AKA CicadaClan's #1 dark forest murderer gets screamed at by his ex-mate for killing said ex-mate's closest friend and then lying about it for the rest of their lives! Poor Spotears only found out his husband was a murderer when he died himself and met up with his bestie to learn the truth!

Perchgale - warrior - joined moon 9.

Thymepaw and Sappaw - females - Vinewhisper brought them on moon six, during leaf fall.

The kits

Shadowkit - was found by mothdapple on her last moon of being a apprentice, moon 10. He was 4 moons old. He was named after a shadow due to his constant presence round the cat who found him Mothpaw/dapple.

Fogseeker found a large litter of kits with their deceased mother. During winter

The current leader (not part of the family) is Moonstar, who has failing eyesight

Aspenspeck became deputy, got lost, then became deputy again

Bluespeck gave Bluejaw his leaf accessory :)

Ghostsky + Ploverclaw are spitting images of their father

Lots of cats fell in love with Fallingpelt + Branchdusk, but neither of them took a mate

Eldersplash has mentored 4 medicine cats (so far!)

here's our all our founders and a little bit about them!

rockstar is the leader of cicadaclan. he has a bad habit of isolating himself and he feels stressed about being a leader considering how young he is, but he's doing his best. he's also mates with molestep

havenfoot is the deputy of cicadaclan. she's well liked by the clan because of how organized and put together she is. rockstar is very grateful for her help. she has a close connection to starclan and she's also mates with hornetmask

hornetmask is cicadaclan's medicine cat. he is very passionate about his job and very loyal to starclan. he has visions frequently, but one has been bothering him lately. he's also mates with havenfoot

beetledapple is a fierce and well respected warrior of cicadaclan. she's very popular in the clan although she doesn't really like the attention and prefers to be alone. if she does warm up to you though, she's a great storyteller

woodhaze is a warrior of cicadaclan. she's a very kind and empathetic cat, making her good at negotiating with others. she's always wanted to be mentor and likes working with kits

molestep is a warrior of cicadaclan. he's very curious, adventurous, and loves to explore. molestep is very extroverted and is good at talking to others. he's also a bit naive and tends to get in over his head. he's mates with rockstar

spiderfeather is an elder of cicadaclan. she's a little mischievous and likes to help the kits pull pranks on the warriors. overall though she's a good cat and help mediate arguments

tricklekit is a kit of cicadaclan. she thinks beetledapple is really cool and wants to be like her when she grows up. she's confident and loud and wants to be a warrior more than anything (just realized i forgot the stripe on her back :( i'll fix that when she's an apprentice)

serpentkit is a kit of cicadaclan. she likes to be alone and is a little snappy and picky about small things. she mostly just likes to sleep all day

mothkit is a kit of cicadaclan. most of the clan finds her very delightful and she hopes to become a warrior when she grows up. her favorite activity right now is hunting moss-balls

and that's everyone! i'm kinda wishing i chose less cats but i am attached . it's too late .

Overall

There were four Clans in the old territory; MooseClan, SunClan, RainClan and MapleClan. When a forest fire wrecked and ruined MooseClan’s territory, they were forced to flee. 

They fled to the docks where they met a cat named Goose, who explained his home on the ship. He led them aboard.

It took 6 moons for them to travel from their old home to their new one, and then they had to trek to find a place to live.

During the travels, cats died and cats joined

When they arrived at their new territory, a vision from StarClan informed that they needed to split into four separate Clans; MooseClan, TulipClan, CicadaClan and FinchClan. 

Moonstar

Confident and formidable fighter

He’s always trying his best for his Clan and would die for them. He’s also super confident so if he ever needs to defend his clanmates, he will gladly do so.

He was taught by Tornstar.

Born to Sunheart and Firefern who died when he was 23 moons old. He had two siblings.

After Willowlark’s death, Tornstar placed Moontuft in charge. 

Moonstar led his Clanmates from the docks in Canada into Yukon territory. 

Sneezeleaf

Shameless and formidable fighter

She was originally a loner back in the old territory but joined when she was 8 moons old and started training as a warrior.

Sneezeleaf is a clever kind of cat, and very wise. 

