THE AL MANASRA FAMILY has days left to fundraise enough for every remaining family member still alive to make it to safety across the border. We have less than a week to get $15k to this Gazan family for five people left in my friend Mohamed’s entire family. Their evacuation date is coming any day. The best time to help is right now.
Mohamed’s wife, Manal, has a medical exemption and is being allowed into Egypt for treatment. Today, Mohamed registered for her to cross the border. She is being evacuated immanently due to the severity of her health condition.
That means that Mohamed himself, who must take care of his wife during her cancer treatment, and their three children who are under the age of ten, are still not guaranteed passage into Egypt. Without enough money, Manal will be separated from her caregiver and her three children will be separated from their mother.
As the genocide escalates with no end in sight, we are seeing survival campaigns reach a fever pitch. Many people need help right now. I beg of you with good hearts, do not ignore people screaming for help.
I am screaming at the top of my lungs on behalf of this family. I have been wailing since late September for this family.
Please do not force them to be separated.
By donating to this campaign, you are helping a family that has lost so much. Thank you for your help.
The Al Manasra family is vetted #192 here by El-Shab Hussein and Nablusi.
Read more of my posts and comics about the Al Manasra family here.
You can alternatively donate to Mohamed’s GOFUNDME page if you have an issue with Chuffed.
Mohamed’s Tumblr page is @save-mohamed-family
By sharing and donating to this campaign, you are helping to prevent family separation and death. The stakes could not be higher, and I thank you sincerely, whoever you are, for continuing to respond to this level of human pain with compassion and generosity rather than scorn. I really thank you.

Hi there! How would the yandere svu guys propose?
oooh i love this! bold of you to think they might actually "propose" naturally LOL. this is just my take but feel free to pitch in with what you think!
Rafael Barba is going to be very strategic with his proposal. He's not taking no for an answer, but he also doesn't want to be humiliated with a rejection. He makes his mama and grandma spend a day with you, and then meets you three at a ritzy NYC restaurant for dinner. He's not getting down on one knee, he's too old for that. Instead, he puts his hand on yours and opens the ring box. It's insanely ornate and expensive, but you'd expect nothing less from Rafael Barba. You look up and see his soft smile. With his mama and grandma there, of course you say yes.
Nick Amaro is gonna get one of those rings that has thorns and legit hurts to remove (like Megan Fox's— google it). He's gonna put it on your ring finger when you're sleeping and give you a big smile when he sees your confusion. Of course he's not giving you a choice, he's "the man" of the relationship. He gets off on this dynamic. You're now going to take care of Gil and Zara, and take care of the home while Nick's working. He's had too many failed relationships, he's not gonna risk things this time.
Mike Dodds has some cutesy romantic thing planned, probably something like a walk by the Hudson. He doesn't plan for a rejection, but if you do reject him, he's gonna give you that brokenhearted puppy expression and you'll reverse your words quickly. His dad is really proud and helped him pick out the flashiest engagement ring. Of course, this is only after Dodds Sr. has fully vetted you. I mean, where else do you think Mike learned these yandere traits from?
Sonny Carisi makes his proposal soooo romantic. He's asked all of his sisters for help, not wanting to risk you saying no. He’ll pick a public place so you’ll feel obligated to say yes and be excited as he declares his undying love for you. The night you get engaged, you bet he’s gonna try for multiple rounds to knock you up. Now there’s a ring on your finger and he has the power in the relationship, so you can’t disagree.

Lord of the rings
A new day and another New York sighting for S, this time not with one, but with two completely new rings, he might or might not have worn yesterday, too:
And closer...
Before the wailings start, I would like to immediately point out that there is absolutely nothing to write home about this old/new index ring.
For it is an old/new ring, with a specific reason to stay on S's index finger. A shoutout to my formidable informer who wishes to remain discreet: I have no merit in this discovery. I am simply offering (after careful vetting and pondering) a drama free, no bullshit explanation.
