Agent Lewis. pt 1
Agent Lewis awoke with a start, his senses jolting awake as he found himself in a state of disorientation. His eyes fluttered open to a dimly lit room, his body feeling unnaturally heavy, every breath a laborious effort. Panic surged through him as he attempted to move, only to find himself confined by an unfamiliar weight pressing down upon him.
As he struggled to sit up, his hands groped for purchase on the surface beneath him, finding only the cool touch of bare skin. It was then that he realized he was completely naked, a wave of vulnerability washing over him. Frantically, his hands roamed across his body, encountering short, pudgy fingers where once there had been slender digits.
With a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach, he glanced downward, only to be met with the sight of a massive belly protruding from his abdomen. It heaved with each labored breath, making it difficult for him to draw in air. His heart pounded in his chest as he grappled with the reality of his transformation.
Gone was the lean, tall, agile frame of Agent Lewis. In its place stood a short, stout figure, the reflection of which stared back at him from the window. Male pattern baldness had claimed his once-full head of hair, leaving only a sparse ring of graying strands around the edges. But atop his upper lip, a thick, graying mustache now adorned his face, adding to the weight of his new identity.
He felt dwarfed by his own body, the once-familiar contours now alien and unfamiliar. This was not what he had expected. The magnitude of the transformation hit him like a ton of bricks, leaving him reeling with disbelief. He had known that assuming a new identity would come with its challenges, but nothing could have prepared him for this. The weight of his new form bore down on him, both physically and mentally, threatening to crush his resolve.
And yet, amidst the turmoil, a new sensation stirred within him. A craving, deep and insistent, tugged at the corners of his consciousness, yet unsure and not recognizable. The thought of it filled him with a strange sense of comfort, a reminder of the role he was now meant to inhabit.
But as he sat up in the recovery room bed, his vision still blurry from the aftermath of his transformation, he couldn't shake the feeling of unease when his gaze fell upon the familiar yet indistinct figure staring back at him through the window. Who was this person? Try as he might, he couldn't quite grasp the identity of the individual beyond the glass. It was a disconcerting mystery that added another layer of complexity to an already overwhelming situation.
Still, Agent Lewis was not one to succumb to despair. With a deep breath to steady himself, he pushed aside his doubts and focused on the task at hand. He may have been transformed into someone unrecognizable, but his determination remained unshaken. This was his most deep cover mission yet, and he was determined to see it through to the end, no matter the cost.
As Agent Lewis continued to explore his new body, he couldn't help but feel a sense of disbelief at the extent of the transformation. Gone were the familiar contours of his 25-year-old physique, replaced by a rounder, thicker form that seemed almost foreign to him. He was 18 inches shorter. His once-toned back and long, lean legs were now a distant memory, obscured by the bulk of his swollen stomach and the presence of prominent man boobs. He attempted in vain to locate his penis amidst the folds of flesh, only to find it obscured by his burgeoning belly.
Running his hands over his newly acquired features, Agent Lewis felt the stubble of his thickening mustache and the smoothness of his bald scalp. He couldn't help but miss the cascade of hair that used to adorn his head, now lost to him in the transformation. Despite his initial shock and discomfort, a sense of awe crept over him as he marveled at the skill of the doctors and the precision of the procedures that had brought about his drastic metamorphosis.
Embracing his new identity as an Italian mobster, Agent Lewis found himself craving the trappings of power and luxury that came with his new persona. He yearned for the feel of fine silk suits against his skin, the heady aroma of thick cigars wafting through the air, and the sense of authority that came with being a respected member of the criminal underworld.
As Agent Lewis continued to explore his new body, he couldn't help but notice the peculiar sensation of his mustache brushing against his lips with each breath. It had grown so long that it moved rhythmically with his respiration, causing an unusual tickling sensation that he found oddly satisfying. No longer able to breathe through his nose as easily as before, he had become a mouth breather by necessity, the mustache serving as a constant reminder of his altered physiology.
At first, the sensation was disconcerting. The feeling of his own facial hair tickling his lips was foreign and somewhat intrusive. But as he adjusted to this new way of breathing, Agent Lewis began to appreciate the sensation in a different light. It was a reminder of the meticulous attention to detail that had gone into his transformation, from the length of his mustache to the shape of his belly. It was these subtle nuances that would help him blend seamlessly into the world of the Italian mob.
Running his fingers through the length of his mustache, Agent Lewis couldn't help but marvel at its density and texture. It was a far cry from the smooth, clean-shaven look he had been accustomed to, but there was a ruggedness to it that he found appealing. As he experimented with different styles and shapes, he couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in his newfound appearance. He was no longer just Agent Lewis; he was Vinny Capone, a formidable figure in the criminal underworld.
However, amidst the discovery of his new identity, Agent Lewis noticed another sensation stirring within him—a craving for cigars. This was entirely new to him. The thought of the thick, pungent smoke curling around him filled him with an inexplicable desire. It was a craving that seemed to emanate from deep within, urging him to indulge in the vice of his new persona.
Suddenly, the door opened, and his handler, disguised as a mobster, entered the room. "Welcome back, Agent Lewis, or shall I say Vinny Capone," his handler greeted him with a wry smile. "What do you think of your transformation? Let's get you a robe, your glasses, and a mirror. It's time to fully embrace your new persona." With a nod of agreement, Agent Lewis rose from the bed, ready to take on the challenges that lay ahead with his newfound identity as Vinny Capone, and perhaps, a thick cigar in hand.
