Wentworth 8x01 thoughts

*How is the show still so good on it’s 8th season?

*Can the team behind Wentworth do an adaptation of Tomorrow, When the War Began please?

*Liked the new intro, the original is better but it’s still cool to change it up after all this time

*LOVED Lou Kelly and Reb, great characters and well acted/written and it’s only their first episode. Really impressed. Not quite sure what to think of Jane Hall’s Ann Reynolds yet.  Really keen to see Marta Dusseldorp and Vivienne Awosoga characters (a special revealed more on Awosoga’s character but nothing on Dusseldorp’s).

*Liking what I’m seeing with Top Dog Allie so far. She seems like a combination of Bea and Kaz with a Frankie inspired look. Damn does she look good. Here’s hoping the writers finally give Kate Jenkison good material. I’ve mentioned it frequently but since Bea died it’s like the writers haven’t known what to do with the character and she’s been all over the place. Jenkinson still acts the hell out of her material regardless. A very promising start.

*Hoping the best for Jake Stewart now. I do think last season proved he has finally changed for the better and Sean was introduced to show what he used to be like and how much he has changed.

*Intrigued to see Rita’s storyline this season

*Looks like Marie is already stirring things up again

*I get why Allie did what she did to Lou but it just felt like a plot moment more then character. She should have known Lou was going to attack Boomer after what she (Boomer) said. I mean Lou shouldn’t have tried to kill Boomer but Allie was briefed by Will on what’s she’s like.

*Aw, baby Grace is adorable.

A very strong start to the season overall.

*That CGI fly was awful, lol.
