Life Lens - Entry 203
I want someone who doesn’t feel the need to reach out to someone else the second I’m not available. It’s crazy how some people are out here just trying to fill a void, looking for a quick distraction when things aren’t going their way or when their partner isn’t immediately accessible. I’m not about that. I want real commitment, someone who can sit with themselves and not feel like they have to…

How To Fill Those Awkward Gaps In Your Christmas Packages –Shredded Paper
Yes, we’re coming up to that time of year again, when the nights are drawing in, and more and more of the population’s focus is turning to the festive months. At the time of typing, we aren’t quite in the thick of the Christmas period just yet, but you can be sure that it will be here fast – and that, in turn, underlines the importance of preparing now.
For today’s blog post, we’re talking about a relatively unglamorous, but nonetheless crucial, aspect of getting your Yuletide hampers and gift packages together: how you can fill those awkward gaps in your box, carton, or hamper.
Leaving such gaps as they are heightens the likelihood of the item moving around inside the package, particularly if you intend to send yours through the postal system. And you won’t want to increase the chances of that special gift sustaining damage on its ‘journey’ as a result.
So, what are the solutions to which you could turn for padding out your parcels and filling those awkward gaps in the package, before it is sent to or received by the recipient?
Couldn’t you just use any old thing to pad out your Christmas parcels?
That might seem a fair suggestion – after all, there’s always good old bubble wrap, including any you might have lying around the house from previous Christmases. It’s certainly a proven packaging product, but it’s also not the most environmentally friendly of the options out there – being non-biodegradable – and it’s far from the prettiest, either. It ‘does the job’ for the most part, without being special.
Or what about ‘packing peanuts’, also sometimes referred to as ‘voidfill’? These are products that are specifically designed to act as ‘filler’ in a box or package, but their disadvantages are similar to those of bubble wrap. By that, we mean that many of the types of packing peanuts are not impressive in terms of their eco-friendliness, and they’re frequently plain – some might even say ‘cheap’ – in appearance.
Fine, so what about simply using tissue paper? It can certainly help fill in the awkward gaps in your boxes, but on the other hand, it might be too delicate a material to really provide much protection for the items inside. Heavier items, for instance, can easily crush tissue paper.
Yes, that’s right – we have the ideal solution for the festive period
Are you seeking out a ‘filler’ product for the above dilemma, that not only looks more than presentable, but can also be counted on to fill those gaps and provide that crucial ‘buffer’ against the risk of damage? If so, you might have good reason to check out our recently launched Christmas shredded paper range.
Whether you’re specifically searching for well-priced Xmas crinkle cut paper shred filler, or you prefer classic straight cut options in any of a variety of colours, Shredded-Paper.co.uk could be a worthwhile destination for you in the weeks and months ahead.
We make available tough and versatile 80gsm kraft papers that work well as filler in addition to fulfilling your organisation’s environmental credentials from such a product, being made from 100% recycled material, and entirely recyclable in turn.
How about that for an excellent packing filler solution this Christmas? Whether you are an individual or business shopping for shredded papers, you really don’t need to look further than our own online store over Yuletide.