As Agent Lewis, or rather the persona he was being molded into, Vinny Capone, greeted his handler, a wave of conflicting emotions washed over him. "Did he just call me Vinny Capone?" he thought, a tinge of disbelief coloring his thoughts. "No, I can't be Vinny. I would never have agreed to this."
His handler, sensing his confusion, handed him a robe and explained the situation. "You are Vinny Capone now," his handler said firmly, meeting his gaze with a steady look. "I didn't tell you before because I knew Agent Lewis would never agree to this. But Vinny Capone is a necessary disguise for this mission. You have to become him, live as him, if we're going to take down the mob from the inside."
The weight of his new identity settled heavily on Agent Lewis's shoulders as he processed the revelation. He was being thrust into a role he had never anticipated, a role that went against everything he stood for. But as he looked into his handler's eyes, he knew there was no turning back.
With a silent nod of acceptance, Agent Lewis donned the robe and followed his handler out of the room, his mind racing with the challenges that lay ahead. He may have been unwillingly transformed into Vinny Capone, but he was determined to use this new identity to dismantle the criminal empire from within, even if it meant sacrificing a part of himself in the process.
As Agent Lewis stood up, feeling the weight of his new body pressing down on him, he realized the enormity of the task ahead. Walking when 18 inches shorter, 40 years older, and carrying this much weight was a challenge unlike any he had faced before. But if he was going to live convincingly as Vinny Capone, he knew he had to start studying his movements and mannerisms.
Steadying himself against a nearby surface, Agent Lewis took a moment to accept his new reality. He may have been unwillingly thrust into this role, but he was determined to make the most of it. Unable to speak as his vocal cords continued to heal from the transformation process, he knew that actions would speak louder than words in his new life as Vinny.
As he began to move around the room, he couldn't help but notice the familiarity in his movements. Despite the drastic physical changes, there was a certain fluidity to his motions that felt oddly natural. It was as if his body already knew how to inhabit this new persona, as if Vinny Capone's essence was already coursing through his veins.
With each step, Agent Lewis felt himself growing more accustomed to the weight of his new body. He may have been shorter, older, and heavier than before, but he was determined to make it work. If he was going to convincingly infiltrate the world of organized crime as Vinny Capone, he knew he would have to become him in every sense of the word. And so, with a silent resolve, he set out to master the art of living as someone else, all while plotting to bring down the very man he was now masquerading as.
As Agent Lewis prepared for the next phase of his transformation – memory conversion – he knew that he had to make the most of the time he had left before the procedure. It would take a couple more days before he could undergo the process, and in the meantime, he was determined to master his new body. But he had a growing and increasing craving which he was unable to shake.
Agent Lewis was Spending his days reading everything he could get his hands on about the Italian mob and studying Vinny Capone's mannerisms, Agent Lewis also spent a significant amount of time staring at himself in the mirror. Despite the initial shock, he had grown somewhat accustomed to his short stature, the sensation of his mustache itching his lip (which he oddly loved), and the constant reminder of his large belly.
However, as the days passed, a new sensation began to gnaw at him – the craving for a cigar. It started as a subtle longing, but with each passing hour, it intensified, until his head began to pound with the desire for a smoke. It was a craving that he couldn't ignore, a physical manifestation of the transformation he had undergone and the persona he was now inhabiting.
As he stared at his reflection in the mirror, Agent Lewis knew that he would have to find a way to quell the craving before it consumed him entirely. But for now, he pushed aside his discomfort and focused on the task at hand, determined to master his new body and prepare himself for the challenges that lay ahead in his mission to infiltrate the world of organized crime as Vinny Capone.
Yet, with each passing day, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was becoming more like Vinny. His movements seemed more natural, his thoughts aligning with the mindset of a mob boss. It was as if his body was adapting to the persona he was meant to portray, merging seamlessly with the knowledge he had gained from his research.
Though initially unsettling, Agent Lewis allowed himself to embrace this transformation. He reasoned that it was a combination of his body adjusting to its new form and the extensive preparation he had undertaken. Whatever the reason, he knew that becoming more like Vinny would only serve to further his mission. And so, with a sense of determination and acceptance, he continued to immerse himself in the role, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
As the day of the first memory transfer and brain alteration from Agent Lewis to Vinny approached, Agent Lewis couldn't help but feel a mix of anticipation and apprehension. What would he sound like once the procedure was complete? Would he adopt the accent and diction of Vinny Capone, further solidifying his new identity? These questions swirled in his mind as he prepared himself mentally for the transformation that awaited him.
Meanwhile, a tailor arrived to create custom suits for him, along with hats and walking sticks. Vinny even had custom boxers, a detail that seemed strangely intimate yet necessary for his new persona. As Agent Lewis watched the tailor take measurements and discuss fabric options, he couldn't help but marvel at the attention to detail that went into crafting Vinny's wardrobe. It was another reminder of the immersive nature of his new identity and the lengths to which he was willing to go to maintain his cover.