She’s protective of her Clanmates and always makes sure they are all ok.

Sneezeleaf evacuated most of the cats from the fire when the deputy at the time - Willowlark - was killed.

Ghostice

Childish, natural intuition and ghost intuition

Ghostice was a loner in Canada and met the Clan cats when they arrived. Ghostice is a very skilled Medicine Cat.

He often plays pranks on various cats and is a very silly guy. 

He’s also quite positive.

Ghostice often sees glimmers of cats’ ghosts and in his dreams he often sees the ghosts of passed cats. 

He received a vision when they arrived that the cats were destined to split into four, and had to tell everyone about it.

Pineskip

Compassionate, unnatural senses and valuable insight

Pineskip was a kittypet aboard the ship they caught, named Pine. She was a very peaceful cat, and loved the Clan dearly, so she left with them.

Pineskip is a very skilled mediator because she is so kind and has good insight, and even before joining the Clan she was known as a mediating cat.

She occasionally misses her Twoleg, but is glad she joined MooseClan. He never put a collar on her or gave her kibble, but let her sleep in his cabin at night.

Lynxtuft

Righteous, good story-teller and great kitsitter

Lynxtuft was a friend of Goose’s and a sailor cat who caught rats and mice on the ship, originally named Lynx. Lynx wasn’t born on the ship though, and is a very wild-like cat.

Lynxtuft misses Goose when they leave but is still glad he joined MooseClan. He loves to entertain the kits with stories; both real and made-up.

Lynxtuft quickly learnt everything about the Clans and was very persistent on joining, even though he knew he would have to leave his beloved-ship.

Fireroar

Nervous and lore master

Fireroar was a warrior when the forest fire occurred, but he wasn’t born into MooseClan. Although he was raised as one, Fireroar was found as a newborn kit by his mother’s dead body in their territory.

Fireroar has always been a bit of a nervous cat, especially since a fox got him when he was a newly made apprentice. It left a large scar on his back, near his tail.

He would prefer not to take charge in any situation, but enjoys helping. 

Wolfpaw

Bloodthirsty, mossball hunter and oddly observant

Wolfpaw lived in a small town by the docks in Canada, and was found by Lynxtuft when they arrived. She happily joined them.

Wolfpaw is closest with Lynxtuft as they have quite a lot in common. 

She’s a very fast learner and enjoys training a lot. 

She can hear, see and smell anything before anyone else and is very loyal to her Clanmates.

Echokit

Attention-seeker and quick-witted

Echokit was the kit of Bluewhisper and Willowlark and stuck close to the remaining members of the Clan. He had one sibling; Cloudkit.

Bluewhisper died whilst kitting and Cloudkit was still-born, and Willowlark was killed during the forest fire.

Echokit stuck close to Moonstar after his family died and admires him a lot.

He loves attention, but only because he missed out on a lot of it as a kit - what with the Clan travelling. 

Yewkit

Impulsive and mossball hunter

Yewkit was discovered by Moonstar when they were travelling to their territory and was abandoned.

Yewkit was abandoned only a quarter moon before Moonstar found her and has distinct memories of what her family looked like, but nothing else. She believes she got lost from them in a storm and that’s why she was alone.

Yewkit originally thought that if her family came back and found her, she’d leave with them, but now she considers MooseClan her new family.

Leafkit was the kit of Rippleheart and Cloverleaf, and a single kit.

Leafkit’s parents were both killed upon arrival is Canada by a loose dog in the town. 

Since then she stuck close to Yewkit and has a very tiny kitten crush on her, just because Yewkit always plays moss-ball with her and takes care of her. 

Leafkit is a very sweet kit and always offers to help where she can, but because she’s so young, she really can’t be that helpful. But, she tries.

Okay so I only have.. three rn!! I wanted to do one of those limited start clans like @/fog-and-the-frost

The leader is a small black and white tabby tom named Batstar (may change). His story starts in a near death experience. He collapses next to this universe's version of the moonstone/moonpool. Batty is visited by an ancient ghost. They tell him that they will renew him. He will shed his past as a cicada sheds their skin and grow wings. They give him nine lives, the only condition that he uses this gift to lead others to gain their wings as well. Thus he becomes the founder of Cicadaclan. The issue tho? He doesn't want to be. He never wanted to be a leader. He is unsure of himself and the massive responsibility scares him. But he does what the ghost says out of obligation.

