeing to spend time with them if they asked, and you knew they would. what were you to do?
you stared at your ceiling from your bed, d.d.d. resting on your stomach as you let your mind wander. your d.d.d. was full of things for you to do, the devildom’s ethernet at your fingertips, but you weren’t interested in finding new things right now. you wanted something familiar, like—like your phone.
what was the point of lucifer taking your phone, anyway? it’s not like you could use it—being here rendered it a useless brick of glass and metal, so it wouldn’t have been a big deal if you still had it. it was funny, though, that you couldn’t use your actual phone when it was still possible to access the human internet from down here.
at least, you assumed so.
how else would levi be able to keep up with his human idols, get tickets for their shows—the works, you know? luckily, you were fully capable of asking.
d.d.d. now in your hand, you rolled onto your stomach and found your messages with levi, nails clacking against the glass as you tried to reach him.
hey, you texted, can you help me with something?
his reply came faster than you expected: ?? what do you need
how do i access human websites and apps, you asked, rolling onto your side. you know how to, right?
lololol, it’s not possible :p
a grunt, more aggravated than you’d care to admit, escaped from the back of your throat.
don’t lie.
a few minutes passed with no response, and you wondered if you were too harsh.
“he’s a sensitive guy,” you mumbled, inhaling deeply. “i probably came on too strong or something.”
just as you started typing out an apology and a, “forget i ever said anything,” you got a response.
a vpn and a proxy site.
a smile crept onto your face as air came out of your nose, the closest thing to a laugh you could muster.
can you set it up for me?
after another few minutes of no response, you sit up, wondering how you could’ve possibly fucked up a second time, your d.d.d. buzzed.
levi sent you a file and a link, with a host of instructions.
click on the file and it’ll take you to the vpn you need to download. don’t worry about bugs or anything, i made it myself.
you let out a low whistle, flopping onto your back once more.
“this guy gets up to more than i thought,” you said, eyebrows raised. “someone get this man some physical affection.”
you continued to read, growing more fond of him with each sentence.
once you install it, pick the country whose network you want access to. from there, you’ll have a list of that country’s most used applications available for you. again, don’t worry about bugs.
what’s the link for? you asked, excitement getting the better of you.
for when you download internet applications. it’s added security, paste the link in before you search anything or you’ll trigger the firewall alarm.
you blinked.
you’ll trigger the what?
i’ll trigger the fucking What?
levi’s response was the fastest one yet: the Fucking Firewall Alarm. barbatos’ design. he has no idea i know how to bypass it. just do what i said. don’t try to solve any potential issues on your own, come to me for everything.
roger that o7, you replied, thanks levi ^_^
yeah, yeah. come to my room for a hxh binge tomorrow night.
you snorted. what a fucking nerd—in the greatest way possible.
of course bestie :] ily
ily2 normie -_-
in his room, unbeknownst to you, levi felt like he made a mistake of some kind. it’s not that he didn’t trust you, it’s just that you had a tendency to end up in undesirable situations, even if it wasn’t always on purpose. he was probably just worried over nothing, or so he tried to tell himself, but whatever. this isn’t even about him.
you sat up once more, this time leaning against your pillows as you started setting everything up. everything went so quickly that you barely wondered if all of this—subverting hell’s firewall, personally designed by a man eerily similar to a 2D crush from when you were in middle school—was worth accessing a few silly apps from the human world.
a few minutes later, your d.d.d. now a much, much cooler copy of your phone, any and all thoughts of regret and hesitation were absent from your mind.
your first order of business on your upgraded d.d.d. was logging into your tiktok account, however surprising it was that you even remembered the password. you put your headphones in and adjusted your volume, going back into the dumpster fire that is your for-you page with open arms.
after around half an hour of stifled laughter and small, offended gasps from being targeted by the algorithm, you came across a rare dancing video. the person on your screen was in casual clothes, making minor, silly dance movements as the music dwindled, only for them to drop into a squat in time with the music, suddenly dolled up. you shot forward, taken aback by their transformation and by their dancing post beat drop. did you watch it on a loop for a few minutes? well, that’s nobody’s business but yours. you clicked on the sound in hopes of finding similar videos, and much to your relief, there were plenty. about ten videos in, a smile still on your face, you got an idea.
you slipped your headphones out, arbitrarily looking around your room, before whispering to yourself, “i could—i could do that. i could totally do that.”
and you were right. you had nice clothes and makeup from various shopping occasions with asmo. your room had led strips, courtesy of levi ordering the wrong ones and being so kind as to give them to you. you could do it.
levi was the only person you’d spoken to since you retreated to your room a few hours ago, and the lights have been off the entire time, which meant that if you worked quietly enough, everyone else had reason enough to assume you were asleep. good! how could you possibly explain what you were doing getting all dolled up at, like, 11:00 on a wednesday night? you couldn’t, even a little bit—not in a way that convinced anyone, anyway.
come midnight, you were sitting cross legged on your bed, watching your final product. not to be vain or anything, but you were looking very respectfully at yourself. since when could you move like that, anyway? the wonders of being alone, you supposed.
you didn’t post it publicly, electing to save it as a draft just so it would save to your d.d.d. maybe you’d post it once you were back in the human world, when your friends wouldn’t swarm your comments asking where the fuck you were.
yeah, lucifer told you, “everything was taken care of,” but regardless of whether or not you believed him, you knew it wasn’t a good idea to risk finding out if he missed something.
boredom creeping up on you again, you elected to go through the messages on your d.d.d. it would be better to make yourself laugh before you were fully bored again, right? you stood up and stretched, opening the group text with the adults. luke doesn’t know about it; he thinks the one with everyone is the main one, and everyone lets him think that so he feels included.
walking around your room in small circles, you scrolled up to the older conversations and read through them, rolling your eyes and chuckling to yourself. very rarely did they talk about anything of importance. it was mostly diavolo, barbatos, and simeon making quips and jokes at lucifer’s expense for everyone to see. it was gold in its purest form.
you contemplated sending one of the many cursed things sitting in your camera roll, just to keep them on their toes, but just after opening your gallery, you resigned not to, figuring it would be best to leave him alone.
you stretched again, the hold on your d.d.d. a bit looser this time. it nearly slipped out of your hands, but you caught it, tossing it onto your bed. as soon as you resigned to start getting ready for bed, you turned back around and picked it up.
there was no rhyme or reason to your actions; if someone in that moment were to ask you why you did it, you would’ve said, “just ‘cause.”
human intuition is a wonderful thing.
your d.d.d. was still on, still open to the group chat. you’d sent something, evidently a second ago, as indicated by the time stamp. the thumbnail was of you, in casual clothing—the casual clothing you were wearing before you got dolled up, actually. huh.
huh.
the weight of your mistake came crashing down on you in full force, a chill sinking into your skin and running up your spine.
you were suddenly acutely aware of the concept of time, how it was of the essence and you had absolutely none to waste.
what were you to do? it wouldn’t be long before your favorite person saw it. you had to do something.
you could say nothing. you could tell the truth and say it was an accident and that you were embarrassed, but that was even worse than saying nothing because it meant you were set to be the target of teasing you didn’t even wanna try to imagine. you could say it was an accident and be confident about it, telling them, “enjoy!” but that was a dangerous game to play, and you knew it.
well, i do admire you for taking time to think, but, unfortunately, there was a checkmark next to your message. oh, a number as well—eleven. you just can’t catch a break. what were they all doing up at this time, anyway? it was a school night🤨.

Use All of Me (P.2)
Title: Use All Of Me (Part Two) Summary: Fem!Reader x Dark Mob!Steve Rogers. Please do not read if that is going to offend you.
Part One || Part Three || Masterpost (mobile) || Fanfic masterpost
You woke up a few hours later to Steve still sleeping soundly. You were feeling closer to sober than not, which was good news considering you would most likely not have a hangover. Carefully, you crawled out of bed to not disturb him. Slipping your underwear and bra on, you kept quiet. Checking your phone, it was four in the morning. There were a couple missed texts from people. The one that mattered was sending one to Natalie to let her know you were okay; she had texted almost two hours ago and was probably sleeping now – albeit anxiously – and still you sent a quick text. It would put her at ease when she woke up. Everyone else would be asleep and could wait, you merely just read the handful of them.
Clicking on your uber app, you guessed that the prices be higher than normal considering the time of day, but you needed to get home. It was going to take them fourteen minutes to get there. You would have to move quickly to get dressed and get back outside.
Your finger was hovering over confirm when Steve sounded from behind you, “What are you doing?”
Craning your head over your shoulder, you saw he was still lying in bed, blanket still over him. It seemed he had been watching you with your back turned; for how long, you were unsure.
“Sorry, I tried to not wake you,” you apologized. You held up your phone weakly and said, “Just ordering an Uber.”
“I wasn’t sleeping all that much anyway. Don’t need much,” he told you and you rose your eyebrows. “Perks of being me. If you want, I can drive you home.”
“Oh. I mean, that’s not necessary. I can just order this Uber.”
“I’m not drunk if that’s what you’re worrying about,” Steve assured you and added with a small smirk, “A downside of being me. I can’t.”
“Wow,” was the first thing that came to mind.
“Yeah, wow.”
“That… kind of sucks.”
Steve chuckled, “Yeah, sometimes it does.” He threw the blankets back, nude as the day as he was born still. “But it does erase possibilities of me doing foolish things drunk and regretting them in the morning. Or being caught off guard.” He tossed a glance your way at that last statement.
“Good thing you can see the silver lining,” you said, closing the Uber app. You watched him for a few moments dressing himself, eyes tracing the movement of his muscles before reaching down to pick up your dress.
You were pondering what other things were different about him than the average person. You had thought him being a superhero was all about his strength, but it seemed there were far more things beneath the surface.
Steve reached for something in the bedside table, pulling out a handgun. He caught your watchful gaze, “What’s wrong? Guns make you uncomfortable?”
You had not seen him slip that into the drawer when you had come up to the room. Granted, you had gone to the bathroom. Was it all that odd that someone like him had a concealed weapon? You were sure Natasha Romanoff had been armed to the teeth.
Calmly, you joked, “No. But are we in danger?”
“Not when you’re with me, doll face,” Steve said, holstering it into the waistband of his dark jeans. “I’ll always keep you protected.”
Cocking an eyebrow, you teased, “’Always’? It’s just a car ride home.”
Steve merely hummed in acknowledgment as he threw his black jacket over his shoulders, slipping his arms in. He gestured to the door, “After you.”

How is your day going?
Fine, just doing laundry with Natalie. One of my friends from the party. You?
“He’s texting me again.”
You were sitting on top of one of the washing machines in your laundry room as you and Natalie did your laundry a few days after Steve had brought you home. He had commented that the building looked secure and you found the comment odd. But he seemed pleased with that fact, for your safety, so you assured him it was. There were a couple of tables in the laundry room, so instead of traveling back up the stairs, the two of you brought work or something else to keep yourselves occupied.
“I told you it was a bad idea,” Natalie intoned, looking up from where she was scribbling ideas away for her next presentation at work. “And stringing him along is an even worse one.”
“It’s not serious. He’s probably just bored. We just had a one-night stand. And if I recall, you were quite enthralled with another ‘dangerous’ person as well. So, are you really in a position to be chastising me?”
“I didn’t go home with her. I just had conversation.”
“She didn’t ask?”
“She insinuated. I may have said that I was seeing someone.”
A laugh escaped, amused. “So, you lied to her?”
“For good reason.” She then added, “You could have done the same, you know. You would have obliged his request for your company and still been able to escape it.”
“I didn’t want to escape ‘it’. He was good in bed.”
“I know,” Natalie returned, rolling her eyes. “That’s what frightens me about you, Y/N. You like danger too much.”
“He also added me on snapchat. Thinking about sending him some nudes.”
“Why? So he can revenge porn you?”
“You’re so damn cynical, Natalie.”
Your phone lit up, interrupting the conversation.
Working. On a small break. It is going to be a long week.
You meant to respond but you saw he was texting again, so you waited.
It would be nice to see you again after it. How about you come out with just me?
It sounds like you are asking me out on a date. Or am I being too bold in assuming that?
“What are you smirking at?”
“He wants to go on a date.”
“Christ almighty. Seems like he’s wanting more than a one-night stand if he’s still texting you asking you out on dates.”
You shrugged, reading the new message from him.
Not bold. That is exactly what I was doing. What do you like to eat?
Can’t beat a steaming bowl of banh canh tom cua.
You smirked, guessing he was going to have to google that unless he was a fan of the cuisine. It gave you a couple minutes to put your phone down to talk to Natalie.
Shrugging you said, “What’s the harm in going on a couple dates? He seems nice enough.”
“He’s a mob boss, Y/N.”
Waving her off, you said, “Those are just rumors.”
“I don’t think so. You know there’s some deep-seated corruption and you can’t have me believing that just because they save people, it’s strictly out of the goodness of their hearts. Seems they only care when it’s about aliens, not regular day problems. Or protecting their assets. You think all of Stark Industries is above water? His technology is all over the place I would bet especially since they work with the government.”
“Well, aliens are a catastrophe, which you would think would require someone like, I don’t know, superheroes? And if you think Stark Industries is so invasive, you probably shouldn’t talk about him in that tone. He might hear you.”
Natalie threw a pencil at you and you laughed. “Stop teasing me!”
“You’re making it really easy. Did I mention you were cynical yet?” you retorted as you noticed your phone light up again.
Looks like there’s a few places in Brooklyn. I could pick you up. Saturday, 7pm?
That sounds good.
“Looks like I’ve got a date with a hot guy and some really good soup on Saturday night. And I won’t have to pay for it!,” you chirped. Natalie just told you that you were hopeless.
<> <> <>
“You just fucking go around doing whatever the fuck you want! You would be nothing without…” a man, bound to a chair, to spit out but trailed off, knowing he was digging himself a hole with the man in front of him.
He had been caught trying to steal a shipment of drugs between one of Tony’s and Steve’s distributors, along with a handful of other men. The others had been disposed of, leaving him. The lucky one Steve – someone they had not expected to be there tonight, along with Natasha, and it had been happenchance he had stopped by. A tragic turn of events for the attempted robbery – had chosen to beat information out of. So far, he had not been helpful and Steve’s patience was wearing thin.
Steve flipped the chair across from the man around, sitting down in it, resting his arms on the back of the chair. His smile was cold, a few moments of tense silence building between them. The man was bleeding from his nose, abrasions on his cheeks from the beating. His blood was coating Steve’s gloves.
“No, no. Finish what you were going to say. You were so jazzed. Let’s see where that gets us,” Steve encouraged, a cruel glint in his eyes. “In fact, it’s the most talking you’ve done all damn night.”
The man was quiet again, spitting out some blood on the ground next to him.
Steve gestured impatiently for the man to continue.
“One day you’re going to get what you deserve, Captain America. You’re a fucking farce. You’re just as every bit dirty as the cops on Stark’s payroll.” He laughed darkly. “In fact, you might be the dirtiest of all. You act so damn pious out in the open, but down here? You keep those drugs moving and the money flowing to all the corrupt politicians. I at least own what I am. You’re going to get caught and I can’t wait to read that headline!”
Steve was staring at the man, that icy smile still plastered on his face. Suddenly, his gun was unholstered and he fixed the barrel of the gun underneath the man’s chin, clicking the safety off. Steve stared deep into the man’s fearful eyes, and said eerily calm, “See, now that was the wrong thing to say. And I am happy to you inform you that you won’t ever get the chance to read a headline like that.”
The man’s head painted the wall behind him, the gunshot rattling through the room.
“Prick,” Steve muttered to himself, placing the safety back on his gun.
Natasha pushed herself away from the corner she had been resting in, sighing. “Didn’t give us any information about who he was working for.”
“It doesn’t matter,” Steve muttered, Natasha shooting him a look. “He wasn’t going to tell us. They could have been working alone – which is doubtful since they knew exactly where to come. Or it could have been Adrian sending in some bums to do his dirty work. Who knows? What matters is this place was compromised. And whoever the hell let them get past the security lines…”
“Rhodes is dealing with it.”
“Good. I’m sick of this shit.”
“You seem more on edge tonight, Cap.”
Steve sighed heavily, checking his watch. It was almost eight o’clock at this point. “I had a date. This was supposed to be a quick stop, not turn into a shit show. I can’t even text her down here to let her know.”
“With who?”
“The woman,” he said tightly. She was right, he was in a bad mood. “From the party a couple weeks ago.”
Natasha nodded, “She was pretty.”
“Beautiful,” Steve corrected stiffly, and Natasha smirked in response at his defensiveness. “And now I must grovel in apology to her for missing tonight and essentially standing her up. It was only the second date. We had a great time the first time… had Vietnamese food.”
“Second?” Natasha asked, eyebrows raised in surprise.
“Well… third. If you want to count the first night at the party. I need a change of clothes.”
Natasha snorted, “There should be some upstairs.” She followed him out of the room, as the began ascending the stairs. She gave the men standing outside the doors orders to clean up and mentioned there would be cleaning necessary upstairs too in the locker room. “I have never known you to go on more than one, Steve. So, three. Three is something. So, is she just that good in bed?”
“I intend to have her,” Steve informed Natasha, over his shoulder.
“Haven’t you already?” Natasha joked, much to Steve’s annoyance.
He spat, “You know that’s not what I mean.”
“Chill out, Cap. I was just joking around. I’m not the one you’re mad at here; he’s dead back in the room,” Natasha pointed out as they approached the locker room. Before he could go inside, she asked, “You think it’s that serious? A wife? Babies?”
“I’m making it that serious.”
“What if she is just looking for a fling?”
“Like I said, I want her and I’m gonna have her.”