As the tailor finished his measurements and left to begin work on the suits, Agent Lewis felt a sudden surge of longing for a cigar. It had been building within him for days, a relentless craving that he could no longer ignore. With a sense of urgency, he signaled for a cigar, unable to bear the wait any longer.
When the cigar arrived, it was long, thick, an 8x80. Not sure how Agent Lewis knew that, as he had never smoked a cigar before. Nevertheless, he was given a humidor, with a smile - this was a sign the transition was successful - and lighter. Agent Lewis was not sure how to smoke the cigar; however, his body seemed to know. He surrendered to the body's memory and desire. With practiced ease, he prepared and lit the cigar as if he had smoked them for decades.
His handler, who had been observing the proceedings with keen interest, was thrilled by this development. To him, Agent Lewis signaling for a cigar was a sign of progress, a tangible indication that the transformation was taking hold. It was a sign that the doctors needed to see, proof that their procedures were having the desired effect.
As Agent Lewis accepted the cigar and took the first satisfying puff, he couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction mingled with trepidation. The road ahead was still fraught with uncertainty, but in this moment, he allowed himself to savor the taste of victory, however fleeting it may be. With each puff of the cigar, he felt himself inching closer to becoming the man he was meant to portray – Vinny Capone, Italian mobster extraordinaire.
The day of the brain and memory alterations had finally arrived. As Agent Lewis prepared himself for the procedure, he steeled his resolve, knowing that this would be the final step in his transformation into Vinny Capone. He would receive memories of and from Vinny, allowing him to survive deep undercover, to live, to become him. He was ready.
When he woke from the memory transfer, there was a newfound confidence coursing through him. He felt as though he had lived a lifetime as Vinny, experiencing his triumphs and hardships firsthand. Memories flooded his mind: the warmth of a close Italian family, the ruthless path of becoming a mob boss, the deep-seated hatred for law enforcement, the indulgence in cigars and women, the love for fine clothes, and the allure of money.
But amidst these memories, Agent Lewis still retained a sense of self. He was still inside, a silent observer amidst the torrent of experiences that now defined him as Vinny Capone. It was a conflicting sensation, the clash of two identities vying for dominance within his mind. Yet, he knew that in time, the two sets of memories would merge and coalesce, creating a seamless tapestry of his new identity.
As he spoke for the first time since his transformation, Agent Lewis marveled at the sound of his own voice. It carried the accent and diction of Vinny, a testament to the success of the memory transfer. There was a shock in hearing himself speak in this new voice, yet there was also a strange comfort in it, as if he had always been meant to sound this way. Vinny had a unique diction and lisp, and Agent Lewis found himself replicating it flawlessly. "How did they do this?" he wondered, astounded by the precision of the alterations made to his mind and voice.
Moreover, he noticed that he was beginning to think in Italian. Vinny's language and mannerisms were becoming second nature to him, blending seamlessly with his own thoughts. It was as if he was truly becoming Vinny Capone in every sense of the word. With a mixture of awe and trepidation, Agent Lewis embraced his new identity, ready to embark on the mission that awaited him as the Italian mob boss, Vinny Capone.
As Agent Lewis awaited the final memory transfer that would complete his transformation into Vinny Capone, he found himself surrounded by the trappings of his new identity. His new suits had arrived, along with a motherlode box of cigars. He had already indulged in all of the previous cigars, despite never having smoked one before. Yet, it felt strangely natural for him, as if the act of smoking a cigar was encoded in his very being.

Former London gangster-turned-actor
has died aged 64.
Courtney, who claimed to be an associate of the notorious Kray twins, was found dead at his home on Chestnut Rise, Plumstead, in the early hours of Sunday.
A post announcing his death on his Instagram account said Courtney "took his own life".
It said: "It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dave Courtney at the age of 64."
In a statement, Courtney's family said he lived "an incredible, colourful rock 'n' roll life in which he touched the hearts of so many".
"The physical pain of living the lifestyle he chose, especially due to the pain of both cancer and arthritis in his later years, became too much," his family added.
Courtney was rumoured to be the inspiration behind Vinnie Jones's character "Big Chris" in Guy Ritchie's gangster film Lock, Stock, And Two Smoking Barrels.
He swapped his life of crime to become an author and actor, publishing six books, and starring in a film called Hell To Pay.
"I may have been a bit naughty when I was a young man," Courtney told BBC London last year.
"The word gangster is a very historical word. It's a romantic figure of the past, gangsters, like knights in shining armour, cowboys, pirates, gangsters.
"Today definitely is not the time to try and be a gangster... you're trying to beat technology and you can't do that."
Courtney told BBC London he had a mural painted on the side of his house that depicted the Kray twins, Lenny McLean, Joey Pyle, Charlie Richardson, Ronnie Biggs, John Gotti, Roy Shaw, Freddie Foreman, Howard Marks and Al Capone.
"And I'm stuck right in the middle of it, me and a bunch of mates," he said.
In his final Facebook post, Courtney could be seen watching Charlton Athletic win 4-0 against Reading on Saturday.
The Met Police said officers attended an address on Chestnut Rise at about 11:25 BST following reports of a man found deceased.
A 64-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, the force said.
His family has been informed.
Formal identification has not taken place, and the death is being treated as unexpected and is under investigation, the Met said.
No arrests have been made.

