#Vivziepop doesn't always need to be on top!

Note
It's not a "pointless rivarly." It's the animation industry.
Vivziepop is not a god. There are better shows out there.
Stop trying to throw Vivziepop on top all the time under the guise of "supporting indie creators." You're not, you're just throwing Viv on top by saying "Dont compare her shows to other shows! Dont say that anyyything else is better and deserving of more love! Let the other shows not get the spotlight! Vivziepop's content is the top of the indie industry and all the other shows come secondairy! Compairing them is just making unfair comparrrrisons! Only let Vivziepop be on top!" or "Let Vivziepop be mean! We need more of her cartoon porn no matter how many people we got to harass and gaslight!" It's selfish, manipulative, and downright cruel.
Stop.
Also, all you just did was prove:
As a lackadaisy fan who dropped helluva 5 episodes in, I think you’re overestimating the effect of the fandom has on things outside of itself because you are inmeshed in it. You don’t have the outside view. Don’t get me wrong, it sounds like a toxic shit show, but it doesn’t have a ‘monopoly’. If all it took to gain a monopoly in entertainment was to have a horribly rabid fanbase that won’t take the smallest bit of criticism, the history of indie entertainment would be very different.
(TW: LONG POST, mentions of Vivziepop's behavior, also if you're another lackadaisy fan that's curious about what's been happening over at the Hazbin fandom PLEASE DONT SKIP THIS POST!)
"If all it took to gain a monopoly in entertainment was to have a horribly rabid fanbase that won’t take the smallest bit of criticism, the history of indie entertainment would be very different."
Hm...
As a Helluva Boss fan who's seen how many views most indie projects have nowdays, plus what Vivziepop did here, especially since this wasnt just about the fanbase to begin with:
(Psst. Vivienne, these people got bills and families to pay for, so maybe dont try to push them away from other projects just because you like Hazbin Hotel? You can hire other people, you've done it millions of times before- let other projects thrive, and let them have different projects so they can be successful too! Far-Fetched barely has as any workers compared to you, so maybe stop being selfish and share the load so other projects can get all the help they can get? Especially when you rush out 5+ episodes a year and treat your staff like shit? So maybe... I dont know... treat them better so "A BUNCH!" of people from Spindlehorse wont think of even having to do so much extra work, day jobs and all, when there's 40+ million bucks sitting from your shows RIGHT THERE?! There's a reason why "a bunch" of people would be brought to do other projects at the same time. -and it's not because of all the red...)
I think it's pretty safe to say that theres an obvious monopoly going on. Why else would these episodes be getting 20+ million at a time, for years, while other just as good projects get next to none in comparison. Honestly, look at how much views, how many trends the shows follow, how much mainstream appeal, how much merchandising fills the "shelves" of Sharkrobot, how many episodes were shilled out in 2021 alone, how much it dominates the indie industry, and try to tell me that Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel are " not a monopoly!" Shilling out multiple Helluva Boss episodes full of softcore porn and bright colors a year to keep Spindlehorse's shows on top of the trending tag on Youtube EVERY YEAR SINCE 2019! -and end being what millions end up being reccomended. Though many people dont know that HB exists, many others do, and it's almost constantly being mentioned with indie animation while equally beautiful looking, or much better written projects get only 50,000+ views. Even in spite of Exxes and Oohs situation:
Season Two's premiere got 4+ million views in 15 hours.
While when I was watching the premiere of Exxes and Oohs with my freinds a couple of weeks ago after it premiered:
I noticed that it only had 1 million views in 5 hours, and then pretty much stayed that way throughout the entire week with only about 3 million for several days after Ep 1 had 4+ mil in only 15 hours.
While the premeire of Season Two passed 4+ million in LESS THEN TWENTY FOUR HOURS! -and the last episode is barely over it's despite being over 5 months apart. It's been a whole month, yet Seeing Star's views are still similar to when it was released and Exxes and Oohs is barely surpassing Seeing Stars despite a whole month having passed, while for Season One, in 5 months there would be 20+ million views and at times... more!
-and just to make this worse...
Hazbin Hotel.. a show with a pilot with over 70+ million views:
It's anniversary/sneak peak into the official show got only-
Get this...
THREE MILLION VIEWS!
-when FIVE WHOLE MONTHS have already passed and the fandom's still popular! While most of the previews for the pilot got OVER 3.5 million and the most popular being 20+ mil!
So it's really just people not caring to see the literal anniversary of the show since most were turned off by Helluva Boss or moved on because they grew out of all the stereotypes. It's got only about 0.8% of the views Hazbin's pilot has gotten despite the fact that people have been waiting for this show for THREE YEARS now and the fandom is bigger than ever. So even for that monopoly, it's slowly falling, and people barely cared about Hazbin's anniversary and release date reveal despite having waited for 3+ years.
So "Seeing Stars's" views has barely budged since release, Season Two's premiere has 20+ mil, but has also been that way since over three months ago, Exxes and Oohs only had 1 mil after even 5+ hours and onward, and Hazbin Hotel, a show with billions of fans, it's anniversary got only 3 mil- while the past season made OVER A YEAR AGO continues to receive views regularly. Meanwhile, Lackadaisy, had 6+ million in only TWO WEEKS while Exxes and Oohs barely got passed that in that time period (I remember it having maybe 5+ mil in about two weeks last time I checked, or even less that that.) and has been stagnant in views for 3+ weeks while Lackadaisy got over half of that in only 2+ weeks.
