worked on this one for a while (◞‿◟) i believe this is my first time drawing anything season two related ever since 2017.

All was chaos. Tumbling walls and screams of terror----fire and blood and death. It permeated the air, sunk into memory to never be forgotten, and for the first time it made sense why so many had yet to fully heal from the falls of other elven realms from the past. It would be impossible to forget the lives so cruelly snuffed out, familiar faces strewn about the street, yet somehow they were the lucky ones she unit.

Now, as rough hands dragged her to join those prisoners who had yet to be executed, Celebrían could not help but hope her death would be a swift one. Better that than the nightmares she had heard of captives, tortured and assaulted, she would rather find a way to end up on the other side of a blade than endure that. She did not think she had the strength. But she remained as steadfast as she could, a small elfling held within her grasp which wept in fear. For her, Celebrían would be strong. She had to be.

But her numb thoughts were intruded upon by the sight of a beloved figure, and her heart dropped to her feet. There was Elrond, himself a captive, standing beside the High King. She yearned to go to him, to take comfort in arms she was sure would wrap around her. Her eyes caught his, and her body moved without her bidding toward him---- but only a step and she was roughly yanked back, from his eyes which she loved so dearly to the world which she stood in. Cruel hands pulled her hair, and she cried out in pain, stumbling back.

Then all happened at once, the child cried out and tried to run, and Celebrían was released, fearful for her life, which caused for her to try and seize the elfling before the orcs got to her. Her arms wrapped around the babe, expecting pain as she shielded the child with her body. Sword or arrow this would be her end--

THUD! she was shoved to the ground with the child still in her arms, and with mind spinning she saw Elrond standing where she'd stood, arrow bolts whizzing past him to clatter somwhere in the distance. Her heart squeezed as terror dropped, replaced by surprise, amazed he'd been able to cross the distance to her. It would likely not end well, she thought, should she close the final distance between them to embrace him. But she tried to Express her gratitude in her eyes, as she gathered herself and the elfling up and whispered her thanks in elvish.

"Hannon le, meleth nin. Hannon le."