Stuck On Her - chapter five
Romance is something that flooded the museum.
Everyone seemed to be in relationships.
Jed and Octavius were going strong.
Ahk was dating some new exhibit named Akim.
Attila had fallen in love with one of his other fellow Huns.
Larry had told them about how he was seeing some guy named Vinny. He also told them about how Rebecca was doing alright and she had a girlfriend.
Even Teddy had found some-else.
Sacagawea felt happy for her friends, but she couldn't help feeling lonely.
She still dreamed of Amelia...so this obsession of hers wasn't going away anytime soon.
Larry had quit his teaching job, finding himself back at the museum, and telling them that he just couldn't stay away for that long.
Larry had all pulled them aside one night. "We're getting some new exhibits. So be on your best behavior."
Jed smiled, his hand in Octavius's. "We sure can do that gigantor."
Ahk said, "It'll be great to have some fresh new faces around here…especially if there's some girls…" he glanced toward Sacagawea, who was hanging her head, "for Wea's case of course."
Larry smiled. "Yes. There should be a least one girl. I'm sure of it."
That made Wea slightly perk up.
Jed looked up at Sacagawea. "You hear that, Wea? You might get a girlfriend!"
Sacagawea smiled faintly as Larry continued on.
-
Sacagawea found herself heading back to her exhibit site, hopeful.
-
The next night had rolled around.
Ahk peeked his head into the room that Wea was in. "Wea, you might want to come out to meet the new exhibits."
Sacagawea stood up and followed Ahk.
There were plenty of new exhibits.
Most of them she didn't know.
Two of them she recognized immediately--holding hands were Al Capone and Ivan the Terrible.
Sacagawea began to let her eyes scan the room. Then her eyes fell upon a familiar face. Wea's frown morphed into a soft smile.
"Long time no see, kiddo."

Ruining KISStory: The False King of Persia, Pt. 1
Oh my, what could this be? Why, it’s another Ruining KISStory installment! I am officially back home for the rest of the semester, so I decided, what the hell, and finished this up for y’all! This has to be the most hilarious episode, and it’s also my absolute favorite, so prepare thyselves! Part 2 will be posted shortly! Hope you enjoooooy!!!
Tag list: @cosmicrealmofkissteria @ashestoashesvvi @kategwidt @retronova
[camera opens on Paul, who is sitting at a panel. A map of the world is hung up behind him. The sound of tuning violins plays in the background]
PAUL: Welcome to Ruining History! Today we’re gonna talk about the ascension of Darius the Great.
[camera pans out to the full panel. From left to right: Vinnie, Gene, Paul, Bruce, Ace]
BRUCE: Darius?
PAUL: Darius.
BRUCE: That’s a kinda modern name. I know like five Dariuses.
PAUL: Well, maybe they were inspired by this guy.
BRUCE: [shrugs] All of ‘em are pretty average. [panel laughs]
[intro and title card]
[cuts back to panel]
PAUL: You guys know anything about Darius?
BRUCE: He’s a bass player.
PAUL: [laughs slightly] Heh, no, I mean Darius the Great.
ACE: He’s a bassist and he owes me 40 bucks. [Bruce laughs]
PAUL: He was a Persian king; he was known for uniting the Persian Empire. He’s actually thought to be the greatest Persian king. Also, I should say now: this story is not really about Darius much at all, so much as the weird chain of events that led to him becoming king.
GENE: [seriously] Is Al Capone a part of this story at all?
PAUL: [snorts] Pfft, no, Gene. This is in ancient Persia. There are a lot of characters in this one, so I decided to make models as little visual aids. [reaches under the table and takes out a small figurine labeled CYRUS THE GREAT] Now we’re gonna start with this guy, named Cyrus.
ACE: Oh, that’s a kid on Andi Mack!... Not that I watch.
[screen cuts away to a title card:
CHAPTER I:
A DEAD GUY AND HIS TWO WEIRD SONS
screen then cuts to animations as Paul narrates, while traditional Middle Eastern music plays]
PAUL [voiceover]: First, there was Cyrus the Great, founder of the Achaemenian Empire, which was sort of in this region here, in Turkey, the Middle East, and spilling into Asia. Kind of a big deal. Darius just so happened to be a distant relative of Cyrus, but the king didn’t seem to care for him. As legend tells, he had a dream about the twenty-year-old Darius, in which Darius had, quote, “wings on his shoulders, the one wing overshadowing Asia and the other Europe.” Cyrus interpreted this as a sign that Darius was plotting against him.
ACE: Pretty sure every ex-girlfriend I’ve had…
BRUCE: [nods] Yeah…
ACE: … has gotten pissed at me for doin’ something bad in a dream.
GENE: [nods] I remember that happened with Shannon once.
VINNIE: Is this the time where she banished you to the couch? [Ace laughs]
GENE: [frowns] No, that was something else.
BRUCE: Can I just say, both Cyrus and Darius look like they belong in that one Lloyd-Webber musical.
PAUL: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat?
BRUCE: Yeah, that one.
PAUL [voiceover]: But it wouldn’t really matter what Darius thought, because he was caught up in a conflict with Tomyris, the queen of the Massagetae. And after she slayed him in battle, what she did is, according to some accounts, cut his head off, then dunked it into a skin of blood like a gory Oreo, stating, “I make good my threat, and give you your fill of blood.” So… that’s it for Cyrus.