This is not a regular ring. This is a Finnish Oura intelligent ring - not me saying it, but the New York Times. And yes, Mordor - it's worn on the index finger. It's been on the market since 2015, but it is all the rage now in NYC (https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/oura-ring-sleep-tracker_) :
How can we be so sure, my genius accomplice and I? Insta follows, people:
And it looks even like he's had it for a while:
Ship on. The worst thing I can think of writing about this situation is that the Kardashians wear those, as well.
My attention was, however, focused elsewhere, yesterday and today. First time I see him sporting the sgian-dubh, LOL.
I rest my case. Do not panic. I told you Norouzi was going to be there yesterday evening, and he was.
I also told you, a couple of weeks ago, that I have the distinct impression These Two are trolling their fandom like there's no tomorrow.
I stand by these conclusions and I am also adding this to our table:
Something is shifting, ladies. I don't know what, but it's not negative. It's not negative at all.

Hello, My name is Mohammed, and I'm from Gaza. I am not a robot or a scammer. The war in Gaza has left me with devastating memories and unbearable pain. I lost my parents and siblings in horrifying moments, and my life is now filled with tears and agony. I sustained severe injuries to my leg, and every passing day I feel the threat of losing it due to the lack of necessary treatment. 😭 My beloved wife is suffering from uterine cancer and has not been able to receive chemotherapy sessions since the beginning of the events in Gaza. My innocent children live in constant fear and anxiety, and I cannot bear to see their tear-filled eyes. I humbly and hopefully request your donation of $5 or more to treat my leg, save my wife's life, and secure the future of my children. Every passing minute increases our suffering and pushes us closer to the edge. My story is documented under the number 192, and my information is verified. You can verify this by requesting any information you need. Please donate and share my story with others. My wife, children, and I are waiting for your prayers and support with broken hearts and hanging hopes. Thank you very much.
Hi Mohammed! Of course I'll share
Mohammed is from Gaza, he's 32YO, he's married and he's the father of three children: Abdulrahman, 6 years old, Sarah, 4 years old, and Lina, 3 years old.
Mohammed lost his mother, father, and four sisters who were killed in a bombing, and is now living in tents with his remaining family members, his wife and three young children. he was seriously injured in his foot and it may need to be amputated, but he doesn't care if he loses his foot he just doesn't want to lose his family.
His wife has uterine cancer but hasn't been able to get treatment recently because the genocidal israeli army has destroyed health centers. His children are suffering from infectious diseases spreading throughout gaza, and the little medical treatment available is very expensive.
Mohammed suffers from chronic asthma and severe attacks from tightness and an extreme allergy, and needs meds that are not available, or very expensive. His family lost their home, but they're still there and he's trying to protect them with all he has.
"My main goal with this donation is to protect my children, my wife, and our scaredy cat and evacuate them to a safe place away from the ongoing wars. The funds will be used to cross the Egyptian border and bring basic needs and treatments to create a more stable conditions for my family. Approximately $18,000 will be allocated for travel expenses, and around $6,000 for securing suitable housing for a couple of months. As for the medical treatment costs, the exact figure will be determined after undergoing examinations in hospitals in the Arab Republic of Egypt & it's gonna be in average $8,000. The remaining amount will be used to establish a small project to sustain our daily living, enabling me to provide for my children and wife.
My son, Abdul Rahman, has a deep passion for playing football and is a devoted fan of Real Madrid. He always dreamed of playing football at his school, but the war prevented this dream from coming true.
Where are you, Real Madrid fans?
Help Abdul Rahman achieve his dream."

I have a lovebird question and if you have any input I would be grateful. A few days ago my brother found a lost Fischer's lovebird in a park in NYC. It willingly came to him and was rescued without incident and appears healthy. Bro is looking for the owners and has booked a vet appt with an avian vet, and has the assistance of a neighbor with lovebird knowledge and supplies, the little guy is all set up in a good temporary cage with appropriate food and supervision (though he seems to be spoiled and will only eat millet so far). His cage is safe behind a firmly-shutting door in my brother's room.
The issue is that he seems to have strongly bonded with my brother already and is burrowing in his shirt and sleeping on him and doing all the sweet lovely things that usually (I think?) take a lovebird much longer to warm up to with their human. The bird is tolerant but indifferent of the other humans in the apartment. However, my brother has two young cats and we know bird/cat households are risky or even unethical unless the cats are older or otherwise unlikely/unable to care about a bird, like in your own case.
