Me, a fool: I think it would be awesome for Reader to pick Druid! It’s my favorite class, and I can ask my old campaign buddies to help explain what’s happening in my insert for those readers who aren’t D&D savvy 🥰 this is going to be a great Eddie x reader!
Advanced Dungeons and Dragons (1E): *Exists*
Me, a fool and jester: … I suddenly understand why my friends didn’t have any useful advice for a 1E Druid build and spent the entire conversation arguing about which edition was better.
#fuck you first edition#what the fuck is this bullshit#I’ve only ever played fifth edition and I suddenly see why it’s basically anything goes#in comparison to fucking 1E#what the fuck do you mean it’s a SUBCLASS#what the fuck do you mean I need a club to cast shillelagh?!#WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN MY DRUID SPELLS CANCEL OUT THE CLERIC SPELLS#fuck that#I’d tank as a barbarian#advanced dungeons and dragons can eat my whole ass#stranger things#admin speaks#eddie munson x reader#Hellfire Club

If they do a part 2 of the VM Vs. MN I still would put my money on the MN.
Grog is great at doing damage, but, mental stats are rather lacking and either a Polymorph/Banishment from Caleb or Hypnotic Pattern/Phantasmal Force from Veth (who I assume will be the swing with Tary for the other side) and you can eliminate him as an immediate problem.
Druid's are pretty broken, but if Keyleth has to off-spec heal it limits her ability to really make use of her best ability (can't cast while wildshaped at lvl 15, and she only has two charges so she can have two regular beasts or one Elemental), and AOE damage is good, but Caleb has Counterspell.
Cad has both Path To The Grave for extra damage for the Nein and Sentinel At Death's Door to cancel crits against them, plus just being a very good healy boi to pump life back into Caleb, Grave Cleric's also do max healing if the person they're healing is unconscious for extra 'fuck you' points.
Ranger's are a great flavor/rp class, but don't have the same power to them either melee/ranged or spell wise, so Vex isn't going to be as much as a problem as the other two, that said she does have Trinket for some extra damage dealing/tanking, and Laura is very clever.
The real problem for VM is going to be Yasha. Level 15 Barbarian's have Relentless Rage which means her Rage ends when she wants it to, and Zealot Barbarian's have Rage Beyond Death so as long as she's raging hp/dying aren't really a problem for her, just short of magically knocking her unconscious (which I don't think VM has access to) she can continue to swing away indefinitely. She also has vertical movement with her wings, Sentinel for CC, and for one round can give her allies advantage on attacks and saving throws.
Caleb is a glass canon, but he has a free Polymorph for extra HP, can Counterspell Keyleth indiscriminately, and is great for buffs/AOE, if he can stay out of range/LoS he can pick away at VM without putting himself in danger.
Veth/Tary is going to be interesting, if MN can get Veth on the field and keep her there, they've got good burst damage with Sneak Attack, and CC with Hypnotic Pattern and Phantasmal Force. I don't know enough about Tary's build to know exactly what he brings to the table so that'll be interesting to watch.
Overall, unless VM can take Caleb and Cad out in the first round I thing MN has it won.