Which now makes it Helluva Boss's very first competitor.
While Murder Drones has Seeing Star's level of views after an ENTIRE YEAR so this is really saying something about the quality of Helluva Boss's latest episodes as Season One still skyrockets, the latest episodes stay stagnant even after 3+ weeks, and Helluva Boss now has a direct competitior due to this lowering in quality and just how many reviews are now criticizing it while Lackadaisy's reviews are majority positive with little to no hiccups in between.
Not joking, the first thing you get when you search "Seeing Stars Review" is thousands of negative reviews because of Vivienne, Adam, and Brandon Rodger's refusing to improve in their WRITING- you know... WHAT THEY WROTE ON A DOCUMENT?! The thing people have been CRITIQUEING?! Not "a personal, useless preference" but ACTUAL CRITICISM that they keep ignoring to look "near perfect" and to keep the monopoly going while other indie shows continue to get mediocure level views in comparison to Helluva Boss.
The views have been stagnant since near release. I remember seeing 17 million 3 weeks after it came out- and now it wont budge!
Yeah, im sure those statistics and thousands of people getting upset for actual reasons are "bad faith!" too. Adam- FUCK OFF! People aren't "bad faith" for telling you that using anti-black and fatphobic stereotypes in your show is awful! Also- you're show is now getting genuine competition so I suggest not being an egotistical jerk to your own fans and to actually listen to them for once before shit hits the fan and you have to further get hit by your own karma!
While look at all of the positive reviews Lackadaisy's getting!
Lackadaisy has almost all positive reviews, is catching up with Helluva Boss's latest episodes, all the other episodes in Season Two are also still static in views and Season One continues to get thousands on a daily basis, and yet is still- and I mean- still, Barely scratching Daisy's success! In comparison to how you'd think these "still being rewatched a lot" last episodes would be doing since this is HB, the monopoly of indie animation, that we're talking about!
So i'd say that Helluva Boss Season Two has been getting it really rough for the past 8 months in comparison to the success Season One still has, and even then, the first episode still has 54+ mil and yet most of the episodes continued to decrease by the millions each release. So even in Season One, the signs that people were losing interest were already there. -and Ozzies and Truth Seekers have just now caught up with Season Two's first episode (You know... the one people got hyped as all hell by but then lost interest once the episode started getting slammed for how terrible it was?) despite being the ones that are praised often, while Season Two's premiere has barely budged for the past year- making this a receipe for MILLIONS of lost views in total, and this is a fandom that constantly says "I binge watch the episodes a ton!" and yet Season One has barely budged in one and a half years. Its been in 30+ mil I think since last year... it's April now. -and they're now all catching up to each other and are about the same views, which would mean that they're barely going up by the thousands for ENTIRE MONTHS and Season Two, is getting even less because of the negative reviews from not a "useless personal opinion" but OBJECTIVELY BAD WRITING!
Season Two stays stagnant in views even after 5+ weeks and onward since the difference in views is that small.
THEY NOW HAVE A COMPETITOR! So Vivienne really needs to start giving a shit or WOOAH boy things are going to get intense!
So though Helluva Boss is still on top, it's falling over, and now has competition to worry about after only two weeks.
-and even then, it's still on top, because of Vivienne manipulating both her audience and staff into meeting constant demands and giving it constant praise regardless of quality under the threat of being seen as a "bad person" for not doing so.
Helluva Boss having almost billions of dollars in merch, 40+ million views with many of their episodes, a majority celebrity cast with little to no indie actors, Vivziepop having basically tried to put down Far Fetch from having any actual success by trying to not get her team with a show of BILLIONS of views to not work on it just because Hazbin is her "favorite project!" when these people have BILLS TO PAY and a FAMILY that can't be held up just by one project- which is why people like Erin had to work extra jobs, overnight, despite this show getting millions of dollars each day, in the first place! Yet to Vivienne, what mattered the most was her project, and not their lives. Which is the reason why she overworks her staff, and according to people who worked there, aren't even actually allowed to work on other projects, including Far-Fetched, either. While Far Fetched has not nearly as many people working on it and everything we see there has with has 100,000+ or less while Helluva Boss continues to monopolize the industry. (in case you're asking: Yes, it was also her supervisor's fault, but she's a million dollar creator, can't she just hire someone else instead of getting in the way of other people's lives other a cartoon show? Most freelancers do multiple projects, how else are they going to pay the bills?)
Yeah, Erin was lifted from a few things- but did they still have to work an extra job just to support themselves despite working for a 40+ million dollar show, did most people in Spindlehorse end up having to suffer even worse to meet those kinds of demands?
YES!
So does that make all the "Erin's not a real victim" or "Erin Frost's mistakes, as a human being, makes everything people say about Vivienne's behavior "not true" just because we beleive people who bootlick Vivienne but not people that she's hurt despite both people "only" using word of mouth. Except no, because no the ex-staff have evidence and yet the current staff who threatened to punch the people who spoke out about Vivziepop's behavior have nothing but word of mouth but we'll still beleive them just because they give us softcore porn! :D" comments now complete bullshit?
YES!
-and with Ashley Nichols in particular:
You'd think that Vivziepop would try to help Ashley... A LOT!
-since Ashley gave her projects millions of views in publicity and support with Hunicast and having actually worked on Hazbin!
