headcanon that veronica stampler actually used to be really big into the alternative scene and had dyed hair/piercings so scary's "rebelling" against her mom really does not bother her at all fashion wise . her mom is just upset about her attitude but shes down with the piercings and dyed hair

no cause have we like. laughed at the absurdity of it all yet?? The Stamplers must be fucking cursed at this point holy shit. All Ron ever wanted to do was to have a family and he didn’t know how to fucking do that but then he met people who helped him figure it out and then right away it was ripped away from him by something eldritch his dad had helped create. Ron was fucked over constantly by Willy and the wake of everything he said and did both to Ron and to the people he cared about and no matter what he fucking did he couldn’t stop it

now we flash forward a bit. they’re back and he’s in love with his wife and Terry Jr and him are friends and he calls Ron dad and Ron has finally found people who will love him no matter what and there’s maybe two days of that before Henry gets stabbed and the doodler gets released and YEAH SURE it was running through the Oaks veins but now literally surrounding him at all times is another reminder of his dads manipulation of Willys influence of Willys control of Willy in general so he starts DADDIES. and tries to get rid of it

and then he fails

and then TJ and Grant and Lark and Sparrow and Nick take over and they turn on each other and then TJ has his own family and he wants them to love him so bad the same way Ron wanted him to love him so bad but he can’t fucking do anything but try but trying isn’t working he can’t love someone who doesn’t want to be loved but Ron is dead. Or missing. Or whatever he’s not there. Terry Jr is fatherless again and all the while he’s a bad father and all he wants to do is hug Ron and apologize again and again and again but he cant

and then Scary gets involved. and terry hates himself for it. the same was Ron hated himself when Terry got involved but he’s stuck he fucked up he can’t do anything about it this is his fault for having a family his fault for marrying Veronica his fault for caring Ron loved Samantha despite what Willy put him through Terry loved Veronica despite the fact that he was fighting an eldritch war they were not the same and then TJ meets Terry. Meets the kid that existed before his own and shes open and loving and careful and optimistic and it kills him. it kills him because he doesn’t love her any less she’s still his daughter but Terry isn’t herself anymore and fuck fuck she’s about to watch him die he’s about to traumatize her again he’s about to leave her fatherless again he tries to think of what Ron would say he tries to think of what his mom would say and he almost smiles at the absurdity of it as “whos your daddy now?” comes to mind but then he’s hugging her and apologizing and he remembers who Willy Stampler has with him.  Terry Jr is going to die and its his best friends finger on the trigger and its his Grandfather saying ready aim fire 

and it hits him that he never left that fucking tower. he never escaped that fucking castle. terry jr dies having never made any goddamn impact in the world. i mean of course, any good impact in the world.

The kiddads + spouses and the teens both have a party on the same day somehow the adults end up playing spin the bottle and Never Have I Ever and end up with a hangover they have to try and hide from their kids whilst the teens just talk over dinner and maybe play a board game together

Since you seem to be having a bad day, I threw together a little ficlet for you. Read/respond at your leisure (whether that's in 3 minutes or not until next year)

It had been a long fucking day.

It was a full day of teaching for Terry Jr, with a bad cold wiping out the entire drama department of San Dimas High (which had only been two teachers and a tech in the first place). There was screaming, and snotty noses, and one or two kids bursting into tears, and by the time the school bell rang, he was just about ready to collapse. And, of course, that was clearly asking too much, because it was drama club that day. 2 whole hours of dealing with kids who are meant to be off book two weeks ago, and still hadn't learnt half their lines. It was a fucking nightmare.

Now, dear reader, don't misunderstand. Terry absolutely adored his job and the kids he worked with. But today was one of those days where you just want to roll over and hide back under the covers.

The train had been cramped and noisy, even if the journey had been mercifully free from the kids usual loud arguments. (Why they insisted on riding back with Terry Jr, he had no idea. It was baffling though that Scary waited for him, and they were going to the same house. Although, somehow, her friends always seemed to stay over longer than expected.) Honestly, it was a relief to lock the door behind them all, the kids rushing off to the garden for soccer practice - mostly moral support to be honest.

Terry wearily pulled off his shoes, before turning to Scary.

"Hey, kiddo, I'm gonna go have a lie down. Let your mom know, okay?"

Scary, for once, didn't seem to protest either the request or the nickname. She just nodded, frowning.

"Yeah, sure. Go have a nap or whatever." He ruffled her hair a little (this did elcit an irritated groan. He may not be her dad, but she was still his kid and it was his duty to embarrass her in front of her friends after all) and headed upstairs.

Terry didn't bother to turn on the lights as he collapsed down into the bed, just letting himself he enveloped by the darkness and the comfy sheets. He felt bad about breaking his normal routine of kissing Veronica when they both got home, but honestly he just couldn't handle doing anything other than laying down right now.

He lay there with his head burried in the pillow for maybe a minute, maybe an hour, when he felt the bed dip.

"Hey, Tear-Bear. Bad day?"

There was his amazing wife, the light of his life. Her hair was flying loose from her bun, and even in the dark Terry could see that her office clothes were slightly rumpled.

She was stunning.

"You know, you gotta stop picking up Nicky's pet names. He has far too many." Terry mumbled as he grabbed her hand, tiredly bringing it up to his lips.

"Ah, but that would mean I don't get to hang out with your wife as much. Darling." A familiar weight draped itself over him, tail curling round his leg. "Dropping round unexpectedly and hanging out with V without you is half the fun."

Nicky's voice was a soothing rumble against his chest. Somehow, just having his two partners here made it easier to relax. Even if Nicky had definitely not announced that he'd be coming over. Veronica kicked her feet up and slung an arm over Terry's shoulder, pulling him closer.

"Come on, time for you to rest, TJ."

”Something Terry wanted to give her when he passed.” Scary raises her eyebrows a little, stares at the letter. It has Veronica written on it in cursive letters, she flips it around to look at it fully. “He wrote one for you too, I think he left it at D.A.D.D.I.E.S.” Grant adds on, he doesn’t meet her eyes. “Next time you’re there, check that picture he has of you on his desk.” He says. Scary huffs, flips the envelope back around so she can see Terry’s handwriting. It’s in black pen ink. She runs a thumb down it. “I’m sorry.” Grant says. She huffs, scrunches up her nose and turns back to her house.

“Don’t bother.” She retorts, walking back to her door, she doesn’t open it until she hears the van pull away. She digs her hand into the front pocket of her bag, there’s an empty memory syringe in there, as well as a few of Taylor’s ninja rocks. She finds her house key among them, pulls it out and unlocks the door. She pauses in the doorway for a minute, just staring down an empty hallway. The house has never felt this empty.

Ok so I just finished listening to episode 25 of Dungeons and Daddies, so I’m going to try my best to articulate my feelings/make myself feel better.

- we will most likely find out what happened to the dads in the next episode, either through Grant (and the other dads if their no longer frozen). Or Hermie/Mae. If we hear nothing, that means something bad happened. I don’t think all the dads are dead especially since Willy got their pretty quickly,

-I don’t think Willy will physically hurt Scary YET. He definitely will, but I think he’s still going to be playing the long con, especially if he learns normal is the only one who can sense the anchors. However, as people have pointed out, Veronica is technically Scary’s only human connection right now, and that connection isn’t even that strong. If I had to guess Willy is gonna target that relationship next.
