[W.I.T.N.E.S.S]

Beginning at age 11, Yuno has entered the practice of writing and publishing short stories aside from his occupation in man service. While these tales were rather harmless and light in the young eyes of an 11 year old, he possessed the unnatural skills of plot devices and numerous details. Both his own family and locals of Fukuoka taken interest, noting him to be a “natural” for storytelling at a very young age 16 years ago… In present day outside of the DRB, he decided to slowly return to the drawing board. Days later, a new collection in his writing “[W.I.T.N.E.S.S]” was quickly launched. During its release, it easily debuted with was known to the press as “The Kamora Files.” Despite originally only having one story, [W.I.T.N.E.S.S] is presumed to have more novels releasing. The main premise surrounds topics inside the Division Rap Battle, its contestants, Chuohku or similar plots narrated by Yuno himself. What could these stories unfold? The night sky giving off an adrenaline rush, the announcer stepped up to the mic with the beginning of the battle.] Announcer: Ladies and gentleman! We have an uplifting night for all of you as this battle will decide one of Fukuoka Divisions final teams! Catching a bus to Tokyo, they planned to head to Shinjuku as part of their long trek to Fukuoka.] Yuno: How long are we going to be until we get home? Eko: Probably a week at most. Mai: Atleast we all got out of their alive… Yuno: Remind me to leave a one star review. Death By Microphone - Volume 3 — Chuohku Ward, Cell 255 — [Eko, in fetal position, was trying to pass the eternal time as it slowly ticked by. However, it appeared something else beat him to it.] [Ichijuku Kadenokoji, flanked by a few Chuohku personnel…] Ichijuku: Hold him down, make sure he doesn’t try anything… [Eko was alarmed, trying to break from the officers grasp as he thrashed and grunted. He didn’t feel like giving up, but what else was he supposed to do about it? As the mic’s came close to his head, his sensory neurons were rapidly wearing down.] Eko: —Shriek— You and your damned microphones!! 5 — Chuohku Closed — Chuohku Ward, Cell 510 — [Yuno woken up in a cold sweat. He hadn’t exactly had the best of days when it came to rest, being awoken from a loud scream that pierced his ears, recognizing it as Eko’s own voice.] [Hearing pairs of hushed footsteps become quieter, he was face to face with Eko and Mai a minute later, his cell door wide open…] Mai: We’re getting out of here, Onii-san’s got a plan~…! [Yuno nodded dazed, proceeding to run along with them down Chuohku’s halls and around tons of corners. Despite wanting to ask about Eko’s situation, he knew that both of them had something important to notify him with.] Yuno: Promise me you’ll both explain yourselves? Mai: Of course we will, Yuno-chin. Eko: I’m sorry I told you this early… Yuno: Do not be sorry. If anything, I’d like to know what they had done to you that caused you to scream like that… [Eko swiped a miniature keycard as all 3 of them ran inside while the breached doors slammed behind them, revealing Chuohku’s recognizable insignia on the outside…] — Chuohku Ward, Breach Facility — [Sitting in a triangle formation, Yuno was relaxed. He hadn’t seen much of his teammates aside from test days, so it was uplifting to finally be face to face with them outside of those periods as he exhaled deeply.] Yuno: Alright…Tell me everything. [Eko and Mai’s eyes lit up, setting their mic’s in front of them as they exchanged a shared glance of satisfaction.] Eko/Mai: We’re invincible with these mic’s, Yuno/Yuno-chin…! 6 — The Words Inside — Chuohku Ward, Breach Facility — Yuno: Invincible with our mic’s? What do you mean by that…? [He brought out his own microphone, the 3 mic’s forming a similar triangle formation to their already seated positions. A minute later, Eko had picked his up and stood confidentially tall — despite being the shortest — with mic in hand.] Eko: A Hypnosis Mic manipulator develops an ability titled a “Rap Ability” when using their mic for a long time…So why don’t I show you? [Eko’s mic had transformed, revealing a grey/electric blue MP3 player where the original microphone once was. Not only that, a blue stage speaker with Chuohku security camera’s also appeared behind him, including a silhouette of himself…] Yuno: Before we get into this…What did they do to you, Eko? Eko: —Pause— I think my nervous system is damaged… [Yuno gasped.] Eko: And now I’m working for Chuohku… [Without any warnings, Yuno embraced Eko, finally letting out a held in sob as he held the delicate idol in his comforting arms…] — Chuohku Ward, Breach Facility — Yuno: When we get out of here, I’m finding the nearest hospital in Fukuoka. Is it severe…? Eko: My senses are fine, it’s just a large tingling sensation… Yuno: Promise me you’ll let the doctors take extra care of you? I lost my father…I don’t want to lose you… Eko: That’s a promise I won’t forget. Yuno: Okay. —Calming Breath— Show me how we can be invincible, together!