But instead, Viv prioritized herself in the situation, fired all of her indie voice actors and replaced most of them with celebrities when she could have easily found other indie vcs but choose to use her status to get an actor from Grey's Anatomy and NORMAN REEDUS- and most likely will get more celeberties for Hazbin just because "famous = don't accociate with indie actors." appparently despite her main thing being "Support indie creators guys! :("
Vivziepop, again, pulling herself up while she's already been the top of the indie industry for the past 4+ years, while other projects continue to be pushed into the mud of a "cult classic" grave.
So in reality- Helluva Boss isnt "helping" the indie industry grow stronger, it's causing a monopoly which gets in the way of people's shows, their careers, their jobs, and even their mental health.
-and many people having little to no mentions of other projects outside of "Look at this pretty cool project I found- Ok, BACK TO HELLUVA BOSS AND HAZBIN HOTEL WOOOOAH LOOK THIS IS THE BEST INDIE SHOW EVAR!1!" is a literal monopoly in it's most capitalistic, trend serving, overproduced form.
Ashley even saw Vivienne trying to blacklist yet another staff member just because that staff member was upset about how much they were being rushed and overworked in order to meet even near the same demands, even with a few things being lifted since they have ADHD, they were still overworked, and for the rest of the staff it was even worse since they were overworked and bullied in order to meet the demands of said monopoly and stay in Spindlehorse.
Far Fetched got announced years ago- yet Vivziepop hasnt even mentioned it once as far as ive seen, she fired Ashley's partner and seeing how HB is, is likely going to replace him with an non-indie voice actor when apparently she could have easily kept them if she just paid a fee, when she has MILLIONS of dollars in support for her show now, lives in LA, and could easily use her platform to support THOUSANDS of indie projects. But as usual, she pulls herself up, bullies her own fandom by saying that they're "NOT A WRITER!" and "CANT UNDERSTAND WRITING!" for giving her any feedback and has basically manipulated her audience into seeing her and her shows as "NEAR PERFECT!" to continue said monopoly with HB's continous trending and high reviews regardless of quality. While other projects are only "secondairy". -and despite having worked on Hazbin Hotel, Far Fetched has gotten the average amount of acknowledgement for indie animation- Which, isnt much... at all.
Compared to that of mainstream shows, and especially Hazbin Hotel!
Yet as usual, Vivziepop manipulates her followers into contuining to put her on top regardless of her channel's ever reducing quality, and even views since it's lost millions since debut. With people constantly making excuses such as "ITS JUST BEEN UP LONGER!" and "ITS NOT LOSING VIEWS THE PANDEMIC HAS JUST ENDED AND PEOPLE ARE OFFLINE MORE NOW!"
Yeah-
Say that to how Lackadaisy has 6+ million in only two weeks despite being another show altogether, despite the show also having been produced in the pandemic since 2019.
It's been only two weeks yet it already has almost just as many views, and if this keeps up, will likely even have more than HB's latest episode while "EXXES AND OOHS!" has been only at 13+ since it was released. It barely has moved on inch in a entire month while Lackadaisy keeps going... and going... and going...
While Helluva Boss's latest episode has barely scratched the surface despite being just as new with only a month difference.
It's honestly messed up how Ashley was shafted after supporting Vivziepop and working for her after all this time. Same for all the other artists who worked for her. -and as Erin said:
-and seeing how Far Fetched is doing right now, this couldnt be any more evident of just how much of a capitalistic, worker mistreating, monopoly that Vivziepop's channel has become to the point where people who worked with her FOR YEARS still end up getting the short end of the stick or even outright harassed by her and her fandom, and she doesnt even defend them, she just... let's the bullying happen, let's her ex staff get slandered, let's her staff threaten to HIT THEM while only caring about shippings involving literal FICTIONAL CHARACTERS! -and last time I checked... going to the levels of not just trying to manipulate people into thinking that Vivienne is a "perfect little lamb" to gaslight people into not looking into how she treats her staff- but also THREATENING VIOLENCE over the fact that someone was actually honest about what was happening in Spindlehorse- Isnt exactly what i'd like to call "good treatment" of your staff since Vivienne let you do this to people. Hell- is- IS THIS EVEN ALLOWED ON TWITTER?! Is it even allowed for people on the platform to threaten to hurt someone on Twitter in their guidelines, hell, is it even legal to threaten to hurt someone like this at all?! Especially if it's being used to threaten people into not speaking out about actual workplace mistreatment?!
HOLY SHIT! Just let these people tell you that you need to do better, and going to the levels of threatening to hit someone for critiqueing Vivienne for her behavior even once and then going out of your way to call them "GLASS JAWED MOTHER FUCKERS!" is genuine hostility and honestly, I dont even think it's even legal to verbally harass and threaten people to this extent. WHAT THE FUCK?!
I looked into this and... yeah! What Monica did was against Twitter guidelines by threatening to hit people who were in the studio that said anything about how Viv was actually acting.
I also checked to make sure, but.... yeah, she actually wanted to hit people for saying that Vivienne was overworking her own staff by rushing and also having to work full day jobs despite Helluva Boss continuisly ranking in millions of dollars. Which means that they were getting a small percentage of pay compared to what ends up being used for Vivziepop's "spectacle!" animation. So this isn't just acephobia, but also threatening genuine violence towards people for saying that they don't deserve to be mistreated. This is vile.
Hell, even without those guidelines- it's disgusting that Vivienne let her staff talk to people this way and then also mistreated Spindlehose for all these years too. NO ONE deserves to be treat this way for speaking out, especially if all they're doing is saying what happened to them in a studio that they worked in, and the fact that everyone demonizes Erin Frost for a few mistakes but then lets Vivziepop's "favorites" threaten to HIT SOMEONE is actually horrifying.
