If Spookies feels like two different movies, it’s because it’s one of those nightmare productions where the “making of” story might be more interesting than the movie itself. Yes, too many cooks spoil the broth and Spookies is solid evidence that too many filmmakers ruin the movie. With production being shanghaied near the beginning of post-production work and half the film reshot, Grue Believers will never know if the original crew’s vision would’ve made a better movie. Throw in some top makeup and effects people early in their careers and the Grue Crew have plenty to fuel their talkabout of this fun, mess of a movie.

At the time of this writing, Spookies is available to stream from Tubi, Shudder, ScreamBox, and AMC+, and on physical media in Blu-ray format in a 2-disc set from Vinegar Syndrome.

Plus too many Little Croquettes jam sessions to count. I went to many of these with @lessjokes and a few with @lizzylizzylizzy. NOFX with @vicwomg was the most memorable since we got to be on stage with the band the whole time. Taylor was the best though, followed by Annabelle Chairlegs and Ruth Radelet and Agar Agar (all of which were part of the Psyched Radio festival, can't wait for next year), and also all the Curling shows were a blast, especially the one with Plash. (Check all of them out if you haven't already!)

SAN BENEDETTO – La Cabina di Regia Comunale Antiviolenza, il  tavolo di lavoro istituito nel maggio 2017 dall’Assessore Antonella Baiocchi, si è rivelato un’idea vincente per l’amministrazione Piunti, in quanto ha portato il Comune di S. Benedetto del Tronto ad un prestigioso risultato: essere tra i firmatari del protocollo antiviolenza che, ieri mattina,  è stato firmato ad Ascoli Piceno, nella sala De Carolis e Ferri dell’Arengo.

Si tratta di un protocollo voluto dalla Regione Marche, che permette a tutti i soggetti che sono coinvolti nella lotta alla violenza (ovvero le Istituzioni, le Forze dell’Ordine, le associazioni del Terzo Settore, il Centro Antiviolenza e altri Enti), di parlare un linguaggio comune e quindi potenziare la comunicazione e la capacità di aiutare le donne ad uscire dall’incubo della violenza in cui troppo spesso cadono.

Al momento delle firme, preceduto dagli interventi del sindaco Guido Castelli, del vice sindaco Donatella Ferretti, dal vice prefetto dott.ssa Anna Gargiulo e dalla dott..sa Paola Mazzoni della Regione Marche, era presente anche una rappresentanza di componenti volontari della Cabina di Regia istituita a San Benedetto: la consigliera Brunilde Crescenzi, la presidente della Commissione Pari Opportunità Maria Antonietta Lupi, la consigliera di Parità Paola Petrucci, il vice Questore Patrizia Peroni, la responsabile del CAV Laura Gaspari, l’avvocato penalista Enrica Piergallini. Presente anche l’Ambito Territoriale Sociale n. 21 con la vicepresidente Emanuela Carboni, assessore alle politiche sociali del comune di  San Benedetto del Tronto.

“E’ stato un grande onore aver partecipato alla stesura di questo protocollo – dice l’assessore alle pari opportunità Antonella Baiocchi – che può essere considerato un primo grande passo verso un nuovo modo di lavorare veramente integrato e concertato. Il momento della firma mi ha molto emozionato: lo considero il traguardo di un lavoro di squadra della nostra amministrazione e sono profondamente grata  al sindaco Pasqualino Piunti per avermi sostenuto nell’idea di istituire una Cabina di Regia Comunale Antiviolenza, al fine di diventare attori attivi della violenza relazionale e domestica che interessa il nostro territorio”.