Steve had stood you up. You had waited around for an hour, sent him a text when he had not shown up at six like the two of you had agreed on. He had not responded. You were disappointed but not too surprised. What had you been expecting? You had been truthful with your friends that you believed it was just going to be some fun with him; the duration of the fun had been in question. And now it appeared it was short lived. It was not the first time you had been ghosted.
You were already dressed up, so you texted a few of your friends, asking if they wanted to go out. You found yourself at a club, dancing, having fun despite the way your night had started out.
<> <> <>
Y/N’s phone went to voicemail the three times Steve tried to call her on his way over to her place. He did not like being ignored. He parked near her building and walked to it, circling it. None of the lights were on in the apartment, which struck him as odd. It was only 9:30pm.
Pulling his phone out, he opened Snapchat. Clicking on her icon, he scrolled down to where she was sharing her location.

YOU’RE MINE (Dave York x Reader)
You’re Mine
Scenario Series
Dave York x Reader
Words: 690
Warning: Sexual suggestiveness, possessiveness , slight manhandling
Author's Note: Don’t judge me, I’m in my Dave York feels..(Oh he's kinda cute.. HE’S A MURDER...but he’s kinda cute. Honestly @ majority of p’s characters lmfao) I had a “pick prompt and character” yesterday on twitter, someone chose the prompt “You’re mine. I don’t share” and picked Dave. I couldn’t stop thinking about the scenario so I extended it. Enjoy - K
Dave York and you had an interesting relationship. You were a hacker. He comes to you from time to time when he needs your skill and abilities. You could hack into anything. You never asked any questions. You focused on hacking whatever he needed you to get into. You know what he does but you minded your own business. You had enough problems of your own. You didn’t need to get caught up in his.
The two of you were strictly business, your interactions being professional, but something changed. Somehow the two of you became friends...friends who sometimes found physical comfort in each other.
You secretly liked Dave, but you knew the thing between you two wasn't anything serious. You still went out on dates with other people. You and Dave weren’t exclusive or so you thought.
He had come over to your house, needing you to break through a firewall so he could get a hold of digital files. You were on your burner desktop, typing and coding as you tried to get in.
Your phone buzzes, a notification banner popping up on your phone. You were too busy to even care. You check it later.
Your phone continues to buzz.
Buzz
Buzz
Buzz
Dave sits on the opposite side of the table from you. The back of the monitor facing him. Bored as he waited for you, he grabs your phone seeing what the fuss was about and sees that you have messages from some guy named Zack.
Hey baby I was thinking we can go to the movies Or we can just chill at my place We can order in food Kinda craving Italian also kinda craving you for desert ;)
Dave clutched your phone tightly in his hands and he read the messages. Jealousy washed over him. You were his. The thought of you being with another man besides him made his blood boil. Dave decided he should act now before you’re living happily ever with this guy.
“Can I borrow your phone? I left mine at my place by accident” he lied
“Yeah go ahead” Your attention is still on your desktop.
“What's your password?”
“4275,” you said without thinking.
Dave opens your messages. He reads scrolls through your text exchanges with him. He scoffs. A wicked smile appeared on Daves face. He licked his lips and began texting Zack back. When he was finished, he clicks the button on the side of your phone. Clicking the screen off.
“Okay, I got in! I’m downloading the flies and I’ll transfer them over to-”
“So you’re talking to other people?” He cuts you off leaning in his chair, fiddling with your phone.
You lean over to the side so the desktop wasn’t in your view of him.
“Uh...yeah?” You give him a questioning look. Since when did he care about your love life? What as he getting at?
You watch as his jaw clenches as you admit it. “Zack right?”
“...Yeah” how did he know that?
“Well now you’re not now”
“What?” you were confused.
He tosses your phone on the desk. You look down at it, then back up to him. It clicked for you. “What did you do?!” You say quickly grab your phone. You opened your messages, your eyes widened, your mouth hung open, your heart pounded against your chest. It heaved as you read what Dave had texted Zack back.
You set your phone down and look up at Dave.
“Dave-”
“This is your only warning. You’re mine. I don’t like sharing things that are mine” he sits back up, getting out of his chair. He slowly makes his way over to you.
“Just so you know, I don’t plan on ever sharing you. You better tell other men you’re off limits. If you don’t and I find out you’re seeing other men, we're going to have a fucking problem.” he growls.
You let out a yelp as he grabs your jaw, slightly squeezing it, forcing you to look up at him.
“Do I make myself clear?” He stares at you angrily.
“Y-yes” you stutter out.
“Good” he smiles, his expression changing. His hand moves from your jaw to the back of your neck. He leans down and pulls you to him, kissing you softly and tenderly. You sigh into the kiss.
As you both pulled away, bite your lip looking up at him. You felt woozy, chills running through you.
“Now” he states “about those files”

NIALL
It took a few days before I received a text message from Summer who was inviting me to the movies. It was not really original but I was happy I'd get to spend some of my time with her. Millie had convinced me to go back to work and I had to admit that keeping my head busy was a nice way to get a break from my heartache. I preferred Summer to keep my mind off Grace but I would use every way possible to get over my heartbreak as soon as possible.
"You're not eating diner with us?" Louis asked, making me look up after playing with my keys.
"Nope!"
"Ah, you're gonna get laid." he just pointed out with a nod, making Millie chuckle near him.
I glanced at her and sent her a small smile before looking back at Louis and sending him a smirk. I wanted to joke and ask him if he was jealous but it would be useless since I knew he pretty much had sex whenever he wanted to. Instead, I just shrugged with an amused smile and raised my eyebrows.
"Hopefully."
"D'you need condoms?" he added to tease me.
"Naa, thanks, we're clearly not the same size."
Louis raised his hand up, showing me his middle finger and I started laughing, taking a few steps back, doing the same to him, my middle finger up in the air. I smiled more when my eyes met Millie's and I shook my head slightly.
"Not you Mills, you know I love you!"
She jokingly blew a kiss at me and I pretended to catch it and push it in my pocket, making her laugh. The only good thing beside Summer that came with the fact that Grace broke my heart was that I was getting close to my friends. I was always quite close to Louis, but this whole thing made me realized that we didn't talk much anymore, and we didn't hang out much either. Now that I was single (or something?), I got to spend time with him and I had missed him. Millie was also a good addition to my life. She was still slightly annoying but the more time i spent with her, the more I liked the side of her that made her say things the way they were. Her bluntness was refreshing. I felt like most of the time, everyone around me tried to be sorry for me, or would tell me what I want to hear. She was not rude, she just told me when I was going too far, or shook me when I needed to be, and I realized that true friendship was not pretending the people around you were perfect, it was helping them move on, grow up, and be a better person. Millie was doing just that with me.
"I guess you're also not going to be there tonight, or when we wake up." Louis added as I shrugged again.
"Hopefully." I repeated, making both my friends smile more.
"Have fun!"
---
The movie was boring but I spent the whole time glancing at Summer who seemed to be focus on the screen. I wanted to wrap my arm around her but I was scared of the message it would send so I decided not to. I also didn't dare kissing her for the same reason, and I took a mental note to ask her about the kind of relationship she was looking for on the same night. I just wanted to make things clear and get rid of that restraint inside me that made me think twice about everything I wanted to do or say.
Near the end, I stared at her as she reached very slowly for the popcorn, groping around to find it, and it made me smile. There was no doubt in my mind that I liked Summer and that I wanted to get to know her, I was just scared she was going to be some sort of rebound and I felt extremely guilty about it.
I don't know how the movie ended but when we walked out of the theater, she sent me a big smile and my heart twisted in my chest.
"So, did you guess that they would end up together?" she asked, making my lips part.
"Uh, no."
"Me neither." Summer admitted, raising her nose up slightly. "I'm not good at guessing these kind of things."
I pushed one of my hands in my pockets and chuckled, feeling slight embarrassed. I brought my free hand to scratch the back of my head and I glanced at her. "The truth is, I didn't really watch the movie. I was focused on you."
Her eyes got bigger with surprise and finally, her lips curled slightly to the left. I liked the way she was looking at me and I also liked how oblivious she was. She didn't see the way I looked at her, and she didn't seem to realize how pretty she was. Somehow, it made her prettier. Perhaps it was only because I was used to date confident girls who knew their worth and it was not a better or worst thing, it was just different.
"You really know how to sweet talk women." she pointed out before letting out a short laughter. "But I like it."
"Seriously. I mean it."
"Okay." she nodded, licking her lip before her eyes got smaller. I felt like she was studying me and I liked it. "Then how about you come over to grab a bite? That way you can spend some more time watching me?"
I let out a louder laugh than intended and finally nodded too. "That's a great idea!"
I drove us to her place when when we walked in, I let my eyes roam around. The apartment was small an decorated with pastel colors. It was clearly not the colors I would have picked but it was clean and welcoming, and it fitted well with Summer's bubbly personality.
"Okay, let's see what leftovers we have..." she said in a soft tone, opening the fridge and bending down to look inside.
I suddenly wondered if she did that on purpose but I just shook my head and closed my eyes for a few seconds. From what I knew of Summer, it was not the kind of things she did, but it reminded me that it was exactly the kind of things Grace would do, and I liked it.
"Pasta good for you?"
I opened my eyes when I heard her voice again and blinked a few times before nodding. "Yea, yea it's perfect."
She handed me a beer before putting the food in the microwave and started it. I took a sip of my drink as she turned around and leaned her butt against the counter. She sent me a small smile but I couldn't help and let my eyes move down on her. The necklace she was wearing was falling gracefully between her breasts until her navel but unlike the dress she was wearing at the club, her outfit on that day was pretty simple: a black pair of jeans and a pink shirt that molded her upper body perfectly. I was pretty sure she looked good no matter what she was wearing and it made me smile. She tilted her head slightly, playing with her hair falling down from her high pony tail down to the middle of her back and licked her lips.
"If you want I can tell you what happened in the movie while you stare at me like that."
I looked up and our eyes met again but when I saw her smile, I mirrored it and walked closer. "I'd rather know more about you."
Her amused smile faltered slowly, changing into a loving one, and she tilted her head just as the microwave beeped. She chuckled a bit and turned around, making a bowl for me and one for her, and we sat down at her table, facing each other.
"Okay, tell me what you want to know." she just proposed before taking a bite.
"Okay... age, last name, siblings?" I asked, raising my eyebrows and making her laugh as she chewed.
"You're right, we don't know that much about each other." she admitted with a nod. "We talked at the club but we quickly ended up in your apartment."
I smiled more. "I know you study in fashion and that you used to live with a few friends but that you recently moved here by yourself. I also know that you've only been in two serious relationships, one of them when you were still a teen, and that you've been single for two years. But I have no idea how old you are."
"Glad to know you can stare at me and listen to what I say at the same time!" she joked.
"I'm a multitask guy." I shrugged with a chuckle, making her laugh too.
"I'm 23." she admitted. "I have two older sisters, and my last name is Carpenter."
"Good to know. And apparently, you like romantic movies."
"Don't we all?" she asked with a shrug but chuckling when she saw me raising my eyebrows. "I mean, most of us want to find real love and live happily ever after, right?"
My smile faltered as Grace invaded my head again. I felt a wave of sadness invade me but when I looked up at Summer, I realized she hadn't noticed anything.
"Yeah, I guess it's human nature."
I tried to push my ex girlfriend out of my mind and we kept talking about each other for a while and when she got up to bring her dishes to the dishwasher, I followed her and helped her. She turned my way and looked up in my eyes as I felt my heart jump in my chest at the proximity of our bodies. She smelled exactly the same as she did wat the club. It was that perfume that lasted for 3 days on one of my pillows but I couldn't tell what exactly it smelled like. She started nibbling on her bottom lip while staring at me and I couldn't take my eyes off of her either.
"I want you to know that I normally don't do that."
"Don't do what?" I asked very low.
"Sleep on the first night." she confessed in a whisper. "But you're special, I don't know."
"Is that a good thing?"
Her lips curled and she chuckled, nodding slowly, her eyes never leaving mine. "Mhm, yes."
I was not expecting it but she got on her tiptoes and kissed me gently but firmly. Her lips moved against mine and I tasted her lip-gloss when my tongue ran on bottom lip. It was sticky and it smelled like strawberry, telling me that it was probably her favorite.
"Summer," I murmured between two kisses. "We need to talk."
"I know, but we can do it after."
Her arms wrapped around my neck and I kissed her deeper, pulling her closer. I don't know how we ended up in her room but I knew I went a bit too roughly when I pushed her against the door and she stopped me.
"How about we go on my bed?"
I nodded quickly and grabbed her hand, pulling her gently but quickly with me. I layed on top of her, grinding down against her as she whimpered in my mouth, and I couldn't help but tell myself that it felt even better than the first time. Her shirt and her pants ended on the carpet and I let my lips run down her neck, sliding between her breasts and on her stomach until I reached for her panties. I wanted to taste her, and I could tell how aroused she was just from the way she smelled, but when I pulled her panties down with two of my fingers on the sides, she tensed.
"Niall, please, not today, okay?"
My heart skipped a beat, hoping I didn't ruin the moment, and I moved back up to press my lips on hers. "Okay, anything you want."
"I'll remember that." she joked with a chuckle, making me smile against her mouth.
She grabbed my shirt and moved it over my head before her hands ran in my hair and down my naked back, making me feel the same burning sensation I had felt the first time and when I finally lied down on top of her naked, I realized how similar everything was.
"Summer, baby, you want to ride me?" I asked in a murmur, moving away slightly to look in her eyes.
Her lips parted and she held her breath but after a few seconds, she nodded and licked her lips. I lied down next to her but quickly sat back up, searching for my pants on the floor and grabbing the condom I had brought with me. I could feel guilty for even bringing it as if I expected to have sex with her but my mom always said 'better safe than sorry' and I would have hated myself if I hadn't brought one and didn't have the chance to do that again with her. I lied down on my back and when she straddled me, the sight made my dick twitch and my heart jump. She was hot and watching her move on top of me was definitely going to bring me to an orgasm fast.
I ran my hands on her thighs and when she moved on her knees to sit on my cock, It was my turn to hold my breath while my lips parted. She felt so good around me that I let out a low curse word and blinked a few times, trying to see her better as I became dizzy. She had a small shy smile and I let my hands slid up until her waist just to feel her skin against mine.
"Fuck, you feel amazing."
She started moving over me, riding me gently, and she bent down to kiss me again. I ran my hands on her, wherever I could touch, but she didn't move back her and stayed laying on me. I enjoyed the way her hips were moving against mine and when I felt myself reach an orgasm, I held her waist tighter. I felt her start shaking over me a few seconds after I came and when her body went limp on top of me, I sighed with a smile, running a few of my fingertips on her spine.
"Now, we have to talk." I repeated in a gentle tone, bringing my hand up to move her hair out of her face and press my cheek on the top of her head.
She remained silent for a few seconds but I felt her lips press on my chest and it made me smile. "Mmhm, we can talk now."