Honestly.
Helluva Boss isnt even "INDIE" anymore, it just fills up space in the indie community while clearly being a million dollar, mainstream show that has Norman Reedus and other celebrities in it to give the "We're indie so we can do what we want just because we're smaller than Disney!" excuse to be assholes to other people for even saying something as simple as "tone down the saturation a bit."
It's a monopoly. A monopoly built on years of breaking trust, threats, more bullying, betrayal, prioritizing in fame over indie creators, worker mistreatment, rushed projects, fanbase manipulation, and it's why I have so much faith in Lackadaisy. It gives me hope, it gives me hope that one day Vivienne will finally get told to "WAKE UP!" through all that's been happening. That the monopoly will end, that the indie industry will become more balanced again, that freelance artists will be treated better and receive more respect for their craft instead of just being used to meet corperate demands. That hope... is why, that though I like Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, that I also wish for other creators to get the spotlight and that one day... maybe... just maybe... that a new franchise will take Helluva Boss's place.
So to answer your question:
Yes. By defintion Helluva Boss has become a monopoly. It's taking a large chunk of the indie animation industry, and the creators overworked their staff to meet high demands for it to get trending almost every year through high amounts of demand and episodes in 2021 alone. It's taken a large amount of control over the industry and it's come to a point where creators have to rely on supporting Vivziepop to even get a piece of what HB has. Honestly, how is that fair? How is it "fair" to overwork her staff and appeal to even the bottom of the barrels of trends to keep her show trending while most of the other indie shows on Youtube suffer for it?!
It's making the indie animation community almost as corperate as the very companies that caused these people to steer towards indie animation in the first place. Which is such a shame, because there's so many good projects out there- yet to be discovered by most people. -and yet HB gets the trending almost every time because it appeals to as many mainstream trends and porn accounts as possible through all it's fetish and ship bait content and mass amounts of merchandising, and from mass amounts I mean HUNDREDS OF PIECES OF MERCHANDISING every year, even after the show already has 40+ million dollars in it's budget so it's just capitalism and mainstream pandering at this point. The indie community went from going against corperations and capitalism to BECOMING corperate and capitalistic.
It makes me miss back when all we had mostly were just fun short films and play dough animations. It's like people in the indie community have forgotten why we even make all these animations in the first place.. Not just for money and sucess....
But for fun, to animate away from corperations... for fun.
#this is some full on manipulative language right here and is exactly what I was talking about here. Let other shows have the spotlight l#Let people say that other shows are better-#So they can also get the popularity they deserve#Encouraging otherwise is a literal monopoly#Vivziepop doesn't always need to be on top!#Let other shows exist as being better shows!#Let other creators win! Especially if theyre better people!#Stop the monopoly!

Whatever the fuck Vivziepop will do to Mammon in the show, he will always remain a sweetheart to me.
A sweetheart who was created to be the ultimate cuddling and hugging machine. A sweetheart who finds enjoyment in simple things like fried chicken. A sweetheart who doesn't want seggz and just does his little spider business. A sweetheart who is so sensitive to the sun and heat that he needs a lot of hydration and a cute umbrella. A sweetheart who teleports in the most over-the-top and whimsical way possible. A sweetheart who brings a fidget spinner to important meetings. A sweetheart who throws up when he's upset or nervous. A sweetheart with a light, childish attitude who can beat up and put in their place anyone. A sweetheart who's just a sensitive, spoiled baby boi. A sweetheart with grizzly-like chompers he'd never use to attack with, they are simply there to make his toothy smile impeccable. A sweetheart who literally looks like a big fat happy baby. A sweetheart with beautiful, delicate-looking hands. A sweetheart who wears adorable costumes with many, many cute details. A sweetheart that radiates the joy and lightness of being that clowns are supposed to have. A sweetheart who embodies the child-like sense of wonder. A sweetheart who is unapologetically himself.
Just a big greedy teddy bear who will forever and always hold a special place in my black, cold heart.

They deserve better.
CW: Vivziepop Critical/Stolitz Critical under the cut
I think the thing that's surprised me the most about the current run of Helluva content is how 'protective' i've gotten over Blitz?
Y'all I fucking hate him. I've always hated him because his obnoxious traits are so unbearable and the interesting parts can't make up for that.
But he's being painted as something he isn't.
He's just an asshole trying to make a living. He's backed into a corner by a dude who developed an unhealthy attachment to someone that's in no position to fight back. So he just goes with it to SURVIVE.
Honestly I think it would be really interesting if this was depicted as it is. It'd be really compelling to have a narrative about this man doing his best with the shit hand he's been given.
Why should I care about some nepobaby who's the architect of his own undoing? Nothing with Stolas sticks the landing for more than a fraction of a second when they're tearing other characters down to make him look more sympathetic.
You know what I think would be interesting?
If Blitz and Stella started talking.
I know Viv and Co refuse to admit Stella is anything beyond a two-dimensional bitch, but let's be real y'all. She not only had to marry a man who she didn't like, but she had to HAVE HIS CHILD. She had to carry an egg for who knows how long and go through the trauma of childbirth with a man she didn't love.
She has to deal with a freak of a brother too.