Death By Microphone - Volume 2 — Chuohku Ward, District 7 — [Down another endless hall, Traffic Light was lead to District 7. A few other Chuohku personnel were present, eyeing the team with both confused and suspicious expressions. Before anything could get out of hand, Otome raised a hand for silence.] Otome: These are the members of Traffic Light, who are now the official wielders of the 1st Hypnosis Microphones. They are to be treated with respect and dignity, for Chuohku will be enhanced by their achievements… [Following Otome’s exit, Yuno’s mind was left racing. Wielders? For the real Hypnosis Microphone!?][He would be thinking of him and his teammates as experiments, but was it possible they could bring change to the world?] Yuno: I don’t know how to exactly process this…Though I’ll still give everything I have! 3 — The Test Begins! — District 7, Testing Facility — [Eko, Mai and Yuno were sent into the testing facility, a light grey room appearing as a miniature coliseum as they stepped inside. Not only that, Ichijuku Kadenokoji, Deputy Prime Minister, was tasked with observing them.] Ichijuku: I’m not sugarcoating my opinion unlike Prime Minister Totohen, don’t expect this to just be light…Especially for you 2 men. [Grabbing their mic’s, all of them faced Ichijuku rebelliously. While Mai was smiling, Eko and Yuno had slight glares on their faces.] Ichijuku: Well? Let’s see what you amateurs can do, or am I mistaken…? [Mai and Yuno faced Eko, nodding for him to take the lead.] Eko: So we just rap into these things? —Sigh— Here goes nothing… [Eko-] I rule over this division Constructing my own visions All is left but perfection This is my standing position! —BOOM! WOOSH!— [As Eko’s verse played out, Mai and Yuno were almost knocked off their feet. Ichijuku was mildly impressed as Eko and Yuno turned to Mai.] Mai: Let’s see what a true “woman” looks like…! [Mai-] Defy me? I’ll show no mercy (Mercy!) Just bow down, baby, bow down (Down!) —BOOM! WOOSH!— [As Mai’s verse played out, both Eko and Yuno were stunned. Ichijuku gave a curt nod as Eko and Mai turned to Yuno, who was a little nervous.] Yuno: I can’t let them have all the fun, can’t I…? [Yuno-] My centralized force is mighty (Mighty!) This is Project Stoplights party (Party!) —BOOM! WOOSH!— [All of them were surprised, being able to wield such power. Ichijuku written down something on an officers clipboard before continuing their assessment.] Ichijuku: Skills alone won’t be enough, how strong are you all together as the 3 of you? Eko/Mai/Yuno: Let’s show her! [Project Stoplight-] Take up your Hypnosis Microphone! It had been a long day of testing “Project Stoplights” abilities and letting them learn more about the Hypnosis Microphone, with other officers criticizing them and maybe being against Otome’s decision to bring them into Chuohku.] [And to be honest? She was thinking the exact same thing as they were. Why pick out a former band to test their prized possessions on? Plus, considering 2 men — The term disgusting her — are “overpowering” the woman…?] [She knew that something had to be done, and she was going to do something about it…] [Reaching into a filing cabinet near her desk, she sneaked out 2 microphones and closed the cabinet, the mic’s standing out with Chuohku’s hot pink glowing insignia.] [Slipping them onto either sides of her uniform belt, she pulled up Chuohku’s security system, her evil eyes locked on “Cell 255.”] [Eko’s cell…] [Walking out of her office, Ichijuku also made her way down, a villainous smile painted perfectly on her face…] [To be continued…]