sneak preview
It was probably around the age of fifteen that Kite met Pariston Hill for the first time. Ging-san had brought Kite with him to the Hunter Association headquarters lobby, given him a brief list of orders (don’t get into trouble, don’t go anywhere, don’t talk to Pariston Hill about your nen training, don’t get into a fight, don’t steal from anyone) and turned to go. “I’m hungry,” Kite said. “We’ll go out for dinner afterward,” Ging-san said as he walked away. “Somewhere nice. I won’t be long, just wait for me here.” So Kite sat down in one of the blue plastic chairs and picked at the armrest and ran through the rules in his head. He had a granola bar in an inner pocket of his coat, but he was saving it for an emergency. He looked around. The big white lobby was empty, except for him. Even the front desk was unmanned. The shimmering chandelier above him - far above, as the ceiling must have extended almost three stories - cast the whole space into brilliant light. A table beside him had magazines on it: a financial thing of some kind, several news and gossip pieces, and - paydirt! - a nature magazine. Its cover featured a photo of a bear catching a fish, the droplets of frozen water shining in the long-dead light in which the photo had been taken, the bear’s jaws immobilized in an eternal snarl. Kite picked up the magazine and flipped through it, looking at the pictures. Then he flipped through it again and painstakingly read all the headlines. Then he flipped through it upside down. The article that seemed the most interesting was something about bats. Kite tried to read it but there were too many words he didn’t know and the little letters started giving him a headache. His stomach rumbled. He ripped the pages out of the magazine and folded them up carefully in his pocket to read later. He squirmed in the chair and looked around. There was a clock behind the front desk, but he didn’t know what time he had arrived so he didn’t know how long it had been. Kite got up and walked over to the front desk. It was one of those two-tiered desks that they sometimes had in hotels, a narrow, taller level on the customer side and a lower level for the worker. The customer side had a cup of pens with the Hunter Association logo on them, and a glass fishbowl half full of pink and green mints, each individually wrapped in plastic. Kite glanced around. He knew enough to recognize free items when he saw them, but sometimes people didn’t like it when he took the items that were free for others. But no one was around. Kite helped himself to a pen and took a big handful of mints and put it in his coat pocket. Then he took another handful of mints and went back to his chair and sat down and started eating them. He wanted to check what was behind the desk, on the worker side, but that was rarely acceptable behaviour and he didn’t want anyone to get mad at him. And even if there was food back there, Ging-san had said they would go out for dinner afterward. So Kite didn’t need to steal any food that might conceivably have been hidden behind a reception desk. He told himself. The mints were pretty good, but after he finished eating them he just felt hungrier and a little queasy. He dropped the wrappers in the trash can and looked at the clock. He couldn’t remember what the time had been when he had last looked at it. Now it was 3:50 p.m. A woman with dark purple hair walked through the lobby, her heels clicking on the tile, and disappeared through another door. Kite picked up the nature magazine again and tried a second time to read it. Many of the stories had little boxes with writing in them, separate from the main text. Kite picked the first box in an article on Nightingales in Azia. (He knew what nightingales were from the book on birds, Azia from Ging-san’s geography lessons.) He got out his new pen and underlined all the words he didn’t recognize at first glance, and then read the box, omitting the underlined words. He got, The _ _ nightingale is one of the least commonly _ birds in the southern _ of the Asian continent. Its _ feathers and _ _ allow it easy _ among the _ trees, but each year hundreds of _ bird watchers flock to _ in hopes of catching a _ of this _ bird. Beside the box was a photo of a green bird, nearly invisible amongst green leaves. Kite read his version of the text box again and thought about it. “This bird is rare to see in Azia,” he translated aloud. “Its feathers are green so it can hide in the trees. But each year hundreds of... bird watchers want to catch it. Want to catch its...” He tried to sound out the missing word. “Want to catch its... g-l-i-m-p-s-e.” Not so complicated, really. He didn’t know why they had to use so many extra words. He also didn’t know what the point of sounding out words was if he didn’t know what they meant anyway, but at least it was easier to do without Ging-san sighing impatiently at him. He looked at the clock. It was 4:37. Finding a boring page in the magazine, he took out the pen again and wrote his name in the margin. kite He wrote it again, with a capital letter. Kite He wrote it in all caps, with an exclamation mark. KITE! Then he wrote, Kite is the studint of Ging-san. Then he wrote, Kite = hunter. He rifled in his safest inner pocket and pulled out the granola bar and his Hunter license. He put the granola bar back and looked at the license, turning it over and over in his hands for the thousandth time. Its edges were so clean and hard. It didn’t have his name on it. He thought about trying to write his name on it with the pen, but that might be vandalism. He tucked the license away and shifted in the chair and sighed. He looked at the clock. 4:44. A door at the far end of the lobby opened and a man walked in. His suit was teal, and shimmered like the fish on the cover of the wildlife magazine. His hair was blond. He made a beeline for Kite, smiling all the while. Kite sat up stiffly as the man approached, every muscle tense and ready to run. But this man didn’t seem like a threat, based on both his demeanour and what Kite could perceive of his aura. “Hello,” the man said, stopping right in front of him. “Kite?” Kite said nothing. “Kite,” the man said with a brilliant smile, stooping down a little to be at the same height that Kite was, sitting, “I’m Pariston Hill. A friend of Ging’s. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” He held out a hand. His nails were perfectly manicured, shiny round ovals. A friend of Ging’s. Kite shook his hand. “It’s a pleasure to meet you,” he echoed. His voice sounded thin and slightly hoarse. “My, how polite. What a delightful young person you are.” Pariston’s smile didn’t flicker. “Will you come with me to my office?” he asked. “I’d like to get to know you over tea and snacks.” “Yes,” Kite said quickly. “That sounds very nice.” It would be okay as long as he didn’t discuss his training. Pariston laughed and clapped his hands, straightening up. The light danced on his suit as he moved. “Wonderful!” he exclaimed. “Follow me!”

ask: Hi, may I request a Lucy fic where Yechan gets a stomach bug but Sangyeop and Wonsang are out so there's just Gwangil to look after him? Literally I don't mind what other details you add 😊
as he slumped heavily onto the couch, yechan assumed the tiredness that had overcome him so suddenly was just a consequence of how much energy he’d spent during the day. he’d surprised himself by waking up early, around 7, and had been going non-stop since, full of even more energy than normal - so by the time 7 at night rolled around, he figured it made sense for him to be feeling a bit worn down.
that’s the thing, though - it wasn’t just a bit. it was complete, overwhelming exhaustion, so much so that he felt vaguely nauseous.
after just a few minutes of watching some mindless show on tv, he forced himself back to his feet in search of headache medicine. normally, yechan wasn’t a forgetful person, but somewhere along the way to his destination, he found himself confused and wondering what he’d been doing. the exhaustion weighed more heavily on him than ever, but his head felt too light. for a moment, he couldn’t tell if he was going to pass out or throw up. his legs gave out and he sunk to the ground with black spots intruding on his vision.
he blinked quickly, straightening his back against the wall behind him, and took three slow, cautious, deep breaths. moderately alarmed, he pulled out his phone to text the other members, just to check if any of them were home. before he got the chance, a sharp pain shot through his head and he gasped, curling in on himself and squeezing his eyes shut. the pain left him winded and feeling quite sick again. yechan figured he’d give his eyes a short rest, and then try texting again in a few minutes.
probably he should’ve known better, all things considered, but who could blame him when the only thing his brain cared about was getting some sleep?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
when gwangil returned home at around 8:30, he initially thought that the apartment was empty. he knew sangyeop and wonsang were out, as they’d stayed at the studio to continue recording after gwangil had left, and he assumed that it was too quiet for yechan to be around. the oldest member of lucy had an unmatched aptitude for making noise, even - and sometimes especially - when left alone. he was constantly whistling his favorite songs, humming melodies he’d made up on the spot, or fidgeting in some or another loud way. even while sleeping, yechan was loud - and that’s what ended up giving him away.
gwangil didn’t hear the snoring until he’d walked through the kitchen and further into the apartment, and even then he doubted his ears. he checked the couch and upon finding it empty, hurriedly made his way toward the bedroom.
“what the–“ gwangil just barely managed to avoid tripping over the violinist. he was sitting in the hallway, chin to his chest like a child, very much asleep. gwangil clicked his tongue upon seeing yechan’s phone in his hand. he shook the older man’s shoulder gently.
“hyung, you shouldn’t fall asleep playing phone games.”
as yechan blearily blinked his eyes open, gwangil wanted to take his words back. it was immediately clear that yechan was sick. his eyes were glassy, and as he slowly lifted his head, his cheeks were bright red. gwangil quickly confirmed his suspicions by placing the back of his head on yechan’s sweaty forehead.
“gwangil?” yechan grabbed onto gwangil’s arm, but his grip was weak.
“you can’t sleep here, hyung, especially not when you’ve got a fever like that.”
yechan seemed to take that as a challenge, responding with an adamant tone and a pout. “i can sleep here - i was sleeping here, but you woke me up!”
gwangil couldn’t quite resist the urge to roll his eyes. “you shouldn’t sleep here - you’re going to be all achy when you get up.”
yechan glared. “i already am achy!”
“great, hyung, good for you,” gwangil said dryly as he helped the older man to his feet. “how about you eat something and we can get some fever reducers in you?”
complaints aside, yechan was fairly compliant as he allowed gwangil guide him to one of the kitchen stools. “i was going to get headache meds before,” yechan said, his mouth barely forming the words clearly enough to make them out.
“oh yeah? why didn’t you?”
“forgot.”
just another indication of how bad the older man must’ve been feeling. from the way he held his head so gingerly in his hands, it was safe to assume the headache hadn’t magically gone away during yechan’s nap. ultimately, gwangil didn’t need to assume.
“it huuuuuurts,” yechan whined, slumping further in his seat as gwangil offered him some soup. yechan’s frown deepened. “it smells bland.”
“what, did you expect me to give you some sort of spicy soup when you’re sick?”
“i- it’s just so boring,” yechan went on.
gwangil pointedly released an audible and long-suffering sigh. “well, if you’ll just eat half of it or so, you can have something to help your headache.”
at that, yechan brought the spoon to his lips, still sulking. “everything hurts and my nose is so stuffed up i can’t breathe,” he grumbled in between spoonfuls of soup. as he brought some more to his lips, gwangil could see that he was shaking. “i just wanna sleep.”
“so you don’t want your head to stop hurting?”
yechan shoved more soup in his mouth angrily, quickly consuming the rest of the bowl before dropping the spoon back in with a clink and a goofy fake gag. “of course i do. otherwise i wouldn’t have bothered eating that. blech. give me the meds.”
“you’re welcome,” gwangil said dryly, handing the medication over and taking yechan’s dishes to the sink. “go to bed already.”
“you mean ‘go to couch?’” the bitterness in yechan’s voice was so lacking in subtlety that gwangil almost laughed.
“oh, stop being such a baby. of course you can sleep in the bedroom, you’re sick! no one else is trying to sleep there right now, anyway, and it doesn’t bother me, so your snoring won’t be an issue.”
yechan’s mouth dropped open. “really?” the total awe in his voice made gwangil do a double take, and he couldn’t help the surprised snort that slipped out of him as he realized yechan had really assumed he wouldn’t be allowed to sleep in the bedroom.
“yes!” yechan still looked like he thought he might be getting pranked, so gwangil joked, “the other two might be that cruel, but they’re not here right now, so let’s break the rules while they’re out!”
that seemed to do the trick. yechan looked about as excited as gwangil had ever seen him as they headed to the bedroom.
by the time yechan was all settled in, it was late enough for gwangil to get in his own bed, but not quite late enough for him to sleep. he texted sangyeop and wonsang to update them on yechan’s fever, and to warn them to perhaps stay at the studio and finish recording if they didn’t want to risk catching the bug. gwangil continued messing around on his phone until he drifted off.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
it was all very cliche. yechan’s nightmare. this was typical.
his nightmares tended to take the shape of people leaving him, walking away, one by one. it would start out as an attack on his need for attention, just random strangers walking past him without sparing a second glance - and he could handle that. for a while he couldn’t, and he would wake up in a cold sweat, but after countless repetitions, he got past it.
unfortunately, getting past it meant entering phase two of the dream, which targeted his more vulnerable fears. 1. fear of being left alone, 2. fear of being helpless to stop it. this, too, he had overcome - or so he’d thought. for a while, he’d been able to remind himself it wasn’t real, and to just give up. but, as he stopped chasing his loved ones as they walked away from him, a new fear began to grow - a fear that he wouldn’t even put in the effort to stop them, that the helplessness he learned through nightmares might someday carry through to reality. that fear was something he didn’t think he’d ever be able to combat.
still, this was all typical. it was decidedly less typical for him to wake up sobbing, let alone to wake up one of his members with said sobbing even before yechan himself was fully awake. but then, there was a first time for everything.
so when gwangil’s voice broke through the watery haze of yechan’s crying, he couldn’t help himself from grabbing at the drummer’s hands, couldn’t stop sniffling right away. it was the first time. he’d do better next time. he’d learn to handle it on his own, like he always did. but for now, gwangil’s hands were kind of helping him breathe.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“hyung!” gwangil thought he was probably too emotionally clumsy to be dealing with this, actually. it was pretty unusual to see yechan upset, but when he was, it was always sangyeop who worked his magic and got their oldest member back to his typical cheerful self. but sangyeop wasn’t here, and yechan wasn’t just upset, he was sobbing. so gwangil would do his best, and he figured waking yechan was the first step of that.
apparently letting yechan grab him with sweaty hands was the second. he let the almost instinctual teasing comment die in the back of his throat and tried to ignore the urge to shudder.
“are you…” okay? that didn’t seem like a question that needed to be asked. should he ask what was wrong, or was that prying? did yechan have nightmares a lot, or was this because of the fever? gwangil definitely wasn’t going to ask that. not now. he shook his head and stroked yechan’s hand until his grip eased up, then moved to support the older man’s back as he gasped for air. “here, hyung, sit up. you’ll be able to breathe better. i’ll get you some water.”
for an instant, yechan looked like he was going to protest, his grip on gwangil’s left hand tightening. then he ducked his head away, towards the shoulder that was further from gwangil, and nodded. his grip loosened, too, but not completely, his hand dropping back to the bed only when gwangil pulled away.
by the time gwangil got back, the tears had stopped. something about that felt very wrong. maybe it was the contrast between the shy smile on his face and the puffy redness of his eyes.
yeah, that was probably it.
handing over the water, gwangil put his hand to yechan’s head - he definitely still had a fever, and it had gotten worse. a second too late, gwangil realized he shouldn’t have let go of the cup of water, remembering how shaky yechan was. sure enough, yechan’s whole pajama shirt got drenched.
yechan laughed. “well, i needed a shower, anyway, with how much i’ve been sweating.” gwangil frowned at him and yechan’s eyes darted down, away. “hah, sorry, that’s gross.”
gwangil’s frown deepened. “it’s fine.” he quickly grabbed another shirt and pulled it over yechan’s head as soon as he’d dried himself off. “how are you feeling?”
yechan shrugged, still avoiding eye contact.
“hyung, please talk to me. i’m trying to help.”
“i’m fine.” gwangil didn’t think he’d ever heard anyone sound less fine. but it wasn’t just that yechan sounded miserable - he did, he sounded small and ill - more than that, he sounded far away, and closed off, and maybe… scared. his posture backed it all up, curled away from gwangil, hunched over.
“nuh uh,” gwangil said, before he’d really had a chance to figure out the words he was going to say. he was definitely not equipped to handle this. yechan’s eyes snapped to gwangil and he sighed. “i’m just worried about you, hyung. if you can go back to sleep, you should. i’ll get you more water and anything else you need before you do.”
much to gwangil’s surprise, yechan’s mouth opened, and then closed just as quickly. yechan’s adam’s apple bobbed up and down rapidly, and gwangil wondered if he would cry again.
“hyung?”
yechan’s lips curved downwards, as if the words themselves were bitter, but he finally spoke up, a whisper. “my stomach feels sick.”
for a second, gwangil was frozen - then he snapped into motion, helping yechan out of bed and to the bathroom. he wasn’t surprised when yechan shooed him out of the bathroom and didn’t mind obeying. that didn’t mean he was going far.
he sat outside the bathroom door and checked his messages. wonsang still hadn’t read what he’d sent earlier, so he suspected that recording wasn’t going particularly well even before he read sangyeop’s message:
oh no! is he really sick? are you okay? wonsang is holding me prisoner until i can hit the high notes but if you need me i can pull the hyung card on him
gwangil was grinning at this when he heard a retch. he flinched and resisted the urge to pull out his earbuds, trying to refocus on his phone rather than the painful noises coming from behind him.
no need, hyung! we’ll be okay. wonsang-hyung’s right, you should finish recording before you risk catching a bug, anyway. good luck!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
yechan’s head was spinning as he leaned over the toilet bowl. he didn’t know why gwangil had insisted on getting him a new shirt when it’d taken him all of about 10 minutes to sweat through it. he yanked it off, quick to return to his safe position above the toilet.
this was the part he hated. the waiting.
Five minutes later and his legs were shaking from supporting his odd posture, but yechan refused to move. the nausea was almost overwhelming. this was taking too long. he squeezed his eyes shut, and forced himself to gag. he hadn’t fully committed, initially, but suddenly he didn’t have a choice as a harsh retch tore at his throat. he blinked, surprised by the force of it, and then heaved again.
his stomach ached horribly. he massaged it, but the clamminess of his hands just reminded yechan how disgusting he felt and probably looked. he’d have to apologize to gwangil after all of this.
a shudder ran through him and yechan leaned forward into another long retch, managing to expel a small stream of liquid this time. he coughed and found his airways suddenly blocked by what was previously his stomach contents.
ah, he hated this part, too. the pain and weakness and lack of control. yechan couldn’t stop himself from breathing loudly as he draped himself over the toilet, desperate for air. the taste and the smell made him gag again almost immediately. he kept his mouth shut and swallowed back sick, only for it to come right back up.
yechan was worn out. it hit him suddenly, that he’d really fucked up. as a rule, he didn’t cry. more realistically, more accurately, he didn’t cry in front of people. not when he was sad, and definitely not when he was scared. sangyeop had been a room while he cried exactly once but even then, yechan had done an alright job of hiding it and moving on.
thinking about it was not helping his stomach situation. he barely made it over the toilet in time for a thin stream of vomit to splash into the water below. he flushed it down, and didn’t bother wiping his mouth, instead choosing to lay flat on his back on the cold floor, arms and lets splayed like a starfish. his stomach felt empty, but his bones still felt sick, and his head was frankly spinning a bit.
maybe if he stayed quiet, he wouldn’t have to deal with gwangil.
it wasn’t that he didn’t appreciate gwangil’s help - in fact, he was extremely grateful for his help earlier to avoid making a mess. it was just that yechan wasn’t up for explaining anything right now, or ever, and sooner or later, gwangil would want answers. if yechan stayed locked in a bathroom alone for the rest of his life, he wouldn’t have to answer them.
he yechan felt like a coward. but then, more than that, he felt exhaustion, so he let it overtake him and hoped he’d be a bit braver once he woke up.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
gwangil picked the lock to the bathroom after he’d heard nothing from yechan in 30 minutes, and was not surprised to find the older man solidly asleep on the hard floor. “yechan-hyung,” he said, softly jostling yechan’s shoulder. “let’s get you back in bed.”
“don’ wanna,” yechan whined, eyes still shut.
“not up for debate, come on. i can carry you?”
yechan immediately held out his arms, and gwangil smiled slightly. he was just glad yechan was letting him help.

A Special Way {TodoDeku}
Hello anon, thank you for the prompt! This one got a bit longer than I expected i apologize, but i still hope you enjoy it!
edit: i completely forgot the ‘read more’ fdjkdbfdjdksbj sorry bout that
Summary: Midoriya realizes that everything Todoroki does makes him flustered, and so they decide to think of a way to change that!
Word Count: 1.6k (under the cut)
Midoriya sat on his dorm bed, bored out of his mind. He had already finished all his homework for the week, could he study? No, he didn’t have any tests coming up soon that would warrant that… Could he rearrange his All Might figure collection? No, he had just done that last week…
He sighed as he rolled onto his back, pulling out his little flip phone and clicking a few buttons, scrolling through his contacts for someone he could maybe hang out with. As he scrolled through, he kept remembering that everyone on the list had plans that day. Ochako and Tsuyu went to get some ice cream, Iida was visiting his brother…
Then there was Todoroki.