Maybe if you showed she was sleeping around, I'd feel different. But her being a bitch doesn't make it right to cheat on her. Like a divorce is traumatic enough. Let alone one where it's initiated when the man your husband is fucking lands on your garden table, announcing what happened.
Of course she'd get vicious when that happens.
And your poor daughter is caught in the middle of this and you neglect her needs?
Yeah, not gonna lie, as much as I found him interesting in the pilot, Stolas SWIFTLY rose to the top of my most hated characters.
It's not enough for him to ruin his own life. He's destroying at LEAST three others as well.
Stella is a bitch, but she deserved an honest divorce.
Blitz was just in it for the survival of his company, he doesn't owe you love.
Octavia deserved the WORLD. You can't keep neglecting her and say 'oh well he's doing his best uwu'. HE IS A NOBLEMAN. HE CAN MOST CERTAINLY DO BETTER. FOR ALL HE CLAIMS TO LOVE HER, HE CONTINUES TO LET HER DOWN. You can't keep having him forget about her needs. It makes it look like he doesn't give a damn until it directly effects him.
For a show that tries to emulate things like South Park and Bojack, the team seems incapable of understanding what makes things like that work.

Hazbin Hotel Au: Alastor Altruist The Ex-Exorcist (2024)
----------
[Note: if possible, and if needed...please click on the drawing to make it a bit bigger....also I do plan to use this drawing as a Cover for a future chapter over at Quotev. so it will be for here and there.]
Credit for Hazbin Hotel goes to Vivienne “Vivziepop” Medrano
-----------
yeah if it weren't for the fact that Alastor always seems to get a "X" on his forehead most of the time when he uses his powers and the whole what Carmilla Carmine says about Vaggie, I wouldn't have this weird idea and Fan-Headcanon theory about Alastor.
so yeah, even if the chances of Alastor being a former Exterminator/Ex-Exorcist Angel is possibly not very likely, but what if he did become one after he had died in the human world, but he couldn't truly be himself when he got into Heaven and was made to be part of Adam's Exterminators, which is possibly made up of all Women.
there is a big reason why the horns that is a part of Alastor's Exterminator outfit, has Horns that are similar to a Female Imp while the other is Similar to a Male Imp, that is why both of them have the words "Nope" for the Female Horns and "Yes" for the Male Horns.
even if Alastor might not figure out he is Ace, which just makes him adorkable that way with him being the only one who doesn't know he is Ace.
it could be that Rosie isn't the only one who possibly knows and it can turn out that Husk, Mimzy and Niffty who know this as well.
the idea I want to go with this drawing, is for a type of Crossover AU where Alastor is Chara's parent, and it is thanks to a fan fic I read before where he is Chara's Father that I love the idea so much.
and if Alastor had originally the wrong type of body that didn't match his gender identity of being Male, it could be possible he was still going through the process of transitioning but had yet to get the whole top surgery before his death, and would mostly dress up in the outfits that match his true self but most of the time had dressed in the outfits that was expected of him.
the idea I want to go with for well this version of Alastor, is that he had went through the whole taking some of his eggs and having them cryogenic frozen, which still ends up frozen even after his death, so Chara would end up being born some decades later.
so Alastor wouldn't know he had became a Father while he was in the Afterlife, even if it took some decades later for the eggs he had cryogenic frozen to be used by a couple that wanted a child.
Chara's Human Parents, could of been both not able to have a child, because the Human Dad was sterile, so they would also have to get another genetic material for the other part of having Chara be made.
I'm kind of tempted to have Vox be the Other Biological Dad. XD
like picture how Valentino would react, it would be kind of funny.
I also want to go with the idea that Chara's Mom, who the egg was implanted in, did what some of those women from Vandread did, which I think maybe in a few hours or so, I will go and watch some of the episodes...
like Chara's Human Mom could of splice some of her DNA into the egg, and then have it be placed into her Womb, which would mean that Chara is the Biological Child of Alastor and the unknown Human Mother.
and yes, I love Vandread, and the idea of Chara having a slightly similar creation is interesting, but Alastor would still be the Dad.
not everyone has to like this idea, and how Alastor's Dead-Name is Alastriona. but yeah, it is thanks to some episodes of Hazbin Hotel that makes me think that before Alastor ended up in Hell, he didn't end up going to Hell and instead ended up in Heaven and was made to work for Adam until he ended up where he is now.
but it might of been thanks to his deal with someone where he is also on a chain, that he was able to leave and become who he truly is, and yeah in a Crossover AU idea I have, this version of Alastor was originally born in a female body, but that wasn't who he was.
the idea is that before he had figured out he was a man, is that he still kept his hair long, well some guys do still grow their hair long but some can choose to have it short. just like how some gals can either have long or short hair.
the reason why Alastor's Deer Ears don't show on the other versions of him being in his Exorcist form, is because it can have to do that he was able to hide his Deer Ears, and he could possibly still do that but chooses to not do so anymore.
and if Alastor was formerly "one of Adam's girls" but technically not being a girl, Alastor may have finished most of his transition and of course it could be possible Adam wouldn't recognize him.
this version of Alastor could use a Binder to well bind his chest, that he never got rid of in the top surgery he was suppose to have before he died.
and one of the ways I can think how he could, without some form of regeneration happening afterwards, is if he possibly used Angel Weapon that has been reformed into a Medical Tool. and well it could be for those who choose to go through the surgeries that they weren't able to get around to when they were still living in the human world.
the chances of Alastor actually being a Transman in the canon, it possibly not likely to be confirmed or canon.
