If it's not too spoiler-y, why does JungleClan live in such harsh environment? Is it ancestral land, were they driven from a previous territory, or something else?

There are definitely some things that are a BIT spoiler-y but I'll give ya the basic gist! The reason for Jungleclans environment is a mix of necessity and pride.

JungleClan and it's surrounding clans live on a tropical island, so they're confined to their territories by geography and adaptation.

Fuzzclan inhabits the wetland part of the island, and so they're adept swimmers, fishers, and worry primarily about water predators.

Vineclan inhabits the seaside cliffs of the island, above the reach of most larger predators. They're adept climbers, and worry primarily about falling and being picked off by birds.

Dahliaclan inhabits the grassland/no-canopy part of the island, and are adept runners, without as many places to hide from predators.

Jungleclan, as the name suggests, inhabits the jungle at the heart of the island, and for the most part, that's completely by choice. It's definitely an ancestral home, but held on to by pride and a "I can survive in the jungle just WATCH me" attitude.

In general, it would be difficult for a cat to switch clans or territories, due to the completely different set of skills required to survive in each one. Jungleclan definitely drew the short straw though...

the beginning: clan name

good evening y'all! I've been inspired to do my own little thing after watching multiple other comics based on clangen. this one will be a cooperative effort, with many (not all) choices being made by the viewers. I'll work more on making the blog pretty later, but let's get a first poll started, shall we?

what's it about?

the roleplay is called the scattered salvation, and is based on two clans and a rogue group; frostclan, marshclan, and the thorned ones.

frostclan resides in the snowy mountains, as marshclan lives in the deep, muddy terrain. the thorned ones are a group of rogues that once resided

in the clan 'vineclan'. vineclan was once a thriving clan that lived in the jungle. their leader, lionstar, was wise and soft-spoken, often referred to as

one of the most influential leaders ever known. this was until lionstar mysteriously passed away due to an unforeseen illness, and a sleek, black cat with a gruesome scar appeared;

mortis.

formally referred to as 'raven'throat,' mortis had turned away from his clan name claiming that 'the dark forest had told him so,' and that 'the clans prevent free will, leaders just

want to control you.' hearing this, mortis had spread this to the other clan members, causing confusion and rage. so when lionstar had died, many cats were enthusiastic,

ecstatic of their freedom. while the other cats were distraught, believing those cats were responsible for their leaders death. this caused a war inside the clan, resulting in no cat except for

a few to survive. they were not mortis' followers, as they didn't want to be referred to as that. they were referred to as his supporters.

after the genocide of vineclan, these cats continued to go to other clans, spreading their misinformation and destruction while gaining more supporters.

these cats are relentless, cold-blooded murders who're now knocking on frostclans and marshclans doors.

there is a lot more lore that'll be fully posted on the discord server.

New Warriors ocs just dropped! They’re divorced!

+ the rough story idea.

These clans are set in the south east US area specifically based on my state, SC. Rustclan is a overgrown abandoned scrapyard in the woods and Vineclan is in a huge kudzu patch. The other clans are Cypressclan which is within a swamp, and Shoreclan which is in a rocky beach area connected to the forest next to a old abandoned lighthouse. Their gathering spot is a like the Angel tree, and the place they meet with starclan is a inside a abandoned church where all that’s really left is the pillars. They touch noses with a old broken stained glass window that reflects all kinds of colors when the moon hits it. During leader ceremonies it shines 9 colors that represent each life.

when I was in elementary school I was obsessed with warrior cats and had my own original clan it was called vineclan because they could climb vines

In the lush territory of Vineclan, three apprentices learn to grow into their roles in life, with tons of inconsistencies and pretty drama, will Patchpaw, Darkpaw, and Violetpaw be something great, or the equievelent of an Arc 1 elder?

VERY interesting development in VineClan:

the starter leader, Swanstar (a blue-ginger tortie) passed away finally and her deputy, Daywhisker, was made deputy.

Daystar chose the PERSON HE HATES THE MOST STRONGLY in the clan, adoptive child of Swanstar...... to be his deputy. which?? hm.

also I'm kind of in love with Daystar. he lost 3 of the people closest to him within moons (his first mate, second mate, and the elderly medicine cat), is constantly feeling overworked, has to deal with his mate disabled, Magpieshell, being constantly sick and injured (even getting sick immediately after delivering a kitten), and lost his apprentice to a human trap. but he's still kicking and bold and he's terrified of calling his first ever clan meeting but he's doing it anyway.

Rainpaw, CoveClan apprentice, my boy, he doesn't deserve this.

He develops PTSD after a deadly border skirmish with VineClan, and comes back dedicating himself to being a pacifist. He even looks into becoming a medicine cat.