Fear not, I as one of their former humanoids have the power to save your own life if you need it…” “Read on if you’d like, I will not force you to dive into my experience. If you’re interested? Let myself take you on a journey to ensure your anticipated and brighter future ahead of you…” —————————————————————————————————————— 1 — Locked Up — Chuohku Ward, Cell 510 — [Criminals, Yuno always despised them. Some are intelligent and can get away with anything and everything, while others aren’t exactly the sharpest tools in the shed…It was funny, why was he locked up despite not being any sort of criminal mastermind?] [To put it bluntly — He was one of their experiments…] [He could still remember a few brief moments; Traffic Light performing in downtown Fukuoka, filing a witness to remove his father from prison and passing out with the aftertaste of alcohol seeping from his mouth.] [Now here he was, stuck in a minature boxed cell encased by neon hot pink walls that only made his fists clench just by glancing at them. He wondered how his father kept himself busy, inside a small room, not getting enough sleep or barely any energy to even stay awake.] [How could one survive in a damned place like this!?] [Brushing off his suit in frustration, the sound of footsteps — particularly high heels — rapidly inched toward his cell door. With a keycard swipe on the door, it was opened automatically. Upon inspection, a woman in a recognizable hot pink uniform was waiting expectantly, an expression of authority planted on her face.] [A Chuohku officer…] Officer: The Prime Minister has requested your immediate attention, your teammates are also aware of the situation. If you’ll please follow me… [Yuno nodded in a respectful manner, proceeding to follow her down the endless hallway. Though it didn’t sound like a truly “bad” idea, he was still suspicious about the Prime Ministers sudden request for the 3 of them considering having been in Chuohku for atleast 24 hours.] —————— — Chuohku Ward, Prime Minister Office — [As soon as Yuno entered, Eko and Mai had squeezed him tight internally and externally. Returning the favour, he kneeled down to oversee their current conditions, being the protective person he was.] [Eko’s charred hair was slightly disheveled, included with a few scars across pieces of his body, most notably his wrists and neck.] [Meanwhile, Mai’s hair was still cut short — due to avoiding sexual contact during Traffic Lights formation — with cross dressing as a male. A few bruises were present on their face as well…] [Before having the chance to say something, a recognizable purple haired figure was already seated and observing them quietly.] Otome: Welcome, Traffic Light. I understand you may be feeling disoriented with your arrival in Chuohku. So, shall we get started? 2 — Project “Stoplight” [As all of them seated themselves, the atmosphere felt somewhat light. It was strange, being right in front of the person who had taken down the former government with just a single microphone and tons of woman-power.] Otome: You are possibly wondering what brought all 3 of you here, which I can provide an explanation… [Hefting a large silver case onto the desk, her delicate fingers opened it, revealing 3 grey microphones apart of its contents.] Eko: Microphones? Otome: Yes, Seishin. These are the earliest prototypes we in Chuohku have collected as of late…The Hypnosis Microphone. [Eko, Mai and Yuno were all wide eyed.] Otome: The Hypnosis Microphone allows anyone through rapping to control a persons nervous system, possibly to even alter their own state of mind. OverDrive is Fukuoka’s representative rap team. It consists of butler Yuno Kamora, professional dancer Mai Yousei and their leader, idol Eko Seishin.

Their theme colour is electric blue, hence being similar to the natural element electricity. But it also highlights their drive to reach their ambitions.

The groups symbol is an electric blue music note that all 3 members have on an accessory; A chain on Eko’s watch, a design on Mai’s hat and a clip on Yuno’s bracer. It’s meant to represent their huge connection to the hypnosis mic which lead to the teams formation. The groups hand sign is the palm slightly down, which in body language means dominance.

Eko, Mai and Yuno are all childhood friends, as their strong ties put them together. In this sense, their rap styles are similar, but have their originality. All of them have had encounters with the hypnosis mic, which drives them to reach their goal through the hardships they’ve faced alone and as a team. They decided to enter the DRB to get closer to Chuohku and overthrow the Party of Words for good. ______________________________________ Now becoming a blockbuster team, their combined ambition only soars higher and higher. Continuing to make massive waves, OverDrives true chain of objectives unknowingly changed. Now immersed and placed in the DRB, their main objective resides in having “fun” with the other divisions, with their 1st official team “mission” lying on one acquired target — Taking their division back by force from a few “forsaken” defenders.