even if it is true that only some percent of deer in real life, do have both the male and females have antlers while other type of deer it is only the males who have them.
so yeah, in some species of deer, it isn't just the bucks that get the antlers on their head.
so yeah, this drawing was inspired by not only Alastor having that "X" appear on his head at times, but also what Carmilla says about Vaggie.
but there could be other reasons why that "X" is there, and the original reason for the "X" on Sinners might not be canon anymore, but that doesn't mean the "X" wont still have some meaning, like having to do with Angels who end up living in Pentagram City.
anyway it's okay if the idea of Alastor also being a former Exorcist isn't true or even canon, it still be a good idea in Fanon Timelines.
also even though the drawing itself isn't really mature, I'm still having the tags "not for kids" and "mature audiences only" because of what I wrote on this post, and well hopefully some will respect the whole "do not reblog without permission" tag...
anyway hope some like this drawing as well as the idea about the name Alastriona being Alastor's Dead-Name.

THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS AND ANALYSIS FOR HAZBIN HOTEL. I AM NOT A HAZBIN FAN AND ONLY WATCHED IT TO FORM FAIR AND HONEST CRITIQUE.
Also this post is really long.
So... I watched all of Hazbin with a friend and... it wasn't good. I didn't have high expectations because I saw the pilot when it came out and it gave me a really bad headache for the rest of the day. But I had higher hopes for the Amazon Prime series since it was, y'know, a more professional production with established companies behind it. But as we were watching it, more and more problems began to surface. Something that continues to bother me long after we finished it.
See, many criticisms about the show online devolve into the show swearing a lot and all of the designs looking the same, and while those are definitely issues with the show, they are not to the extreme people make it out to be. It kind of goes to show how the people who have made these points never actually sat down and watched at least an episode of it and just going with what everyone else said about it. That's beside the point. If you really want to make the memes of "Xyz if it were written by VivziePop", you could always address Hazbin's shockingly bad pacing and the team's "Tell-Don't-Show" writing style that permeates throughout this 8 episode experience.
That's the part that drove me up a wall, the fact that Hazbin tries to dump all of this lore, character arcs, and a plot of epic proportions in just 8 24 minute episodes, a little over 3 hours of total screentime. You can definitely tell that events (plot important events, I might add) are just glosses over or speedran through faster than the Olympic 100m. Relationship conflicts? Started and resolved in one episode. Angel Dust's traumatic experiences and abuse? Presented and resolved in one episode. Sir Pentious learning to be a good person? This one's even better. It happens OFF SCREEN. Not to mention, everyone just flat out states their problems instead of showing them. It's really all over the place. But I have a theory as to why it's like this.
The Hazbin writers are writing a musical instead of a serialized animated series.
Lemme explain.
Now I am not a big fan of musical theater. I respect the hell out of it and Hades Town was pretty cool. But I just don't like it. But as someone who was forced to be in various high school musical theater productions and a former musician, I know more than most about theater. And applying that logic to the show made some things about it make more sense.
It's important to note first off that theater and television are two very different mediums of storytelling. The primary focus of musical theater is... the theatrics. The songs, the performances, the dancing, etc. While it still needs to be there, story isn't as prominent like television and film.
You wanna know why Cats failed as a movie? Aside from everything else surrounding it, the pacing of the musical is incredibly lopsided, focusing most of the runtime on introducing characters with musical numbers and only really getting anywhere by the end of the second act. But the show is still very popular because the music and the choreography are so incredible.
Because story doesn't isn't top priority, things can be forgiven and hand-waved that normally wouldn't in television and film. Important plot points can happen off screen, usually because showing it on stage would be too difficult. Actors often flat out state how they're feeling or acting because the audience can't see their faces from that far away. Characters can go through complete arcs in one or two scenes to get the show moving along. It works in musical theater because of suspension of disbelief and the charm comes from seeing these events happen live.
These are all things that Hazbin does, and the show is filled with tons of theatrics and spectacle over a story. Hell, it even has a closer runtime to a Broadway musical than it does to a standard 13 episode season.
But here's the problem. What works in musical theater doesn't work in TV or film. When watching a TV show, there are certain expectations that need to be met and vice versa. It's like trying to talk to an Italian speaker by using Spanish. Some stuff may look or sound similar to each other, but it's not as compatible as you'd think.
Considering that VivziePop is a huge fan of Broadway, it wouldn't surprise me at all if her writing style was influenced by it. You could take Hazbin season 1 and adapt it as a Broadway musical and you wouldn't need to change much. In fact you could remove things for time and it would still be good. But this type of storytelling doesn't work in TV, especially serialized shows. Things need to be elaborated on further and characters need to be seen growing and learning instead of just telling the audience that they are.
tl:dr - Hazbin Hotel's pacing problems and writing faults make sense when you look at it through the lens of music theater, which doesn't excuse it because it's a TV show and not Broadway.

i watched Helluva Boss for the first time three days ago, and now it's all i've been able to think about for the past 72 hours and i have THEORIES 💀 (concerning 1. Stolas in the finale p2, and 2. Blitzø's past with Fizz)
idk how to do the "keep reading" thing, so
*Spoilers for Helluva Boss up to ep 7*
---
1. Okay, so first and foremost, it makes me so fucking upset to admit, but i am convinced that Stolas is gonna die in the finale. Between his song in ep2 (telling Via "it'll be okay" even if he's gone), the fact that his wife probably still has Striker after him, and the way Stolas and Blitzø ended things at the end of the last ep (which i'm not sure would be more heartbreaking: if they make up first and then Stolas dies, or if he dies before they get any sort of closure).