Nightfleck (name may change) is an exile from a distant colony of cats. She was exiled for reasons unknown. Finding a motherless kit, she travels to the sacred place to ask starclan for guidance. As now she is responsible for this baby. There is where she finds Batty, near death. When he wakes she asks him what he saw, curious. He tells her what happened and she immediately sees that this is her destiny. She takes a healer position in the newly formed Cicadaclan, promising Batstar protection and guidance. She hopes the kit she rescued grows to be a strong warrior for Cicadaclan one day

The first 3 leaders of CicadaClan, a Clan that does not follow StarClan.... lore abt the leaders below,

Silkstar

The first leader of CicadaClan, previously known as Silkpelt. She was an odd one who readily lead the clan to battle over minor offenses but would appear to arbitrarily overlook more pressing concerns. Under her leadership there were no outsiders permitted into the Clan. She would personally execute any who attempted to leave the Clan and in doing so potentially divulge CicadaClan's secrets to filthy outsiders. Her reign was depressing and stressful for her Clanmates, but none would stand against the Ancestor's wisdom by trying to supplant her as leader.

She was buried alive by a collapsing den, too old and feeble to dig herself out. Many considered this death the Ancestors' punishment upon Silkstar for bringing suffering to her Clan.

Storkstar

The second leader of CicadaClan, previously known as Storkseed. He put an end to the wars Silkstar started and closed off the Clan from the others. He did not bring a patrol to Gatherings, and gave no information about CicadaClan's status. He refused all curious outsiders but would occasionally take in kits abandoned near the tunnel openings.

After a lifelong mutual hatred with another Clanmate, Houndwhistle, things finally boiled over once Storkstar's mate Ryelightning died to the rogues the leader had provoked by taking their kits. Houndwhistle, who viewed Ryelightning as a father or uncle, was utterly inconsolable after his death. He blamed Storkstar's poor judgement for the death, confronting him directly. In the heat of their argument, Houndwhistle attacked him so viciously that Storkstar lost eight lives to his wounds.

No cat knows that Storkstar died to their fellow Clanmate. Houndwhistle continues to live with his own mate Spotears, at peace with the fact that the Ancestors will likely reject him to wander the Dark Forest.

Onestar

The third leader of CicadaClan, previously known as Onetail. He was taken by twolegs as a young warrior, but managed to find his way back to his homeland after 13 moons. He was at first rejected and on the brink of being killed by his Clan, but Storkstar decreed he would be allowed to live if he could find a Cicada's Wing on CicadaClan territory by dawn. Doing so would be considered a sign from the Ancestors that Onetail is a cat of destiny.

Onetail searched until his paws ached and cracked, eventually falling to exhaustion, but pressed on. Despite all odds, at the very last moment a Cicada's wing fell into his pelt, and he proudly returned to his Clan, welcome and admired due to the boon he received from his Ancestors. Storkstar took him as deputy once his former deputy retired.

Onestar runs a much more open CicadaClan than his predecessors. CicadaClan is much warmer to outsiders and rogues, even welcoming them into the Clan if they pass the Nymph Trials. Onestar adopted two abandoned outsider kits at his own, one of which has found his own Cicada's wing and is celebrated by the Clan (much to his sister's dismay, unable to find a wing like her father and brother). He brings a very small troupe to gatherings and has even appointed CicadaClan's first mediator, Spotears, to help communicate with other Clans. CicadaClan has been more prosperous under his guidance, now well over eighty cats strong.

Fun facts: - Rimestar came out as nonbinary <3 - They became leader v young - Aspenspeck + Rimestar both nearly died of deathberry poisoning as apprentices - Aspen is Rime's son, apprentice, and deputy. nepo baby fr - Aspen got the scars on his face from training w/ Rime?? Calm down guys,, - Birdlarch confessed to Rimestar twice + got rejected both times lmao. Medicine cat loser <3
