I will say I’ve seen very concrete evidence that Somebody who started claiming to be Jewish (apparently after being accused of antisemitism prior) is Not Jewish. But the information, while it checks out, would basically require doxxing a trans person for being a piece of shit online (but not an actively dangerous pos). The original source of the information also had obviously dubious motives.

I absolutely don’t believe in jeopardizing anyone’s physical safety over anything that doesn’t pose an immediate risk to another’s individual physical safety.

So I will continue to sit on the information, smirk a lil to myself when i see them, and keep my mouth shut.

I have scheduled this post a few days ahead of seeing them to obscure who it is more.

What if getting to know someone online also meant missing out on meeting them offline? If the relationship online doesn't work out, it certainly won't happen offline. I wonder how many opportunities to experience meaningful connections we are missing with this. At the same time that social media apparently brings us closer, it can also draw us apart.