Was Todoroki doing anything that day? He couldn’t remember, Todoroki didn’t like to talk about himself and his plans that much.
It had been almost a month since he and Todoroki had started dating, and yet he still felt nervous and Todoroki had a hard time opening up to him… Midoriya sighed, remembering their first date when they went to tea and sat there awkwardly, Midoriya unable to formulate and Todoroki being too shy to start any sort of conversation. But in spite of that, it had gotten a bit better, although it was still difficult for Midoriya not to blush at every single thing Todoroki did.
Midoriya took a shaky breath and sent a text to Todoroki, asking if he could stop by his dorm. Midoriya sat up, holding his phone with a shaky hand as he waited for a response.
Seen.
Midoriya felt a sudden rush of warmth run over his back as he waited for the typing bubbles to pop up… any minute now…
Did Todoroki leave him on read?
Maybe he was busy, and Midoriya just bothered him, shoot! Midoriya slammed his hands against his face and groaned, falling back on his bed, rolling from side to side in shame.
He sat there for a while, trying to think of another person he could possibly hang out with when he heard a knock at his door.
“Midoriya, are you in here?”
That voice… Was it Todoroki? Midoriya jumped up and ran towards the door, tripping clumsily over his chair, stubbing his toe as he cried out in pain.
The door opened on his own as Midoriya hunched over in pain, Todoroki walking in and kneeling down next to Midoriya, placing a hand on his shoulder.
“Are you alright, Midoriya? Did you hurt yourself?”
Midoriya shook his head, a blush creeping up his cheeks as Todoroki’s grip on his shoulder tightened, Midoriya letting go of the foot he was clutching to wave his hands around.
“I-I’m fine, don’t worry about me! Sorry, I thought you were busy, I wasn’t expecting you,”
“I was just doing some schoolwork, I’d rather be spending time with you anyway.” Todoroki said plainly, his expression as unreadable as ever as Midoriya blushed at his words, covering his face as he did so.
“How can you say that so easily?!” Midoriya squeaked, making Todoroki smile slightly.
“Because I care about you Midoriya,” He said, again in his mildly monotone voice. Midoriya blushed again, crawling over to his bed and hiding his face in his pillow, whining.
“It’s not fair, I can’t say things like that!”
“Why not?” Todoroki asked, following Midoriya to the bed, sitting down next to Midoriya’s curled up body, rubbing his back.
“I get so… flustered, I don’t know. It’s hard to say them because I just get so nervous,” Midoriya tried to explain, burying his face further into the pillow, muffling his words even more.
Todoroki was barely able to understand what Midoriya was saying, but he got the gist, stopping his hand and scooting himself further up the bed, tugging at the pillow that Midoriya was clutching.
“How about we try and find a way to make you less nervous? What did All Might say before that training session… get your wiggles out? Something like that, we can get the nervousness out,” Todoroki said caringly, finally pulling the pillow away from Midoriya, who looked up at him with a confused expression, an expression that made Todoroki’s heart rate increase slightly.
“Um, I don’t really know what can… heh, ‘get my wiggles out’,” Midoriya giggled, looking up at Todoroki.
“Anything that makes you feel better? Like going for a walk, or maybe training?”
Midoriya thought for a moment… something that made him feel better after…
He blushed slightly, reaching again for the pillow that Todoroki had tugged away, Todoroki grabbing it before Midoriya could.
“No hiding. Did you think of something?”
“Yes, but it’s embarrassing!”
Todoroki chuckled. “Everything’s embarrassing for you, Midoriya, just tell me.”
Midoriya covered his face with his hands, whining as Todoroki sighed. “Take as long as you need, I just want to help Midoriya,”
Todoroki was about to get up from the bed before Midoriya grabbed his wrist, pulling him back down. Todoroki scooted even closer to Midoriya, leaning down slightly.
“C-Can you… tickle me?”
Todoroki blinked a few times. He was expecting a few things but he wasn’t expecting… that.
With lack of verbal response from Todoroki, Midoriya’s mind began to race.
“A-Ah I’m sorry! I didn’t actually mean it, I can think of something els- Ack!”
He was cut off suddenly when Todoroki pounced on him, pinning him to the bed by straddling his waist, hovering over him with a small grin on his face, Midoriya blushing more at the sight.
“I-I, ah,” Midoriya tried to formulate, Todoroki setting his hands on Midoriya’s tummy, the warm and cool temperatures from both of them sending tingles up Midoriya’s spine as he looked down at Todoroki’s hands.
“I’ll be gentle, okay?”
Before Midoriya could speak out any flustered response, Todoroki lightly scratched his hands on Midoriya’s tummy, who immediately erupted in bubbly giggles.
“Eeheeheeheehee, Todoroki! W-Wahahahait!” Midoriya swatted at Todoroki’s hands, covering his mouth with one hand to try and suppress the giggles that kept bubbling out of his throat.
“I’ll stop whenever you want me to, okay?” Todoroki said gently, his hands now exploring Midoriya’s sides as he let out a squeak, his giggles slowly forming into laughter.
Midoriya nodded, covering his mouth with both hands as Todoroki continued his torture. It was very ticklish, yes, but it was also gentle, and it made Midoriya feel safe as he laughed, Todoroki slowly going up to his ribs. Midoriya jolted and Todoroki halted.
“Not here?”
“Nohohoho, it’s… it’s okay,” Midoriya blushed, Todoroki smiling as he dug his fingers in a bit harder than before into Midoriya, showing that the gentle warm-up from earlier was over and it was time for some serious tickles and loud laughter, which quickly followed from Midoriya.
He twisted around slightly under Todoroki, but with him on top it was hard to move at all, so Midoriya could do nothing but cackle as Todoroki scooted down slightly in his straddle, squeezing Midoriya’s hips, who let out a loud shriek, followed by a flood of loud laughter.
“Waahahahahait Todoroki! Nohohohoho, not there!” Midoriya whined, swatting at Todoroki’s hands. Todoroki merely grinned down at Midoriya and continued to tickle him.
“You asked for it, and I’m only gonna stop when you ask,” Todoroki explained simply, drilling his fingers into Midoriya’s hip bone. Midoriya let out a loud yelp.
“AHAHAHAhahahahahaha, nooo!” Midoriya screamed, squirming violently as Todoroki mercilessly tickled one of his worst spots.
“Does it tickle bad here? Want me to change spots?” Todoroki asked, slowing his pace as Midoriya giggled breathlessly.
“P-Please,”
Todoroki nodded, lifting up Midoriya’s thin T-shirt he was wearing.
“Wh- huh?!” Midoriya gasped, not expecting that to happen. Before he could say anything else, however, Todoroki’s hands descended upon his tummy once more, Todoroki using his nails to scratch gently at Midoriya’s sensitive skin, driving him very quickly up the wall as he arched his back, screaming with laughter.
“NAHAHAHAhahaha!! T-Tohohohohodorokii!” Midoriya managed to gasp out through his mad cackles, twisting from side to side as Todoroki had one hand drum up Midoriya’s ribs while the other went under his unprotected arm.
Midoriya felt tears prick the corners of his eyes, he felt like he’d need to ask Todoroki to stop soon if he didn’t want to pee himself, but at the same time… he felt like he didn’t want this to stop. It was nice being this close to Todoroki, he didn’t feel flustered or embarrassed and, even though he was being tickled to death, it still made him feel more comfortable around him.
He was so caught up in his own thoughts and the sensations overwhelming his body, Midoriya didn’t notice Todoroki lower his head towards his tummy until it was too late.
Pbft!
Midoriya screamed, pushing at Todoroki’s head as he continued to blow raspberries all over Midoriya’s tummy, hands still working right at his lower ribs. Midoriya felt tears finally trickle out of his eyes as he desperately gasped out.
“STOHOHOP!! Plehehease no mohohohohohore!”
As soon as those words were spoken, Todoroki lifted his head up, along with his hands, as Midoriya greedily gulped in as much air as he could, thankful that he could finally breathe normally again.
“Did I go too far?” Todoroki asked innocently, tilting his head to the side a bit. Midoriya shook his head.
“No, noho you didn’t… ah that actually helped a lot, thank you…” Midoriya muttered, blushing slightly, partially from the tickle attack he still hadn’t recovered from.
Todoroki smiled, leaning in and pressing a kiss to Midoriya’s temple. Midoriya flushed, pulling away slightly, but then he laughed slightly.
“I didn’t feel as embarrassed that time!” He said proudly, Todoroki chuckling.
“I guess I’ll have to tickle you a lot from now on then,” He said, raising his hands again.
“Wait, I’m not embarrassed right now, wahahahahait!”

And They Were Roommates
A/N
So I have started rewatching New Girl again, and it has just inspired a world of ideas. So please enjoy. Bucky x Sam x Reader. Minor swearing. Teen + Audience.
The alarm buzzed aggressively, the high-pitched screech ringing through your ears and forcing your body to move in the bed. With a heavy yawn, your arm lazily danced across the bedside table. Finally stopping when it found the source, your fingers gripping the phone and finally stopping the noise. Your eyes squinted towards the glaring screen, a few messages from the previous night waiting to be read greeted you, as well as a missed call from an unknown number and a couple of notifications from tinder. Glancing at the time, it was 7 am. Far too early to reply to your friends, let alone random people who you would most likely end up never replying to again. Your hand dropped the phone onto the sheets, your body taking one final stretch before moving to your feet. Sluggishly you moved across to your drawers, pulling out some underwear for the day. Allowing you to begin your morning adventure to the shared bathroom.
Your hand slapped against the shower, forcing the object to spring to life. You decided to brush your teeth first, allowing the water to warm up before forcing yourself into it. “Bucky! Sam! Bathroom Now!” You shouted, throwing your brush down into the sink. You listened to the noises shuffling around the apartment. A few annoyed grunts, doors slamming and finally muffled “What did you do” being shouted by both men.
“Are you crazy? Its 7am, only crazy people shout at 7am!” Bucky huffed, folding his arms across his body. You could tell he had only recently gone to sleep, his eyes heavy with bags. His lower half was covered in pyjama bottoms and his top in a loosely zipped up hoodie. “Who left hair removal cream, next to the toothpaste! They look the same” You held both of the bottles towards the two men. “I could have lost my teeth” You dramatically hissed towards them both. Their bodies recoiling at your words. “I don’t think it works like that?” Sam questioned with a laugh. He had clearly been up for a while. He was dressed in his training gear, and his water bottle half empty already. “I. Could. Have. Lost. My. Teeth” You stressed the point to the pair of them. Almost willing them to just confess now. “Sam said it helps him go faster” Bucky blurted out. Sam’s hand swiftly smashing itself against the others chest. “Shut up. That’s private” Sam snapped at him, smacking him again. “Plus, Bucky asked me to do his back yesterday. It’s his fault”
“Shut up” Bucky shoved his shoulder into Sam, causing Sam’s body to collide with the door frame. A heavy bang created against his landing. You threw the tube of cream towards the pair, snapping them out of their argument. “Well whoever it was, just clean up after yourselves. Now leave” You pointed your finger towards the door, your eyes watching as the pair shuffled away.
After your shower, you quickly threw together an outfit for the day. You didn’t really have any plans, since it was the weekend. But you liked routine, and wanted to feel like you had some form of structure for the day. You let your feet lead you towards the open plan kitchen living room. The apartment had a large sofa, which could comfortable seat around eight people. A coffee table sat in front, which was regularly used as a foot stool and across from that a TV Bucky had managed to get for free hung on the wall. Just behind the sofa and slightly to the left sat the kitchen. There was a large wooden island in the centre of the area, a few stools tucked neatly underneath it. A fridge stood in the corner by Bucky’s bedroom door. The name tag “Steve” thoughtfully written across the front of the metal object. You grabbed your cereal box from the top shelf and a bowl from the cupboard below. Balancing them both against your chest, as you moved to the island.
You sat quietly chewing away, your finger scrolling down your phone as you shoved more food into your mouth. You let your eyes leave the phone, as you heard the bedroom door click open. “Since I can’t sleep because of you, I am having some of your cereal” Bucky huffed, grabbing the box from the counter and pouring some dry into his mouth. “Wouldn’t have happened if you didn’t spend so much time on your hair care and less time on cleaning up after yourself” You cocked your head towards the sink, piled high with mugs and cups from Bucky’s room. “I’m getting to it” He shrugged back, pouring another mouthful in. “What are your plans today?” “Nothing really. I’ve been asked to go out for drinks tonight, but I’m not too sure” You went back to your phone, your eyes rereading a message from someone on tinder. You didn’t really want anything serious right now, but also you were bored and just wanted some attention. If it came with free drinks surely it wouldn’t be too bad? “Wow, you have a date. Good job” Bucky’s hand slapped against your shoulder. Your lips forming a small “Ow”. Sometimes the man with a metal arm forgot just how strong he was. Bucky and Sam had seen you at your relationship highs and lows. Just like you had with them. When you got dumped Bucky sat and watched the whole of the twilight saga with you. He didn’t even moan about how ridiculous the wolves looked. Whereas Sam taught himself dance routines to try and cheer you up. When Sam got ghosted by the girl he had been talking to for 5 months, you and Bucky took him out and got him so drunk he forgot his own name. There was also the time Bucky decided it was time to date again, only to be catfished. So, you and Sam created a whole new drinking game based in the apartment. A mixture of the floor is lava and nominations. “It’s not a date as such…” You turned your phone to Bucky showing him the persons profile. “Just a couple of drinks” You watched as he snatched the phone from your hand, his finger scrolling through the photos. “Really” He asked, holding a group photo in your face. The photo was a group of six people dressed as farm animals, all downing their drinks. “You must be lonely”
“Jheez thanks Buck” You took the phone back off him, and picked up your bowl. You pushed passed him, dropping your bowl into the sink. “You can clean that as well now” You sung back towards him. His eyes glared towards you, keeping full eye contact as poured more cereal into his mouth.
You decided to go tonight. It was only the bar across the street, if anything too serious happened you could easily run away. Plus, if the worse came to worse, you could just shout out the door and Sam and Bucky would be over there in a second. You didn’t make too much of an effort with your outfit. A pair of jeans and a nice shirt hanging off of your shoulders. Your hair just fell naturally, and your face was lightly dusted in makeup. Just enough to give you that extra boost of confidence. A pair of boots sat on your feet, you had made sure they were comfortable enough for you to be able to run away if you had to. “Look at you” Sam whistled as you opened your bedroom door. His body rested against his door frame. “Who’s the lucky person?” “Just a random tinder date” You shrugged, pulling your door shut behind you. “Wait a second” Sam slipped into his room. The sound of fast movements coming from behind the door, before he returned to his previous position. “Be safe” You fumbled as you caught the object he threw in your direction. A small purple latex square glaring at your face, as Sam started to laugh. “Thanks, I’ll use your bed” You smiled back, shoving the condom into your purse. “I would say don’t wait up… but wait until I text please” He just nodded, firing a thumbs up towards you. The bar was nothing spectacular. It was dimly lit, with booth tables scattered around the floor. There was a large wooden bar which covered the centre of the room. The bathrooms sat on either side of the object. You let your eyes scan around the room for your date, a slight sigh of relief when you realised you were there first. Walking over to the bar, you let your body drop onto a stool. Ordering yourself a drink, as you constantly watched your phone. A slight twinge of excitement shooting up your spine, as you saw a message flash up.
Bionic Man 20:08 pm
Where is my jacket?
You rolled your eyes and ignored the message. Continuing to sip on your drink, as you carried on waiting.
Bionic Man 20:20pm
This date must be amazing if you are ignoring my serious issues.
You were now onto your second drink, still waiting for your date to arrive. You opened up tinder, releasing maybe it was time to message them. But when you opened the app you were greeted with something that caused confusion. The person you had arranged the date with was no longer there. The messages no longer existed and the profile was no longer visible to you. You heart sinking as you realised you had been stood up. You didn’t really want the date. Of course, you didn’t. But it still hurt to not be good enough for someone to want to meet up with. You downed your drink and locked your phone again. Holding the glass up, as you waited for another refill. “Right I am sorry to interrupt” Your head turned towards the man storming towards you. Your eyes meeting Bucky’s. He was dressed in a pair of jeans and a tight-fitting dark t-shirt. His hair was slightly slighted and his facial shaped more than it had been recently. “Oh, where is your date? Are they in the bathroom?” “No, just me” You span around dramatically, your hands indicating towards the empty seats either side of you. “What are you so dressed up for?” “Oh well Sam has gone out. So, I decided to go out, you know give this whole meeting new people thing a chance” He stood behind you, looking down on you as you finished another drink. “Do you want a drink? Or do you have to go?”
“Are you buying?” His mouth twisted into a smile, as he moved to the seat next to you. “No, I thought you would buy a drink for the heart broken person” You squeezed your eyes together hoping to push out a few tears, resting your head against his shoulder. Quickly Bucky shoved you away, trying to gain the bartenders attention.
“I don’t buy drinks for sad people” He laughed ordering himself a beer. “This is why you don’t get dates” You huffed, squinting your eyes at him. His mouth releasing a laugh at your reaction. When the bartender returned, he passed your glass back over to him. “My point still stands” You teased back, taking the drink.
“No, I don’t get dates because I spend all my time looking after you” His finger poked into your side, as he took a drink from his beer. “Me” Your hand slapped against your chest in shock. “I think it’s the other way around” “Is that so?” His eyebrow raised, as he shuffled closer to you. His shoulder resting against yours. “Look since I moved in with you, my dating life is non-existent. I thought living with a literal wingman, I would be having a great time!”
“I have been frozen, an assassin and now I’m years older than everyone in this time …and you think you are having a bad time dating?”