Either way, i think it'll push Blitzø over an emotional edge that he's already teetering on, causing him to hit a rock bottom he didn't think could get any lower. I saw another post mentioning how everything seems to be getting set up for Blitzø to feel totally alone and unwanted/unneeded (his thing with Loona not needing him in ep 2 never got resolved, and even with his make up with Moxxie in ep 6, he then proceeds to continue pushing his luck with following the M&M's anniversary date and accidentally helping to fuck it up), and if this all comes bubbling up in the finale, then Stolas' death could very easily be what pushes him over the edge.
Even if he doesn't outright die, i think Stolas will at least be injured enough to put him in critical condition, and cause a similar reaction from Blitzø. And I hope that it makes him actually try to deal with his issues and be better for the ones he loves, repairing his relationships with Loona and the M&M's for sure, and then death-depending on Stolas (if Stolas survives, i will also be fascinated to see how they proceed with the Stolitz relationship bc wowie there's a lot to unpack there).
But thing i fear is that, this isn't Hazbin Hotel - this show isn't about redemption. But at the same time, it's still Vivziepop, so maybe it'll have the vibes of "even demons can strive to be better to their loved ones" or something along those lines. gah idk about the aftermath, i'm preparing for the worst and ready to bawl my eyes out. i really hope Stolas doesn't die and even if him and Blitzø have a lot of things to work through, that they get together properly and it'll be a plot point in season 2, but goddamn i am so scared.
2. So I've seen the theories that the white spots on imps are scars/birthmarks, and that Blitzø wasn't born with his white spots. There's also the fact that Fizz has a bunch of prosthetics, and considering how his jester's hat flops, his horns probably aren't under there.
Now, i've seen a theory that he could've done that on purpose, to hide him being an imp in order to get popular/famous. But I think they might be related to Blitzø's scars and part of their falling out.
What if Blitzø's scars and Fizz losing his limbs and horns, were both caused by a circus accident that was Blitzø's fault. (i think i might've heard something similar elsewhere before too, but here's my interpretation)
Here's the timeline i'm thinking:
Fizz and Barbie Wire start making it big without Blitzø, but there's no bad blood yet (a little jealousy, but no resentment yet - that's how he met Verosika, he was still hanging out with big shots before the accident)
Blitzø gets his "one night only" show at the big top ! Fizz comes to support his bud, but Barbie misses it (either bc of prior famous people engagement, and/or bc she got a bit too into drugs/alcohol - causing rift in their relationship obvs). Not a huge crowd shows up either, all boding poorly for Blitzø.
I don't think Blitzø's telling jokes at this point - he was doing that at Loo Loo's after Fizz got famous and has the robots. I think Blitzø's still trying to do more circus-y type stuff at this point.
But he was always the weaker link in the Imp Twins act, and as hard as he tries, he chokes and fucks up, and causes a huge accident and a lot of injuries; including his own and Fizz's.
The accident causes Fizz to resent Blitzø, seemingly ruining his entertainment career. Luckily for Fizz, Asmodeus comes in and gives him his prosthetics, a job and a chance. Fizz moves on in his career, getting more and more popular, especially now that he's practically unrecognizable as an imp, as well as associated with Asmodeus. And he leaves Blitzø in the dust.
Blitzø feels guilty about the accident, but then Fizz becoming wildly famous and successful, despite what happened, and leaving Blitzø behind (fuel on the abandonment-issues fire), is what causes Blitzø to resent Fizz back (and also would feed into the "sellout" comment to robo fizz).
Anyways, i'm done for now 🥲

In less than a week my feed has been plagued by the "hot takes" of entitled fans of the Hazbin and Helluva universe.
As a result, I know I promised some analytical information regarding what we know of Hazbin's version of hell thus far, which will be included in this post. But there will be some other things added as well to address some of the more frequently expressed "concerns" I have seen being (rather rudely) expressed in posts.
Some of the things I will be talking about in these posts, so while I will be utilizing quotes or things said in @total-mal 's very well articulated response post, I recommend going to read that response post in it's entirety. Like... now.
The complaints I tend to see typically fall along these lines.
So in this post I will be addressing these things and other things I typically see.
Story
As was very well put in the aforementioned post, the series of Hazbin barely has an hour of content. Yet for some reason people complain that it's a mess. How?
The Pilot itself is meant to establish the setting, who the characters are, what their relationships to each other are, establishing dynamic, and establish the premise of future story that is meant to follow. All of these things the pilot did exceedingly well. A pilot is NOT meant to drop dozens of hours worth of world lore and future plot points in one half hour segment. It is supposed to hook people into being interested in and watching the follow up episodes. Which, considering the rather quick cult following that preceded the pilot debut, I would say it did that and more even without the world lore dump people are demanding.
No story is going to give you every facet of the characters and the world they inhabit in the first episode or the first novel. No story worth it's weight in salt, that is. Any good story teller will tell you that content needs to be put on an IV drip as the story progresses, or else you will lose the majority of your audience's interest.
Helluva Boss is it's own standalone project set in the same universe as Hazbin, but it's job is not to provide lore for Hazbin. The kernel of lore we got from episode two was great. But that is very likely not going to be the norm every episode. Nor should anyone expect otherwise.
