My people I don’t even know how to tell you people this. I am still in shock I am still covered in blood. I and my friend were violently arrested by French police, we were detained for 3 days in the worst jail, solitary confinement, no food, no water, jus the smell of piss, me and my friend started our periods and were drenched in our own blood. They refused us enough sanitary products. The Police accused us of being freedom fighters for recording undercover police as they pressed on the neck of a black man. They had a blue lives matter flag in their office. They profiled us and claimed we were hoodlums because of our locs. They told us we are no one. We are not hero’s. This is not America. They brutalized us on the streets. Kicked my friend in the mouth, kicked me in the stomach… I do not know how I did not lose my mind, I spoke and sang to my ancestors, this is what we have long been fighting against

hi! what are your favorites french speaking authors? love your writing btw its very vivid!
Paul Preciado and Virginie Despentes bc no one does it quite like them. More recently Phoebe Hadjimarkos Clarke, and ofc at the beginning it was all about Françoise Sagan. Now idk i read a lot of translations. Audimat (french publishing) is my go to. I also need recommendations tbh

Put language on sensation & pleasure. Carve out. Trance, BPM, sound, sensation. It sustains me. A good row of good free party. Need to dance/get free again. I can't stay too long in this world, cramped, security, paying heavy for each and every misstep. A-Nervous, cold, belong to that other world. In my good step while the rhythm change and I adapt. Still the same ground I walk on. Same rotation. I do best : new relation, new vision of an intricate system, new rhythm, new connections, new substances, habits, neuronal pathways. I don't always stay the same. I adapt to change because death is my only sure faith, and I love it. And Its change that adapts to me, the material world lags but who said anything about productivity and profit. I definitely drift (March into it head first and hit something hard.) I rush i stream. I get good at finding my right pace : My right and responsibility as an animal. I loop back and forth at this POINT in time (so used to being used but im finding out) using my subtle experience as a weapon. Heart-rate success, im get too good at being new which means im always more naive more curious but How you get unplayable. Its not a fucking sin though. And you can be sure the cat brings it back. Im very serious but it comes through as... something else. I notice guilt. Im not "real enough", I don't know "shit" : yes, and I can know me. Know compassion, dedication, love, hurt, pain, liberation. Im not "professional" but you can tell im a pro. Unconventional. Too young. Way 2 humble. Easily excitable. I dont care for f*** I like a right attentive motion. A blank stare, a love-poem in the eyes

You seem french or at least french speaking, yet you mostly write in english. Why ?
I'm curious about it because I struggle with that question, writing in french feels uncomfortable and phony, while writing in english feels more intimate but also foreign, and I was wondering if you gave any thought to that aspect.
If I'm mistaken about your language : sorry, please disregard.
In any case, have a nice day.
Cool question ! When i started writing i had no idea how to use the I in french since, as you know, the educational system deters students from using it. English is my second language and i found it more sensual and the vocabulary for emotions easily accessible. Its a simple language in terms of expression of self. Foreign yes, but the distance can be useful too. I started writing in french a bit later after discovering certain writers i wanted to emulate. Both are effective and it mostly depends on what im reading. Also i agree french is a phony ass language before you break it open. Also a lot of blogs i follow on tumblr are in english so there’s that too. Hope that helps