“Yes” You replied back, shoving against him. “I do”
“Right, well if that’s how you feel. I am going to leave you to wallow in yourself pity” Bucky took one last long drink from his bottle. His hands rested against the bar, as he began to push himself away. “If you leave me now, you will have to deal with me crying tomorrow. Do you really want that? Do you?”
His hands quickly dropped from the bar, and back to his bottle. A slight smile on his mouth as he held the drink towards you. “It’s still half full you idiot. Now are you buying this round, or are you going to make a war veteran spend all of his money to fill that void in your chest”

Jet-lag
Tony x reader x Pepper
Busy is synonymous with your relationship. It was not uncommon for someone on the team or anyone else to comment the fact that the three of you look tired. The three of you always looked tired, though Pepper tried hardest to hide it, because the three of you were tired.
Pepper had stacks of papers to go through before she would allow herself to sleep, Tony had lists of inventions and upgrades to previously existing intentions he wanted to try before he would crash, and you yourself had lists of things you wanted to accomplish, whether they be paperwork or training, before you could factor in sleep.
You would think that with the endless things the three of you had to do you would rarely see each other. That was not the case. The three of you always ensured that you all made time for each other because you all wanted to keep this relationship. There was nothing the three of you wanted more than each other that meant you made time for each other.
Whether it simply be working in the same vicinity, no words need be shared as you all did the things you needed, or constantly texting or calling each other to talk about nonsense while you filled out paperwork, you made time.
There was a downside to busy. Busy could fill your days and your life but it also takes your time. It was no surprise that sometimes busy required you to leave the country. Separating the three of you and the small amount of free time you had for each other.
Busy could go fuck itself. Who was busy to take you out of the country and take away what little free time you had together? Busy could not separate you.
“You’re sure you’re both fine?” Pepper asked down the line. “And not your versions of fine where you have organs falling out, I mean my version of fine.”
“Your version of fine isn’t much better than ours.” You pointed out, leaning your head against Tony’s shoulder. “You broke your arm and didn’t get a cast for a day.”
“I had a meeting.” She dismissed. “But seriously, are you okay?”
“We’re fine, Pep.” Tony assured her, pulling you close. “No organs falling out or anything.” He promised.
“Thank God.” Pepper sighed in relief.
“We’re not that reckless.” Tony said. “You don’t need to worry so much about us.”
“Worry is my default emotion when it comes to you two.” Pepper told him. “Well that or annoyance.”
“Are you sure you have to go to Paris?” You cut in before Tony started arguing. “I was looking forward to relaxing with you for a while.”
“I’m sorry hon, if there were anyone else who could go in my place I would let them, but I have to go.” Pepper said. “It’s only for a couple of days and then I’ll be back with you.” She promised. “Are you two going to be okay for a couple of days?”
“We’ll be fine.” Tony assured her. “You just get there safely and we'll see you when you get back.”
“Okay, I’ll see you by the end of the week.” She reminded you both. “I love you.”
“Love you too.” You both chimed as the call ended.
“What are you doing?” You murmured as Tony began to rapidly type on his phone.
“It’s a surprise, you’ll find out soon.” He told you. “Go to sleep baby girl, I’ll wake you up when we get home.” He said, pulling you closer and kissing the top of your head. You let out a content hum and relaxed into his grip.
“Tony, where are we?” You questioned as you woke up. Waking up it was clear that you were not in the quinjet but you also weren’t back in your own bed.
“We're on the private plane.” Tony said, clicking his tablet off and turning towards you.
“Why are we on the plane?” You further asked him, sitting your chair up. “How did we get on the plane without you waking me up?”
“We are going to see Pepper. I’ve completely cleared our schedule for the next week and we're going to meet her there.” He told you, taking your hand in his. “I had no clue how deep a sleeper you are. You didn’t even stir once.”
“Probably didn’t help I got a hit to the head.” You shrugged, playing with his fingers.
“I can’t tell if you’re joking or not.” Tony said, looking you over in concern.
“Nope.” You said, popping the p. “I got whacked in the head about half way through. Clearly not that big a deal. How long till we land?”
“Pepper might be right about us not knowing what okay is.” Tony muttered. “We’ll be landing in about an hour. Don’t go back to sleep though.”
Two hours later the two of you were in Paris. Tony had called Peppers hotel to alert them to your arrival and as soon as you arrived they’d granted you access to her presidential suite.
You and Tony were relaxing on the suites large bed when you heard the door open. The two of you shared a smile as you heard Pepper enter. Even from the bedroom you could hear Pepper muttering angrily to herself.
It was a few more minutes before Pepper came into the bedroom and when she did, she had a bottle of wine in hand.
“Not a bad year, but personally I prefer the 2001 version.” Tony said suddenly causing Pepper to jump.
“Christ.” She cried as she jumped in surprise. “You’re always giving me a heart attack.” She smiled, pressing her free hand to her chest.
“It’s all his fault.” You smirked as the red head came over to the bed.
“To be fair, I’m not mad at this.” She murmured, sitting on the bed with you. “This is a nice surprise.”
“All my idea.” Tony boasted. “Thought you’d need some sights to see.”
“What a great idea.” Pepper smirked, crawling into the bed with you both.
Pepper didn’t have any meetings until the day after tomorrow, so you spent the rest of that night drinking, catching up and eventually curling into a tight pile and sleeping the jet-lag away.
“Why do I have to go?” Tony whined, flopping onto the bed.
“Because the P.R department says you have to go.” You told him with a smirk, sitting on the bed next to him.
“And when have they ever made any good decisions?” He continued to whine as Pepper packed his bags.
“All the time, considering how much work they have to do with the press for you.” Pepper said, causing you to laugh and Tony to splutter his offence.
“You two are mean.” Tony complained.
“And you’re a man child.” You retorted. “I don’t know why you’re complaining, you’ve got to go to Spain for a week, it’s not that big a deal.”
“Not that big a deal? I have to leave my girls for a week, and you’re say in it’s not that big a deal? For shame Y/N.”
“You really are a man child sometimes.” Pepper said to herself.
“Are you sure you can’t come with me?” Tony asked you both. “It could be fun.”
“The way you’re talking about it, that sounds like a lie to me.” You rolled your eyes.
“We talked about this. I have a meeting with the board and Y/N has a couple meetings with Fury and Natasha.” Pepper sighed. “It’s one week, hon.”
“Fine, I’ll go. But I’m not happy about it.” He said, sitting up. “Let me get packing.”
“Already finished.” Pepper said, zipping the suitcase up. “Been packing this whole time.”
“I still got what, three hours before I have to go?” Tony questioned.
“Technically you have less, you still need to board and go through security.” You commented, tilting your head to the side.
“Either way, I have at least two hours before I have to leave. What do you say we have do something to pass the time?”
“Pepper don’t even think about it.” You said, taking the phone out of her hands.
“I wasn’t doing anything.” Pepper said as she reached for her phone. “Can I have my phone back?”
“Nope. If I give it back to you, you’re either going to answer emails or call Tony to let him know we're coming. It’s a surprise Pepper.” You told her, putting the phone in your bag.
Tony had been in Spain for three days. He’d taken every opportunity to call and text even just to say the most nonsensical things. But that wasn’t enough. It had been months since the three of you went to Paris for a week and since then you had not had a lot of time together.
You and Pepper had decided that a week in Spain was exactly what your relationship needed at the moment. The two of you had made quick work of rearranging meetings or postponing them completely in Peppers case before making arrangements to surprise Tony.
“I know but what if doesn’t want us there?” Pepper questioned. “What we just get in the way?”
“Pepper, the man was begging us to join him two days ago. The man called us during a meeting because he was bored. He wants us there, now get some sleep. You’re going to feel the jet lag when we land you get grouchy with no sleep.” You teased, pulling the red head close and pressing your lips to hers gently.
“I’m only going to sleep because I’m tired, not because you’re right on the grouchy thing.” Pepper muttered, resting her head on your shoulder.
Several hours later you were your way to Tony’s hotel. Night had already fallen when you’d landed but neither of you paid any mind to the fact. As you exited the Uber you were greeted by a member of the hotel staff who had been expecting the two of you.
“I wonder if he’ll be asleep?” Pepper questioned you as you took the key card.
“He probably only would have just fallen asleep.” You shrugged, entering the elevator. “It’s only three.”
The two of you finally made your way into Tony’s room. The room was mostly shrouded in darkness but you could see a light coming from the bedroom. You both shed your jackets and shoes before silently waking into the room.
The lights were out but the T.V. illuminated the room brightly. Tony was fast asleep on the bed, limbs sticking out every which way. As gently as you could, you and Pepper manoeuvred Tony’s limbs back onto the bed and then climbed in on either side of him.
“This is a nice surprise.” Tony mumbled, loosely wrapping his arms around you both.
“We thought so.” You smiled, kissing his cheek.
“Go back to sleep. We’ll still be here in the morning.” Pepper said, curling into his side.
It had been a couple of weeks since the three of you spent a week in Spain. It had been a great holiday away from your busy lives but once it was over, the three of you had to go back to your lives.
With work beginning to pile up, you were already stressed. And to make matters worse, your mother called you to say your grandmother had fallen ill and wasn’t likely to get better. Seeing as both Tony and Pepper were busy with work, you’d made the decision that you would go home on your own.
“Are you sure you don’t want us to come?” Pepper questioned as you packed a suitcase.
“It’s fine Pep. I just need to take care of something and I’ll be back by the end of the week.” You promised her.
“Alright but you’ll call if you need anything right?” Tony asked, wrapping his arms around your waist. “And I mean anything?”
“Of course.” You smiled weakly.
Two days later you were back home in Australia. Part of you felt happy to be home, you had missed the heat and your family, but the rest of you couldn’t help but find yourself feeling worse than you did back in New York.
On top of the stress you were feeling from work, feeling guilty for lying to your partners, really feeling the jet lag, now you just felt incredibly numb as you watched your grandmothers strength fade.
It was the middle of the day when you finally shut down. You hadn’t moved from your bed in hours, you’d allowed yourself to submit to your to your anxieties and grief.
You were just beginning to drift off to sleep when you heard your door open. You didn't turn at the noise as you continued to drift.
"I know you're not asleep, baby girl." You heard as the bed dipped behind you.
"Tony?" You mumbled, shifting slightly to see your partner.
"Your mom called, said she was worried about you. How come you didn't tell us what was going on?" He asked you, wrapping his arms around you tightly.
"Didn't want to bother you." You mumbled, pressing your face into his chest, comforted by the glow of his arc reactor. "It's not your problem."
"Well you're my problem, so that makes this my problem." Tony said, running his fingers through your hair.
"Real romantic, Tony." Pepper snorted, climbing in on your other side. "How are you doing, hon?"
"I'm tired." You murmured as she pressed herself into your back.
"Jet lag will do that to you." Tony commented, making you laugh slightly.
"Get some sleep. We'll be here when you wake up." Pepper said, trailing her fingers down your spine.
"I love you two. Thank you for being here." You said, losing your eyes as you allowed yourself to fall asleep.
"We love you too." Tony's voice was the last thing you heard before you fell asleep.
The three of you were never too busy for each other, you just had to make time. Even if that took you across the world.

I smashed the keypad multiple times with the handle of a knife before the metal finally fell. I pulled all the wires out before hearing the words ‘System Malfunction’.
If I hadn’t disarmed the alarm system already. I’d probably be worried right about now. I manually slid open the cell door.
That’s when she glanced up at me.
“Took you look enough,” She smirked.
“I could’ve gotten you out sooner if you didn’t get your ass locked up in solitary,” I tossed her the Black Cat suit.
“You know I still don’t know your name or what you look like,” She stated pulling the suit up “and I don’t think that's fair seeing as you know those things about me,” She cooed.
I pulled my mask over my face “It’s Y/N. Happy now?”
“Wow I always knew your voice sounded attractive, matches the face,”
“Okay, we can kiss my ass later but now we have about 2 minutes to get out before the guards come and get us,”
Leaving the building the same way I came in through the vent. You’d think they’d have better security. I was thankful they didn’t when we finally reached the car.
“Who’s car is this?” Felicia asked hopping in the passenger seat.
“Dunno,” I said, putting the car in the drive.
“Hold on tight,” I warned before ramming into the fence at full speed successfully knocking it down.
I was definitely not holding my breath that whole time. And I definitely was not doubting myself. Okay maybe I was, a little.
“I’m surprised that actually worked, none of this was planned at all,” I laughed in relief.
She laughed along with me
“Plans are for the ‘good guys’, if you’re smart enough you don’t need plans,”
“If that’s not the truth,” I replied turning onto a deserted road “You owe me again, I’m not counting, but I believe the score’s 3:1,”
She was right, you never need a plan. Second moral to the story is that even “villains” never work alone. I know I always talk that “every man for themselves” mess but everyone needs a support team. And for people who supposedly have no morals they haven’t betrayed me yet.
There are the bad guys and then there are the bad guys. The heroes didn’t seem to care which you were, they just wanted you locked up or dead and to get all the glory for it. I think it’s time one of us gets the glory.
“Ow!” I exclaimed, pulling myself out of my thoughts.
“Sorry,” Olivia muttered, “You need to be still,” She said, dabbing a cloth on my leg.
“Well it’s hard to be still when your leg is burning,”
I was expecting some jab or joke like normal but it was silent. She looked up at me and I could see the tears forming in her eyes.
“Y/N…” Her eyes drifted over my bruised and cut up body, her voice breaking.
“You don’t have to worry about me, I promise I’m fine,”
“How am I supposed to believe that when you won’t tell me anything?”
“I don’t tell you anything cause then you’d worry,”
“Well I’m already worried!”
The next day of school was very ordinary. Well as ordinary as it got when you were a kid who was wanted in multiple cities. My body wasn’t as sore as it was the day before, the bruises were clearing up, but honestly these new weapons were no joke. I’d seen them burn straight through buildings and a ferry now. Anyways like I was saying before today was ordinary, nothing exciting unfortunately.
Rich kids in Queens take homecoming a little too seriously. For the most part, I’m not complaining penthouse parties were fun. Rich white kids love their molly.
Harry Osborn was one of those rich kids. If we’re being honest I feel like he does coke on occasion. I don’t think he actually liked homecoming all that much seeing as he’s pretty new to our school. I just think he likes being able to brag about his parties and get wasted at parties.
One of those parties would be the one I was getting ready for right now.
Olivia walked into the bathroom and stood in the doorway. This bathroom was very modern as well as the whole house. Like an art gallery.
“Hey kitten,” I said since she wasn’t going to say anything.
“Hey,”
“Are you sure you don’t want to come?” I asked.
“You know how I feel about Harry’s parties,”
That I did, her dad and Harry’s dad seemed to have some sort of beef. That I didn’t care enough to get into. But Olivia's family took it pretty seriously. I guess I could say Felicia and Olivia’s family. It’s still weird to see them as siblings. It’s not surprising, just weird. Just a weird family of kleptomaniacs.
This isn’t something I say often but I looked really hot. Like really fucking hot. I had even winged eyeliner. A nice black tube top. A pastel pink tennis skirt. I had black thong type thing on, you could see the thin straps resting on my waist from above the skirt. It wasn’t like I was trying to get fucked or anything because I was not planning on being the slightest bit of sober.
I also had thigh high socks on but only because they could conceal a knife and I’d been on high alert lately. Just because I wasn’t going to be sober didn’t mean I couldn’t protect myself. It's a sort of muscle memory when it comes to knives, at least with me
If I wore this anywhere near the kids at my old school they’d probably call me a wannabe white girl, but those kids aren’t there and they have no part of my life anymore.
I just wanted to get so fucked up that I couldn’t think at all.
I couldn’t help but think. That’s all I could do lately. My brain wouldn’t slow down to let me breathe for even one second. I just wanted to breathe and go to bed. I still can’t sleep. At least now I have a valid reason. I don’t like talking about it because it’s not a big deal or anything, but today is the anniversary of-. It’s the day Rose died. No use sugarcoating it. It passes every year, no use being in my feels about it. Couldn’t help it though, every year I’d get sad about it for about 5 minutes until I did so many drugs that I couldn’t blink.
As soon I stepped into the house. I was hit with the buzz I hadn’t felt in a while. I missed it too. It wasn’t like Liz’s “party” her thing could’ve been fun but the whole headache, Vulture thing and lack of drugs made it suck.
Anyways who cares about that. I’d been at this school long enough to know who had molly. I’d either have to flirt with them or pay which I was down for either.
See I knew the chewlery gem rod I had attached to a necklace would come in handy one of these days. Now I wouldn’t bite my mouth.
Only problem is I could still think. Which wasn’t good. There was some sort of jungle juice on the table but I just went straight for a bottle of beer sitting on the counter, because I was shaking too much to pour anything.
Beer has to be the nastiest form of alcohol out there. It looks like pee, tastes like pee, it’s like they didn’t bother trying to mask the taste of yeast in it.
My body was vibrating in a good way as I started talking to people. By the time I’d made small talk with the third person around me. I’d finished the beer and I went back to the kitchen to fill a cup with some form of alcohol and soda I wasn’t picky. Harry must’ve had the same idea.
“Hey,” He said.
“Hey, where’s your groupie,” I said referring to the blonde that’d I seen around him earlier.
“You mean Gwen?” He said, bringing a solo cup to his lips.
“Probably,” I moved over grabbing the orange soda next to me.
“Why’re you wondering, jealous?” He asked being his signature flirtatious self. There was this one time that we… you know. But we were both drunk so it doesn’t count.
“You wish I was jealous,” I rolled my eyes “We both know you're the one obsessed with me,” I laughed.
“Yep, dream about you every night,” He joked back.