The comics were also their own projects, meant to strengthen an already existing narrative with Hazbin and establish both Angel and Alastor's motives for joining the Hotel. They are not meant to expand on the lore. Their existence could also very likely be overlooked by fans who only pay attention to what is popping up on Youtube or on their Twitter feed.
As for Addict, that began as a fan-created song Vivzie liked enough to animate into a music video which expanded on Angel and Cherri's relationship. It was not meant to be an entry to any Vivziepop Hell lore.
Hazbin is a story driven by its characters. This is why the characters are the focus and take up the majority of any screen time given to any entry of Hazbin. Mal puts it very well:
World
So this is where we will be getting into what we know so far about the world of Vivzie's hell.
So Vivzie's hell is, from what we understand, loosely based on Dante's inferno with other inspirations and deviations mixed in. For example, there are only seven circles of hell as opposed to 9.
In Dante's inferno only circle two through five are after the Seven Deadly Sins. Whereas in Vivziepop's version of hell, every circle is for one of the Seven Deadly Sins.
From what we understand so far, Pride is the top circle, or Ring. Sinners, AKA those who were alive prior to becoming demons, are only allowed to exist in Pride.
We do not know what "can only exist" means. As this doesn't imply that sinners can't leave Pride. Simply that they cannot exist anywhere else.
And also from what we understand, the big marker that differentiates each of the circles is the colors of the sky.
Pride, from what we have seen thus far, has a red sky.
While Greed has a green sky.
This is further confirmed on Twitter, however whether it was confirmed by Vivzie or one of the other official Twitters, I cannot recall.
Now, I know there are quite a few who keep asking this question.
And there are many who seem to think that this little detail means that the fact dump from official Twitters means the story and lore are ruined. This is actually false. Especially when you consider that Sinners are not a finite population. Nor is their influx a small trickle. So expanding Sinners into other parts of hell is only a temporary solution to a more overarching problem. It may slow down the necessity for purges, but it would also increase the number needed to be purged each time a purge was necessary. Further, it is doubtful that Lucifer would be keen on the idea of angels traveling deeper into Hell just as it is doubtful that he sees a reason to be exceedingly merciful to sinners- the creation he detests and is more or less what brought him to Hell to begin with. It also would erase any place to escape for Hell-born demons.
So in this regard, no. Nothing is ruined. People just aren't paying attention. The devil is in the details, after all.
As for what the difference is between circles and rings, perhaps this will shed some light.
Rings seem to be segments of a circle that separate sinners by the subcategory of their sin in each circle. Whether or not Vivziepop's version of hell follows this, I personally doubt it. Ring and Circle, from observation, seem to be used interchangeably. So the two could very well be the same thing.
The other bits we know are lore facts Vivzie has given previously that may no longer be true as the world exists now. For example, previously Alastor was scared of dogs. But more recently, Vivzie said that is no longer true and Alastor simply just does not like them. So any older facts should be taken with a grain of salt until they are reconfirmed.
Switching gears on the world, there have been complaints popping up that Vivziepop's hell is not "hell-y" enough because there is not enough fire and brimstone.
To take a phrase from total-mal once more, there are countless alternate depictions of hell as hell being other people instead of the place itself. The phrase exists from Sartre's No Exit, but has been revisited numerous times in other media depictions of hell to display that the definition of "punishment" can be broadened to a much larger spectrum than originally imagined.
In the Hazbin universe of Hell, punishment is the constant threat of physical and emotional harm from those around you, not unlike being in prison or living in a ghetto. You have the increased potential to be abused or taken advantage of if you show a moment's weakness.
And while some in the demon hierarchy might have it better than others, there is still the constant threat of being killed or overthrown by someone stronger or someone just wanting to prove themselves.
In the Hazbin universe of hell, you wear clues to your life, your sins, and your death on the outside for all to see (and in some cases, manipulate). You are thrust into a demon hierarchy one wrung up from the lowest class, unless you are lucky and strong enough to become an overlord. In which case, then you are two wrungs up from the lowest class. And your punishment is living every day with the constant threat of those around you. Of always needing to have your guard up because someone will take advantage of you or worse. That isn't even mentioning the annual threat of the purge.
Livestreams
This is another one that I see get mentioned and awful fucking lot in the complaint/concern/hot take posts.
There are always complaints about how the livestreams are useless, serve no purpose, or are just "jerkoff sessions." Mind, these same complaints almost always seem to come from the same people complaining about having no information about the show or having no lore surrounding the universe or the story.
Nevermind that Vivzie and the cast are all under NDA and cannot disclose much that isn't already known about the show and, where VAs are concerned, cannot do any voice lines that go beyond what has already been said in the pilot lines.
The Livestreams serve SEVERAL purposes, however. One of those purposes is to drum up interest surrounding Hazbin and Helluva, as well as to advertise and to disclose any lore that they have permission to disclose to the audience. Something to whet their appetites as they wait for the small Indie studio A24 to finish production of Hazbin's first season in the middle of a pandemic. Because that last bit people seem to forget is still ongoing.
Without those livestreams done by Viv and the cast, many of the impatient fans in this fandom would be practically breaking down the door on Vivzie's DMs demanding to know where Hazbin is or why she seems to have given up on it. Or at least, more than what is currently going on now anyway.
People need to calm down, let the Devs do their job, and pay more attention to the details given in what we have thus far. Vivzie has done a GREAT job at eluding to the bigger picture in her details. Particularly where her characters are concerned. And I for one am here for it.