In your opinion, is separating the lovebird from my brother potentially harmful to the bird's mental or emotional health given the bond that has formed, or is rehoming him going to be okay? We care most about doing what is best for the bird, my brother would miss him obviously but the bird's long term health is what's important here. Thank you for any input you can provide.
Here's a bird tax:
If you are unable to provide a safe and home then rehoming is definitely the better option, even if it causes emotional distress to the bird. No animal ever likes to be rehomed and it is true that birds are exceptionally emotional, but also sometimes it just has to happen. His new home should spend some extra time with him when they first get him because he may be "grieving" your brother, but frankly they should be doing that anyways to bond with him and because parrots are a highly social animal.
Obviously rehoming is a big deal and stressful for animals but it happens all the time. It happens even more often to parrots because they're long lived and a ton of work. Most of them, if they're going to a good home, end up just fine. It's not like this is your bird that you got bored of or something and are just getting rid of him because of that. You're just trying to do what is best for the little guy.

☆Welcome To My Gyaru Blog☆
♡ Intro ♡
Hiiiiiiii! My name is Jax, I’m 23 years old and from NYC! I’ve been gal for almost 2 years now. I don’t consider myself a vet gal by any means (obviously) but I’d like to believe that I have a good basis in the style and makeup! I don’t think my blog posts will be very formal at first but I want a space to share my opinions and document my journey.
I found gyaru and J-fashion through early Tumblr (around 2013/2014), and then rediscovered it in 2020 and fell in love with it all over again. I love gal because of how much tan skin is appreciated! Japanese gals created a space in a colorist society where you could say “I LOVE your tan skin!” I think that’s pretty amazing!!! I also love how gyaru as a style is very hyperfeminine but with a twist. Since becoming a gal, I have learned to care much less what people think. I’m not afraid to express myself or dress in a way that other people might not like. I am unapologetically myself and I partially have gal to thank for that! At first I was really inspired by Ganguro/Old School, I loved how early gals pulled inspiration from Western fashion trends, especially African American Y2K fashion. Though, I should acknowledge that there is a conversation to be had about appreciation vs appropriation, which I might talk about in a later post.
🌺FAQ🌺
I’ll answer some FAQ that gals get so you guys can understand a bit more about my personal philosophies on the style:
💄 Do you need makeup to be gal?
Yes, there are many, MANY different styles of gyaru makeup and all of them are valid, but the only thing that has stayed consistent across gyaru “substyles” is the makeup (and hairstyling/nails), but the defining feature of gal is the makeup. This is a sentiment that has been echoed in both the Gaijin and Japanese gal communities. You don’t need to wear heavy yamanba makeup every single day, it’s understandable that some days you might not have time or energy to do your hair, money to do your nails, ect. The important part is that you do these things as much as possible as well as incorporating gal into your life in other ways!
🌺Can you be gal if you’re white or not asian?
Yes, anybody can be gal!
👛Do you need brand to be gal?
NO. Even the most well known gaijin gals own Western fast fashion brands. A lot of similar items to the ones Japanese gals wore can be found second hand or in your local mall. Obviously, finding a dupe for an item can be difficult if that item has a specific print like the Alba Rosa coat and some MA*RS sets (though Shein did have a MA*RS dupe dress last year), but other than that a lot of gal outfits are easily replicable. Magazine scans are going to be your best friend if you wanna get the style right, it is much easier to get the gal look you want when you have a clear basis/inspiration for the coords and makeup you wanna wear. Also, simply owning brand is not enough to put together a good outfit, a lot of people who wear a lot of brand lack inspiration and originality. I am not anti-brand by any means. I have a huge list of brand items I want, and I even ordered my first brand piece recently (a MA*RS handbag). But it’s just not necessary, and some brands are essentially the equivalent of Japanese Charlotte Russe or Forever 21. The brands are still fast fashion and a lot of second hand brand items are falling apart, smell, have stains, ect. Don’t stress about brand unless you really want it! It took me almost two years to buy my first piece, you’ll be okay without it! Learning HOW to style, is a lot more important than WHAT you style. A good gal can make almost anything gal, but “bad” gal can end up making anything, even brand, look cheap and tacky.