I took a sip from my drink squinting as it slightly burned my throat.
“I’m sure you do,” I headed out of the kitchen.
I could feel my brain slowing down as I started to calm. That was until Facts by Kanye came on. Then suddenly it felt like my blood was boiling in my veins and I couldn’t breathe and not in the good way. I made my way to the nearest bathroom and hoped no one was making out in there.
I opened the door and the coast was clear.
I splashed water on my face. When I looked in the mirror my pupils were dilated and my face was flush. Normally my skin tone masked the effects of blushing but not this time.
I wasn’t drunk. Maybe I was but I wasn’t enough. I was still laying on the bathroom floor because it was cold and felt good in contrast against my hot skin. I was going through my phone and landed on Peter’s number. I texted him because I was bored and I can text whoever I want.
you: helo
About thirty seconds later he responded, guess he was already on his phone.
P 😜🤚: Hey
you: do yuo like pengwings
pengns
fck
penguns
penguins
He read the messages and responded rather quickly
P 😜🤚: ?
You okay?
you: yesh im fine d you like penfuins
P 😜🤚: Are you drunk
you: no im nt drunk i m jst hPpy
P 😜🤚: yeah sure, where are you.
Before I could think, I clicked the option to send location. Even if I did think it wouldn’t have done much help. None of my thoughts were coherent. I was actually happy, like really really happy.
I was still laying on the ground when I felt the floor vibrate with the knock at the door.
“Who is it?” I asked.
“Peter,” The voice called out
“Come in!” I said in a sing-songy voice.
He opened the door slowly and looked around before looking down at me.
“Hiii,”
“Hey, what are you doing on the floor,”
I shrugged after slowly pushing off the floor so I wouldn’t lose balance.
“How’d you get here?” Since I know he couldn’t drive.
“I got an Uber,”
“That’s adorable,”
“What’s adorable,”
“You, you spent money on a ride just to come see me,” I pointed out, voice cracking halfway through the sentence as tears started to well in my eyes.
“Wait don’t cry, I’m sorry, did I do something? If I did sorry for whatever it was-”
“No you didn’t do anything, it’s just me,” I moved a hand off the counter I was holding onto for balance before wiping my face. I don’t cry, at least not willingly and definitely not in front of anyone else.
“Well I was going to…” He fiddled with his hands before continuing “I was going to ask if you needed a ride because I didn’t know if you drove here or not and you’re clearly drunk-“
“I’m not drunk!” I said. “I don’t drink how could I be drunk,”
“Okay, but like I was saying do you need a ride?”
I was going to say I didn’t want to leave yet but it’s not like I was doing anything but being pathetic and hanging out in the bathroom.
“Fine, yeah”
Peter opened his mouth like he was about to say something but a knock on the door interrupted. I immediately opened the door and grabbed Peter’s wrist running, for no reason except I felt like it. I bumped into a couple doorways
By the time we’d made it out by the pool Peter was hunched over trying to catch his breath.
I started running toward the water and I could hear a faint
“Y/N don't!” As I was running but it was too late seeing as I was already in the water. I laughed as I broke the surface as I floated on my back.
Peter came over to the edge of the water and squatted down.
“Y/N”
“And nothing hurts anymore I feel kinda free!” I sang splashing around in the pool.
“Y/N”
“We're still the kids we used to be,”
“Y/N!” Peter yelled, snapping my attention back to him.
“Hmm?” I asked.
“You need to get out the pool,”
“I don’t wanna,” I whined.
“Yeah I know but don’t you wanna go home?” He asked.
The last place I’d ever want to go is “home”
“No, get in the pool,”
“Y/N,” He said sternly.
“Pleaseee,”
“Get out the pool it’s cold you’re gonna get sick,”
“Fine…” I made my way begrudgingly to the steps of the pool.
Peter gave me the hoodie he was wearing so I was able to take my skirt and socks off. I put the knife I had in the hoodie pocket.
The last thing I remember is getting in some car.
Oh shit
I woke up in a room that I did not recognize. I swear to God if I got kidnapped again. I sat up quickly and hit my head on something. It was dark but there was a nightlight. Thank God if we’re being honest I’m scared of the dark. Long story I don’t wanna get into it.
I was definitely hungover, headache prominent. It only worsened when I stepped out the room and the light from the TV hit my eyes. I glanced over to Peter laying on the couch.
Oh yeah I forgot about that.
“Hey…” I whispered. He shifted a bit “You awake?”
He sat up and looked at me rubbing his eyes before bombarding me with questions.
“Did you- Are you okay? Does your head hurt? Do you need painkillers? Sorry that I brought you here and didn’t ask. That's really creepy but you were asleep and I didn’t want to wake you because you seemed tired. Again sorry it’s just I didn’t really even know where you lived and I was-“
“Oh my God, shut up!” I interrupted.
He looked stunned, blinking a few times.
“Sorry,” I held my hand to my forehead in exasperation. “Sorry, it’s just you- you were making my head hurt.”
“Oh I’m sorry,”
“No, I promise it’s not you, if it’s okay with you can I go back to sleep? I don’t really feel like going home right now,”
“Yes of course you can!” He sat up and pushed the blanket off of him before standing. “Wait I’ll be right back,” He said. I nodded before hesitantly sitting down on the couch.
He came back rather quickly with a glass of water and some painkillers. I mumbled a quick thank you before taking them.
I yawned, surprised that I was able to actually feel tired. Normally it took at least a few hours before I could sleep if I even got the chance.
“You can take the bed,” Peter informed.
“I just wanna stay right here,” I said lazily.
He tried to scoot over but I already had my arms wrapped around him so I squeezed him tighter. I looked up and his face was tinted red, smiling before I drifted off.
I felt light hit my face and I heard the squeak of a door. I sat up and slowly unwrapped my arms from around Peter. Walking over towards May.
“I’m sorry I didn’t know if it was okay for me to stay here I should’ve called and asked,”
“No, no it’s perfectly fine,”
“Okay…”
“He talks about you all the time you know,”
I smiled at her and she smiled back.
“Thanks for not killing me for being in your house,” I joked. “But I should probably get home anyway,”
I didn’t go home. Mostly because I don’t have an actual home. I didn’t go to any of the almost 13 places I’ve stayed at, at some point either. I went to some shitty hotel. I had enough money to stay for about a week. Which was great I could stay for all of homecoming week then I’d have to find somewhere else to stay before I got more money at least.
The last step for this day was go to Olivia’s house and get my stuff back. I made my way into the house through the back door, and sure enough she was sitting on the couch like parents in movies when they catch you sneaking out.
She eyed the bag in my hand.
“So you’re leaving?”
“I-“ I didn’t get the chance to speak.
“And you weren’t going to tell me, oh okay,”
“Olivia…”
“Where are you gonna stay?”
“I’m going back to my grandma's house,”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah, again I’m sorry that I tried to leave without telling you I just-“
“Didn’t want to be interrogated?”
“Yeah…”
”It’s okay, I get it, come give me a hug,”
I moved giving her a hug and she mumbled
“You smell like booze,”
As soon as I got back to the hotel I turned on the movie Frozen. Which I knew was a bad idea because the movie always made me cry.
I ended up crying myself to sleep and by the time I woke up I was late for school. I slept for 18 hours straight.
If I was going to be late might as well have had a reason. So, I got smoothies.
“I love smoothies a lot, but banana is so so strong. Which like makes it pointless to put anything else in it. People should stop saying strawberry and banana smoothie because in reality it’s a BANANA and strawberry smoothie,” I took another sip of my smoothie.
“Damn bitch, you’re saying a lot and fast what’d they put in that smoothie,” Bri said examining the cup before turning to me again “And can I have some?” I laughed before lighty shoving her shoulder.
“Noo! Continue talking you were my reference for my excitement portrait,” MJ said flipping her sketchbook towards me “I’ve missed my one and only chance to see you happy,”
“Now I know you’re not talking, I don’t think anyone has seen you smile ever,”
I slid down the bench of the lunch table
“Whatcha watching Phineas?” I asked Peter. He quickly swiped out the app. “Was it porn?”
“No! Wha- What?”
I patted his shoulder “Relax dude, I was just messing with you,”
That was the last I’d spoken to any of my friends. In all actuality that was the last time I’d spoken to anyone besides the hotel staff. I hadn’t been to school since...what’s today? Wednesday. Well then I hadn’t been to school since 3 days ago. Which also means I haven’t eaten since a week ago?
Okay I know how bad that sounds but it’s not like I’ve been eating nothing. I just haven’t been hungry lately, I have had snacks though like goldfish and chips. I’ve just been too lazy to cook and don’t have the funds to cook. I’ve also been too lazy to fake a smile or whatever so I just haven’t been going to school.
However what I have been and haven’t been eating is the issue of concern here. It’s that alien shit from the Avengers a few years ago is so much deeper than anyone could have ever thought. I’d been in research mode for a while now. I call it the zone, anything you say to me will go unheard, I mean business when I’m in the zone. If I want something to happen it will.
“Okay so, I’ll start with the government flash drive. So the aliens that attacked a while back in 2012 were called Chitauri. So Loki had control of them and was using them as an army. Loki being Thor’s brother and the God of mischief,” I clarified.
''And Loki was attacking because he wanted to be king but his brother was king instead. I mean I think, I don’t really get that part. So there was this thing called the tesseract and it’s supposedly like super powerful. This branch of government called Shield doesn’t want Loki to have this so they keep, then the invasion ensues. This tesseract however is some space stone and Loki used it to bring in the aliens. It’s some sort of infinity stone whatever that means. Howard Stark found the stone in the ocean, because a Stark is always gonna be the one to fuck the world up when they think they’re helping. Then he and someone else founded Project Pegasus-”
“What’s project Pegasus?”
“I don’t really know but I know it stands for potential energy group alternate sources,”
“Oh, so it’s Shield that’s over this… Tesseract?”
“Exactly!” I clapped and the papers with all the information I printed from the flash drive rustled underneath me.
“What are you going on about?” Carmen asked. “Like what’s the bigger picture?”
“That’s the thing! I don’t know, this is like so covered up and coded that I can’t figure it out with information that I have,” I turned towards her “But I will, and that’s where your help comes in,”
“Y/N, when’s the last time you slept?” She tilted her head like those dogs in Minecraft when you have food.
“Last night,” I waved her off.
I looked down at the information I was able to find out about Kingpin since he was mentioned in the video my mom made for me. Apparently she worked for him for a while. So did Felicia but all she’d ever tell me was “He was an ass he did give me a gift I’m grateful for though,”. He had affiliations with everyone.
From what Black Widow released out unto the world he had connections with a Neo Nazi group called HYDRA which brainwashed people from what’ve heard.
Before I’d just wanted to take down the Vulture out of pettiness if we’re being honest, but now. Oh now? I knew I’d have to.
Another paper I’d printed from Kingpin’s affiliations caught my eye.
“Hey Carmen,”
“Hm?”
“Ever been to Vegas?”

Hss CA - fanfic
Looking at the same sky - p.2
(Pairing = Skye x f!mc)
There was a discussion. Something about the griddle not earning enough money. Something about a better opportunity. Pros and cons laid out to help Bailey and Casey to understand the decision that their parents had come to. The voices all sounded like static, white noise; even when Casey had spoke up to stress the importance of their developing relationships and their extracurriculars.
At some point, in hopes of moving away from the heated discussion between her brother and her parents, Bailey found herself moving slowly towards the stairs that led to her bedroom. The bedroom door clicked softly behind her as the tears that pricked her eyes finally spilled over and ran hot down her cheeks. Silently she scanned her room, unsure of what to do. Rory's light was on, she could see it shining through on to the hardwood floor of her room. Pulling her phone from her pocket, remembering how filled with excitement she was the last time it was in her hand, she opened a chat with Rory. After typing and deleting a few different messages, she simply sent 'Hey'.
Rory text back almost instantly with a simple request, 'Window?'
Having done it many times before, Bailey's legs carried her thoughtlessly to the window. She opened it and waited a minute for Rory to arrive at hers.
"Hey Bailey..." Rory sighed with a contented smile. "...Why is your room so dark? I wouldn't have known you were home if I hadn't seen you out front."
"Were you looking out for me?" Bailey jested, earning her a full, embarrassed blush from Rory.
"No" she said, tucking her hair back. "I was just bored so I thought I'd people watch." She tucked her hair back again. Bailey had known her for long enough to know that it was a clear sign she was lying. "So, why the dark room?"
"I guess I forgot to turn on my light." It came out in a half hearted laugh.
"Oh yeah, I'm always forgetting to do that" Rory smirked.
"Really?"
"No!" She laughed. "Somethings on your mind, right?" Rory's look turned from amused to mildly concerned. Bailey went on to explain the bare facts that she had just learned. Rory was already asking a follow up question when she cut her off and told her that she left the discussion before she got the details.
"So..." Rory began, now sounding more filled with a sad kind of pity. "What are you going to tell Skye?"
The question hit Bailey harder than the news. Rory had always been the first person she could tell her problems to, but Skye, how could she possibly tell her that she wouldn't be around anymore. Long distance was the obvious option, but video calls, constant texts and even cute hand written sentiments wouldn't be able to make sure Skye feels safe and loved.
Bailey and Rory talked for a while longer. Bailey trying to keep the subjects light, battling with Rory asking more and more questions to try and make sense of the situation. As their conversation drew to a close, they said their 'goodbyes' and 'good nights' and came away from their windows with a promise to catch up tomorrow.
Bailey threw herself down on to her bed and stared at the ceiling, her phone growing warm in her hand as she thought about how to open up a conversation that would break her heart and the heart of the one person outside of her family that she truly cherishes. With a decent amount of willpower, she unlocked her phone and began typing.
---------
The Crandall's house was quiet as usual. Sometimes it sounded as though a war was brewing, but most of the time, each member of the family resigned themselves to their chosen rooms. Mrs. Crandall could be found in the (ironically named) family room. Mr. Crandall would be in his study doing who-knows-what. Brian would either be in his bedroom, or strutting around acting his usual arrogant self. Skye, as always, confined herself in her bedroom. Though it was far from her taste, the bedroom was a place that even her intrusive family understood was a place of solitude.
Skye sat at her desk, doodling tribal symbols emblazoned with skulls and low hanging wings, surrounded by roses on all sides that bore thorns to mark them as dangerous as much as they were beautiful. Lost in her own thoughts, pencil slowly stroking the paper in front of her, she almost jumped as her phone chimed. Unlike her girlfriend, Skye wasn't quite sentimental enough to assign ringtones to all of her friends, so she ignored the message to carry on as she was. As though the universe didn't want her to have any peace, her mother's voice carried through the almost bare halls of the house.
"Skye! Downstairs, please."
With a long, drawn out sigh she pushed her chair back from the desk, deliberately scraping it across the floor as she stood. She slowly walked down the marble stairs, her bare feet padding with each step until she reached the plush carpet of the family room. Her mother sat on the armchair nearest the bookcase, not that she ever bothered to open a book, as usual. Her eyes looked heavy, which lead Skye to guess that the glass of wine in her hand wasn't her first.
"Skye..." She began, slurring slightly. "...Your brother tells me he saw something outside."
"Wow" Skye gasped sarcastically, turning to her brother stood in the far doorway. "You noticed something outside? The lessons must really be paying off."
"Not now, Skye." Her mother groaned. "He says you were with that... Bailey child, again."
"Yes?"
"You told us you were going for a walk. Are we supposed to believe you simply happened upon her?"
"No. I went to meet her at work, and she walked me home. I walked there and back. Is that not a walk?"
Mrs. Crandall sighed loudly enough to turn Skye's stomach at the thought that they have the habit in common. It was clear to her already that they weren't Bailey's biggest fans. It had been made apparent with all of the slight jabs at the company Skye keeps, the ideas of this girl and her 'alternative lifestyle' affecting their darling daughter and of course, the fact that she was noticeably below their station.
"You know how we feel about you being friends with her, Skye."
"Well lucky for you we're not friends, she's my gir.." Before Skye could finish, her mother raised her hand in a familiar 'Stop' gesture.
"Enough of that, Skye. I have no idea what she or any of those degenerates in your theatre club have filled your head with; but you're not... that way."
"Who the hell are you to tell me..." Skye screeched. The bile of her stomach rising to meet her tongue while her blood reached a feverish temperature. She almost choked on her words, feeling hate reaching its way through her veins, ready to burst from her. Her balled fists unclenched and she took in a cool, calming breath, ready to say more, but thought better of it. She turned on her heel and quietly walked away with the image of Brian and her mother's smug faces burning in her mind. She passed her father's study on the way back to her room, glancing at the door.
'He heard us. I know he did.' She thought to herself, dismissing the idea that he would have been any help anyway. As the door to her room closed behind her, Skye let out a shaking breath. She looked around the room and started to list things she could hear, things she could smell, things she could see. A trick Bailey had taught her for when she feels overwhelmed. Among the things she listed was the blinking light on her phone that had been forgotten on her desk. The screen lit under her touch, showing her screensaver of herself pulling a sour face while Bailey, who took the picture, kissed her cheek. There were a few notifications, built up from her ignoring her phone while she drew, most of them dismissed straight away, except the one from her girlfriend.
'Can I call? We need to talk about something 🖤'

My Avengers Academy Chapter 1: An Old Fashioned Notion
Not everyone is created equal. There are people in this world that are born with privileges and advantages that put them ahead of everyone else. There are people that are born with nothing and must climb their way out of oppression. These lessons of privilege should be taught to children with care and respect. To help them understand. These lessons should not, however, be taught to children with violence.