ACE: Damn!
BRUCE: What’s a skin full of blood?
PAUL: It’s like a wineskin, but with blood.
GENE and VINNIE: Ohhh.
PAUL: [picks up the Cyrus figurine] So that’s— [pulls off Cyrus’s head] —the end for Cyrus.
ACE: Oof, it came right off!
PAUL [voiceover]: Now Cyrus had two sons, Cambyses and Smerdis. Cambyses was described as, quote, “an ardent, impetuous, and self-willed boy, such as the sons of rich and powerful men are apt to become.” And Smerdis was described as… I dunno. His brother.
ACE: [bursts out laughing, as does Vinnie]
PAUL: [takes out figurines labeled CAMBYSES AND SMERDIS] So we got this guy, [holds up Cambyses] Cambyses, who’s got sort of a superior look. And Smerdis, [holds up Smerdis] who’s just sorta chill.
ACE: Me Smerdis! [panel laughs] Kinda got a Charlie Brown sorta tunic on.
PAUL: Yeah, he does. [moves Cambyses and Smerdis to be on either side of the headless Cyrus figurines] I’ll put them here with their dad.
GENE: “Oh, Papa’s head’s missing! Ha ha ha ha!”
PAUL [voiceover]: Being Cyrus’s firstborn son, Cambyses inherited the throne, and very quickly decided to invade Egypt. This made people think he was crazy; and honestly, it’s kinda fair, because he was a bit of a reckless guy. While in Egypt, for example, he asked to see their sacred bull… and then he stabbed it to death.
ACE: [bursts out laughing]
BRUCE: [laughing] Oh my god… Jesus…
ACE: That’s so funny.
VINNIE: Kind of rude. Ancient Egyptians didn’t deserve that.
PAUL: Yeah, it is rude. You show up, ask to see their sacred bull…
ACE [tapping the table] “Can I see your sacred buuuuull? I promise I won’t touch it!”
VINNIE: It would take a long time to stab a bull to death, so I bet they were just like, “Please stop stabbing our bull…”
BRUCE: [laughs] Yeah, and he’s just staring them in the eye and just— [pretends to stab. Gene laughs]
PAUL [voiceover]: Cambyses was also known for his fits of blinding rage and making rash decisions that he would later regret. Take for example, the story of Croesus. Croesus had been a close friend and counselor to Cyrus, who asked him to watch over Cambyses. With that in mind, one day Croesus decided to offer Cambyses some constructive criticism. He warned the king that he’d been treating his men cruelly. Annnnd you can probably guess what was bound to happen to him.
GENE: How so? How was he treating them cruelly?
PAUL: He was known for being really reckless. There’s one story where a guy told Cambyses that he thought he drank too much…
GENE: I’m sure it didn’t end well for that guy.
PAUL: And Cambyses went, “Okay, if that’s true, I shouldn’t be able to shoot a bow.” So he called the man’s son in, and had him stand against the wall, and he said, “If I drink too much, then I’ll probably miss this shot.” And then he shot the man’s son in the heart.
GENE: Oh…
VINNIE: The man’s son?
PAUL: Uh huh.
GENE: Oof… that’s way worse than what I was imagining. I was just imagining him being a bratty dick or something. But no, that’s worse.
PAUL: Yep.
ACE: Maybe he was aimin’ for the face, an’ he really was too drunk. [Bruce laughs]
VINNIE: [laughs] “Oh, I just meant to take out an eye.”
ACE: “Aw man, did you guys see that?!”
GENE: Or he had to play it off like that was his plan all along.
ACE: Wakes up the next morning an’ he’s like [rubs his eyes with his hands] “Ugggh, what did I do last night?” [panel laughs] “Tell me I didn’t murder anyone’s kid.”
PAUL [voiceover]: Anyway, Croesus warned the king that he’d been treating his men cruelly, and that it wasn’t a great way to keep their loyalty. Cambyses responded by telling the supportive old man that he’d always hated him. He pulled out a bow and arrow, and Croesus fled the scene.
VINNIE: Does he just have a bow and arrow on him at all times?
BRUCE: [laughing] He takes out his bow and arrow; “Where’s your son, man?” [panel laughs]
GENE: Love how this guy knew what was coming and was like, “Aw shit, it’s heart-shootin’ time! I’m gettin’ outta here!”
PAUL [voiceover]: Cambyses ordered his officers to chase after the man and kill him. They did chase after him, but knowing the mad king would likely regret having his friend killed, they instead hid Croesus away. A few days later, when, as expected, Cambyses expressed remorse over his actions, his men revealed that—surprise! Croesus was still alive! Cambyses was overjoyed. He then had those guards executed for disobeying him.
[whole panel bursts out laughing]
BRUCE: Jesus Christ!
GENE: What the fuck…
VINNIE: Literally killing the messenger!
ACE: “You’ve brought me such joy… Where’s my bow and arrow?” [panel laughs]
BRUCE: “Bring me my bow and your sons.”
PAUL [voiceover]: Anyway, back to the story. Cambyses decided to bring his brother, Smerdis, along with him to Egypt. It’s thought that Cambyses was jealous of Smerdis, and worried that if he left him alone in Persia, he might stage a coup and seize a throne. Since both brothers were away from their hometown, Cambyses left a magian in charge of keeping an eye on his palace. Magians were basically just a priestly class.