(hint, hint: a lot of it honestly is and that’s why styling really matters)
Substyles I’m currently into and why!:
🦋Agejo🦋:
So, when you think of agejo, it probably looks something like this:
This specific type of agejo is what tends to be most represented on Google and Pinterest. Newbies to the style might think that pink, black, cheetah print, lace stockings, and big hair is all there is to the style. But boy would you be wrong!!!
Look at some of these scans from Ageha, most of these are from 2008-2012. Look at how many different types of agejo are represented! Of course the iconic pink and black MA*RS sets can be found in some spreads, but they’re much less common than most gals think!
See how different the above images are? Agejo literally translates to “butterfly lady”, so in a lot of Ageha editions, especially in the spreads for more formal dresses, you will see a lot of butterfly motifs! Isn’t it crazy that the style that has butterfly in the name, yet it isn’t commonly associated with butterflies at all? I also learned from my friend Haruka (@otknoharuka on Instagram) that in Japan, Agejo is considered a style under the Hime umbrella. It actually makes a lot of sense if you’ve seen a lot of ageha scans.
I know, technically you can argue that some of the outfits in these scans could be considered another substyle. But let’s just remember that substyles aren’t real and they’re something Western gals came up with to make sense of the scans/information that was available to them at the time!
I really started understanding this style more when I started to religiously scour Ageha scans. At first I was an Egg girl all the way but I’m glad I actually took the time to read other magazines. Egg is iconic but it’s far from all there is in terms of gyaru magazine inspiration. I totally fell in love with this substyle when I finally tried out the softer, more dolly makeup look that’s common in Ageha magazine (example below). It suits my features so much better than the harsher gal make I used to do.
An early attempt of mine at Agejo/Ageha inspired makeup:
A more recent attempt:
🐆Banba🐆:
Personally I’ve never been into more “out there” styles like ya/manba. I don’t think they really suit me, and it’s just generally not the gyaru vibe I’m looking for. But Banba has recently been resonating with me recently. If you don’t know, the term banba comes from combining “barbie” and “manba.” It’s a more toned down and hyper feminine version of manba. I also find that it’s more beginner-friendly than some other substyles (in terms of coords).
A lot of the outfits are composed of muted colors, tans/browns, black, white, and animal prints. These are all items that are very easy to find, it’s just a matter of learning how to style them! I also love how glittery the makeup is, and the nails are to die for. I’ve actually been teaching myself how to make nails and a big part of it is because I don’t feel complete without them, especially when doing styles like this!!
Some banba inspo I’ve pulled from recently:
Some recent attempts of mine:
I’m going to end this blog post here!! I had a lot of fun making it and I’m excited to do more posts in the future!! I think my next post will be a unpopular gyaru opinions post, might rial some people up but in classic gal fashion I simply do not give a fuck.
I hope you’re having an amazing day wherever you are!!