Peter Parker learned this lesson at the age of five. He laid there motionless; eyes widened as he looked towards the sky. He had bruises on his arms and legs, dirt stained his cheeks, and his head was pounding with pain. All he could do now was crawl into a ball and cry his eyes out.
It was supposed to be a fun day for him; his kindergarten cancelled all classes due to a nearby villain attack which cut out all the power on that grid. A day off of school is supposed to be a fun time for children. It was supposed to be fun for Peter. It was, at least in the beginning.
He had a playdate with his best friend in the world, Eugene “Flash” Thompson. He was so excited when his aunt dropped him off at his house; he couldn’t wait to play hero. Their playdates consisted mostly of watching old footage of battles between heroes and villains, and any live fights happening on the news. Today, however, was different.
“Hey, Pete, wanna ditch this, and go to the playground? I’m getting kinda bored,” Flash said.
“Um, yeah! Let’s go tell your mom and-“
“Nah,” Flash said, “Let’s just go, we’ll be back before she knows anything.” This was unusual for Peter. Going to the park without any adult supervision? His Aunt May and Uncle Ben always told him to never go anywhere without an adult that he trusts. But, he trusts Flash. He wouldn’t let Peter get hurt right? Besides, Flash has this really cool quirk, if any bad people try to kidnap him, he’ll protect him.
Peter agreed, and off they went. Getting out of the house was easy since Flash’s mom was sleeping on the couch in the living room with some sort of bottle in her hand. This usually happened when Peter had a playdate at Flash’s home; his mom was asleep most of the time, letting them have free reign of the house. Whenever Peter asked why his mom sleeps so much, Flash would say, “She just works a lot, okay? Stop asking.”
The journey to the park, however, was difficult because they had to stay out of sight, so no adult would see them and call their parents, or aunt and uncle in Peter’s case. They ran from bush to bush, and jumped fences to get to their destination. Eventually, they came to the wall that separated the park from the playground. It loomed over the two kids, and it cast a great shadow over them. To Peter, it was the highest wall he’d ever seen.
Peter heard Flash chuckle. “This wall ain’t nothing to me.” Flash’s arms became covered in this black goop. The goop seemingly crawled up his arms and eventually to his hands, turning his small hands into big claws. Flash looked at Peter. “Lemme show you how a man climbs a wall.”
Flash stepped back five steps and then dashed towards the wall, jumped, and stuck to the wall, digging his claws into the concrete. Peter watched in awe as Flash effortlessly climbed up. Once Flash got to the top of the wall, he peered down and looked at Peter, flashing him a toothy grin.
“Well, come on!” he exclaimed.
Peter stared at the wall. Noticing it’s craggily state, how long has this wall been standing? Before he was born? Before Auntie and Uncle were born? Before quirks?
“What are ya waiting for?!” yelled Flash, “Just climb the stupid thing!”
Jolted out of his thoughtful daze, Peter looked for his path to climb up the wall.
“Come on, Peter!”
The more Flash shouted the more nervous he got. Finally, he found his path. Peter took five steps back and then sprinted towards the wall until-
“I AM IRON MAN AND IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO WAKE UP! I AM IRON MAN AND IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO WAKE UP!”
This phrase loudly repeated throughout Peter Parker’s bedroom, bouncing off the walls, and making his ear drums perform a drum solo. He let out a loud scream of confusion as he was rudely awakened by the pre-recorded message. He jolted from laying down comfortably to sitting up uncomfortably. Holding his head in discomfort, Peter groaned. “I hate that dream…” The alarm clock blared on his bedside table. Peter sighed as he clicked it off. It was a special alarm clock, a special edition Iron Man alarm clock, with a small figurine of the hero acting as the “turn off” button. Peter sighed once again and he flopped back on his bed. He took a moment to look around his room. He didn’t know why. It’s been the same for as long as he remembered. Plastered along the walls were memorabilia of his favorite heroes: Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, the Hulk, etc. Figurines of said heroes stood atop his shelves. His walls were a deep shade of blue. His bedsheets were red, but his blanket was Avengers-themed. He was fifteen-years-old, but his room was one of a twelve-year-old. Peter didn’t mind; he really liked heroes. He absentmindedly reached over to his bedside table, and grabbed his phone. The bright screen blinded him for a small moment. His eyes readjusted themselves, and he looked at his messages.
Wanda Maximoff :P (6:30 AM): Get out of bed sleepyhead. May made pancakes.
Pietro Maximoff (6:35 AM): Is my sister at your house? She’s not answering my texts.
Pietro Maximoff (6:36 AM): Never mind lol I took a quick run around town and saw her in your kitchen lol
She’s downstairs? Peter thought. It wasn’t unusual for Wanda to be over before school started, but sometimes Peter questioned if she ever ate breakfast at home. “Your Aunt’s cooking is just too good!” she’d say. He had his doubts, of course. She always said that Pietro was cranky in the morning, so maybe that’s why she spends her mornings here.
“Peter! Breakfast is almost ready!”
Peter groaned as he heard his Aunt’s voice calling for him. “I’ll be down in a second!” he shouted back.
“A second has passed!” he heard a shout from downstairs followed by a hearty laugh.
Oh, Ben, he thought. His Uncle really was a joker.
~A~
“How long have you been mastering the art of dad jokes, Mr. Parker?” Wanda asked inquisitively, “Because you need a lot more work.”
Mr. Parker lowered his newspaper, took off his reading glasses, and gave a thoughtful look. Mr. Parker was wearing what he always wore: an ugly red sweater with aged blue jeans. “It’s my look!” he’d always say whenever he was questioned about his choice of apparel. “Well let’s see… when Peter was born! His father hated whenever our dad joked with us, and I just knew that he wouldn’t do it for Peter. So I wasn’t going to let Peter live his life without the best form of humor.”
Wanda rolled her eyes. Highly subjective opinion he’s got there, she thought. She turned her gaze to Mrs. Parker who was just finishing cooking the last pancake. “Mrs. Parker, how do you live with this?”
“A strong will and wine, my dear,” she said, grabbing the plate of pancakes and bringing it to the table where Mr. Parker and Wanda sat, “A strong will and wine.” Mrs. Parker was also wearing what she normally wore. Underneath her cooking apron, was her usual yellow shirt and blue jeans. Unlike her husband, she knew fashion, which Wanda appreciated.
“Oh please,” Mr. Parker said, “You love it; you know you do.”
Mrs. Parker chuckled as she put down the plate on the table. “No dear, I love you, not your jokes.”
Wanda let out a small laugh. “See, she’s the funny one here.”
“No one here appreciates my stellar comedy,” lamented Mr. Parker.
“I do,” a fourth voice said. Wanda turned her head towards the stairs that led to the upper floor, only to see her best friend: Peter Parker. Peter looked like he crawled himself out of a grave. His eyes were droopy, heavy bags surrounding them. His skin was paler than normal and his hair was also more ruffled than normal as well.
“Ah, my hero,” joked Mr. Parker, “Jeez, son, you look like a zombie.”
“I always appreciate your jokes, Ben.” Even his voice was coarse.
Wanda eyed her best friend and gave a cocky grin. “Did you even shower? I can smell you from here.”
Wanda saw Peter roll his eyes at her. “Well, good morning to you too,” he said.
~A~
The ensuing breakfast was also per the usual for the Parker family. A lot of banter between Uncle Ben and Aunt May, but even more between Wanda and Peter. “Don’t pass out from being a geek when you meet Dr. Banner today.”
“And don’t try to pass out from boredom when he starts talking about the dangers of gamma radiation,” he retorted. However, Peter couldn’t deny his excitement. For the first field trip of the school year, his high school, Midtown High, was going to Avengers Tower to meet the heroes and watch a lecture from the Incredible Hulk himself, Bruce Banner, the fourth most popular hero in America. Eventually, the pair finished their breakfast.
“Thank you so much, Mrs. Parker! The food was great as always,” Wanda said. She always said this after having a delicious course of Aunt May’s cooking, which at this point was every other day or so.
“Oh you’re always welcome here, dear,” said Aunt May, “Now go, you two are going to miss the train.”
The two said their goodbyes to the married couple and off they went out the front door and onto the sidewalk, where an impatient Pietro waited.
“Took you two long enough,” he said while tapping his foot incessantly. “Mom and dad missed you at breakfast, dear sister,” he said in a mocking tone.
“Well get back to me when dad can actually cook something worth a damn, dear brother,” she fired back.
Pietro shook his head in disappointment, his silver hair flowing side to side as he did. “Hey Pete, ready for the field trip?” he asked excitedly, a complete change in his composure.
“Dude, you know it!” Peter exclaimed, high fiving Pietro.
Wanda groaned. “I’m surrounded by geeks.”
The walk to the train station was yet again, per the usual for the life of Peter Parker. Talking to Pietro about the villain fight that was on the news the night before while Wanda playfully mocks them.
“So the paper is due Friday right?” Wanda asked.
“Yep,” responded Peter.
“But does that mean 12:00 that morning or at 11:59 that night?” replied Pietro.
“No, it’s du-“
sudden explosion was heard. The trio stopped in their tracks and looked to where they heard the explosion. They see smoke in the direction they were looking.
“That’s the station…” Peter said.
“That explosion…” Pietro said.
Peter turned to Pietro. “Which means…”
Wanda eyes widened in horror. “Oh God, please no.”
Peter and Pietro's eyes lit up. “Villain attack!” they both exclaimed. Then the two ran off in the direction of the station.
“Hey, wait up you two!” Wanda exclaimed, running after the pair.
When Peter, Pietro, and Wanda got to the station it was a sight to behold. On top of the tracks was a villain they’d never seen before. He was gigantic in size and was entirely made out of sand. He stood on the overpass and roared out, daring any hero to attack.
“A new villain?” Peter asked with extreme curiosity.
“Yeah looks like it,” Pietro responded with eagerness, “He looks so cool!”
The villain reeled back his fist and punched a chunk out of a building. The crowd that was surrounding the scene screamed as debris threatened to crush them. That is until a blue and red blur flew in and destroyed all of the debris that dare harm the populace. It was the Avenger Captain Marvel, one of the strongest members of the team.
“Oh Cap’s here? This’ll be done in no time,” mused Pietro.
Peter swooned. “She’s so cool.”
Wanda huffed and crossed her arms, a small blush cascaded her cheeks. “She’s okay.”
The villain’s voice echoed and roared. “Get outta here pipsqueak, before I slaughter ya!”
Captain Marvel floated above the crowd, glowing with a golden light, her hair defying gravity as it floated upwards. Her very presence exerted the power she possessed. She looked back to the crowd. “Multiple Man, form a barrier!” she ordered.
“Alright people, don’t move past the clones y’hear?” multiple voices echoed.
The trio looked and saw the rescue hero Multiple Man! A new up and coming hero who could create a seemingly infinite amount of clones of himself. A sea of clones barred entrance to the battle. “They’re exact copies of him,” Peter whispered. “I gotta...” He reached into his book bag and took out a notebook and a cheap digital camera.
“And there he goes,” Wanda sighed.
He took his camera, aimed at one of the clones, and snapped a quick picture. Then, he opened his notebook. It had the number twelve written in sharpie pen on the cover. Peter opened it and flicked through the pages and pages of hero analysis until he found Multiple Man’s entry and feverishly wrote in his new finding.
“Oh, it warms my heart to see such an enthusiastic youth!” A laugh rang in Peter’s ears. He looked to his right and saw an older looking gentleman. Balding, but still has his white hair, a bushy mustache, and a cool pair of black sunglasses.
A blush danced onto Peter’s face. “Ah, well it’s just a hobby of mine.”
The elderly gentleman chuckled. “Oh don’t try to fool me, young man! I know exactly what you are! A fanboy!”
Peter’s face was bright red from embarrassment. “I, well I-“
“Hey there’s nothing wrong with being a fanboy!” Pietro exclaimed, standing up for his friend.
The gentleman continue to chuckle. “Not at all, young man! Why when I was your ag-“
The villain roared once again. “Don’t you come near me!”
Captain Marvel flexed out her arm and pointed at the villain. “Flint Marko, you are under arrest for illegal quirk usage and destruction of property! Anything you say can and will be us- gah!” The heroine was suddenly cut off by a gigantic fist made out of sand punching her into a nearby building.
“I ain’t going to jail!” the sand villain yelled as he reeled back his other giant fist, “And I’ll be sendin’ ya straight to hell!” The sand giant flung his fist into the building where Captain Marvel crashed into, but the attack was blocked by an invisible force field! Peter looked to the top of the building to his left, and standing there was the Invisible Woman, one third of the Future Foundation!
“Ah! It’s Susan Storm!” Peter heard Wanda squeal in delight. “She’s gonna kick this sand dude’s ass!”
“Nah, my money’s still on Cap,” replied Pietro, “She can probably bench press the continent if she wants to.”
Wanda groaned. “Not every problem can be solved by brute strength, dear brother,” she said in a mocking tone, “You need finesse and to think outside the box! Right, Pete?” She stood with her hands on her hips in a stance of confidence. However she got no response from her friend. “Pete?” When Wanda turned to face him, all she saw was him feverishly writing in his notebook. Deaf to the world around him.
“So Invisible Woman actually doesn’t disappear she just bends the light around her to make the illusion that she’s invisible so does that mean that she can’t see when she’s invisible or maybe the light is still hitting her eyes anyway so maybe she sees but you also have to consider…” Peter rambled on and on.
A moment of awkward silence fell upon Wanda, Pietro, and the gentleman as Peter muttered away. “Oh Pete.” Wanda sighed.
“Does your friend usually do this?” the gentleman asked.
Pietro scratched the back of his head in embarrassment. “Yeah, it’s hard for him to stop when he gets going.” Another crash was heard and the attention of the group was once again focused on the ensuing fight.
“You ready, Sue?!” yelled Captain Marvel as she flew upwards towards the sky.
“The barrier’s up, Carol; turn this villain into glass!” yelled the Invisible Woman back as she flexed her arms out.
The sand villain tried to reach for the flying superhero but found himself unable to move past the invisible barrier that blocked his path. “Wh-what the hell is this?!” he screamed in terror.
“This is the end of your villainy, Marko!” exclaimed Captain Marvel.
The crowd went wild, this was the public’s favorite part in villain fights: when the hero triumphs over the villain and saves the day. “Come on, ma’am! Show us a flashy finish!” the older gentleman exclaimed.
“I told you so,” Pietro said as he bumped Wanda’s arm with his elbow.
Wanda shot a dirty look at her brother. “Oh, shut up,” she said. She put her hand on Peter’s shoulder who was still writing in his notebook. “Peter, it’s about to finish. You’re gonna wanna see this.”
Peter’s consciousness came reeling back into reality as he saw Captain Marvel floating in the sky. Her golden aura intensified as her hair stood straight up. Peter internally squealed as he knew what was coming, he quickly aimed his camera at the hero. It was Captain Marvel’s signature move! The golden aura stopped being an aura and started to be the color of Captain Marvel’s skin as her body stored energy. Her quirk: Binary Engine, allows her to store energy inside of her and release it at her will. She yelled out a battle cry and flexed her arms forward. “Binary Ignition!” A beam of golden energy erupted from her fists. If one were to ask the crowd what occurred that day, they would say that they felt the Earth shake beneath them as they saw the furious fiery energy hurdle itself towards the giant sand villain. With a loud scream of pain, the sand villain took the blast in his giant sandy chest. The extreme heat from the energy started to solidify the sand that it hit.
“No!” the villain roared, “I-I can’t move!” With the invisible barrier now closed fully around the villain, the extreme heat from the binary blast went to work. The heat was trapped and had nowhere to go, just like the villain. The villain was quickly calcified in glass, unable to move. A statue to the victory of heroes, the sand villain was.
The crowd erupted in cheers and chants as Captain Marvel slowly descended back to the ground and the Invisible Woman followed suit. The heroes gave the all clear for the police to restrain the villain, a tall order given his size but the police always came prepared.
Peter, on the other hand, was feverishly writing in his notebook about the intricacies of what he saw of Captain Marvel’s signature move. How much heat it truly produced being the main point of intrigue for him. “So for sand to turn into glass the sand has to be exposed to a temperature of 3,090 degrees Fahrenheit or 1,700 degrees Celsius which means that Captain Marvel’s energy output is far greater than what I initially calculated for her maybe…”
“He really likes to write doesn’t he?” the gentleman asked.
Wanda sighed with a tinge of embarrassment. “Yeah, he really does,” she said. She then put on a big enthusiastic smile. “But, he’s going to be the best hero of all time. I just know it.”
“Wow, thanks, sis,” said Pietro.
The old man let out a light chuckle as he saw the two siblings bicker and Peter mutter and write in his notebook.
“... and you also have to consider the possibility that with enough stored power she can become a walking sun and that would be devastating for villains but maybe she can also solve any future energy crisis that the world will face and-“
“Hey, kid.” Peter felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to see the old man standing next to him. “You don’t let anybody tell you that you can’t be a hero, alright? If somebody doesn’t believe in you, prove them wrong. Think of heroism as the classic mask and spandex costumes, it doesn’t matter who’s behind the mask. Anybody can be a hero.”
Peter felt the warmth and kindness of the old man’s words. He flashed him a goofy grin. “Thank you, sir! I promise to become the world’s greatest hero.”
The old man returned with a big smile. “Excelsior, young man! Now go out there, and become the best hero that you can be!”
The trio thanked the gentleman for his time and walked up to the train platform as the police gave the all clear to enter the station. They got on their train and sat down. Peter glanced out the window and a small smile formed on his face. Across the river he saw the apple of his eye. Adorned with a stylistic “A” on its face, stood Avengers Tower, HQ of the Mighty Avengers, the most popular hero agency in the world. While Avengers Tower was the HQ for the agency, it was also a school, Avengers Academy, where teenagers learn to become heroes. The school only taught from sophomore year to senior year of high school. Apparently because there wasn’t enough material for a full four years of hero education. “Hey, guys?” Peter called out to his friends.