PAUL: I’ve actually got a big Persia set. [takes out a cardboard set that looks like a Persian castle]
VINNIE: Oooh, nice.
PAUL: Thank you. [takes out a figurine labeled MAGIAN and puts it in front of the Persia set]
BRUCE: Wait, so Cambyses is worried that his brother’s gonna seize the throne… so he prevents this by giving the throne to a stranger?
PAUL: I mean, I assume it was someone he trusted.
GENE: Why does—Why does the magian have red eyes? Is that a—artistic thing?
PAUL: He’s a spooky magician.
GENE: Okay.
ACE: [giggling] Or he’s just high as fuck.
GENE: [snickering] So in his free time, he’s a pothead magician.
BRUCE: All magicians are potheads.
ACE: I dunno, I always thought magicians were more cocaine guys.
PAUL: [thinks and nods] Yeah, I guess that makes sense. They’re got a lot of energy.
GENE: Not David Blaine.
ACE: Ah, yeah, that’s true.
GENE: No one’s ever had to tell David Blaine to calm down.
PAUL [voiceover]: Meanwhile, in Egypt: Cambyses had a troubling dream about Smerdis, in which he saw his brother, quote, “seated on a royal throne in Persia, his form expanded supernaturally to such a prodigious size that he touched the heavens with his head.” Fed up with Smerdis, he ordered him to skedaddle back to Persia. And then he seemed to remember why he was concerned about Smerdis being alone in Persia in the first place. So, he called upon one of his men, Prexaspes
[panel ooohs as Paul takes out a figurine labeled PREXASPES]
BRUCE: Oh wow, I didn’t know we had a stylist here!
VINNIE: That’s a great robe he’s got!
PAUL: [looks at the camera] Full disclosure: none of these drawings are historically accurate.
BRUCE: [looks at the camera] All of these drawings are historically accurate.
ACE: They might be. Prove ‘im wrong.
PAUL: Prove me wrong!
PAUL [voiceover]: Cambyses called upon one of his men, Prexaspes, to track down Smerdis and secretly assassinate him. Prexaspes would do so, and he succeeded. He returned to the king and gave him the good news: Smerdis, his one serious threat to his power, was now dead.
PAUL: Also, [laughs] I don’t know where this fits in the story, but Prexaspes was the guy whose son was killed by Cambyses.
ACE: No way?! [bursts out laughing as the rest of the panel laughs]
GENE: That’s hilarious!
VINNIE: Also [giggles] the name Prexaspes sounds like a medication of some kind.
ACE: [laughs] “Ask your doctor if Prexaspes is right for you.”
PAUL [voiceover]: Shortly after, though, Cambyses would receive more news, some rather shocking news given the circumstances. In his absence, his throne had been taken… by SMERDIS?! Yep, by Smerdis.
ACE: [looks comically shocked] The dead Smerdis?!
BRUCE: Oh shit!
PAUL: So we know have this mysterious Smerdis. [takes out a figurine identical to the Smerdis figure, except it is labeled SMERDIS(?)]
ACE: So someone,, posing as Smerdis… See this is why people get verified on Twitter.
BRUCE: [laughs and nods] I mean, yeah, you’ve got a point. [to Paul] You should put a blue check mark over the real Smerdis.
PAUL: [grins and points his finger at the Smerdis figurine. A blue Twitter checkmark appears on the head as well as a text box that says VERIFIED]
GENE: Wait a minute, did he ever consider that the guy lied about what he did?
PAUL: No, he trusts that guy.
GENE: I just think it’s odd that he immediately thinks its an imposter, instead of thinking the guy was lying.
[screen cuts away to a title card:
CHAPTER II:
TO BE SMERDIS OR NOT TO BE SMERDIS
screen then cuts to animations as Paul narrates]
PAUL [voiceover]: Cambyses was, at first, greatly confuzzled by this recent development. Until someone reminded him of an important little detail, that made it clear to him that this must have been a power grab by an opportunistic usurper. I’m gonna leave that detail a mystery for now so that you continue to watch this video…
GENE: How does no one in the kingdom know this isn’t the real Smerdis?
BRUCE: It’s the beards, man. [Ace and Vinnie laugh]
GENE: Are you sure? I feel like…
BRUCE: Nah, man, everyone’s got a beard, ya can’t tell anyone apart.
ACE: “Alright, if you’re Smerdis, what did I give you for your birthday last year?” “An urn.” “Damn, it is Smerdis!”
To be continued in Part 2!
#kiss unsolved#ruining kisstory#yeah I had to split it up into chunks this time#again#hey ryan and shane stop making your videos so dang long#i'm trying to adapt them here#anyway...#hope you enjoyed part 1!#that twist tho lol#well if you wanna know what happens you're just gonna have to read part 2 lol#that's kind of why I decided to cut it off here#also the bow and arrow running gag is hands down my favorite part of this whole thing XD#kiss au writing#my writing#thanks for reading!#stay tuned for part two!

The Complete(ly Truncated) History of Last Days of August
The formation of Last Days of August occurred approximately 25 years ago. I don’t remember many of the specifics myself, so I took to the internet to refresh my memory.
