Summary:

Roz Molovo was always a hard working person. She was smart and was on the path to a good life with a good career.

But that never happened. Sure, a big house, a servant robot, and a good paying job were great but it all came with a price, Roz had learned. What people from the outside never saw was just how she was able to keep her objectively “perfect” life.

Nor did they ever see how trapped she really felt.

All because of her boss. Vontra.

But one day, Roz meets a charming redheaded man one night and things change completely for her in ways she never expected and certainly never wanted.

But as time goes on, she thinks maybe it just might be her key of escape.

But with her career and entire life being on the line due to a huge life-altering surprise, how can she be so sure that things won’t crumble all around her?

I JUST WATCHED THE WILD ROBOT AND, HOLY CRAP, IT WAS AMAZING!

10/10!! It was honestly so refreshing, the animation and the soundtrack were both spot on!!

A little bit of tropey-dialogue fresh from the list of ‘How to Break the Silence in the Least Compelling Way Possible’ snuck it’s way in there, but overall it didn’t impede on my viewing experience to the point of being ill-immersive.

OH MY GOD!! ROZ!! I LOVE HER!! I loved her design, her voice, her expressions, her dialogue, and her backstory—OH MY GOODNESS—the wordbuilding in general was ASTOUNDING!! I fucking loved the shots where it was clear that this was an Earth that faced the repercussions of global warming—which in itself already adds onto the main tone of the movie.I don’t know how, but it does.

Again, DreamWorks should be pretty damn proud of themselve, because this was the feel-good robot movie I’ve been needing since my viewing of TF:ONE (i’m still not done crying over it).

a couple of doodles for my Roz x Vontra fic and cover ideas for said fic. i chose to use the texture of the brush to help with the "shading" in the mini illustrations but now that i'm seeing it here on tumblr the image quality brings it down lole. Haven't been drawing them too much but it's just because I keep writing for them, ha...

the part where i give up on coming up with ideas by myself

i'm probably going to post a roz x vontra fanfiction on ao3 eventually. I don't want to draw them too off model so they start losing their robot-ness. I freaking love yuri but I also enjoy keeping a sort of believableness in characterizations that I depict. not always of course, i also love making OOC content. but as someone who has always enjoyed villain/hero, in the beginning stages of a ship i like to stay somewhat within their original dynamic. any suggestions for scenarios that would lend well to a oneshot fic are welcome, i can write but slowburn 50k words are not within my current capabilities (still a college student/employee). also ideas for specific drawings are welcome here and in my inbox. i think i still have anon asks turned on but it's been years so let me know if i don't and i'll relearn how to change that. going to bed now, this post won't be staying up and if nobody sees this then i'll just think of something myself, but i always like hearing from ppl that might ship my fav obscure ship.