I've been reading "The Road To Woodstock" by Michael lang, who was the bonafide 'leader' of the festival's creation and execution (producer? Organizer?) and it is so interesting. The outside perspective of the 'hippie' movement (or if you're an abbie Hoffman fan, the 'yippies') has been flattened and poisoned by decades of what I genuinely believe to be psyop propoganda; Woodstock is. If nothing else, proof of the Ideal human spirit and community WORKING. I'll have more thoughts as I get through it, but I think one portion I found really interesting was th hold on I'm helping a baby woodpecker get back on his tree. Okay anyways
One thing I found interesting was their pursuit of security. They wanted and needed some form of security at the festival, in part to assuage the surrounding communities anxieties but also they wanted there to be. You know. Some level of authority in that.... There was about to be several hundred thousand young folk tripping balls. They needed to have people who were safe and sober to turn to in emergency. They ended up commissioning some NYC cops but notably vetted them and made sure to go. Look. You're not booking people. You're not policing. You're not looking to criminalize anyone. You're here to make sure people feel safe and cared after. You're here to make sure people have a good time. Etc etc. It's more complex than that (and made more complex by some vile decision making that the chief of police made about this) but it's a really like succinct explanation of how true to heart the festival was. It wasn't really for the money. The aquarian expo was very much to prove to the wider world: look at our experiment of community. Notice how it's working. Notice that we're every race gender creed background and we're getting along and we're rallying for love and rallying against hatred. And it SUCCEEDED!! man. I think the second biggest Wow spiritual moment is that fifth or sixth encore Richie havens gets and he's run out of songs and so he just has to. Try. And what comes out is the hallmark and one of the most memorable aspects of the festival. His freedom chant that also goes into the old black spiritual motherless child....it is so representative of the experiment. It's raw. It's peaceful. It's about connection. It's Black. It's everyone. There's SOUL embedded into it. And I won't let any of the people who are close to me every forget it!! Woodstock should be talked about more!! Dude!

Life update and happy Halloween
So it's been a week of me completely self isolating so I figure it's about time I crawl out of the woodwork to vent about where I've been to make me feel better.
My sibs and I went to a Game con with my brother. Didn't really have fun. apparently it was the year of fucking tall shovey nerds who had no problem shoving my 5'3" ass around like a kick ball but who fucking cares. Immediately had company over for like 4 days after and whether it's good company or not company in general just drains my battery.
As soon as company left my brother threw out his back. It was so bad we almost called an ambulance. While he was down for the count my older sister had already had plans for a vacation to go to NYC Comic Con with her friend and would be gone all week, which left just me and my 90lb mother to handle all the chores of the farm for the week.
During this week my mom went through a bout of depression and insisted she needed more animals to fix it, as she does, so a few new friends were added to the farm family and I participated with my fam in the baton pass relay of walking a pony home 6 miles, and then company came of AGAIN to help out because we couldn't handle it all alone.
In fairness, as stressful as that time was I would do this all again for the next event to have never happened. One week ago from today my goat, my son, Muh Buhbee, Vincent Van Goat passed away...
I don't know how to explain this better... To some people he would be a pet... and to different people that word means different things. To me, Vinny was my son. I was handed this dying baby boy, rejected by his mother and left out in a field in the rain for 2 hours after his birth on a surprisingly chilly June day... The man of the house managed to get him to drink some pasteurized cows milk from his fridge, which he could not digest and immediately had violent diarrhea... He was two hours old... and I took him and held him and woke up every two hours to feed him and begged him to live. And he did. This was my son and all the feelings and attachment that goes with that title. Unfortunately he was a meat goat. A breed only bred to get fat and be slaughtered after a year, not bred and screened for potential health problems later down the line. The vet said that by the time he had shown symptoms it would have been too late and that he was in considerable pain and having minor seizures. The vet assisted him in passing away last Tuesday. I have been emotionally fucked ever since. And when I'm fucked I self isolate. I'm trying to be normal again. Trying to be okay. I'm tired of being sad. But I still am. Before the loss of Vinny some new friends came to live at the farm.
Frida is spicy. Lovey and great with humans. Unfortunately she is telling the other goats that she is the new boss with Vinny gone.
Lily isn't fighting her on that but Daisy is not having it. I think Frida is probably going to win the right to be the new barn boss though.
Despite being good with humans, Frida has completely rejected her own son, Rembrandt and won't let him hang out with the other goats. He has his own group now with the twins
Terra and Luna. Both are sweet girls but Luna is more sociable than Terra. I'm going to try and get back to being the usual freak I am, because self isolating longer than a week is probably not healthy for me. but I'm still sad. I'm still tired. And I still wake up and for a split second fel normal because for that moment I forget that I lost Muh Buhbee.

A little blah
The covid and flu shot left me feeling a little blah. No fever and not terrible but the aches you get from being sick. Taking care of kids when you don't feel great is the pits.
My cousin is staying with us after a work trip. The kids were so excited. The girls stayed up and played card games with her.