From our “official” Fadeaway Records bio:
Formed…when guitarists Josh Chaplinsky and Phil Capone were looking to find a way to vent their rockstar tendencies, Last Days of August started playing all over the United States before the people in their home scene even had a chance to bitch about them.
Hahahahaha. No offense to the author, Nicole Keiper, who was only working with the information the band gave her.
From The Long Island Music Scene Wiki:
Last Days of August was started when Josh Chaplinsky left Irony of Lightfoot and met Phil Capone. Capone was friends with Inside and Glassjaw and wanted to play in a band as well. Corey Martin, a drummer that was formerly in Irony of Lightfoot was brought in by Chaplinsky and Mario Leston, a bassist was also brought in. Sal Montemaggiore joined as a singer.
So it seems we formed by “meeting” and wanting to be in a band. Pretty standard stuff.
And finally, from an article in the short lived Long Island Voice, titled “Don’t Hate Me ‘Cause I’m Emo” (which we all hated, but couldn’t blame on anyone else, because it was just us contradicting one another):
Formed after Capone and Chaplinsky met up at Nassau Community College…
If I remember correctly, despite what these sources say, Phil was the 2nd to last piece of the puzzle to fall into place. I had been playing with bassist Mario Leston, and original drummer Corey Martin had pledged his support (he played drums in pretty much every band in the town I lived in at the time). Phil joined, and Phil knew Sal. That was that.
I did speak to Phil, though, and he confirmed our meeting at NCC. So I guess that’s canon.
Fun fact: Mario, Corey and I had one “practice” with Vinnie Corrigan, guitarist of the band Inside, on vocals. It consisted of us playing a half-written song with Vinnie singing directly into my ear, because we didn’t have a PA. Parts of that song would eventually become “Carousel/s”. We called the project Pretty Vinnie Band — although I believe someone suggested the name Narnia — but that was as far as it went.
And that pretty much covers our humble beginnings. Which leaves the question, how the hell did it all end?
From The Long Island Music Scene Wiki, which seems to have the inside scoop:
The band split up in 2000, unable to agree on success and what its definition was. Chaplinsky and Capone also disagreed on what direction to go in—Capone wanted to play poppy melodic punk rock and Chaplinsky favored melodramatic music ala Radiohead.
Hahaha. I mean, I guess that was part of it? It’s as good a story as any, since there isn’t really an official story to our breakup. Like so many other bands, we just couldn’t keep it together. The wiki also says Phil went on to form a sleaze rock band, which is pretty funny, and 100% true.
The usual nonsense aside, there was a lot of awesomeness packed into those few years.
Last Days of August would like to thank all the bands we played with, the people who helped us book shows, gave us places to stay, bought our merch, and sang along. A lot of the specifics are lost to time, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t appreciative. Top of that list is Charles Murphy/Eudora Records/Beginners Tapes, and the band Hamilton. Also, Spread the Disease (yes, one of our tours was with a Canadian grindcore band). Neil Rubenstein for hooking us up with said Canadians and helping us book shows. Mike Dubin and Fadeaway Records, of course. Thanks to all the parents who let us practice in their homes. Joe Corbo for taking over behind the kit. I’m sure there are plenty of people I’m forgetting. Needless to say, we love you all. Thank you for listening.
- Joshua Chaplinsky, December 2021

Want to read something to get your mind off the election? “The Eve Chronicles” won’t disappoint you.
The paperback book “The Eve Chronicles” by Diane DeVillers contains three books. The first one is "From the Waters of Coyote Springs" The book begins when Eve first moves to Oregon to work as a timber cruiser doing forest inventory for the Forest Service in the Wallowa Mountains. A very strong female who soon earns the nickname "Queen of the Comeback" from the men in the crew who constantly tease her. It only makes her stronger. Eve is a counterculture, strong-willed woman who knows her own mind but is still searching for her place in the world.
The second book is "Felix and Eve" about a caregiver who spends the summer with a cranky elderly man who needs a live-in caregiver after having heart bypass surgery. Felix comes to trust her and every night when they play cards, he starts to tell her stories about his life when he worked for the notorious Al Capone at the height of prohibition.
The 3rd book, “The Arrangement” is about Eve a retired baby boomer who owns property on Moon Mountain in the eclectic town of Eugene in the Willamette Valley. Vinnie lives in a yurt at the back of her property and he is in love with Eve but remains silent. Every year Eve gets the same letter with the same skeleton key in it. She goes to spend the summer with a former lover. This special arrangement has worked for 15 years. But when Eve makes a discovery it changes her

I made a side blog where I’ll be logging my transition (while typing like a pirate). If you’re also transitioning, or not transitioning, or are part of the LGBT community, then give me a follow.
It’s not only my transition blog, but I’ll be more personal on that blog, not just with dealing with new bodily changes and hormones, but maybe just thoughts in general about myself and more intimate thoughts and observations that I wouldn’t share on my main.
I’m just trying to keep this off my main blog since this blog is for my art, fandom, and memes. Gotta keep it light around here, folks.

Manuel Luciano Javachi
Twenty-three years old - “They’ve lost their marbles” is a term people use to describe someone who is unstable, crazy even. But Manuel’s marbles are, so to speak, loaded into a gun like Russian roulette. One day you may feel your heart pumping loudly in your ears, but you’ll be safe. However, the next day will creep up on you and your luck will run out.