Pietro and Wanda snapped out of their individual dazes from the painfully normal train ride and turned to their friend, his face plastered with an even bigger smile. “What’s up, man?” Pietro asked.
“Let’s apply to Avengers Academy,” Peter said. “Let’s be Avengers.”
Wanda’s face grew a soft smile. “Peter, you always say that,” she pointed out, “We’ve been wanting to be Avengers since we were kids!’”
“I think he just forgets that we made that pact years ago,” said Pietro, laughing as he did.
Peter turned to his left to face him. “No, I didn’t forget! I just want to make sure,” he said with a hint of anxiety in his voice. Peter’s face went from cheerful to solemn. This usually happened to him after being excited about heroes and his dream to be one. Almost as if somebody completely different swapped places with him. He would go from raving about heroes and claiming he was going to be an Avenger one day one second, and then the next second he would become eerily quiet. His eyes would darken with sadness. His whole demeanor would shift. He became reclusive and antisocial. In his head he thought to himself,
They’ll be the ones going to AA… not me. There aren’t any quirkless heroes in the first place, why would I be the exception?
Wanda noticed the drastic change in him. “Hey, hey, hey look at me,” she urged him. Peter turned to look at Wanda, and felt her hand on his shoulder. Her gaze met his. “You are going to be the best hero ever, okay? It doesn’t matter, okay? You’re already my hero.” She pointed to the red bandanna wrapped around her head as she said this. As Peter glanced at the accessory, he noticed how it wrapped down her cheek, under her chin, and was tied at the top of her head in a nice bow. Peter knew what she meant.
It’s been five years and she still remembers. To him, helping her up and tying his bandana around her head to keep her jaw in place was just the normal thing to do when someone trips and falls on their chin in Physical Education class.
He shot her a small, but genuine smile and said, “Okay.” Wanda shot a big smile back at him. As she did this his stomach became infested with butterflies and his face felt like it was lit aflame. He swore that he heard Pietro behind him groan and mutter, “Jeez, get a room.”
After yet another painfully average walk, they finally made it to their destination: Midtown High. Midtown High was just another average year 9-12 public high school located in Forest Hills, New York. Moderate in size, but gigantic in population. The school had trouble with too many students and not enough teachers to teach them. Cramped classrooms didn’t look good in the paper and it needed to be fixed. So to combat overpopulation and to promote transferring to other schools, there is a field trip to Avengers Tower for the freshman. If you want to tell kids to get out of your school, might as well tell them to be superheroes.
Unfortunately for Peter, the trio had to part ways for the time being since they all had separate homeroom classes. Peter sat in his classroom, and his gaze wandered around, looking at the 4x4 room that confined him. 25 desks filled the room in a semi-orderly fashion, Peter sitting near the back, which was unusual for him considering how studious he was. The floor was stained with age, under the coat of yellow was once a beautiful marble floor. The blackboard could never be truly cleaned as there were always remnants of past classes leaving their chalk footprint. Peter sighed and took a glance at the clock at the front of the class, however, he couldn’t make out the time with his bare eyes. He sighed once again, reached into his bag, and took out a container. He opened them and groaned as he was reminded that his glasses were ugly. Bright red covered the frame and the circular lenses felt as if they were half the size of his head. He put on his glasses, and the world suddenly became much clearer. He glanced at the clock again and saw it say it was 8:00 AM, right on the dot.
He groaned and let gravity claim his head. It made a nice and loud “bump” as it hit the desk. Peter knew what was coming. He counted down from fifty. He always comes in at 8:01 AM. Throughout the years of being bullied, Peter picked up a thing or two about personal quirks. At exactly 8:01 AM, he walked through the classroom door. His black hair stood in a spiky fashion, he wore a black muscle shirt, and baggy dark blue jeans. He was laughing as he entered the classroom, as if someone had told him a hilarious joke. Peter quickly stood up a book on his desk and opened it, creating a makeshift barrier between himself and the rest of the world. He fumbled with his glasses as he tried so desperately to put them back into their case. He lowered his head, below the book barrier. He didn’t want him to ruin today. It was supposed to be a happy day. He was going to Avengers Tower, he was going to see his heroes!
The world went silent and all Peter could hear was the sound of shoes hitting the floor, and it was getting closer. Peter silently whimpered. Why did he have to come after him today? Wasn’t he tired of this? Making his life hell? The footsteps stopped right next to him.
Oh no.
Pain was all Peter felt as his hair was being pulled back, forcing him to sit up straight. He felt every single strand of hair being unsuccessfully pulled from his scalp. He reluctantly opened his eyes, he had to face him now. All Peter saw was the black-haired kid smiling at him with a devious toothy smile.
“What do you want today, Flash?” Peter groaned, “Can you please let go of my hair?” Peter struggled as he grabbed the hand that had a fist full of his hair.
Flash gave a hearty laugh. “Aww, is Puny Parker all alone today? Is the quirkless wannabe sad that he can’t have his friends save him?”
He hated when Flash said that. It just reminded Peter of his true nature, that he was just normal. He doesn’t have the X-gene, he doesn’t have a quirk, he isn’t a mutant, he’s just human. Peter focused all of his might into digging his nails into Flash’s hand to make him let go. Suddenly, as he did that, Peter felt a gooey and slippery substance cover Flash’s hand, Peter squeezed but Flash didn’t let go. He only laughed.
“Oh Parker, did you piss off Venom?” he asked in a mocking tone. “Oh, is that right?” Flash said to no one in particular. Peter continued to thrash in pain as Flash kept his vice grip on his scalp. He felt like his hair was going to be pulled out, and his brain right with it. “Parker,” Flash said, his voice deepened, “Did you try to hurt me?” At this point, his voice became deep and twisted, almost demonic, as if two people were speaking in unison.
Peter grunted as he continued to struggle. “Yeah, so what? Let me go, damn it!” He glanced up at Flash and saw that his neck and a portion of his face were covered in black goop. Peter’s gaze then went to Flash’s mouth, he was baring his teeth, but they were all razor sharp. Oh God, Peter thought.
He saw this before. This black goop. Flash pulled Peter closer to his face. He could practically smell him failing to brush his teeth properly that morning. “That wasn’t very smart of you, Parker,” Flash said.
“Christ, Flash! Just leave me alone!” Peter exclaimed. Peter then curled his free hand into a fist and swung it at Flash. Momentum was stopped as Peter’s arm was caught, not by Flash’s arm, but a mouth, a mouth with sharp teeth. It wasn’t Flash’s mouth, but it was the black goop’s. It was a macabre sight to say the least. The mouth shot itself from Flash’s abdomen and latched on to Peter’s fist. Peter didn’t feel any pain, however, but he did feel the sharp teeth prick his wrist as it held it in place.
“Oh, Venom. You always know how to make me proud,” Flash said with a small chuckle. “Oh, that’s right! I didn’t feed you today, did I?” Peter’s eyes widened in horror. Flash gave a sinister smile. “Go wild.”
Peter shut his eyes as the word went into slow motion. Was Flash serious?! Was he going to let Venom devour his hand?! He could get suspended! Expelled even! He’d be charged with assault and battery and be tried as an adult! This is what perplexed Peter about Flash, he had great grades, was the school’s star quarterback, but he always did reckless activities that could have the potential of ruining his life. Even from a young age he was like this. Peter felt the terrifying mouth start to close on his fist, it was slow as if it was taunting him. As if it was letting his host enjoy the scene play out in front of him. He snapped back in reality, his gaze darted across the room, looking for someone, anyone to help him. His heart sunk as he saw the cruel reality; others had arrived by that time and they were all in their own groups, their own cliques, and they were watching the events unfold. They all just intently stared at the scene. No one dared make a move. Would anyone stand up and intervene? Peter closed his eyes, and braced for the pain that was to come.
It happened. Peter felt the teeth rip and tear into his skin. He tried letting out a scream but more black goop shot out of Flash’s chest and onto his mouth, which muffled Peter’s scream for help. The mouth kept slowly clamping down, it wasn’t long until it was going to hit Peter’s bone. Peter started to hyperventilate. His chest rose and fell. Rose and fell. Over and over again. As he saw what was happening to his hand his mind raced. Why him? Why today? Today was supposed to be a good day. Why? Why? Why? Peter felt the sharp teeth graze the top of his carpal bone. He closed his eyes and whimpered.
“That’s enough!” A voice pierced the unsettling air like a bullet.
Peter glanced towards where the voice was shouted from, and there he saw Wanda and Pietro. Pietro had his hand on Flash’s shoulder, grasping it with an iron grip, and Wanda stood near Peter, grabbing his arm and pulling it out of the jaws of the beast. Peter looked at her eyes, her pupils were glowing a bright red. She looked at the lacerations on his wrist with a deep and sad look. She took in a deep breath and put her free hand over the wounds, and then the magic started. Red energy started to flow out of her hand and into Peter’s wounds. When the red energy entered the wounds, Peter felt an extreme warmth run up his arm. It felt odd, but it wasn’t strange to him; he had felt this many times before. When Wanda first got her quirk five years ago, she’d been the person to heal Peter’s scars and bruises he sustained from his run-ins with Flash. The reason why Uncle Ben and Aunt May didn’t know how bad Peter really had it was thanks to Wanda’s quirk. He looked down in embarrassment, he could already tell that she was worried about him. The day had just started and Peter was already hurt.
“You got a death wish, Maximoff?” Flash growled.
“Leave him alone, Thompson,” Pietro demanded. Peter looked at the two feuding teens. To him, it was as if two forces of nature collided. Pietro, a benevolent mountain standing tall no matter the condition, and Flash, a ravaging tornado destroying everything in its path. Two titans facing off against each other, and it’s all because of a quirkless boy.
Flash scoffed and all of the black goop retreated back into his body, out of sight. He looked directly into Peter’s eyes. “You’re lucky your body guards came to rescue you, wallcrawler,” he said. He then went and sat in his seat at the other side of the room.
“Alright kids,” Peter’s teacher, Mr. Harrington said, “As you all know, today is the field trip to Avengers Tower.” Mr. Harrington was always an odd fellow, even in this world of superpowers. He was a tall lanky man, with brown hair and a bushy beard and moustache. Just by looking at him you can tell that he was a nerd in his youth. He wore brown suits to class, always had a neat tie on, and wore black dress pants. On his desk one could find memorabilia of the wonderful world of science. Globes, a model of the solar system, a Newton’s cradle, a map of the periodic table, etc. Peter liked Mr. Harrington; the appreciated his love of science, and even though Mr. Harrington gave the aura of a man who has been punched in the face one-too-many times, Peter related hard.
“Just so you all know, two students from different classes have requested to join ours for today.” Peter then took a glance at Pietro and Wanda who were sitting to the left and right of him respectively. As Peter looked at her, Wanda proudly showed him a small doodle of Flash being punched in the face by the Hulk. Peter smiled at the rough sketch. No matter how bad he felt, she could always make him laugh.
Peter’s gaze trailed back to his notebook in front of him. This was Peter’s Quirk Analysis book. It was open. The name Wanda Maximoff was written in the title section with neat handwriting. A picture of her was clipped on by a paper clip. Peter smiled at the photo he had taken last summer when they visited the planetarium. Her pose was odd, but unique. She had her fingertips touch one another, her legs spread and bent, her torso bent forward, and a big toothy smile plastered on her face as if she was saying, “Come at me, ya scoundrels!” She stood in front of a model of the planet Saturn. A small grin created itself on Peter’s face; that was a fun time for him.
Beside her picture were the words, “Quirk: Hex,” and below that were notes. Peter read these notes every so often. They were notes on Wanda’s Quirk. He came up with the name himself after seeing it in action so many times. Hex was one mystery of a power as it just showed up one day. For years people thought that Wanda was quirkless, until one day when she saved Peter from being Flash’s punching bag for the day. The memory flew through Peter’s mind like a bird through the sky. He remembered being pinned up to a tree, gazing into Flash’s eyes, which were filled with murderous intent. The next thing he remembered was Flash being lifted in the air by a mysterious red glow, and then seeing Wanda glowing with that same redness. This didn’t stop the bullying for her, however. Before she was being bullied for being a foreign quirkless girl, now she was being bullied for being a foriegn freak who got her quirk late.
Peter had spent hours studying Wanda’s quirk. There was one conclusion that he came about, Hex was a sort of probability manipulation, similar to Dr. Strange’s quirk: Mystic Arts. Her power could bend the fabric of probability in her favor. He theorized she can probably cause a gun to backfire just by looking at it, but he’d rather not test it. She can also shoot out red energy bolts as projectiles, they don’t hurt much, but it still was a force of concussive energy. Her quirk also allowed her to “heal” people, however, this was contested by Peter. The only thing she had done to heal him was close his wounds; he still felt sore and achy afterwards. Maybe since she doesn’t know the intricate details of the human body, she doesn’t know how to heal someone fully, or maybe she was just scared of screwing it up. In the end, Hex was an amazing quirk in Peter’s eyes. He couldn’t wait to see her become a hero one day.
He turned the page and came across Pietro’s entry. His picture was a one-in-a-million shot that Peter took at one of Pietro’s soccer games during Physical Education class. Pietro’s pose was simply art, his left leg outstretched after kicking the ball, his right arm crossing his body as his left arm is outstretched, keeping him balanced, and all the while a big goofy smile that screamed, “Yeah, I’m the best!” Peter remembered how much he and Wanda were cheering for him that day. In the end, Pietro’s team won and got bragging rights for a whole year.
Like Wanda’s entry, next to Pietro’s picture was the name of his quirk: Superspeed. It was fairly self explanatory, Pietro’s quirk allowed him to move at superhuman levels. He could outrun any car, train, plane… Well, maybe not a plane, Peter thought to himself. However, his quirk also granted him enhanced metabolism. Pietro was always fit, any scrape or bruise would be gone within minutes, and he had to eat a lot to keep up. Pietro always wanted to be a hero, and his quirk locked in his future to be one of the greatest heroes of all time.
Peter's smile turned into a frown as he turned to the next page. The name in the title box was Eugene “Flash” Thompson, and below that were the words “Quirk: Symbiote.” Flash’s quirk was the scariest of them all, it was a living organism that was bonded to Flash’s body. Its base form was a black goop that would cover Flash if it felt like it or Flash was being threatened. In reality, the symbiote was always on Flash. It was Flash, and Flash was it. It also gave itself a name: Venom. Venom can form any weapon from itself, be an impenetrable shield for Flash, and can enhance Flash’s strength fivefold. Flash and Venom were one and the same, they talked to each other, and they looked out for each other. Sometimes Peter would see Flash mumbling to himself, when in actuality he was having a conversation with Venom.
However, Flash wasn’t the only person in the world with a symbiote. Symbiotes were a quirk that arrived late to the scene as they’ve only been around for the past 80 years or so. Nobody knew where the symbiote quirk came from, and some even theorized they were a failed experiment caused by the Weapon program that was never properly disposed of. Unfortunately for people with symbiotes, there was a dangerous stereotype connected to them: cannibalism. It’s no secret that people with symbiotes need to have a larger intake of food since they’re effectively eating for two, so naturally rumors started to spread about people with the symbiote quirk. This stereotype was derived from one entity, a villain named Carnage.
The only symbiote that was able to leave its host and live on its own was one of the most dangerous villains alive. Its original host was a serial killer called Cleetus Cassidy, a cannibal with over 30 confirmed murders, most of them women and children. Cassidy was as messed up as a human could get. He truly believed that human life was meaningless, and he was doing his victims a favor by murdering them. Cleetus Cassidy’s religion was murder and cannibalism, and the symbiote believed as well. Eventually, the symbiote grew tired of Cassidy, and murdered him. Police found the gruesome corpse of Cassidy strung about the apartment, but Carnage was nowhere in sight. It escaped and bonded with a new host; It would continue this cycle for the next 26 years.
“Hey, uh, Pete?”
A voice pulled Peter out of his day dreaming, he looked around the room to see all the desks empty and Wanda and Pietro at the doorway of the classroom. Peter’s face turned red in embarrassment.
“Oh, sorry!” he exclaimed as he gathered his belongings and joined the duo.
At 200 Park Ave. in New York City sits a skyscraper unlike any other. It was a business center, R&D center, a laboratory, a Hero HQ, and an academy for young heroes-in-training. Adorned with a stylized “A”, Avengers Tower stands as a beacon of heroism. Peter Parker muttered these words to himself as he found himself standing outside the front door. He had so many questions to ask, but one stood out amongst all the others. A question he’s had since he could talk. A question on that day he would finally have answered.
As he stood in front of the building in a daze, Wanda and Pietro stood by his side, they both gave him a big smile. “Avengers Assemble?” Wanda asked them.
Pietro nodded. Peter looked Wanda in the eyes, and smiled as well. “Avengers Assemble.”
~A~
“Boss, there’s an emergency at Central Park. Reports say that Carnage has been spotted and is on the run.”
“Any heroes on patrol near there?”
“Negative, boss.”
“What about Carol?”
“Captain Marvel is currently with the Invisible Woman, they’re at the Raft making sure the villain they captured earlier is in proper custody.”
“... So you’re saying that I-“
“Boss, get off your ass and be a hero.”
“I don’t remember programming you with a potty mouth, Friday.”
“And I don’t remember asking for your opinion. The suit is at 100%.”
“How long will the charge last this time?”
“About two and a half hours, boss.”
“Heh, plenty of time.”
The shutters to the darkened room opened, revealing the city down below. A man clad in red and yellow armor walks out onto a balcony.
“Time to be Iron Man.”