Today we went to Alexander Hamiltons house for a tour. Its a national park about twenty blocks from us. My favorite part is the video where they show them picking up and moving the house 1.5 city blocks in 2008. The tour was a half an hour and the girls did great. I think they would have gotten bored if it was any longer. I ordered a book about Alexander Hamilton for us to read.
We finally found someone who did a good job on baby boy's hair. Apparently the sixth time is a charm.
Tmrw we are getting family pictures. The Jewish Community Center is offering a cheap 15 minute short session. I would like one good picture of all of us. Then the girls and I are going to see Dr Gabby Wild - a wildlife vet that we've seen one other time. This event is about Wolves so we watched a Wild Kratts about a baby wolf today. The girls learn and repeat so much from that show - more then any other show. There is a breakfast, a "wolf mystery" and then some STEM activities. I think they will love it. Next month she is doing one about apes. I'm going to see if she does school visits and would give a Title 1 school a discount.
The school asked the PTA board if we could get 400 empanadas delivered to the school on Monday at 1:30. For the Hispanic Heritage celebration all of the kids have been learning dances from different countries. They asked us on Friday afternoon and were hoping "we had an empanada connection." Ugh, no I don't have an empanada connection. Its NYC so a restaurant said they would do it but we decided the request was too late for us to spend the cash. If they would have asked earlier we could have negotiated a better deal.
Friday I did Halloween cookie decorating with Bee's class. Plus, read a Halloween book. Which was fun. The kids were all very happy.
The other PTA mom got 300 apples at a really cheap discount for our Fall Fest. Which is a great food item to have. She wants to do apple bobbing. But that's a bad hygiene idea nowadays, right?? I don't want to criticize someone's idea but I'm relaxed about germs and still don't want my kids to do that. No thank you Covid and/or the Flu. Google had the idea to hang apples by a clothesline and have the kids individually try to eat them. I'm thinking I'll suggest that or should I leave it alone?

Why might it be that Hamilton doesn't mention Fanny in his letter of 21 Aug 1794 to Eliza?
I don't know, although I don't think we have several sources confirming when Fanny left the Hamilton household that may not be referencing each other - I believe it's James A. Hamilton's Reminiscences cited in stating that after 10 years (when she was 12) she resided with her sister's family, and The Life of Arthur Tappan confirming the same.
Fanny was the youngest of (at least?) 6 siblings, and belonged to a large family with a number of acquaintances, so perhaps she was, at times, in the care of others. Her own connection to Albany (below) can lead one to conjecture that Fanny may have stayed with others when the Hamilton kids were moving back and forth between Philadelphia or NYC and Albany.
Mary (Manette (Maria)) Antill (b 1771), the sister who both sources confirm took Fanny in at some later point, married Rev War vet Col Gerrit G Lansing (b 1760) in 1786 in Albany*, so it's possible that she was in her sister's care earlier than those sources state, or at least stayed with her for periods. Gerrit Lansing also served under AH at Yorktown. The Lansings were a well-known family in Albany - Gerrit's brother, John Ten Eyck Lansing Jr, was Albany's mayor in 1786, one of the two other NY delegates, a noted anti-Federalist, and so on. How the Hamiltons' care for Fanny fit within her sister's connection to the Lansing family is something we don't know.
A letter from Philip Schuyler to EH mentioning the children in 1792 or 3 also only lists the "dear boys" and "Angelica," as I recall. Whether that's because Fanny wasn't actually with them and spent time with her sister Mary in Albany, or it was a convention to not include her, I'm not certain.
I think the only thing that becomes a bit clearer with this new information is that it becomes stronger to support the claim that Fanny's father specifically wanted her in the care of the Hamiltons, and that her mother too (given they chose EH as godmother of their youngest children) would have supported that.
One could also wonder why, if the 1797 date is correct, did she thereafter permanently reside with her sister? Does this have to do with the stability of her Lansing sister, who is now 26 (instead of 16 and newly married) or of that household? Isn't there a historian who seriously opined that it was because of Callendar's publication of the Reynolds allegations? But I don't think we have any sources for that timing.