People assume that the war changed Manuel and in a way it did. Before WWII, Manuel resided in Florence, Italy with his mother and father and lived the life of a normal Italian boy. Or at least as normal as a child can be in a family secretly involved in the drug trade. Instead of learning about literature or science, Manuel was sitting in on meetings and observing the customs of the underground world. The third generation of the Javachi family, Manuel was taught at a young age how to be the man he is today. He was taught verbally sometimes, and other times physically. Since the justice system kept a watchful eye on the underground world, there was no room for mistakes. With every mistake, Manuel had to learn, and every time he had to learn to never make that error again from his mother and father, Manuel lost a marble.
Thus, Manuel is nothing short of a perfectionist. He needs for everything to go the way he sees it in his head or else it’s not right. If an action or a bust isn’t thought out carefully, then Manuel will choose another approach. He’s a very analytical person and his demeanor can prove to be intimidating without him saying much. That’s how it is with Manuel, though. He expects for people to meet his expectations without him mentioning anything to him, for if he does then you don’t know what to expect from him.
Lily Annamarie Capone-Javachi
Twenty-three years old - Lily was born in New York and is the daughter of the infamous Al Capone. Her childhood was unconventional, to say the least, but she never let her father’s lifestyle distinguish her own personality. Lily doesn’t have a selfish bone in her body and her level of compassion for others would usually be seen as a weakness, but she doesn’t let her kindness overshadow her rationality. She tries her best to make sure that her family can still experience the joy’s of life that doesn’t involve guns or violence, but she’s not against holding someone at gunpoint if they threaten the people she loves.
Tony Angelo Javachi
Twenty-four years old - Loyalty. Tony considers loyalty to be one of the most valuable things that can someone can give you. The brother of Manuel, ever since they were children, Tony and Manuel have been inseparable. Ever since their promise to each other to always stay together, wherever Tony goes, Manuel goes, and vice versa. When the military needed soldiers for WWII, and Manuel told Tony that he wanted to go, Tony signed up both of their names. As a child, Tony was taught by their father to “never create any form of a bond with someone because the only person that you can trust is yourself”. So, he adopted this and never lowered his guard for anyone. He’s always seen the world as a place where you have to continue to survive by any means necessary, with no regards to the lives of other people outside of his family. He’s very blunt when it comes to giving people his honest judgment of them, or when he expresses his thoughts about something.
Aurora Beatrice Javachi
Twenty-years old - Aurora has never communicated with anyone other than her family or has been outside of the house since she was born. Crippled with a condition where her body can’t regulate its average temperature, Aurora is unable to leave the house, for her family fears too much exertion will cause for her to overheat too quickly. So, Aurora’s days are planned out for her and that’s just how its always been. Of course, she is aware of the business her family is in but she never sees any of it. She spends every second of the day inside of the house but yet she still doesn’t know what goes on inside of the Javachi estate.
Very well-mannered and poise, Aurora is the princess of the family. The family watches their tone around her because they see her as “fragile”, so she’s learned to use that to her advantage. She’s a mischevious little one and over the years she’s mastered the art of pranks and misdoings.
Sonny Ambrosio Javachi
Twenty-one years old - Sonny has never shown much emotion even when she was younger. While the rest of her siblings traveled to the States to get away from their home, Sonny remained at the Javachi home in Italy underneath Mother Javachi’s wing. Regardless of Sonny being her granddaughter, Mother Javachi did not show any mercy while training Sonny. Since birth Sonny has always been quiet, but as her grandmother trained her Sonny silence changed from innocence to a more ominous feel. Which is expected when your grandmother has you training days on end and even harsher consequences if you do not meet her standards. Sonny has plenty of scars of times during her training where she learned the consequences of making a mistake. Like the scar that runs across her back that she earned herself after making the mistake of underestimating the number of weapons, her grandma had concealed.
No one really knows what’s going on inside of her head. Other than being a Javachi, Sonny is infamous for the way that she handles her victims. Whether she’s killing for the family or for her own pleasure, Sonny seems to always know the best way to target someone. Most victims see a glimpse of her and then realize that they’re next on her list. Everything that she does is fluid and thought out because even years later after she has left the care of her grandmother, the fear of making a mistake is still stitched into her mind.
Vincent “Vinny” Javachi
Twenty-one years old - “Oh you got something to say?” Vincent Javachi is a loud and naive young boy that is about as reckless as they come. If someone says that he can’t do something Vinny would work to prove them wrong no matter what. The second youngest out of the siblings, Vincent has always had to try harder than his other siblings because he lacks what they were born with: intellectual and physical strength. Vinny is smart, don’t get me wrong, but 99% of the time he’s way in over his head. He has a small frame but that doesn’t stop him from picking a fight with the biggest guy.
In fact, the bigger the better. There has been plenty of times where Vinny has gone home with a busted lip or a black eye but his response is always “Ha, you should’ve seen the other guy.” He never exaggerates the build of his opponents, however, because most of the time they really are guys with tattoos all over their faces nad muscles bigger than Binny’s head. But oh, don’t let Vinny hear someone bad-mouthing the family.