*One source claims that Lansing, MI is named after Mary and Gerritt's son, Richard Ray Lansing, born in 1789 - read about that fun connection here, though others state it's named after John Lansing, Jr.

it’s crazy to think about how mohamed is chronically ill just like i am. while i an medically gaslit and blamed in american hospitals, he barely has access to care at all. i only need to care for myself and my small household; mohamed has a wife and three children relying on him. he has the same trouble breathing that i do when my illness is at its worst. he has the same pain in his face.
to assist this family is to assist all of us who are abandoned by imperialist models of care; disabled liberations means free palestine. a radical approach to illness is a decolonial approach. please help my friend.

We’re Here to Help!
We’re more than happy to help expedite your search and offer additional customer support! While we don’t place families and Kid Experts like a traditional service, if you email us with your scheduling needs, we can pass along Kid Experts interested in those opportunities, or put out additional feelers for your fam to assist in finding your perfect match. 🙂
“Prior to using Curated Care’s services, I either had to rely on references from friends or other parents in the neighborhood or go through very expensive placement services” explains New York City mama, Nan Sue, “Curated Care was beyond amazing and helpful when I needed a sitter for the entire school year. We got a sitter who my children love! Curated Care is hands down the best service available to parents in Manhattan right now.”

(—) ★ spotted!! MARGARITA ‘MAGGIE’ ROSARIO on the cover of this week’s most recent tabloid! many say that the 24 year old looks like CHRISTINA NADIN, but i don’t really see it. while the MODEL/WRITER is known for being EBULLIENT my inside sources say that they have a tendency to be LOQUACIOUS i swear, every time i think of them, i hear the song BRUISES by RENEE RAPP {she/her / cisfemale}
the statistics
name: margarita ‘maggie’ rocio rosario age: 24 dob: march 16, 1999 gender: cisfemale sexuality: bisexual occupation: model/writer ( writing career claim: sarah j. maas )
the history
born the youngest of five children, maggie has always been the type to take care of others. whether it be her older siblings (three brothers and a sister) or her parents. when she was thirteen years old, maggie found herself in the midst of a huge custody battle after her mother cheated on her father with his brother. it felt that they would have shared custody of their underage children.
her parents constantly fought after the divorce, barely being able to stand being in the same room as one another. longer than an hour and bitterness would take over. it only got worse when her mother got remarried to her uncle, who became her step-father. it felt like her life was spent growing up in a soap opera.
the older she got, the more that maggie began to hide behind the façade of perfection. they didn’t have time to worry about her if she was always active in school and community. not only did she do every extra curricular that she could find, ran in a tight knit social circle and even kept a part time job at a bookstore in the city. if her life wasn’t a whirlwind, maggie would find herself becoming overwhelmed by the sense of duty she felt to her family.
at sixteen years old, maggie had the most cliche beginning to fame that could have possibly happened, which she still jokes around about to this day. she was working at the bookstore when she was scouted for modeling and after vetting the man who approached her, maggie decided to go for it. it was just supposed to be another part time thing that helped her make cash on the side and soon enough it turned into traveling into new york city to do fashion shows and shoots in big companies.
this was not the life she envisioned for herself but modeling was giving her enough to make her way through college which is what she wanted. she enrolled in columbia university school of the arts for writing with a concentration in fiction writing.
it hasn’t been much and she continues to model for her agency on the side but her primary focus now is building connections through the industry she plans to break out in.
( updated information tw: substance abuse , eating disorder )
after coming back to hollywood after finishing school and trying to settle back into life in california, she ended up catching back up with longtime best friends johnny kennedy and maddox mckelvie. after years of the two of them pretending that there was nothing more between the two of them, maggie eventually ended up kissing maddox while she was drunk. he pushed her away due to feeling unworthy of her and broke her head, sending her sailing back to nyc. only he followed her there and admitted that he was in love with her. the two have been together since – maggie helping maddox find reasons to try and stay sober. her next journey for herself was to finally publish her first book, but the pressure of failing to get any publication companies interested at first has destroyed her own self worth and she’s found herself falling back into self-sabotage habits, which includes relapsing into her eating disorder due to needing the control in her life.
